Aberdeen Manor was the PERFECT venue. What I liked best is that it is essentially a one stop shop. Our wedding coordinator (Lauren) took care of all of the details and made the whole wedding planning process so so easy. All of the staff was extremely professional and helpful. Our coordinator was great about staying in touch and responding quickly to any questions I had. We were able to have our wedding invitations done in their shop and they turned out great! They also offer tuxedo rentals, place card printing, they have items available for centerpieces, card boxes, cake stands, specialty linens, flower girl baskets, jewelry, garters.. everything! We had our ceremony in the chapel and it was beautiful. Since it was Christmas, they had their holiday decor up in the chapel and the ballroom and it really is a nice touch. The reception was also perfect. Their lighting options and decor options are beautiful. You definitely get what you pay for and I do not regret any of the decor or lighting options I added to my package. Our coordinator took care of all of the details the night of and it went so smoothly. The service staff was wonderful and I have had many family/friends compliment how well the service was. I definitely recommend this venue to anyone getting married!

Aberdeen Manor just made sense! The idea that you can get married in either the chapel or garden and then walk across the parking lot to the wedding reception is a wonderful experience! Our coordinator was Lisa and she helped us so much with every single step of planning our wedding! Every question that we had was answered in a timely manner! Aberdeen took the guesswork out of planning a wedding! We were married in the chapel since our wedding was in March and everything was beautiful! We had an effortless planning experience, and the evening went very well! The entire staff from the coordinators to the servers was terrific! Aberdeen Manor ended up being our first and only venue we looked at. It had everything we needed. I loved the idea that we were the only couple onsite the entire day. We weren't sharing the venue like some other large banquet halls. They are so quick to accommodate any needs, including changing your ceremony from outside to inside the morning of. The place is gorgeous and can fit a very good amount of guests.Megan was our coordinator, and I HIGHLY recommend her. She was so patient and worked on every detail with us. This was both of our first marriage after all, so we didn't have the experience. She was able to visually show us various designs and provide many options. She walked through nearly every step to ensure we had everything in order and worked with our vendors to keep them in line and on schedule. She is your timekeeper that day and handles absolutely anything that arises. She was the ultimate coordinator.

Our wedding was everything we dreamt of it being and more! Lisa-our coordinator was amazing and very fast at responding to all emails and any questions we had. My dad almost ordered the wrong tux color and Lisa actually caught it and fixed for us. We have no complaints of any kind. Lisa took upon herself to bring out water to the wedding party due to it being a humid while we were taking our wedding photos. Only thing we would recommend that we heard from some guests is that there be appetizers served (if purchased like we did) to the wedding party when taking photos. Some of the wedding party did not get any. Other than that, everything was great and I would recommend this venue! Lisa Allen is amazing!

My husband and I had our wedding ceremony at the Aberdeen, and this venue is honestly more than we could have ever dreamed of for our special day. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and just as we had envisioned. If you do book with the Aberdeen, I absolutely recommend working with Megan as your Wedding Planner! She was outstanding and made sure that she knew exactly what we pictured beforehand to ensure that we would have the perfect day. With a change in our wedding plans months before the wedding, Megan was so kind, sincere, and accommodating to our needs. Having our wedding at the Aberdeen made my husband and I feel like we didn't have to worry about much else than enjoying the day. (Also, for outdoor weddings, there is a beautiful garden with lots of greenery in the summer!). I 100% recommend this beautiful venue!

Lisa was our planner and she made the entire process so easy and manageable for us. Lisa is so incredibly kind, knowledgeable, professional, and she has a wonderful sense of humor! Wedding planning can be very stressful but Lisa put our worries at ease from our first meeting. She is so organized, detailed, responsive and answered any question we had. The Aberdeen truly is a one stop shop – they printed our invitations and menus for us, provided the suits and shoes for the groom, groomsmen, ring bearers, and bride’s father, plus day of coordination. They offer so many options for centerpieces, décor, and give you lots of ideas to make your wedding exactly how you want it! The facilities are beautiful and so well-maintained. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and everyone is so nice! Everything on the day of our wedding went so smoothly thanks to the Aberdeen staff, we were so happy with how everything turned out. Aberdeen Manor was nothing but the best all around. With having a wedding in the middle of a pandemic where plans can change at the flip of a switch they made my fairytale wedding still come true. With the parameters we had to follow they still went above and beyond to make the day happen. I can’t even put into words how wonderful not only my wedding coordinator, Lisa, was but the owners were equally amazing with making sure everything went smooth. The communication between everyone with me was phenomenal. Responses were always thorough and fast. I was never sitting around waiting for an answer and I had a lot of questions. I cannot say enough good things about my experience with all the details that Aberdeen handles it made wedding planning a breeze and enjoyable.

We could not be happier with Aberdeen Manor!! My husband and I got married there on August 15, 2020. They were amazing to work with!! Our coordinator, Kelsea, was the BEST!!!! From the start, she was so great, helpful, fun, energetic, and so so kind!! After touring Aberdeen, we knew we needed to have our wedding there not only because we loved the venue, but we loved Kelsea! We got married in the chapel and had our reception in the ballroom. They helped make it exactly how we envisioned our big day to be!! We talk about our wedding with our friends and family every single day, and wish we could relive our perfect day. It truly was the greatest most beautiful day, thanks to Aberdeen Manor! We are so grateful and wouldn’t have wanted our wedding anywhere else! It was truly perfect.

We loved everything about Aberdeen Manor! The best part is how easy they make everything. The planner assigned to us, Lisa, was simply amazing. She was so detailed and so helpful! So many brides are beyond stressed planning their weddings, but I did not feel that way... I believe this is because of how awesome Lisa was, along with the rest of the staff at Aberdeen. It is such a beautiful venue with the best staff!

We loved everything about Aberdeen Manor! The best part is how easy they make everything. The planner assigned to us, Lisa, was simply amazing. She was so detailed and so helpful! So many brides are beyond stressed planning their weddings, but I did not feel that way... I believe this is because of how awesome Lisa was, along with the rest of the staff at Aberdeen. It is such a beautiful venue with the best staff!

Truth be told the Aberdeen was not our original choice. Our venue burned down shortly before our wedding. Their slogan is something like \"we only need one chance\" and let me tell you that is true. We gave them a chance and it was the best thing that we ever did. I think that the Aberdeen turned out to be better than our original venue. Here's why you should give them a chance:-it's extremely clean. They've been in business for years and years but the place looks IMMACULATE. You have to see it to understand what I mean.-price. Their prices are transparent and fair. We were given ballpark invoices along the way and weren't hit with any secret fees at the end.-it's family owned. How cute is that?? From the bar tenders to the chef and everyone in between. Many of the employees have worked there for like 20 years which tells you that the place is quality.-indoor/outdoor space. We had our ceremony outside because the weather was kind but in the event of heat or rain they allow you to use their beautiful chapel. In addition the guests had access to the garden/patio during the reception.-the food. We booked the place without having tasted it because it was so last minute. We loved it and so did our guests.-setup/teardown is included! It is one less thing that you have to worry about and pay for.-flexibility. You have 1000's of different options. You can decorate the ballroom as you wish and include or take out what you want and don't want (lighting, centerpieces, decorations, etc.)-Kelsea. You don't know her yet but you should. She was an amazing wedding coordinator and we can't say enough good things about her. Lisa and Megan and several others helped us out as well. They are all great!If you haven't booked your venue yet just go see the place and talk to them.

Megan is very knowledgeable with event planning and has great relationships with vendors. She asks the questions you don't think to ask and is incredibly organized and resourceful. I especially appreciated her calming presence throughout the whole process. The day of the wedding, I was stress-free because I knew Megan was behind the scenes working it all out for me. I would not hesitate to recommend Aberdeen Manor to future couples, as they exceeded our expectations in every way possible.

ABERDEEN was perfect me and my husband's wedding. Lisa was such a joy to work with. From day one we were comforted knowing that everything would be taken care of. Chuck went out of his way to customize the altar with drapes and lighting for me as heaven was a part of our wedding theme. The decor, food, hospitality, everything was perfect. We truly had a wedding production with all of our special effects and Aberdeen throwing in some snow and extra ceiling decor. Everything was perfect. It is a one stop shop and DEFINITELY WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY. Definitely include all that's free and included on your day. We got married 11/11/18. We took pics in the garden and around the chapel. I gave details about my grandmother's angel table remembering her and Lisa and the Aberdeen staff set up her table in both our ceremony and reception. I didn't have to worry about anything. We got the grooms' tuxedos from Aberdeen, so much easier. They did our place cards. The food was great. I'd recommend the steak and the cranberry crusted chicken. We opted for cranberry on the side. I could not have imagined getting married anywhere else in Indiana. My husband and I live in Chicago and wedding prices are just astronomical. Our family lives in Indiana and Aberdeen was perfect. We got our chapel ceremony and reception hall...the only wedding there. I wanted it all in one place with 2 different atmospheres. It was perfect. We had 250 guests. The only thing I would change is extending our reception by 1hour. Our guests had so much fun and before we knew it, the party was over. #EleventhHeaven #StevieJDay was perfect thanks to Aberdeen and Lisa. We love you

My coordinator was Megan and she was always there on days I needed to ask those random questions. Everyone there just seems so nice. If you happen to go with Aberdeen, I would just say don’t stress because they will make sure everything is perfect for you.

I am so glad I chose Aberdeen for our wedding ceremony and reception. Both were set up absolutely beautifully. The people there really do care about you as a person. They make sure everything is perfect and the way you vision it and make things right ASAP if they don’t. They even went above and beyond what my vision was and made it look absolutely beautiful. Gina was our coordinator and she went absolutely above and beyond! She was new there and was an absolute expert. We asked a lot of her to make our day perfect and she did every single thing without question. She really did become a friend. Trey was amazing! He was in the ballroom before the ceremony and I went in just to look at everything and soak in all the beauty. He was so generous and kind. He also walked me over to the chapel for our ceremony. It had just rained, so a couple of my bridesmaids were ready to hold up my train across the lot. But, one of the servers came and held my train across the chapel. It was absolutely surprising and generous. The ceremony went great! There was a wedding the day before mine, so they gave me the option of having the backdrop for no additional cost. I appreciated this so much because this gave a great touch. The sound system was great in the ceremony and everything went so smoothly. I did feel a little pressed for time for pictures in between the ceremony and reception because it was highly suggest or required to have cocktail hour right away. We could have taken pictures before, but I had a lot of bridesmaids so the entire morning was booked with hair and make up, and my husband didn’t want a first look. The ceremony was absolutely STUNNING! The coordinator will have you bring your decorations before the wedding and they will decorate for you; or at least I did since there was a wedding before mine. I had so many decorations and there were a lot left over. All the workers went out of their way to use them in other places in the manor and made it absolutely beautiful! My husband surprised me before dinner. We had a semi-Disney themed wedding...we are both teachers and big kids inside. He set up a little choreographed start to our dinner. The servers did a little skit to the song “Be Our Guest.” It was simple, and just an elegant touch. I absolutely loved it!! It was one of my favorite parts of the night. I believe thanks goes to Payton and Trey for setting that up! :)The food was DELICIOUS! We still have comments a week after our wedding on how good the food was. And to be honest, we couldn’t pick a potato so we asked our coordinator Gina for a suggestion. She said the regular Aberdeen mashed potatoes were popular and I am so glad we went with that. The coordinators are so knowledgeable there. The only thing we had a little trouble with was decorations. There was little decoration included, and depending on what you want, it can add up pretty quick. All I asked for was a backdrop behind the head table. The place STILL looked absolutely stunning with only that and the decoration included so don’t feel like you have to spend too much on added things. This experience has wanted me to possibly pursue being a wedding planner. They made he entire experience so much fun and enjoyable! They are so organized and give a checklist so you don’t forget important things. I wouldn’t have wanted my wedding anywhere else and definitely suggest Aberdeen to any bride if you want the perfect wedding! You won’t regret it!

I loved having our wedding at Aberdeen Manor and would highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding! They are really good at what they do and everything about our wedding was well ran and perfect. Our wedding coordinator, Lisa did a fantastic job! All of the extra little touches such as the wedding photo book at the end of the night, the snow machine for our first dance, being able to have our ceremony and reception in the same place, and all of the customization options for the venue decorations was so fun and beautiful. I can’t even begin to describe how grateful we are to Aberdeen Manor. Our wedding day was an absolute dream come true. From the moment we walked into Aberdeen to see if it was our future wedding venue, we knew right away it was the place our forever would start. Megan our coordinator, made us so comfortable from the beginning. I had complete trust in her and the Aberdeen team. They made our planning experience so easy and stress free. Their recommended vendors were all AMAZING. They too made our planning so easy. Everyone complimented me as we were getting ready for the day how calm I was. I knew everything was taken care of, and I had complete trust in Aberdeen. Everything was absolutely PERFECT. The garden was absolutely breathtaking. The flowers from Kristinalynn Floral were gorgeous. The ballroom was astonishing. From the lights, to the hanging cake stand everything was beautiful. They truly take pride in their work and it shows. Our DJ Mike from Trans Audio, kept the dance floor going all night long. Megan our coordinator, checked on myself, my husband, and our families constantly throughout the night. The bartenders and servers were fantastic as well. I heard so many compliments about Carol. Aberdeen Staff all truly care about your day being magical. They do this because they love making your day the best. It was the best day of my life, and I wouldn’t change an absolute thing. We had our wedding at the Aberdeen chapel. It was pretty and accommodated all of our guests which earns it the three stars, but we had a few complaints as to how it was run. First, we were switched between three different wedding coordinators while we were working with Aberdeen. Then, we showed up for our pre-scheduled tour and none of the coordinators were free to do it... even though they scheduled it ahead of time with us. Luckily, another worker was there and took us around the grounds. We were told that we had to be on time for our 5:00 rehearsal because it would end promptly at 6, but then the coordinator was running late! She still kicked us out at 7, despite the fact that she was running about 15 minutes late and the chapel was locked when we arrived, with our wedding party waiting outside. On top of that, on the wedding day we started on time but were actually kicked out before we could do a receiving line because there was another wedding arriving immediately after ours. For people who stress punctuality enough to kick us off the premises, they were sure sloppy with our tour and rehearsal, so I can't believe they were so strict on our actual wedding day. Not flexible at all unless it suits them.

The drinks were strong, the decorations were perfect. I work a lot, and this place had all the decorations I needed, set them up and took them down for me. Aberdeen is great!

Not only was the staff amazing, especially my coordinator Lauren, but the venue was beautiful and very accommodating. Our wedding day was perfect, the food was fabulous, the decor was just how I imagined. The best part at the end of the night was Lauren handing me a booklet of pictures from the ceremony and reception. It was great to look at that the next day and a wonderful surprise I wasn't expecting. I highly recommend having your wedding and reception at Aberdeen Manor!!!

The best part at the end of the night was Lauren handing me a booklet of pictures from the ceremony and reception. It was great to look at that the next day and a wonderful surprise I wasn't expecting. I highly recommend having your wedding and reception at Aberdeen Manor!!!

This was the perfect venue for my husband and I! We were scared about the price, but honestly, it was way cheaper to do everything at one place, instead of booking from multiple different people. Our night was perfect. They set up everything for us, and I didn't have to worry about a thing, which helped me by being able to make all my bouquets and boutonnieres to save money. I didn't feel stressed at all doing this the day of my rehearsal! They took care of everything. Megan was my wedding planner and she always emailed me with any concerns, and didn't mind my constant emails to her with random questions. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get married here! You won't be disappointed!

I held my daughter's bridal shower at Aberdeen. Words cannot express how perfect everything was. During the planning for the shower, which also included finding a wedding venue, we actually became frustrated because it seemed as though every idea we had was \"shot down\" and all we seemed to hear was \"No, we cannot do that\". We tried to book the reception at Aberdeen, but the date was taken. Luckily, we were able to book her ceremony at Aberdeen Chapel, so we can still enjoy the benefits that the staff and management offers. The shower was absolutely perfect in every single way, food was fabulous, and complements were given all day long. I would very very highly recommend Aberdeen for all your shower and wedding needs. They are nothing short of fabulous, and five stars are not enough!!

They work with you on every last detail. We received so many compliments on our wedding day ranging from the food to the decor. I know this is SEVERAL months late but I did want to take the time to thank the AMAZING people at Aberdeen and rave about the venue a little bit. My husband and I were married in October and chose Aberdeen as the place it will all go down. Not only was the venue BEAUTIFUL, we loved how the chapel and reception hall were literally across the street from each other so that cocktail hour could start minutes after the ceremony ended. I can't tell you how many people came up to Craig and I after the wedding and commented on how elegant and gorgeous everything was. I also had people telling us that the staff at Aberdeen were so attentive and helpful. It rained a tad on our wedding day (good luck right??) but the guests stated that the staff walked with them and held umbrellas over their heads while they walked from the chapel to the reception hall. They also helped me and did the same, so there weren't any makeup/hair disasters (phew!).\rSpeaking of the staff, I want to single one person out who helped us in SO many ways; Megan. Megan was our wedding coordinator and the most amazing person ever I can't literally say enough about her. Starting from the first meeting we had with her, I knew that she had everything under control. Megan was so organized and detailed it actually calmed me down (I'm a tad control-freakish). I had so many weird questions that came up that I asked Megan and she responded to my emails almost instantly. She really helped take a lot of pressure off of the planning in the beginning. On rehearsal day, our minister actually showed up almost an hour late. Megan didn't miss a beat, she walked everyone through the rehearsal herself and stood in the place of the minister so that everyone knew where they were going (crisis averted!). On wedding day, Every time we needed something Megan was RIGHT there to help. My sister was having trouble bustling my dress and we were fighting with it for a while before the rehearsal started. Megan happened to come into the chapel at that exact time and helped bustle the dress! Literally nothing (that I can point to) went wrong on wedding day and I truly believe it is because the Aberdeen staff is SO well educated and planned in this scene that they know exactly what to do. Guests even told me how great the bartenders were and how nice everything flowed together. I can't say enough about Aberdeen Manor. I am so happy and grateful that Craig & I chose this as our wedding venue. The food, staff, hall, chapel were all top notch. The entire staff at Aberdeen was fantastic. My daughter had a vision of the perfect wedding and they surpassed all of our expectations. \rThey took care of everything down to the very last detail. The chapel was stuffy and hot, the food was cold when they finally got to our table, and the bartender seemed less than pleased to get us our drinks. On top of that, I found the venue to be very outdated. Pretty disappointed with my experience at Aberdeen.

There is so many good things to say about Aberdeen manor!! Place is amazing and beautiful!!! The staff is so friendly and helpful and it comes with a wedding planner which helped me tremendously!!! My stress levels we're very low because of Aberdeen manor I knew I was in good hands and things were going to be perfect which it was!! My wedding. Was amazing and beautiful!! The service was great food was beautifully plated and tasted amazing!!! It was worth every penny we spent! Icoudlt not have had a better wedding anywhere else!!!

If anyone knows me they know I'm very particular about the way things look and how an event flows so it wasn't easy to let someone else take the reigns. But I am happy to say I was nothing but pleased with everything at Aberdeen from beginning to end. Denna and the staff were always friendly and very helpful. I LOVE Denna so much I can't say it enough what an awesome person she is! She really knows her stuff down to every small detail! I ran into a few problems finding the right people to do all the other stuff like flowers, alteration etc. But Denna was always there to guide me trough it all. They also have a list of reputable vendors that will suit anyone's needs and the staff at Aberdeen will never steer you in the wrong direction. They help make your dream wedding into a reality. When they say one chance is all they need their not lying its the truth. If your reading this I'm sure your looking for a venue to have your perfect wedding at and I hope that my review helps you realize that this is the place and the cost is comparable to other places but the difference is Aberdeen is worth every penny. Thank you staff at Aberdeen and Denna for making this experience so amazing and for making me feel like a part of a family not just another face. If you live in the Northwest Indiana area and are looking for a vendor for your wedding, Aberdeen Manor should be on your list of places to check out! They absolutely gave us the wedding of our dreams! The owners are amazing and went above and beyond anything we could have ever expected! The owners and husband-wife team, Denna and Jim, make you feel like you are really part of their family. They are willing to work with any budget, small or large. Denna is a Wedding Planner and is full of surprisingly wonderful ideas! She will make sure that your wedding celebration includes all the personality of the bride and groom. Everything was taken care of by the wonderful staff at Aberdeen. I did not stress out throughout the entire process, because I knew Denna was on top of it! \rThe evening of our wedding went off without a hitch! We expected SOMETHING to go wrong, but nothing did! The evening flowed from one stage into the next! Over a month later, our family and friends are still talking about how wonderful the evening was and how much fun they had that night! We wanted a celebration with our loved ones and we certainly got one! With my husband having family all over the place (Arizona to Texas to Florida and even Japan), we wanted to ensure that everyone enjoyed their time together. It was not just a wedding, but it was a family reunion of sorts! The entire weekend was a big celebration! Though we personally had no particular attachment to Valparaiso (I’m from Crown Point and my husband is from Tinley Park, IL), we couldn’t have found a more fitting location! \rIf we could do it over again, I wouldn't even hesitate to get married and have the reception at Aberdeen Manor. \rAlso, if you are looking for a venue with an outdoor setting for a wedding, the garden area is beyond beautiful! We wanted a location that offered an outdoor area as well as a hall for the reception so that guests didn’t have to drive to a second spot after the wedding. I had my wedding and reception there and from the day I chose them as my venue until the very last minute before we left the night of my wedding, they were right there helping me along the way to make sure my wedding was everything I wanted. I had a wonderful wedding at Aberdeen Manor and would refer them to any bride. We had a July 6, 2013 wedding and it was beautiful. I feel like Aberdeen does offer a lot for the price, however I would recommend considering a Friday wedding or fall wedding if you are planning on having under 200 guests because of the minimum that you are required to meet. I had 130guests and found it hard to meet the 8000 minimum on food and drink. A wedding out of season or not on a Saturday would require a much smaller minimum to meet, but this was a planning mistake on my part, and not soemthing at the fault of Aberdeen. The food was amazing, and the decoration were beautiful I did like how I could bring in my own decoration and have the wedding coordinators decorate everything to my liking. All of the workers were very professional and friendly, and made sure that everyone was happy. \rThe only item that was a bit upsetting was the time that we were allowed to take pictures. We were only allowed one hour before the ceremony, and this is not much time. Also, I felt very rushed for pictures after the ceremony. Pictures were very important to me, so this was a bit upsetting.\rWhile I was upset about the time allowed for pictures, I do feel that I had a wonderful wedding day, and in the end would strongly refer anyone to them. The service and quality of everything is wonderful.

We had our Wedding and Reception at Aberdeen, and It was absolutely amazing! From the moment I walked into Aberdeen, over a year before my wedding, I knew I had to have it there. The venue is beautiful, and unlike some places in the area, it is decorated in neutral colors. (Everything is done in shades of Grey within the ballroom, we viewed several places with bold colored walls, which for a wedding venue i think is tacky.) \r\rDenna coordinated our entire event, and everything was perfect. She was incredibly organized, and didn't miss a single detail. All of the minor issues we had the day of were non Aberdeen related. Denna walked us through everything, making sure dresses were purchased on time, assuring that I kept consistent in my color choices, and with the overall look I was going for. She was incredibly attentive, and didn't miss a beat. The poor woman had her gallbladder removed two weeks before our wedding, and was still present, and had everything under control that day! I was and still am amazed by her!\r\rThe hall was set up perfectly when I arrived before the ceremony, it was more than I could ever have hoped for. It literally took my breathe away. The food was delicious, and the staff was beyond amazing! There was no waiting around for them to get things done like I've experienced as a guest at other venues, everything happened exactly as it should have, and they were very friendly and attentive. \r\rAberdeen isn't just a venue, it's an experience. Denna and Jim Fyock (the owners) make you feel like part of the family, and do everything they can to make sure your day is perfect. I couldn't be more thankful to them and the entire Aberdeen staff!

There is SO much I can say about the Aberdeen. After having been yanked on a leash by the Michigan City, IN venue, The Way, just to have them tell us they couldn't host our wedding date. My Husband and I decided to take a look at the Aberdeen. I was floored. I was so glad we didn’t stay with the other venue. They are nothing compared to the Aberdeen! The Aberdeen didn't have the original date we were looking for, or any Saturday's open (Bummer) but we decided to pick one in their 'off' season dates, as well as a Friday date. Picking one in their off season dates meant there was a discount off of their rental fee and even a little more of a discount for it being a Friday! SWEET! When you choose to have your event at the Aberdeen, you get the Aberdeen. This means you get full range of their grounds and staff for your event, even their on site Chapel. You even get to use any of their select center pieces for FREE! They have several different add ons you can utilize as well. We chose to do uplighting around the room, as well as the crystal curtan behind the head table. You really can make it your own. They go through all the details with you when you sit down. You can even meet with them however many times you want to, or email. They make sure that when your big day arrives, that everything is perfect and stress free. They even have a snow machine to make it snow for your first dance, which was also included only for the first dance. If you wanted to use it any other time, it's an additional fee. We used that for our first dance, and our pictures turned out AMAZING! I'm very big about cleanliness, so when we toured the grounds, I asked to see the kitchen. They were surprised I wanted to see it, but obliged. Let me tell you......That kitchen looked like it was just built! EXTREMLY clean. It was like in a movie where everything sparkled! Ha-ha. There is SO much I can say about the Aberdeen. After having been yanked on a leash by the Michigan City, IN venue, The Way, just to have them tell us they couldn't host our wedding date. My Husband and I decided to take a look at the Aberdeen. I was floored. I was so glad we didn’t stay with the other venue. They are nothing compared to the Aberdeen! The Aberdeen didn't have the original date we were looking for, or any Saturday's open (Bummer) but we decided to pick one in their 'off' season dates, as well as a Friday date. Picking one in their off season dates meant there was a discount off of their rental fee and even a little more of a discount for it being a Friday! SWEET! When you choose to have your event at the Aberdeen, you get the Aberdeen. This means you get full range of their grounds and staff for your event, even their on site Chapel. You even get to use any of their select center pieces for FREE! They have several different add ons you can utilize as well. We chose to do uplighting around the room, as well as the crystal curtan behind the head table. You really can make it your own. They go through all the details with you when you sit down. You can even meet with them however many times you want to, or email. They make sure that when your big day arrives, that everything is perfect and stress free. They even have a snow machine to make it snow for your first dance, which was also included only for the first dance. If you wanted to use it any other time, it's an additional fee. We used that for our first dance, and our pictures turned out AMAZING! I'm very big about cleanliness, so when we toured the grounds, I asked to see the kitchen. They were surprised I wanted to see it, but obliged. Let me tell you......That kitchen looked like it was just built! EXTREMLY clean. It was like in a movie where everything sparkled! Ha-ha. Overall having our wedding at Aberdeen Manor was a great experience. The ability to have our ceremony and reception at the same location made the evening run seamlessly and was easy for our guests. The garden where we got married was beautifully groomed and was the perfect setting. The ballroom was absolutely gorgeous as well! There were so many options for decorating so that we could make it truly our own. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful. We had a lot of \"do it yourself\" stuff that they set up for us in addition to their in-house decor. A few things were not executed the way we had communicated to the staff that we would like done and I would avoid the DJ they recommend and prefer you use at all costs (Trans Audio), but other than that it was an absolutely magical experience and we were so happy with the outcome!

The title sums it up. The venue itself was beautiful! There were gardens for an outdoor ceremony or a chapel in case it rained. The ballroom was gorgeous! I would have booked in a heartbeat except the beautiful venue couldn't make up for the pushy staff. They gave me very little freedom in planning our wedding day. They were very pushy about doing photos with my groom prior to the ceremony which was NOT an option. I didn't want him to see me before the ceremony but they insisted \"this is the best way to do it.\" I wanted to have my ceremony & reception there and they were not open to the idea of have photos done during cocktail hour of the reception. The more I tried to explain myself, the more I found myself defending the type of wedding I wanted. I did not think I needed to do this. At the end of the day, if you are ok with some one telling you how your wedding must be, then it's worth. The venue itself is gorgeous!

I'm so glad I made the decision to have it there. Schedule an appointment to visit their beautiful chapel, garden, and ballroom! The owners are so welcoming and really work hard to make it \"your day!\" I went there numerous times to visit and participate in the tastings, and the staff was always very accomodating. Aberdeen was more than we could ask for. They are pricey, but after pricing around other vendors, it came out to be about the same and the venue was just beautiful. I was so relaxed on my wedding day because everything is taken care of. We had a tornado come into Valparaiso...but we still were able to move the ceremony inside without any problems. It was such a smooth transition. It is perfect for those that want to get married outside, but need that backup plan just in case it rains (or tornados come!)
