Tappan Hill Mansion is a historic wedding venue located in the rolling hills of Tarrytown, NY. Situated on the former estate of Mark Twain, this hilltop property overlooks the Hudson River and Palisades and is just 45 minutes from midtown Manhattan. The ornate stone manor is tranquil and secluded while remaining conveniently accessible to the tri-state area. Couples are invited to host their momentous occasions at this private mansion and enjoy the charms of the Hudson Valley countryside. Tappan Hill Mansion accommodates both grand affairs and intimate weddings. The Pavilion Room can host up to 250 guests and features a reception room adorned with exposed stone, draping ceilings, and sweeping windows. After looking at 15 vendors we decided to go with Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill and couldn’t be happier. Vanessa was our event coordinator and helped us throughout the planning process and day of event. Everything was great from the cocktail hour up until the end. The staff was constantly around helping to make sure all of the signs and extras we had were set up in the right locations. They accommodated our special requests and our wedding ran smoothly! After the event a lot of our guests said how great the food was and we included a cigar bar for guests to enjoy the outside grounds as well which was a hit!

An absolutely exceptional venue! The scenery is iconic in all weather (the fall foliage was remarkable even though it was in the 40s on our wedding day and the staff took care of us to make sure we got our outdoor pictures), the interior and ballrooms are phenomenal - large, well-kept and perfect for a party - and fun, and the staff is absolutely amazing. They made wedding planning a breeze and made sure our day was absolutely perfect. If you get the choice, Vanessa Woodbury was a total superstar as our wedding coordinator and kept all of our vendors, our boisterous guests and our large families on track and partying the whole day. So easy to work with and so fun, Tappan Hill is just the perfect place to get married. We cannot recommend them enough!

An absolutely exceptional venue! Flawless, magnificent, beautiful, detail oriented and picturesque are a few descriptive words that I would use to describe the interactions with the team and venue at Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill. From the first time my family and I interfaced with Caitlin, through the planing and execution process with Vanessa, sheer delight was the feeling that we experienced. My father-in-law has done events on many continents and he said that few compare to the attention to detail and swift responses that we received from Vanessa and our team. Mind you, this wedding was planned from beginning to end in 2 months. The bride and groom were in California, the parents of the groom were in Cape Cod and the parents of the bride were in China. The custom timeline, the yes I can attitude and the uniqueness of the venue made for a very classy family and friends oriented evening. What we particularly enjoyed was that the event was staged at three different locations at the venue. A gorgeous outdoor environment for the ceremony, an upstairs somewhat intimate turreted room for the cocktail hour with views of the Hudson and an elegant reception in a sun filled ballroom. The whimsical florals were done by Ashley at Damselfly Designs lent an avant garden, trendy ethereal feel to the evening. DJ Ross from Hank Lane Music kept everyone on their feet with a dance vibe that was well executed. The appetizers and food would make any 5 star restaurant jealous of the made to order quality and execution. Many of the quests remarked that it was some of the best food that they have had at an event. And trust me, these guests are quite discerning. The wine selection served, totally complimented the meals and met with the most discerning palates. Ending with a spectacular sparkler exit truly capped off a wonderful evening. The staff was over the top. Each table had their own very capable and friendly wait staff. They went over and above. The bartenders were great and churned out the drink of the evening, “lychee martinis “ and a myriad of other drinks with ease and professionalism. Everyone, without exception, did a stellar job. My Bridal attendant Merelene (sorry I don’t know how to spell her name) was always there to lend helping hand no matter what the task. Vanessa thanks for acting as a brilliant choreographer to create the wedding of my dreams. You truly are an expert at your job. You can feel the love and care that you put into your efforts to create a truly personal memorable experience for each bride.

Tappan Hill provides a super high-end wedding experience! I cannot say enough good things about this venue, but I will list the highlights. First, they are so incredibly organized. Our coordinator at the venue always answered emails promptly and helped immensely with every tiny detail. For example, we had a catering delivery of cookies to the venue on the wedding day, and all I had to do was send the delivery guy our Tappan Hill coordinator's phone number. She handled everything else seamlessly so all I saw was the final set up at the end of the wedding. I had so much less stress on the wedding day and leading up to the wedding because I was confident that Tappan Hill knew what they were doing to a T.Second, they will treat you like VIPs. It was clear that we were our coordinator's #1 priority. We also had a bridal attendant who was always there to grab us water, drinks, and make sure we could try every piece of food. She even helped me use the restroom (which is hard in a wedding dress!) and put my hair up toward the end of the night. It sounds like a small thing, but I told her I was sweaty and wanted my hair up and she immediately sprung into action, finding me hair ties and hair spray and doing my hair so well that guests thought it was actually a planned second hair style for the night. Third, you can't beat their food. Every plate we had was delicious. We got so many compliments from guests saying it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. There are so many fun cake flavors to choose from too!To sum up, this is an absolutely stunning venue with so many different places to take gorgeous pictures, a super professional and buttoned-up staff that will treat you like royalty, and exceptional food! Beautiful venue, perfect day!We were blown away by the beauty of Tappan Hill when we went to visit the venue for the first time. We all knew this was the place. They have a beautiful reception hall lined with windows for the cocktail hour, and a beautiful outdoor area overlooking the Hudson river. The reception hall is also very nice and lined with wall-length windows. From beginning to end we had a great experience. Our wedding venue coordinator, Vanessa, was on point with making our day perfect. She ran through the plans for the day beforehand, did a quick run-through of the ceremony the day of, and made sure every part of our wedding ran without a hitch. All of our guests were blown away by the beauty of the venue, and we were able to get amazing pictures we'll treasure for the rest of our lives. I would recommend Tappan Hill to anyone who wants a special and memorable wedding day.

The venue space is immaculate and the food is insanely good (actually shockingly good for wedding food).From the second we toured the venue with Caitlin Lennox and signed our contract 18 months ago, we knew we were in good hands, but we could have never imagined it would be as perfect as it was.Tappan Hill made the wedding planning process a breeze- they were able to accommodate every detail we hoped for, and even added things we couldn’t even dream of.In the weeks leading up to our big day we were paired up with our day-of coordinator, Vanessa Woodbury- who is kind, calm, and the most organized person ever. She runs a tight ship, but put our experience above everything. She was an absolute pleasure to work with and was excellent at communicating with us. We had our wedding at Tappan Hill in April and could not be happier with how everything turned out. Everyone we worked with from the sales team to the day of event manager was nothing short of incredible. Our day of event manager was John, who was an absolute delight! We handled my hundreds of questions with grace, was so calm and poised and made sure that all our asks were taken care of. The venue itself is GORGEOUS, we had a fairly rainy wedding day and even with that, our photos looked like we were in a fairy tale and people could not stop raving about the beauty of the mansion. On top of that, the food was absolutely incredible - we got rave reviews from our guests on how amazing the food was at both cocktail hour and dinner. Could not have asked for a better wedding venue!

Tappan Hill is a cut above the rest. We were married on a perfect mid-November day at Tappan Hill - it was truly the best day of our lives. My wife and I were engaged in July of 2021 and began looking at venues primarily in Long Island, as that's where we are from. After visiting about 10 venues, we never had the 'feeling' that we were looking for. So, we decided to visit TH in September of 2021. Upon arriving, we both were stunned with how beautiful both Tarrytown as well as the actual grounds of TH was. We had seen nothing like it before and we were hooked on the beautiful property. The cocktail room is amazing with floor-ceiling windows overlooking the gorgeous well-kept grounds and Hudson River. The reception hall is no different with a very classy setting with the same views. Our guide, Caitlin, was so nice throughout the entire experience, and we were delighted to hear that November 2022 dates were available. Upon leaving, they provided us with a parting gift, which was a very nice touch considering we didn't book the venue. But, all of these experiences left an impact on us such that we put a hold on our date within hours of leaving TH (Caitlin was not pushy in any way and allowed us to \"hold\" the date). After a week, we decided to commit. We were so happy, and this began our year+ wait! Fast forward to mid-July to our tasting, and it was one of the best nights of our summer. Upon arriving we were treated like royalty, as the night was similar to a wedding reception. All of the staff were amazing and extremely friendly. But, the food, and let me emphasize, was truly amazing. We were blown away by the quality, taste, portion sizes, and presentation . This was a huge relief and we left ecstatic for our big day rapidly approaching.During the early fall months we were then introduced to our event Manager, Vanessa, who would be with us on the day of our wedding. She was very nice and guided us through the process and left us feeling like she had everything under control, which was great to feel. We met with Vanessa a total of three times, and in the background, Vanessa coordinated with our vendors and took care of the fine tuning details. On the day of the wedding, we arrived early to take pictures at the venue. Vanessa and our bridal attendant, Savannah, greeted us and followed the wedding party around making sure that we had everything we needed. They provided snacks and drinks as well, which was unexpected but so nice. At one point my wife's dress got fairly dirty from the wet grounds (it rained at night). But, I've never seen such dedication by Savannah and the staff to clean her dress to be spotless - it was incredible and we knew we were in good hands. Once we returned from the mass, we attended our cocktail hour which was perfect. The food was spectacular and the room was decorated beautifully. Upon entering the reception, were so taken aback by the beauty of the venue - it was exactly how we dreamed it to be. The whole night was perfect from here on out - the staff, the food, the general service. All perfect. When the night was over, we had our guests coming up to us telling us how our wedding was the best ever that they ever went to (on multiple occasions!). We attribute a huge part of that to TH - it truly is a top notch venue. We're so happy to have had the best day of our lives here; we couldn't have imagined anything different. It was truly perfect. Don't hesitate - book this venue if you can!

The cocktail room is amazing with floor-ceiling windows overlooking the gorgeous well-kept grounds and Hudson River. The reception hall is no different with a very classy setting with the same views. Our guide, Caitlin, was so nice throughout the entire experience, and we were delighted to hear that November 2022 dates were available. Upon leaving, they provided us with a parting gift, which was a very nice touch considering we didn't book the venue. But, all of these experiences left an impact on us such that we put a hold on our date within hours of leaving TH (Caitlin was not pushy in any way and allowed us to \"hold\" the date). After a week, we decided to commit. We were so happy, and this began our year+ wait! Fast forward to mid-July to our tasting, and it was one of the best nights of our summer. Upon arriving we were treated like royalty, as the night was similar to a wedding reception. All of the staff were amazing and extremely friendly. But, the food, and let me emphasize, was truly amazing. We were blown away by the quality, taste, portion sizes, and presentation . This was a huge relief and we left ecstatic for our big day rapidly approaching.During the early fall months we were then introduced to our event Manager, Vanessa, who would be with us on the day of our wedding. She was very nice and guided us through the process and left us feeling like she had everything under control, which was great to feel. We met with Vanessa a total of three times, and in the background, Vanessa coordinated with our vendors and took care of the fine tuning details. On the day of the wedding, we arrived early to take pictures at the venue. Vanessa and our bridal attendant, Savannah, greeted us and followed the wedding party around making sure that we had everything we needed. They provided snacks and drinks as well, which was unexpected but so nice. At one point my wife's dress got fairly dirty from the wet grounds (it rained at night). But, I've never seen such dedication by Savannah and the staff to clean her dress to be spotless - it was incredible and we knew we were in good hands. Once we returned from the mass, we attended our cocktail hour which was perfect. The food was spectacular and the room was decorated beautifully. Upon entering the reception, were so taken aback by the beauty of the venue - it was exactly how we dreamed it to be. The whole night was perfect from here on out - the staff, the food, the general service. All perfect. When the night was over, we had our guests coming up to us telling us how our wedding was the best ever that they ever went to (on multiple occasions!). We attribute a huge part of that to TH - it truly is a top notch venue. We're so happy to have had the best day of our lives here; we couldn't have imagined anything different. It was truly perfect. Don't hesitate - book this venue if you can!

She was incredibly informative and made us feel at ease with questions around such an important decision. Over the course of our ~15 months of planning she was always available to answer questions for us. We were introduced to John, the best possible event coordinator we could've imagined. We worked with John for only about two months prior to the wedding but he helped us accomplish over a years worth of work to perfection in that time frame. The other Caitlin was my wife's bridal attendant and she was beyond spectacular and we felt like we had a close friend by our side throughout the day. The food is so good that you can't even believe you're at a wedding and the amount of compliments we got from our guests about how good the entire staff was can't be stated enough. It was 70 degrees in November on our wedding day and I know you can't control the weather but part of me chooses to believe the entire team at Abigail Kirsch was able to make that possible, too!

Tappan Hill was our favorite choice and now having gotten married there a week and a half ago, I can't say enough how happy we are we chose Tappan Hill Mansion. From the incredible food, to the scenary, to the amazing staff, Tappan Hill goes above and beyond to ensure your wedding day is perfect. Robert, who we started working with a few months ahead of our wedding regarding catering details and pretty much every other detail was so easy to work with and so responsive to every email I sent him leading up to the wedding. I started to get very stressed in the weeks leading up to the wedding as some of our guests canceled due to covid or sick children etc. Robert was so helpful and left me feeling confident despite all the last minute changes. You don't realize how important it is to have dedicated reliable staff until those final chaotic weeks leading up to your wedding day. Our day of attendant was a young woman named Caitlin. She was also incredible - from helping bustle my dress to always ensuring I had food and a drink in hand, she went above and beyond to make sure my husband and I had everything we needed on our wedding day. Circling back to the food, guests told me it was the best food they had ever had at a wedding. A lot of our guests are in their 30s/40s so these were people who had been to a lot of weddings at this point. I just can't say enough good things about Tappan Hill Mansion, how amazing all the staff is and how happy I am my husband and I got married there. It was truly a dream.

When we started looking at wedding venues, my husband and I really had no idea where to start. We were located in a different country, and weren’t sure we would even be able to visit the venue before the wedding took place. Luckily we found Tappan Hill, and they had a date that perfectly matched our needs. Caitlin in the sales team was absolutely fantastic talking us through everything in the beginning, and explaining all the details. Since we live in a different country, we sent my parents on tours and included them on all calls, and Caitlin was wonderful about making sure they were always in the loop. She was also great at helping us navigate planning during a pandemic and making sure we felt comfortable every step of the way. When we met Jason who would be our coordinator, his calm demeanor assured us he would have everything under control. He answered all our questions, but where Tappan Hill really blew us away was the actual wedding. The entire day ran so smoothly, it was like a dream. Everyone always says something will go wrong on your wedding day, but Tappan Hill has everything down to a science. They have two separate ballrooms, but don’t worry, you won’t even realize there is another event going on! Everyone was so friendly, and I also can’t speak highly enough of Marleny the bridal attendant! She was incredibly attentive, and even got a box of leftovers from cocktail hour made up for my husband to take home! The food was absolutely incredible, and really exceeded our expectations (which were already high to begin with just from looking at the pictures!). I should also note we pulled heavily from their seasoned vendors list, and were equally impressed with everyone we hired off of it. We absolutely loved our wedding at Tappan Hill, and are already recommending it to all of our engaged friends.

From our initial meeting with Caitlin to guiding us through postponement with Covid to finally having the wedding of our dreams, everyone at Tappan went above and beyond. My husband and I got married at Tappan Hill in Oct 2021, rescheduled from Oct 2020. From the very first day we toured the venue, to working with us through COVID to reschedule, to the couple months leading up to and the day of our wedding, Caitlin was an absolute pleasure to work with. She is prompt, responsive, helpful, thoughtful, SO GOOD AT HER JOB, and just amazing, period. Marleny was my bridal attendant the day of the wedding and just took care of not just me and my husband, but our families too. She was always there anticipating our next move and I genuinely don't know how she managed to be in so many places at once. I got so many compliments on not only the food (duh), but even the service that the waiters provided! I can't remember ever going to a wedding and complimenting the waiter and multiple people came up to me and told me how amazing theirs was.Long story short, don't hesitate to hire AK (lucky you if you get Caitlin :)) - they were so understanding during COVID, and they ultimately made our day just perfect through and through. My husband and I got married at Tappan Hill in August 2021. Due to Covid, we had to postpone twice, from September 2020 to May 2021 and then finally to August. The Tappan Hill Mansion team made these unfortunate postponements go as seamlessly as possible. I don't even know where to begin in describing the experience my husband and I had at Tappan Hill. Not only is this venue absolutely stunning, but the professionalism of the staff from start to finish was on another level. We knew we were in the best hands from day one when working with Melissa in sales. She is absolutely fantastic, so responsive, accommodating, and kind. We loved working with her as we started the wedding planning process and she made everything so easy for us. We then worked with Paul as our events manager and cannot sing his praises loudly enough! Paul was WONDERFUL! He responded immediately to our nonstop emails and questions, accommodated our every ask and then some, and did it all with a huge smile and wonderful attitude. The last month before our wedding was pretty stressful! And Paul made it FUN! He was so trust-worthy and helped us (me) calm down a bit. And this doesn't even cover the wedding day. Paul truly came through with flying colors. Every tiny detail and step in the day was handled flawlessly. We didn't even have to bat an eye or ask a thing - Paul was 10 steps ahead of us and took care of EVERYTHING! You name it, Paul already had it covered. From being there to pull our chairs out any time we sat down to cleaning up the bridal suite, organizing all of our personal items, bringing us dinner and drinks, to adjusting the temperature of the room, it was the most seamlessly executed evening - and so many people noticed and commented. Thank you Paul! Next: the food. Abigail Kirsch catering did not disappoint. We had a huge amount of guests tell us it was the best wedding food they've ever had. We did station-style vegetarian food, and no one even missed meat - this food was THAT good! They also breezed through accommodating our other dietary restrictions and were beyond helpful. Finally, we invited close to 280 guests to our wedding and ended up with around 215 and never once did we worry about the space feeling too tight. The layout was configured perfectly and Paul knew exactly how to place the larger tables vs smaller tables to keep the flow of the room at its best. Choosing this venue was the best wedding planning decision we could have made and I wish we could do it all over again.

We can't say enough good things about Tappan Hill. They truly know how to put on a great wedding and take care of a lot of the logistics and small details that less sophisticated venues leave for the couple to handle. Paul, the event manager, worked with us to create a menu and a timeline and he basically handled the rest letting us enjoy the wedding stress free. From the very first time we visited the venue we knew that we would be in good hands there. They anticipate your needs before you even realize it. All they care about is making sure you are taken care of and are having a good time.Not only is the venue run like a well-oiled machine, but they look good doing it. TH Mansion is a breath-taking space. The ceremony takes place on a beautiful outdoor patio that has that \"wow factor\" we were looking for, and the cocktail hour and reception rooms are stunning as well. That ceiling with the twinkle lights is so romantic. Even with all that, what really stands out most about Tappan Hill is the food. Everything was absolutely fantastic and all anyone could talk about after the wedding. That's because TH gives all other wedding venues a run for their money by offering elegant, delicious, and creative food. When a standard venue serves bacon-wrapped scallops, TH serves smoked scallop sates with sesame ginger glaze. If we weren't so busy on the dance floor having the time of our lives, we just would have sat at our table all night stuffing our faces. We'd highly recommend!

I'm generally a very anxious person, especially with planning, but honestly I felt no worries with this process because every little detail was taken care of and addressed by the Abigail Kirsh team. Any concerns I had pre-wedding were addressed immediately. During the wedding, any time I needed something it's like Paul knew and just appeared out of nowhere to help. I am seriously blown away with how smoothly everything went. Even at the end of the night, all of our things were carefully packed up ,.ready to go, and waiting for us before we even had a chance to ask. Also, I obviously can't forget to mention that the food is STELLAR and my guests are still reaching out to compliment it. If you're on the fence between Tappan Hill and somewhere else, I wholeheartedly 100% suggest you go with Tappan Hill. You won't regret it, I promise.

Truly such an amazing wedding venue with an even more amazing team! Our wedding could not have gone better. We had the honor of working with Melisa Weiss initially who was fantastic. She was friendly, engaging, approachable & warm. We definitely e-mailed her quite a bit those first few months after booking the venue and she always got back to us right away. She gave excellent advice and answered our questions promptly and genuinely. She was wonderful. We then had the pleasure of working with Paul Richards as our day of coordinator and he was fantastic. He truly made the wedding day perfect. We felt no stress on the actual day and we know he is to thank for that. He anticipated our every need before we had to ask and was warm and kind to us and our loved ones. I swear he anticipated me sitting down and had my chair pushed out to accommodate my rather big ball gown every time I went back to my table! He was marvelous and the staff was amazing. They were friendly and super efficient. The food was outstanding and to this day our friends and family can't stop talking about how it was the best wedding they've been to. What a fantastic memory. Thanks Tappan Hill and all of your amazing staff- we wouldn't' change a thing!

From the moment we expressed interest in Tappan Hill, we experienced a level of unmatched service, specifically from the responsiveness and knowledge of the sales manager Caitlin as well as our phenomenal Event Coordinator Eddie.Eddie was new to AK this year (but not to the industry, as he's a seasoned pro!) and we were unbelievably lucky to have been assigned him. He was absolutely flawless. FLAWLESS. I had been planning my wedding, like most do, for a long time, and I was anxious meeting him to oversee the event . However, Eddie assured me that he would handle the rest as soon as we were in his care (you usually meet with your Event Coordinator about 8-10 wks before the wedding which I initially thought wasn't enough time. Wrong! Abigail Kirsch runs a tight ship--that's all you need with them). Eddie made it clear from our first email chains together that his job was to make the planning process easier for us and boy did he deliver. He was patient and responsive, even when he didn't have to be, and I will forever be grateful for that extra level of service. I truly believed we were in good hands with Eddie, and the day I dreamed about would go the way I envisioned. With Eddie's help all my details shone beautifully on the day. In fact, the florist's assistant put the extra fresh flowers on our cake (which we didn't ask for) and when I spotted it during the reception, Eddie offered to remove them all and sure enough, I saw someone carefully smoothing out the fondant to return my cake back to my original vision!Literally no one else could calm me as the forecast predicted showers--except Eddie, who promised he would hold off as long as possible before making the decision to switch the ceremony inside. He committed to helping us get the ceremony we dreamed of, and the weather held out just long enough for us to enjoy the breathtaking views of the Hudson. To top it off, when the ring bearers brawled over the one ring pillow as the result of a miscommunication which left us a ring box short, Eddie took his own wedding ring off his finger and gave it to our 3 year-old nephew to carry down the aisle. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT?!My incredible bridal attendant Zaira (spelling?) was my lifesaver throughout the day and kept us hydrated with both water and liquor. She even helped me unstrap my heels after our parent dances since my corset wouldn't allow me to bend down. She anticipated every need and I couldn't have survived without her.As you would expect, the food was excellent, and it was very helpful to have a few minutes in the bridal suite with my husband to eat during cocktail hour. While there was plenty of food, we opted for the taco and margarita cart at cocktail hour and are so glad that we did. Most of our guests said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding! Eddie and the chef graciously accommodated both our families with different palates and preferences. They even sent us home with wedding cake and entrees so we could enjoy after the wedding. I know that every couple says their wedding day was perfect, but we truly believe that ours was, due to the incredible efforts of Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill. We will always be grateful to Eddie and the AK Team for making our dream wedding a reality, and we absolutely recommend them going forward. Our guests still say it was the most beautiful ceremony and reception they had been to, and we have a feeling it'll be hard to beat!

Eddie and his team even reboxed our decor for us for the pick up the next morning! We really struggled to find a wedding venue, and after looking at about 20 places, someone recommended Tappan Hill. From the moment we drove up the beautiful stone mansion, I was totally in love. The mansion has so much character and beauty: the stained glass windows in the front, the stone walls, the fireplaces, the gorgeous rotunda you enter into, the views of the water. In addition to the aesthetics, anyone familiar with catering knows the name Abigail Kirsch, and with good reason. The food options are as beautiful and inventive on the plate as they are delicious. Ed was our event manager and we truly cannot say enough good things about him. From the moment we met with him, we knew that our affair would run smoothly. There is not one detail that Ed doesn't think of. He always answered emails quickly and efficiently, and never once made us feel annoying with our seemingly endless amounts of questions. He alleviated any and all stress, kept everything running on time, connected and coordinated with all of our vendors, and so much more! We really struggled to find a wedding venue, and after looking at about 20 places, someone recommended Tappan Hill. From the moment we drove up the beautiful stone mansion, I was totally in love. The mansion has so much character and beauty: the stained glass windows in the front, the stone walls, the fireplaces, the gorgeous rotunda you enter into, the views of the water. In addition to the aesthetics, anyone familiar with catering knows the name Abigail Kirsch, and with good reason. The food options are as beautiful and inventive on the plate as they are delicious. Ed was our event manager and we truly cannot say enough good things about him. From the moment we met with him, we knew that our affair would run smoothly. There is not one detail that Ed doesn't think of. He always answered emails quickly and efficiently, and never once made us feel annoying with our seemingly endless amounts of questions. He alleviated any and all stress, kept everything running on time, connected and coordinated with all of our vendors, and so much more! Right from the start, everyone I interacted with was professional and accommodating to our every request. Our event manager, Ed, was superb! He really made everything run smoothly and it was such a pleasure to work with him throughout the entire planning process. And my husband and his family are vegetarians, and they all loved it too.Our event manager was Ed Steinberg, who we couldn't possibly say enough positive things about. He put us so at ease. He was attentive to our every request. He is personable, charming, and professional. All of the vendors loved him as well! He was honestly just the best. Couldn't have asked any more from him.Overall Tappan Hill is a superb venue. We have no complaints. Hopefully one of our friends books it too so we can go back as guests!

We cannot say enough about Paul, our day-of coordinator assigned by Tappan Hill; he made sure everything ran smoothly, built in buffer time on the day of to allow for any mishaps, stayed optimistic about the weather even as a massive rainstorm rolled in (sure enough, the storm passed and we were able to have our ceremony outside!), was unbelievably communicative and responsive before, during, and after the wedding, and really allowed us and our families to relax and enjoy the whole day. The bridal attendants were also fantastic--you know how they say you never get to eat at your own wedding? Thanks to the bridal attendants, we were extremely well-fed and well-hydrated! Thank you, Tappan Hill, for making an already amazing day just absolutely perfect!

We could not have asked for a more perfect setting for our reception than Tappan Hill Mansion. From the moment we saw their photos here on The Knot, we knew that this was where we wanted our wedding, and after visiting we were not disappointed! We were so lucky to have Ed Steinberg as our event manager, and he went above and beyond to make sure our day went smoothly! From the moment we met with him to choose our menu to our final meeting with him the week of our wedding, we knew that we would be in good hands. Ed made sure that all of our toasts, special dances, speeches and cake cutting were right on schedule, and let us know throughout the night exactly what would be happening next. While there was no food tasting, it didn't matter because Abigail Kirsch is just that good! I guarantee that no one will be going home hungry! The cocktail hour was phenomenal and the dinner was even better. Our guests were raving all night, and we had multiple people tell us that they felt like they were at a five star restaurant instead of a wedding! Tappan Hill far exceeded our expectations and we could not have asked for anything better for our wedding day!

I truly cannot express what an incredible venue Tappan Hill is! The beauty of the location, the professionalism of the staff, and the quality of the food is unsurpassed. From the moment my husband and I set foot in Tappan Hill, we knew it was the venue of our dreams. We fell in love with the history (it was Mark Twain's former estate) and the beautiful location along the Hudson. It was also an easy 45 minute drive from downtown Manhattan, where our ceremony was held. While we had never been to a wedding at an Abigail Kirsch location, we had heard from many of our friends that the food was the best they'd ever had at a wedding. All these things put together meant that booking our wedding at Tappan Hill was a no brainer- and it was the best decision we could have made!Ed Steinberg was our event coordinator and he was truly outstanding. Working with him was a real pleasure- he was so thorough, professional, and thoughtful in his recommendations to create the perfect menu and timeline. The day of the wedding, Ed worked quietly behind the scenes to make sure that everything ran absolutely perfectly. He was able to triage everything so that my husband and I were able to enjoy every single moment of our reception- I didn't feel even for a second that I had anything to worry about, Ed had everything 100% under control. That feeling was the greatest gift we could have asked for. On top of that, everyone was right about the food-- it was INCREDIBLE! Tappan Hill Mansion is truly the perfect wedding venue. From the ceremony space, reception space, food to the staff, everything was perfect. Our main goal with our wedding was to provide a wonderful experience for our guests - and that's why we picked Tappan Hill! The venue is easy to get to from Westchester and NY (close to the Metro North and Sheraton / Marriott hotels nearby). There is tons of parking, including valet, and you can have the ceremony and reception in the same place! From the moment guests arrive, they can feel at home. The Tappan Hill staff was always incredibly responsive, and our event coordinator, Ed, was a true professional. He is a wedding expert, and asked all of the right questions ahead of time, so everything ran incredibly smoothly. He spoke with all of our vendors individually, prior to the event, and coordinated everything perfectly.The outdoor ceremony space is gorgeous, and all of the food was delicious. We picked from a PowerPoint list of all food options (unfortunately no tasting!) The cocktail hour provided lots of delicious finger food and drink. At the reception, each table gets its own waiter, and the staff is very accommodating with allergies and dietary restrictions. Everything ran smoothly with the event setup (thanks to Ed and the staff, we didn't have to think about anything!) and the event was seamless as well. Most importantly, all of our guests had a fabulous time! Many said it was the best wedding they ever attended!

Tappan Hill Mansion is truly the perfect wedding venue. From the ceremony space, reception space, food to the staff, everything was perfect. Our main goal with our wedding was to provide a wonderful experience for our guests - and that's why we picked Tappan Hill! The venue is easy to get to from Westchester and NY (close to the Metro North and Sheraton / Marriott hotels nearby). There is tons of parking, including valet, and you can have the ceremony and reception in the same place! From the moment guests arrive, they can feel at home. The Tappan Hill staff was always incredibly responsive, and our event coordinator, Ed, was a true professional. He is a wedding expert, and asked all of the right questions ahead of time, so everything ran incredibly smoothly. He spoke with all of our vendors individually, prior to the event, and coordinated everything perfectly.The outdoor ceremony space is gorgeous, and all of the food was delicious. Of course Tappan Hill is stunning, both inside and out, and the professionalism that goes along with having an Abigail Kirsch venue means that you will have the very best food, staff and event know-how, but Ed was the one who made all of the details and planning come to life in the most amazing and perfect way possible.He was our event manager as he was true to his word when he said that \"he would take care of everything on our wedding day\"! He was always five steps ahead and somehow made sure that I was taken care of with warmth and clarity and that everyone in my bridal party, my family, my groom and his family, were all attended to, guided and helped in every possible way they needed.Along with Ed, I must highlight the incredibly delicious food! The service was outstanding and each employee was wonderful. The food was excellent and there were some fantastic choices. Our guests raved about it! Our event manager, Paul Richards was superb. He made everything go extremely smoothly and there was not one thing that was left undone. Any request made, he made happen! He was the reason our wedding was so fabulous! They have weddings down to a science so no detail gets overlooked. \r\rPaul, our coordinator was great to work with and kept all of the vendors organized, I had absolutely nothing to worry about the day of the wedding besides enjoying time with friends and family.\r\rAlso the food was fabulous all of my guest commented on how great the food was. \r\rMy only 2 critiques are:\r- If you are bride who doesn't really knows what you want, i.e you haven't been to a ton of weddings there are lot of choices to make and it can be overwhelming, Paul was great but a lot of times he would go through things faster than I could handle because I just had no idea what he was talking about. \r- We went through an outside vendor for our cake(they gave us a credit), I thought their designs were boring, while they said they could so something more elaborate for a fee they won't let you talk to the bakers directly to establish your idea before quoting you.

Best day of our lives, largely thanks to Tappan Hill!

We had our reception at Tappan Hill, we loved the views and the beautiful detail in the mansion and most of all had heard wonderful things about the Food! Paul was our Event Manager and so wonderful to work with. Once we were within 2 months of our wedding we met with Paul to go over details and menu, etc. It was so comforting how organized and on top of things he was. He made sure we were happy with everything and followed up with us here and there to make sure there was nothing else we needed. On our wedding day he made sure we were able to get to our cocktail hour and had everything we needed. During the reception he was always accessible in case we needed everything. Such wonderful service! I can't even begin to talk about the food, but the fact that we have family members calling a month later to tell us how good the food was, should tell it all. My only recommendation would be to make sure someone gets you a plate of food from the cocktail hour so you don't miss out on all of the amazing food you picked. They will handle it, they will make it incredible, they will take the stress away. And they will never tell you something is impossible. Ever. \r\rTappan Hill is expensive but it's worth every penny. Since our wedding multiple people have told us how incredible the food was (\"most delicious wedding food ever!\" is a common refrain) and the setting, service, and preparation were impeccable. \r\rPart of choosing Tappan was for the outdoor, river & valley setting, but we got a rainy day. The setup in the main ball room was so beautifully done that guests didn't even know it wasn't the plan and were still blown away. One piece of advice I would give though is to make sure your photographer is prepared with indoor photo plans in case of rain. Our formal pics were taken in the cocktail space and many didn't come out well. I'm sure we could have found a better spot in Tappan (the entry foyer, ball room, etc) if we'd thought to point it out. \r\rMost importantly - and if you're getting married and NOT focusing on this, you need to - Tappan's attention to detail and quality of day-of coordination is shockingly, stunningly, staggeringly high. Ed, Ed, Ed is the MAN. The first time we met with Ed Steinberg, months before the big day, we knew we were in good hands. He will have every minute, every detail consdiered, details that even crazed couples won't have thought of, and he'll have them well in hand minute by minute at Go-time. They will handle it, they will make it incredible, they will take the stress away. And they will never tell you something is impossible. Ever. \r\rTappan Hill is expensive but it's worth every penny. Since our wedding multiple people have told us how incredible the food was (\"most delicious wedding food ever!\" is a common refrain) and the setting, service, and preparation were impeccable. \r\rPart of choosing Tappan was for the outdoor, river & valley setting, but we got a rainy day. The setup in the main ball room was so beautifully done that guests didn't even know it wasn't the plan and were still blown away. One piece of advice I would give though is to make sure your photographer is prepared with indoor photo plans in case of rain. Our formal pics were taken in the cocktail space and many didn't come out well. I'm sure we could have found a better spot in Tappan (the entry foyer, ball room, etc) if we'd thought to point it out. \r\rMost importantly - and if you're getting married and NOT focusing on this, you need to - Tappan's attention to detail and quality of day-of coordination is shockingly, stunningly, staggeringly high. Ed, Ed, Ed is the MAN. The first time we met with Ed Steinberg, months before the big day, we knew we were in good hands. He will have every minute, every detail consdiered, details that even crazed couples won't have thought of, and he'll have them well in hand minute by minute at Go-time. The space for the cocktail hour is lovely and spacious, as opposed to many other venues that herd you onto a small patio. We could not have been more pleased with the quality and quantity of the food- both were just right.\rWe worked with Gabe as our event manager, and he was the best! Our November 2012 Wedding at Tappan Hill was amazing! Our guests had an incredible time, and raved about the food and the experience. The Cookies and Cream Cake may have been the best thing I have ever eaten...ever...it was soooo good. It is worth mentioning that I have a severe nut allergy, and Tappan Hill made sure that I felt safe eating every dish at the wedding. The grounds themselves were gorgeous, and there were plenty of great places to take pictures. The transition of our indoor ceremony space to our reception space was flawless, and they did succeed at making the same space look different, which was very important to us. I should note that they have an amazing outdoor space as well for the ceremony, and it was our choice to use the indoor location. \r\rWe had Gabe as our personal consultant. On the day of the wedding, he made sure that everything ran without a hitch, anticipating our every need, and ensuring that all of our expectations were met. Prior to the day of we were not as confident that it would run as smoothly. While Gabe was great in our personal meetings with him, he seemed to miss some of the finer details when talking on the phone or communicating by email, resulting in us sometimes having to repeat our requests. First and foremost, our event manager Ed deserves all the credit. After the Nor'easter my salon lost power and I couldn't get my hair done as planned. Ed opened up Tappan Hill early so my hairdresser could work there. From that moment on everything was flawless. Our friends and family still comment on how beautiful the setting was and how AMAZING the food was. The Pavilion room is one of few venues with windows in the reception hall, which was important to us. Another perk of Tappan Hill is the vendors eat for no cost. Other venues charge half price but that can add up with a large band, etc. Bottom line, beautiful setting, amazing food, and very attentive staff - you won't be disappointed!

We got married the eve before the hurricane and Tappan Hill made sure our wedding ran without a hiccup- even when we had to remove several tables a few hours ahead of time when a number of our guests couldn't make it. Ed ( our wedding coordinator)was fabulos. When our Rabbi cancelled on us the day of- Ed found us another Rabbi that day to marry us. The food was great, the service was superb, and I had the time of my life. I highly recommend Tappan Hill. Our only dispointment was that they were not so accomodating when we requested a refund for the guests that couldn't make it. We understand that it was a hurricane but we really hoped that Tappan Hill would have been more accomodating for this very unusual situation.

The black code entree that we chose was sooo good - better than dishes I've had at high-end restaurants. How they cook everything so perfectly for so many people at one time is beyond me. I've never had food this good at any wedding that I've been to, so I'm happy that the best food I've had was served at mine. :) And desserts? c'MON! My friend went into the kitchen to congratulate the chef - that's how good everything was. Okay onto other topics. The staff, which includes our wedding coordinator and all other staff during the event, were phenomenal. We felt so taken care of, and all of our guests raved about how friendly the staff were. They made everything run smoothly, and I was able to let go during the event.\r\rA few points that are important to know - the evening parties start at 7pm in the large ballroom (no earlier unless there's nothing going on that afternoon), and they require you to choose 1 of 4 florists on their vendor list. You are not restricted for your other vendors.

After months of searching for our wedding venue we decided to pick Abigail Kirsch at Tappan Hill. We wanted to have a worry-free wedding day and the level of service from Abigail Kirsch gave us very high confidence, not to mention that Tappan Hill Mansion is such a beautiful place with a classy style that we are sure our guests would appreciate. We are so happy that we made this choice as everything on our wedding day went absolutely perfect! Our event manager Kathy was incredible. The weather was very unpredictable that day with forecast of thunderstorm right at the time of our ceremony. I was so surprised to find out that the staff actually set up both indoor and outdoor space and Kathy absolutely waited until the last moment to make a call on where to direct our guests. During all this time we were busy with our photographer to have family photos taken and Kathy was so calm and made us not worry about anything. I am very impressed with her as she is definitely on top of everything and extremely pleasant to work with. The food and service are both top-notch and we received so much compliments from our guests and they all raved about the food - from the cocktail to dinner everything matches their 5-star reputation. We cannot be more pleased, and at the end we had a stress-free day and could totally enjoy it. I will not hesitate to recommend Abigail Kirsch to anyone and Kathy is absolutely the best!

Everything was excellent. Raves about the food - especially the dessert, which our guests still bring up a year after the wedding. Venue was elegant and well put together.
