We booked our event early this year, 2023. We spoke with Rachel, who was incredible, but have yet to talk to her again, and then we spoke briefly with Myoung, who ended up leaving the venue and couldn't really help us. I know for a while 1757 was looking to hire a replacement coordinator and I think we were just out of luck while they were looking for one. We have had a very good planning meeting with Jasmine and are looking forward to ironing out the rest of our details before our day in January. Reviewed on 10-11-2023

We loved 1757 because it was one stop shopping. They have all the linen colors you could ever want, they provide a day-of coordinator, it’s a large space with indoor and outdoor options, and their restaurant has great food which caters for the wedding. The hiccups: our day-of coordinator quit working for 1757 6 weeks prior to our wedding - she told us 2 weeks prior to her last day so we had 8 weeks notice. These things happen; however, we got to 4 weeks out from the wedding and no one from 1757 had contacted me so I emailed them. They told me someone would contact me within one week - one week later I emailed them and they told me to wait one more week. At this point we were headed to our bachelor/bachelorette parties and I was freaking out and told them I had to have a meeting ASAP. They did accommodate but it was off putting because of the lack of communication. We liked the new coordinator but it felt as though we had to think of every question possible because she was so new and didn’t know how everything worked. For example, I had to ask for every meeting we had, and in our final meeting I asked if she needed our signature drinks ahead of time and she told me she did, and then emailed me back after our phone call to say she needed the menu ASAP as they were placing the bar order that afternoon. If I hadn’t asked would we just not have had signature drinks? The other REALLY big hiccup is that there was virtually no AC the day of the wedding in the ceremony/reception space. Earlier in the day I heard them speaking to a maintenance man about their options for solutions, but no one told us about the situation and when we walked into the room and asked for them to turn up the AC, they just said “it’s coming!” It was so incredibly hot and I was really upset that they didn’t have any fans to bring in or a backup option to cool people down. It greatly effected the wedding because people were actually going outside on a 90 degree day in July to try to cool down. They then realized the restaurant had AC so some went in there. We weren’t able to have everyone in one place to see everyone and have our dance floor full like we would have wanted to - let alone the fact that my hair had fallen out after being in there for 30 minutes for the ceremony and was a wreck by the time dinner was over. Everyone was commenting on how hot it was and it really distracted from the wedding. I gave them a hit on professionalism for this because again, no one communicated anything with us. I’m going to be honest, I feel like we should have received money back because the facility was not in proper working order, but their method of dealing with it was to not address it like we wouldn’t notice it. I believe people could have a wonderful wedding here, but we were pretty upset with the problems from ours and the lack of communication or attempt to make it right. Reviewed on 01-08-2023

1757 was an absolute gorgeous venue and so easy to work with! For a NOVA venue, you get so much included with the price and do not have to look elsewhere for catering. Plus the location is very convenient, 10 minutes away from Dulles airport with plenty of hotels, restaurants, and shops nearby. There was a change of wedding coordinator hands after we booked with them, but Myoung handled this change seamlessly and opened the line of communication right when she took on the position. From that point on, she was very easy to communicate with and answered all of our many questions very quickly. She was able to meet all of our requests in the planning process and she set up the space exactly as I envisioned on the day of. During the wedding, Myoung made sure everyone stuck to the timeline even though we didn’t even realize it in the moment. It was also so nice to have the 1757 staff take over set up and take down of decorations to limit our stress, without having to hire an additional wedding planner to assist with that. The food and drinks were great and served right on time! The two best features (in our opinion) that sold us was that we were able to hang our engagement photos in the lobby where they typically hang golf magazine covers, and that we were able to rent out some of the range bays during cocktail hour and for a small after party for a very reasonable price. This was a hit (literally) with our guests and many of them are still talking about it! We had such a great time working with 1757 who helped make our wedding go as smoothly as possible, and would highly recommend. Reviewed on 17-07-2023

Myoung really went above and beyond and made wedding planning such a breeze. She was extremely respectful, responsive, and accommodating throughout the entire process and made sure our wedding day went perfectly. The venue itself is beautiful and conveniently located next to hotels, restaurants, and Dulles Airport. We had about 75 guests and the venue space was perfect for that amount, especially the cocktail hour area and the dance floor. We decided to have the french fry bar for a late night snack and that was a huge hit with our guests! The drinks and food were also great. Highly recommend!! Reviewed on 22-11-2022

Myoung, the day-of-coordinator, was very responsive in answering all of my emails and questions. She did a great job handling the setup of the wedding and keeping everything on track. The venue itself is very pretty and we loved that we could have our ceremony outside. We appreciated that 1757 had a very solid rain plan, so we had no worries that our ceremony would be beautiful inside or outside. We did a first look on a bridge on the golf course and took a couple other photos in picturesque spots. The weather was fantastic on our day, so a large portion of our guests hung out on the patio throughout the wedding. We heard from many guests that the food was delicious, particularly the crab cake appetizers, the raspberry & brie appetizers and the salmon with honey bourbon glaze. We added the golf driving range to our cocktail hour and highly recommend it! Our guests had so much fun and we got some great photos of us golfing with the wedding party. The bartenders did a fantastic job and Isabella, especially, deserves a shout out. She made a custom mixed drink on the spot that became popular with many guests. Thank you!! Reviewed on 02-11-2022

Myoung and her team were beyond phenomenal and supportive not only on our wedding day but for the months leading up to our day. Myoung made sure all of our vendors knew where to go and kept us on schedule all day. Gina Castelvecchi(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2022 First of all, beyond anything, the coordinator Myoung is amazing. She was only working there 6 months at the time of our wedding and she expertly handled all our homemade decor, including allowing us to set up a chuppah inside (and the awesome staff for moving it so easily and quickly)! When a freaking hurricane was in town during a normally good weather weekend, Myoung and the venue as a whole made our last minute adjustments as flexible as possible and put us at ease as the stress built. The venue is also beautiful and large enough for almost any size wedding without being cavernous. The bar was also great and mixed drinks well. That being said, we were extremely disappointed with the food. We paid for the top package so that we could have a bigger cocktail party (being used to NY-style weddings) and get access to the better entrees. However all the appetizers were gone within 15min, including both passed and plated - many guests never got anything. For the entree, our tasting had the best steak either of us ever tasted, but the actual wedding cut was dry, overcooked, and for some reason without any sauce. We were not able to eat enough and were very disappointed since we paid for the upcharge packages. Reviewed on 12-10-2022

Our bridal suite looked like a tornado ran through the room and somehow the staff managed to get everything back into boxes for us to pick up the next day. Shianne Chong(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-09-2021 I will breakdown the review into 3 parts covering the following areas: the venue, the services, and Rachel (the wedding coordinator and events manager). The venue was beautiful and a great location for our wedding. It was close the Dulles International Airport which made it convenient for our guests flying into town. The parking at 1757 Golf Club was ample and convenient for our guests. The location is off main roads with a stoplight at its entrance which made the drive very easy. The grounds were clean and well maintained in the front and the back. The back patio was a beautiful location to have the ceremony and to have guests get some fresh air, move around, and take the party outdoors. They had nice Christmas style lighting as well as firepits. The venue itself is isolated from the rest of the golf club which made it feel private, with its own bathrooms, cocktail/bar room, entrance, and reception area. The reception area had high ceilings and windows which made it feel large and open. The services were excellent. Our family is very decerning about food, and we received many outstanding feedback about our selections. Between the cocktail hor d'oeuvres and the dinner entrees, our guests loved them. We would recommend trying the lamb and penne pesto if possible. The wait staff was professional and courteous, before, during, and after the wedding. They kept drinks full, and tables clean all throughout the night. We recommend renting the golf ranges which is located right by the back patio. This kept our guests happy and provided for some fun moments.Rachel was outstanding. She was our point of contact throughout the wedding. She was very professional and responsive, answering any and all of our questions. She worked with us to accommodate special requests and provided solutions that helped our families have fun and stay safe for Covid. She was there from the beginning to the end. She made it very easy for us to envision our wedding and bring it to life. Our wedding had a lot small item details to be placed on each guest table, and Rachel and her team were able to stay organized and place everything in the exact spot we envisioned them to be in. She was a pleasure to work with and are very thankful for everything above that helped make our wedding day beautiful, delicious, seamless, and special. Thank you! Reviewed on 25-09-2021

We hosted our ceremony outside on the terrace and had our reception in their ballroom. We absolutely loved working with Rachel in the planning process. She was very responsive to the many emails I sent her. She worked really hard to make sure the venue was everything we wanted it to be. At the beginning of the planning process, she also provided us with a list of their recommended vendors which we ended up using their recommended florist and photo booth company. For food we used their menu from their restaurant. Three weeks later and our guests are still raving about how good the food was! During the day of the wedding, Rachel helped make sure that the vendors showed up, orders were correct, and that everything was set up the way it was supposed to be. Me and my bridesmaids were able to get ready at the venue which made things VERY easy. Rachel provided a beautiful getting ready space that was large enough for our hair and makeup artists, but also large enough for the girls to lounge around. After visiting a few different venues, Kelsey greeted me at our first visit, and I knew this is who I wanted to work with and where I’d like to get married. She was genuinely excited to be doing what she was doing and it made the whole process so much fun. She offered great tips and suggestions based on not only other brides’ weddings, but her own that took place there. Once the contract was signed, Rachel helped us with more specific planning and was our Day of Coordinator. Leading up to our wedding she was great at communicating any changes we’d need to make due to the pandemic (amount of guests/tables we could have, requiring a plated meal, how cocktail hour would go) and made me feel less anxious about the whole process. She created the timeline for our wedding day which was so helpful to not only myself, but our other vendors. Our wedding day was hands down the best day of our lives and we owe most of the credit to Rachel and the staff at 1757. We were able to really enjoy ourselves knowing that they had everything under control. Also, they now have a BEAUTIFUL bridal suite which was ready just in time for us to use. Rachel Sawyer was a fantastic coordinator- the only advice that I'd give to couples is to keep in mind that Rachel is only one person. She was busy (rightfully busy, I must add) coordinating the wedding ceremony start. We were taking pictures and I was thinking she would come grab us before the ceremony start. However, I had to remember she can't be in three places at once! I kept track of my own time while taking pictures- assign someone to do this. The serving staff were efficient- we loved doing the served option, especially with 135 guests, which was a perfect amount for that space. You CAN fit up to 200 but I feel like any more than 150 would feel crowded. We LOVED the chicken with crab and New York strip steak. This was probably to best choice we made throughout the entire wedding. Katie was amazing! She worked closely with the DJ to make the night run smoothly, so I didn't have to step in AT ALL! She also contacted the photographer to schedule a tour with her for ideas on locations where we should take photos the week before the wedding. She allowed us to use a golf cart as our getaway car (which I don't think normally happens) at the end of the night. She was so accommodating throughout the entire process. The entire morning before we had torrential downpours, and she continued to go outside and place the string lights we requested on the patio. There was no stopping her!
