Anchorage 1770 Inn was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. Its construction dates back to the 18th century and has withstood both a hurricane and a fire in the office building next door. Current owners Frank and Amy Lesesne purchased the inn in May of 2014 after it had sat vacant for a number of years. They hope their inn and its surroundings will help you make memories to treasure for a lifetime. At Anchorage 1770 Inn, you have a selection of spaces to choose from for your ceremony and reception. You can host your celebration indoors or outdoors, making the most of the area's natural beauty. The rooftop deck boasts breathtaking views, while the gardens overlook the water. You can also have a waterfront wedding from the porches of the main house. Couples have several packages to choose from when planning their wedding at this inn. There is a plan designed for elopements, offering features like an officiant, bouquet, and a cake. You can also stay overnight in the inn, for added convenience. Other packages are on offer, with one catering to larger gatherings of up to 75 guests. Some of the perks of this plan include champagne on arrival, private use of the entire property, and breakfast every morning.

I hate to leave a negative review for anyone but I feel that it is necessary in this situation. The owner forgot about my initial meeting with her but did show up once the staff called her. I was completely willing to forgive that because mistakes happen and she was incredibly nice and apologetic. My fiancé and I loved the inn and had plans in place to have our ceremony and reception there. We booked our rooms and were trying to begin making plans (waiting on a contract) .After a month and a half, if not longer, of trying to reach the owner via email and phone about getting our contract and putting down a deposit we finally gave up and went in to cancel everything. The staff was very apologetic. However, we have yet to receive any kind of explanation or apology from the owner. I am extremely disappointed to say the least.
