Historic brick warehouse along the river
Tucked along the Lackawaxen River in downtown Honesdale PA, a historic brick warehouse has been restored to its original elegance. Eighteen, six-foot windows overlook the river and allow light to flood in the cathedral ceiling 4200 square foot space. 6th & River combines modern, industrial design with a barn-like feeling inside the exposed brick walls. An upstairs mezzanine houses a lounge and spacious bridal suite. Additional rooms are available on the same floor for ceremony, cocktail lounge, or any creative combination. Katharine and her team work with couples to make for a seamless, unique and gorgeous event. Blocks away are area restaurants, breweries, boutique hotel and shops. A one-stop shop for your beautiful celebration!

Our reception at 6th & River was nothing short of a dream come true. The room was spacious, clean, and beautiful - a simple and elegant backdrop for a spring wedding. The space is so amazing because although we were on a pretty tight budget and kept our decor and vibe understated, you could decorate the space however you wanted to. It stands alone and is beautiful, or it’s adorned with lavish decor and is still beautiful. It’s everything you need it to be… and it WAS everything we needed and wanted. My bridesmaids and I got ready in the upstairs bridal suite loft and had such a blast doing so! It was the perfect space to get ready. My compliments go entirely to Laura Impastato who was the sole person we were in contact with during the entire planning process. We booked in Feb. 2022 and our wedding was in June 2023. In that timespan, we shared an email thread with 50+ exchanges back and forth. Laura answered every single question we had, even ones I thought were silly. She was calm, assured, understanding, flexible, and incredibly professional. When I met with her a few weeks before our wedding, we went over every final detail you could imagine and she helped me stay organized and directed me to the right people to contact. I made a lot of my own decor and had expressed to her that I was nervous about the space not looking decorated enough. By the time I walked into the reception hall in its fully-decorated form, I almost cried. She made the room so beautiful. My husband and I owe all our thanks to you, Laura! Book 6th & River for your wedding. You’ll be enchanted!

We had our wedding reception at 6th & River on Saturday, 7/15. 6th & River is such a timeless, charming and perfect space for any type of event. We were lucky enough to work alongside Katharine, Laura, and many other members of their team. They were so kind and made sure everything was perfect. They made sure everything was up to par and were wonderful to work with and communicate with throughout the planning process.Thank you again for being such an important part of our wedding weekend! 6th & River will always have a special place in our heart and we cannot wait to come back!

We had our wedding reception at 6th & River on Saturday, 7/15. 6th & River is such a timeless, charming and perfect space for any type of event. We were lucky enough to work alongside Katharine, Laura, and many other members of their team. They were so kind and made sure everything was perfect. They made sure everything was up to par and were wonderful to work with and communicate with throughout the planning process.Thank you again for being such an important part of our wedding weekend! 6th & River will always have a special place in our heart and we cannot wait to come back!

I can't say enough good things about 6th & River. We held our wedding reception there after a ceremony at Fox Hill Farm (also amazing). The day went incredibly smooth thanks in large part to Laura and Katherine who work together and make the best team. They brought our entire vision to life with the help of other local businesses. The venue is spacious and beautiful. The entrance of the big beautiful brick building leads you upstairs (or elevator) to the space. There are windows along an entire two walls giving you the best view and lighting. They accommodate any set up you can imagine, making each event unique and special. There is an onsite bridal loft with fun eclectic decor and beautifully lit for getting ready. We loved the huge sliding doors from the small space into the main space for our grand entrance. We were very detailed and specific with our vision and plans for the day and Laura truly out did herself making sure every detail and moment was perfect. All in all this venue is gorgeous, the staff is amazing but most importantly I loved the freedom and creativity we were able to have to make our wedding feel unlike anyone else's. I would recommend this venue 100%.

My fiancé and I had an awesome time at the “bridal bash” this weekend at 6th and river. The staff was super friendly and very attentive! We loved that they hosted an event with a bunch of different vendors there, which made things very easy to sort out between my fiancé and I. The actual venue space is very open and inviting as well as the staff, the event was very busy but felt that all of our questions or concerns were handled with grace and composure. Standing in a busy room, the manager laura made us feel as though we were in a personal wedding inquiry. We are very much looking forward to booking with this venue!

I have been in love with the 6th & River venue ever since I saw it. I am so happy I was able to hold my bridal shower here. Laura and her team were amazing! Through the process, Laura went above and beyond to even send me a checklist for my bridesmaids. She was so attentive and responsive to all of my emails and concerns. Since being a bride was new territory I had quite a few silly questions. She made me feel like my feelings were valid and eased my mind of all concerns. The day was absolutely beautiful and the entire 6th & River team did an excellent job with everything!

Once we saw this building, we were blown away. It is a renovated industrial warehouse with floor to ceiling brick walls, gorgeous windows around the entire room, vaulted ceilings with modern chandeliers. The room doesn’t take much to look beautiful; we loved the character and simplicity of it. And SO much room for everything we wanted. We utilized the connected space for cocktail hour and the bigger space for our ceremony/reception. The bridal suite is GORGEOUS with plenty of room to get ready with my girls. It is also located in the cutest downtown area with TONS of photo opportunities like this cool bridge right outside, a train down the street and park close by! So many Air BNBs are around the downtown area! We all stayed at Ledges Hotel which is beautiful hotel and breathtaking views of waterfalls right outside. Katharine, the owner of this venue, is so down to earth, easy going and has a great energy about her. It was such a pleasure working with her and her staff. She was so kind to me and my family. I didn’t feel like just a number to her, she truly cared about how my wedding was going to unfold. Katharine is super responsive which was one of my top priorities when looking for a venue. We were able to have our dog with us the entire night which was a dream!! She also is an incredible florist and did a beautiful job on all of our flowers!! The building also has Rustic Charm Vintage Rentals which was SO convenient to have this all in the same area. Katharine and her staff went ABOVE AND BEYOND, no detail went unnoticed. She was flexible and accommodating throughout the entire process. 6th & River is a hidden gem, I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

Are you looking for a gorgeous, industrial, warehouse space to host your big day? This is your venue. The team: Katherine and her team at 6th & River are amazing. They do everything in their power to make your day perfect. They are quick to respond via email, text, call. They are very flexible in room set up and design. They are super hands on, even during your event. What I loved most about the team? They make you feel special and that you are not just another number to them. They go above and beyond and I am so grateful!The venue: This venue has so much character. There is stunning exposed brick throughout along with exposed beams, and a stunning wood barn door separating the large reception area and an optional smaller room to rent. There is a loft for the wedding party to get ready in, or use the space as a lounge during the wedding. There is a full industrial kitchen to rent downstairs for caterers. Additionally, you can rent another room through Rustic Charm to use as a cocktail hour. Outside they have a great bridge over the river to take photos. My husband and I did our first look there and it was magical. The best part about this venue is how many options one has. You must bring in all your own vendors (caterer, photographer, rentals, bartenders etc), which provides a ton of flexibility. Katherine also has Fox Hill Farms which does stunning floral arrangements!The value: Super affordable! With so many options and so much flexibility, it's easy to create an affordable, yet upscale wedding.Things to note: There are not many large hotels in Honesdale, Pa or the area. But don't let this stop you! We rented buses to transport our guests to Scranton. OR you can look to rent Ledges Hotel in Hawley, PA or rent houses on Lake Wallenpaupack. There are many options!In conclusion, if I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't do it any differently. The team, and the venue, made my industrial chic wedding dreams come true!
