AK Diamond J Ranch is a wedding venue located in the countryside of Homer, AK. This picturesque retreat is designed to host celebrations in classic Alaskan fashion. This family-owned-and-operated estate is an idyllic setting for unforgettable celebrations. Managed by couple Billy and Stephanie Jones, this location was a settling point for their homesteader relatives who came to Homer in the 1950s. Billy and Stephanie are passionate about incorporating their Alaskan heritage into AK Diamond J Ranch, creating a truly authentic cultural experience. Spreading across 25 acres of land, this resplendent venue is situated right near Kachemak Bay. You will be treated to a breathtaking view of open pastures, complete with fields of peonies. This environment offers a stunning backdrop for your outdoor ceremony and portrait sessions. You can choose to exchange your vows in the meadows or under the exposed beams of the outdoor pavilion, complete with a covered roof. In fine weather, this space can serve as a lovely spot for a meal among nature. The main attraction of this venue is the heritage barn, a broad structure crafted from warm-toned wood. Following a classic rustic style, you’ll find arched ceilings with hanging Edison lights that can cast an intimate glow over your reception. This space has a capacity for up to 100 of your treasured guests. Management of the property offers the use of vintage-styled seating and tables for your event, including wooden banquet tables and decorative barrels. Lodgings are also provided in the main house, which includes the use of two bedrooms, bathrooms, and a kitchen. These facilities can also be used as get-ready rooms, where you can prepare in tranquility before your special day begins. The staff of this venue wishes to accommodate as many different kinds of celebrations as they can, so they offer a number of wedding packages. Each one is tailored to the individual couples’ needs to ensure that they have a blissful experience at the ranch. Couples can avail of the Single Day Package, which gives them the run of the grounds for 14 hours. This includes access to the barn, the pavilion, and the house as well as the rental of seating and tables. There is also the option of the Weekend Package which guarantees private use of the ranch for three days. This lease gives you ample time to set up and rehearse for your special day, enjoy your celebration, and wind down after the big event. The management can also provide you with a list of their most trusted vendors, guaranteeing that you will be served by the very best in the business. Their extensive list includes planners, caterers, florists, and photographers. Working with this venue means planning a momentous day with minimal stress, all in the beauty of the Alaskan countryside.

Billy Stephanie and their children are phenomenal! We had the best experience getting married at AK Diamond J Ranch. The venue is so stunning that it would be an amazing day even if Billy and Stephanie didn't show up. But as soon as we arrived to set up they came down and helped ALL DAY setting up for our wedding. They even had their daughter get one of the ponies because the younger kids in the wedding party wanted to ride a horse. She helped put them on the pony and walked them around as everyone was decorating the venue. The kids had the BEST time. Their family are the absolute sweetest people in the world and I wish we could do it all over again. The experience was incredible. They were so generous with their time, they were incredibly knowledgeable, and had a massive collection of great stuff for us to use for decor. Words cannot describe the incredible experience we had with Billy and Stephanie at AK Diamond J Ranch. I am so happy we chose them to get married. AK Diamond J is the absolute perfect destination wedding. They have so much decor that you could honestly just show up and get married. Thank you for the best day ever Billy and Stephanie!

I grew up on a ranch in Montana, my husband grew up on an island in Alaska so when we were searching for a venue for our wedding we wanted a spot that would be the perfect fusion of both. AK Diamond J was the EXACT place we were searching for! From the time I set eyes on AK Diamond J I KNEW it was where we would get married. Billy & Stephanie (the owners) were incredibly responsive and easy to work with through the entire process over the year and half of planning our wedding. We had to change our date once and they were very understanding, we added on an extra night of the guest house, we brought in our own craft cocktails, and any other small or big ask we had, they never acted as it was an imposition. They are definitely service-oriented people as are their children! We had such an amazing time planning the wedding with them and having them be a part of our day. The venue is also the most gorgeous spot in Alaska. The expansive area for all the photos, the beautiful glaciers in the background, the close proximity of all the buildings made it perfect for getting ready, photos, the ceremony, and for our caterer to provide cocktail hour food, dinner, and dessert! Will recommend this spot to anyone else who ever asks for a recommendation!

I don’t know where to start! Everything was beautiful, the Jones family is amazing and so good at what they do. The little details were so thoughtfully taken care of. I highly recommend the day of coordination because you won’t have to worry about a thing. They have perfected the art of the rustic/farmhouse wedding and they have EVERYTHING you need. We showed up with people, music, food, and flowers and everything else was on site and available.

My husband & I loved our experience with AK Diamond Ranch. Stephanie was very responsive. We hired her as a day of coordinator and she took care of everything, making my day as the bride stress-free. The setting was stunning & out- of- state guests were blown away by the beauty!

Cannot express enough how wonderful Stephanie and her family were! They went over the top to make our wedding as perfect as possible and were delightful to work with, every step of the way. Probably the best wedding experience ever! Stephanie and her family have created such a wonderful, versatile venue. The picturesque Alaskan backdrop of glaciers paired with the rustic barn create a one of a kind atmosphere. The day of coordination offered is worth every penny. I have planned many weddings in the past, so when planning my own I knew what to look for in a venue and a day of plan. Highly recommend!!

This venue is amazing! The owners are helpful & attentive, answered all our questions, and even took us to several awesome photograph locations for photos! We got some with the horses from the farm and they turned out so amazing, as well as the scenery there- a pond, a mountain overlook, fields, there are so many great spots to take pictures as well as being such a well equipped venue!

I can’t even begin to share our amazing experience at AK Diamond J!! Not only was the venue itself the most beautiful place I’ve ever been but my favorite part about the whole experience was the beautiful family running the show! Stephanie and Billy, the owners, are the most loving couple with the sweetest kids I’ve ever seen! If you ask me, this beautiful family is what makes getting married here so special! You could see and feel the love in the air with this lovely family. We can’t thank them enough for our amazing wedding and everything they did for us to help make our wedding the best day of our lives!! We will cherish this day forever!! Thank you Jones family!!

We could not have had a better experience with this venue. Stephanie and Billy were amazing from day one with their responsiveness and answering every last question. They were so helpful and present for us and did so much to make the process of planning our wedding easier. The property is breath-taking and the inventory of wedding-related items they have on hand available for use saved us an incredible amount of time and money, which did not go unnoticed as the little details piled up. We had looked at at least 12-14 other venues from Palmer to Anchorage and all through the Kenai Peninsula, and this one was without a doubt the most stunning, the best value, and ultimately a wonderful choice for our Alaska destination wedding. I can't recommend this venue enough! Thanks for such a wonderful wedding day we will cherish for life!

From the first time I drove on to the ranch I knew that this was the perfect place to get married. It was the first and only venue I looked at. After telling my husband about it (he was out of town working so he didn't get a chance to see it until the day of.) he said I trust your judgement, it sounds magical! I just knew that it was where I wanted to marry the man of my dreams. It checked every single thing on my list! Mountain Views, Glacier Views, Ocean Views, located on the side of a mountain surrounded by gorgeous Alaskan trees and the most lovely structures. Not to mention the lovely peony fields and meadows of fireweed! The house has plenty of room for everyone to get ready and the bridal suite was perfect! They truly thought of everything, cute decor for accents in pictures, full length mirrors and adorable dressing area, huge bathroom/makeup studio. And I can't forget about the huge upper deck to take in the sunset/sunrise. The barn is rustic yet modern with a huge deck that can be utilized for many things. The pavilion is absolutely stunning with the perfect backdrop for your reception. Aside from all of the beauty I was surrounded by, I knew it was the right place because of the the owners, Stephanie and Billy. They are the most down to earth, hard working, kind people we've had the pleasure of meeting and developing a friendship with. They were ready to help with anything we needed! From practicing the night before, to the day of it was like they were just part of the family eager to make sure we had the best day ever. I am truly grateful for all of their help! Ak Diamond J Ranch was our fairytale dream wedding location become reality!

I don’t even know where to begin! Our wedding weekend was the most magical experience, and everything I could of hoped for. It would not have been possible without this beautiful venue and the amazing people behind it . We were able to spend three days in a gorgeous environment celebrating love, laughing, and having the best time. From the moment we stepped on the ranch I felt at peace!! There are so many unique options and ways to set the stage for your wedding, I had so much fun choosing how to utilize this incredible space. With a huge yard off the side of the deck our wedding night was accompanied by everyone enjoying our yard games, music, and petting horses in the pasture. What more could you ask for ?!?!! Our rehearsal dinner was a feast of tacos with our family and friends underneath the pole barn basking in the golden light from the sun with a fire and s’mores to follow . I don’t know how you could ever top being at a place like this and it was so hard to leave. Thank you AK Diamond J ranch for making my wedding dreams come true and for being such amazing gracious hosts!!!

The Jones have such a beautiful venue & my special day was one everyone still talks about at family functions. We had the best weekend! I have recommended this venue to anyone I know getting married in Alaska. Even people out of state.

We loved AK Diamond J Ranch. From the very beginning they were super responsive to our needs and let us come out a couple times to check the place out before the wedding! The site was gorgeous and we even were able to get a lot of our flowers from their peony farm! They were always super professional and the site was so gorgeous we had to do minimal decorations. Definitely felt like it was the perfect option for us in Homer because of the view, size, and Alaskan feel. We had 200 people and they were super accommodating. I would definitely recommend this place as a first choice in Homer!

I highly recommend AK Diamond J Ranch for a celebration in any season. (our October wedding was sublime) From the first visit & walkthrough to the moment we waved goodbye at the reception, the folks at AK Diamond J Ranch were 10 steps ahead of our every wedding dream. The attention to detail in the bridal suite made getting ready fun and festive, whether you were downstairs primping or upstairs enjoying the killer mountain views. The barn itself is gorgeous and rustic, but wired with party lights and discrete speakers to facilitate a serious reception dance party. Having Bill and Stephanie so close to the venue was an added bonus. They were so approachable and fun to be around, as well as full of creative ideas for personalizing our big day! I will be singing their praises for years to come. Great location, great people, great choice!

Billy & Stephanie Jones (Owner) Married for 20+ years, and we are loving it. Along with our 5 children we own and operate our venue on the land where I grew up. Our wedding reception was on this family ranch in my parents barn, and the first wedding that I remember attending as a kid was in my grandparents barn just down the road. Barns and weddings make for some of the best memories. We want to make it possible for other couples to experience what we have been blessed with.
