Abbington Distinctive Banquets is a wedding venue located in Glen Ellyn, IL. This setting is defined by its undeniable elegance, down to its finest details and decor. Its photogenic ballrooms, high-quality cuisine, and attentive service will be sure to make your special day unforgettable. Abbington Distinctive Banquets was first established in 2002, and is owned and operated by the dedicated Fabbri family. They have decades of experience in the wedding planning industry, dating back to 1969, and strive to make all couples feel welcome at their venue. Located in the suburbs of Chicago, this secluded property boasts stunning architecture inside and out, to give your ceremony and reception a fairytale ending. Weddings with up to 300 guests can be easily accommodated in their multiple ballrooms and pre-gathering areas. Delicate crystal chandeliers hang from the ceilings, adding a sophisticated aesthetic to any nuptial theme. Each space features large windows decorated with romantic drapery, to provide both outside views and plenty of natural light. Double doors lead from the pre-function space to the ballroom, to give you a grand entrance to your reception. Guests can be seated around the spacious Maplewood dance floor, for an easy transition from dinner to dancing. Dressing suites are also available onsite, where you and your wedding party can prepare in luxury. The team’s professional wedding planners will work alongside you and help you achieve your dream theme. Their detailed table arrangements, full-length linens, and Chiavari chairs will be arranged into any formation you prefer. From your cocktails to your wedding cake, the onsite catering team will customize your menu to complete your nuptial vision. The onsite staff of greeters, servers, and bartenders will be present during your day, to ensure you and your guests are properly cared for.

Wow. Just wow. My husband and I just had our reception here on Saturday, and I cannot believe how absolutely PERFECT it was. Everything went off without a hitch! We worked with Tara the past year, and she has been nothing short of amazing. Quick responses to emails, always available to talk over the phone, and willing to accommodate any need I had. Dian was our room captain the night of our reception, and she is a blessing! So kind, so detail-oriented, and has a very calming way about her which really eased any anxieties I had going into the night! She popped in every once in a while to make sure everything was great and even took time to get to know my family, which was so appreciated! The room looked 100x prettier than anything I had imagined in my head. My guests had an INCREDIBLE time. It was just PERFECT!!!

My husband and I could not be happier with how our wedding went at the Abbington. We had cocktail hour and the reception there. We worked with Kathy Koutsogiannis and she went above and beyond- we love her!! She accommodated our every ask and was so great to work with. Everything from the initial email to the last song of the night- the staff did an amazing job. The food was excellent and we are still hearing feedback from our friends and family about how awesome the wedding was! Thank you Kathy and the rest of the Abbington banquet

My husband and I could not be happier with how our wedding went at the Abbington. We had cocktail hour and the reception there. We worked with Kathy Koutsogiannis and she went above and beyond- we love her!! She accommodated our every ask and was so great to work with. Wow! We are so so so thankful we had our wedding here. First of all, the venue is GORGEOUS - we ended up doing both our ceremony and reception here! Starting with the packages, so much is included it's so helpful!!! The cake and centerpieces were included (and both vendors they work with for those were incredible). They also provide a list of recommended vendors they've worked with for other aspects of the wedding. You can purchase late night snacks through them as well as a plethora of different cocktail hour add-ons and we chose to utilize their candy station offering for favors (huge hit)! They have so many options!! Now onto the organization, amazing! The original point of contact we had went on maternity leave and chose to stay home with her baby, so we were switched to someone new about 4 months before our wedding. You would've never known! The notes they all take must be incredible because Tara picked up our wedding as if we'd been working with her the whole time. She was up to date on all the details of our wedding! The communication leading up to the event was wonderful - very timely and answered all our questions! Now onto the wedding itself! WOW! All of the staff were so kind and so helpful - Tara was there the whole day to help facilitate everything and keep us on schedule. Everyone was so extra attentive to us as well as our parents to ensure we were all taken care of. Nothing but great feedback from everyone involved on how well the venue took care of us and ensured our day went smoothly! Could not recommend enough!

The Abbington was our dream venue!! Not only does it have a STUNNING appearance with big beautiful chandeliers and a huge ballroom dance floor, but the staff was SO great to work with! Truly the best place to have your wedding! From the event coordinators to the service staff, everyone was so friendly and professional at the Abbington. We were able to have a stress-free time with how smoothly everything was run. Planning a wedding from abroad is normally so difficult, but because of our awesome coordinator Kathy, we were able to get everything we dreamed of, exactly the way we wanted it to be. We were even able to make arrangments such as a square family table in front of the head table, and we were given access to the bridal rooms and private bathroom as well, which was helpful. Their list of recommended vendors also helped make floral arrangements and cake planning a breeze!It's been two months since our wedding, and our guests still talk about how genuinely delicious the food was (even down to the coffee!), how attentive the staff was, how nice and big the dancefloor was, and simply how beautiful and elegant the event looked. My husband and I couldn't be happier with our decision to have our wedding here. I really can't recommend this place enough! If you're looking to book a wedding or any other party, this is the best place to do it!

I would like to highly recommend the Abbington Distinctive Banquets. We held both our ceremony and reception at this venue and was very pleased! We selected this venue based on its elegance (I absolutely loved the north ball room which features oversized windows allowing beautiful natural lighting, oversized chandeliers, and neutral color tones blending that blended well with our color palette. We also loved the fact that they have an option to host the ceremony in a separate room from the reception which was an absolute must for me, I am very particular and a little hard to deal with at times due to my over attention to detail and wanting every single detail preplanned and perfectly executed. Tara my venue coordinator was very accommodating to my \"type A\" personality :) She was very patient with me no matter how many times I contacted her, or regardless of how many times I stopped by the venue to run through things or do mock set ups, and was always just a email/ phone call away throughout the entire planning process. Leading up to the wedding one thing that I had not thought about prior to booking this venue is that we wanted a traditional soul food cuisine and the venue does not offer outside catering. Tara went above and beyond to meet my needs by helping us put together a custom menu using items from their various banquet menus. She also allowed us to request extra seasonings and provide details on how to turn their traditional menu Mac and cheese to \"southern style baked Mac and cheese to give the food the southern flare we desired. The chef did an amazing job of executing it and the food was delicious and an absolute hit! My family (including the great aunties and grandparents) whom are tuff food critics were very pleased! We had absolutely NO complaints with anything related to the venue on our big day and would like to thank the staff at the Abbington Distinctive Banquets for being top tier! Everything was perfect!!!

Between the planning leading up to the big day to the day itself, the Abbington and its staff made our wedding so special. Tara and Mary made planning so easy and customized. We fell in love with the Abbington the minute we stepped in the door. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue - the chandeliers are a showstopper. We worked with Tara who was the best! She was so organized and knowledgable, honest and we trusted her which is so important when putting basically your entire wedding reception in someone else's hands! Everything was set up exactly as we discussed and they really brought my vision to life. The food is also excellent. We are still hearing from guests on how beautiful the venue was as well as how amazing the food was -- everything came out hot and we had 250 guests!

If I could give 10 stars, I would.We just had our wedding here and it exceeded my expectations! Kathy was wonderful to work with throughout our entire planning process. She was very flexible and on top of everything. Super friendly and invested in making sure you are happy with every little detail. The room itself was absolutely stunning! The chandeliers, low lights, and the candles made it feel so romantic. The food... omg. Everyone RAVED about the food, but specifically, the steak. We had multiple people tell us that it was the best steak they had ever had- that it melted like butter. The cream of chicken soup- also amazing. The hors d'oeuvres were also a hit; we chose the shrimp, Spanikopita, spring rolls, and mozzarella skewers. I had people tell me they didn't have room for dinner because the appetizers were just that good. Even the ice cream that comes in the chocolate cup... our guests went crazy over it.The pricing here is so fair. Top shelf liquor, AMAZING food, and A+ service. Our captain was Omar and he was so nice and so accommodating. He, too, was on top of absolutely everything. We felt like we were in great hands the whole night.I highly recommend the Abbington 1000%. Thank you for making our wedding night the best night!

Tara, Mike, Kathy and the whole team at Abbington helped make our day picture perfect. From their dependability, transparent nature and helpfulness it made planning a wedding enjoyable and easy! Tara really helped me bring my dreams to life and spent time helping me with every little detail down to the perfect napkin fold for my guests. I would have more events at the Abbington for their beautiful space and helpful staff alone, but the food was also amazing. Coming from a foodie background, this was VITAL for our wedding. My guests are still raving about the food at our wedding. If you're looking for a classy, traditional and delicious venue then Abbington is your place!! Not to mention their preferred vendors are also amazing.

Tara really helped me bring my dreams to life and spent time helping me with every little detail down to the perfect napkin fold for my guests. I would have more events at the Abbington for their beautiful space and helpful staff alone, but the food was also amazing. Coming from a foodie background, this was VITAL for our wedding. My guests are still raving about the food at our wedding. If you're looking for a classy, traditional and delicious venue then Abbington is your place!! Not to mention their preferred vendors are also amazing.

Our guests still keep telling us how good the food was, particularly the steak. They were nice enough to even have sorbet for a couple of our guests with nut allergies that didn’t want to risk eating the cake. Our banquet captain was Omar and he was very kind and packed everything up nicely at the end of the night. It was nice that The Abbington has a lot of things included like the centerpieces and the cake, it felt like that took away some of the stress of planning a wedding and the centerpieces were beautiful and the cake was delicious. We highly recommend this venue!

Abbington, and particularly general manager Tara Kubicki, made our wedding reception very special. Many guests said our reception was “cool,” largely due to the great amd delicious food, atmosphere and music. Tara and Abbington were very cooperative with changes we gave them and when one of their clients canceled, she gave us the roomy South ballroom with a stage for the wedding party and access to the bridal room where we could enjoy a bottle of free champagne and snacks. It was a covid year and they addressed all of our concerns and challenges of hesitant guests. We were very happy with the florist and baker they recommended - the cake was extraordinary and the flowers were beautiful.

Abbington, and particularly general manager Tara Kubicki, made our wedding reception very special. Many guests said our reception was “cool,” largely due to the great amd delicious food, atmosphere and music. Tara and Abbington were very cooperative with changes we gave them and when one of their clients canceled, she gave us the roomy South ballroom with a stage for the wedding party and access to the bridal room where we could enjoy a bottle of free champagne and snacks. It was a covid year and they addressed all of our concerns and challenges of hesitant guests. We were very happy with the florist and baker they recommended - the cake was extraordinary and the flowers were beautiful.

The Abbington staff made our daughter's wedding very special. They were helpful, professional and courteous throughout the entire planning process and the reception. Since our other daughter got married four years ago, we had researched and visited more than a dozen reception venues. We had heard some good things about Abbington, which we found to be 100% true. In conjunction, their package prices were very reasonable and highly competitive with other similar venues. In fact, their prices were often less than others and sometimes significantly less. Due to Covid-19 concerns, we decided to postpone the wedding for a year. The staff worked with us to find a new date to accommodate our needs and transferred all of deposits to the new date and did not penalize us in any manner. They also honored their prices based on our original contract. Working with them was very easy and once we got everything to them, they took it from there. On the wedding day, there was nothing for us to do except enjoy the reception. The room looked beautiful. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious with generous portions. No one left the reception being hungry. Because of a delay of the wedding party, cocktails and appetizers were slightly delayed but Abbington willingly extended the cocktails and appetizers for us. They checked in with us throughout the night to make sure our needs were being met. At the end of the night, they packed up our belongings such as signage, photos, etc. which simplified our lives greatly. Our special thanks go out to Aly, Mary, Tara and Omar for making the reception special and the entire process easy. Any concerns we had were quickly addressed and resolved. We would highly recommend having your reception at Abbington. They will not disappoint you.

Our wedding at the Abbington could not have gone better. Tara was wonderful and really easy to work with. The attentiveness and friendliness of everyone that we worked with helped the night go without a Hitch. The food from appetizer to dessert was outstanding. Everything ran soo smooth & it was such a joy working with the manager Kathy, she was LiteraLLy awesome. We feLL in Love with her right when we met her - she makes aLL your wedding reception dreams come true. Super easy to contact & is always by your side. We couldn't have asked or a better manager & venue. We thought planning a covid wedding was stressfuL at first untiL we started workin with Kathy, at Abbington - they were so accommodating & we are forever gratefuL! We were supposed to have a 1000 person wedding but due to covid, had to cut down a Lot & it couldn't have gone more smooth. Kathy made our wedding plans stress freee. The chivari chairs were beuatifuL, their round tables, head tables and family tables were nice & big, spacious, their built in dance floor was amazing, 4 built in bars as weLL! Wedding planning can be an incredibly stressful experience, but everyone at the Abbington was friendly and enthusiastic about helping us have the wedding of our dreams. We worked with Aly throughout the planning process, and she was prompt with communications and so easy to work with. Aly and Dian took care of the tiny (but important) details on our wedding day, allowing us to focus on celebrating with our friends and family. My sister had her wedding here 5 years ago and I was planning on ONLY having my bridal shower here. After complications with our original wedding venue (2 weeks before our wedding!!) I quickly reached out to Abbington to see if they still had availability and if they could help me with this important event, again only TWO WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING, and during a pandemic, might I add! They were so so quick to respond and help create that amazing night. Although the event was in the middle of a pandemic, they made sure the safety of their staff and our guests were number 1. Abbington Banquets was nothing short of amazing! We started the process of selecting a venue for our July 2020 wedding in September of 2019. We knew at our first appointment that this was the venue for us. Aly Rennels, our event manager was sweet, professional and timely from beginning to end. The uncertainty of being able to have a wedding and reception during the COVID pandemic was stressful but Abbington did not disappoint! I cannot recommend the Abbington highly enough. From our first meeting with them, they were professional, fun to work with, such experts at what they do, and handled every change of plans we asked them about so well. The evening was beautiful and everything we had hoped for, and that would not have been possible without the Abbington. Their package (venue, catering, bar, linens, wedding cake, and flowers) was very reasonably priced, and every vendor they put us in touch with was also very easy to work with. We don't live in Illinois anymore, and so had to communicate a lot over the phone and over email, and all of their staff was so accommodating and friendly, and really worked with our situation to make things happen. To Kathy and everyone else at the Abbington, thank you with all our hearts for such a smooth and well-executed wedding planning process and reception.

I’m late on our review as our wedding was January 4, 2020. I would highly recommend Abbington Distinctive Banquets. I initially would with Michelle who is no longer with Abbington but she was very responsive and helpful with any questions. Once Michelle left Aly was our person of contact, also very quick in responding and she was there the day of the wedding. She exceeded my expectations and made sure our wedding day ran smoothly. Our captain of the night was Javier, (also amazing) he made sure we were taken care of through out the night and had all our belongings (gifts, guest book, etc..) ready on a cart at the end of the night. Our head table waiter was Miguel, amazing service and brought out our delicious food. I received so many compliments on the food.

We had our reception at the Abbington on 10/12/19. We could not have been more pleased with the service and the food. All steps of the planning stage were handled by one person, Kathy, who was so easy to work with. The staff at the reception were well dressed and looked very professional. The staff was very attentive to our guests throughout the whole evening. The head table had it's own staff member. The food was absolutely delicious and we had four dishes available for our guests. Many of our guests told us of how impressed they were with both the food and the service. The sweet table display was very impressive and delicious. We knew we made the right choice based on the comments of our guests and family. Thank you Kathy and thanks to the staff of the Abbington for such a wonderful reception.

We celebrated our wedding reception here 10/04/19. Aly and Abbington staff made our wedding even better than we could have imagined! We had the opportunity to see the dining room before our guests were seated and it took my breath away. We loved the white string lights on the terrace! Abbington is the best!!! Kathy is absolutely wonderful and had a seamless wedding without a flaw. She kept in communication with me throughout the planning and always answered my million emails and questions. The food was outstanding and even allowed guest to bring it home!! We couldn’t be more happy that we picked Abbington to have our wedding. This place was by far more than a 5 star rating and I wish we could rate it a 10! The atmosphere of the whole reception hall is elegant and romantic and they were super accommodating to all guests. The captain during the night was amazing and made sure the bride and groom were well taken care of!!

My husband and I had our wedding this past January and we had worked with Tara the entire 8 months of us planning and everything came out AMAZING!! Our ceremony and reception and we couldn’t be more happier with how everything turned out. From the flowers, to the cake, to how Tara became our same day coordinator and had gotten our ceremony organized, even with how they setup our decorations made everything look so elegant and picture perfect for us. Then her staff...PERFECTION! The staff catered to us and all of our guest that we were blown away by their service and the close attention that they gave us. There was also extra food from some guest not showing, out of the corner of our eye we saw the staff bring out containers for food to be taken home. Once we talked to a few of our guest they all stated that they were able to take the extra food to go. That completely blew our minds away, because we’ve been to other’s weddings at other locations and no one else had offered to box the extra food for guest to take home. Tara and her wonderful and amazing staff blew our wedding out of the park that we had gotten so so many compliments from our guest for months. Then let me not forget, the food...one word, DELICIOUS! You will not be disappointed with portions either. Your guest will go home happy with full stomachs. Tara and her staff gave us the most amazing experience that we couldn’t imagine we would have. We recommend anyone that’s having a wedding, or even a large event, to definitely book Abbington Distinctive Banquets. You’ll absolutely love everything about it.

Honestly, I wish I could give more than 5 stars. We worked with Tara and she was amazing! Extremely professional, kind and truly loves her job! Our reception was amazing simply because all of the staff knew what they were doing and kept the night moving smoothly and beautifully. I actually found the Abbington on the Knot on accident looking around. BEST FIND in search history!! They were literally a one stop place where we had our ceremony and reception which is STILL being raved about! We had the pleasure of working with Michelle, and she put up with all the ups and downs our planning process brought like a PRO! EVERYTHING was perfect and I couldn't have asked for a better day. Food amazing and I hate wedding food! Vendors that they work with are the utmost quality as well! My room came together with no disappointments. They made my dream wedding actually hap[pen and I couldn't be more thankful for it!

The Abbington was great and Kathy was there to answer every single one of my many many questions. She made the planning process so easy. There were a few slight mix ups on the day but they were fixed as soon as we mentioned them to our point man. Having certain vendors attached to our contract made everything that much more easy to get through in the planning stages.

Perfect wedding venue! We had the most wonderful experience working with Kathy at the Abbington for our July 2018 wedding! She was always so friendly and helpful with all of our questions and concerns. Our wedding was beautiful, the food was amazing, and all of the staff went out of their way to make sure our guests had what they needed. We felt like it was a great value for our money. I have no complaints! The Abbington definitely helped make our wedding day everything that we had ever wanted.

Perfect wedding venue! We had the most wonderful experience working with Kathy at the Abbington for our July 2018 wedding! She was always so friendly and helpful with all of our questions and concerns. They were always available for any questions, changes, etc. It is a great venue for those who want an elegant looking reception. Our servers on the day of were attentive and very helpful. The room captains make sure that everything goes as planned. Everyone involved at the Abbington makes sure that anything you ask for is completed but also goes above and beyond to help you think of things that you didn't know you needed to decide. We worked closely with Tara through out our planning process and she was great! We had an unconventional timeline and she was available even with the weird timeline. Our guests all loved the reception and raved about how great the food was! We booked the venue prior to seeing it and we had absolutely no regrets!

I cannot say enough about the Abbington! Our wedding was absolutely perfect and it was all thanks to them! They helped with every detail of the day (particularly Kathy one of the managers there.) She made the day so smooth and stress free and did so much for the event I felt like I had my own personal wedding planner. I would recommend to anyone to have their reception there. The food and cake were absolutely delicious, the facilities were gorgeous, the prices are so reasonable, and the staff is top knotch! You will not regrets booking there!!!!

We had our wedding reception here in September and it was amazing! Everything went just as I had hoped and planned. We booked the Abbington in February for our date and from the very beginning Tara was responsive to all emails and willing to work with our schedules to show us around. They even showed us around twice so that we were positive before we put any money down. The hall is beautiful, no extras were necessary to make it look any better. They did not seem to increase their prices just because it was a wedding like other banquet halls seem to. They were upfornt about everything, including incentives that they had for having our wedding on a Friday. They have many great companies that they work with to give you a starting point for everying such as hotels, photographers, bands, and dj's. Everyone from the Abbington that we spoke with were professional and caring. I never felt as though I had to worry about my reception! The food was fantastic and my guests are still talking about everything, they have options that everyone will love. On the night of my reception they were even more helpful than I could have hoped. They made sure that I had eaten, that I was able to slip away to use the restroom, and that I had a drink if i wanted one! I highly reccomend the Abbington to anyone who wants a stress free reception!

We immediately fell in love with Abbington for its elegance and class and knew it is perfect for our July 2017 wedding!!! Throughout the entire planning process Tara and Michelle were dedicated, attentive and prompt to answer any and all questions I had. Attention to detail is very important to me and I was not disappointed whatsoever. I appreciate the entire planning staff respecting all my decor preferences and wishes!Compliments to the Chef and the entire kitchen staff for delicious food, cooked to perfection! The entire menu was delicious and we received so many compliments on the Chicken Piccata and filet mignon!!Our captain for the night, Diane, is such a pleasant lady! Diane assisted us throughout the entire evening, looked after us and made sure we are taken care of! Both our bartender and our Martini bartender were extremely pleasant and very friendly!! Their service was fantastic and prompy. I am sorry but I do not recall their names. I had my wedding here on April 22. We had a total of 300 people. I had told everyone to be there at 6pm even though we wouldn't get the room til 7pm. My family is known for being late so I figured they would all be here by 7pm. Surprise everyone was in starting at 5:30pm the lobby was full of people and the room wasn't ready. Tara and her team were very professional and were helping me thru the chaos I had created. I was freaking out but her team was calm and they worked really fast to get me my room. I was able to take pictures with most of my guest in the studio my photographer set outside of the room while the room was being set. Everything went without a glitch and none of my guest realized that it didn't actually start til 7pm. Once the doors opened my guest were directed and taken care of by 7:30 all 300 of them were seated and we were ready to start the dinner. I had the servers running up and down getting stuff for me and my family and they were very efficient (my family is very needy). My guest loved the set up of everything. Working with Tara was great she made me feel like I had nothing to worry about and I really didn't as long as I brought my stuff in her and her team set it all up for me I was in there 2x first was when I toured and signed the contract and the second one was the menu tasting and I was able to chose my center pieces my cake and the colors for the table and chairs. I didn't have to go in there other than to make my payments. I was so happy one less thing to worry about. My guest are still talking about our wedding and we actually received thank you cards because they were so grateful to be invited to such a wonderful venue. I love this place and I recommend it to anyone Tara is amazing and her team is great. Have nothing but good experiences here. Definitely a good place for any type of event.

We had our wedding reception at the Abbington (south ballroom) in June 2017 and could not be more thrilled with the service and staff. Choosing a reception venue was really important and we are so happy we chose the Abbington. The price was very reasonable and we had over 250 attendees. Multiple guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The food was excellent, the bartenders were friendly, and the entire staff was so professional and accommodating. We worked with Tara and she was exceptional- she always responded quickly to our inquiries and helped us with everything from food decisions to decorations in the room. Their contracted vendors, Shamrock Gardens and the Baking Institute, were wonderful to work with as well. Before we booked, I reached out to multiple people who had their events at the Abbington. They always highly recommended the service, food, and staff which speaks to their consistent excellence. We cannot thank the entire staff at the Abbington enough for making our day beyond what we could have imagined!!

We came for a tour and did not feel welcome at all. We were about 10 min late because we couldn't find the location, but I did call right away and told Alyssa we were running late. When we arrived, the tour lasted about 10 minutes, her presentation was very dry and she didn't seem interested in our business. She was emotionless and didn't ask any details about what we wanted for our wedding day. I had to ask her for an estimate and handouts regarding prices and package options. There were no other guests when we arrived, and no one else showed up by the time we left so it didn't seem like our tardiness was burdensome, especially since the whole thing took about 20 minutes total! The office is a joke. There was one chair at her desk for guests. HELLO, people usually come in as a couple. All the other venues we visited had at least two chairs at the desk, one even had four.....We wanted to have our ceremony there as well, and they don't have a separate room for ceremonies. Ceremonies are held in the lobby. With 200+ guests, that would've been ridiculous. The bridal suite was so small compared to other venues I visited. Overall, customer service was terrible (the worst of all the vendors I visited), there was lack of a decent ceremony room and the bridal suite was small.

Having our wedding at the Abbington was the best decision we could have ever made! Tara was so helpful during the entire wedding planning process. She answered all of my questions quickly and offered great suggestions. The day of the wedding I was stressed when we arrived and the staff put me at ease right away. Diane was spectacular! I did not have to worry about anything...they took care of it all! We received multiple compliments from our guests on how exceptional the service was. They truly made our wedding the best day ever!

I cannot get over how perfect my night went. The guest all loved the venue and could not stop raving about the overall service. I had never been the venue before and neither had my husband. We just couldn't pass it up and I am so happy we followed our gut because it was a perfect night. The staff is fantastic! I have been recommending this venue to many friends and suggest to at least make an appointment. Its worth your time!

I cannot get over how perfect my night went. The guest all loved the venue and could not stop raving about the overall service. I had never been the venue before and neither had my husband. We just couldn't pass it up and I am so happy we followed our gut because it was a perfect night. The staff is fantastic! I have been recommending this venue to many friends and suggest to at least make an appointment. Its worth your time!

The Abbington was great! Tara, the event coordinator for our wedding was amazing. She was so sweet and accommodating. Always very helpful with any questions we had and was always available when we needed her. We have had numerous compliments from friends and family as to how friendly the staff was and how beautiful the venue looked. Also the food was delicious! We have not had any negative feedback and our wedding went off without any problems. We would absolutely recommend the Abbington to anyone looking for a venue!

The Abbington was great! Tara, the event coordinator for our wedding was amazing. She was so sweet and accommodating. We booked this venue a year and a half ahead of time and throughout the entire planning process, Tara was always extremely responsive and helpful. Our wedding reception was equally fantastic and the food was incredible. People are still talking about how beautiful the venue was and how amazing the food was! I had my wedding here in June 2016. Friends and family prepared me for things that would go wrong and not to worry about details that were out of my control (HA, yea right!). I'm not lying when I say the reception was perfect and I think I owe a great deal to The Abbington. I was very organized and timely, which definitely helps, but Kathy made sure my day was perfect. She was able to answer all of my questions, accommodated my requests and more importantly made me feel like not only a bride, but the most important bride. With the calendar full a year in advance, she made us feel as though we were a priority and just as important as any other wedding they had even though we had a smaller wedding at 100 guests. The food was excellent and the staff was extremely attentive even wrapping up our food so we could actually eat and enjoy it a different day. Our captain set up and tore down the room with all my décor and flair and was better than I could have envisioned, literally taking my breath away. Let your tension melt away with Kathy and the fabulous staff. If we had to do it all again, I wouldn’t change a thing.

We had a great experience with Kathy at Abbington Banquets! From our first meeting, Kathy was very friendly and seemed genuinely interested in us and our wedding. You can tell she really likes what she does. I left feeling that she would do everything in her power to make everything perfect on our wedding day. We were not disappointed! The whole process went smoothly. Kathy was always quick to respond to emails or phone calls and followed up with us leading up to the wedding. Our wedding day was wonderful! The room was set up so beautifully and exactly how we had discussed. There was no event the day before our wedding, so my mom, sister, and I were able to go in and set up our centerpieces. The room looked stunning. I loved the staircase for us to use during introductions, and it worked out perfect that day. I also loved having the bridal room upstairs to be able to have my own bathroom that was big enough for a wedding dress :) The food was fabulous! It was so delicious! I received SO many compliments on my wedding food. Everyone loved it. We had so much fun at our wedding, and the room was beautiful. Thank you, Kathy!!

All I can say is INCREDIBLE. From the room decor to the white glove service to the unbelievable food- our wedding reception was perfection. The high vaulted ceilings combined with the beautiful chandeliers was a sight to behold with all our uplighting and room decor. We cannot say enough good things about the Abbington and their staff. As soon as I visited the Abbington, I knew it would be where I would have my wedding. The high ceilings and chandeliers are beautiful and very impressive-looking. We worked with Alyssa, who was awesome - I had a million questions and she was patient and quick to answer. We were even able to chat with the chef, Phil, who helped ease my mom's nerves. My family is Italian and full of tough critics, but they LOVED our reception. Lots of compliments on the food (particularly the filet mignon). Overall, I loved everything about the venue. The food was great, every staff member we worked with was friendly and helpful, and the decor looked beautiful. Would definitely recommend!
