If you want the best wedding ever, you have to pick The Amber Room!! From the first time I started talking to Katie, I knew it was the perfect venue. The communication is top tier, she is so flexible and works with you every step of the way! Our day of coordinator Ashley was INCREDIBLE! I swear she made sure everything went off without a hitch. The food is THE BEST WEDDING FOOD IVE EVER HAD! We had a French fry bar and the curly fries were the best French fry I’ve ever had. The service overall was truly the best and I’m forever grateful we picked this venue!

I got married in July and finally have a spare moment to leave this review. I’m so happy with my decision to have my wedding here. I actually had my prom here in 2008 but they’ve revamped in every way since then. I had such a great experience from planning to the day of! They were so flexible and accommodating about set up and timing and changes and all of that. They also made the day of relaxing for me! I wasn’t stressed at all. I never hired a wedding coordinator but this venue comes with one! Gina was great! I actually tear up righting this as I recall how awesome she was. I get compliments to this day about the food, my friends say it’s the best wedding food they’ve had. Hot, fresh, homemade.. all of that! They were also obsessed with the cocktail hour food. The chefs name is Chris. He really can accommodate the menu to exactly what you want, in every way. Doug is the owner, he was great too! So patient with us, as I know not the easiest bride. He spent a lot of time with us, and responded to each and every email of mine! I had such peace of mind from this during a stressful time. My best decision was to have my wedding here, and I’m the queen of indecisive decisions so there’s that. Thanks a million!!

The Amber Room is the best venue in the Eastern NY / Western CT. There is just so much to say! Their location was very convenient for our local guests in the Tri-state area. We also had many guests traveling by plane and this location was very convenient for arrivals in NYC, travel by train with many hotels near by. Quality and value were not matched by the other venues we toured for my son’s wedding. Pricing was fair, there were 3 package choices to choose from but there was plenty of flexibility for my son and daughter in law to customize their special day. The food was fantastic! We did a buffet which the staff handled beautifully. It moved fast and efficiently. Everyone raved about the mashed potatoes! Meat was cooked perfectly. I cannot thank the entire staff enough. They were always there to help during the entire planning, the days before, with the event’s set up and during and after the event. The staff was most gracious, in taking care of the needs of my elderly mother and my 1 year old grandson … as well as everyone else. Everyone we worked with was professional and friendly. Made you feel you didn’t have to worry or stress out. And the venue is beautiful. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy. The only thing I am sorry about is that the event is over, I wish we could replay and repeat! All in all a perfect day and evening, and I truly mean that. Our guests had only compliments for the Amber Room.

The Amber Room was absolutely FANTASTIC for our December 2023 Winter wedding! I loved how professional everybody involved was. What I loved the most in terms of planning was their TOP TIER communication skills. Katie was ALWAYS super on top of the event with promp emails, calls, and meetings. Katie is such a professional event planner and always made us feel comfortable, safe, a LOT less anxious and overall, she is just amazing at what she does! Her whole team too! The Amber Room is a beautiful place for any celebration and we are so proud that it is in our own hometown, what a Greater Danbury Area gem! Food was delicious, drinks were great, wait staff was kind and on top of it. We are so happy we booked our special day with them, for real! Thank you Amber Room!!

We booked the Amber Room in December 2022 and were married there on 10.13.23 and it was a literal a dream come true. Doug (the GM) and Gina (our Banquet Manager) were tremendously professional, accommodating, thoughtful, responsive, and understanding throughout the whole planning process. They gave us their suggestions and experiences to draw from while planning and just about everything day-of was on time and went off without a hitch.They had just finished redoing the ceremony site and it was absolutely gorgeous for our outdoor ceremony. The property lended itself beautifully for our first-look and bridal party photos.Many guests raved about the delicious food, especially the butternut squash and the mini risotto balls.My husband and I had a designated staff member bringing us anything we needed, and she even assisted with bustling my skirt.The cell phone service is terrible, but they do have WiFi and that was a complete non -issue for us since it meant no one's phones went off during the ceremony.Between the care, attention, and quality of service we received, we definitely got more than our money's worth and we are so glad we went with them for our big day.

My husband and I cannot thank everyone enough for making our dream wedding come true on 10/7/2023! If there's one decision you have to make for your wedding to be perfect then choosing Amber Room Colonnade is the decision you need to make. Katie was amazing helping us plan every step of the way and made sure our wedding was exactly what we wanted. From her fast response to emails, all-encompassing checklist of choices and true dedication to her work I knew right away we were in good hands! Gina was our day of coordinator and she went above and beyond through every process including meeting with us multiple times prior to our big day to make sure our wedding was exactly how we envisioned. The day of was so busy and Gina set up our ceremony area, entry way and reception room perfectly and exactly as I hoped. I had many personalized items and Gina made sure they were all placed perfectly, and everything looked beautiful. Due to rain, our original plans had to be changed, but everyone was so prepared that everything went as smoothly as if nothing had ever changed. Patty was great assisting my husband and I all night with anything we may have needed to make sure we were happy. Choosing The Amber Room Colonnade was the best vendor decision we made for our wedding day! I even saw Gina a couple of weeks later for another event and she was so kind and made my Mom, sister and I truly feel like family. We can never thank everyone enough!

My husband and I just got married at the Amber room. The knot and wedding wire reviews were very important and helpful to us when we were deciding on our venue. We would highly recommend the Amber Room. From the start we knew we were in good hands. Katie was incredibly helpful, friendly, and professional throughout the entire process. Katie responded throughly and timely to all of our questions and concerns. Katie helped us through our wedding planning time and made it a lot less stressful. The planning was so flexible. Ashley was just as amazing. She helped us with the day of planning and rehearsal dinner and tasting. Everything went so smoothly on our big day because of Ashley. I knew I didn’t have to stress because Ashley was on it! Whatever we needed, she was there. Everyone was so easy to work with at the Amber Room, so personable, we never had a doubt about anything because we knew we were in great hands. They went above and beyond to make our day so amazing and special. The food was great the day of our wedding, as well as the cake! We can’t thank them enough, definitely check out the Amber Room, you won’t be disappointed.

If I could celebrate my wedding at The Amber Room again, I would in a heartbeat!! My husband and I actually had booked with another venue but they were unexpectedly closing. However, luckily we were told that The Amber Room had our original wedding date available and we were then introduced to Katie who had said \"Maybe everything happens for a reason\" and now looking back she was totally right, it may have been a blessing in disguise. Everyone at The Amber Room was an absolute dream to work with! We had an outside caterer for our wedding and they too agree that the crew at The Amber Room is a great team. We also added on the photo booth which everyone had a ball. The Amber Room tiered wedding cake was very delicious! I can go on and on but if you're considering to have your wedding at The Amber Room we 1000/10 definitely recommend!

I recently had my wedding here at the Amber Room, and at first I was hesitant to have a wedding in the same venue I had my prom 15 years earlier, but I am SOO happy we ended up choosing them. We mainly worked with Katie during the planning process, and let me tell you- she is so sweet, professional, knowledgeable and made every decision feel like an absolute BREEZE. I honestly felt stress-free the entire 10 months of planning all thanks to Katie! She was always readily available and answered every e-mail right away! Melissa and Doug were so friendly and helpful along the way, too. Ashley was there guiding us through the wedding day and made my anxiety almost nonexistent! Huge shout out to the chefs as well, because our guests are still RAVING about the cocktail hour dishes and the entrees! I also chose the Amber Room because they include almost everything in their packages which made planning SO easy and fun. The ceremony and cocktail hour tent were absolutely beautiful as well. Definitely 10/10 and would recommend this venue for any event! If you're thinking of looking into this venue- do it!!!

We do not have one bad thing to say about the Amber Room. We got married yesterday & I couldn’t wait to write this review. This was the first place we toured and felt like family immediately. The planning process was seamless & even though our original coordinator went on maternity leave, everything was still handled with such care you wouldn’t have known there was a staff change. The owner Doug was so kind & helpful. Our banquet manager, Ashley, was the best to work with. Anything we needed, she was there. Helped me with my nerves the morning of & was so attentive. We had people coming up to us all night talking about how delicious the food was. Honestly I could go on for days, look no further. This is the place.

Held my daughter's sweet 16 at the Amber and it was everything we imagined and more. I was hesitant to visit the Amber Room as I didn't want a typical wedding venue vibe for our daughters sweet 16 and from the moment we met Katie & Doug, they did everything to make her party exactly what she wanted. Katie is amazing and so easy to work with. Her expertise and ability to bring your vision to fruition is one of a kind. Moving on to the actual day of the event and Ashley our banquet manager for the night is AWESOME! Her and her staff did an amazing job keeping the night moving and making sure everything went off without error. I highly recommend the Amber room for your event.

Where do we begin?? From the moment we walked into the Amber Room, we knew it was the place for us to celebrate our special day. We were greeted by Katie, who started as our catering manager and now we consider a wonderful friend! She listened to our story, our journey, our wishes and made them all come true. We never felt as if we didn’t know our next step – she was always one step ahead of us. Detail oriented, on top of it all, made excellent suggestions and helped elevate our dreams and visions become reality. As we did a walk-through of the premises, we met the other staff members and were as equally satisfied and started to feel an even bigger connection- this was our place!We had a wonderful, beautiful and unexpected surprise as we found out that we were expecting our first child, we called Katie to let her know…NOT only was she thrilled beyond belief for us but worked with us to change our date with ease. Fast forward to rehearsal where we were introduced to our maître d, Ashley. She, as well, has warmed our hearts! With a previous interaction, at a different event, we attended we were ecstatic that she would be right by our sides all night. Ashley is funny, energetic and filled with love! Having these two amazing women along on our ride we knew our wedding night would come together in the most perfect way…however we never expected it to be the absolute perfection it was. They welcomed, attended to, cared for my us, our families, our friends and most importantly our son with the upmost respect and love. We are forever & eternally grateful for each moment we had with Katie, Ashley and the entire staff.

The best decision we made for our wedding was having it at the Amber Room! From the beginning we felt so comfortable with Katie and she made planning the wedding SO much fun! They were so helpful when it came to picking out other vendors. Every aspect exceeded our expectations! It looked beautiful the day of. All of our guests kept coming up to us and raving about how good the food was. Every staff member was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had our wedding at The Amber Room Colonnade over Labor Day weekend and it truly was a dream come true.We booked The Amber Room in the Summer of 2021 and from the moment we inquired we had a wonderful experience. We met with Doug P who gave us a tour of the entire facility, discussed all of the different packages. He provided us with a booklet which was super informative and even allowed us to place a soft hold on a date while we finished our venue tours. Doug made the entire process (from initial tour to wedding night) absolutely seamless. His response time is unmatched! Doug allowed us to chose a package while also customizing exactly what we wanted for our wedding night. Anything we asked for he was able to provide. Doug even recommended a cigar rolling company and was willing to make arrangements with that so that we did not have to worry about contact another company. Doug also helped us finalize our timeline for the night and gave us insight that helped us choose what/when to do certain parts of our night. Fast forward to our wedding which was perfect. The day of we worked with Ashley who was very kind, accommodating and helpful. Any little thing we asked for she was able to make happen. Even made sure I did not spill any cocktail hour food on my wedding dress!! Doug was able to pop in and congratulate us as well! The entire staff from bridal attendant, to wait staff and bartender were all incredible.Our guests raved about all of the food, from cocktail hour to the late night snacks. ALL of the food was delicious and there was so much of it! We really enjoyed having cocktail hour food in the bridal suite as well so that we could have a few private moments right after the ceremony. The set up (indoor and outdoor) was wonderful as well, every detail was exactly how we asked. And all of the staff was incredibly kind and helpful. The grounds for the ceremony and photos are absolutely beautiful as well. While the venue is located near a main road, you would never know that when you are in the grounds. The Amber Room grounds feel quiet and private which is perfect for a wedding ceremony. From the moment we came for our initial tour through the wedding night, we were absolutely blown away by how amazing The Amber Room is. We were so happy to make the drive from the Hartford area because of how wonderful this venue is. The Amber Room is the best wedding venue in CT!!

OMG! I needed to write this review! From the moment we stepped inside we were welcomed by Doug. I show up to this place with what I thought was going to be an impossible task, but I was mistaken. I was able to work with Doug and his team of very talented and very attentive staff. TWO MONTHS, in two months I was able to have the most beautiful ceremony and celebration. The grounds are clean and beautiful, the staff is kind and so experienced. I mean every time I thought I needed something from a glass of water, to knowing exactly where my shoes were(which btw is not there job) lol the bartender and waiting staff were so patient and kind with my chaotic family and loved ones. Ashley who was my wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing. She was by my side every time I needed her and even when I didn’t know I needed her. Because of her everything went so smoothly. Food was so delicious, my husband loved the sweet chill salmon and I loved the chicken teriyaki. Cocktail hour for my bridal party and parents was extra special. I also thought it was so sweet of them to pack up an extra serving of cocktail shrimp for my mom at the end of the night to take home . Lol she loved it. If I knew having a wedding would have been this easy I would have done it was sooner! Many many thanks for the Amber Room Colonnade Family.

The Amber Room should be anyone's go to for events! They handle anything you can think of so you're able to relax before the big day. They can fill any requests. Plus you can contact the staff anytime if you need to. We used them for our wedding and I couldn't ask for a better, more special day! My guests had an amazing time and my husband and I felt truly like royalty. I would recommend The Amber Room Colonnade to anyone looking for an event venue!

From the moment Salimah and I met Katie to look at the venue we knew this was the place for our wedding. The decor, atmosphere and attention to our needs was second to none. Katie took us step by step through everything and made it a seem less process. From our Bartender and wait staff to our bridal attendant and Ashley our maitre d’ everything was perfect, the room, the food, the cocktail hour and service. We would highly recommend the Amber Room for your event they go above and beyond with everything they do right down to the smallest detail

Highly recommend the Amber room! Our wedding was perfect! The venue is very clean and the grounds are well maintained for pictures. The food is delicious, our guests were very impressed with their meals. They went above and beyond to offer us meat, vegan, and gluten free options. All the staff is wonderful and friendly but especially Gina, Katie, and Maddie. I could not have asked for a better wedding. It truly made our dreams come true!

I recently held a masquerade ball at the Amber Room Colonnade to celebrate my 70th birthday. Katie Bishop (Catering Sales Manager) worked with me on every little detail. In the end the evening was everything I hoped it would be and so much more. The space was beautifully done, the food was exceptional, staff professional. I couldn't have asked for more. Three cheers for Katie, Ashley and the rest of the crew. Individually and collectively you are AWESOME! Thank you for a memorable night.

Katie our Coordinator was a pleasure to work with and was with us every step of the way. Her attention to detail was amazing. Gina our Event Manager handled everything perfectly and made sure everything ran smoothly. The food was delicious. . We couldn’t have asked for a better Venue. If we could given them more than 5 stars we would.

I recently held an 80th birthday party at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury CT and it was everything I had hoped for and more.Planning was made easy by the Sales Manager Katie Bishop who was always kind, professional, supportive, and flexible. She also had great ideas that added to the success of the party.The rooms are beautiful, made even more so by lighting and linen selections.The food from appetizers to dinners to dessert was outstanding. I highly recommend the Swedish meatballs at the appetizer station and my guests raved over the sirloin dinner. My guests could not stop commenting on the quality of all the food. The meals were hot, the servings generous, and I highly recommend the pastry table and ice cream bar which went over very well! The service was wonderful, in my case led by Ashley. Guests commented on the friendliness and flexibility of all the servers and the bartender.I needed additional help as I was hospitalized for the week right up to the event and again, Katie provided outstanding last-minute support. The day after the party, my guests were still calling to thank me and say the party was the best that they had ever attended. If you are on the fence, just book it.

After looking at various venues, we quickly knew the Amber Room Colonnade was everything we searched for in the place to celebrate our wedding reception. During our first meeting with Doug (General Manager) and the staff we felt immediately at home—it was clear that they genuinely wanted to make our day special. Before we left the grounds, we had no doubt that this was the perfect venue.Doug took the time to get to know us and understand what was important to us for our big day. We never felt rushed or pressured. Other venues were strictly business, but at the Amber Room we felt like family.The team was extremely responsive and quickly made themselves available by phone or in person—whichever worked best for us at the time.The grounds were consistently meticulously maintained with ample space and various beautiful settings for pictures. The cocktail hour boasted incredible food, including personalized touches that were meaningful to us and our families. As we took photos, Ray made it a point to bring over food from cocktail hour to us and our bridal party, so that we never missed out. We heard numerous guests remark about the amazing quality and quantity of the food served during the cocktail hour, with many guests saying they were stuffed before dinner even started.The dinner also surpassed our expectations. By taking the time to get to know us and our families during the planning process, Doug was able to suggest meal options that fit perfectly, and he nailed it! The cake and desserts were also phenomenal, and again incorporated personal touches (such as custard cups that were loved by our Portuguese guests)!On the day of the wedding, Gina and Ray made sure everything ran smoothly. From the moment we arrived at the venue, Gina took us aside and made sure the venue set-up was exactly how we planned. Throughout the night, she kept our timeline on track—the reception flowed perfectly. Ray was by our side the entire night. He had incredible input for our photos and timeline, and made sure we also had time to enjoy the celebrating/food/guests! He took care of countless things behind the scenes!The service and kindness we received was unsurpassable. Every staff member we encountered from the initial meeting months before the big day, all the way to the end of the reception, made us feel so special. They were so amenable to accommodate things that we felt were important. Even our vendors commented on how well they were treated by the staff.Our wedding day was beyond what we dreamed and prayed for, and we are incredibly grateful for Doug, Ray, Gina, and our Amber Room Colonnade Family. We look forward to celebrating other special occasions there in the future!!

The Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury Ct. is an amazing place for a Wedding. My Husband Rob and I were married there a couple of weeks ago. We couldn't be happier with how everythingwent! First, the General manager Doug was the best to workwith - he was easygoing, friendly and professional fromthe start, and made us and our whole crew feel very welcome. We couldn't ask for a nicer guy to work with and anyone who has planned a wedding knows you have a LOT of contact withyour venue prior to the event. All our expectations were met and then some. The entire Amber Room staff was friendly , welcoming and made our wedding visions and requests a reality. The service is spectacular and the food was outstanding, our guests said it was the best wedding food they have ever had at a wedding and people are still talking about our wedding cake. It was DELICIOUS. It was such a beautiful day for our outdoor wedding and there were so many beautiful photo opportunities.If you are looking for a wedding venue in the CT area, this is it. No need to look further. You won't regret it!!!! The night started and ended perfectly, We are beyond happy with our experience.

I have not one complaint for the Amber room. I found them off of Google since this was my first event since moving up to Carmel New York. When I spoke to Doug on the phone and he said to me that the Amber room is not cookie-cutter emphasizing of course every venue says that. When I had my first appointment to look at the venue for my son‘s first holy communion party, I had my meeting with Katie. Not only was she helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, personable. She understood exactly what I wanted and was able to envision what I envisioned for my sons party . I want to come to parties I’m a little bit of a control freak, I love the fact that when I would email her she would email me right back with any questions that I had or any concerns that I had. The day of the party I couldn’t ask for more not only did everything that I want was there but from the servers to the to the host everything was what I wanted . Everyone complemented the food, also the staff. Having been to other venues and other parties that I’ve thrown not only for my children and for myself. I’ve gone to other venues for other families occasions I really have to say that I am truly looking forward to going back to the Amber room for my other children’s parties or if I had to throw in the other party that comes up along the way. The Amber room is truly something to consider

I was blown away -Doug and staff are amazing!! They worked with me until the the day of with minor details that MADE my wedding day. To give you some context I basically planned my wedding in 3 months and when I tell you they were wonderful?! They are responsive, easy to work with, and personable. Their packages are great, but also customizable and the food was delicious! I would highly recommend them to anyone I know just because of how genuinely nice they are and their willingness to do whatever they can to make your day how you want it. There is a reason they have so many 5 star reviews and it’s because they literally treat their clients like family. Thank you to Doug and Ashley for your part in our beautiful day! The first thing is did after we got engaged was look for a venue and I’m sooo glad I picked The Amber Room. I initially started to work with Alisha but over time I was transferred to Doug! Doug has been so understanding about all our date changes, made sure we got the exact date we wanted to get married. He was so supportive and understanding through the whole process, his energy was amazing! The day off Gina our wedding coordinator really went above and beyond to make our day the absolute best! With her in charge I wasn’t stressed or worried about a single thing. The staff at The Amber Room were also so helpful and amazing! I truly appreciate the whole team for making our whole day one to remember forever! I will be contacting them for all and any future events as well!

We were completely blown away by our wedding at the Amber Room. Doug and the entire staff were amazing to work with, we cannot say enough amazing things about them! Alicia and the team at The Amber Room Colonnade were AMAZING! Due to COVID-19, my bridal shower date switched numerous times and Alicia was flexible and supportive throughout. All staff members at the shower were wonderful and the space was everything I could have asked for and more. They allowed us to utilize their cake stand and materials to make my day extra special. I have dietary restrictions, and the buffet was able to accommodate me perfectly! (They even made me a bowl of gluten-free pasta!) I would not hesitate to book your event with Alicia and the team at The Amber Room Colonnade. I look forward to having other life-event celebrations with them in the future.

We just had our wedding here and we feel so lucky to have found The Amber Room! Doug followed through on every single promise and then some! We had to make so many changes on short notice including the day before due to weather and every concern and change we had to make was met by so many options from Doug. He never made us feel like we were stuck even when some of the changes had to be made due some of my own mis-planning. Even after we were paid in full and full locked into our contract he always made me feel like I was in total control. He also had a connection to vendors and help as needed. Their staff is friendly, warm and professional. In addition they have beautiful grounds and we got a ton of beautiful pictures. Thank you for making our day special Doug and team!

Cannot say enough good things about Doug and the Amber Room staff. Covid restrictions made planning a wedding such an uncertain and stressful situation and we ended up meeting with Doug about a month before our wedding day to see if he was able to do an emergency switch for us. Doug was quick to react and respond and made sure we were able to keep our original date and made the process smooth and easy. The day of the wedding the entire staff was fantastic and more than willing to make any accommodation we asked for and made sure we had everything before we could even think to ask. The food was seriously the best we have ever had anywhere...I mean even the bacon egg and cheese sandwiches at the end of the night were amazing. I highly recommend using the Amber room for any event you may have

In a year of so much uncertainty, the same went for planning our Wedding day. Doug was extremely honest, understanding and accommodating throughout the entire planning process. We were so hesitant and honestly didn’t know what to expect when we decided to go through with our big day on 10/2/20. It by far exceeded our expectations and turned out to be the most memorable night of our lives. All the feedback we received from our guests was so overwhelmingly positive and that our wedding was the first bit of normalcy they have experienced since Covid struck back in March. I would say to anyone who is on the fence about hosting an even during these times; to go for it! Go for it with the help and support of the Doug and the Amber Room staff!

Doug and the team at the Amber Room made our wedding an incredible experience when we had to pivot due to COVID. They were able to help us put together a safe, but still beautiful and intimate wedding experience in under 2 months. Doug and Alisha were so accessible throughout the process and Gina and her team were stars the day of, making our day flawless from start to finish. The grounds are beautiful and the tented patio was the perfect spot for our 25 person dinner after the ceremony. They took all the necessary precautions to make sure everyone was safe the day of our wedding and everything went off without a hitch. The food was INCREDIBLE and there was so much of it, we were full for days! I don’t have enough words to explain just how wonderful everything was, despite getting married in the midst of a global pandemic. Thank you so much to everyone at the Amber Room for making our special day just perfect. We would recommend them 100 times over for all your event needs.

Thank you Amber Room!! Thank you Gina, Doug, Alisha and the entire staff!! My daughter and her husband were married there on November 9th. We are all so glad we chose your lovely venue. First of all I am fully aware and grateful for the generosity you all showed in allowing the newlyweds to have the wedding in the manner that they did. I know it is not typical and we truly appreciate your thoughtfulness. I really REALLY appreciate how easy you all made process. Doug and Alisha were great and welcoming at the initial meetings. They were very available and were timely with any followup. True professionals. I fully expected it to be lovely and I was still surprised at how wonderfully the room was set up. From the table set up to the cleanliness to the amenities to the lighting to the spaciousness.. All A+. You all took so much pressure and angst off the newlyweds right off the bat and there isn't really a pricetag for that. We had some guests that showed up and were not on the list and their seating was handled immediately and seamlessly. Thank you all so very much. All of our guests absolutely loved the Amber Room. Your venue and team were definitely the right choice. I thank you all for making this such a great experience.

The Amber Room Colonnade was the perfect place for our wedding and we could not be happier with how everything turned out. Alisha, from sales, worked with us to make sure we got the wedding we wanted and was very accommodating to all our special requests. Working with her was a terrific experience which made the wedding planning smooth and easy.The venue itself was perfect! The grounds were beautiful and their covered stone patio where we had the cocktail hour was exactly what we were looking for. The food was outstanding! Our guests raved about the cocktail hour. It was a stream of endless hot passed hors d'oeuvres and the stationary hors d'oeuvres tables were awesome, the mac & cheese was to die for! Kudos to Chef Chris and his kitchen staff.Our reception was a blast! Gina was there every step of the way to make sure everything ran smoothly and on time. Dinner service was excellent and the staff was extremely helpful from the beginning to the end and again our guests mentioned how much they loved the food, especially the bacon egg and cheese to-go on the way out to the bus back to the hotel, definitely a crowd pleaser. The DJ made sure we were dancing all night and the magic mirror photo booth was a blast. Everyone loved it. We had the most amazing reception at the Amber Room. They worked with us for months to make our wedding everything we wanted it to be. The actual day was spectacular from the hall to the food to all the little touches we asked for. We had a large wedding (240 guests) and everyone raved about how much fun they had, how the food was amazing and how quickly such a large group of people were served. If we could give 10 stars we would. On the day everyone from the event manager to our bridal attendant was so amazing, they constantly made sure we both had everything we needed and even came to ensure we had a chance to eat our meals when we were snagged by family members wishing us well and taking pictures. Absolutely amazing! From the very first meeting it was clear that the Amber Room was going to be the reception venue for me and my husband's wedding. Everyone treated us so well and at no point did I feel like anything was out of control. Alisha and Gina were there every step of the way to make sure our special day was just what we wanted. The food was incredible, our guests came up to us at the event and kept telling us how delicious it all was. One of our guests was a chef at a restaurant and he was blown away. The cake was so amazing and it was just what we wanted. Our night couldn't have gone better, and the venue was so accommodating to our eclectic and unorthodox tastes. If you are looking for a wonderful, caring staff, delicious food, and an all around lovely venue, look no further than the Amber Room.

First I would like to say that out of all the reviews I will be posting now that my wedding day has come and gone, I take this one very seriously. We could NOT have gone with a better venue for our ceremony and reception; they cared about making our wedding day spectacular as if we were family. We worked with Doug from the very beginning and he is absolutely amazing. He embodies excellence in every way a bride and groom to be needs leading up to their wedding day and the day of. If I called or emailed (no matter how many times or how often) he was always happy to hear from me and happy to answer any and all questions. As a first time bride I had many questions and things I envisioned would be a part of my wedding day and The Amber Room Colonnade wanted us to have it all, they worked with our budget and told us exactly how we could have everything we wanted. Now let’s fast forward some months and talk about our wedding day. Our wedding day was suppose to have terrible thunderstorms and hail, which was a disaster for a bride dreaming of an outdoor summer ceremony since before I met Doug and he knew it. He waited until the very last second before making a final call, even after I agreed to move the ceremony to a dry location the afternoon of, and decided to surprise me with an outdoor ceremony upon arrival anyway because he knew how important it was to me. I meant it when I said they want you to have it ALL. Perhaps Doug can control the weather too? Although if it were to rain there was a plan A, B, and C in place! Our guests told us and are still talking about how much fun our wedding was and hands down one of the best weddings they have gone to in a long time. I have Doug, Gina, and their team to thank for that. The Amber Room Colonnade takes so much pride in ensuring the very best and I’m not just talking about their service, or their beautiful location, but the FOOD as well. It was OUT OF THIS WORLD delicious and our guests were trying to take every bit of their leftovers (if any) home with them; compliments to their chef! Right before our wedding day I asked Doug for signature cocktails as well, which he happily did for us; they were beautiful, tasty, and packed a punch. They are always keeping up with current food trends and their efforts have not gone unnoticed by me, my new husband, and all our guests. We loved our espresso/cappuccino station during dessert, the craft margarita bar during cocktail hour, our beautiful and delicious four tiered wedding cake, additional dessert platters, and the end of the night bacon, egg, and cheese to-go station. The quality and excellence of food provided during cocktail hour, dinner, and dessert was taken above and beyond by all the food/drink “add ons” we wanted as well. It will be a night our taste buds will always remember. Thank you to all at The Amber Room Colonnade for making my dreams and ideas a reality and for making this process so easy that I made all my married friends jealous. Thank you as well for taking care of all our friends and family and coordinating with our vendors while ensuring that my husband and I were fed and happy all night. You all will always be remembered by us for being a vital part of the best wedding we could have ever asked for. You treated us like family and made our wedding seem like a top priority with so many personalized touches that only The Amber Room Colonnade could do.

There are really not enough words to sum up how wonderful The Amber Room is. We had our wedding here on 6/15/19 and it was nothing short of amazing. The staff was incredibly accommodating and dedicated to making our wedding celebration quite honestly perfect - and it was perfect. The grounds and venue are beautiful and well-kept. I honestly regret making arrangements to take pictures at another location other than the Amber Room, as Amber Rooms’ grounds were beautiful and lush. The food was absolutely outstanding - and there was so much food! Our guests have raved about how excellent the food was. The staff were so kind and helpful throughout the whole entire night - always checking in with us, always making sure we were okay whether it be needing a drink or anything else. It was truly evident throughout the entire night that our guests were enjoying themselves as much as we were. We have heard nothing but positive things about our wedding and how wonderful it was. Thank you so much to Doug, Gina, chef and the rest of the Amber Room staff for making our wedding a night we will never ever forget!

We had the best time at our reception! My family has been going to the Amber Room to various events for years. When it was time to plan my wedding reception, they were prompt in responding, offered various packages to fit a variety of budgets and willing to customize to fit our style and needs. The chef created amazing pierogies, my family raved about them all night. Also, the cake tasted amazing and looked beautiful!! We really enjoyed all the food but had to give a shout out to those. They have great staff that helped the night go smoothly and would check in with us regularly to make sure we had what we needed and that we were happy with the flow of things. Everyone worked well with our other vendors and made it a great experience. Thank you!!

Beautiful venue with breathtaking, picturesque grounds! My son was married there last September and it was an amazing experience for us. Alisha Turchick, the manager, was there to assist us at every turn. She made the day more enjoyable as she helped to ease all of our stress. She is very competent and qualified to ensure that your special day goes off without a hiccup. The ballroom is gorgeous, modern, and spacious. There is plenty of room on the dance floor and we only used half the room! The food was very good, all of our guests made mention of how tender the beef was and moist the cake was. I am very pleased with the decor and how well our day turned out. If you choose the Amber Room you will NOT be disappointed.

If I could give 10 stars I would. My wedding was in May of 2018 and everything was perfect. From the first day of planning, Alisha was there to answer any questions or concerns my husband and I had. The venue, the food and the staff were amazing and I have zero complaints. You always hear of people saying they had at least one thing go wrong at their wedding. That was not the case for us. From the beginning to the very end, everything went smoothly. The food was amazing and most of our guests said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Always a planner now a bride ——I have waited way to long to write this review given we got married May2018, but I’m glad I finally got to it. As a planner I knew what venues were available in the greater Danbury area. But I knew with no hesitation I was going to select the Amber Room Colonnade (ARC) for our big day! The decision was easy. Some have asked me why... 5 things : REAL customer service, on-site decor options, ability to cater to diversity, flexibility, ability to work w/ your budget, and the ability to understand logistics and execute their customers vision. Bottom line The ARC gave us a perfect wedding experience. We could NOT have been happier with the end result. SPACE:With the ARC the foundation is there so I only had to focus our time, money, and creativity on making the space ours w/ all the final touches. No covering up decor from the late 80s or 90s or earlier-yikes! FOOD & DIVERSITY :Their food is freshly made! From appetizers to main entrees&desserts. Nothing “frozen fresh” No sir! Chef and his team make EVERYTHING from scratch! More over it was important to us with 3 cultures represented ... we wanted to express each-in the food. And they nailed it! Our guests raved about cocktail hour. SERVICE-Gina and Staff were on top of everything. True professionalism no one their cell phone or looking miserable. & They were so accommodating and engaging. Everyone working all the time. CAKE -was amazing! Monica created a masterpiece. She listened to what we wanted it was Beautiful work - freshly made on sight! LOGISTICS-they did what We asked and supported our vision and I didn’t have to ask twice. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Alisha&Doug were with me every step of the way. We never felt like a number, or had to be tolerated. They took the time to work with us. You could tell there was a true sincerity in their actions. OPTIONS: With their never ending list of professional vendors it was a one stop shop planning. IF you are busy but want a running start... Ask and you just might receive! FAMILY: ARC are a family so when you work with them - we felt like part of their extended family. They were friends, they were confidants, professionals.... just wonderful. Saying Thank you... seems to small and will never be enough! We are just Completely grateful!

I cannot express in words how wonderful the Amber Room is! They were extremely flexible throughout the whole planning process. We just had our daughter's Sweet 16 at the Amber Room on 9/9/18. It was an excellent experience from our first meeting with Alisa to that perfect night. The grounds are beautiful and our room was perfect. Monica the Pastry Chef went above and beyond with the cake design and my guests are still raving about how delicious the cake was. Gina the Banquet Manager was very attentive and so nice! Our Compliments to the Chef. Everything was delicious from the hors d'oeuves at cocktail hour to the perfectly cooked prime rib at dinner. Thank you Amber Room for giving our little girl a magical night.

I have been remiss in writing this review as I got married almost 2 years ago, but I have to say that I absolutely LOVED my wedding day here (12 Nov 2016). Doug and the whole staff made the experience so flawless and stress-free. They were so accommodating to all my needs, and even though I know this is a business, they never made me feel like they were money first. For our passed cocktail food was spectacular. We asked the chef to have fun with the food outside of our 4 specific choices and boy did he come through! People especially looooved the fried cauliflower (his added choice); I personally have an addiction to the bacon-wrapped scallops.The venue itself is beautiful, especially with the new renovations. Even though this was a November wedding, we were able to pay for heat so we were able to have the cocktail hour on one of the terraces, allowing us to keep the reception decorations a surprise :) I have been recommending this place to everyone! I want to have another event here someday for certain!!

Happy is an understatement with our experience at the Amber Room. To start, Doug and Gina were wonderful to work with from start to finish. They were receptive with all our ideas, offered us great ideas, met with us a hundred times, and we always left feeling confident that our Wedding day would be incredible as it was. The food was fantastic, starting with cocktail hour until dessert. you will leave feeling full and happy. ( Doug created a donut wall for us ... it was the coolest !!!) We also loved having Olga as our attendant that evening. Not only is she lovely , she will do anything and everything for you to make sure everyone in the bridal party is happy ( request her) Our guests were raving and are still contacting us telling us how great the night was and what a wonderful venue the amber room was. My wife and I held our wedding at The Amber Room this past weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect. Doug and his team walked us through every step of the planning process, meeting with us multiple times to show the space and answer our questions. I can't count how many of our guests have told us how the cocktail hour food was the best they've ever had, the main course was the best they've ever had and how our cake was the best they've ever had. From the moment we arrived until the time we left, we were well attended to and the Amber Room staff were quick to respond to needs our guests had. I'm sorry I can only give this venue five stars because they made everything awesome and treated us like family. We explored other venues during the planning process and found the Amber Room offered more bang for our buck and a much nicer room. We're so glad we chose The Amber Room because EVERYONE loved the experience. THANK YOU!!

A Five Star review is a joke in terms of rating the Amber Room ... a minimum of 15 stars at least is where the rating bar should start at!! Jess and I (Ken) had such an incredible experience there! Let's begin with the man that made it happen, Doug ... He's literally the reason why we chose this venue. From past event memories, the decor wasn't something we were fond of and didn't think to book there but Doug insisted we take a look and man are we grateful! Everything was upgraded. Everything. Wall color, lighting, carpeting, flooring, both men and women's bathrooms, bridal suite, front lobby, door knobs (maybe not door knobs but you get the point) ... So the venue looked great enough to consider. We were kinda on board at that moment. And then Doug started to speak lol. His genuine demeanor and eagerness to help make our day special was beyond anything we've experienced. A real desire to help. That's what he gave to us, that feeling of making someone happy. A commitment to make sure we were taken care of ... that's rare to find. He's so great in fact, that after we finished talking (we had two other appts for venues that day), he told us to take a look at those venues and get back to him with our thoughts. He set the bar so high and no one else came even close. So, we immediately called him and booked!! Not only was the venue superb, the staff was fantastic!!! Olga, Gina and the entire crew were phenomenal. They literally tended to our every need. Anything we wanted, it was there. Glass of water, family member for photos, extra plate ... I mean you name it. Selfless and attentive. Simply put, perfect. No stress about where to be or what to do, they had our backs the whole time. And fronts and sides and tops and bottoms!!! Lol ... OH! And the food!? Worth every penny spent. Just wanted to make sure that's understood! We know this review may seem long but it's worth it. We could probably use four more thousand characters. We will forever recommend the Amber Room for any and all events, both large and small. We had the perfect experience!!

I got married the day after Thanksgiving in November 2017. We met with Alisha in August and planned everything in 3 months. Needless to say, that timeline is VERY tight. Alisha and Brad made it feel so easy, calm, and seamless. I was the opposite of a bridezilla - I HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO PICK FOR ANYTHING. Alisha was super patient and kind; helping me through every small step and giving advice to help make our day perfect. And it was PERFECT. Since our wedding was in the fall, we did both the ceremony and reception indoors; and were able to find just about every additional vendor we needed through the Amber Room. Our JP had a relationship with them already, and we used their DJ and photobooth package. All of my guests made a point to tell me how great the food was. #risottopears TRUST ME.There are plenty of areas to catch great shots for your photography (a deer made a cameo in mine), so no need to travel for the wedding photos. The Bridal Suite was awesome. My makeup artist was able to set up two stations for touchups with no problem. I also have a baby on the way, so everyone was super attentive to giving me snacks and whatever non-alcoholic beverages I needed throughout the night. I really can't say enough about this place and its staff. I HIGHLY recommend it.

I got married in August 2017 at the Amber Room. Alicia, my catering manager, was absolutely amazing! She was responsive, no matter when I called or emailed; but above all she was always pleasant and offering a smile! She went above and beyond to make my wedding day perfect. During our site visit she was very thorough and prepared with all the details. The contract negotiation was smooth and I felt like I was getting a great value. Alicia & the Amber Room did not disappoint. The tasting was perfect and our favorite foods were incorporated into the day-of hors d'oeuvres selections. The planning process was seamless with Alicia and we were so blessed to have had her. The West Ballroom for ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception was absolutely stunning. The outdoor ceremony location has a natural runner with the beautiful stone pathway, and we got married right under the trees. There's even a water fountain! All of the outdoor spaces for photos were gorgeous! A special thank you also to Gina, our banquet manager, who picked up right where Alicia left off and executed the wedding flawlessly. A couple of other highlights about our wedding at the Amber Room: 1) The cake- it was absolutely beautiful and delicious! 2) The food- our guests are still raving about how delicious all of it was! 3) The service - from the service we received as the couple to the service all of our guests received, it was great! We didn't received any complaints. Our guests still tell us that our wedding was the best one they've ever been to. That is in large part to the Amber Room, so from the bottom of our hearts we thank you and your team! We could not have asked for a better wedding. You cannot go wrong with booking this venue. You get more than just the beautiful location; you are ensured a team that will dedicate themselves to making sure your special day is memorable, enjoyable, and stress-free!

Alisha, Brad and the rest of the staff were so accommodating throughout the entire process. They were always available to answer any questions. The day of our wedding was absolutely perfect! Our guests have not stopped talking about the food! Everything was delicious, from the cocktail hour to the dessert, no complaints. Definitely five stars. We got married at the Amber Room on August 5, 2017 and after the amazing experience we had, we would wholeheartedly recommend.First, the Amber Room itself is in a great location. It is ten minutes away from hotels and shopping which was perfect for us and our guests. The inside has been recently remodeled and everything from the ballroom to the bathrooms looks clean, beautiful, and elegant. Though I didn’t get to see the outdoor space during cocktail hour, all of my guests commented on how spacious it was and how lovely it looked. While the grounds aren’t the most breathtaking for pictures, they are certainly adequate and we were able to get a lot of great shots. One of parts we loved most about the Amber Room though is the food. Traditionally, I feel like a lot of the weddings you go to serve food in two ways - mediocre food in large quantities or tasty food in small quantities. However, the Amber Room’s food was truly the exception to this. Their food was out of this world and the variety and enormity of the spread they put together was like nothing we’ve ever seen at other weddings. The day after the wedding, my family literally started writing up a list of all the delicious food we ate because we were blown away by it. To name a few (seriously only a few), there was everything from beef empanadas to coconut shrimp (must dip in pina colada sauce!), from lobster risotto balls to sliders, from beef skewers to bacon wrapped scallops, from broccoli quiche to clams casino. My guests are still raving about the food and how delicious it was and how every time they turned around, there was a plate of new tasty treats coming their way! Dinner itself was also fabulous. Portions are very large, but not at the expense of quality. And even with the big portions, most plates I saw getting picked up looked like they had practically been licked clean.Another great part about the Amber Room was the people you work with. Alisha was our main point of contact throughout the process and she was lovely. All of our interactions were always prompt and professional. She is friendly, flexible, and totally willing to work with you on whatever you need. On one occasion towards the end of our planning process, I had mixed up the date that we were supposed to meet with Alisha and when I called to let the Amber Room to let them know I was running late (after already driving for 30 minutes to get there), Dan informed me that we didn’t have a meeting and that unfortunately Alisha wasn’t in. Nevertheless, Dan and Gina said that they would be very happy to meet with us instead. During our meeting, we felt as though they were equally as pleasant and accommodating. And, their willingness to fit us in for a meeting despite my mistake really says a lot about them. On the night of our wedding, Gina was our coordinator and she did a great job of making sure our night went smoothly without ever being intrusive or overbearing. For the reasonable price, you are getting A LOT for your money - lovely, accommodating staff, delicious, plentiful food, and a beautiful, convenient venue. What more could you ask for?

Thank you Alisha, Olga and all of the staff of the Amber Room. We had the perfect wedding and we were well taken care of by all of the staff. Alisha was courteous and helpful from day one. The cake and food were amazing!! All of our guest could not stop talking about the food and the friendliness of the staff. I recommend the Amber Room for any type of event. Let me start by saying if there was a 6th star or Elite Star or something like that, they earned it.We had our wedding planned at the Matrix for 09/10/2017. Unfortunately they went bankrupt and the wedding coordinator actually recommended to go to the Amber Room and speak to \"Doug\". We took her recommendation.Doug - he has a sense of ownership, urgency and (1) thing most businessmen lack is heart. Heart into what he does. He never stops smiling, keeps constant communication, very confident and MOST importantly, I didn't rent the Amber Room, I rented Doug! He ensured everything was in place, on time and to perfection in our eyes. Doug, I personally thank you again on this review for truly making our dream come true. Regardless the person, state or year, I will ALWAYS recommend the Amber Room for everything and anything possible because of your services.Gina - She was our banquet manager ensuring everything is going smoothly the day of the wedding. She checked on us literally, like every 10 minutes to make sure we were not in need of anything. I'll give some examples: we were assigned a personal attendant who made sure our glasses were never emptied, a flame for every cigarette I smoked, kept everyone away while me and my newly wife enjoyed our dinner and followed us to ensure we were short of nothing. Gina accommodated lighting, assisting with seating the guest with her team and her team worked effectively with her leadership. Outstanding leadership Gina and commitment to our wedding.Lastly, the establishment is BEAUTIFUL, celestial! If you want to the see the pictures, follow me on IG or FB to see for yourself. Seeing is believe. The front entrance is high class. The landscaping is something from Twilight (the movie). The whole area is big and open for party pictures and amazing background for your photographer to take. Inside, the whole place was re-modeled with new carpet, seats, paint, lighting... everything. I know this because I had my Junior prom, Senior prom and few other events but it never looked this NEW. Other places are nice, but the Amber Room is sexy. I honestly cannot say enough great things about the Amber Room! I had my wedding on Memorial Day Weekend 2017 and it was more than I could have ever imagined! My now, husband, is stationed in North Carolina, so trying to plan a wedding so far from home was a bit challenging, but Doug made everything so easy and stress free for me. He was accommodating and listened to my needs and wants for my big day and tried everything he could to make it magical! The venue is truly stunning with a modern and classy feel. My guests will NOT stop talking about all of the delicious food, from cocktail hour to our surf and turf entrée and of course the most delicious wedding cake! Brad and Gina were such a huge help in making the room look so beautiful and perfect to exactly how I wanted the centerpieces set up, to the name card table and everything in between. Monica did our Wedding Cake and I had only met with her one time and showed her a picture of exactly how I wanted my cake to look like, and I was more than impressed. My cake was beautiful and more than I expected, let alone how moist and delicious it was. To this day, my guests still talk about that cake. It was truly the best experience I have ever had working with the Amber Room. Doug was there every step of the way and I couldn’t have asked for a better venue to hold one of the best days of my life! My wedding was amazing, and it was honestly and truly because of how amazing the Amber Room was and how Doug, Gina, Brad and Monica catered and cared about making my day perfect! Do not skip this review. We have so many compliments and praises to sing about the Amber Room that hopefully this review will do enough justice to have you stop by and meet the staff. After planning a wedding, it is obvious that customer service means EVERYTHING and the Amber Room Colonnade proved to be Five star.We had our wedding at the Amber Room on 1/14/2017. We chose the Amber Room because they were refreshingly different than the other 15+ venues we visited in CT/NY(many of which our friends were previously married). The amber room was modern and classy. The impressive reception room was large yet still made the wedding feel intimate. The dance floor was beautiful and spacious with a gorgeous overhanging dark bronze tiled ceiling and crystal chandelier. The absolute highlight and pleasure for us was working with Doug Polistena in planning our winter inspired wedding. He provided imaginative suggestions and options for each of our rudimentary ideas and actually enhanced our vision. They did a great job setting up our centerpieces and decorations for the wedding day. Furthermore, Doug and his staff were available and responsive to our needs. Our guests arrived to a beautiful front entrance and greeted by a locally hired valet service (which is a must during the winter). The cocktail hour was a big hit with mini grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters and other creative passed horderves. Friends and family were sincerely blown away by the reception room that included lounge furniture by the dance floor. One of the biggest hits at wedding is a new age modern “photo booth” called the Magic Mirror. I was never one for pictures but we loved the way the giant interactive touch screen mirror re-invented photo booths. Doug’s attentiveness, attention to detail, and stress free persona made planning our wedding fun and exciting instead of a chore. Doug was able to guide us when we needed help and proved to be a reliable source for recommending some great vendors. We were beyond happy with how our wedding turned out at the Amber room. We first visited the Amber Room for a bridal show. We really liked the employees and the food at the show so we decided to schedule a visit with Alisha. We thought it was going to be way outside of our price range. When we met with Alisha she asked us what our budget was and worked with us to make sure we had everything we wanted that day. We got married in October and the venue was gorgeous. We could not have gotten married on a prettier day or on prettier grounds. Alisha, Gina, Olga, and the whole staff made sure we were beyond happy and made our dreams come true. Throughout the whole process Alisha was extremely responsive (I asked many questions and always received a response the same day) The Amber Room made me feel like a million bucks and we could not have possibly asked for anything better.

My husband Corey and I got married on August 27th and people are still talking about the wedding! We can’t say enough good things about our experience at The Amber Room Colonnade. One distinct word comes to mind for us; FAMILY! They really treat you as if you were a part of their family and only want the absolute best of the best! My husband and I knew we wanted to get married at The Amber Room from the very beginning, after all that is where he proposed to me! Can’t get more symbolic than that! From their décor, gardens, landscape, personnel, wait staff, service and of course food, THE FOOD, was to die for! People who came to our wedding that never been or gone to a wedding there, are still talking about it and how wonderful it was! The whole team made everything perfect! Doug the General Manager, Chris the Executive Chef, Gina the Banquet Manager, Monica the Pastry Chef, Alisha the Catering Sales Manager, and the rest of the team made it all happen! We are forever grateful and thankful to have had our wedding there and will forever remember that day in our hearts! Perfect is the only word that comes to mind when I think of my wedding day. The staff at the Amber Room worked extremely hard to make this happen. Doug, Gina, and Brad went out of their way and over the top with every single detail. The room looked amazing! They executed every detail with perfection. The food- OMG!! Chris delivered the most amazing food ever. Every single person comments on how much food there was and how amazing everything tasted. I can't tell you how many people told me that this was the best wedding they've ever been to! Add in the photo booth and the French fry bar for two more huge hits! We had so much fun and it truly couldn't have been any better. At the end of the night, the staff helped me pack up everything and made sure we were good to go. The people at the Amber Room truly care about your day and truly want to make your event memorable and perfect. Thank you so much for making our dreams come true!!

Working with the Amber Room was fabulous. When we met with Alisha, we knew we were in great hands. She was really good about helping us plan exactly what we wanted for our wedding. She was very responsive and very helpful in creating the extra special touches that we were looking for. We especially loved how they sat down they week of and went through every detail and when it would happen. The day of the wedding, the room looked exactly the way we had envisioned, it was perfect and the food was absolutely amazing! We had given the pastry chef a picture of a cake we were looking for and the cake was an exact replica and delicious too! We would absolutely recommend any events at the Amber Room, they are tremendously helpful and they do an amazing job!

My husband & I booked with Doug for our August 27, 2016 wedding at the Amber Room. We researched multiple venues first but after careful consideration we decided the Amber Room was absolutely perfect. I come from a 100% Portuguese family & the Amber Room is the only caterer that allowed some Portuguese influence from the outside - some appetizers & desserts. But honestly, without these additional apps & desserts, our guests said there was too much food, which in our culture is exactly what you look for at a wedding. We met with Doug several times over the course of a year & he was always available & always responded to emails & questions very quickly. The reception was absolutely flawless - the entire staff is beyond amazing & organized - we literally didn't have a single thing to worry about. We brought all of our sweetheart table props, favors, hand made menus, etc. a few days before with the intention of setting everything up the night before. But when we arrived, everything was already complete. The details and hard work that went into our reception went above & beyond anything we could have imagined. People are still talking about how this was the best wedding they had ever attended. Food was plentiful, delicious, and everything was super organized and in a timely manner. Olga is outstanding at her job - organized the bridal party the entire evening. Doug is beyond outstanding at his job - organized and detail oriented. Gina is also incredibly hard working. Huge kudos to Chris, the outstanding chef. And Monica, who baked our amazing cake and went by a couple photos I sent Doug for ideas. She created a lace themed cake which guests have also told us was the very best wedding cake they had ever eaten! In my honest opinion the Amber Room is truly the best at their work. We got married September 10th and people are still taking about the wedding. It was perfect and that is large in part to the amazing staff at The Amber Room. Alisha met with me and my husband through out the process, answered my emails and hundreds on questions quickly. Alisha and Doug made the planning process so easy and worked with us on food choices, finding the right DJ and officiant. The grounds were beautiful for our outdoor ceremony. The staff drove guests to the ceremony area in golf carts so they wouldn't have to walk to far. The morning off they checked on us girls while getting ready in the large bridal suite. The night went off without a hitch. The food was AMAZING. People are still talking about how good it was. The bartender was funny and efficient, no one was ever waiting for drinks. I would recommend the Amber Room to anyone. I want to find another reason to have an event there because the process was so easy and stress free. Thank you Amber Room staff for an amazing night we, and our guests will never forget!

He is amazingly accommodating and kind, and makes great effort to actually get to know his clients. He made sure that everything was perfect, and done exactly as we envisioned. He is the kind of person you want to be working with on your wedding day. Gina, our coordinator was also amazing, and the day would never have worked out so perfectly without her. I could not have asked for better people to work with. My bridal attendant,Olga, was there every step of the way, taking care of all of our needs, and even helping me when photographs were just becoming too much! As for the venue itself-- beautiful. We had a large wedding, so we needed a big space. I was concerned that the Amber Room looked too much like a typical wedding hall, however, Doug and his team completely transformed the space. It looked elegant and beautiful. The food was also a hit! I still have people coming up to me to talk about how amazing the food at our wedding was. All of these things coupled by the new renovations that have occurred (and are continuing to occur) make the Amber Room the perfect choice. I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you Amber Room!

My husband and I couldn't have picked a more perfect place to be married! Alisha the wedding coordinator was such a pleasure to work with! she was very fast responding to emails, calls, and accommodating to ALL of our needs from start to finish. The day of the wedding a thunderstorm started as all the guests were seated, groomsmen ready and awaiting for myself and the bridesmaids, within in 15 minutes the amber room staff moved the entire ceremony from the outside to under the tent outside. They turned a bride's fear into the most organized, calm situation. The ceremony ended up being beautiful and was still outside (under the tent)!! The food was incredible, cocktail hour was amazing, everyone was raving about the big dinner portions calling it \"not your typical wedding food.\" Cake was delicious! French fry bar at the end of the night was a huge hit! the grounds are beautiful, great place to take tons of pictures!HIGHLY recommend the Amber Room!!

I can't say enough good things about my experience at Amber Room Colonnade. From my first inquiry all the way to their follow up with me after the wedding the entire staff was so friendly and helpful. Alisha was beyond great, answered a ton of questions I had, made sure the entire process ran smoothly, had helpful ideas and advice, always quick to respond to any calls or emails. I did not deal with Doug too often but when I did he was very personable, always remembered the details of our wedding and also gave great suggestions. They both worked with us a lot to help us get the wedding we hoped for without breaking the bank.The day of the wedding was even better than I had hoped for. Olga took care of us and was never out of sight. She always made sure we had something to drink and eat, made sure we were where we needed to be at all times, and helped us sneak away if she noticed we were getting stuck with an extra chatty guest :)It was very convenient having the venue be on such beautiful grounds to take pictures. Besides the great service, the food was phenomenal. SO many people could not believe the abundance of food at cocktail hour, and the quality of steak we had for dinner. The cake we got that was included with the package was delicious and exactly like the picture I gave the baker. I have to say that with choosing the lowest priced package I did not expect the food to be as great as it was. I'm hoping to find a reason to plan another event at the Amber Room!

I will start off with saying that we chose this venue because a cousin had their sweet sixteen there and had a positive experience. I found the staff was great until we payed them in full. But even then we payed 20000 were told ifWe wanted a goodTasting we had to basically crash a wedding there.. Then the week of the wedding was awful we were told we could set up two days before then because of rain we weren't allowed then we were and when we did finally show up we found the whiteChair covers we had payed for were covered in stains and holes and when my mom had approached themAbout it the generalManager and the lady whoWas training to be one talked down to my mother yelled and we're just rude.. For a bride this kind of behavior is unacceptable when allThat had to be done was Change the chair covers. He gave us some things to make up for everyone's behavior including his own which is why they are getting 2 stars instead of one but then the day or the wedding I had ordered a groomsmen cake for my husband and they told family members they couldn't have any of it. I had my wedding here July 15. The grounds are beautiful, numerous places to choose from for ceremony sites, I chose a grass area with lush greens all around. I worked with Alisha who was so good. About a month before my wedding date I called her asking to change ceremony sites, and with no hesitation we set up an appointment with her and the owner and went over everything. The day of, it was beautiful! Talk about flexibility. Guests absolutely raved about the hordourves. They said they were so good and they just. kept. coming. That made me so happy! And for dinner I was told there was extra prime rib, so they went around asking if any guests wanted seconds! And the cake - to die for! Lemon with raspberry compote - amazing, I can't wait to try it again in a year! Hats off to all the chefs! And my bridal attendant Olga was so attentive, always there to handle things without me even having to ask. Thanks Olga for making me feel like a Princess for a day! Would recommend this venue to all brides. Service and food was amazing!

My husband and I were married at the Amber Room Colonnade on July 9th and it truly was a magical night. Working mainly with Doug was a great experience. He does whatever he can to make sure you are happy and that all the details are planned out. The other staff members were amazing, too. Everyone was very professional and knowledgeable - and their timing for every part of the night was incredible. The guests kept raving that the appetizers were incredible and just kept coming - and the main course was amazing. Planning a wedding can be a huge hassle, but working with the staff at the Amber Room really helped eased any stress we had. They did a fantastic job. The grounds, the staff, the decorations, and the food are top notch.

Matt and I recently got married at the Amber Room Colonnade in Danbury, CT. We first met with Doug 2 years ago when we got engaged, from the very beginning he made us feel very comfortable and the Amber Room was going to be the perfect fit for us. And that was 100% true, Doug went out of his way to make sure we were always comfortable with the decisions that we made. The entire staff that we had the pleasure to come in contact with from Olga (my day of attendant), who never missed a beat and was always within eyesight made sure I had enough to eat and drink, and Gina the Maitre'D who kept everything in order and running on time. We couldn't have asked for a better day. The food was PHENOMENAL and the grounds and facilities were clean and beautiful. I would highly recommend them not only for weddings but any larger social event, I am sure I will use them again in the future. Thank you again to Doug for putting my mind at ease, especially the last few days before the wedding when things started getting crazy, they were the only vendor to NOT give us any problem. Doug was always available to speak with, and on the days he was busy he made sure to call me to let me know he would call me the next day, that really meant a lot to me. We had a perfect day, and most of that had to do with The Amber Room Colonnade and its wonderful staff.

Where do I even begin? Doug and his team at the Amber Room truly outdid themselves for my January 16th wedding. From the moment I met Doug, he was extremely professional, detail-oriented, organized, and very patient. Throughout my year and a half engagement, Doug remained in constant contact with me. Sometimes it was a few months before I would see him again, yet he remembered every detail of the conversation we previously had. It gave me such a peace of mind knowing I could trust Doug with everything! People kept asking me how I was always so calm during my planning process and it was because of Doug. He was so wonderful to work with and made everything fun rather than stressful. The day of my wedding was the best day of my life. When I walked into the room where the reception was going to be held, it brought tears to my eyes. Doug and his team made my winter wonderland wedding come to life. Adding the silver air wall tied everything together! Monica, the baker, made us a custom cake that everyone could not stop raving about. It was a replica of the Stanley Cup (my husband is a HUGE hockey fan!) I could not believe how she was able to replicate a picture that I sent to her perfectly. Not only did it look amazing, it tasted even better....the inside was funfetti and butter cream!! The food served during our wedding was fantastic! It was so nice that they even sent us home with two extra meals to enjoy the following day. Thank you so much to Doug, Monica, Gina, and the rest of the staff at the Amber Room. You all are truly amazing!

If we could have our wedding at the Amber Room again, we would! Our reception was beyond perfect. The staff was extremely helpful throughout the planning process (thanks to Alisha for always responding to my many emails), up until the day of the wedding (and during!). Our food and cake were delicious! They even packed me and my husband each a to-go container with a full meal for each of us since I'm sure they know the bride and groom don't really get a chance eat at the wedding, and our guests got to-go containers for their leftovers which a lot of people appreciated. Two months later and our friends and family are still raving about our reception! I would highly recommend this venue to any couples in the area who are looking. :)

We were able to create custom menu options, a specialty cocktail, custom designed cake, and they worked with us to incorporate our logo into every aspect of the night. It was truly a pleasure working with Doug and Gina; they are so easy to get along with and truly cared about making that night special for us. I would recommend the Amber Room to anyone and everyone! The Amber Room exceeded me and my husbands expectations!!! Prior to visiting the Amber Room I called with a list of question to find out more about this venue. I kept this staff member on the phone for 45 minutes asking multiple questions. The banquet staff was sooo helpful! They answered every question and had patience with me and my questions. After hanging up the phonr o had to go visIt this venue. I feel in LOVE with The Amber Room Colonnade. Meeting the staff in person was beyond amazing! After my husband and I left the venue we both dreamt about the venue and we knew this was the place for us. They made our wedding day a dream. I was a big planner and there were a lot of extras I wanted with my wedding. Doug, and the staff made sure to help all of my dreams come true. I decided to have my wedding outside and was concerned about my bridesmaids heels going into the ground as they walked in the grass. Doug and staff brainstormed and had a floor put down just so my bridesmaids could walk down the aisle comfortably without their high heels slipping into the grass. I would make weekly lists and call to ask questions that Doug and his banquet staff had already either taken care of, or had ideas to offer me for different ideas regarding the wedding. Prior to my wedding my husband and I sat down with the Amber Room staff and went over every single detail of my wedding. From food, to prayers, to who was walking in and when. My husband and I felt so relieved! We had a stress free wedding with amazing delicious endless food, and we chose a venue that made our dreams come true. After our wedding it feels like we are family with the staff at the Amber Room. If you are looking for a venue that goes the extra mile to add the personal touch then I HIGHLY recommend The Amber Room. You will NOT be disappointed.

Amber Room Colonnade has been beyond what I expected it to be. I am an upcoming bride (getting married in 10 DAYS!!!! EEEKK!!) And let me tell you how amazing the people at Amber Room are. First off let me say that coming into this whole wedding planning madness, I was put under a LOT of stress, my fiancé and I had just closed on our first home and we spent a lot of time looking at venues that fit our NOW very small budget. Amber Room was the only one that fit our needs. Doug and his team have been working above and beyond to accommodate and most importantly, to make sure that we enjoy the process of planning the wedding (without the stress). Even though our wedding hasn’t happened yet, I feel calm and confident that everything will turn out exactly how I envisioned it, and that confidence only comes from the great service you get from Doug and his team. I am so happy we chose to have our big day at The Amber Room. It has made this experience that much more enjoyable. My wife and I had our wedding here back in July 2015. The venue is beautiful and very spacious. The grounds have so many great photo locations. We had a Hindu wedding. The staff was on top of things we didn't even think about. Everything was on time. We never realized how much the staff at a venue would help out. The day schedule was made weeks in advanced by the General Manager and Banquet Manager. We had the Amber Room provide the breakfast menu. We had outside catering for lunch and dinner. The kitchen staff was very helpful and ensured a smooth experience. The food came out on time. We had the venue for a whole day and did not have a single problem throughout the whole event. Transforming the Amber Room from breakfast to lunch to dinner went very well. All of our guests loved the experience.

When the Amber Room said they could customize our wedding they went above and beyond to deliver a magical evening surpassing our expectations. My husband Bart and I got married at the Amber Room on October 3, 2015. We didn't want a cookie-cutter traditional wedding, but rather a cocktail-styled party with food served throughout the night and a classy nightclub feel. From our first meeting with Doug all the way through to the end of the reception with Olga they didn't leave a detail unturned. They took their time to understand our vision and brought it to life. We were supposed to get married outside, but due to inclement weather from a hurricane they turned the tented patio into a romantic ceremony site and were able to change the space, full of guests, into a fancy cocktail hour seamlessly. We continue to hear how great the food was from our guests who were especially impressed with the quality and variety of appetizers during the cocktail hour. Our reception continued inside where large tables were mixed with lounge furniture and food stations were scattered throughout the room. We were super impressed by the cake, which was made on site. It's rare to have a wedding cake that is both beautiful and delicious but the Amber Room did both. From a bride and groom prospective… The planning process was made easy and even fun thanks to Doug. The event staff the night of the wedding was always right there to help, very attentive but never overwhelming. We cannot say enough good things about the staff, whose professionalism was through the roof. You could tell how much pride they have in putting together an amazing event, and how much they really care about their clients. We would HIGHLY recommend the Amber Room to anyone… from the most traditional to the most outside the box. Thank you again to Doug, Olga, Gina and the entire staff.

My husband and I held our wedding at The Amber Room in September of 2015. We could not have made a better choice. The venue itself is lovely – with beautiful, well manicured grounds, stone terraces and plenty of unique picture opportunities. \r\rEnough cannot be said about the General Manager, Doug. He took care of us as though we were family – throughout the entire process and right down to the tiniest detail on the day of our wedding. For example, we had purchased a personalized runner, which we ended up not being able to use as we decided to get married outside in the grass. Doug made a point to find an alternate use for it – ultimately hanging it behind our cake himself. It made for a beautiful backdrop and was a special added touch we did not anticipate. His thoughtfulness was extraordinary. \r\rWe, and our guests, also cannot stop talking about the food. Our guests were remarking about it all night. The chef, Chris, is a master of his craft. The variety and quality of the passed hors d'oeuvres was exceptional and the main course was served to perfection. We had several entrée choices and all were superb. Many guests ended up taking food home as they were so full but didn’t want such delicious food to go to waste. The Amber Room was also flexible enough to create a personalized appetizer course for us. \r\rThe pastry chef, Monica, is also a hidden treasure. Our wedding cake was as delicious as it was lovely, with one of the most unique fillings I’ve ever tasted – our guests are still asking where they can find it! She also created pastry trays with the most delectable little treats including cake pops, mini tarts, éclairs, and custard cups – all of which were truly amazing. \r\rIn short, the team at the Amber Room was not only supremely talented but they were warm, welcoming, flexible and truly dedicated to creating a memorable experience for us and our guests. \r
