Located in Kansas City, MO, 2016 MAIN is an urban and stylish wedding venue. It is nestled in downtown Kansas City's Crossroads district, providing a lively backdrop to a couple's big day. With modern and elegant interiors, the venue lets soon-to-be-weds curate a celebration that leaves a lasting impression. 2016 MAIN is a renovated space that has a contemporary art gallery-style vibe while still maintaining the charms of the building's original architecture. The venue is suited to small gatherings as well as soirees of up to 180 people (seated). Easily adapted to different kinds of events, it can provide the setting for both ceremonies and receptions. With dark hardwood flooring and marble accents, this locale exudes luxury and sophistication. The team at 2016 MAIN offers a number of services to make organizing your big day straightforward, such as different bar packages. They also provide extensive planning services to help you feel at ease as the many details of your big day come together. When booking an event here, tables, chairs, audiovisual equipment, and more are also included. We couldn't be happier with 2016 Main! We had booked the venue for our September 2023 wedding. In March, we received an email saying that ownership had changed. My now husband and I were worried about what that change would look like. Upon talking and meeting with Nico, the new owner, we were instantly relieved. He has extensive experience in the service industry and offered up suggestions and ideas for our big day. He also has made lots of improvements to the venue as well. Our guests kept commenting on how great the space looked. His communication was top-tier and was a big part of why our wedding day went so smoothly! We booked the space for both our ceremony and reception and the venue accommodated both perfectly. I would recommend 2016 Main to any couple looking for a space for their wedding!

We booked the space for both our ceremony and reception and the venue accommodated both perfectly. I would recommend 2016 Main to any couple looking for a space for their wedding!

We could not be happier with our experience hosting our wedding at 2016 Main! The venue space and art is unique and the location in the crossroads is fantastic. The new owner, Nico, has made positive improvements to the space and the venue offerings over the last year. He was very easy to work with and responsive to our questions up until the last minute. Being able to host our ceremony there and have our reception go past midnight were two big perks.

I couldn't be more happy with the team at 2016 Main. Pat was wonderful to work with from the moment my now husband and I stepped inside for our first tour to the end of our wedding night. He kept things simple and put me at ease with his professionalism and knowledge of the wedding industry here in KC. His wife, Jodi, did our photography and was so great to work with as well. I got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was during our wedding! 2016 Main is the place to get married if you're looking for a venue in downtown KC. Great location, great space, and GREAT staff. I wish we could do it all over again because it went by too fast!!

They were quick with responses to my questions and had no problem with me coming to the venue multiple times before our event to check things out and go over questions. Our rehearsal at the church ended sooned than anticipated so I called Pat to see if we could start our event earlier than planned. He accomodated us even though it would definitely have been understandable if they couldn't. Don't miss this gem!

2016 Main was the perfect venue for our wedding ceremony and reception in Nov. 2022. Pat and Jodi, the venue owners, were an absolute pleasure to work with from the beginning, and my husband-to-be and I felt an instant connection with them. We used Elite Sounds for the DJ, by Pat's recommendation, and they were also an amazing choice, who knew the venue well, and the sound system was great for isolating the music when need-be on the dance floor so that others in the other part of the venue could hear better. Pat provided great recommendations as we planned for the day, including how to set up the tables (squares vs. rounds), tablecloths, wine/beer selections, where to set up the food/buffet, parking, etc. He knows his venue, and it was great to have someone we could trust. We were able to get in at 10:30 a.m. in the morning, and were out before midnight, and the day was a breeze because of all of our coordination. Pat was responsive, easy to work with and available on the day, and utterly kind throughout the process. We even had a mishap with one of our floating vases on the floor after the ceremony (someone tripped and it broke and spilled!) and he caused no major fuss and he and his team cleaned it right up.The venue itself is also stunning – from the greenery wall, to the brick walls that can be customized with artwork of your own to the white 3D wall perfect for photo-ops – and Pat was amenable to all of our ideas as we were developing our \"aesthetic.\"We couldn't have found a more perfect venue.

We had the MOST blissful wedding day at 2016 Main. Pat and Jodi are so incredible to work with and they truly made our day feel so special. From giving us suggestions for setup/transition/logistics, to accommodating any special request we had, to sharing in our happiness on our big day, we couldn't have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate. They were also extremely flexible with allowing us to drop things off the day before and were kind enough to hold on to things for us even days after the event. Many of our guests complimented us on the beauty of the space and the friendliness of Pat and the bar staff. Pat & Jodi aside, the area outside the venue have some great views of downtown & the Western Auto sign, a KC landmark. I wish we could relieve it all over again - I wouldn't change a thing! Thank you Pat & Jodi!!

2016 Main was the perfect venue for our dinner rehearsal! Pat and Jodi were AMAZING, and so helpful the whole way through! The venue itself is stunning, warm, and elegant. We were able to turn the space into our vision with the help of Pat and Jodi and we truly couldn't have been happier. They were so flexible with schedule and accommodating us, helpful with decor, and walked around the entire night complimenting us as as couple, and offering their help. They are such gems! We couldn't recommend 2016 more, and hope to use the venue again in the future!

2016 Main Event Space was a true dream for our wedding reception!We did things a little different than the traditional reception and decided to do more of a cocktail party which entailed passed apps when guests arrived, then food stations for several dinner options and we had plenty of cocktail tables along with a hand full of large round tables. We also had 3 different areas of soft seating which the venue already had and just arranged around the room so guest could enjoy comfortable seating during the party. The dance floor was right in the middle of it all which was so much fun!Our guests still haven’t stopped talking about the beautiful event space and the art gallery which was such a unique aspect of the space.Pat was amazing to work with and truly brought our vision to life while making the process extremely smooth and stress free. Not only this, but if you need a photographer then Jodi Vander Woude also runs her photography studio out of the space so booking both of them for our wedding weekend was the smartest thing we did because the weekend went so smoothly and having both of them working as a team really made things easy on all of us!The weekend was perfect and we couldn’t suggest a better location if you’re looking for a event space!

Pat and Jodie were so great to work with! They were very friendly yet very professional! They were flexible and very accommodating. Everything happened so seamlessly. We used their photo booth, which was lots of fun. The bartenders were very efficient and I never noticed lines for drinks. Their gallery is absolutely beautiful and the artwork coordinated really well with our color schemes. We even had a double rainbow that evening. Not sure how they managed that!😄 I would give them 10 stars if that were an option!

Where to begin. Planning a wedding during a pandemic is hard but having Omicron hit 2 weeks before your big day COULD have been even worse if you werent partnering with Pat. Incredibly responsive, helpful and professional with a Type A bride was his strong suit. Throughout the process, Pat was available every time we flew in town for venue visits, vendor meetings and just to chat. We had our ceremony, reception AND day after brunch there and everything was flawlessly executed. It was rare there was something we threw at him that he couldn’t do or make work. If you’re reading this review and are looking for: a more industrial look with an artsy feel + string lights, super easy and down to earth owners and the perfectly priced venue where you actually get what you pay for, look no further. 2016 Main was the best decision we made for our wedding. I can’t wait to plan my next big event so I can use this venue again ❤️

First, the space itself was fantastic and exactly what we were looking for (my then fiance literally teared up when we saw it for the first time). Perfect if you don't want to invest a ton in decorating a blank slate because it's perfect as is. More importantly, however, working with Pat was an absolute pleasure. He knows his space like the back of his hand, is incredibly responsive, and just an awesome, fair, and down-to-earth guy. We genuinely consider him a friend now! Bonuses: right off the streetcar, great location in Crossroads, free parking, dog portrait wall.

We had our son's wedding reception at The 2016 Event Space in January, 2022. Pat and Jodi made the experience great from beginning to end. Pat was excellent to work with while we were in the planning phase with helpful suggestions, and was very accommodating of our requests. The space was very clean and well laid out the evening of the reception. The reception went off without any issues, and everyone had a great time. Pat and Jodi were there and available the entire evening.The staff interacted exceptionally well with the band, caterer, and our guests. We received many compliments from our guests about the venue and the service. We were happy with our selection of 2016 Main, and even more pleased with the way Pat and Jodi took care of everything before, during, and after the reception. We would definitely use 2016 Main again, and would recommend it to anyone looking for an event space.

The bartenders and service was excellent, nobody had to wait for cocktails. Pat was very accommodating and very easy to work with. He was very flexible with meeting times and had great advice to help make the event run smooth. We would 100% use this space a gain! My daughter was getting married and my husband, soon to be groom and I all started looking at venues. The bride wanted something chic and and beautiful. This venue didn't disappoint. The brick walls and high ceilings are just beautiful. The venue is well kept and I loved the lay out. We had a dance floor, sitting/dinning area and food serving area that they each had their own special nook but still open to each other. Pat the owner was super easy to work with. Met us with the caterer a week early for some last minute details. The venue was open early the day of and Scott the bartender was simply amazing. We need up tipping Scott extra at the end because he was going above and beyond. It was important to us that break down didn't happen until the end and Pat listen to us and made sure that the party continued until our agreed upon time Pat and Scott worked as a team at the end of the night and even asked if we needed help bringing item to the car. We forgot a few items and Pat was easy to get a hold of and he met us at the venue the next day. I would highly recommend this venue, bartender and owner. This comes from someone that had high expectations and they were met.

My daughter was getting married and my husband, soon to be groom and I all started looking at venues. The bride wanted something chic and and beautiful. This venue didn't disappoint. The brick walls and high ceilings are just beautiful. The venue is well kept and I loved the lay out. We had a dance floor, sitting/dinning area and food serving area that they each had their own special nook but still open to each other. Pat the owner was super easy to work with. Met us with the caterer a week early for some last minute details. The venue was open early the day of and Scott the bartender was simply amazing. We need up tipping Scott extra at the end because he was going above and beyond. It was important to us that break down didn't happen until the end and Pat listen to us and made sure that the party continued until our agreed upon time Pat and Scott worked as a team at the end of the night and even asked if we needed help bringing item to the car. We forgot a few items and Pat was easy to get a hold of and he met us at the venue the next day. I would highly recommend this venue, bartender and owner. This comes from someone that had high expectations and they were met.

You can stop looking for a venue - 2016 Main is IT!! When we first walked in to this space, I knew right away that I wanted to get married there! It is STUNNING. Exposed brick, hardwood floors, greenery wall, gorgeous decorative white wall, artwork...you name it, they've got it! You probably didn't realize that you want a collage wall filled with formal dog portraits at your wedding, but I can assure you that YOU DO, and 2016 Main has it! We loved this space for so many reasons, but a big deciding factor was because we didn't have to rent any extras! I'm not exaggerating when I say that all we did was add flowers and votives on the tables, rent some linens, and the space looked fully decorated and GORGEOUS! My pictures are beautiful and so so elegant!The owners, Pat and Jodi, will forever be 2 of my very favorite people. They are SO MUCH FUN! They are laid back and will make you feel relaxed and at ease, while also being extremely attentive, focused on details, and quick to communicate. I sent Pat so many questions and changed so many things, and he was always so great about it and responded right away! Pat also acted as our day-of-coordinator. He contacted all of my vendors and arranged everything. I didn't get peppered with any last minute questions from vendors and everyone showed up on time and had everything we needed! Everyone always says that something will go wrong on your wedding day, but honestly, I can't think of ANYTHING that went wrong, and I know that that is in major part due to all of Pat and Jodi's help and planning both leading up to the big day, as well as their assistance the day of! I can't stop re-living the day and looking at our pictures of the venue. Now that the wedding is over, I'm honestly trying to think up a reason to rent the space all over again just to have an excuse to hang out with Pat and Jodi and be surrounded by so much elegance and beauty again. In case I didn't drive the point home, THIS is the venue you want and THESE are the people you want helping you plan! He then asked for all of our vendor contacts and reached out to each- caterer, florist, bakery, etc. He answered all of their venue questions and directed day-of set-up. This was SO helpful. The entire day was executed flawlessly by the couple. I haven’t even mentioned the venue itself. The space is charming and functional, but the details such as Jodi’s displayed photography truly set it over the top. They were present during our entire reception to ensure our night was everything we could have dreamt. We are so very grateful to Patrick and Jodi, their remarkable venue and to our continued friendship with them.

The space was perfect for the ceremony and reception. He was readily available to answer any and all questions we had leading up to the wedding. The day of the wedding was perfect! Everything looked even better than we imagined and we were all so relaxed through the entire event. Pat even commented on our daughter's chill attitude in the beautiful brides room. I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone looking for a wonderful space. We have had so many calls and comments about what a perfect space and FUN wedding it was for all! Where do I even BEGIN! Patrick was (is) such a pleasure to work with. From the start, he communicated so quickly and in such detail. He answered all of my questions and always went above and beyond with any of my requests (for example, I asked if he had a mic and he said \"not currently but I will try my best to get it for your event\"... well, he sure did! He made sure everything with the mic was set up and worked flawlessly.He would always communicate his availability to come see the venue, stayed on top of me to make sure I schedule a time to come out and do a walk thru of how things will be laid out (basically rehearsing how things will go).HE HAS PARKING! This is a big deal to me because I never ever want guests at my event, inconvenienced and you know how the city can get (especially downtown), parking can really suck sometimes.Overall I can go on and on. The venue is so adorable, everything about it is unique. Patrick is a delight (really personable and caring), and he was there the night of my event to ensure everything played out just as it was in my vision.I couldn't be happier. 1000/10.

After changing our plans once, to completely postponing everything due to COVID, Pat was there every step of the way to make sure we could have the perfect wedding - and we did! Not to mention, my now husband and I moved across the country while planning this wedding, but Pat made it very easy to make phone call appointments and send us any info we asked for. We used his wife, Jodi, as our photographer and she also did a FANTATIC job! Our friends and families gave us so many compliments on the venue, the friendliness of the staff, and how awesome it was to work with Jodi and her assistant photographer, Tessa, while taking photos. 10/10 recommend using this venue and photography for any event. We would give 2016 Main 100 stars if we could. The space itself is stunning and has so many different vibes: from the white squares wall to the brick to the greenery wall, there are a variety of backdrops for photos or different vendors. We loved the elegant yet urban feel. Bar service was so quick and all of our guests loved their drinks. They made the room flip from ceremony to the reception a breeze. We loved picking out artwork from their collection to hang as extra decor on the walls too. The location is perfect with easy access to hotels right across the street, ample parking in back, and streetcar access. But most of all, the owner (Pat) was absolutely incredible working with us on changes due to covid-19. From scaling down our wedding size to adjusting the timeframe the week of our wedding due to new city restrictions, he made everything so easy despite all-time high stress levels. He made sure we still had the wedding of our dreams despite all the changes announced by the city mere days before our event. The day-of coordinator made sure everything flowed perfectly, from lighting a million candles on the tables to queuing the bridal party processional. We truly have zero complaints or regrets about 2016 Main. In fact, we originally wanted a different month for our wedding date, but ended up picking our wedding date based on 2016 Main’s availability after falling in love with the space on a tour. Little did we know that would be the best decision we made in wedding planning. We 110% recommend this venue!

From the moment I walked in to 2016 and met Pat, and his wife Jodi, I knew that this was the space for me. I was able to picture what I thought my wedding would look like, how it would feel and this was largely in part due to Pat. I'm from the KC area, but live in Austin, TX so I knew that I was going to have my hands full planning a remote wedding, but Pat assured me he was there to help however he could; and he did. Any question I had be it around vendors, seating charts, or the flow of the day, he gave honest, thoughtful opinions that helped shaped the day into something special. When COVID hit, Pat reached out to not only give us updates as to how things in KC were going (since we weren't there to follow), he continued to assure me that nothing would deviate from what I was imagining. Pat and Jodi made sure our day was exactly what I wanted but didn't know. They welcomed our idea of bringing in paintings by my husband's late grandfather and found ways to beautifully incorporate them into the space so they were part of awe that we had.If you're looking for a venue that feels like magic, is elegant and charming, and has people there who genuinely care about how you and your family are, I cannot recommend 2016 Main enough. If you want to throw the wedding that all of your friends afterwards say \"that's the best wedding I've ever been to\" then this is your place. And if you want to be around some of the most amazing people then look no further. Pat and Jodi are fantastic, and I'm so happy that I got to know them through this.

Any question I had be it around vendors, seating charts, or the flow of the day, he gave honest, thoughtful opinions that helped shaped the day into something special. When COVID hit, Pat reached out to not only give us updates as to how things in KC were going (since we weren't there to follow), he continued to assure me that nothing would deviate from what I was imagining. Pat and Jodi made sure our day was exactly what I wanted but didn't know. They welcomed our idea of bringing in paintings by my husband's late grandfather and found ways to beautifully incorporate them into the space so they were part of awe that we had.If you're looking for a venue that feels like magic, is elegant and charming, and has people there who genuinely care about how you and your family are, I cannot recommend 2016 Main enough. If you want to throw the wedding that all of your friends afterwards say \"that's the best wedding I've ever been to\" then this is your place. And if you want to be around some of the most amazing people then look no further. Pat and Jodi are fantastic, and I'm so happy that I got to know them through this.

This venue and the owners are everything that you could want in a wedding venue. We had to reschedule our Jamaican wedding and plan a Kansas City wedding in about 6 months. Pat and his wife Jodi gave us recommended vendors.. and let me just say.. not a single one failed to deliver. They were all fantastic, and we couldn't have found more perfect fits for the venue (vendor wise). So take their advice! They were professional, but also warm, inviting, and friendly. And can I say cool? Like you'll want to be friends with them. Ha!They were able to adjust to our needs and made everything so easy for us. For a stressed-out bride.. I'd prescribe Pat and Jodi, and all at 2016 Main Event Space & Art Gallery as your right-hand crew. You will get exactly what you want, and exactly what you paid for.Just to give you an example.. for our bar package we wanted a signature drink requiring raspberry tea. Well.. pat couldn't find any raspberry tea at the store, so he BREWED HIS OWN with fresh iced tea and raspberries! OK, no one gives this kind of customer service anymore. Just an example of the extra mile that they will go for you.And as a last note- if you want a contemporary, quirky, modern, yet classic and antique feel for a venue.. this is it. Look no further! All elements are there for a perfect Ceremony and Reception space.

We wanted their beautiful doggos at the ceremony and they made it happen. They were easy to get ahold of and they worked with us throughout the whole planning period. Pat and Jodi are sweet, thoughtful, helpful, and made everything go exactly as we had hoped. The venue is absolutely gorgeous - to the point that you don’t need to buy a ton of decorations to dress it up (#savethatmoney). It’s in a great location with lodging, food, and tourist attractions nearby for out-of-town guests. It’s on the streetcar loop so transportation is easy. What more could you possibly want?!?! Save yourself the headache and stop searching. This is the perfect venue!

I cannot imagine having our wedding any place else. This was the first venue we looked at, and I canceled all our other venue appointments immediately after. We booked 2016 Main right away. Aside from being a truly beautiful, eclectic, unique, not to mention FUNCTIONAL space, that has been built and decorated with heart and soul that you can truly feel when being in the space, the owners are what won us over. Literally anything I needed they were able to provide me with. Pat, and his wife Jodi, truly went above and beyond making sure to do anything in their power that would decrease stress on our end. This didn't just include the day of, where Pat took care of and communicated with all my vendors - I didn't even have to blink an eye - but leading up to our wedding as well. I changed my mind on multiple things not long before our wedding, some last minute items included, one of which being what shape tables I wanted to use. They were beyond accommodating.On the day of, not all of my linens arrived. Pat completely took care of it and was in full communication with that vendor, I didn't have to do a thing. When we showed up to the reception, everything was exactly as I had been imagining it in my head for months, and it is ALL thanks to Pat and Jodi. I cannot recommend them, or their space more.

My experience with this venue and it’s owners was awful. Pat, the owner of the venue, was the only problem we had all night and the only reason I do not recommend 2016 Main. The customer service received by him far outweighed any beauty the venue brought to the table. The amount of stress and overall bad vibes he added to our day was completely uncalled for considering the amount of money we spent for the venue. If you do choose 2016 Main for your wedding day, I highly suggest that you request Scott as your day of contact/help in the venue. Had it not been for him stepping in for Pat and saving the day, our wedding could have been a disaster. From the start of the day, Pat walked into the venue angry and spread bad vibes to everyone in his presence. I personally witnessed Pat being very disrespectful and rude to our family who was there setting up. He barged into the girls bridal suite without knocking – a place where the bridesmaids were getting dressed and ready and someone could have very easily been naked. When my Dad finally pulled him aside to confront him on the way he was acting, I personally heard that he was ONLY concerned that we would now be leaving bad reviews for him. Eventually my mother in law had to ask him to leave the venue because he was putting a huge damper on the entire day. This is where Scott came in and was everything we needed him to be. During the actual wedding, I personally witnessed myself and was also told by several guests that they saw Pat sticking his fingers into our buffet and eating food – thinking no one was looking. At the end of the night, all of our desserts suspiciously ended up in the trash. No one from my family of myself did this, we actually set them assigned in a designated area to take home. Considering the night was so busy, we didn’t get to actually eat any of the desserts so this was super disappointing to us. Our contract was to have the venue until 1130, yet Pat started cleaning up and taking down decorations to the venue at least an hour and a half before that while guests were still there having a good time. Its really unfortunate that things went down the way they did. Its unfortunate that the service and friendliness did not follow us on the most important day of them all. I hope Pat learns from his mistakes from our wedding and does not make another couple go thru the day like we did. They may have experience with hundreds of weddings, but don’t allow them to treat you like you’re just another number. There are way too many options in Kansas City to settle, so don’t with this one. Pat is only concerned with getting a good review, there is no genuineness behind his actions.

My experience with this venue and it’s owners was awful. Pat, the owner of the venue, was the only problem we had all night and the only reason I do not recommend 2016 Main. The customer service received by him far outweighed any beauty the venue brought to the table. If you do choose 2016 Main for your wedding day, I highly suggest that you request Scott as your day of contact/help in the venue. 2016 Main was the best decision I made for our wedding! Pat and Jodi are a dream to work with; even my guests commented on how great they were at the wedding and how hard they were working alongside their staff. The space is beautiful with so many unique touches. I still can't get over how many compliments we received by guests who were saying it's the coolest space they have ever been for a wedding! The location is amazing as well. We had a lot of guests traveling in from out of town and there are many hotels within walking distance, along with plenty of bars and restaurants, which makes it convenient for everyone. I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else. I highly highly recommend using 2016 main for your event!!!

The location was perfect for us with about half our guests from out of town there’s a hotel across the street and you are right on the streetcar. Beyond all of that Jodi and Pat are irreplaceable. They immediately treat you like they’ve known you forever and are helpful throughout the entire process. They respond in a timely manner and are very flexible. On the day of they stepped in wherever things were needed, Pat even held my veil before I went down the aisle. You won’t find such a beautiful venue or owners like this anywhere else. Pat allowed us to bring anything we needed the day before to alleviate some stress on the day of and he contacted all of our vendors to schedule when they would be arriving to set up and prepare for our wedding. However, the best part about the space is you do not have to do ANYTHING, the space speaks for itself. We did white linens and one simple plant on each table and that was it. No need to spend money on decorating the space or creating centerpieces that no one remembers. The bartenders were so nice and friendly, they were there to help us have a great time! 2016 Main had perfect for our wedding!

I found the owners to be incredibly unprofessional. Pat and Jodi were late to almost every meeting - once I was waiting for 45 minutes. We found Pat to be very curt and on my wedding day he ignored a request from my bridesmaid as he gave a tour to prospective clients. When my wedding coordinator pointed this out to him, he later came in to the bridal suite while our hair and makeup was being done to confront me about the complaint. Instead of apologizing for ignoring my bridesmaid, he stood over me while I was sitting in my robe and said \"so I heard I was being a d***.\" I was incredibly uncomfortable and caught off guard. After we all said we didn't know what he was talking about, he shrugged it off and walked away. All of the ladies doing the hair and makeup agreed that he was being very aggressive and unprofessional. Again, absolutely beautiful venue, but I'm not sure that makes up for how unprofessional Pat was.

They offer great suggestions, respond to questions and concerns in a timely manner, and will pour all their time and energy into working behind the scenes the day of to ensure things are running smoothly. Not only are Pat & Jodi extremely professional, but they are also so much fun. My wedding party and family couldn't stop saying how great they were. Choosing 2016 Main as our wedding venue was the best decision we could've made! (Also: hire Jodi as your photographer, you won't be disappointed).

Pat and Jodi are so chill and try to make everything as stress free and easy for you as they can. I was planning my KC wedding from St. Louis while in grad school and they went above and beyond to accommodate us when I was in town. Pat even took my call while on vacation in Hawaii! We had about 200 guests and they fit just fine without having to pull tables to accommodate the dance floor. The space has so much character, so very minimal decor is needed. We did run out of alcohol toward the end of the event but we had quite a big group of party people and Pat said that had never happened before. oops! Needless to say, we had a lot of fun and we will be back to hang out during first Fridays!

I just wanted to add that not only are Pat and Jodi easy to work with, but the space is already so pretty that it doesn't take a lot of extra decorating to make it wedding perfect. The room looked beautiful. OH - one more thing - I was a little concerned about parking but it was not a problem.

I had so many people tell me the space we had both the ceremony and reception was gorgeous! The greenery wall was a beautiful backdrop for the ceremony and the lovely dark wood floors made a great dance floor. Our wedding was in March 2018 and was the first full event to be using their updated space! The addition with the super cool white textured wall was a great spot for food during cocktail hour but it was mostly everyone's favorite for pictures afterwards. The new bridal suite was great for getting ready; it was cozy, had plenty of space, and like the rest of the event space has the best style. The fact that the space is an art gallery gives every wedding that happens there their own unique touch. But above all else, Pat and Jodi were the greatest! They were there for anything we needed and were quick to answer any email questions I sent their way. They're amazing people and helped me multiple times in the wedding planning process when I was feeling confused or overwhelmed. I can't say enough about how 2016 Main helped make our special day the best it could be!

The absolute best decision we made while wedding planning was choosing 2016 Main as our venue. We loved the space the moment we entered it and it was the perfect backdrop for our big day. We received countless compliments from our friends and family on how unique and beautiful 2016 Main is. The physical space sells itself, but the most special part of our booking with 2016 Main was the top-notch, personalized service we received from Pat and Jodi (our photographer). Pat and Jodi made us feel like family from the beginning. Pat responded to all of my questions quickly through the wedding planning process. He stepped in on the day of the wedding to fix many issues when our caterer dropped the ball several times. He was constantly present during the ceremony and reception to check in on us. He's a true professional and goes above and beyond for his brides and grooms. My husband and I could not have imagined a more perfect wedding day and that is due largely in part to Pat, Jodi, and 2016 Main. I didn’t step foot in the space until a couple months after we booked it, but I was awed by the beauty of it- the brick, art on the walls, the bar, the feel, the light. I just knew we were in the right place. Pat and Jodi were the biggest help to us throughout our planning giving open and honest feedback and suggestions. All emails were responded to promptly. They were very willing to meet with me any time I was in town even if we had to squeeze it in. They really do go above and beyond! The day before our wedding they were painting pillars because they were dirty from the week before. They treated us as if we were their family. When our caterers fumbled and didn't have enough help, Pat and Jodi jumped in to assist, busing tables, refilling water glasses, and at one point, were even flipping french toast in the kitchen! The magical part, is that we didn't discover there were ANY issues until the next day! Such a great value for the service, and incredible space. We could not be happier, or more grateful for this wonderful venue. Our day would not have been the same without them!

The magical part, is that we didn't discover there were ANY issues until the next day! Such a great value for the service, and incredible space. We could not be happier, or more grateful for this wonderful venue. Our day would not have been the same without them!

My husband and I toured numerous venues in KC, each of us, strongly opinionated-could not picture ourselves getting married there.... That was until we toured 2016 Main. It was a breath of fresh air. Pat and Jodi were extremely personable, professional, and so easy to work with. Pat met with us (and numerous family members) a few times prior to our wedding to make sure we were comfortable and all of our questions were answered. He treated us like we were friends, truly wanting to get to know us- not just another customer. Our wedding was 6/3/17 and it was absolutely everything that we had wanted for our day and more. The venue was absolutely beautiful and perfect for our upbeat and unique wedding ceremony and reception. We were blown away with the venue, Pat, and the night itself. When they say #thepartyishere- it is SO TRUE! Thank you Pat and Jodi for such a wonderful experience- we had the time of our lives and I can't thank you enough!

We had our wedding ceremony and reception at 2016 Main Event space. Pat and Jodi, the owners, were amazing every step of the way. They listened to our plans for the wedding and helped customize our vision to reality. Pat and Jodi have such positive, caring personalities.The venue is so beautiful with an incredible sound system. We did not feel the need to bring any more decorations to the space except for simple table vases with flowers. The bartenders were excellent and very sweet to me!Our guests only had nice comments regarding this event space and the staff. We are so happy we chose 2016 Main Event and would recommend this venue to anyone!!!

Sadly I did not have the best of experiences firsthand with this particular venue. I had scheduled a walk thru and even confirmed the meeting but no one was ever there to meet me or answer any calls inquiring on what the problem may be and unfortunately did not hear anything back until 5 days later. I was looking forward to seeing the place to possibly book with them but have been left still searching.***Update: The owner reached out to graciously remedy the problem and the effort has been noted and greatly appreciated. My mother had a good initial interaction with the owner and his wife prior to when I was hoping to meet them which is to be considered and after emails back and forth recently I do believe they will do what is necessary to help a bride in need or in stress. My review is speaking of what is currently happening and I hope to continue improving my review of this particular vendor in my continued talks with them.***

My husband and I had our ceremony and reception here in December of 2016 and we could not have dreamed of a more incredible event space/staff! Pat and Jodi were absolutely incredible from the moment we met them to the clean up on the day after our wedding. They were so accommodating and complimentary to us as well as our guests. Pat really takes the initiative to communicate with vendors in order to make sure your wedding day runs smoothly. I was absolutely floored when I entered the event space on the morning of my wedding to see that so much was already done! Not only are Pat and Jodi (as well as their staff) absolutely amazing, but their event space is breathtaking. Their space is the perfect combination of the classic, eclectic Crossroads feel while being so elegant all at the same time. Things are constantly being changed and updated to keep their space fresh and interesting. It really is all about the details -which is probably why the bar and bridal suite were my favorite elements. If you are on the fence about this space, don't be! Pat and Jodi are so down to earth and they will take care of you in every way.
