Above, Staten Island’s Rooftop Wedding Venue
Above is a sophisticated rooftop wedding venue located in Staten Island, NY, connected to the Hilton Garden Inn. Newlyweds can enjoy a breath of fresh air atop the wraparound open-air terrace while enjoying luxurious amenities and stunning views of the New York City skyline. Fire pits, an open kitchen, striking marble furnishings, and dramatic lighting culminate to provide an unforgettable evening filled with fun memories. Professional staff is on-hand to deliver high-quality services and event management, ensuring that couples have the ultimate wedding experience. Above is located ten stories high over hotel suites. The venue is decorated with elegant contemporary decors, lending a metropolitan aesthetic to special occasions. After the ceremony, newlyweds can enjoy cocktails served fresh from the rooftop bar before moving downstairs to a sprawling ballroom with 20-foot high floor-to-ceiling windows. The ballroom offers a panoramic view of the landscape and city lights glittering outside in contrast to the bright marble flooring, an illuminated bar, and rich textiles. Every detail conspires to produce an impressive backdrop for the beautifully decorated tables and dance floor. In-house culinary staff can whip up delicious and seasonal American cuisine, made fresh from local ingredients and customized to suit couples' tastes. The menus vary, from butler-passed appetizers, small plates, and wood oven-cooked pizza buffets, to multiple courses and seated dining. The kitchen can also design and decorate a custom wedding cake and dessert table with delicious slices of white chocolate banana cream pie, lemon meringue, and strawberry shortcake. Venue rental packages can also include five hours of rental time, premium bar service, tableware, and overnight accommodation in the honeymoon suite.

Above is one of the most chic and elegant venues you can find! My husband and I got married there this September and it was an absolute dream! The venue is classy, timeless, has AMAZING food, and is very convenient when half of your wedding guests are coming from out of town as it is located in a hotel. We saw the venue, immediately fell in love, and looked no further. Working with our event planner Jennifer Finch was nothing short of amazing. She is extremely skilled at her craft, providing warm hospitality, understanding, professionalism, and efficiency. Jennifer helped enormously as we navigated the overwhelming process of planning a wedding.I cannot tell you how many people have reached out and mentioned how magnificent the cocktail hour was. Not only was the cocktail hour rooftop exquisite, the quality AND quantity of food are outrageous, truly setting the tone for the night.Upon entering the ballroom, it was romantic and dreamy. Dinner was excellent. Our guests chose from three distinct and delicious entrees and the cake provided by Sweet Sweet Sue's was out of this world. Additional desserts were also at the table and being served by the wait staff. The food was truly incredible from start to finish.Thanks to our amazing DJ, the party did not stop all night. It was a FULL night of dancing, which is exactly what we wanted.The venue, along with all of their staff and our incredible vendors, truly helped make our wedding vision become a reality and we could not recommend it more!

I just had my wedding here on NYE and it was everything I could have dreamed of and more. Everyone working at the event was on point!! The bridal attendant Jackie was fabulous, and the event planner Jen is an absolute rockstar. I highly recommend this venue for your upcoming events.

We are still speechless! Our winter dreams turned into a reality on December 2, 2023, at Above. Everything was perfect. When people ask if we enjoyed our wedding we respond that we had the best night of our lives. It was truly better than we could have imagined and a day we will never forget. Planning was made easy and seamless with the help of our wonderful planner, Jenn. She brought our vision to reality. She helped us every step of the way. We can not thank her enough. We lucked out with gorgeous weather in December and were able to take advantage of the beautiful grounds the Nicotras created here. We would like to thank the entire team that helped make our day perfect. Jenn, our bridal attendant, became family that day. She is a gem and was there for anything we needed. She made sure we were able to enjoy cocktail hour and even eat! Matthew, our Maître d', was exceptional. He was attentive and ensured that everything ran smoothly. Overall, the venue is unlike any other and the staff are unlike any other making our wedding day one we will never forget. Thank you.

On August 12, 2023, my husband and I finally enjoyed the wedding of our dreams. We began planning back in 2019 with an original date set for August 2020. Due to the Covid outbreak, we made the mindful decision to postpone our wedding; not once, but twice. We worked closely with Jennifer Finch through all of the changes to ensure our day was as magical as possible; and that it was. There wasn't a single request that Jennifer, Jackie (Bridal Attendant), Tom (maître d') and the staff of the Above did not meet. My husband and I were treated with the utmost hospitality. We did not have to worry about a single thing, the team had everything covered. The staff at the Above work beautifully together and truly create unforgettable experiences. My husband and I cannot wait to host another event at the Above.

The most magical night ever! The Above wedding venue was everything and more for our wedding. Alessandra, Jackie & Tom (planner, bridal attendant, & maitre’d) were beyond supportive, caring and perfect! From beginning to end, there was nothing wrong with our big event and the atmosphere was beautiful!!! Family & friends could not stop raving about how cocktail hour was so delicious and how dinner was beyond scrumptious! Dessert was the cherry on top with the table-side treats and assorted cookies! We felt so valuable and loved by the wonderful staff at Above!!! I would recommend this place a 1000 out of 10! :) Thank you for the most perfect night of our lives! ❤️

We had our wedding on April 15, 2023 and our experience at Above was nothing but amazing. Our event planner Alessandra was always responsive with all of our questions whenever we had them and did everything to accommodate us and help us plan a perfect wedding. The venue space was beautiful and even though we needed to have our ceremony in the ballroom due to the weather it was fully transformed by the time our reception came along. Our guests keep raving about cocktail hour and the food and thought everything looked so beautiful!! We truly had an amazing experience and will forever look back on our wedding day with beautiful memories. Our maitre’d Tom was wonderful and my bridal attendant Jackie never left my side and was so helpful with coordinating our day. Would highly recommend this venue especially if you are looking for an all inclusive one - ceremony space, reception, and hotel all in one place. The owners of the venue, the Nicotras, even visited us during our rehearsal dinner and our wedding to make sure everything was going well and wish us the best and congratulated us. Truly felt taken care of - the entire staff was wonderful.

First we would like to personally from the bottom of our hearts thank Jennifer Finch for everything she has done, and literally going ABOVE and beyond, now we know why the venue is called Above!! The attention to detail for the event and how you made our vision literally come to life was absolutely mesmerizing , from the staff, waiters, bridal attendant and maître D- were so coordinated and precise with everything, you made our dream wedding come to life!!!, We still have no words but just utter perfection on every single aspect!!!! My husband and I had our wedding at Above and I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience. First off, Jennifer was truly fantastic. She kept me organized and on track with wedding planning, was always readily available to answer any questions I had during planning and was so helpful in all of her advice she offered. The day of the wedding our bridal attendant Jenn and maitre'd Tom were both an absolute pleasure. They went above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. The venue was stunning, food incredible, and all of our guests had a fantastic time. Added bonus of the hotel rooms so no one had to drive home. It was such an amazing wedding venue, zero regrets whatsoever!

My husband and I got married at Above in September 2022. I cannot say enough good things about this venue and the people working in it! First, I’ll start off with Jennifer. Jennifer was THE BEST- any question or worry I had, she was on top of it. She really knows EVERYTHING - from recommending vendors to the smallest day of details. She brought up and organized things that I didn’t even think about. Jennifer really made our day go smoothly. Without her, I am not sure how I would have gotten through it!As for the venue it self, it is absolutely STUNNING all by itself. The staff was amazing. The open bar was great. We opted for another food vendor, Orange Grill, which Above exclusively works with and it was everything we wanted. Another plus is that you and your guests can book rooms in the hotel which made everything SO much easier. The bridal sweet is extremely spacious and has everything you need to get ready. I am so happy we went with Above. Absolutely zero regrets.

My now husband and I were together for 11 years prior to our wedding day. We were 18 when we started dating and spoke about the potential of this day many times. We always knew we wanted a modern-esk cocktail style party, as we felt we did not want to stop dancing to eat. When we got engaged we mentioned this idea to a few people and they all recommended Above. When we visited above for the first time, the elevator doors opened up, our jaws fell to the floor and we instantly knew this was the place we wanted to celebrate our long awaited wedding. Jenn (our wedding planner) was INCREDIBLE. She assisted us with our vision and the many questions to help execute the wedding of our dreams. Jackie (my bridal attendant) and Tom (our Maitre d') were the most \"on top of it\" people I could have asked for, so sweet, professional and amazing in every sense of the word! Every aspect of the day was exactly what we envisioned and more. That night friends and family were telling us this was the best wedding they have ever been to. 10/10 in every aspect.

Where do I start! The Above Staten Island made my wedding day so exceptional that I will have a lifetime of memories. Coming from Westchester County, where several venues are a possibility, Above just spoke to me! At the Above, Jennifer from Day #1 assisted me with my vision and my many questions to help execute a wedding that many are not used too. I wanted a Rooftop lounge vibe and they DELIVERED. Jackie, my bridal attendant, AMAZING! This woman did not skip a beat! She WORKED and this bride never wanted for anything! Anything and everything was HANDLED! ABOVE, is the perfect name because they will go ABOVE to make things right and happen!! The Maitre'd, Tom, a true gem! My dad had a specific request for food and Tom personally went to get his order filled! That meant so much to me. 🤗 The food was EVERYTHING! The Chef.... God Bless your talent! My guests are still talking about the food! Above should offer a couples night just so people can revisit the AMAZING food!! I can go on and on about my wedding! Where do I start! The Above Staten Island made my wedding day so exceptional that I will have a lifetime of memories. Coming from Westchester County, where several venues are a possibility, Above just spoke to me! At the Above, Jennifer from Day #1 assisted me with my vision and my many questions to help execute a wedding that many are not used too. I wanted a Rooftop lounge vibe and they DELIVERED. Jackie, my bridal attendant, AMAZING! This woman did not skip a beat! She WORKED and this bride never wanted for anything! Anything and everything was HANDLED! ABOVE, is the perfect name because they will go ABOVE to make things right and happen!! The Maitre'd, Tom, a true gem! My dad had a specific request for food and Tom personally went to get his order filled! That meant so much to me. 🤗 The food was EVERYTHING! The Chef.... God Bless your talent! My guests are still talking about the food! Above should offer a couples night just so people can revisit the AMAZING food!! I can go on and on about my wedding! But I am truly grateful to have an amazing time at my wedding!#Team AbovesStatenIsland

Best venue!! As a Staten Island bride, I had my heart set on picking a venue in NJ. One night we ended up in the Hilton with my MIL & she said just go look at Above. The second my husband & I walked in, we knew it was the one! It was the first venue we saw & the last. The ambiance is like no other, it’s very modern & elegant. Our venue coordinator was Jenn Finch & boy was she amazing! My bridal assistance Jackie was incredible, anything I needed that night I didn’t even need to finish my sentence & she got it done. The food was out of this world, & I know everyone gets nervous because if you’ve never been to a place before you hope the food is good. Well I can 100% say I was not disappointed with our food. 1 month later & our guests still talk about the food. The Nicotras really have an awesome team for their weddings & I say at least once a week I want to re-live my wedding day because it was just AMAZING! Our guests still tell us that it was the best wedding they’ve been to. If you’re considering Above, just go see the venue & meet the wedding team. Once you do, I know you’ll love it just as much as we did!

As someone who plans events for a living I can tell you that my standards are extremely high and obnoxiously critical. Jennifer Finch and the Above were perfection! From the first time that I walked the venue with Jennifer and I asked questions that I knew only a venue of a specific caliber would know; I knew this venue was up to the task. You also know that this venue is taken seriously because at every event the owners stop by and will jump in and support their staff. They came to my rehearsal dinner, to the cocktail hour, they were cleaning tables, and passing out food. Owners don't do that at most venues. The staff from top to bottom was a dream! I don't have one negative thing to stay and again this is what I do for a living. It was a huge deal for me to be a bride that day and not an event producer. I do not live or know anything about Staten Island but it is 100% worth going to. I highly highly recommend this venue and Jennifer! I don't have enough words for how beautiful and flawless they made our day! I owe them everything!

My husband and I had our wedding at Above this past June and I cannot recommend Above enough. From the first moment of contact to our wedding day, I had no problems at all. Jenn was the best! She answered all of our questions/emails promptly and kept us up to date on all of our wedding planning. The room is absolutely stunning and is so different from any other venue. We are still receiving compliments on how impressive the venue was! The cocktail hour food is delicious and there were over 10 pages of options to choose from! The options also included pizza and strombolis which were a hit. Above was extremely accommodating in every step of the way- Jenn always found a way to fit our needs! She also reached out to many vendors herself to get the necessary paperwork for the venue. On my wedding day I had an unforeseen disaster with my seating chart and was unable to use it (the seating chart was done by an unreliable outside vendor NOT associated with Above). Jenn and the whole event staff went above and beyond to HAND SEAT each guest from my guest list. They kept me calm and were able to move all my guests from the cocktail hour to their assigned seats within 10 minutes. This kind of service is something you absolutely need in your wedding venue.I cannot thank the staff of Above enough for going above and beyond to make our wedding the best day ever.

WOW! I fell in love with Above and the ballroom after our first visit there and knew that was where I wanted to have my wedding. I am from NJ and looked at over 20 venues and nothing hit the mark. I was looking for a modern venue, close to NY and city, high ceilings etc. The venue takes your breath away even before decorations. I loved the swarovski crystal ceilings, the insanely beautiful bar, the space for the cocktail area and well everything. Guests said the cocktail hour was the best they have ever been to and I was very happy with all the food from start to finish. We used a personal vendor for the cake, however Above will include if interested. Now on to the Staff. We worked with Sue V. from beginning to end and I could not have been more happy with her. She was so helpful from our initial meeting, to contract, to food tasting, in between up until our big day, the big day and on. Sue worked with me very closely, was super quick to respond via email and just made me feel confident and excited throughout the entire process. Thank you Sue! Our maitre'd and bridal attendant were equally fabulous and I have only amazing things to say about everyone. If you are looking for a sleek/breathtaking/modern venue I think you will be very happy with Above and their team. The owners came out to introduce themselves to us and it was a very nice touch during the cocktail hour. Thank you everyone at Above for a stunning day.

From our on site ceremony to the breakfast the next morning, everything was perfect. The food was great. Our guests raved about a cocktail reception. Still do this day. She helped us with literally everything from booking the venue, booking our rooms for the night of and for our guests, picking our food for the reception, getting us connected with our flower vendor, tech and lighting vendor and taking care of us the day of. They delivered the whole package. I was so scared of experiencing that wedding planning nightmare that I hear so much about, but everything was flawless! My (then) fiancé and I knew there was no other tristate area choice for our wedding than Above Rooftop and Ballroom at The Hilton Garden Inn Staten Island. Mr. and Mrs. Nicotra have built a stunning reception venue that is housed on even more beautiful hotel grounds. If you're considering getting married on Staten Island, this is the clear choice. The team at HGI Staten Island are unmatched in their professionalism and customer service. And if Above isn't your style, I highly suggest considering one of the other venues they have for your wedding or event. We had our rehearsal dinner in the front lobby room and our post-wedding brunch in the team room. You'll never second guess your choice to become a part of the HGI Staten Island family.A colleague recently attended an event at The Pierre Hotel in Manhattan and commented to me that while the food there was good it didn't compare to the food at our wedding. I'm glad my husband and I got to thank the chef personally the day of our wedding. He was personally checking each salad and making finishing touches when we went upstairs for sunset pictures. Unreal! But not at Above. We worked with event coordinator, Jenn Finch. It was easy to get in contact with Jenn for our initial meeting and she was responsive throughout our entire planning process. At the rare times she was unavailable, we were supported by her colleague, Sue, who was wonderful. We had a few date options for our desired month of September 2018 when we booked in May 2017. We had a few hiccups with guests booking their rooms under the wedding rate. We addressed them with Jenn and they were taken care of to the best of the staff's ability. As a bride and groom, you have the responsibility for making sure things are going smoothly for your guests. At HGI Staten Island, having a coordinator as part of your wedding there is priceless. I suggest having your tasting and final meeting as early as possible. Above has incredible seasonal menus which may limit how early you can have your tasting. However, try to have the informational part of that meeting at least 5 months before. It ticks a lot of boxes and Jenn lays out every thing you'll need to do and the best way to do it. She and her team are experts of Above. Trust them. My husband got ready in the made-for-weddings bridal suite and I got ready at home before our church ceremony. I suggest hiring a day of coordinator to make the day go smoothly. You have a huge resource in your coordinator (Jenn) and bridal attendants (they're amazing!!) when you're on the grounds but having a professional day of coordinator to communicate with the HGI team and your vendors (photographer, band, florist) will make the focus for you and your family only enjoying the day. And day of coordinators typically work with you a few months before. That is the only thing I would change about my wedding day.You'll have endless opportunity to customize the space to make it your own. We chose hot pink lights behind the bar on the rooftop and arranged the furniture near the champagne bar in the ballroom to be more lounge-like. Above rooftop and ballroom make every other venue pale in comparison. It's the same stunning venue for each couple but never looks the same because of all the options you have. It's not cookie cutter and the quality doesn't waver! Thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Nicotra, Jenn, and the entire staff at the Hilton Garden Inn for making our wedding one of the best days of our lives.

First off don't deal with Jennifer, she thinks she owns the place. VERY RUDE TO WEEDING PARTY AND GUESTS!!! The cocktail hour was nice, dinner meal horrible!! Most of us sent back our food, it was not what we asked for. Don't waste your time or money!!

We were absolutely amazed at the attention to detail we received at Above. I don’t know what we would have done without the special care we received from Sue, Jackie and Jeff. They are such a great team and made sure our wedding went exactly as planned. All of our family and friends told us what an amazing cocktail hour we had and the reception was the perfect setting for a magical night. The food was so delicious that we still talk about it. People always say that your wedding day goes by so fast, and it was very true. But we are so grateful to have had everyone from Above take such good care of us. I hope we get invited to wedding there soon so we could enjoy it as a guest!

Today marks our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary. Friday the 13th was certainly a Lucky day for my husband Matt & I! My husband & I celebrated our wedding at Above and we had the time of our lives! I will NEVER forget the day we first went to Above & met with Sue. She led us into the lobby where I was already smitten, then she took us to the rooftop: AMAZING! I felt my heart beat a bit faster as I was being swept off my feet by the ambiance of the location, the comfort I felt with Sue already and how I was already envisioning “our perfect day” to be held there. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, Sue took us to the ballroom. The elevator opened, I took a few steps out into the ballroom and just in that moment, had my breathe taken away! Tears came down my cheeks and my husband to be KNEW THIS WAS IT! Over the course of our planning, we were lucky to work with Sue, who no only secured our day and our vision, but she was was our friend and at times, our counselor/therapist! The staff was amazing! Our vendors were so excited for our wedding, as it was the first time for some to be at Above; they also were awaiting an event to be had there to expierence such an exquisite location! When my husband & I had our tasting with Sue, she introduced us to the chef who also customized a vegan option for several of our guests. Incredible! The portions are unforgettable. Cocktail hour had our guests speechless & they hadn’t even stepped foot into the real beauty yet the day of our wedding. I can say with 100% certainty that we made the very best decision having our celebration at Above. Right before cocktail hour was over on our wedding day, we were whisked I the ballroom to meet with Mr. & Mrs. Nicotra, the owners of the Nicotra Group (Above) what a lovely couple! To maintain that personal level with each couple is incredible & I thank them both for their hospitality & wish them continued success with their establishments!I still keep in contact with Sue & know I will continue to do so for the rest of my life. Above has set such a special place in the hearts of Matt & I, it was the night some new relationships began, some old relationships sadly did end, families merged, friends reunited and two people exchanged vows and promised to love and honor each other for their rest of their lives. 100 stars if possible! Today marks our 1 Year Wedding Anniversary. Friday the 13th was certainly a Lucky day for my husband Matt & I! My husband & I celebrated our wedding at Above and we had the time of our lives! I will NEVER forget the day we first went to Above & met with Sue. She led us into the lobby where I was already smitten, then she took us to the rooftop: AMAZING! I felt my heart beat a bit faster as I was being swept off my feet by the ambiance of the location, the comfort I felt with Sue already and how I was already envisioning “our perfect day” to be held there. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better, Sue took us to the ballroom. The elevator opened, I took a few steps out into the ballroom and just in that moment, had my breathe taken away! Tears came down my cheeks and my husband to be KNEW THIS WAS IT! Over the course of our planning, we were lucky to work with Sue, who no only secured our day and our vision, but she was was our friend and at times, our counselor/therapist! The staff was amazing! She was so easily reachable via phone, email and in person. She walked us through everything and made sure that we were 10000% with all of our decisions. She worked with us every step of the way and we continue to stay in touch because we love her! We are absolutely certain that you will be in wonderful hands with her (& everyone who works at Above/Hilton). The service at Above and the Hilton was exceptional. Everyone there was so helpful, attentive and really made it about the bride and groom. Now for our venue, ABOVE IS STUNNING! It is modern, beautiful, clean and perfect! We loved everything.. from the outdoor ceremony space, to the cocktail hour space, to the reception space which was spectacular. The food, ohhh the food - we could not get enough of our cocktail hour food. We were not one of those couples that did not eat. We chowed down because we knew it would be amazing! (Sue had amazing suggestions for the menu and we trusted her 100%!!) We cannot stop raving and raging about Above and our experience there. She worked with us when it came to pricing and managing the other vendors so we would have nothing but a perfect day, and that is exactly what it was- absolutely perfect! We never saw the cocktail room or the ballroom decorated before our wedding, so the day of, our mouths (and the mouth of each and every guest) hit the floor. Everything went smoothly and, although my opinion about our wedding is biased, everything was beautiful. Our maitre d' and bridal attendant were very attentive and on point with everything we needed, before we knew we even needed it. The food was phenomenal, and not one person had a complaint (which is very hard to come by!). If we could do everything all over again, we'd come right back to Above!

June 30 2018 is one of my most memorable day. My husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at the ABOVE Hilton garden Inn Staten Island. The service, the food, the friendly and accommodating staffs, the ambiance, the bar, the presentation of the cocktail hour and the main dining were a rock star! Sue Vaiana, my wedding coordinator is the best. She makes you feel like you're the most important person in the world . She made sure that, that evening did not have any boring minute. The main dining room decor blew me away! The flowers , linens, towering cake, the amazing Lights display, the sunset view that got everyone in awe , and best of all the food were all A#1 perfecto. Every dish is to die for. From fish to steak to vegetarian . My wedding photos and video's were done by Infinity Photography.( Moe, Bernie, Vinny and Omar.) These guys would go out their way to get the best pictures and videos of you. I highly recommend them for their professionalism and high caliber work. Till today ,everyone still talk about my beautiful wedding at the ABOVE, Hilton Garden Inn Staten Island.

From our very first meeting she was kind, down to earth, organized, honest, and answered every question I had before our big day. She really made our experience at Above stress-free. Mr. And Mrs. Nicotra, the owners, were also incredibly kind. They even stop by at the weddings of their guests to say hello and check-in. The food was 10/10. We are STILL hearing from our guests how delicious everything was. If you are looking for a menu that is a step above that of a typical catering hall, consider Above. The food was definitely a highlight for us and our guests. The staff at the hotel and at Above were all so very kind, helpful, and professional. You could tell the employees there really take pride in what they do.Overall this place was a 10/10. There was not one thing that I thought could have been done better. I keep saying that I wish I could be a guest at a wedding there so I could enjoy it all over again!

We were a little afraid because we ce from Queens, and we weren’t sure how people would feel about coming to Staten Island, but we are so glad we went with our instinct because it was just a 35 minute drive on the wedding day. No one had anything bad to say, the venue is gorgeous, there’s not ONE bad photo from my wedding day. My guest where at aw when they saw the place. Then the food! The food is on another level. I was extremely satisfied with everything that day, and we thank the staff for putting in 100% best day ever, for sure

My daughter and son-in-law were married at Above in June, 2018. Everything was great from the moment we checked into the hotel on Friday before the rehearsal dinner until we left after the breakfast on Sunday. The ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were fantastic. All attendees told me this was the best wedding they ever attended and they raved about the venue and the food. Jennifer Finch coordinated everything about the wedding and was always available from the first time we met until the wedding was complete. Jenn made sure everything went perfectly. In addition, the owner of the venue, Mr. and Mrs. Nicotra stopped in to the wedding to make sure everything was going as planned. I would highly recommend the Above for your event.

The first thing we did after getting engaged was look at venues, and felt very frustrated. Every venue seemed to be the same thing, a basic cocktail hour followed by an unimpressive ballroom that we have seen at most weddings. However, when we walked into Above we were blown away and knew this was where we wanted to have our reception. The cocktail hour lounge is huge and we love how there is both an indoor and outdoor space for guests to enjoy. After the cocktail hour we headed down to the gorgeous ballroom with crystal light fixtures and floor to ceiling windows. The staff had us time our wedding so that we would be able to have gorgeous sunset views during our first dance. Those pictures were to die for (tied with the CHAMPAGNE WALL!)! We also thought an underappreciated feature to the venue was the modern square tables, which we always preferred to the classic round.Besides the initial WOW factor that we got from the space alone we loved the food options. Above has such a unique and diverse menu for weddings. Our guests were raving about the food provided at cocktail hour. Not only was the food great but they provided a wide selection so no one was left disappointed or hungry. For the main course they also have a wide selection of options that you usually don't get at a wedding. Forget the standard options you usually have at a wedding. We were able to offer our guests red snapper, duck and pork as the dinner options. And they were very accommodating to any allergies that our guests had. The night ended with a unique twist on dessert. They had a lot of really cool dessert options that they can be eaten on the dance floor because they don't want the party to stop for people to eat. Some desserts included milk shake shooters, cake pops and so much more. The food was all around great. We ended the night renting out the cocktail space for an after party, and it was one of our best decisions. It was so nice to unwind with out guests, and enjoy the space again with a different vibe. Finally the staff at Above was great. We worked directly with Sue V. and she was very reliable and responsive with all of our questions and concerns. She guided us along throughout the process and made planning for the big day as easy as possible.All in all, Above was able to provide us with the classy but unique wedding that we were looking for with not only a lot of food but great quality. We could not have been happier.

My husband and I got married at Nicotra’s Ballroom July 16,2017. It was truly a dream come true! I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer Finch who went above and beyond for us. Everyone at the sales office was extremely professional and helpful. My amazing maître d Tom, bridal attendant Sabrina, and Jennifer made sure my day ran smooth and was the fairy tale wedding I had envisioned it to be. My husband and I had an amazing time and were treated like royalty all day; from getting ready at the hotel, to the beautiful outside ceremony, to the delicious cocktail hour and of course the fabulous reception. I still have guests raving about the food, service, and the beautiful grounds. We couldn't be happier with our choice of venue and truly recommend it to everyone.

My now husband and I had our wedding reception at Nicotra's Ballroom below Above (Same Venue, different room), since there isn't a review column for Nicotra's I'll RAVE about it here :) This past July we had our wedding in central jersey (where we live) and drove out to Staten Island for the reception. It was so worth it. The venue is beautiful, typical Italian precision to detail at its finest but even better, the food, the drinks and the IMPECABLE service. The servers, Mater di, Hostess, bridal attendants were all top of the line and all of our guests went on to tells us for months after. They offer you house Dj's, photographers, bakers, florists, etc. I had all my own from Jersey but the house DJ WAS AMAZING. PARTNERS IN SOUND. My guests still haven't stopped talking about the music and huge dance party that occurred :) The grounds are beautiful, the back drop was filled with huge lit up trees giving the feel of a forest wedding and if you want the skyline then ABOVE, the venue room \"above\" this room, is for you.

My now husband and I had our wedding reception at Nicotra's Ballroom below Above (Same Venue, different room), since there isn't a review column for Nicotra's I'll RAVE about it here :) This past July we had our wedding in central jersey (where we live) and drove out to Staten Island for the reception. It was so worth it. The venue is beautiful, typical Italian precision to detail at its finest but even better, the food, the drinks and the IMPECABLE service. The servers, Mater di, Hostess, bridal attendants were all top of the line and all of our guests went on to tells us for months after. They offer you house Dj's, photographers, bakers, florists, etc. I had all my own from Jersey but the house DJ WAS AMAZING. PARTNERS IN SOUND. My guests still haven't stopped talking about the music and huge dance party that occurred :) The grounds are beautiful, the back drop was filled with huge lit up trees giving the feel of a forest wedding and if you want the skyline then ABOVE, the venue room \"above\" this room, is for you.

ABOVE and Beyond a Nightmare! I so wish my ‘happy ever after’ could have been just that but the cards were not on my side and as embarrassing as my story is, I feel it is one to be shared so that something like this will not happen to you. For a good majority of you, it won’t happen but if it does, this is not the venue you want deal with….My fiancé and I chose Above Weddings in Staten Island and decided to go the non-traditional route and have a cocktail hour reception on the Above Rooftop. We were to be married in the Above reception hall (30 minute ceremony) then the party was to be led to the Rooftop room for a cocktail hour style reception. The deposit was $1,000 and I am the one who signed the contract as my fiancé had to work that day. I made the deposit on November 11th 2016. The wedding date was to be August 12th, 2017. Well, when it came time to make the 6 month prior to the wedding 50% deposit, my fiancé called the venue on February 23rd, 2017 without my knowledge and canceled the wedding. I found out by listening to a voice mail message from Gina, the wedding coordinator with whom I was working with. She informed me that he called to cancel the wedding and that if they are unable to rebook the date, I could be responsible for 60% of the entire cost of the wedding. Naturally, I was devastated. I already had my gown, bridesmaid dresses ordered, wedding photographer booked, favors in, Save the Date cards already sent out, invitations in, centerpieces ordered… my world was crushed. I went from being a beaming bride-to-be to a single girl in one day. I had to contact every person I sent an invitation to and inform them that the wedding was off. I emailed Gina on February 27th and asked her what other party options there might be in case they were unable to rebook the space. She wrote back and gave me a price of $125 per person plus the 8.79% sales tax and must guarantee at least 100 people. That was only $25 less per person than the original wedding. I informed her that I could not afford that and I would be sending in the official letter of cancelation as instructed.On March 3rd, Gina wrote to tell me that they received the letter and released the date. She said she notified her colleagues of the situation so that they could do their best to rebook it. She wrote, “OF COURSE, I WILL KEEP YOU UP TO DATE and please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions you may have.” I never heard from her again. Well, I assumed they rebooked the date!August 12th came and went. I was finally starting to move on out of my depressed state. Then this happened… On November 21st, a few days before Thanksgiving, I received an overnight letter informing me that Nicotra Hotel –Hilton Grande Inn (Above) is entitled to collect 60% of the total cost in an amount of $9,540 less the $1,000 they already kept for a total of $8,540! They must receive it within 30 days right before Christmas day! Now they are planning to take me to court! At that point, I broke down sobbing. I was finally starting to heal and put the nightmare behind me so it was like someone prying a scab off a wound. I called the owner, Richard Nicotra, and left a crying voice mail to please not this to me. He never called me back. In a nut shell, PLEASE read the contract carefully! It’s shadily written!

On October 27, 2017 a fairy tale wedding came true for my husband and I at the Above, located in the Hilton Garden Inn, Staten Island. \tThe day was perfect from the beginning to the end because of the professionalism shown by all. Especially my event planner Sue Vaiana for her impeccable service. From our first meeting to my reception, she made all my wishes come true. \tWhen my guests arrived they were greeted with flutes filled with champagne and an escorted ride up the elevator to our ceremony. The ambience was perfect, the room was filled with flowers, candle light and a view of a perfect sunset. Vows were exchanged and everything felt magical. \tOff to the cocktail hour on the rooftop. The hors d’oeuvres and cocktails kept flowing. Some guests even ventured outside to sit by the fire and enjoy the breathtaking view.\tThe reception was amazing, out maitre’d, Jeff, did not miss a beat and everything went as planned. Delicious food prepared by Chef Matt, endless drinks and a perfect ending with a gorgeous topsy turvy cake.\tI would especially like to thank the owners, Mr. & Mrs. Nicotra for attending my wedding. They are always a visible presence at every affair to ensure their guests are having a good time. Mr. & Mrs. Nicotra, you definitely made this bride and groom feel very special!

We celebrated our wedding in October, and the Above Rooftop was absolutely the perfect spot for our special day. Our coordinator Sue was available throughout the planning process to help work through every detail, and bridal assistant Jackie made certain the day flowed seamlessly. The room itself is remarkable, with amazing views, indoor and [weather permitting] outdoor space, allowing our guests to have a comfortable evening. Last, but not least, the food was fantastic!

Sue was our wedding planner from Above and she was always able to answer any questions I had and give recommendations throughout the planning process. Mr. and Mrs. Nicotra were also wonderful. They stopped by at our tasting, rehearsal dinner at Lorenzo's, and our reception. Aside from the planning being easy, the food was AMAZING, the space was beautiful, and all of our guests being able to stay in the hotel at a discounted price made every penny worth it.

July 2016 I married the love of my life in the most wonderful place. Above At the Hilton Garden Inn. We loved the venue from the moment we walked through the door. We loved the idea of revisiting our location every for our anniversary so a hotel was our top choice. Also, we have a child and when the reception started we were able to keep him close with a nanny but safely in a hotel room just in time for bed. It was a great feature. Our tour started with the most amazing, flexible, answer any question, excited for every crazy whim idea Sue Viana. She went \"Above\" and beyond to make our wedding as special as it could possibly be. She does this everyday, she's in your corner, you need help or a minute to breathe, she's there. She's amazing! The year I spent planning go back and forth to Staten Island from Queens was worth every minute of my wedding! When you walk into cocktail hour it's the fun begins! And it doesn't stop until you wake up in the morning and realize it wasn't a dream.. and then a new and exciting journey begins! Cocktail hour was great, all the food! And the mingling, some outside, some inside, but every person had a plate, and a drink! And they loved the food! We love food, so having a menu that was different, not the same typical wedding food was very alluring to us and we'll chef Frank delivers!! I have a food allergy and he made sure I was able to eat everything without it conflicting with the style of taste of his delectable creations. When we walked into the ballroom it was at the same time the sun was setting and the pictures of the orange sunset are breathtaking. We Danced the night away, dinner was amazing, the drinks never ended, but once again Sue surpassed our expectations because the team she had in place to take care of us was just phenomenal. Victoria was my bridal attendant and she was so great. My dad has a back injury and she brought his dinner down to his room when he needed to go lay down. She brought food to my child and nanny cause although they were at cocktail hour they were not at the reception. She helped with some many things, I asked and wanted for nothing, she was always a step ahead of my needs. Our Maitre'D was the same, so professional on top of everything, a shadow always there to help. Our reception ended late (a feature we gladly paid extra for) and then we went to room room, which was included in our wedding arrangements, this was not an ordinary room, it was a beautiful suite. There was champagne and monogrammed robes and a refrigerator filled with food and dessert in case we didn't eat as much as we'd liked! The beauty, fun and hospitality of the night never ended! I love Sue and the Nicotra family! They set a standard that is unparalleled! I recently celebrated my one year anniversary and they sent us an anniversary gift! Above, Sue, her team, the Nicotra family thank you for making my wedding dreams come true!!

The rooftop ball room and cocktail hour room is absolutely stunning-beyond words. We definitely had the wedding of our dreams and SUE was amazing! Above was the first venue we visited on a friends referral to check out the space. The second I walked into Above, this was my venue! I checked out three more venues just to say I did, there was absolutely no comparison. My wedding coordinator was Sue. She was the most patient, helpful, and sincere wedding coordinator a bride could possibly want. Above exceeded my wildest expectations. From the unbelievable food, beautiful space and decor you truly will be blown away. I could not say enough about how wonderful everything was. I highly recommending checking it out, ask for Sue!

Wow! Not sure where to begin. I guess I will start with Jennifer Finch (Jenn) my really awesome wedding coordinator/planner. From the day I met Jenn she was not only accommodating, but also genuinely excited and interested in my big day. She knew the ins and outs of my entire event, and could be called on for just about anything. Jenn made my dream wedding happen at truly THE most beautiful venue imaginable. Above is the most wonderful place you will visit. I am telling you, once you walk into the grand ballroom, you will FALL IN LOVE! I want to have my wedding all over again, to just enjoy the party as a guest, that is how truly wonderful the place is. The elegance and attention to detail they show at the venue made this a night to treasure for everyone. The food was more than one can imagine, and it was truly incredible! Jenn accommodated our party who has severe allergies, and was sure to avoid using certain oils in all the foods cooked. It was like being in a dream. The venue is gorgeous, our pictures will be cherished for a lifetime. I cannot in words explain just how amazing Above is! If you are looking for a modern, elegant, and classic wedding venue, you NEED to go to Above. Call and ask for Jenn. She will be your dream come true. Two words come to mind when thinking of Above; world class. From the moment we walked in the door and met Jennifer Finch, we new we were in the right place. The professionalism and hospitality made us feel at home. We planned our wedding in less than 3 months and Jenn and her staff were there every step of the way guiding us in the right direction. From the moment we arrived on Friday evening with car loads full of stuff, Jenn took control and allowed us all to be guests at our own wedding. We are amazed by the attention to detail, the quality of the food, and the professionalism of the staff. From planning to execution we never heard the word no, and even headaches were cared for. Our bridal attendant Jackie was outstanding and went ABOVE and beyond the entire night. We never had to ask for a single thing, almost as if she was reading our minds. Our Maitre'D Jeff coordinated a flawless affair and communicated with us throughout the evening. Chef Matt is definitely the king of the kitchen and we cannot wait to come back to have more of his food. Jenn works with the best vendors and we cannot be more grateful for the choices we had. Even Mr. and Mrs. Nicotra, the owners of the hotel and venue, were present overseeing the evening and checked on us the entire weekend. If you want to feel special and apart of an even bigger family, have your wedding at Above.

My daughter had her wedding there, and in was a memorable night for everyone. The venue was gorgeous and had so many wonderful elements. We had the outside ceremony, and then inside for the cocktail hour in a beautiful rooftop area and then to the reception with gorgeous lighting and tables. Our guests were very pleased with the entire night. Our wedding planner Sue was fantastic. She made sure everything was addressed and perfect. We couldn't be happier!

The vision: A ton of delicious and eclectic food, top shelf liquor flowing, romantic ceremony, sexy and fun reception, no hiccups, perfection. The verdict: It was the greatest night of our lives, and three months later, it STILL is. Guests still call to this day expressing what a great time they had, and that was most important for us. This was a truly spectacular, not at all average wedding. Perfectly executed, we cannot say enough about Jennifer or Carroll. They were calm, helpful, easy to work with, so sharp, on top of their game from the day we met to the day after the wedding, and genuinely love their jobs because I feel like this friendship will last a lifetime. The vision: A ton of delicious and eclectic food, top shelf liquor flowing, romantic ceremony, sexy and fun reception, no hiccups, perfection. The verdict: It was the greatest night of our lives, and three months later, it STILL is. Guests still call to this day expressing what a great time they had, and that was most important for us. This was a truly spectacular, not at all average wedding. Perfectly executed, we cannot say enough about Jennifer or Carroll. They were calm, helpful, easy to work with, so sharp, on top of their game from the day we met to the day after the wedding, and genuinely love their jobs because I feel like this friendship will last a lifetime. My heart breaks for anyone who doesn't get married at Above.

This was the first venue my husband and I visited. After seeing this place - nothing else compared in the slightest. My husband and I got married at Above in September of this year. Sue V. was introduced as our wedding planner and thanks to her our experience at this establishment has been nothing short of amazing. Sue made sure that my husband and I were satisfied with every aspect of our wedding- always putting us first in her mind before making any kind of decision. Sue became a friend in addition to a wedding planner. My husband and I decided to have a \"cocktail style\" wedding in which we had the ceremony in the ballroom and our reception on the rooftop. Before the ceremony, the bridal attendants could not have been more helpful- they made sure our husband and I had everything and anything we needed to make the day go as smooth as possible. The ceremony was breathtaking with the glass encased walls to see the amazing view Above has to offer. The reception is when the fun really began! The food was delicious! (I am a big foodie so that was extremely important to me). There was such a variety for our guests to choose from (about 20 dishes) while having the tapas style food which allowed our guests to be able to taste all that there was to offer. The music took our wedding over the top. From the minute we met Mike (our DJ) he instantly understood the fun vibe we wanted to have at our reception. He made sure the music was exactly what we wanted and needed for our style of wedding. Our cake was beautiful thanks to Jackie's Cakes, who works directly with Above. The cake was not only beautiful on the outside but delicious too. I will recommend this establishment to ANYONE who is interested in having a fun and phenomenal event - a special thanks to Sue for making our vision come true. It will never go unappreciated

The Above at the Hilton Garden Inn could not be any more perfect for a wedding venue! The entire staff including Sue, the coordinator, Jeff the maitre'd, and Jacklyn the bridal attendant, were so accommodating, attentive, and professional. The venue itself was outstandingly beautiful! Of course, the food was incredible and there were more options to choose from than I could ever count! I have had several outstanding events at the Hilton before, but the Nicotra's really out-did themselves with this event. I wish I could repeat my wedding, just so I can have another event at the Above and I would highly recommend this venue to everyone!

If I could give it 10 stars, I would! I can not say enough about how amazing my wedding day was! The venue is stunning & modern, just as my husband and I wanted. The minute we stepped in the ballroom we knew this was THE PLACE. Thank you to Sue Vaiana who was amazing from beginning to end! Super helpful and encouraging and made us feel super comfortable. You can truly trust her to make your day amazing. Jacqueline was also great and treated me like a queen all night. A day we will truly never forget!!!

If you are looking to plan the wedding of your dreams, Above Ballroom will make it all come true. My wedding was August 20th 2016 and I wish I can relive that day every single day of my life. Being from New Jersey and my husband is from Staten Island, I really wasn’t as familiar with this venue as he was. I wanted my wedding venue to be something different, amazing and simply spectacular. After doing much research and visiting many halls in New Jersey and Staten Island, my husband and I decided on Above and I couldn’t be ANY happier with our decision!!! From the beginning to end I worked closely with wedding coordinator, Sue. Who is literally a wedding coordinator Goddess! She was on top of everything and was super easy to work with!! The night of our wedding was simply a fairytale. The food was incredible, and the service was on point. our Maître D’ and bridal attendant were there at all times, making sure the service was meeting our standards! We had family and friends from all over the country come celebrate with us and they are still talking about how delicious the food was, and how gorgeous the venue was. The cocktail hour had so many different options to choose from and the amount of food was endless. Our 3 course choices for the reception were also so delicious, my guest were so full by the time their main course came, they wrapped it go! The party didn’t end at the reception, we rented the rooftop bar and continued the party upstairs until 2 am. We had an open bar, DJ and an outside food vendor come to complete the amazing day! Sue also helped me coordinate our after hour party at the rooftop! Overall, I had a vision for my wedding, between the flowers, the DJ, outside vendor for after party, Sue and her staff worked with them so flawlessly to help make the vision a reality. It was everything I could imagine and so much more. My husband and I HIGHLY recommend Above ballroom to future brides and grooms, because it was truly the best day of our lives.

My daughter got married 2 weeks ago and the guests are still talking about how wonderful her reception was. The Above was amazing, the view was unbelievable, the food was delicious, and the staff was simply on point the entire evening. We started our cocktail hour in the Above Rooftop where the most delicious selection of small plates, passed hors d'oeuvres, and brick oven pizzas were served to our guests. Once the reception began I was completely impressed by the magnificent staff. The food tasted amazing and the presentation was wonderful. After the reception we returned once again to the Above Rooftop for the after party where we all danced and continued to have an unbelievable time, there was no one that wanted it to end! Our event planner was Sue, I can't say enough about her and the enormous help she was with the planning and execution of every detail. If you are planning a wedding or an event of any kind please do yourself a favor and consider the Above at the Hilton Garden Inn, you won't be disappointed!

From start to finish everyone at the Hilton Garden Inn was more than professional and willing to make our experience an amazing one. We were able to relax and totally enjoy our wedding knowing every member of the staff was working to make our wedding experience to be more than we could have ever imagined. All I can say is that if you are planning a wedding please go and see the Above venue you will not be disappointed. If you are looking for a venue to take care of the whole package from rehearsal dinner to after party the Hilton Garden Inn is deffinately the place for you. It was the best decision we ever made to have our Dream Wedding at the Above!

I got married here in October of 2015. We knew the moment we saw the space at Above that this is where we would get married. I honestly do not know where to start in my praise of this space and the people who work there. We worked with Jennifer Finch from day one and she made sure that everything ran smoothly in the planning process and on the day of. She was an incredible resource throughout. The day of our wedding went perfectly, largely because of the staff. From the Nicotras, to Jennifer, to the day of staff - everyone was lovely and went out of their way to make sure the day and night went off without a hitch.The space itself is so beautiful. We were able to do very simple flower arrangements and decorations, because the space needed very little to make it look special. Our guests were blown away by the cocktail hour space and the reception space itself. We had our ceremony in the reception space and it was turned around quickly during the cocktail hour.Our guests have not stopped talking about the food - every few weeks one of my friends, family members or friend of my parents tells me it is the best food they have ever had at a wedding.Some notes about the food - our tasting was such a wonderful experience. We truly felt like we were getting a personalized menu and the chef was so helpful. Also, during the cocktail hour, we had our own private space where we were brought all of the cocktail hour food before heading out to greet our guests. Jenn made sure we were eating!I grew up on Staten Island so getting married in this space was very special to me. It felt like I was always surrounded by family. My husband is not from Staten Island and was equally impressed and felt the same. The majority of our guests were not Staten Islanders - and they were as impressed as we were. This is a venue that would impress no matter the location. I cannot emphasize that enough.The venue combined with the owners and staff made this the perfect place for our wedding. They really made you feel like your event was the only thing happening, even though it is part of a bustling hotel. I could not recommend Above highly enough!

Our wedding was more beautiful than anything we could have imagined. Everything ran smoothly and seamlessly, which allowed my wife and I to simply sit back and enjoy the day. We held our ceremony in the ballroom and had a full club style reception upstairs with open buffet. The venue was stunning, we saved thousands by only needing minimal floral decorations. The entire process, from booking to the complimentary drink the day before to calm our nerves, our planner, Jennifer Finch, was incredible. We always felt cared for, as if ours was the only wedding she cared about. She had so many great ideas to help make the day perfect, was kind and professional when our parents had questions, and reassured us that we never had to worry. The venue is a perfect place for same sex couples. We actually met Jen at a gay and lesbian wedding convention. We would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone!

We had our wedding at above and it was simply amazing. The food was so delicious and the service was outstanding. It was our fairytale wedding that we always wanted. Our wedding planners Jennifer and Carroll and Sue were excellent. They helped us with all of our needs and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we dreamed of. Tom our maitre d was great he made sure everyone got what they wanted all night. Our bridal attendant Victoria was awesome. She spent the whole day making our day wonderful too from helping us get ready to walking down the aisle and making sure we were accomodatted all day. I highly recommend above to other people planning their weddings, because we cannot say enough good things about the place. We were also very pleased with our other vendors as well. Chad from Carroll's florist made stunning center pieces that we got so many compliments on, Anthony and Gary from Platinum Entertainment who had the party and the dance floor pumped and packed all night, and Mike from Premier Digital who took so much time to take certain pictures we wanted and much more that we were happy he thought of.

Upon stepping inside the venue space, we immediately loved the place. The gorgeous open view of city landscape in the distance and the foliage.When Jennifer told us about the “Rooftop Romance” package, we were sold. Who doesn’t want the whole wedding night to be a cocktail hour?! No seating arrangements to worry about. And what seem like never ending food coming out of the kitchen. It was great for everyone to eat, dance, and drink at their own pace. The ceremony space which was the Event Above’s ballroom was just as amazing. We had the sun setting as we read our vows. It was a night we won’t forget. Everything went smoothly since you work with preferred vendors for the DJ/MC and the Cake. It went smoothly throughout the night.

I just spoke to the manager and Mr. Sanchez has assured me things being done to rectify the situation. We are being given a full refund, and were offered a free stay/dinner. He said they are training the staff to ensure this never happens to anyone else. I am really happy someone took the time to speak to me personally. It meant a lot, because it goes to show you that Hilton's guests are not just faceless dollar signs. Weddings are their business, and they care about their business and they care whether you have a good experience or not. For most people, your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and I can't thank Mr. Sanchez enough for turning this situation around and leaving us with a better impression. This was the original review, and I'm sorry I was so mad when I wrote it: We had 14 rooms in a block at Hilton Garden Inn and only half of the guests got their welcome bag. Where they put the others? I don't know. It's really awful to spend so much time on something only to find out your guests never got them. No explanation. We had our luggage checked at the front desk to hold for us after the ceremony and they said they would bring it up to our rooms - they didn't. We had to go to our room only to find it wasn't there and go back downstairs. The front desk harassed me for a credit card while I was standing in my wedding dress to check in - meanwhile, they already had a card on file. We were told we would have 1 shuttle to drop guests off and 2 shuttles on the way back and only 1 of them showed up. Lastly, we went to Above for the after party and were told we would all get in without a cover - meanwhile, no one told Above so they started SEARCHING US LIKE CRIMINALS and wanted to charge us the cover. My husband had to go back to the front desk and scream his head off until they finally sent a manager to Above to tell them to let us in. After we called to tell them all that went wrong, we were only comped like $100 off our room. They should have given it to us for free.

We were told we would have 1 shuttle to drop guests off and 2 shuttles on the way back and only 1 of them showed up. Lastly, we went to Above for the after party and were told we would all get in without a cover - meanwhile, no one told Above so they started SEARCHING US LIKE CRIMINALS and wanted to charge us the cover. My husband had to go back to the front desk and scream his head off until they finally sent a manager to Above to tell them to let us in. After we called to tell them all that went wrong, we were only comped like $100 off our room. They should have given it to us for free.

My husband and I got married at Above almost a year ago, and I can still go on and on about all the things I absolutely LOVED about it. Since the moment I walked into the ballroom I knew this was the perfect spot for my winter wonderland wedding. I can not fully express how amazing our wedding coordinator Sue was. Planning the wedding with her was a breeze and I was never worried that the day would be anything less than perfect. She made us feel such at ease and the entire experience could not have gone any smoother. The night of the wedding, the entire staff was exceptional. Everyone was pleasant, professional and helpful to every single one of my guests. My bridal attendant Jen was amazing. It poured the entire night of our wedding and from the moment my car door opened she was there to greet me with an umbrella and did not allow a single drop of rain to touch my head while she got soaked. She was so sweet and helpful throughout the entire night. The food throughout the cocktail hour and reception was AMAZING I wish I could've eaten everything. Jen made sure we tried everything we wanted to, but my dress only had so much room to expand. Our guests still talk about what an awesome experience they had from the food, service and all around atmosphere, all of which I contribute to The Above. I could not have asked for a more perfect night and wish we could do it all again!

Planning the wedding with her was a breeze and I was never worried that the day would be anything less than perfect. She made us feel such at ease and the entire experience could not have gone any smoother. The night of the wedding, the entire staff was exceptional. Everyone was pleasant, professional and helpful to every single one of my guests. My bridal attendant Jen was amazing. She was there whenever you needed something and was always able to help out in a pinch. She reminded us of everything that needed to be done as the day quickly approached us. \r\rThe Above is just beautiful. The views from the rooftop are spectacular. My guests are still raving about this food, even a month later. Our bridal attendant and maitre d were so helpful. They thing of everything for you! I really cannot give you one complaint. There are so many wonderful things to say about this venue and their staff! We just celebrated our 1st anniversary and a year later our guests are still talking about our wedding!! The night before the wedding I had to rearrange table seatings and she really calmed me down and helped me put everything together. The entire staff, from the bartenders, waiters, Maitre ‘d and bridal attendant not only made sure that my husband and I were taken care of but that my guests were as well. We also loved that the menu was so unique and offered many options compared to other venues. Our cocktail hour was held in the rooftop lounge. Our guests enjoyed the views of the city while sitting near the fire pits. There was plenty of food! My favorites were the passed tapas…chicken and waffles, grilled cheese and tomato soup! My husband loved the pizza station where the chef made buffalo chicken pizza as his special request. The reception was in the ballroom. The floor to ceiling windows around the ballroom and chandeliers are gorgeous. The décor…every last detail down to the table settings were perfect. We stayed in the bridal suite of the Hilton Garden Inn and we returned to the room that night to find that rose petals had been scattered throughout the room and a bottle of champagne on ice was waiting for us! The Nicotra’s even gave us a personalized gift! I can’t thank everyone enough for making our wedding a night to remember!!

I could not have asked for more. Above was absolutely outstanding on our wedding day.\rI had Sue as my event planner and she was amazinggg. Although I drove her crazy (Sorry Sue lol) she kept me in line and focused on getting my wedding planned. \rMy day of bridal assistant was also absolutely amazing. Before my drink even got close to being finished, she was there with a new one for me. She picked up and re-folded the napkin every single time it fell and made sure we always had food options on our sweetheart table. \rMy guests still talk about how our wedding was the best wedding they have ever been to. \rI got compliments on the bartenders, the staff, the decor, the food, the drinks, EVERYTHING.\rMr. & Mrs. Nicotra also made an appearance on my wedding day to say congratulations which was so kind of them.\rEverything was literally perfect and I am SO glad that we chose to go with Above for our wedding. Before i give my review about the most amazing wedding venue on the planet (Above!!!!) let me give you a quick background about myself; my hubby and I are super particular, we know exactly what we want, and our taste is very simple.....we are simply satisfied with the best.This is why we chose to have our wedding at Above. It was the first venue we visited and immediately fell in love. From the incredible views, lighting, outdoor, and indoor space, there is absolutely nothing not to love about this place. We met with Sue, who assured us all our expectations would be met. My groom and I are both Russian and it was important to include things that could accommodate our old school families, and americanized friends accordingly. Sue did just that. Honestly, we went to a few other places after Above because we wanted to make sure we werent rushing into a decision and were making the right choice, but after seeing this place and meeting Sue no one else stood a chance. Sue became our wedding coordinator and friend for the next year of planning our wedding. She is truly such an amazing person and I could never thank her enough for dealing with all my requests, millions of emails, and dozens of visits. She exceeded all our expectations, and truly made all of our dreams come true. And let me tell you about the day of our actual wedding......Sue was there for me from the moment I started getting ready in my bridal suite (which was fabulous by the way!) and put my mind at ease, Jen was my bridal attendant and was so amazing and helpful all day! Jeff the maitre'd was terrific and there wasnt a single request he didnt meet. \r\rThe food at above was un-real! Liquor was top shelf (super important for the russians lol) We added the raw bar to the cocktail hour at an additional cost, and it was worth every penny! so damn gorgeous! A castle ice sculpture adorned with a plethora of shrimp, oysters, clams, lobster claws, and god knows what else! While planning our wedding, we visited Lorenzo's restaurant downstairs of the Hilton (attached to Above), and had plenty of delicious meals while meeting with Sue and discussing details. It was there where we met the owners of the Nicotra group. They are a fabulous couple who made us feel so so special even in the midst of their busy empire. Now that's customer service at its finest!\r\r It has been over a month since our wedding and people are still talking about it! I don't have a single bad thing to say about this venue! I love and appreciate everyone involved with Above that made our day so so perfect! It was ABOVE and beyond anything we could have imagined! The best place on earth! It's almost been a year since my husband and I got married and our friends still talk about how amazing our wedding was. Our wedding was unlike anything we, or any of our guests, had ever seen before. \r\rMy husband, Joe, and I knew we wanted a constant cocktail hour (I mean, hey, it's basically the best part of a wedding) Above provided the \"Rooftop Romance\" package which all took place in their bar/club setting and was set up to be continuous passed/displayed food. That checked off one box but, I was pretty sure I wanted to get married outside. I took a look for the heck of it. \r\rWhen the elevator doors opened up into the venue, I fell in love.\r\rThe room was fun and lounge-like, it had a beautiful terrace with cabanas and fire pits and it had a pizza oven/counter, which I think is one of the items that did it for me. Joe and I said we wanted our wedding to be like a typical get together with our friends, just a dressed up one, and that’s exactly what Above allowed us to have.\r\rImagine it. The food is always being passed around, or set up for you to go take yourself, from appetizers to entrees to dessert. You never have to have a break in the party once it starts. Everyone eats and dances at their leisure (sometimes both at once).\r\rAnd the food was wonderful, everyone is STILL amazed at the “chicken and waffles” plates that were passed. I was concerned that this type of food set up would get messy but everything was passed in easy to serve/eat vessels. We had a ton of options for our courses and the venue’s partner cake-maker was AMAZING. Our cake was red velvet (dyed blue because our wedding colors were blue and orange, cake was orange and when you cut in, blue!) with a raspberry chocolate marshmallow ganache. It was SO delicious, people ate so much wedding cake.\r\rOne of the BEST parts is that you don’t need to do anything once you choose the venue. The DJ is chosen for you (our DJ was amazing as well, Above has done a great job choosing who they partner with) and it’s a lounge/bar so you don’t NEED to get centerpieces or any of that stuff, of course you can, but you don’t have to-imagine the $ we saved! Also, NO SEATING ARRANGEMENTS. I’m not kidding when I tell you that choosing Above was a great decision not just for the atmosphere but because it makes the rest of wedding planning SO stress free.\r\rI’ll never forget how great our venue was and I won’t be able to because my guests will never let me, they might have loved it even more than Joe and me, which is a pretty great impression to have left.\r\rI look back at my wedding day and it was absolutely wonderful and exactly what I always pictured marrying Joe would be like. Jenn was extremely helpful throughout the whole process, and easily accessible by e-mail.\r\rThe food was amazing, our cocktail hour received tons of compliments, and everyone kept talking about it for days.\r\rThe venue was just gorgeous- our reception area took everyones breath away, and we had simple centerpieces (cala lilies and candles around the tall vases). The rooftop cocktail hour area was beautiful and spacious with plenty of sitting space, standing space, and the outdoor area was beautiful with its fire pits! The ceremony space was nice, they have a large structure already built so you could dress it up, or leave it alone. We encountered a little bit of a hiccup when there were silver structures erected behind the building that could be seen from the ceremony space, but Jen and Mr. Nicotra tried to accommodate us and offered us other alternatives (we still liked the original space so we kept our ceremony there)\r\rEverything was perfect. Our bridal attendant was amazing, our maitre'd was great, as far as I know, there were no problems and everything was taken care of. \r\rWe received a complimentary bridal suite after the wedding and it was beautiful. There was a gift for us on the bed from Mr and Mrs Nicotra, rose petals, our bags and flowers were in the room, and our bridal attendant saved us some food because we werent able to try it during the day itself.\r\rOverall it was an amazing day, amazing venue, amazing people, and I could not be happier with Above, Mr & Mrs Nicotra, Jen, and everyone else who helped out!

I don't even know where to begin! I fell in love with Above after coming across the venue on The Knot. I had to see it in person. Being from Staten Island, my husband was a little hesitant at first because all he could envision was the lounge that he has been to on a Friday night. I said trust me, there is a ballroom that you must see. We met with our Salesperson/Planner, Jennifer Finch. As she took us through the room where the cocktail hour is held, all I kept thinking was I need to look no further. We then entered the elevator to go down to the ballroom, the doors open and it was breathtaking! The light colors, square tables,panoramic view of the city and the unique Crystal Chandelier!!! The room sells itself! Its like nothing I have ever seen which is exactly what I wanted. We thanked Jenn for her time and told her we would be in touch. We needed to visit one other place(which was your standard traditional room)before making the final decision. As we walked through this venue my husband turns to me and says, call Above tomorrow & tell Jenn we want to come in with our deposit. Now, Jenn warned us before we left and said that we should leave a deposit if we were serious about the room & the date. It was only going to be a few days so we didn't think anything of it. Well, we should have listened to her because we were too late and lost the date. Poor Jenn received an earful from me. As she walked into her office you could see that she was genuinely upset. I felt so bad since it was our fault but Jenn wanted to make it better and she did! Things happen for a reason and this sealed the deal for me. I knew we made the right decision and not to mention it turned out to be 60 degrees on a Saturday in late December!!! Fast forward to the day & everything went perfectly. If it didn't, we had no idea. The food was amazing! People still talk about it today. The lobster mac & cheese! Chicken & Waffles w/peaches! Braised Short Ribs!! My mouth is watering as I am writing this. I wish I could have taken all of the leftovers home! Jenn, and the rest of the staff (Jen the Bridal Attendant & Tommy the Maitre'D) were so attentive to me, my husband, our parents - totally exceeded all of our expectations. This venue is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY and anyone would be foolish not to have their special day held here. We are now starting to go through all of our pictures from the photographer and they don't look real! The pictures look like they are right out of a magazine! My husband & I have been married for 3 months and there isn't a day that goes by where we wish we had the opportunity to relive that day. I cant thank Jennifer Finch and Mr. & Mrs. Nicotra enough for making us feel like a King & Queen!

I don't even know where to begin! I fell in love with Above after coming across the venue on The Knot. I had to see it in person. Being from Staten Island, my husband was a little hesitant at first because all he could envision was the lounge that he has been to on a Friday night. I said trust me, there is a ballroom that you must see. We met with our Salesperson/Planner, Jennifer Finch. As she took us through the room where the cocktail hour is held, all I kept thinking was I need to look no further. We choose this venue for two main reasons: it was attached to the Hilton Garden Inn hotel to accommodate my husband's family from Maryland and other out-of-town friends from college/work, and the food!\r\rBut Above was much much more than we expected! The elegance and modern classiness of the Above ballroom fit my elegant chic style, and wowed all of our guests. From fantastic views to a beautiful ballroom, we still continue to hear our guests raving about the wedding, and some even said it's the best wedding they've been to. Ever!\r\rThe food was out of this world at Above. Seriously some of the best food we have ever eaten! When we went for the tasting, we had to make the tough choice of short ribs over the filet mignon, but it proved to be 100% worth it, and the most popular choice. The dish was wonderful, and reflective of all of the creative combinations that the Chef Frank Lombardi comes up with. The dishes were so unique and delicious, I think people could have eaten them all night. Special shout out to the Maryland crab cake and the scallops.\r\rThough I am from Staten Island originally, I now live and work in the DC metro area. Planning a wedding 4 hours away felt so easy with Jennifer's help! She was always available to answer my emails and calls, and flexible with scheduling in-person meetings. Plus, Above provided so many services as a part of the package that the only other vendors we needed were photo/video services, floral arrangements and a band! The Maitre D and the Bridal Attendant (Victoria) were so helpful; they took care of things we did not even have to think about. They were one step ahead of us and really allowed us to stay collected and enjoy our wedding. And a shout out to Victoria, who did an awesome job bustling my dress! It can be tricky, especially when the buttons are hidden under the lace!\r\rThe Above Ballroom really speaks for itself -- not too many decorations are needed, and the crystal lights reflected in the floor to ceiling windows turn out amazing in all the photos (especially blank and white photos)! This place it top-notch!\r

I grew up on Staten Island and I never wanted to get married here. We decided to look at The Above because of a few friends that have attended weddings there. It was our first venue and our last! The cocktail hour is on a rooftop with fire pits and the ballroom is breathtaking! I highly recommend you use Sue as a wedding planner. She was absolutely amazing. Anything we asked she made happen and any questions were answered promptly! She was a sweetheart! Sue made everything so easy. The food was delicious! Frank the head chef is excellent. His dishes were nothing I have ever tasted and the choices were unending! We had not one complaint from start to finish from the servers to my bridal assistant (who sowed my bustle numerous times by hand) it was truly the most amazing day of my life. It's also super convenient with being attached to The Hilton. The owners the Nicotras even made an appearance! I highly recommend this venue. They will treat you like royalty and your wedding will be A+ from start to finish!

My then fiancé and I found out about the addition to the Staten Island Hilton a few years ago. We took a 10 minute ride from our home to take a look at the floor plans and design ideas that would in a years time be completed, the venue would be called The Above at the Staten Island Hilton. Once there we meet wedding planner Jennifer Finch who proceeded to show us beautiful photos of what the above would look like after construction. She showed us color and fabric palates, sample menus and we even stood outside and looked up at the very spot where the venue would exist in a years time. We were amazed at the proposed elegance of the venue. We wanted Manhattan and we were looking at the prospect of a manhattan venue on Staten Island. We took a chance and we were blown away......\r\rThe venue was exactly what we wanted, chic, elegant, an abundance of gourmet food options as well as friendly, efficient, professional and upscale customer service. Jennifer was with us from the very beginning she was more than our planner for the Above, she gave us a list of everything we needed to do from flowers to limos. Our guests were in awe by the amazing cocktail hour and the variety of food choices. On our wedding day we did not worry about a thing. Our bridal attendant Brianna and Maitre'd Tom were close by the entire night and made sure that my husband and I had everything we needed, their attention to us and our guests was outstanding. We were so excited that we really did not touch our dinners. When we returned to our bridal suite that night we were blown away....our dinners, desert and champagne where there waiting along with rose petals and votive candles all around the suite. Beautiful presentation. We even received a gift from the Nicotra's; they are a class act and we wish them continued success. \r\rI mentioned that Jennifer assisted with all of our planning, her recommendations were outstanding. Irving from flowers by Bernard really listened to my ideas and created floral arrangements exactly as I envisioned. Our photographer Rocco from JoeyG made things so easy, we all know how tired a bride can get from all those photos! Nick from Romantique was great and his drivers knew exactly how to keep us calm and happy. And then there was Jackie from Jackie's cakes......outstanding, she listened to my thoughts and created our wedding cake exactly as I envisioned and it was beyond delicious. Our good friend Jeff Tripz & his crew from Feel the beat productions kept the party going and live music from Frankie Sands gave the crowd an amazing Sinatra/Martin show. \r\rOverall our wedding experience was excellent thanks to Jennifer and the staff at the Above. \r

When the thrill of engagement sets in and the time comes to actually plan your wedding, there is so much to do and think about, so many important decisions to make; it can all be very overwhelming. I remember when my husband and I were considering the venues to have our reception, there were so many things to think about. We checked out several different places, those familiar, having attended a wedding there before, as well as a few new places I had never seen. I am an Italian girl from Brooklyn, so the type of wedding, service & FOOD was very important for our guests. Also, having been the last of a large group of friends to be married, I wanted to be a little different too. Being different & holding true some traditions can be hard – but having our wedding at the ABOVE made it so easy, it was the perfect combination. \rMy husband is not from New York, so we had quite of few out of town guests coming, which made the hotel a huge plus in having the wedding at the ABOVE. I didn’t have to worry about transportation for these guests to and from the venue. \rThe rooftop is an amazing space, not your typical cocktail hour room, but guests fully enjoyed the ambiance and surroundings. The outside deck was a great addition as well, even though it was November, there were several fire pits lit up in the seating areas and many people enjoyed the deck and the view. \rWhen my husband & I walked into the Ballroom, it looked more amazing then we pictured. The room is spectacular with the crystal lights & the windows overlooking a beautiful November night, clear with starry sky. \rOur guests absolutely raved about the food, then & still now!!! From the cocktail hour to the dessert and every course in between, I am still hearing how amazing, how plentiful and finely crafted the food was… it all went over really well to tough crowd. The little bit my husband & I got to eat was delicious, so I know it did not disappoint. \r\rThe Above staff was up for this crowd of 230+, the servers were plentiful and always had their hands full of food, drinks, whatever the guests needed. Our fabulous entertainment had almost the entire crowd on the dance floor all night without it being too crowded. The bars were packed, people enjoyed the seating areas so they could mingle with others that might not have been seated at their table. \rAll in all – we were extremely happy with how our wedding turned out, I would even say that it couldn’t have been better. The staff at ABOVE was great to work with, planning, during the wedding & even afterwards with and worked really hard to make us, our parents and our guests happy. Mr. & Mrs. Nicotra, as well as Sue were there every step of the way, even that night, personally assuring everything was held to the highest standard. \rOur Maitre’D was Jeff and our Bridal attendant was Brianna. Jeff kept the evening moving as planned and Brianna made sure we had everything we needed, even before we knew we needed it. They were a great team.\r\rI often joke that I want to be invited to a wedding at the Above so I can truly enjoy it as a guest. Being the bride and groom, the entire \rday is so busy, so much going on and goes by so quickly. Wherever you decide to have your reception, I hope you remember to sit back and enjoy it. \r\rOur wedding was November 16, 2013 & almost a year later, we can look back at the video and pictures, reflect on this wonderful event and remember just how we, as well as our guests enjoyed celebrating our love.

Mr. & Mrs. Nicotra, as well as Sue were there every step of the way, even that night, personally assuring everything was held to the highest standard. \rOur Maitre’D was Jeff and our Bridal attendant was Brianna. Jeff kept the evening moving as planned and Brianna made sure we had everything we needed, even before we knew we needed it. They were a great team.\r\rI often joke that I want to be invited to a wedding at the Above so I can truly enjoy it as a guest. Being the bride and groom, the entire \rday is so busy, so much going on and goes by so quickly. Wherever you decide to have your reception, I hope you remember to sit back and enjoy it. \r\rOur wedding was November 16, 2013 & almost a year later, we can look back at the video and pictures, reflect on this wonderful event and remember just how we, as well as our guests enjoyed celebrating our love.

I got married at Above on August 1, 2014. Everything was absolutely perfect. Even though the weather did not hold up, the indoor ceremony was spectacular, the cocktail hour was delicious, and our guests had such an amazing time that they are still talking about it!\r\rI worked with Sue, and I cannot recommend her more highly. She was always there for me with advice, suggestions, and the calm voice I needed when it all got to be too much. She even got delicious champagne for me and my bridesmaids while we got ready on the big day!\r\rThe venue was honestly breathtaking, especially once the sun went down. Even though I had seen it before, I gasped when I came in for the first time that night because everything was so beautiful. The muted colors are perfect because they will match anything, and the modern designed if extremely elegant.\r\rAnd the food! Everyone still talks about the food. There was so much, and it was so delicious. Even though I got to eat my fair share, I'm hoping I'm invited to a wedding there soon so I can try more of it!\r\rIf you have the opportunity, book Above. You will not be disappointed!!!

One word to describe our wedding at Above: PHENOMENAL !\r\rWe had guests travelling all the way from Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, Norway, and ...Staten Island to join us for our wedding ceremony and reception at Above. And they all had the time of their lives ! \rThey told us that they had never been at such a fun wedding reception, and all the European guests agreed that it was worth travelling so far to share that special day with us ! They did not want the party to end.\rThe venue of Above is hip, young and modern and offers a view of the NY skyline. Our guests especially enjoyed the outdoor cabana's and fire pits at night.\rThe food was sophisticated and delicious. The chef is very creative and helped us make all the right choices.\rThe DJ kept all the guests dancing all night until the very last minute. The guests actually did not want to leave at the end of the night.\rMost amazing however, was our wedding coordinator from Above, Jennifer, who planned the whole event from A to Z. She worked very hard to make our wedding day go smoothly. During the months before the wedding, we never worried or were nervous about anything because Jennifer took it all in her hands.\rJennifer, and Above gave us the best day of our lives! \rAbove will be in our memories forever.

She worked with us from the start and followed through to make sure our wedding was everything we hoped for. I can not thank her enough for all of her hard work. Her along with the hilton team made sure our wedding was perfect! And it was. The venue itself, the food, the staff were beyond exceptional. My wedding was July 28, 2013. No words can express what a wonderful place Above Rooftop Wedding Venue is. If your looking for a modern, clean, elegant, city life look, Above is the place to be. You get excellent service, a wonderful wedding package with a variety of food to choose from. And if there is something in the menu that you like and you don't see. They will create it and add it to the menu.\r\rJennifer Finch was my Event Planner at the time of the wedding she was pregnant with her first baby. That did not slow her down she was alway ready and willing to answer any question and I had and she made my wedding day the best day of my life. I highly recommend Jennifer Finch.\r\rFor my 1 year anniversary Above gave my husband and I a beautiful white pillow which had an engraving of my husband and I name, the date we got married and inspirational word \"Always\" it was so thoughtful of them, we love it. \r\rIf you want a wedding venue that makes you feel like family, care for your wedding need, and makes all your dreams come to on your wedding day. Above is the place to be.

My fiancé & I almost eloped. He took one look at Above & the rest as they say is history! \r\rAbove is like nothing else you will experience when wedding planning. From the moment we walked into The Hilton we were met by our incredible event planner, Sue, who made us feel like she was planning her own event. No question was left unanswered, no detail left out. \r\rMost venues we spoke to charged extra for menus, table cloths, etc. Not at Above. You are getting ALOT for your money. \r\rI have been replaying my wedding over & over again in my mind because it was hands down the best venue we had been to. My wife and I got married at Above this summer and it was absolutley perfect!!! The space is absolutly amazing and perfect for a modern hip wedding. The cocktail hour is out of control good, the food is out of this world (get the lobster mac and cheese), and the service is second to none! \r\rThe views are amazing and we were fortunate enough to have a beautiful sunset as the night moved on. I can not tell you enough about how beautiful the ballroom is and the bars are AMAZING!\r\rThe owners, Mr. and Mrs. Nicotra made a special trip to visit us during our reception and they truly run an amazing operation.\r\rFinally and most importantly Shainah Bowens was with us every step of the way leading up to and on our wedding night. She works her butt off and makes the entire process seamless and FUN! \r\rIf you are looking for modern, amazing food, the best service this is your venue!

You will not find a venue like this anywhere it is beautiful, the service is outstanding and the food is delicious. They really understand and are helpful with every aspect of your special day. \r\rPlease ask to work with Sue! It wouldn't of happened without her. My husband and I started looking for wedding venues the week after Hurricane Sandy, and both being life-long Staten Islanders we felt a lot of pride for the borough we grew up in. After making the \"usual\" calls to every catering hall from New Jersey to Brooklyn- we had a strong urge to have our wedding closer to home. We made appointments to look at the few wedding halls on Staten Island, our first being with Jennifer (Finch) for the Above at the Hilton. At the time, the Above was still a new venue and was still under construction. After meeting with Jennifer we booked the hilton for our wedding- WITHOUT EVER SEEING IT. Jennifer and the staff spoke that passionately about it. They had artist renderings, and sample fabrics and the view of the rooftop from the outside was enough to hook us. We were a little nervous, but knew that our wedding would be at the very least nothing anyone on the island had ever had before.\r\rFast forward ten months- our minds had been blown. Jennifer communicated with us constantly to help us pick out every detail of our wedding. Her recommendations from the vendor program were professional and everything we needed. She even made sure to sneak us in to see the venue the minute outsiders were let in. The chef sat down with us at the tasting and let us mix and match entrees. Coming from a big Italian family, food is key, and his excitement for his creations made me look forward to that day even more.\r\rOur wedding is still one people talk about. From the cocktail hour to being able to go downstairs to the lounge for an after party- the day was flawless. My guests still talk about the food and always comment that they \"can't wait to go to another party there.\" Some of my favorites? Chicken and waffles and brick oven pizza and calzones at cocktail hour, and the passed desserts for venetian. I can't say enough about the service, my bridal attendant made me feel like a celebrity for the day and the drinks were flowing at the gorgeous bar. Not to mention that both Jennifer and the owner Mr. Nicotra personally checked in throughout the event. \r\rWe had guests from as far off as Arizona, and many traveled from Jersey, upstate New York, and Manhattan. Being able to stay in the hotel was a plus for everyone. People are still talking about it. one friend that had gotten married called it \"the wedding of the year.\" Food, service and decor cannot be topped in the area.\r\rLisa K.\r\rPS- Need to give a huge shout out to two of the house vendors jennifer recommended- Mike from Platinum Entertainment and Chad from Carroll's Florist. I'm as obsessed with flowers as my husband is with music and they took our dreams and rolled with them!

When the weekend came they had booked another party in the private room so we had to be outside -- which was fine until it started to rain. They quickly moved our party inside but we were in very tight quarters and at two separate tables (my then fiance' and I had to eat a table by ourselves behind everyone because we couldn't all fit) That was disappointing..But the food was fantastic and the patio outside was great until it started to rain.
