We honestly had the best wedding weekend at Alila Marea! I grew up in Leucadia and as soon as I saw this venue being built, I knew I wanted to check it out. Because we got engaged during the pandemic in 2020, our wedding meetings started out on zoom. We got to work closely with Bob and Brian and they were both amazing during the process. We got to visit the venue under total construction with hard hats and vests, and we could still see the vision perfectly. Finally, after two years, we had our dream wedding! It was so amazing that we could have everyone stay together at the hotel. The days before, on, and the day after the wedding we had so much fun at the pool with lunch and cocktails. We had a blast at the beach with the beach boys who set up chairs, towels, water, and sunscreen. The staff treated everyone like royalty. It is also amazing having Vaga available onsite for sit-down family meals. Bob and Brian were amazing in understanding what we wanted for our day. They made the contract and legal stuff easy, plus always sent us the payment reminders. They were also helpful in getting the room block set up for our guests as well. Then we were introduced to Amber for the wedding details. We had an amazing time with her at our tasting for the wedding day menu. She was super accommodating to our crazy work schedules. She and all her event staff really spoiled us with delicious foods and wines. She is a busy busy lady, but would always eventually get to the millions of questions we would email her months before our day. The actual wedding day was perfectly sunny. The hotel staff set up everything as asked. Every guest had water and champagne as they arrived for the cliffside ceremony. The pool staff even tray passed complementary drinks to pool guests during our ceremony asking them to be respectful of the wedding. All the signage helped direct everyone to the correct places. The cocktail hour was so stunning overlooking the water. We had 125 guests and that was the perfect amount for the venue. I wouldn't suggest more than that. All of the appetizers were delicious and the bar staff was so kind to everyone. Dinner was also delicious. Oh, the baking chef was amazing with our cake as well! Everyone was so happy which made us even happier! We loved that we could keep the party going until midnight at this venue. A huge plus for us! We could not be more pleased with our choice for our wedding day. Lastly, we then jetted off to Bali where we got to stay at the original Alila hotel that this hotel was modeled after. It was the perfect way to spend our honeymoon. Thank you Alila Marea and your amazing event staff!
