Overall, Anthony’s did an outstanding job, especially on all the food. Our guests all had such rave reviews about the cocktail hour and entree. The ambiance and view for ceremony and cocktail hour is also absolutely magical.I just wanted to give future couples an insight into some of the hiccups we had on our wedding day:Last Second Timeline ChangeMinutes before the start of our ceremony, our Maitre D pulled me aside to discuss the timeline of the evening, which included parent dances after dinner. While this may be traditional for Anthony’s, this is not a traditional timeline within the wedding industry. After I told him this is not how we wanted to structure our timeline, he proceeded to argue with me for a bit using pretty flawed logic as to why this is how it should be done. The bottomline here is that if the venue has a specific timeline in mind, this should have been discussed with us weeks before the wedding day. Having this argument moments before my ceremony was extremely stressful and unsettling. All of the bridesmaids who overheard this argument were appalled by the timing and tone of the interaction. It is also important for the DJ to know the timeline so he/she can prepare accordingly. We had already met with our DJ weeks before the wedding to run through the entire night with him, and given that we never heard anything from you guys we assumed you would defer to the DJ. I don’t entirely blame the Maitre D here, he was excellent the rest of the night. I feel like this was more of a lack of communication leading up to the wedding. I would have been happy to have this discussion with you guys weeks ago, just not minutes before getting married.No Coffee?I heard from several of my guests (including my father) that they were looking for coffee and could not find any. Anthony’s later told me there was coffee available and waiters were taking orders at the tables. But given the timing of when coffee is served (most people are no longer at their tables), this could have been done better.Ceremony EntryI was a bit disappointed to see our guests all entering the ceremony through an unfinished reception ballroom. Is this standard protocol for you guys? Our DJ was still setting up and it just wasn’t the best look for our guests to enter into. The venue also only lets outside vendors inside 1 hour before ceremony, so it would’ve been impossible for the DJ to have everything set up by then.Cocktail HourWhile we really appreciated the private room where some food was set up for us, we actually preferred to be out mingling with our guests. It would have been nice to have someone on the staff with us outdoors making sure we were able to get the food we wanted from the different stations and not have to wait on the lines at each station.Mark (Bridal Attendant)On the positive side of things, Mark was incredible every step of the way. He was by our side the entire night, getting us food/drinks/cake and always asking what else we needed. Nothing seemed to be an issue for him. He even was able to calm my wife down prior to the reception when she got a bit overwhelmed with some wedding dress issues. Major props to Mark! We also had a very good experience with Marcello leading up to our wedding. He was extremely helpful and answered many of our questions.Again, overall the night was incredible and our guests had the greatest time. From our perspective, however, it was not perfect and therefore falls short of 5 stars.

Anthony’s has yet to answer the following email sent to them! Franco(day of contact) was horrible. I gave 3 copies of the info Anthony's requested in the boxes he clearly never looked at it.1. He had no idea as to where things should be set up. 2. The seating arrangement was changed and he never helped rearrange people in the first several rows. 3. The officiant saw a sag from water in the ceiling& when she told Franco he appeared annoyed and walked away. The officiant had to ask if the first rows could be moved back so my grandparents wouldn't get wet. 4. He would come to me with a problem and say \"I don't know what you want me to do.\" My MOH discussed next steps and told him several times to stop coming over to me, yet he would still come over/ interrupt my pictures. 5. He told us that we needed to \"move\" or the ceremony would be cancelled. He then said that we were not allowed on the beach for 10 mins after the wedding. 6. He had no idea the order in which anything was supposed to be done. He sent the groom down with the best man. When myself or the DJ tried to step in and organize people he told us to stop despite him doing everything incorrectly.7. He kicked people out of the bridal suite that were meant to be in there. 8. We requested a drink for the groom he said \"You have to wait\

It seems like most experienced couples that have been married for a while will tell you that wedding venues are always just interested in getting your money and that’s about it. Well, that sentiment certainly rang true with Anthony’s Ocean View.Before I start my laundry list of complaints about the venue and its shortcomings, I will say that the grounds and views are absolutely breathtaking. It truly is a picturesque setting with colorful landscaping and exactly the kind of clean, modern beach feel its photos would suggest. It also offers a sort of all-inclusive “bang for your buck” strategy with its food and beverage packages. These two major selling points are certainly what made my (then) fiancée and I fall in love with it.However, after the venue hooks you with its stunning first impression, it is all downhill from there. We had a fairly lengthy engagement (almost 22 months) and found our venue early on in the process. That being said, we were paying clients of Anthony’s for a year and a half, and our original wedding date was smack dab in the middle of the COVID-19 shutdowns (June 2020). At no point in time during that whole process did anyone ever reach out with a phone call. Even after the pandemic was in full swing we never so much as got an email to check in and give us an update on if we would have to reschedule our big day or not. Since we were not assigned a specific wedding planner from day one (we always dealt with whoever was there that day) we were given misinformation about what was available to us when deciding to postpone our wedding date. There was no logistical and safe plan in place for both guests and the wedding party on the day of the ceremony. While we could understand that there was only one tent-covered area that another wedding had already booked, there was no excuse for not providing enough safe outdoor accommodations such as propane heaters, which the dinner patrons had plenty of, mind you.As a bride, that lack of compassion and understanding was completely heartbreaking. The venue and its staff not only did a horrible job as a support system, but it ultimately resulted in the mishandling of details that mattered a great deal to us. We always felt rushed when speaking/planning with the staff, leaving the impression that they neither had the time or patience to care about our needs and wants. Unfortunately, its brazen lack of attention to details was made abundantly clear when our wedding ceremony did finally happen in September.Even with nearly two full calendar years to prepare, the venue seemed to entirely lack the appropriate amount of time or staff to have our event set up properly and running smoothly. Not only was there poor communication with us, but clearly poor communication between staff at the venue as well. We first met our maître d’ five minutes AFTER the ceremony was scheduled to begin, and even after providing a very detailed schedule of events, he remained a very confused and incapable maître d’. Other than the incredible waitress assigned exclusively to the wedding party, there was such a lack of attentiveness to the bride and groom the entire evening, resulting in the guests of honor spending way too much time troubleshooting issues during their big night. Complacency about OUR experience from the top of the organization down was crystal clear that night.

We always knew we wanted to hold our wedding reception at Anthony's but they completely wowed us on our wedding day and confirmed we had made the right choice! Not only was the overall atmosphere-the beach, palm trees and ocean view- amazing for both the experience and photos, but the staff also went above and beyond to make our wedding reception beautiful and stress free. The room was decorated and arranged perfectly, there was so much AMAZING food and it was DELICIOUS (we are still getting comments on it two weeks later) and everything was completely COVID compliant. Our maitre d', Franco, was also lovely, he was very communicative with us on how we wanted things to flow through the night, and was there with warm towels and a mirror after the cake cutting for us to clean ourselves up with. Overall we feel we got the best wedding experience for our money, Anthony's truly is the best in the business, they know what they are doing and do it well. We could not be happier with how our wedding reception turned out!

The beach setting without having to travel is a plus, the food was delicious and everyone was so helpful. I actually just spoke to a friend who attended and he said his wife has allergies and when they told one of the servers they basically made her her own food, which I had no idea happened. Everyone loved the food, there was so much variety, it was almost impossible to not find something you liked. The best was the take home food provided to bride and groom at the end of the night.

I actually just spoke to a friend who attended and he said his wife has allergies and when they told one of the servers they basically made her her own food, which I had no idea happened. Everyone loved the food, there was so much variety, it was almost impossible to not find something you liked. The best was the take home food provided to bride and groom at the end of the night.

We had the best wedding thanks to Anthony's Ocean View. Everything was absolutely perfect and they were so attentive to all of our needs. The ceremony space was absolutely beautiful and the Paradise Ballroom was everything I wanted and more. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect experience and our guests didn't stop raving about how much they enjoyed it! We had a stations wedding and there was SO much food. Cocktail hour was delicious and I felt that everything was being taken care of by the amazing staff. They were also really good about catering to food allergies! Overall I would recommend this venue to ANY bride. I was really impressed and grateful that they made our wedding unforgettable!

Anthony’s took such good care of us!!! Thomas was our assistant all night and boy did he work hard!!!! People tell us that this was the best wedding they’ve ever gone to and I give Anthony’s all of the credit!!!! I was born & raised in Clinton, CT, moved to Michigan a few years ago, and having my wedding in CT on the beach has always been a dream. Living so far away from my wedding location always felt challenging to plan, well I was COMPLETELY wrong! Anthony’s ocean view has outdid themselves. When I was first looking at Venues I booked a walk through of Anthony’s and met with Consultant Andrew (amazing person 🤗) in Oct 2018, this man is one of the best. He will go into details about how at ease Anthony’s makes you feel on your wedding day. Every single thing Andrew explained to me at our first meeting, happened! Living in Michigan and planning my wedding in CT was honestly so smooth, not a hiccup from day 1 of meeting Andrew to the night I walked out the door of Anthony’s on my wedding night. He answered every email with quick response, was patient and accommodating with how far I lived. He made great recommendations for DJs, and preferred vendors, and showed me how a bride and groom are suppose to enjoy their wedding day, and that’s what we got to do. Planning this wedding was so fun!Anthony’s allows you to drop off bins and they will set up all your wedding day items (entry table, guest book, easels for signs, toiletry baskets, etc) and put them exactly where you want them. This part was amazing for me. I wanted to just show up and enjoy my day, and that’s what I did. Our wedding day was July 4th 2019, we had our ceremony on paradise beach and reception in the paradise room upstairs. Highly recommend getting married at Anthonys beach, the pictures are epic, your guests will thank you!We got introduced to Thomas as our coordinator for the day, this man is so professional and his demeanor is spot on. He made our night run so smooth, we made some last minute changes to our schedule so our photographer could get sunset photos, & firework photos, and Thomas professionally communicated this to all the vendors about the changes and it was so smooth. He made my wedding party feel at ease when instructing them to walk down the aisle. My parents loved him! So did I 🥰, the day couldn’t have been as smooth without Thomas! Our maître d’ for the night was Elisa, this girl was on point👌🏽, she was the nicest girl and was so professional as well. She held my dress up as we prepare to walk down the aisle, every time I or my husband turned around, she was there asking if we needed water, drink, food, help, anything! She helped my wedding party if they needed anything, it was a hot day, and she was there with water whenever we needed it. Thank you Elisa!The food is to die for, the atmosphere and location is out of this world, you feel like you are sipping drinks on a tropical vacation in Tulum Mexico 😂, the service level of every single person I interacted with was so professional. They clean up all your items and put them back in your bins. My guests have been raving about this wedding. If you are a bride that wants to thoroughly enjoy your wedding day, and not worry about 1 single small detail, you have to book this venue. I loved my wedding, I loved planning it, I loved every minute of my day! We were treated like VIP’s every single time we visited and our calls/emails were quickly answered. The food was delicious and plentiful! The staff was attentive and they made sure that our day flowed properly. All of our guests loved the venue and decor, and couldn’t stop raving about the food! The pictures on the beach with the palm trees are amazing and if you get the Lily Room, you have access to the the beautiful koi pond. They helped make our wedding day special and we felt like king and queen for a day!

Anthony’s is the best place to get married in CT!I have been to a few weddings in New England and the Tri-state area and I out of all of them I think that Anthony’s is the best. My wife and I chose to have our wedding at Anthony’s after looking at a lot of other venues. At the time, we chose it because of the beautiful scenery, the convenience of having the ceremony and reception at the same place, and the food, which is amazing. But what ended up impressing us the most about Anthony’s was the organization and professionalism of the staff.We got married in late July of this year with a 7PM ceremony on the beach to take full advantage of the beautiful sunset. There is no place like Anthony’s at sunset- palm trees overhang the arch, the sunset in the harbor is a bright red-orange, and sailboats from the local yacht club decorate the harbor… just beautiful. Leading up to the wedding day, we received detailed instructions on what we had to do to make sure that everything we needed to drop off got placed correctly during the ceremony and reception. It was all very organized. We had a point of contact throughout the whole process in case we had any questions. They were also able to accommodate a last-minute place-card change without an issue.The best part of the whole experience was the service during our wedding. As a groom, your boutonniere will fall off at least a dozen times from all the hugs you get and as soon as it did for me, a member of the staff swooped in and fixed it! They guided us through the whole day and made it feel so easy! Our Matrie’d was on top of everything! He always asked us if we needed anything and made sure that we were OK. It was like as soon as we needed anything, someone was there to take care of it. They even made sure that we had an opportunity to eat dinner, which I know is not something that all couples get to do at their wedding if things aren’t organized. I can’t say enough about how great the staff was at our wedding.After the wedding, lots of our guests complimented our choice of venue. Everybody loved the food, the scenery, and they were really impressed with how well it was organized. If you want a beautiful ceremony and stress-free reception, there is no better place than Anthony’s!

Absolute perfection. My new wife and I could not be any happier with the way our wedding turned out. Our guests had an amazing time and had nothing but wonderful things to say about the venue, the food, the view, the ceremony. It was all so perfect. If we had to recommend anything it would be to do the stations option! The amount of food and the options was so amazing and so well priced. Unfortunately as the brides it was hard for us to enjoy every part of what the venue offered, but we are so looking forward to checking Anthony's out at the events they offer throughout the year. If you ever dreamed of a destination wedding, this venue is the place for you. All our expectations were blown out of the water. Thank you Anthony's for everything!

Our maitre d Matt was so very helpful walking us through everything the day of. We had our wedding on June 30, 2017. A Platinum Wedding and it was absolutely spectacular. The service is top notch and the food is incredible. We had the Martini bar and cigar bar with our package as well and guests loved it. My guests said without a doubt the best wedding they had ever been to and most of my guests have been to a lot of weddings as we are an older couple. We also had our Ceremony here at the Beach and it was picture perfect. It felt like you were at an island resort. I have to emphasize that the service from all the staff members is impeccable. She was always willing to answer my questions via e-mail or over the phone. My only disappointment with the planning process was some miscommunication and administrative changes that occurred over the planning process that lead to some confusion and extra money needing to be spent by my family to cover microphones and speakers at the ceremony site and extra seating for all of my guests. Overall, the planning process was relatively smooth.On the day of my wedding, I was greeted and ushered to the Bridal Suite where we were given champagne and privacy to change into our gowns and prepare for the ceremony. Our assistant, Ana, was very accommodating and helpful. The maitre d' on staff that day was Brian. I found him to be a little overbearing and he came off a bit rude. And he and the DJ were at odds during the whole reception regarding the timeline of events, and he sent my bridesmaids down the aisle prematurely before the string quartet could switch songs, but overall it didn't affect the overall success of the day.My favorite part of the day? THE FOOD! AOV has remarkable Italian food, and we got so much food included in our package. Incredible appetizers, entree options, and full dessert table brimming with pastries! Also, I am required to eat Gluten Free due to celiac disease and they were very accommodating to myself and a few guests that had special dietary restrictions. Overall, the food was a great value for the price. Overall, I give AOV 4 stars. Beautiful ceremony and reception venue. EXCELLENT food. Average staff/customer service.

And he and the DJ were at odds during the whole reception regarding the timeline of events, and he sent my bridesmaids down the aisle prematurely before the string quartet could switch songs, but overall it didn't affect the overall success of the day.My favorite part of the day? THE FOOD! AOV has remarkable Italian food, and we got so much food included in our package. Incredible appetizers, entree options, and full dessert table brimming with pastries! Also, I am required to eat Gluten Free due to celiac disease and they were very accommodating to myself and a few guests that had special dietary restrictions. Overall, the food was a great value for the price. Overall, I give AOV 4 stars. Beautiful ceremony and reception venue. EXCELLENT food. Average staff/customer service.

This is a beautiful venue with great food. Unfortunately it is like a wedding factory and lost the personal touch. The cocktail hour with raw bar was amazing, all food courses were delicious, and cake/cupcake choices were excellent. The service was disappointing because everytime you walked away from the table whether your glass or plate was full or partially full, it was taken by the wait staff. Each person at a table was not served together. A few guests that had the vegetarian option were forgotten and several wait staff needed to be made aware. Having specific wait staff for certain tables would improve this.

This venue is beautiful and the staff was great the day of our wedding. Leading up to our wedding, our maitre d, Alberto, retired one month before our wedding. He did not tell us this was happening nor did anyone from Anthony's reach out to let us know about the transition. I called the venue 2 weeks before the wedding to speak with Alberto only to be told he retired. It was very unprofessional to find out the way we did. We had no maitre d leading up to the day of our wedding. Alberto had confirmed everything we wanted to do and when we arrived to drop our items off and go over everything, we were given a hard time about the place cards being put into the seashells we ordered. We were given the wrong description of one of the pasta choices. Not having a maitre d really made us have no track of time during the night so we missed being able to do various pictures since we had no concept of time when things would be happening. It was a little disappointing. A lot of smoke and mirrors happening at Anthony's. However, the day of, our guests didn't know any of our frustrations. Everyone enjoyed their food and thought the venue was gorgeous. We had a package with many courses of food. Anthony's did a great job of spacing out the courses so our guests could dance in between. The mini intermissions were a really nice touch.

Anthony's was difficult to deal with during the planning process. They are a true wedding \"factory\" and lose sight of the individual human aspect of weddings. They expected the bride to bring 200 napkins home 2 days before the wedding to fold them herself. They forced us to pay gratuity on seats that didn't fill, served alcohol to a 10 year old girl that ordered a Shirley Temple and charged us premium open bar on kids. The venue was set up incorrectly but they were able to fix it before the wedding started. They started cleaning things up and putting things away at 9:00 pm when the wedding ended at 11:00 pm.With that being said, the wedding was BEAUTIFUL and the venue is gorgeous. If you can get around dealing with some difficult pieces, it is worth having the wedding there. The food was delicious and everyone had fun. For guests who did not know about some of the prior difficulties, they had a blast! It turned out being amazing the day of but it was a bit of a rough road to get there.

Anna was a superstar she was so accommodating and so sweet to me my husband and my whole family. Alberto was a star as well he made sure everything was perfect like it was between the ceremony all the way until the end. Any one who is looking to get married at a beautiful but affordable place in CT Anthonys is the place to go. Working with everyone there from Alberto to Cheryl and the whole entire staff has been such a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend it.

Anthonys ocean view was very easy to work with. They don't suggest a rehersal dinner and truthfully you don't need one because they are so organized. The Italian style food is incredible, but unless you go to an event or bridal show prior to your wedding, they do not provide tastings. The drinks are top shelf liquor. The Maitre'd assigned to your wedding day will help you through everything and be there to help guide you to each part of your ceremony and reception. Our room was set up exactly as planned out, the lighting and curtains we chose were beautiful. The happy hour was a huge hit with our big Italian families and the gorgeous beach setting really tops it all off. Our one and only complaint was the issue of hearing the wedding next door during our best man/maid of honor speeches. We were assured by staff that this would be well coordinated and this wouldn't be an issue, which it wasn't... except during the speeches. This seems to have been lack of communication with the Maitre'd and DJ on timing of starting the speeches, a few more minutes would have made a BIG difference. Thankfully we noticed the noise more than our guests did, probably because our sweet heart table was next to the adjoining wall so we were closest to the noise.Also be aware, If you're planning to have your ceremony on the beach, there's not an appealing back up plan if weather does not permit. Overall Anthonys helped deliver the wedding of our dreams and we couldn't be happier. We rate 5/5 for food and drinks 4/5 for overall rating. Brian and Anna were a huge part of our day making it the best they possibly could for us :-)

I was so excited to have my daughters wedding there, it was always her dream. They showed us all the rooms available for her day.\rIt is a awesome place and beautiful view.\rBUT the day of her wedding, they cut the large room we paid for in half. we were all pushed together. Anthonys was amazing!! I got married on August 28th, 2015. I had Thomas as my coordinator, he was wonderful. He was attentive, I always had what I needed, and he made me feel at ease! The staff was wonderful, especially Franco who took care of everything for the groom and I.The food was outstanding and people are still raving about it. There was everything you could want and then more. The venetian table was amazing! It wasn't a table it was the whole hallway. I have gorgeous sunset pictures on the beach, just a beautiful venue!! I recommend it to everyone.

She gave wrong information on a few occasions which led to some unneeded stress. Once we switched to Andrew/Thomas for the planning and day of everything was perfect! It is a beautiful venue with amazing food!

My wife and I booked Anthony's Ocean View for our wedding back in October 2014 (I'm writing this from her knot account). Anthony's hit almost every checkbox that we wanted, however the main thing we were concerned about was that Anthony's will host multiple events at one time, as they have 3 separate event rooms. Despite the coordinators promises that everything would be separate and that we wouldn't notice the additional events, this was not the case and there were several issues with this setup the day of our wedding. \r\r1- The rooms were not sound proof. We were told we would not be able to hear anything, but music from the neighboring room was VERY clear in our room during my father in-law's and best man's speech. This was obviously pretty upsetting as it was difficult to hear them and it was supposed to be an emotional moment- not one with Little Wayne playing in the background. I will say once our DJ was playing music and the dancing on our side began we could not hear anything else. \r2- We specifically bought toiletries and little gifts, such as sandals for the women, and placed them in the Lily bathrooms for our guests to use. We were told that the bathrooms were for the Lily rooms use only, and that the other rooms had their own bathrooms. It really would not have been an issue if other guests were simply using the Lily bathrooms, but when those guests are using the items we paid for and taking the sandals and such, we were not happy. We paid for those items so our guests would be comfortable, not for others. Anthony's did nothing to stop this, and I’ll say it wasn't just one or two items taken, the vast majority of toiletry items and gifts were not used by our guests. We believe that once the other parties knew about the items in our bathroom, they started coming there specifically to use those things since their bathrooms did not have them. \r3- The outdoor patio area was not closed off. There were children and guests from the other weddings running around outside our outdoor patio area because the gates were all left open. This wasn't a major issue, but again-we specifically asked the coordinators about having multiple events, and how that would affect our wedding-and they told us straight up that it wouldn’t be an issue.\r\rThe biggest issue we had with Anthony's was that after our wedding, we tried to contact the owners and got zero response. We called to try to get in touch them, but were told to write emails and they would be forwarded to the owners, which we did. We got no response. We followed up 2 weeks later and told them our issues again, but got no response. We specifically asked Anthony’s employees if our emails were being sent to the owners and they confirmed that they were, but we got nothing back. We were NOT looking for any refund or any special treatment and literally wrote that in the email. What we asked for was for Anthony's to acknowledge the issues we had and say they'd take steps to prevent this from happening to others...Almost 4 months later, still no response. \rThe unfortunate part is that the workers at Anthony's were great, our food was delicious and our coordinator (Alberto) was very helpful, my wife and I just felt mislead and lied to about the additional events interrupting our wedding. Bottom line, we had a fun wedding at Anthony's but had we known about all of the issues and the unresponsive owners, we probably would have chosen another venue.

My husband, parents, family and friends could not say enough about Anthony's Ocean View. The staff is welcoming, charming and perfectly professional. We got married this past September and we felt like we were away on an island. If you're looking for a beach setting without the travel then we highly suggest you take a visit to Anthony's. Our family could not believe they were in New Haven, the setting is absolutely breath taking and the photos of our ceremony on the beach are more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. The day of our wedding the ambiance was dreamy and the food was amazing. Brian was our maitre d and he took care of us not only on the day of, but was extremely accommodating for all of our visits leading up to the big day. \rEveryone at Anthony's Ocean View, we want to thank you for being such a large contributor to the best day of our lives.

My husband, parents, family and friends could not say enough about Anthony's Ocean View. The staff is welcoming, charming and perfectly professional. We got married this past September and we felt like we were away on an island. If you're looking for a beach setting without the travel then we highly suggest you take a visit to Anthony's. Our family could not believe they were in New Haven, the setting is absolutely breath taking and the photos of our ceremony on the beach are more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. The day of our wedding the ambiance was dreamy and the food was amazing. Brian was our maitre d and he took care of us not only on the day of, but was extremely accommodating for all of our visits leading up to the big day. \rEveryone at Anthony's Ocean View, we want to thank you for being such a large contributor to the best day of our lives.

Anthony's is phenomenal, all of our guests were very impressed. The food and service was great. The only downside was that we were told that we were the only wedding that day however there was another wedding right after us and the guests were standing behind our guests/ceremony and we not quiet which was very disappointing.

Overall service was great, the food was great, the reception area was perfect, everything was arranged the way i wanted it to be. We had the most amazing wedding! From top to bottom every detail was taken care of! \rAnthony's Ocean View catered to my every need as a bride and calmed all of my nerves! From Marcelo helping and reassuring us throughout the process, To Katarina making sure EVERY last detail was exactly how I wanted it, all the way to the kindness of Brittany our bride/groom server who was super sweet and helpful and actually made sure we ate!!! \rWe were also given the royal treatment every time we went there. Always offered wonderful refreshments and a caring ear. For our final details meeting we got held up for a few minutes because they were so busy and Anthony, Katarina and their staff served us an amazing spread of Italian meats, cheeses and appetizers while we waited! They were just phenomenal and always overly hospitable. \rAnd okay I am Italian so can we just talk about the amazing food!!! Oh my goodness! Our main concern when searching for a venue was that the food needed to be outstanding. And let me tell you we hit the JACKPOT!!! Our guests were sooo extremely happy with EVERY last piece of food down to the extraordinary venetian dessert table! Oh my goodness, for someone who is in LOVE with sweets, I was in heaven and so was every other person in the room! \r\rThe décor of the venue is just breathtaking and it is a small little piece of island wonder in CT!!! From the gorgeous beach for our ceremony to the amazing garden for cocktail hour, our guests were also given the most beautiful, royal treatment that we had already experienced personally.\r\rWe could not have been happier with our choice of Anthony's Ocean View. Anthony's Ocean View made the perfect wedding venue! We got married on September 7, 2013, on a gorgeous day in the Gazebo in the Lily Garden! The views of the Long Island Sound were stunning and we felt like we had a destination wedding without the expensive Airfare! From the cocktail hour to the sit down dinner, the food was delicious, the bar was flowing, and the dance floor packed!! All of our guests commented on the venue as being \"wonderful,\" \"beautiful,\" \"awesome food,\" \"amazing!\" Our server was Ana, who is the BEST! She paid attention to me, the bride, always had a glass of wine ready, and was ready in the wings for bathroom trips, etc!! If there was one issue with ANTHONY'S, I would point out that they do NOT hold rehearsals, so it gets a little confusing for the wedding party the day of the wedding bc they don't know what to do. Also, we dealt with a different wedding consultant each and every time we went there or called during the planning process...which was a little concerning and frustrating, but in the end EVERYTHING was perfect! we had a fantastic experience and will remember our wedding forever!!

We loved the view; my guests were very impressed. The staff was incredibly sweet and the food was never ending!!! It was all delicious and elegant. My husband and I had our wedding at Anthony's on May 4, 2013 and it went flawlessly. On the wedding day, they had every detailed covered. The venue is beautiful. Your guests start with a cocktail outside in their gardens that had waterfalls and overlook the beach. We did not attend our cocktail hour, but our guests keep raving about how much food was available. After the cocktail hour, guests are escorted inside for the reception. During the reception, the wait staff was attentive. The food took a bit long to serve for the main course, but we had a lot of guests. We had one consistent complaint from everyone. There was too much good food. I don't know how they serve so much of it! The two drawbacks of Anthony's is that if you reserve one of the rooms and the other side has a wedding, you can hear the music from the other wedding sometimes. They should consider investing in a heavier, more sound proof wall. Second, at the end of the process, Rob, our original maitre d', did not reply to my wedding coordinators' emails and went MIA. Not sure what happened there, but it caused some avoidable confusion. We were a bit disappointed with his performance at the end, but the other maitre d' that took over for him did a fabulous job. Despite this hiccup, we were very satisfied how the actual reception went and are happy with our decision of choosing Anthony's.

They gave all of our guests to go containers and let them take desserts from the venetian table home, since everyone was so full from the amazing appetizers and dinner. My father in law told the waiter how much he loved the prosciutto and they brought him a whole container of it and mozzarella to take back to the hotel with him. Could not have been any better. \r\rThe food was amazing, if I didn't already say it. My guests are still talking about it!

The day of the wedding I had one staff member who's soul purpose that day was to help me and my husband. He was amazing! We also had one waitress who only took care of our every food and drink need. She was great too. My family and friends are still talking about the great food, beautiful room, gardens, and beach ceremony. I would highly recommend Anthony's for your wedding!

The staff at Anthony's were wonderful! They answered any and every question we had and were great to work with while planning. We hire Anthony's Ocean View to cater our wedding even though we were not using their venue. Alberto was amazing. He worked to ensure that we had everything that we wanted and needed. The staff present on our wedding day was incredible. they were very professional and helpful. Everything went smoothly and of course the food was amazing. We got lots of compliments and would highly recommend them for others.

I don't have anything new to add, just that everything at Anthony's was amazing: the food, the service, the ambiance, the price (Sunday wedding). I originally wanted a destination and Anthony's was a great compromise to this. Everyone raved about how amazing the wedding was!

my wedding reception at Anthony's was amazing! With the beautiful weather, our beach photos were gorgeous! Our guests are still raving about the beautiful facility and wonderful food! We are so pleased we chose Anthony's Ocean View!

Everything was what I had pictured they had executed the wedding reception perfectly. The only suggesting to brides and their party, is if you select buffet, get your own plate rather than waiting for the staff to bring to each piece of the meal. It would be quicker and you won't miss anything. Marcello was great with last minute changes and made sure we were good to go.

I had 200+ at my wedding and the \"Grand Ballroom\" - This venue is absolutely beautiful! I have people come up to me who did not even attend the wedding saying it was gorgeous - also comments like \"a Sex & the City\" type wedding! \"A wedding people only dream about\"! Service before was soso there was some things i would change - but overall great experience!

I can go on forever about how much I loved this venue, but I’ll try to make it short and sweet\r1) The venue is beyond gorgeous. The gardens and beach are amazing, and the recently renovated interior is clean and beautiful.\r2) The food was amazing! You will not have a typical “wedding dinner” at Anthony’s. My guests cant stop talking about how fantastic the food is! \r3) The service was also amazing. They were very helpful in the wedding planning process, and on the day of the wedding, there was a staff member with us every step of the way, helping us in any way they could! They held my bouquet and train, they fixed me a plate of food during the cocktail hour, got us drinks when we needed them….we got the royal service. \rThe prices are definitely higher than other venues, but you get what you pay for. Compared to other weddings I've been to, there was more food, and BETTER food! It was worth every penny. \rI cant imagine having my wedding anywhere else…

Everyone at anthony's were amazing. They all went above and beyond for us. We felt like a king and queen. Everything was perfect! The decor, the tons of food, and the warm hospitality. They even wrapped up some leftovers in huge trays!

Great service, food, atmosphere. Our sales person wasn't our favorite and she wasn't even there the night of our wedding which was fine with us. Our maitre'd and his attentive staff catered to our every needs. The food was outstanding and melted in your mouth! Their private beach was where our ceremony was, which was a great start to the night. Our maitre'd worked with us to make sure everything would be perfect.....which it was!!!

Customer service is the first thing that I notice. From the second I stopped in to check out ANthony's we were so impressed. Marchello was sooo accommadating and easy! Made the whole planning process smooth....Never felt pressured...Food was awesome too...ZERO complaints!

I don't know if on purpose(thinking the couple was supposed to be facing each other) or by accident...\ralso, we had 7 no-shows, and were told we could take the meals home, but we didn't get anything at the end of the night.

I chose Anthony's for the view. I had my wedding in February, and I wanted to at least have some part of \"beach\" at my wedding. They were very accomodating with making my winter wedding as wonderful as they could. I had Alberto, who is the BEST, help with the plans. He was there on the wedding day, had a throw away bouquet made, was there with us with extra food, and drinks, and even RUBBED MY FEET with warm water because I was FROZEN from taking pictures outside. We had wonderful food, appetizers were out of this world, and the dinner was superb. Also, I had very minimal decorations, just a few candles for the centerpieces, and I have to say, they made the place SO BEAUTIFUL, you would have though I spend a TON more. \rI can't say enough good things about the place, they have re-done it in the past few years, and it was not only beautiful, the food was delicious, but thier customer service was magnificant!

Anthony's was amazing!! Everyone had a great time, the food was delicious, and there service was off the charts. They were able to throw in food that we didn't pay for-filet mignon station, sea bass station, chocolate fountain, sushi, gelato bar. Thomas took care of every detail on the day-of: he told me exactly what to do and when to do it, and anticipated any problems so that I didn't have to think at all. He constantly checked in on my husband and our parents throughout the night, and was beyond our expectations. Overall, Anthony's was the best decision I made in the wedding planning process, aside from my dress!

The staff was so friendly and helpful throughout the whole evening! They made sure that all the guests were taken care of so that we did not have to worry about a thing. I could not have asked for a better place to have the ceremony and the reception! Anthony's made our day perfect!

Love the waterfront, the employees were just awesome and very helpful from the time of planning until our actual day. Food is awesome, food, open bar and our cake was all included (we picked out/designed our cake still) so that made for easier planning too.

We loved the food: buffet dinner with carving station and many dish choices, flambe table and chocolate fountain (which were both included). I loved that the venue was by the water. We had some of our pictures taken by a lighthouse just a mile down the street. It was beautiful!;Our venue is quite large and can hold two weddings at the same time. I would warn couples about this because even though we were assured that our ceremony would start on time, we had to start 30 min late! The ceremony next to ours went long and the site manager wouldn't start our ceremony until the other one was done. Everyone on our side was ready and were left to stand around in a small bridal room to wait for the other ceremony to finish. Another thing we weren't happy about was the fact that we didn't get to eat a piece of our own wedding cake. It was put on our table but was cleared away before anyone at the front table had some. The fact that we started the ceremony late, then started dinner late, affected the rest of the night. It pushed everything back. The staff also began cleaning before our reception was over. Guests were still dancing and sitting at tables and the staff was removing table clothes and table settings much before our reception was set to end.
