The Alexander Room & Terrace, based in Metairie, LA, offers couples a stunning wedding venue for their special day. From its spacious ballroom to its scenic terrace, this event space is a versatile setting for an event to remember. With a strong focus on personalization, this team works with each client to create a tailored experience for their long-awaited celebration. Originally built in 1984 by the International Brotherhood of Electricians, it was purchased by Troy and Cindy Timphony of Hobnobber Café in 2014. Today, it has been revitalized to cater to modern celebrations. Inside, the Alexander Room offers 5,000 square feet of space for your event. Brightly lit and tastefully decorated, it provides an elegant setting for your wedding reception. Outside, the terrace presents an ideal venue for an outdoor ceremony or celebration. With its festoon lighting, outdoor speakers, and versatile layout, it can be a welcoming setting for you to celebrate your special occasion. As an added touch, this location also offers a get-ready room, allowing you to prepare for your big moment in privacy. The team at the Alexander Room & Terrace works hard to provide the best possible service to each client for their special day. For your convenience, an on-site attendant will be available for your event to ensure everything runs smoothly. Their in-house catering can be tailored to suit your tastes, presenting you with a fitting feast for your wedding celebration. Their team of bartenders, servers, and attendants will also be available to cater to you and your guests throughout the event.

From the first time I contacted Cindy at the Alexander Room & Terrace, until now (two days after the wedding), I knew we had chosen the perfect place for our daughter's wedding. Cindy listens to everything you say. She is genuinely interested in striving to make your wedding wishes come true. She is prompt with replies to any question you may have. And I had many. She knows what you envision and she delivers on every single level. She knows how to make the Bride and Mother of the Bride (that's me!) happy. This in turn makes everyone happy. She is great with suggestions to help your dreams become reality. The food, the service, the beautiful Bride Room, the loving atmosphere of a family owned wedding venue will exceed your expectations. The indoor space is huge and the beautiful outdoor terrace is the icing on the cake. There are two men's rooms and two ladies' rooms. More than enough parking for 300 guests. You can have it all at The Alexander Room and Terrace. Cindy is not only your wedding venue coordinator, she is your friend. Always there for you!

Oh my gosh, where do I begin! Cindy, thank you so much! Let me just say, this place is the best! We fell in love with Cindy at our tour so quickly, we cancelled all the others, had a brief discussion in the elevator, and booked as soon as we exited downstairs! My daughter’s wedding, from booking to the final dance, was an amazing experience! I cannot express enough how easy Cindy was to work with! She was so helpful and definitely talked me off the ledge several times! Lol! She was always available to answer questions and offer the most helpful suggestions and it made wedding planning so much easier! She is the sweetest person and absolutely loves her job! She treated us like family! The venue was beautifully decorated and the food…the food was AMAZING!! Anyone who has the pleasure to work with this lady is so lucky! I got married on Nov11, 2023 & couldn’t have picked a better place to have my wedding & reception at. Ms Cindy & her entire staff were so nice & welcoming. They helped me with every detail in making my special day what I dreamed of. Ms Denice took care of my husband & I as well as our parents all night for the wedding, making sure we always had a drink or just anything we needed she was there to help. I can’t express how thankful I am to them & would recommend them again & again. The food is absolutely delicious as well! I wish them nothing but success!

All I can say is WOW. Mrs. Cindy and her team went above and beyond from the moment we walked through the doors to tour the venue. My fiancé and I instantly fell in love with the venue and we knew we had to have our wedding at the Alexander Room. The whole planning process went so smooth and made wedding planning so much fun. The attentiveness of the staff was beyond anything I could have asked for. The food was delicious and our family and friends are still raving about each dish! Forever thankful to the Alexander Room for such an amazing night!

I was back and forth about decorations and design, but Cindy did an amazing job with little/no direction for me! lol She is very professional and made me feel like a beautiful and STRESS FREE bride! My Husband and I had our reception at the Alexander Room this January and we are still getting compliments two months later. We got engaged in the height of covid so we had been engaged for some time once we started venue shopping. Once we got into wedding world we were so disheartened at how much the wedding industry will take advantage of cost wise and it drove us to take a pause and contemplate eloping. We eventually decided we DID want the wedding so we picked shopping back up and decided on a venue. The night before we went to sign a contract I ended up seeing the Alexander Room and thought it was gorgeous! Mrs. Cindy answered me quickly and said we could see it the next day. When we walked in we both gasped at how gorgeous it was. Then...we met Mrs. Cindy. She was hands down the most exceptional part of our wedding planning and I so looked forward to every conversation with her. We walked out that day and could not stop talking about how welcomed she made us feel and comfortable. We went to our ''almost venue'' one last time and while their coordinator was talking we cut each other a look and we knew the Alexander Room was the only option. We called her back to book and we were both SO HAPPY that we all three cried on the phone!! LOL! The Alexander Room could have looked like a shack and we would have booked with Mrs. Cindy anyway. And we truly mean that. I had huge visions for my wedding in the beginning, but unbeknownst to Mrs. Cindy as time went on I had serious setbacks with family emergencies arise and I no longer could make all of my visions come to life and as time got closer to our wedding I was left feeling stressed that nothing was done and so sad I wasn't able to dedicate more time to my decor, details, etc...BUT Mrs. Cindy is so amazing and she could tell I was stressed and out of time and she said to me \"do you trust me to just make this work and make the room look beautiful?\" And I said YES. I walked in and you would have never known all that I was stressed about. She made the room gorgeous and elegant and timeless. People continuously complimented how tasteful the decor was and as a girl who loves to plan a party and dreamed so long for this day I will forever be so grateful to her for that even though she had no clue about what was going on in my personal life. I actually cried when I saw the room because I was so happy.Don't get me started on the food. People are still talking about it. 10/10. I dream about it. My husband dreams about it. My niece will not stop talking about the stuffed shells. We absolutely cannot get over it.And the staff the night of our wedding was so amazing and so attentive to everything.My husband and I shared a private last dance and at the end the staff came out and started clapping for us ***TEARS!!!!***I could write a short series on why I loved the Alexander Room but I need to wrap this up.To close, I will say that while this venue was affordable and gorgeous what made it 10,000 times better was Mrs. Cindy and her family/staff. The only thing that makes your wedding worth it is a vendor who loves love and cares about people and she was nothing short of that .She will take care of you and make sure the best day of your life goes accordingly. Also when she gave us the cost of everything I asked her multiple times if this was accurate and she said \"I am not in the business to rip off people in love. WE LOVE MRS. CINDY, WE LOVE THE ALEXANDER R, GET MARRIED HERE AND DON'T HESITATE!

I would 12/10 recommend having your wedding reception here. Mrs Cindy and her (family) team are the best group of people you’d ever want to surround yourself with. They were kind enough to host our 4 hour wedding reception on New Years and we will never forget that night. Amazing food all catered in-house, awesome stage for the band, the best staff in Louisiana, and the outdoor balcony is a bonus. They’ll work with you to make the place your own. We looked at over 10 places to have our reception and this place had everything the others didn’t. This place is at the top of my list of venues.

This venue is a hidden gem! I fell in love with it after meeting Mrs. Cindy and touring the room. I loved the idea that I was having my reception at not only a beautiful venue, but one that was operated by such a loving family. Mrs. Cindy puts so much time and attention into weddings that it makes you feel as though your wedding is the only event held all year— even as she was planning/hosting her daughter’s wedding there. She was open to my ideas and ensured ways to make them happen. The food was absolutely delicious, and the ice cream bar was a huge hit at the end of the night! I had a last minute issue with flowers, and Mrs. Cindy made it her priority to fix the arrangements to the exact look I was envisioning. She truly takes care of every detail/concern to ensure that your wedding is everything you wish for. I can’t thank Mrs. Cindy and Mr. Troy enough for going above and beyond to make sure that every detail was perfect for our wedding!

I highly recommend The Alexander Room and Terrace for your wedding venue. My daughter had her Wedding Ceremony outdoors on the large terrace on the 3rd floor and the reception was in the large room that can hold up to 300 guest this past Saturday. The food was wonderful. The service was superb. The room was beautiful. Cindy is the owner of this venue and she is great at helping you plan your wedding and reception and goes above and beyond to make sure your event is a success. Make an appointment and book early because the calander fills up quickly.

The Alexander Room & Terrace is truly a hidden GEM in the heart of Metairie. I toured many wedding venues in New Orleans/Metairie/Kenner and none can be compared to The Alexander Room & Terrace. I received many compliments from my guests such as; the food was AMAZING, the parking garage available to guests made everyone's arrival stress-free, the staff were kind, professional, polite, and always SMILING, the outside terrace was large and a nice surprise addition to the wedding venue, the firepits outside were cozy and an added bonus for the unanticipated weather changes in Louisiana. As a bride, there were many things Cindy helped guide me through which I knew other venues would not have taken the extra steps to ensure my wedding day was exactly how I imagined. The Alexander Room & Terrace is truly a hidden GEM in the heart of Metairie. I toured many wedding venues in New Orleans/Metairie/Kenner and none can be compared to The Alexander Room & Terrace. I received many compliments from my guests such as; the food was AMAZING, the parking garage available to guests made everyone's arrival stress-free, the staff were kind, professional, polite, and always SMILING, the outside terrace was large and a nice surprise addition to the wedding venue, the firepits outside were cozy and an added bonus for the unanticipated weather changes in Louisiana. As a bride, there were many things Cindy helped guide me through which I knew other venues would not have taken the extra steps to ensure my wedding day was exactly how I imagined. Full disclosure, my parents run and operate this venue! My mom (Cindy) works with the brides and coordinates everything, while my Dad (Troy) handles the food which comes from the family restaurant- Hobnobber Cafe. So of course, when the time came, I had to get married at The Alexander Room! It's not easy work - cooking the food, planning, decorating, and coordinating your own daughter's wedding. Especially when that day should be just as worry-free for parents as it is for the couple (considering they're paying the bills). But let me tell you, these are the MOST hard-working people in the entire world. I had what seemed like the craziest ideas, from ceiling drapes to hanging flower installations and Chiavari chairs, but they took everything I asked for and turned it into the most beautiful thing we'd ever seen. The room completely transformed into something we'd never seen there before. The food was to die for and everything ran so smoothly that there was no room for worry at all. I'm telling you, if you're looking for the best venue in Metairie, this is definitely it! Shout out Mom and Dad for the best night of my life, I love you so much!!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about the Alexander Room! The space was perfect, the food was amazing, and Cindy and her staff were so accommodating, easy to work with, friendly, and went above and beyond to make my wedding day absolutely perfect! I cannot recommend them enough. If you decide to get married at the Alexander Room you will not be disappointed!
