Alaska's Most Unique Venue

Bison Hall at the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center offers a unique, one-of-a-kind peaceful and scenic setting for the ultimate Alaska experience where guests will be surrounded by stunning mountains, Alpine Glaciers, the Turnagain Arm Inlet, and Alaska’s beautiful wildlife. Bison Hall makes the perfect venue for your next event! As we are a non-profit, all the proceeds from your event go straight back to helping Alaska’s wildlife! The Center is located just an hour south of Anchorage in Portage. Bison Hall is a beautiful barn-like building with a high vaulted ceiling that showcases wood beams, a moose antler chandelier, and large windows that allow natural light to flow in. Our facility offers a peaceful and scenic setting for the ultimate Alaska experience. It is the perfect place to host any event from black tie to down home. Bison Hall rentals also include admission into the sanctuary for all your guests. If you rent Bison Hall then you can use the Point, with gazebo, for no extra charge for a maximum of 60 minutes. Where the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center meets the waters of Turnagain Arm, one of the most scenic places in Alaska unfolds – The Point. With wood bison and elk on one side and views of the water, mountains, and glaciers all around, AWCC offers a gazebo and boardwalk for family reunions and wedding couples to take breathtaking photos. We also have wildlife presentation add-ons, which is a fun and engaging way to get photos with the wildlife! The Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center (AWCC) is located in Portage Valley and is surrounded by the breathtaking Chugach Mountain Range and Turnagain Arm Inlet. Located at Mile 79 of the Seward Highway, AWCC is a non-profit sanctuary dedicated to preserving Alaska’s wildlife through conservation, education, research, and quality animal care. AWCC takes in orphaned and injured animals year-round and provides them a forever home. The sanctuary maintains over 200 acres of spacious habitats for resident animals to feel at home displaying their natural wild behavior as education ambassadors for their species. It is common for visitors to see brown bears swimming, moose strutting, wood bison roaming, muskox playing, wolves posing, porcupines climbing, and more!
