Christina Tebbe(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-10-2020 We actually booked the Ann Arbor Marriott after we found out we could not have a wedding at our original venue due to COVID. I am SO glad we found them. They were incredible. Every single person we dealt with was amazing and went over the top to make sure we had what we needed and were ready for our big day. I can't say enough amazing things about this venue. It was so beautiful and everything was amazing (food, drink, EVERYTHING). I could not have asked for a better venue and team to work with while planning my wedding. Reviewed on 14-10-2020
Anonymous (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-04-2017 We were recently married this past January in the main ball room and everything exceeded our expectations! The whole process from booking the venue all the way to the reception was made a breeze by the excellent staff at Eagle Crest. Absolutely incredible service, food, and atmosphere!\r \rJessica Nabozny was our wedding coordinator and we cannot say enough wonderful things about her and her work. With her wedding experience, she truly brought all of our visions together and made our day something out of our dreams. She was in contact with us regularly leading up to our wedding day, making sure we did not have any questions, and always quick to respond if we did. As long as she is there, we highly recommend her and Eagle Crest!\r\r -The Lancaster's Reviewed on 23-02-2016
Krystin Searle(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-06-2015 Our experience was so-so to poor for the amount of money paid for our wedding. I was very excited to book our wedding at the Ann Arbor Marriott - we received a quick response from their contact, but that quickly went away after booking. I would have to call and leave voicemails and send more than 1 email to get a response to a question throughout the planning process. It got to a point to where my now husband had to step in and tell them they need to step up. It improved for about 2 weeks before going back to not contacting us again. It was incredibly frustrating, so I would hire a wedding planner to avoid that frustration. The wedding itself was gorgeous, and the hotel contacts were in constant communication to make sure everything was set correctly. We were supposed to be married at the outside venue, but weather did not permit which was fine with us since the backup indoor location is still beautiful. The golf course is a great place to get your wedding photos done, so you get everything at one place which is nice. However, we did have some major issues. We ordered a steak and a chicken option for our guests, and they served the wrong chicken. We asked for a grilled chicken, and instead they served a frozen pan-fried chicken. It was just not good. The steak was dry, but it was a large portion. We were expecting it to be served with the sauce that was tried at the tasting, but they said it was cooked into the steak instead. I received many complaints that the food was not good - dry, no flavor. I ordered the vegetarian option which was amazing, so I didn't know of a lot of the food issues until after the day of. We did receive a small refund for the wrong chicken being served, which did help with our frustrations. Their clean up crew negated to pickup a box that was used in our ceremony. By the time my husband found it, all of the contents were stolen from it. I was really disappointed with their mistakes, as this is not a cheap venue to have your wedding at and it was presented as a very professional location. Overall, our experience was so-so. It was nice to have everything at one spot and the location itself is gorgeous, but the frustration in planning and all the large mistakes that were made were incredibly frustrating. Kelsey Dobson(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-08-2015 I looked at place as a potential venue and had been very interested. I tried several times to get in contact with coordinator who failed to return phone calls. When I finally did get a meeting set up, it was cancelled. I've found a much better venue, but was very disappointed in the customer service. Reviewed on 16-01-2015

Sarah Houston, the wedding coordinator was top notch. Do not waste money on a wedding planner with this venue. She goes over every detail and makes sure it's to the bride's liking. The reception staff treats everyone, but especially the bride/groom and parents like a king/queen. Any changes we made, were met with a smile and never did we feel like they would not try to accommodate us. The food was delicious!!! Our biggest complaint was there should've been more hand passed appetizers. Reviewed on 03-05-2014
Ia Ko(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-09-2013 We had our ceremony and reception here. Their wedding coordinator and catering director was very helpful getting both ceremony and reception ready. Overall, we were happy with how it all turned out except for a few things\r1. It rained on our wedding day, so we had to use an indoor space as a back-up plan. We were totally fine with that until we discovered the back-up wasn't as thoroughly planned as hoped. \r2. The catering director was hard to get a hold of at times, and we had to be patient with that. Reviewed on 17-10-2013

They were very detail oriented and ensured that our wedding day was flawless. The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations for banquet food. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating and welcoming to our entire party. As the bride, it helped to know that Sarah understood my expectations and executed them perfectly. Leah MacKrell(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-07-2012 We had our wedding reception at the Marriott in Ypsilanti in July. The Marriott is beautiful &well kept. The staff for the most part is professional but unable to handle Lg groups. The majority of planning was w. Dottie. My experience w. the Marriott=stressful. She was unorganized, made promises she didn't have auth to keep, wrong info or non at all about our event, impossible to contact. We hired an event planner for things she wasnt handling. The Venue should be the easy part when spending this amount of $. We resvd the lg Ballrm and did every upgrade.(Bar, cocktail hor d'oeuvres,Food) We had a full brunch the next morn. for all guests w omelette stations, mimosas ect. our wedding had 90% of our guest list coming frm out of town. When booking w. this Marriott our main concern (voiced in 1st meeting w. Dottie) was the rm block! We wanted a venue that could accommodate our out of town guests. Dottie Promised us that this would NEVER be an issue so we went ahead w them. I brought the room concern to her attn mult times. I was reassured that it wouldn't be a prob. no questions. 1.5 mnths before our Wedding the block was full and she refused to extend it. The most infuriating part wasn't the bind we were in..It was the unwillingness to fix it and most of all Dottie told me she had no recollection of any of our conversations! Implied I was lying? Major issue. We had guests w flights but were unable to reserve rms. There WASN'T another event that weekend! The hotel gave rm blocks to ppl attending Beer Fest NOT spending other $ at the hotel. We ended getting the GM/Part owner of the hotel involved. He was apologetic and tried to rectify the issues to the best of his ability. We had to ask some of our guests to room up w each-other or make other arrangements. We were able to get @5 rms out of the hotel last min. This was an unnecessary stressful situation close to our event. Approx 7mnth before our wedding we setup a meeting w Dottie to go over details for our brunch. My mother in law drove up 4 hours. We spent an hour w Dottie going over brunch food, linens ect. A month later Dottie didnt know about it she acted surprised we were having one! We ended up having to email her the details that we previously covered. We were on the fence about where to do our rehearsal dinner (of 100 ppl) but the situation w. the brunch sealed the deal w NOT having it at the Marriott. @1.5 mnths before my wedding the Marriott Hired a new event coordinator-Silvia. She was a GOD Send! She was able to pull together the details! When Silvia took over she had no idea we were doing a brunch. Dottie (once again) didn't recall and had no idea what we needed for the brunch! We had to rehash every wed.detail w Silvia. When we checked into the hotel there were several mistakes w our rooms. I felt like we had to babysit the frnt desk as our guests checked in. We resv rooms for our wedding party & paid for them w same card. The hotel was actually calling those people to telling them they were overbooked and would cancel their rooms if they didn't check in soon. We had to notify the hotel that those rms were already paid for..not to cancel them! There were several frustrating situations along the way even during our wedding weeknd! Don't book unless u will for sure be working w Silvia start to finish. She is very efficient and organized. Doug the bev/food director is knowledgeable and awesome! The food and din service was wonderful. After all the stress Reviewed on 24-08-2012
