Vibrant and luscious, Amarillo Botanical Gardens is a wedding venue and garden in Amarillo, TX. A number of plots blossom and burst forth with life throughout the center. You and your sweetheart can exchange your vows inside or out, with vistas of green surrounding you no matter the space. Such a location provides a romantic setting, allowing for lasting memories to be made. The story of Amarillo Botanical Gardens goes all the way back to 1929. A group of women came together to form a gardening club. Tackling the harsh climate of the Texas Panhandle, these women toiled amongst the soil, learning about plants and growing numerous gardens. In 1954, under the leadership of Vera Deason, these members formed a Garden Center. Over the years the center was moved and expanded upon, until finally becoming what it is today. Now the staff provides educational services related to plants and gardening while also offering a beautiful setting for people to enjoy. Throughout Amarillo Botanical Gardens there are numerous spaces that you may use for your wedding. The location is also ideal for smaller gatherings, including engagement parties, showers, and rehearsal dinners. The Patio is among the smallest, providing an intimate outdoor setting for you and your guests. For larger gatherings, you can host a wedding with guest lists of up to 1500 people in the Attebury Amphitheater. This outdoor location is spacious and full of grandeur. For weddings held against an idyllic backdrop, the Grande Wedding Lawn is ideal. Those seeking to host an indoor wedding can use the Auditorium Ballroom. This 3,300-square-foot space can accommodate up to 240 individuals. A dance floor can also be set up, making it even easier to celebrate. An additional Event Room and gallery inside functions for smaller nuptials as well. The Event Room likewise works for getting ready on the big day. For small weddings, the Tropical Conservatory is yet another indoor locale. This area brings the beauty of the outside in, with lush plant life and vivid hues.
