Arrowhead Acres is an elegant 49-acre estate wedding venue located in Uxbridge, MA. It is just 20 minutes from Providence and Worcester and just under one hour from Boston. They’ve enjoyed organizing and hosting many weddings with memorable themes, including country/western, Gaelic, medieval, and with motorcycles.
Operating since 1979, Arrowhead Acres is a family-run business, with owners Dave and Vicki Morin having their own wedding there in 2009. With a capacity of 300, Arrowhead Acres’ wedding services are highly distinctive compared to a traditional event and reception facility. Couples can choose between a traditional or rustic environment. On offer are various settings, including the formal Banquet Hall and the relaxed grounds of Chapel-In-The-Pines, Rustic Country Barn Area, and Park Pavilion. The choice of locations at Arrowhead Acres, plus the freedom to select specialized caterers, wedding officiants, and decor open up many opportunities for a unique and unforgettable wedding.
The Chapel-in-the-Pines is especially ideal for formal or rustic ceremonies. Exchanging vows under the pine-scented trees, it's the perfect romantic spot. For twilight ceremonies, lighting is provided, and guests can then enjoy a reception in either the 7,000-square-foot. Banquet Room or the 2,000-square-foot Rustic Country Barn Area. You can enjoy the use of microphones and a sound system in each location. Wedding coordination, use of tables and chairs, parking attendants, and restrooms are included. A potluck option is available for couples who would like to organize their own food. Other services include a campfire with safety forks, marshmallows, and a fire attendant. There are also wedding bridges that offer a lovely outdoor spot for your wedding photos and are close to both the ceremony and reception facilities. A ceremony officiant can be arranged for you, too. You can also access a list of recommended vendors for both catering and photography. Look no further than Arrowhead Acres for a wedding celebration unique to you.

This venue is absolutely beautiful. The chapel in the pines were breathtaking and the banquet hall is a DIY dream. David (owner) was so easy going and very responsive to emails and answered any questions I had. David, his wife, & family have maintained the property so well. We had our ceremony at 6pm at the chapel in the pines, banquet hall from 7pm-11pm, and a campfire from 11pm-12am. What really got us with this venue was after the ceremony, we were getting ready for our grand entrance and our DJ came to me (the bride) and said a staff member went up to him and said they are ‘hard stopping’ the reception at 10pm. When I found out, I asked to speak to a staff member. That’s when a staff member came in and was EXTREMELY rude to me. I told her this is a miscommunication because we are contracted from 7pm-11pm for the banquet hall and we have the contract. She very rudely said ‘yup I have the contract too’. Then followed that with ‘we are closing the banquet hall at 10pm, and you are doing the campfire from 10pm-11pm’. She also said ‘you can pay us $500 for an extra hour’ and that needs to be paid right away. This is not what we contracted. I told her to go review the contract. She stormed off and She never came back out. The other sister came out a little while later and apologized for the miscommunication. This got us all worked up 5 minutes before our grand entrance into the reception. No bride deserves to be treated in the way this staff member treated me. it was extremely unprofessional that she did not review or even have the contract in hand before she came to the bridal suite barking at me. It was honestly appalling that this would happen at a venue. Thank goodness that this was all happening behind the scenes, because she was extremely rude and argumentative. it would have been embarrassing for the staff member and us if any of our guests had to see that disorganization. Final thoughts: this venue was gorgeous and even though there were miscommunications, our night was perfect. Due to what happened with the staff member during our grand entrance.. I unfortunately cannot recommend for anyone to book this venue. The staff member was extremely rude to the bride for no reason, and completely out of line to get us all upset before our entrances. Our contract should have been reviewed and in hand. Also noted that when we reviewed our contract, it was $400 for an extra hour, not $500.. so not sure where the extra $100 came from. This whole situation would have been avoided if staff reviewed the contract before approaching the bride and groom. Thank you to David for being so responsive to messages and providing a beautiful space for our wedding. Reviewed on 26-09-2023

Right off the bat, I fell in love with the tall ceilings and modern look and open layout of the banquet hall during our tour. With a bridal suite, handicap bathroom, plus multi stall bathrooms, it was convenient for all of our guests. The deck on the back of the hall was great for the cigar bar my husband wanted, lots of our guests loved the venue and are looking into it for future events of their own. Maura Silva(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-10-2022 This venue is such a beautiful place for your wedding especially in October or I would even say would be amazing in the winter with the beautiful Christmas trees! I fell in love with this place because of the beautiful tall pines where you walk down the aisle the tall trees surrounding you are so amazing! I had a day wedding but at night the lights light up with those trees and I can only imagine how fairytale like or twilight even it would be! The staff was very responsible, responsive, helpful, and hard workers! They helped everything go smoothly and make my day stress-free! The venue is large spacious and warm feeling. They even have a beautiful fireplace inside. It is super affordable which made me also fall in love with it and they have a rustic barn area as well in case you don’t want to have it in the banquet hall. There’s so much to say about this venue that amazes me just from its beauty. The only recommendation is that the bar should be able to give the bridal party and groomsmen a drink when they arrive that was a little bit of a disappointment. But overall amazing!!!Also you must use their battening. Service but they are amazing! Reviewed on 25-10-2022

However, there was no water available at our table, or any table. We actually had to PAY for water (at the bar) that was poured in a plastic cup! $2.00 for water - not even in a bottle? We were all very shocked. The bar drinks were more like shot-sized. Thus, we would NEVER hold a function there. Oh, and the coffee - no decaf (evening wedding). Alisa Inman(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-04-2021 I will be honest, I was nervous after reading some of these reviews after booking. I should NOT have been. The venue was wonderful, we hit bad weather and they went above and beyond to work with us to move inside, any questions that we had were answered quickly through e-mail, and the rehearsal went smoothly. The reason for 4 instead of 5 was once the ceremony was over we couldn't find the owners anywhere or anyone to talk to. We had a fire that was supposed to happen, we ended up not being able to and we also were unable to use an extra hour since all of our guests had left. This was fine, but I only found the person to talk to twice concerning this, that was a bit difficult. They also need to practice a bit with cuing the correct music, but I understand completely they are not DJ's. We had a beautiful ceremony, would gladly go back and buy a Christmas tree, and are so happy with our choice!!! Reviewed on 01-05-2021
Chris Nelson(groom)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-08-2021 We chose our wedding date over a year in advance and were told we would need to put down a $600 deposit to have them type up a contract detailing all of the services and fees... a few days after receiving the contract in the mail, we had run the numbers and decided this venue was too pricey for us, as we are funding our wedding 100% by ourselves. When we asked for our deposit back, we were answered with a stone-cold \"No refunds\" from both Dave and Vicki. They told us that was written in the contract, which we hadn't even signed yet. \"Well, it also says that on our website\" Dave told me, but I had never even visited their website. Now I am being forced to file a small claims suit to get our $600 back, and I've never sued anyone before in my life. Dave and Vicki present themselves as God-fearing tree farmers, but in my experience and clearly the experience of a few other reviewers, they begin to act differently once they have your money. I would be fine with paying a reasonable fee since they did show us around the property and print out a contract for us, but to just keep all $600 is plain theft. As a side note- the barnyard area has a lot of free-range chickens who get all riled up and start squawking whenever a stranger is near; which may be a big problem for some. We had all the information we needed on the first visit, plus lots of recommendations for other vendors. (We used the caterer they recommended and they were also phenomenal!) They answered emails quickly, were accommodating & friendly, and made the planning process easy. The ceremony setting was charming and woodsy and magnificent. The Rustic Barn area was just what we wanted. Outdoors with a covered roof, next to a roaring campfire, near the animals like donkeys & goats & peacocks & a pig. We fit over a hundred people and a dance floor, and everyone had a blast. Lots of different places to mingle and things to do - there was even horseshoes & volleyball & other games. We had so much fun.(There is also an indoor area for events - we chose the outdoor option)This was also one of the less expensive places we had researched (I originally found it on a message board about *cheap places to get married in mass*) and feel so lucky we found it. All three of them were wonderful from start to finish. They always answered any questions we had quickly & gave us all the information we needed. Their price is more than fair & the venue is beautiful even without adding much to the decor on site (we had a black and white theme and their venue has a lot of white there already with flowers, curtains and the lighting within and outside of the venue areas). Jessie Chenier(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-08-2009 This was the first venue that my husband and I visited and we quickly fell in love with The Chapel in the Pines. We were given a tour and a bunch of brochures by the helpful, lovely owners. After speaking with Dave and his wife, we were told that they would hold our date for 7 days while we decided which we thought was very nice of them. That night we went home and crunched some numbers and called to make a deposit over the phone. We actually both agreed that we wished we explored other venues before jumping in.The craziness started happening about 2 months before the wedding. I could not tell you how many emails I got from Dave about the catering requirements. I worked with our caterer to fill our specific paperwork, some of which had to be sent to the Uxbridge Board of Health and others which were sent to the Venue. Dave told me he had to have specific paperwork, which I gave him and then he turned around saying I did not give him the right stuff. After numerous emails, he said we were all set. 10 days before the wedding, while I'm away from home for military training, he emails me around 10pm and asks for the paperwork since we're past our deadline. Being away from home with limited access to the internet, I had to dig through old emails to forward him the original email from weeks ago. \"Sorry I must have misplaced it\" he says. Talk about giving the bride a heart attack! We all arrived for the rehearsal before the owners. Dave took over, we had to make a few decisions for details before we even started the rehearsal. I sensed attitude from him as soon as we all got there. Before we left, he told us to pass the word along that any outside alcohol will be cause to cancel the wedding and kick us out. This was the first time I heard this. This meant that since the girls were getting ready in the TINY room they call the \"bridal suite\ Reviewed on 09-09-2017

Christine Mott(wedding party)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-06-2015 This past weekend I filled in as a photographer for my step sister's wedding. When we all showed up for the rehearsal dinner we were excited because the property is beautiful. Unfortunately, all of our first impressions started to crumble not long after arrival. The owner immediately tried to hurry us along and get us off of the property-- he tried to get us to start the rehearsal without the preacher. Additionally, the owner took over the role of coordinator, even though the bride and groom did have someone to fulfill that role. The owner was extremely pushy about how he wanted the ceremony to be, even though the bride voiced a contrary opinion. On the big day, the entire staff was extremely unfriendly to the parents of the groom and everyone else that came to set up. When I arrived on the property I was glared at. The staff also did not even look like they were setting up for a wedding as they were all in jeans and t shirts. Inside, which is most likely where your reception will be, does not have the best lighting. It can be improved with a decent flash, but don't expect perfect pictures. On a good note the pictures you can take outside near the bridge do come out beautifully. Finally, when we were cleaning up after the wedding the staff were all in a side room spying on us. I understand wanting to make sure that your property is taken care of, but you don't want to be watched as if you were a criminal. While this venue is beautiful, I do not recommend it at all. If you're the bride expect all of your ideas for the big day to be pushed aside so that the owner can have things his way. Additionally, prepare anyone helping you with the wedding to feel uncomfortable as they are micromanaged at every move. T Reviewed on 13-07-2016
Anonymous (bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-09-2017 I attended my brother's wedding here. The owner and his daughter were nice up front but became overbearing and territorial after being paid. The venue is enticing but understand that this is a package deal where you get the controlling owner and his disrespectful daughter.Issues: 1) Staff attire- you would think that staff members visible and in camera shots would dress professionally. Throughout the ceremony all staff members were dressed like slobs. They wore dirty jeans and personal t-shirts or sweaters. 2) Unfriendly- the owner's daughter stood guard by one of the doors so that no one (including the pregnant and elderly) could take a shorter route to the venue. When addressing the bride and groom prior to the ceremony the staff were short and rude.3) Sound System- The sound system cut in and out and there was constant feedback. This is something that should have been addressed during the rehearsal but it wasn't.4) \"Don't touch my stuff\"- The staff there was very territorial and yelled at one of my elderly family members for going into a room and turning on a light. The staff person who yelled at the older person refused to apologize and instead demanded an apology for the person who trespassed. Mind you, there was no indication that the room was off-limits. I would caution anyone who would like to use this place: It looks like a great venue and it is truly beautiful. Unfortunately it's natural beauty is overshadowed by unprofessional and disrespectful staff. Reviewed on 11-07-2016

After the ceremony they were around for maybe an hour and then they shut themselves in their office with the lights off and were unavailable if we needed anything. I was most upset when it came to my last dance and I was dancing in puddles of liquid because someone dropped a drink and we couldn't find anyone to clean it up. You can use any vendor for everything but the alcohol, they make you use the Bartending Services of New England - this was not a pleasant experience for us (one of the bartenders did not show up until halfway through the reception!)
