Located just 15 minutes south of Kansas City, 8th & Main Event Space is an intimate venue adorned with unique characteristics. The space is ideal for your dream wedding with lots of options and customizations. Our "Bank-Vault" room, the romantic outdoor courtyard, two Bridal Suites, a large Groom's Room and big Reception Hall give you lots to work with. The building was a historic bank and one of the Bridal Suites is tucked in the original vault. 8th & Main Venue was designed with your romantic night in mind. 4,300 square feet, 8th & Main is the perfect fit for ceremonies and receptions of 200 or less. We loved having our wedding at 8th and Main! The space was gorgeous. The staff (courtney and her assistant) were very timely and professional and helpful. We loved the aesthetics of the venue and all that was included! Our outdoor patio wedding ceremony was perfect for us. We would recommend the venue to anyone!!

We had our wedding last month at 8th and Main. We LOVED the atmosphere when we toured the venue and had to book! Our wedding ceremony was outside and the reception was inside. We were able to use the whole space. We had enough space for all our guest. Our guest loved the venue too. Guest were able to hangout inside and outside. The venue had an outdoor game for us to use. Courtney was great to work with. She was easy to communicate with. The staff that work during our wedding flipped the ceremony and reception quickly. They made the day go smoothly.

We just had our wedding at this venue and it was so perfect. We held our ceremony outside in the gorgeous courtyard area and had our reception in the ballroom. Both spaces were everything we could have asked for and more. It's got a great urban vibe including white brick walls, Edison lights, and a lovely outdoor firepit. The venue was perfect for our wedding! There were about 90 people for the wedding and that was a great amount for the venue. We used the outdoor portion for the ceremony which they then flipped for the reception and let us use their cornhole where a lot of people all gathered to play or hangout by the fire all while still being able to listen to the music. The vault room is beautiful and then the Edison lights hanging from the ceiling over the dance floor is stunning. I had MULTIPLE people talk about how the venue was absolutely perfect after the wedding. Courtney was super helpful and had amazing communication!

We just had our wedding here on 9/03/22 and it was amazing. The venue is GORGEOUS and the staff were great. Courtney, the venue manager is very good with communication and answering questions quickly. The day of the wedding we had Emily and Nicole on site. They were very helpful with setting the tables/chairs up as well as helping out with the catering coordination. They helped us along with several steps throughout the day! I would absolutely recommend this venue for your wedding. It is very unique, especially the bank vault!

10/10 would recommend! 8th & Main was the perfect venue for us and we received so many compliments from our guests! If you're looking for an urban-feel but don't want to deal with the prices and hassles of downtown KC, this is your venue. They were so great to work with leading up to the wedding and our day ran so smoothly. I took away a star ONLY because they added the beautiful wallpaper wall between when we booked and our wedding, so that was a surprise we had to adjust to. It still turned out perfect and actually added to the whole aesthetic. Just a little heads up for a stressed out bride would have been helpful ;)

8th and Main was a beautiful venue and Taylor the venue manager was so helpful throughout the entire planning process always answering her phone and helping me out! She even showed up the day of and I got to see her right before I walked down the aisle :) Everything went so smoothly and it was very helpful that the bar and D.J. were set up through the venue which made it easier to not have to find so many vendors. The space is able to fit 175 but definitely only holds about 100 comfortably - which was out guest count. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars would be because some of our groomsmen had some rude encounters with the venue employee for the evening.

My husband and I used 8th & Main for our wedding in May 2021 and we couldn’t have been happier. When we first toured the venue I remember saying since it was a little further from Downtown KC than I would’ve liked, it would have to really wow me to book - and they did!! The venue is beautiful with so much character and charm, it needs minimal decor - which is the type of venue I was looking for! Taylor and her team were a dream to work with and made planning and coordination a breeze - she put up with many emails, questions, and more from a very Type A bride planning everything herself from 2 hours away (and she was super responsive). Between our Rehearsal Dinner and Wedding/Reception my husband and I felt so taken care of by Taylor and the rest of the 8th & Main team, we truly felt like the most important people on our wedding day. We loved our wedding at 8th & Main and would redo it all the same if we could. Between their pricing, team, and the venue itself - just book already! :)

My daughter picked this venue because we wanted two separate spaces for the ceremony and reception. I can honestly say 8th and Main was the perfect spot! We had a 127 guests and we filled the space but it was comfortable and the patio was great when you wanted to escape. The staff was awesome to work with. The bartenders and DJ could not have been better. ( they may be recommended vendors but still wonderful). We needed to pick up the decorations on Sunday and they graciously accommodated us. Over all it was a great experience and if you are looking for a smaller site this one was perfect.

The experience from beginning to end at 8th and Main was phenomenal. Every time we went to the venue we were blown away with how stunning it is. We loved that there was not only two large indoor rooms we could use, but also an outdoor area with a firepit and cornhole. Not only was the actual building perfect, but the venue coordinator Taylor was a dream to work with. She answered all my questions and emails very quickly and was kind and professional throughout. My husband and I did a choreographed first dance and Taylor was able to let us come in the week before the wedding to practice the dance in the space, which made dancing at the wedding so much smoother then it would have been. We had multiple other small details that she went above and beyond to ensure were got answers and provided perfect solutions for every one of them. 8th and Main is a beautiful and intimate venue which was perfect for what my husband and I wanted. Taylor was the cherry on top and we are forever grateful for her and her staff who helped made the day perfect.

This was a dream venue. Everyone was so accommodating and wonderful. Especially, Taylor the venue manager. She volunteered to videotape the ceremony for us and she did a wonderful job. My wife and I had our wedding at the end of May 2021 and we chose 8th & Main in Grandview, MO for both our ceremony and reception. We toured 8th & Main first and only looked at one other venue before we realized we were in love with it. The space is beautiful and intimate but boasts several different spaces to use for different functions throughout the day. Overall, we felt incredibly comfortable in the space. We made use of the vault room for our ceremony, the courtyard for cocktail hour, and the main reception space to party all night long. There is enough décor in the venue already to give it life and atmosphere and we did not have to rent any furniture or fixtures from outside vendors. One of our big considerations when picking our venue was that we wanted the entire day to be at one location. Our reservation got us in the doors at 9am on the day of and we had our rehearsal in the space the day before. Since there was not another wedding that night of the rehearsal, we were also able to drop off everything so we would not have to carry it in the next morning. The venue has an open catering policy if the caterer is insured, as well as their own bar service and a service agreement with Platinum DJ to provide AV services at a reduced cost. The bar was great and venue support for the entire time between deposit and event was phenomenal. Taylor, the venue manager, was a great help and made sure we had everything we needed in the space. I would highly recommend 8th & Main to anyone looking for a premium event space.

Everything was readily available and the price was very affordable. More importantly Taylor, the venue manager was so professional, accommodating and helpful from the first moment we met her. She put us at ease and she tried to help whenever she could. That was a breath of fresh air after visiting so many venues with not so very helpful managers. The reception went even better than I expected and I credit a big part of that to Taylor and to the venue. The night exceeded all of my expectations and I highly recommend this venue!!

We had the perfect wedding at 8th & Main! Luckily the rain held off so we were able to utilize the outdoor space for the ceremony. The reception hall was plenty big enough for our guests, dinner, cake and dancing. 8th & Main put out bean bag toss and cocktail tables outside for the reception and it was a huge hit with an awesome ambiance! We would highly recommend 8th & Main for your wedding venue!

We had the perfect wedding at 8th & Main! Luckily the rain held off so we were able to utilize the outdoor space for the ceremony. The reception hall was plenty big enough for our guests, dinner, cake and dancing. 8th & Main put out bean bag toss and cocktail tables outside for the reception and it was a huge hit with an awesome ambiance! We would highly recommend 8th & Main for your wedding venue!

There is not enough good I can say about 8th & Main. The venue and the staff are AMAZING. From the first moment we toured the venue we fell in love with the different spaces you could use for the wedding ( the vault room, reception hall & outdoor patio) and with the ambiance of the entire place. 8th & Main is so beautifully designed and decorated that you can do as much or as little decorating as you want and it will still be gorgeous. From the white brick walls-to the wood doors- to the BEAUTIFUL bride & groom suites (oh and that fire pit)--every time we visited we loved it more and more. And if that wasn't great enough, Taylor was an absolute dream to work with. She was one of our favorite parts of the wedding. She made planning so easy and was always willing to help. She took measurements for us, worked with our vendors (most who were new to venue & needed extra guidance) and was always so warm and personable. My husband and I were on strict budget and never once did we feel pushed by her or anyone at 8th & Main to go outside our budget; in fact, Taylor was always there to help give us suggestions for some DIY options. However, I will say this: if you have more flexibility in your budget Taylor knows & has worked with AMAZING vendors that she can partner you with (check out their IG for inspiration). Whether your style is simple or lavish, this venue is stunning!Pre-planning was wonderful but our wedding day was PERFECT. We only booked the venue for 8 hours on a Friday afternoon/evening. When we arrived to the venue, it was ready to go (clean, tables set up, etc.). Taylor was there to help keep things moving and once the decorations were set-up, everything was stunning. We had a food truck cater dinner and the patio was the perfect spot for the truck to pull up and have people order. Although the day was a little chilly (it was March in MO, haha) many of our guest enjoyed drinking and chatting by the fire pit or playing cornhole (which the venue provided). Everyone raved about how beautiful the venue was & how much they loved the spaces. Honestly, I cannot think of one negative thing about 8th & Main and their staff. I don't even think I have suggestions on what they could do better. We were so blessed by them and are sooo grateful we found & booked them.

There are so many amazing things to say about 8th and Main, but I'll lead with this: Amazing and Adaptable. From the start of our search, we were looking for something unique and I would say a restored bank (intact with the original vault door) is pretty unique! The website for scheduling a tour is pretty easy, and getting all the correct information is too! We did have three different venue managers who handled our wedding, but that was at no fault to the venue at all! Sometimes people just need to chase their other dreams and I AM HERE FOR IT! At the end, Taylor was THE BEST we could ever ask for and she was so flippin' friendly and was so comfortable to be around (as were the other two, so this venue knows how to pick their staff!!!) However, we had a different unique experience, since we were the FIRST couple in this whole covid explosion to have their wedding rescheduled (Our original date was March 21st, 2020). In no way did we ever see it coming, but the Venue was on top of it and we all worked together so well to figure out how to reschedule. I appreciate that so much because I, at the time, heard horror stories about how some vendors were just cancelling weddings and not even working with the brides to figure something out. 8th and Main did and one of the managers even showed up on my doorstep the morning of the 21st with flowers and gifts... it truly made us feel loved even when the world was literally against us. Fast forward to October 1st, the night before the wedding, and I'm at the venue hoping to decorate and only 2 out of my 8 people showed up (don't worry, they got talked to lol) and I am freaking out because I only scheduled the venue for 2 hours of decoration and I don't have any time to do anything... Taylor, seriously the best person ever, puts down all of her stuff and says \"Where can I help?\" I'm pretty sure she did more that night that the other two and I did altogether! She wanted to make sure everything was perfect for me, even when things were getting crazy. Then, the next day!!! We finally have the ceremony with our friends and family (small but mighty) and everything turned out perfect. The lights were beautiful, the house DJ they support was awesome, and the staff was FREAKING amazing and adaptable to all the craziness my wedding party and family consumed of. I don't honestly know how we would've gotten through the day had it not been for the initiative of everyone who works there. They had done so many things that day that I didn't even think of doing and I'm truly grateful for it. Seriously, check out the space, get to know the staff, you won't regret it at all. Also, they have a fire pit outside and the new bridal suite is to die for.... I think I spent a good majority of my time in there that day because it's such a warm space to be in and even though it's right off of the reception room, I felt like it was its own little island. I also hope you have as great of a time as I did with booking this venue and ultimately getting married here, it's seriously so amazing.

Run, don’t walk to 8th & Main!! This place is truly amazing! There’s so many different options for ceremony locations, inside (vault room) or outside (courtyard). The courtyard is magical! There’s a fire pit that can be lit at night and lights that light the courtyard just perfectly! And not to mention the pergola that you can get married under!! The vault room is so romantic and dreamy! You can’t go wrong with either option. It’s truly perfect for whatever vision you have as a bride and groom. When you book this venue you also get your DJ and bartender. This was a huge deal for me because I didn’t want to add that stress to wedding planning. The DJ, which not to mention you get to pick your DJ out, was able to keep everyone dancing! The bartender served the best drinks and was so good! Checked on the head table to make sure we had our drinks! Then there’s the other staff members! Taylor was amazing through the whole process! I have nothing bad to say about anyone that works there. They respond quickly to emails and answer every possible question! Plus the day off they added another table for me. Which included steaming the linen out! Oh yeah forgot to mention, you can rent linens for just the cleaning fee! You get two bridal suites, not just one! Also an awesome groomsmen suite. Two different styles of tables to use in the reception area, long rectangular ones and round ones. Chairs are also included! Some really awesome high top tables that can go out in the courtyard for the reception area for people to hang out at as well! There’s so many great things about 8th & Main! I highly recommend it, you won’t regret it!

When my daughter got engaged we toured several different venues. We came across 8th and Main and my daughter and her fiancé fell in love with this great venue, especially the vault room. This venue is stunning. Mid-way through the had a management change but the team didn't skip a beat. Helpful, on time and so supportive. No one likes running into hurdles on the way to their big day but the staff made the hurdles disappear before I could even get to them. This venue was only the 2nd that my husband and I had looked at, because upon our tour we knew that it was the spot for us. If you are looking for a more budget friendly, more industrial /vintage vibe, extremely accommodating staff, and a spot to 'wow' your guests- this is for you. Located in downtown Grandview, 8th & Main is a venue with options for both and inside AND outside wedding, plus a reception area to hold at least 150 guests. The \"vault room\" stole our hearts and we got so many compliments from our guests. This venue was only the 2nd that my husband and I had looked at, because upon our tour we knew that it was the spot for us. If you are looking for a more budget friendly, more industrial /vintage vibe, extremely accommodating staff, and a spot to 'wow' your guests- this is for you. Located in downtown Grandview, 8th & Main is a venue with options for both and inside AND outside wedding, plus a reception area to hold at least 150 guests. The \"vault room\" stole our hearts and we got so many compliments from our guests. The venue has their own bar service, and use Platinum KC for DJ- which were absolutely fantastic to work with as well. We hosted a rehearsal dinner in October at this beautiful event space... this was our first time hosting an event of this size and we whole heartedly recommend 8th & Main! Regan, the event space manager, had us to the space and took the time to ask and listen to our ideas for the dinner. It was so reassuring to have a professional know what questions to ask, have resources at her fingertips and be there the night of the event to “run the show”! Regan had designed the floor plan to meet the needs of 85 people, set it up for the dinner, had the servers in place, met with the catering team and had them accommodated, welcomed our friends who came to set up decorations and consequently, the event was perfect! Not one time did we have to think about a detail, we just enjoyed our guests... Regan and her team were wonderful and the space was amazing! 8th & Main is easy to find for your guests, clean, and fresh with an outdoor space and a great design inside to accommodate a buffet, dinner and space to move about! The parking is so convenient for the guests and the beautiful handcrafted tables give the space a personal, unique touch... this is not your average event space- 8th & Main is a step above!

I can't believe I'm just now getting around to leaving this review! We were married at 8th & Main exactly 11 months ago in November 2018. Our experience could not have been more perfect. When we got engaged, 8th & Main was the first of two venues that we toured and my husband and I both immediately fell in love with the space. I called back that evening to get our date reserved because we knew nothing else could compare to the intimate, rustic and unique feel of 8th & Main. For a majority of my 10 month planning process, I worked with Gretchen and she was absolutely fantastic. Just about a month prior to our wedding date we found out that Gretchen was leaving for a different position and Regan would be taking over. Initially I was a bit panicked as most OCD brides can understand, but Gretchen quickly reassured me that we had nothing to worry about and were in great hands with Regan. She couldn't have been more right. Regan was extremely helpful in the final weeks leading up to our wedding and even took multiple extra photos of the space for me to help me figure out some last minute setup/decor planning. She also worked seamlessly with our month of coordinator to help make a stressful time so much more enjoyable.From our rehearsal the evening before to every detail of our wedding day, everything went off without a hitch. We got married in the vault room and it was so beautiful on its own that we barely had to add any decor at all to the room for the ceremony. After the ceremony, we had our guests move down the hall to the reception room while we took photos in the vault room with the beautiful bank vault door as our backdrop. Our buffet dinner was served in the vault room and the 8th & Main staff did an excellent job of transitioning the room from ceremony to dinner in what seemed like no time at all. It was a bit too chilly on our big day to utilize the courtyard space much, but it was still a nice place for our guests to escape the heat of the dance floor and cool off.I would highly recommend this venue for anyone looking for an intimate, romantic and one of a kind space for their wedding.

We are so glad we chose 8th and Main! We loved everything about this venue especially the patio, the vault room, and the reception area. We had beautiful weather and were able to get married out on the patio. Several of our guests even commented on how nice the venue was. Regan was amazing to work with through the planning process. She answered ALL of my questions and emails very timely. She was not at our venue that day, but she did manage to stop by and wish us well before our ceremony which we thought was very nice of her to do. Regan and Jordan even put our garland on the arbor. Jordan was the one working our wedding, and she was great to work with as well! She was literally there all day! She answered all of my questions, and she even brought her own personal Polaroid camera when she overheard that ours was not working. She even made sure to have a drink on our table for us when we made our entrance into the reception. She paid attention to the the little details, and it meant a lot. My goodness, I LOVED getting married here. I can’t say enough good things. We looked at a TON of venues, and 8th & Main is the best value out there. They don’t charge extra for having your ceremony, so that’s a $2,000 saving compared to some of the popular venues downtown. Also, you get THREE spaces. Stunning courtyard, amazing vault room, and fab reception space. The whole venue is so cool and fit our style perfectly. They even have rooms for the bridal parties to get ready in that are beautiful too. You also get the support of the staff that work there. Everyone is INCREDIBLE. So kind, patient and helpful. They let us do a bunch of site visits and were so quick to answer all of our many questions. We had day of coordinators, but their venue coordinators were also busy the whole day helping us and our vendors and make everything so perfect. They also have a large parking lot so your guests don’t have to stress over parking. It’s seriously the perfect venue if you’re willing to not get married downtown. It’s a quick Uber to the city if you’re worried about out of town guests and downtown Grandview makes for really cute pics. If I had to do it all over again I would still pick 8th & Main. Thanks for making our day so wonderful!

First off this venue is absolutely breathtaking and has so much charm it hardly needs extra decor, which is a plus! We had about 100 guests and this space was perfect and intimate. Lacey and Regan were amazing to work with and so helpful with any questions/ideas i had during the planning process. You can tell they truly care about their couples and want nothing but the best for their big day. Lacey was so helpful the day of and she was so happy for us- it felt like she was another one of our guests!

First off this venue is absolutely breathtaking and has so much charm it hardly needs extra decor, which is a plus! We had about 100 guests and this space was perfect and intimate. Lacey and Regan were amazing to work with and so helpful with any questions/ideas i had during the planning process. The 8th and Main venue is absolutely GORGEOUS and was even more gorgeous the day of our wedding. Gretchen was wonderful to work with! Quick to respond and answer all of the questions I had! I loved that there was a courtyard area to have our ceremony and during the reception the fire pit and cool lights really make it a cozy place for guests to hang out and for the kids to play safely! I would have my wedding day every day if I could it was absolutely perfect! We also really loved the fact there is a grooms suite, a lot of places don't have an area for the guys to get ready so that was a major plus!

A dear friend passed away and we were looking for the absolute, perfect venue to hold the event, a place that she would have approved of, and we found that at the Mission Theatre in Mission, Kansas. The event coordinator and owners of the venue understood the grief we were going through and helped us coordinate and plan the perfect party right down to the open bar, slide show and karaoke. They accommodated our every need. The venue is stunning and a must see. I hope if you are planning an event you will consider the Mission Theatre. You won't be disappointed!

Our day was BEYOND perfect thanks to the amazing talents at 8th & Main. Gretchen, our event manager, was so attentive to any and all needs + a million and five questions. I never felt like a problem for her, and she always did her best to give me an educated answer with explanation. The venue itself was amazing. The architecture and details are so beautiful, you barely have to do any decorating which I loved. We had our ceremony in the vault room, cocktail hour in the outside courtyard, and reception in the reception space. We paid extra for 8th & Main to do the room flip and it took maybe 5 minutes. Most of the guests didn’t even realize it was happening. The vendors Gretchen recommended were outstanding, and goes to show how hard the staff works for your day. Mat who was working our event was THE sweetest and so incredibly helpful. Every bride stresses about the little details that make your event perfect and honestly with 8th & Main none of that happened. I’m still in shock three weeks later and how perfectly everything ran. If you want to have a venue that you can trust and know cares about your special day as you do-8th & Main is 100% your ideal venue.

Guests also enjoyed mingling under the stars and cozying up to the outdoor fire pit in the courtyard while others danced the night away on the dance floor. The venue also offered a bridal suite tucked away inside a bank vault(!), a groom’s suite, kitchen for our caterer, tables and chairs at no extra cost, and free parking! We were beyond thrilled with the venue and equally impressed with the event manager, Gretchen Roth. I strongly recommend if you are looking for a venue that has it all you must check out 8th and Main.

The 8th and Main team was amazing for my wedding! I worked closely with Gretchen and Alexa. They were always quick to respond to emails and flexible to help make the venue fit my wedding budget. This event space has two options for your ceremony (which is included in the reception rental price!). You can choose to get married in the classical Vault Room with a functioning, historical bank vault door. Or, you can opt for an outdoor ceremony in the trendy patio space under the beautiful wooden arbor. The outside grass is actually turf so you don't have to worry about mud or sinking in those heels! Both the outdoor patio and reception room have trendy patio lights strung from the ceiling for a nice lighting effect. A beautiful highlight for the reception room is the 6 natural wood long tables, no table cloths necessary to cover these beauties up! We added succulents, roses, and mason jars of Baby's Breath to the tables as centerpieces. They also have additional round tables (that do need table cloths). All my guests kept telling me how cute the venue was and that it felt like an intimate wedding space. The mix of indoor class with outdoor modern was perfect. We decided to marry in the Vault Room and used the patio for yard games. The yard games were a hit. It worked out that all our little kids could run, play, and shout out on the patio while the adults visited and danced inside in the reception room. Again, I really can't thank Gretchen and Alexa enough for working with me to come up with a bar package, room arrangement, and working so well with my vendors. My wedding went flawlessly (except for city hall not filling out my marriage license correctly Ha!) and my vision for the wedding came together at 8th and Main. You should absolutely check out this space!

I am so thankful we chose 8th and Main as the venue for our daughter's wedding. It is beautiful, classy, and was the perfect setting for our celebration. We were able to hold both the ceremony and reception here, and everything flowed smoothly. It was also delightful having the outdoor courtyard open from the area we chose for the reception. Last but not least, Gretchen, the venue manager, was a dream to work with. Super helpful, very gracious, she made everything as simple and enjoyable as possible for us. I am very happy with our experience at 8th and Main and would highly recommend them!

My sister-in-law had her wedding and reception at 8th and Main last weekend and I had the honor of being a bridesmaids. 8th and Main is a gorgeous venue that helped in any way that they could to make her day special! The owner is as sweet as can be and the bridal suite was both comfy and cute; the perfect place to get ready. Highly recommended if you're looking for somewhere beautiful and stress-free to have your wedding!

This Venue is amazing! Gorgeous and versatile, with a clean-classic look that works with any design profile desired for one’s event. Whether looking for an intimate setting or an event space for up to 200, 8th & Main hits every note for a chic and memorable backdrop to any celebratory or corporate event! I am an event planner and recently held a wedding in this space. Could not be more pleased with the various facility options available that made way for entire wedding experience to be in one location! Venue comes decked out with lovely bride and groom suites, full kitchen to facilitate caterer, and fabulous outdoor patio which can be used for an al fresco dining experience, cocktails by the fire, additional dance floor, outdoor game space, or a secondary ceremony option for those who are looking for an open-air experience. Gretchen, 8th & Main’s manager, is an absolute delight to work with! Very helpful, thorough and accessible, with a gracious hospitality chip that makes for a wonderful experience! 8th & Main is a dream venue - they are definitely on my preferred venue list! Looking forward to the next one!

We absolutely loved getting married at 8th and Main! It is such a nice place that doesn't need very many decorations to make a beautiful wedding location. Gretchen was such a pleasure to work with and even made herself available the day of the wedding to help decorate! We would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a place to have their ceremony, reception, or both!

Choosing a wedding venue sets the stage for your entire wedding, and I could not be happier with choosing 8th & Main! The owners and event coordinators are exactly the people you want when wedding planning. They are knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Having never planned a wedding before, it was such a relief to have their professional guidance! 8th & Main truly had everything I could've wanted in a wedding + reception venue, and more!

This space is beyond stunning! No detail has been overlooked in this modern and elegant venue (even the toilet paper holders are pretty!) My husband and I had the privilege of being the first wedding held at this new venue and it was truly more than we could’ve dreamed for our big day! The staff provided exceptional service and communication every step of the way – which greatly alleviated my bridal stress. They took the time to get to know us and what we envisioned for our wedding. As a bride, I loved getting ready with my friends in their beautiful Bridal Suite. The vault room provided the perfect backdrop for our ceremony, and we used the larger reception room for our dinner. Our guests also enjoyed their outdoor space, and drinks by the fire pit during the reception. Another perk of this space for us, our guests, and vendors, is how conveniently located it is in the city and the spacious parking lot next to the building. Looking for a venue can be stressful, but instead 8th & Main made that experience fun and special for us. We could not be happier with our decision to have our wedding here!

Meet the 8th & Main KC Team
Kris and Kip Unruh (Owner) Just a couple of college sweethearts, with 6 great kids who have the joy of being called Papa and Grandma by 11 grandchildren. Kip's artistic canvas has been restoring distressed properties and historic buildings in the Grandview area since 2000. The building of 8th and Main has existed since the 1800's when Main Street was a dirt road. While Kris and Kip began uncovering the original brick walls and concrete floors, three old bank vaults were discovered with a lot of extra space! They landed on the idea to create a modern, intimate event space with a wink to its past life as a Bank.
