A Simple Affair is a family-owned wedding venue in Las Vegas, NV. The chic, trendy space provides a stunning backdrop for your special day, with wooden furniture and reclaimed wood-paneling. Staying true to their name, A Simple Affair allows you to plan the wedding of your dreams and will do everything in their power to alleviate the usual stress or wedding planning. Sitting in the entertainment capital of the world, there is so much to do and see in Las Vegas, making it the perfect spot to entertain your guests throughout all of your wedding festivities.
The family behind A Simple Affair knew that this business was the perfect opportunity for them to bring together their talents and provide for couples. During a busy 2017, seeing two out of their five daughters get married, they noticed a lack of event spaces that allowed couples to have their day exactly as they wanted it. From pricing to preferred vendors, they wanted to take away as many of the roadblocks to wedding planning as they could, and thus A Simple Affair came to fruition.
Their all-inclusive packages include catering and bar services for up to 200 of your closest friends and family. You are also welcome to bring in whatever vendors you want to make your day perfect. The full-sized kitchen and prep area is equipped with anything a caterer needs, and their event rentals let you decorate the 4,100 sq ft space to suit your style. No two weddings ever look the same in this blank canvas venue, open to every couples’ creativity and personal flair. The pet-friendly venue is surrounded by the luxurious hotels of Las Vegas, so there is somewhere for everyone of your guests to stay and enjoy what the desert city has to offer. I would book again at this venue, not only the place is gorgeous, but staff is friendly, professional and with great communication! They also offer decor and have different packages options instead of going through other vendors. I had a huge problem with a vendor last minute and they saved the day by helping out and trying to make it better with what they had. Reviewed on 20-11-2023

A Simple Affair is amazing to work with! I planned my wedding reception from out of state, and Maddy and the A Simple Affair team was very easy to work with. The communication was clear and detailed, and they asked a lot of questions that guided my planning.A Simple Affair is a very flexible venue, and you can go as deluxe or simple as you want. They have options in their plan to create an event that matches the budget and image you have in mind. I opted for the team to decorate the tables with garlands and runners, but wanted to bring in my own runner. I also did my own flowers for the arbor, and the team was more than open to making those changes and setting the decoration up for me. Overall, the team is highly accommodating, communicative, and supportive. The venue itself is open and has a beautiful modern farmhouse look. I'm so glad I went with the venue to host my reception, and will definitely look here first for any future events I plan to have. Reviewed on 11-11-2023

My honest opinion, if it weren’t for A Simple Affair, my wife and I were going to hit up the courthouse and rid ourselves of the stress. This venue and the crew that works there made it so easy for us to plan every detail. Maddy and Lauren helped us so much each time we had questions, answered texts and emails with the quickness. When we got to meet in person they were so courteous, to the point and all about their business. Super professional crew and made us feel heard and seen. Then the day off, we had the pleasure of working with Trish and Julia. These girls killed it. There were some things kind of falling out of place because of course, but they came up to me and asked if there was anything they could do to help. Erin and I appreciate you two so much . Y’all are lifesavers for real. (Not the candy). Overall though, the venue was dope, the crew was fire, the tacos were super fire and the whole wedding was out of this world. In large part to you guys. Please book this place if you’re reading this. It’s the dopest spot you can get . Reviewed on 10-11-2023

Jean Oddy(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-04-2023 I had my wedding at A Simple Affair in April and my husband and I are very glad we did! It took us awhile to locate a venue in Las Vegas because we live out of state and couldn't see the venues in person. When we found ASA, what stood out to us was the packages they offer at a competitive price and from the photos, it looked beautiful and it is! We went with the All Inclusive package with the BBQ buffet and it was the best choice. It honestly made wedding planning so easy because ASA can offer almost all of the vendors you would ever need and the add ons we're a plus! I picked the ceremony, cake and DJ as my add-ons. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all in one venue and it made it so easy for us and the guests, and there is a park outside which made for a great photo location. The staff at ASA was very organized and professional throughout the process all the way to the day of, the day of managers were very helpful and accommodating. They have an online platform where you can track all communications, payment plans and schedule, package information and contracts. A note that all contracts can be signed electronically which was necessary for us. It was also easy to contact the staff via email, they were responsive and answered all of my questions on top of the consultation meetings. With the all Inclusive package, you get 3 consultations and then the final walkthrough. A CON from my experience which wasn't a deal breaker was the final walkthrough, it wasn't what I expected. It didn't seem like a final walkthrough, we essentially just sat down and discussed all of the final details. It would have been good to see table and venue layout to fully visualize the concept of the design we came up with. That said however, it is understandable if they needed to set up for an upcoming event so not a big deal. Overall, our experience was smooth, organized and ASA helped make our wedding so memorable for us and for our guests! Food was great, beautiful space and decor, and long lasting memories. Thank you ASA! -The Oddys Reviewed on 14-05-2023

Jordyn Jarrett(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-11-2022 •Pretty space & great up until the day of my actual wedding. Oh, the mom daughter duo that were our bartenders were incredibly kind.•Staff was horrifyingly rude. I would write their names if I knew them but there’s a lady mentioned in plenty of other reviews who probably shouldnt work in a capacity like this one.•We were told the bar would open at 4:15 & be open until 9:15, it didnt open until the staff flipped the room so closer to 4:45.•We were assured multiple times our people would not be forced to leave the venue during flip of the room & then staff told them to leave the venue after they told us they would rotate everyone in a clockwise motion thru out the room starting out with the bar area that was supposed to already be serving drinks.•We were told guests would need to wear wristbands, it was never explained that guests would receive 1 drink per wristband. We had 200 people, the line for the bar wrapped around the room the entire night.•I, the bride (who paid/planned for this entire event for a yr), was told if I wanted drinks that I needed my ID. During my final walk thru I asked about us/us wearing wristbands when that policy was explained & was told we’d be fine & we didn’t need a wristband, my brother had to leave the venue to go get my ID when an older lady refused to give my dad drinks for me & my husband.•There was 1 trash can in the entire venue for 200 people, the other ones were outside or in the restroom.•We had max amount of guests you could have, during our final walk thru & all meetings, I asked on several occasions if the venue would be capable of hosting 175-200 people efficiently & was always reassured yes they do it a lot. The day of my wedding you would have never known. Had the venue been more honest about their capability, I would’ve paid an extra $550 to have another bar so that people wouldn’t have felt the need to go to the bar next door & then be threatened to have my event shut down when the venue had zero damage & made PLENTY of money off of us.•We were told all issues/questions could be addressed with the “host”, when we initially had an issue my dad asked multiple times to speak with manager on duty/whoever was in charge, the host told him there wasn’t one.•If you have a bar, do not by any means expect your deposit money back. It’s actually not written anywhere in your venue contract/alcohol contract how they would actually give you your deposit back, should’ve been red flag #1. From the moment our event began, it was apparent they intended on keeping that money. They don’t have any staff member watching the door or signs stating, no alcohol from outside. The venue is right next to a bar, gas station & grocery store. If they wanted to ensure no alcohol was brought in or taken outside, you would think they’d have a security guard, a sign, or literally anything to help ensure that or let other people know.•When asked if they could point out anyone who brought alcohol into the venue so that we could ask those people to leave/kick them out (including people who brought us full bottles as gifts) they couldn’t point out a single person, only showed pics of trash outside the venue (a pic which had a can of beer the venue sold inside).•A staff member approached my husband when our reception began to threaten to shut it down, this violated our contract as she should have never approached us only our POC.•All in all, beautiful space, not the kindest people, they really just want your money. During the ceremony, people in the kitchen were moving dishes and talking to each other and it distracted guests away from the ceremony. Not sure if it was our caterer or the SA staff.2. We had a lot of issues with the projector. Everyone sat around waiting for 20 minutes for my brothers speech to start and then it cut off halfway through and we had to start it over. Had had < 100 people and it felts perfect. Pros: - Reasonably priced and let’s you bring in nearly all your own Vendors which is rare is vegas! And actually have AMAZING preferred vendor list options. - great options for tables/chairs, room design, arbors, etc.- close to a lot of great lodging options for my wedding -staff members were kind and very very understanding and willing to work with you to make your day amazingOnly Cons-Day of my Wedding, they had an event booked before mine in the morning ran over or had heavy clean up. Due to that what the vendor had agreed to have set up ( in contract) we as not done, and not ready at the time I paid for. So my set up crew had less time to set up and it was rushed and little over 30 minutes behind schedule. Your get no grace period for set-up. You pay for every minute before your event so every minute felt like it counted. Me as the bride, my officiant, wedding part etc , stopped taking pictures early ( first look) to help actually set up, because the morning even turn over bled into my time. - They like everything is writing (which makes sense) so if you are looking for a phone call to get questions answered, it probs won’t happen. I had a hard to getting things answered prior to booking, but after being booked you had built in a few in person meetings. Though very responsive in text.- parking can be a little can be limited if you have a bigger wedding. Reviewed on 24-05-2022

Michael Rose(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-10-2021 Let me start by stating that the venue was good, very well set up. The one star comes from the employees, who created more stress throughout the process and on the wedding day. My Wife and I paid for the all inclusive wedding on a prime day, in full, upon booking it, over $10k in one payment. Let's start with the walk through. The venue scheduled the walk through 30 days out prior to the event. We went in and went through what we did and did not want to & took multiple items out of what was offered, resulting in $700+ owed to us. I asked Lauren how we get the money that is owed to us back and Lauren stated \"no refunds within 30 days\" even though they are the ones who scheduled the final walk through. I asked where the money goes and Lauren raised her hands up and stated \"it just exists\". During the event one of my groomsmen had a flask with him. I get it, no outside alcohol allowed. But I can't search every person that walks in. When they observed my groomsmen with the flask they didn't even speak with him about it. They immediately began yelling/scolding the wedding party, including the bride and the groom. They could've pulled anyone to the side to not make a scene to address it. They continued to yell \"this is strike one, three strikes and we close the party down\". It was rude. I understand there are rules, but the venue failed to give the rules out to our coordinator until 4 hours into the event. During the event the groomsmen had boutonnieres on their suits held on by safety pins. There was a difficult time putting one of them on. One of the venue employees interjected herself into the situation stating she was a \"professional\". She was unable to put the boutonniere on either. Later during the event my groomsmen saw her and asked for help and she responded stating \"your fucking broken\". Very professional!During the dinner the main coordinators for the venue disappeared. The schedule was printed and it was time to move on to the cake cutting. My photographer, who was not related to the venue, looked for the coordinator. With no luck my photographer began to act as the coordinator for about 20 minutes. The rest of the event went well. Fast forward to the end. The venue offered my wife and I $200 for the arch that we built. I accepted this offer and left the arch with them. They stated we would get the money for the arch when we got our deposit back. A few days later they emailed us stating that they no longer wanted the arch and we needed to come pick it up. When we weren't able to pick up the arch they emailed us again and stated they would like to hold on to the arch for another week to let their \"carpenter\" look at it. When they decided a week later that they did not want it, they had us come pick it up. They destroyed the arch by attempting to take it apart. When that failed, they attempted to nail and glue it together and eventually they drove a screw right through the back of it, some \"carpenter\"! There's repair work needed to make the arch the same as the wedding day. and that's plain wrong. Overall the venue itself was beautiful. The staff though, were terrible. 90% of the wedding was military/law enforcement, and to be treated so unprofessionally was uncalled for. Reviewed on 06-11-2021

We had the taco experience and all our guests raved about the food. They have a great staff who helped turn the ceremony area into a dance space in about 10 minutes, and they were always there to take away empty plates or glasses. I would absolutely recommend this venue to anyone! Reviewed on 26-10-2021

Kelcey Martinson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2021 A Simple Affair was the perfect venue for us! We opted for a destination wedding in Las Vegas, but wanted a timeless and fun environment that was more subtle than \"Viva Las Vegas\".The flexibility and customization of ASA is exactly what we needed while planning a wedding across the country. The All-Inclusive package was perfect and all of the vendors were selected based on our answers of a questionnaire. I could not have done a better job vetting and hiring vendors than ASA. From the food, bar, photo booth, and DJ, everyone was amazing! We wanted to enjoy our wedding day without having to worry about small, unimportant details and we did just that. I cannot thank the ASA team enough for being so professional, responsive, and all around amazing! Such a great value, my husband and I are so happy with everything. Reviewed on 20-08-2021
Rochelle Acena(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-05-2021 In February 2021, I set up a meeting to meet with some one in their team. We met with Jessica and went over a lot of questions we had and worked on the floor plan and the order of events. A month before the event, we had another meeting for the actual final walk through and it was with Lauren because Jessica had gone on maternity leave. I did not like how things discussed with Jessica did not get noted for Lauren. It was minor things like the couches (normally an add-on charge). Jessica said she would include but Lauren mentioned the charge. She didn’t charge us but I don’t like that inconsistency, it should have already been noted. There were other little things but I just feel like everything discussed and agreed upon during the meeting with Jessica should have been relayed to Lauren. The event was beautiful, they did a great job decorating. I remember when I first booked the venue, I asked if they could put out any decorations I bring because I wasn’t hiring a wedding planner and I was told no because they’re not certified wedding planners which was fine. So initially I asked my family members to set up some things for me (name place cards, table numbers, signs, welcome table). My aunt figured everyone would be too busy and that it wouldn’t be enough time so she called and asked Simple Affair to set it up for us - which they said yes with a $300 charge (this was the day of the event). That was great that they were able to do it but why wasn’t this mentioned before because I would’ve opted for that. The DJ was a vendor through the all inclusive package chosen through Simple Affair. The DJ was great, he emailed us and we did a phone call to go over the songs, the order of events and things like that. I emailed him my order of events which included everyone’s names including mine and my husbands and our last name (my new married last name). The day of the event when we get announced he announces us as Mr. & Mrs. using my last name and not my husbands last name!! I immediately walked up to him and corrected him and he announced the correct last name. He came up to me and showed me his paper from the Simple Affair team showing my last name when they knew my husbands last name. Samantha and Chaney were the hostesses that day and I took out my frustration on them at that point in time. Afterwards, I realized it was not their fault. This was something that could have been prevented simultaneously with the DJ & Simple Affair - the DJ could have gone over the papers I sent him and Simple Affair could have payed more attention to this detail on their end as well. During the final walkthrough it was mentioned that they could save the top layer of the cake for us to freeze. It was something I didn’t care to do at first but I decided to do it which was discussed with Jessica & Lauren. At the end of the event the hostesses did great about asking me what decorations I wanted to keep and packed it up for me but they could have also reminded me about the cake and gave it to me. When I emailed Simple Affair about it I was told they found it in their fridge but had to throw it out due to policy but I wonder if Samantha or Chaney even knew to save the top layer for us. That’s another thing that should have been noted and probably relayed to the hostesses. Other than those things, my wedding day was the best day of my life. We had such a great time and so did our guests. It was a great venue and I’d still recommend them to everyone wanting to do an event. Reviewed on 12-06-2021

Tammara Fonseca(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-11-2020 This venue is affordable and pretty but customer service is not their thing. We booked way ahead of time and had a plan sold to us. Next visit we were told no that wasn't added, price increase. Its still affordable so we went with it. Our meetings were with a Jessica and even a final walk through where all the details were \"written down\". Except on my wedding day an Aubrey walks in and now nothing is ok! On the wedding day! 30 minutes before I walk down the aisle I have to pull up emails to prove where the gift table goes. The aisle and chairs were centered wrong, the cake topper is missing, they are in my bridal suite with Jessica on the line over trivial things that were supposedly \"written down \". I missed my dressings pictures with my mom over dumb mistakes. And in the end they did not apologize. Don't assume they are there to make your day go smoothly it is quite the opposite! Everything else was perfect even with covid and the elections. Don't trust them! Get all written down, take a copy and make sure your contact person is ready to fight with them... all night. A Simple Affair really pulled through for me. I loved the venue and being able to customize the room layout and the high ceilings. They had a super convenient turnover service between ceremony and reception. My favorite part was definitely the bistro lights, they really set the mood. Not to mention, there's a super adorable park just on the corner that made my special day just that much more special. I really loved how knowledgeable and friendly that the staff were in helping select vendors, and I really loved that we had the option to bring in our own food and other vendors (like a DJ and photographer) instead of being super restrictive like a lot of other venues are, limiting use to only their preferred vendors. Jessica Cardoza(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-09-2021 NOT SUPPORTIVE OF BLM. I’ve been reflecting a lot about what is and has been happening in the world for centuries— the injustice, the inequality, the ever prevalent racism, systemic racism, mass incarceration, the murder of our Black and POC brothers and sisters. It’s made me think, how can I be better? How can I support the right orgs, how can I put my money where my mouth is because enough is enough! One of the steps Kirk and I have taken is really analyzing where we spend our money and how those orgs and companies support or don’t support our communities and the BLM movement. One of our biggest expenditures was our Wedding Plan.We contracted with A Simple Affair and reached out with some of my concerns and really was hoping to have an open dialogue, where I could potentially share some ideas of how they could help the community and understand why they were being silent in such a critical time. Each time I did this, it was met with hollowed words, no action, and no offering of time to discuss any ideas I thought would be beneficial. When asked for their owners information to try and make a bigger impact, they advised to simply provide my feedback on social media or by again, reaching out via e-mail, even though we’d been going back and forth for sometime with no real conversation. Needless to say, I was extremely saddened that they were so unwilling.I sat with it, mulling over what to do before having a frank conversation with Kirk to talk through our options. We decided to cut ties and cancel our plans with the wedding venue. I will hold people accountable because I’m no longer simply letting it be. We just can’t sit idly by.I want to encourage you to really think about where you spend your money, who you give your business to, and what they use their profits for. I also wanted to post this for transparency to other brides who are currently contracted with them or are thinking of selecting them as a vendor. To date, I have not received or seen any compelling actions that would make me think otherwise.Link for communication with the venue: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/131B6l6GiibgvZb-BAABYF2fOETXWE6qw?usp=sharing Reviewed on 26-06-2020

Kimberly McKenzie(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-06-2019 If you are looking for a venue that offers full service as well as the flexibility of hiring your own outside vendors, this is your venue! My new Husband and I cannot find enough positive words to describe our recent experience with this venue. We originally sought out A Simple Affair to host only our wedding ceremony as we had bee having tremendous difficulty finding an economically friendly venue that wasn't charging and arm and leg for every little detail. We also had a clear vision for our wedding and wanted to hire outside vendors without having to pay multiple outside vending fees. Upon our first tour of the venue and within a few minutes of meeting with Cori, we knew this was where we HAD to host both the ceremony AND reception! Believe it or not the beautiful black and white marbled flooring was striking to me. It was a welcomed change from the typical stale banquet hall carpeting we were finding at most other venues. The owners worked with us to accommodate our budget and bring our vision to past. Cori jumped right in and treated our event with care as if it was her own. The staff was very instrumental in helping us to find outside vendors as well as with educating us on the local business laws. This is extremely helpful knowledge information we will carry with us for all future events. They entire staff maintained clear and open lines of communication with prompt response times whether via telephone, text or email. The facility is pristine, offering amenities such as audio& video capabilities ( awesome for music and slideshow presentations), a full kitchen suitable for both buffet and plated catering, private dressing rooms , welcoming bathrooms and even an inventory of rental decor (this came in very handy for me!). My Husband and were married just a little over a week ago on June 8, 2019. At the end of it all we feel more like family than we do customers. That is the principle on which A Simple Affair was established and it is certainly evident in their business practices. We HIGHLY recommend A Simple Affair for your future events. They did everything they could to make our day exactly how we wanted it. During the months leading up to the wedding, they were fast to answer any questions that we had, willing to add or delete things from our proposal, and offer suggestions for vendors. The night of my daughter's wedding, Marylynn was the best hostess. She was there throughout the night to assist us with anything we needed, from extra tables and linens, to helping us get all set up with our slideshow and music playlist. The space is beautiful! Jesse Castro(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-10-2018 A Complicated Affair. After months of preparation and numerous visits they decided to call me 5 weeks before our wedding and advise me that we need to find a different venue because they “don’t have proper permits” to host a wedding. Not sure how previous weddings were hosted at this venue but my guess would be they never were or it was done so illegally. Never once during our 8 months of preparation was there a discussion about “proper permits”. All blame was put on their “contractor” and never once did they take any responsibility for this nightmare. I would tread lightly with this venue. There is a reason why the bar nextdoor has a terrible relationship with them. Their is also no business license on file for “A Simple Affair” within their jurisdiction. Im not sure what they were thinking booking weddings in advance but it has truly created a horrific scenario for us. All our deposits are a complete loss as we were unable to get any refunds due to the very close proximity of our wedding date. As far as finding a venue to accommodate all our guest, decorations, layout, etc....it has also been a nightmare. I would suggest covering any concerns and ask to their PERMITS beforehand prior to making any commitments or even giving them your business. The photos on their website of a wedding that was hosted there is actually one of their family members which is more than likely how they got away with actually hosting an event there. As time went by from our first visit/meeting I began to become skeptical as we never actually talked to the same person routinely, but rather we got messages and appointments with different “employees” everytime, which created almost no customer relationship. Other surrounding venues I spoke with stated they received 3 other calls from couples who also had their weddings cancelled on them. Proceed with caution. For any other couples who were affected by this venue and wish to discuss their experience with me, my email is jkastrow@gmail.com. Reviewed on 04-10-2018

We are a family that loves to throw parties. This year we got to throw two of our biggest parties as two of the five girls in our family got married. As we went through the experience of planning a wedding we found that we could not find a venue for an affordable price that would let you bring in whatever vendors made your day perfect. So, we came up with a solution. A Simple Affair. An affordable venue that is flexible and versatile.
