Abbey Springs Reviews
Leslie Rowe(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-07-2022 Like many other couples, we weathered a 2+ year wait for our wedding, while most of our vendors did not survive the wedding downturn. We planned and re-planned our wedding several times, needing to change the location, celebrant, food, theme and number of guests constantly. We selected Abbey Springs only by the great online pics and recommendations, especially by the reputation of the Event Manager, Kinda. She was so thorough and made our detailed planning and requests seem so easy! We wavered between the lakeside tent and the clubhouse, and honestly, both are absolutely beautiful. The food was some of the best we have ever had and the service was impeccable. It turned out to exceed even our dreams! Reviewed on 02-08-2022
Erin Wilkins(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-06-2022 Gorgeous venue! Our wedding was a dream! Kinda was so great to work with. All our guests were raving about the venue and the food! So happy we picked Abbey Springs for our special day. Thank you! Reviewed on 10-07-2022
Dana Kowsky(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-07-2021 Absolutely beautiful venue!!!! Kinda was a big help and eased my mind all the way up to the big day. Classy, elegant, intimate, perfect place on water for wedding. Food was delicious, great service by all the staff. Reviewed on 17-07-2021
Jenae Bassler(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-07-2020 Abbey Springs was the perfect wedding venue! The lakeside lawn and tent provided a beautiful backdrop for our Wedding. The staff was friendly and professional. Kinda, the events coordinator was responsive and found a solution to our every question/concern during Covid-19. 10/10 recommend! Reviewed on 14-09-2020
Nicole Swierczek(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-08-2020 If you are looking for a unique wedding venue with amazing food, great view, and a caring staff, Abbey Springs is your winner. The venue coordinator, Kinda, is one of the nicest, committed people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. She is incredibly responsive, walks you through the entire booking process, is on site the whole day of your wedding to help you, and goes above and beyond the call of duty. The cocktail hour tent provides a gorgeous lake side experience and the banquet hall is a stunning canvas that we were able to decorate and make our own.The food was FABULOUS and we are still getting rave reviews from our guests. That, and the fact that all of the workers were so kind and accommodating. The entire experience was perfect. We are so grateful to Abbey Springs and Kinda for making our wedding day a dream come true. THANK YOU!!! Reviewed on 06-08-2020
Melissa Worcester(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-07-2020 We found Abbey Springs after our original wedding venue canceled on us, then we downsized our wedding, and then we slightly upsized our wedding. Needless to say, planning our wedding 3 times was a rollercoaster. We luckily found Abbey Springs about 3-4 weeks before our wedding day, and it was smooth sailing and absolutely meant to be (another wedding canceled on our date just 2 days prior!). The Operations Manager, Kinda, was wonderful; we loved her down-to-earth vibe and connected with her right away. The space was gorgeous and the prices reasonable. We booked the next day. Quick replies, AMAZING food, and flawless execution on our wedding day. We are now blissful newlyweds that wouldn’t change a thing about our wedding day. Thank you, Abbey Springs! Alex Kelley(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-06-2019 This is the best waterfront wedding venue on the lake. Our entire wedding was at Abbey Springs. The bridal party got ready in the boat house right on the water. The ceremony was on the grass overlooking the lake, cocktail hour under the tent next to the ceremony with gorgeous lake views, and the reception was in the main clubhouse. Kinda Schinto is the event coordinator and was extremely helpful and great to work with. She always got back to me very quickly and helped every step of the way. All of our guests raved about the venue. The food was absolutely incredible, again our guests raved about it. The grounds were gorgeous for photos. The other thing I found so amazing is that Abbey Springs only books one wedding per weekend, so it feels all about you and we didn't have to share space. Cannot recommend this venue enough!!! Ashley Graw(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-06-2016 Abbey Springs was such a beautiful place to get married. I wouldn't change a thing! The staff was super friend, the head waiter was FANTASTIC he was so nice to the entire wedding party and truly cared how our night was going. The food was also great, sometimes banquet food isn't as good as the tasting but Abbey Springs food was phenomenal. Also, you can't beat the setting right on the water and the club house is beautiful. 5 Stars and two Thumbs up! Reviewed on 05-07-2016
Catherine Dunn(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-06-2016 Abbey Springs is a great place to get married. We did have a change of wedding coordinator in the middle of our wedding planning, however the new coordinator, Kinda, is great. We had our ceremony on the grass by the lake and our reception at the Lakeside Tent. This venue cannot be beat. It is right on Lake Geneva and is simply beautiful. The food at Abbey Springs is amazing... not your typical wedding food. Throughout the night, the catering manager checked in with us to make sure that everything was going well and that we were taken care of. I would definitely recommend Abbey Springs for a wedding! Kate Fiedler(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-08-2015 Abbey Springs was very accommodating and my wedding turned out wonderful. Our coordinator left after our wedding so while I'm unsure as to how his replacement will be, we loved everything about this place. Great service, location, and price. Reviewed on 15-09-2015

Amanda Stekala(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-06-2012 We had our wedding at Abbey Springs on 6/2/12. We had the ceremony and cocktail hour by the lake with the reception in the banquet room overlooking the golf course. The location is beautiful, the food was great (we had chicken piccata & pasta primavera for entrees) and they allow you to customize your menu. We chose them because of the cost difference between other venues and NO F&B MINIMUM! This was great for us because we saved an est. $4000 between having the ceremony at Abbey Springs vs. The Abbey Resort. The only downside at Abbey Springs was service. We initially worked with Jenna, who was the absolute WORST! She gave us all the wrong information and would never get back to us about anything. Luckily she ended up leaving during the winter and we got passed on to the new coordinator, Joel. Joel was really great and I wish we could have worked with him from the beginning. I would have given Abbey Springs 5 stars except I was very offended the night before the wedding. We told Joel we would be in to drop off all the centerpieces and decorations and when we arrived, I had to wait 45 minutes because he was on the phone. We were in a time crunch because of our rehearsal dinner so I was annoyed. I waited outside of his office while the executive director (who did our tasting) along with SEVERAL other employees walked by not even asking if I needed help. After the executive director walked by for the 10th time he had the nerve to ask me if I was there for a tour. This made me really mad considering he did our tasting and we had already paid the venue over $10,000. I was getting more annoyed and said \"actually my wedding is here tomorrow\" and he responded with \"oh your hair must be different\". So then he had the nerve to show me where to put the boxes, never asking if he could help us bring them in. I was dropping them off with my mother and a girlfriend. I considered that to be extremely rude especially with the amount of money we paid them. Looking back I would probably book there again because Joel did a good job and it was very cost effective...but don't expect them to bend over backwards. Reviewed on 19-06-2012
Sarah Hessel(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-10-2011 This resort hotel was very dirty and the staff was very rude. We booked two nights, but only stayed one. They tried to overcharge me at checkout and I had to show them my email on my smartphone to prove what price I was supposed to get. Reviewed on 25-10-2011
Sarah Cornwell(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-09-2011 We held our September Ceremony at Abbey Springs, lakeside and the reception in their banquet hall. The banquet hall is beautiful in itself, including 2 gas fireplaces to warm cool autumn air. Everything went wonderfully! As with all vendors, do not be afraid to keep up with them about plans and details...they become busy and may not call on the day you thought they would. Other than that, many compliments and we recommend food stations..pasta was fantastic! Reviewed on 11-10-2011
Gina Bounds(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-06-2011 Really did a great job. Jenna, the Clubhouse Manager, is great to work with. Everything we laid out that we wanted for set up for both the ceremony and the reception were done well. A few minor things happened, such as the guard gate not letting us in initially for the rehearsal dinner and the tables in the reception room set up slightly off, but I think it's normal to have a few small things to fix, and in the grand scheme of things, they were quite minor. We got great feedback on the appetizers and Italian buffet we had for dinner. One of the bartenders was rude to the guests from what I hear, and we did share that with Jenna. But overall, Abbey Springs did a great job in their preparation, set-up, and were more than willing to work with us (and cut us a few deals along the way!). The picturesque setting of the tent next to the lake for our ceremony was fantastic. Reviewed on 06-07-2011
