Ashton Gardens Corinth by Walters Wedding Estates Reviews
Sam Stekel(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-12-2022 Ashton Gardens at Corinth was an absolute fairytale! The bones of the entire place are magical and the energy of the space is so sweet, pure, & happy. Our main point of contact, Kristy, was a delight to work with! Great, calm, and organized. The vendors were also lovely to work with! Everything was very clear and easy. This venue made wedding planning enjoyable and very manageable. My husband and I have received so many compliments from the awe of the many chandeliers, to the amazing music (shout out DJ Carson), to the best tasting wedding cake ever. It was so convenient having the wedding ceremony and the reception right next to each other. Great hotel - The Homewood Suites, right down the road (highly recommend). We got married on December 3rd of 2022 at 4pm and the day could not have been better. The autumn leaves were still on the trees, the sunset during the ceremony was incredible, and the weather was in the 50's/60's. We did black and white as our colors and kept the décor very simple. You do not need to go overboard on florals or table pieces - the venue is beyond pretty enough. Again, it was the most modern, romantic, chic, elegant, memorable fairytale day I could have ever imagined. Thank you, Ashton Gardens! Reviewed on 15-12-2022

Ashton Gardens is an absolutely gorgeous venue! We worked with Morgan in Sales initially, and she was super friendly, knowledgeable, and very accommodating. The day of the event we worked with Emily, and Tabitha. They were outstanding, and so accommodating! As a wedding planner, I don't typically do reviews on the venues, but because of their commitment, and devotion to the over all success of the event, I just had to write this review. It was so great knowing, I had them in my corner taking care of the catering logistics, food & beverage service, and management of the catering staff. Tabitha, and her team were professional, friendly, experienced, and really cared about the overall success of the event. It was truly a pleasure to work with professionals who has the same commitment to taking care of our client, and their guests. Reviewed on 19-10-2023

Nataly Aguirre(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 17-11-2022 Wonderful venue. First off, you’ll fall in love with the chapel and reception area at first sight. It’s surrounded by windows overlooking trees/greenery. Pictures do not do it justice! It’ll take your breath away. & the venue does not need much decorating on the inside because of its natural beauty & included centerpieces (which will save you money)! Secondly, Kristy (GM) and Tabitha (coordinator) were an amazing help on the day of. They are not required to help decorate with any outside items but Kristy helped my bridesmaids decorate, made my vision come to life, and made it look so stunning. They kept an organized flow to our day. Tabitha made sure we had our plates and drinks of choice waiting for us after pictures, she even helped me bustle my dress. We heard nothing but good things from our guests about the venue, food and drinks (catered by them)! Was a very reasonable price for the food and open bar. They truly went above and beyond and made my dream wedding come true. I had the best day ever at Ashton Gardens! Reviewed on 30-11-2022

Liz Cogswell(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-10-2022 Wow! Ashton Gardens was an incredible venue! I was amazed by how beautiful it was online then again when I toured in person. The giant glass chapel windows and classy ballroom made for a gorgeous wedding venue backdrop that brought back nostalgia for my family with a place we used to frequent during my childhood.Come wedding day, the venue couldn't have looked more beautiful! Kristy, the general manager, and Tabitha, our day of coordinator, worked well to make our wedding a beautiful and special day! Have I mentioned beautiful? Haha I'm still amazed how lovely the venue was for our special day. There were several staffing changes during the planning process, but Kristy stepped in to make sure we were taking care of. I really appreciated her professionalism and patiently answering all our questions. Tabitha came in for the wedding day and helped the rehearsal and timeline flow well. One or two bridesmaids have even commented how it was one of the smoothest weddings they've been to!A big moment for any bride is her entrance into the chapel/ceremony. I'd heard a horror story of one bride trying to having a double door entrance, but the people helping her couldn't get both doors open simultaneously or something like that. Not a problem for Kristy and Tabitha as they rocked the chapel double doors and I got the grand entrance I'd been excitedly envisioning for months :) I highly recommend Ashton Gardens for any bride looking for an aesthetically pleasing venue with little worry about the weather while still feeling like you're still outdoors thanks to the surrounding woods and large glass windows. Parking was easy for guests with a large lot right next to the chapel and reception area. The staff were all great to work with and if I could go back, I'd choose Ashton Gardens as my wedding venue again! Kristy is AMAZING to work with. She's quick to respond, she's honest with her opinions, and has a solution for everything! We ran into a few hiccups here and there because I didn't read close enough but they were able to work something out with us in no time! Ashton Gardens was incredible from start to finish. We forgot a few things at home and they made sure it was taken care of. We had a few last minute changes, no problem! They treated us like family and made sure we were happy the entire night. Chase Jacobs(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-09-2022 TL;DR; Go over the contacts with a fine toothbrush, don't assume new/updated contracts will only be different in areas you ask about. Expect to have 4+ \"coordinators\". Expect to plan 90% of everything yourself depside paying for coordination. The only reason this isn't a 1 star is that the location/building owner, required bakery, and required catering were all very helpful and better than expected, and the location was very pretty despite all the struggles of planning. The building owner was very helpful when we met day of and assisted us with much more than Walters Weddings estates ever did, helping us decorate and problem solve issue created by Walters wedding estate. The catering provided was very good, but giving clients a better way to try out the menu items is a must (further below)The bakery required to use was very helpful and even tossed in extra when they learned we added more guests last minute free of charge.BUT, Walters wedding estates made our whole experience very upsetting. We were reassigned different coordinators at least 5 times most without notice. The first reassignment wasn't told to us for MONTHS of emailing constantly asking what the status of everything was. Communication was pretty horrible overall with them. To make it even worst you still have to plan everything yourself and talk with basically everyone your self despite being sold a grand coordination service that \"promises\" to handle and help everythingContract questions came up quite often as well because language on the flyers and language in the contract tended to be as vague as possible so the sales people would have you assume a lot and not correct you until after a deposit was placed down. The required Floral company was very disappointing and we felt swindled when we found out that items were changed in our contract without asking us in order to \"help us\" when customizing other aspects of the wedding. For example we were unaware that they removed a random number of centerpieces that we NEEDED in an attempt to \"lower costs\" without pointing it out. While the flowers provided were very nice. It was as minimalistic as you can get. We had to provide a lot more ourselves to fill in the gaps created. Finally the Open houses were told were free since we already started paying. It was so that we could try the food and other vendor items. Except we still had to pay for 2 of the 3 open houses we attened.... Why did we have to attend 3 you might wonder? That's because at open house they only let you try 2 entrees and 2 sides on the catering menu of about 80+ choices. To make it better, sometimes the stuff promised to be served at open house gets switched day of without notice. If you wanted to try more food than at the open house sure you \"can\".... for $500 but you and 3 other have to share 2 Appetizers, 1 Salad, 2 Entrees and 2 Sides with the \"private tasting\". So still pretty useless in my opinion. Reviewed on 28-09-2022

Tabitha was our day-of coordinator and she did incredible with the rehearsal and ensuring that our day ran as smooth as possible so that I wasn't stressed. Our guests all loved the food (we did buffet), bar service (we just had the essential package), venue atmosphere, and music! Kyle was our DJ through CoHost and he was extremely helpful in the planning process as well as helping coordinate the day of. The bridal suite was the perfect size for my wedding party (we had 5 bridesmaids), but the grooms suite was on the smaller side. Kaitlyn Burlison(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2021 The venue is absolutely beautiful and everything went smoothly! My only issues are as follows: that after the wedding they lost our photos from the guest book table (childhood photos and one recent couple photo, all framed). They argued with my family saying that they had loaded everything up and it went home with one of us. We had only one car for moving items and it wasn't there. Turns out they gave it to the couple after us, who was kind enough to bother to return it. No apology was given. The other issue was that the day before the rehearsal, I received a call telling me 'oops, we double booked your rehearsal time'. Thankfully, my wedding party was in town in time to have an earlier rehearsal time the day before the wedding. How on earth do you double book something like that? It was definitely some unnecessary stress we didn't need. Other than that, no issues were had on the wedding day itself and the venue was beautiful! Reviewed on 15-04-2022

Stunning chapel with amazing natural light and gorgeous reception space. Peyton and Kristy were always so responsive and helpful in the months leading up to our wedding day and made sure everything went smoothly. I really appreciated that this venue has their own team of recommended vendors to use, so as a bride who doesn't necessarily love the decision-making process of planning a wedding and choosing between millions of vendors, using their recommended vendors was perfect!! We've gotten so many compliments on the catering services, the florals were so fresh and beautiful, the DJ was so easy to work with. The bridal suite had plenty of room for my (large) bridal party of 10 bridesmaids, 3 moms plus our wonderful makeup artistry team! If there was anything we wish was different about the venue, the grooms quarters were pretty small, so my husband and his groomsmen got dressed off-site and then just hung out and took photos at the venue in the hours leading up to the ceremony. Teagan Rogers(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-09-2021 I have truly never been one to leave reviews or get upset about things, but this was my wedding day and should’ve gone as smoothly as possible. It ended up going the complete opposite. First and foremost they lost our down payment, don’t know how you lose it through your pay portal but they did. Get going some more my wedding day gets closer and they charge us more for food and bar which is understandable, but i would’ve much rather brought in a caterer because the food wasn’t that great. Get to the day of I finally meet my coordinator and I am told that my family is going to have to set up the whole reception area(which we were told we would have someone there to do it). It keeps getting better… they kept coming to me with problems instead of ny day of contact, coordinator, or any of my tons of family memebers that were there. They charged us for things that they didn’t even follow through with. The staff was so rude that it is almost appalling that they are still in business. The grooms suite was tiny, they hard to get in contact with, and don’t try and take action to make anything better what so ever. Messed up my whole day of schedule, gives little time to vendors to set up, doesn’t give us a lot of time to get ready there so we had to get ready at our hotel, and lastly my day of coordinator MOVED MY FAMILY to the back of the chapel before the ceremony started. That was the final straw for me. I was livid. Reviewed on 12-01-2022

I couldn't imagine getting engaged and signing a contract to have our event at my dream venue but walters wedding estates made it possible with there all in one packages. The price made it affordable with the inclusion of florals, DJ services, dinner, drinks, desserts, and stationery needs. Everyone from the vendors to the coordinators was so professional, friendly, and prompt with their replies. Peyton and Kristy went above and beyond to make our day special, replying to my emails and changes days up until the event. They showed grace and patience with my family and even when my son had an accident during the reception. My only minor comment is perhaps keeping a first aid kit available for any future accidents.I can't recommend the Ashton Gardens team enough to future brides. I was very excited when we first visit Ashton Gardens. Loved everything about it. The venue is beautiful and the tour by the employees was awesome. We booked a year in advance and then Ashton Gardens sold to somebody else and it was quite evident. I couldn't figure out how all of sudden I am only able to be in contact with someone through emails and on certain days. Okay, that is fine sometimes, but when the emails start to get long or hectic then phone calls or scheduled calls are better. When i mentioned how hard it was to reach anyone at Ashton Gardens the employee told me that they are booked with several weddings and only two employees. Which my thought is then don't overbook. The Venue was so booked that they could not do rehearsal unless we did it 3-4 days before the wedding. Most of the wedding party was from out of town so that didn't work. I ended up paying $650. extra for a morning rehearsal on the day of. The venue was not cleaned up completely on the day of the wedding. The air condition was not on at the morning rehearsal. Most of the emails that i sent with the table seat numbers or the bridal procession line up was not read until the night before or that day in which the wedding cordinator had questions for me and i had to sit and go through it all with her. Mind you on the first inital visit i was told i would have a personal wedding coordinator that would help me the last 6-8 weeks leading up to the wedding. The wedding coordinator also forgot to give the bride her bouquet as she marched into the chapel so $300 was just wasted. No picture of the bride walking down the aisle with her bouquet. I was also approached while getting my make-up on for the wedding about how the bar was not fully stocked with the groom's request even though he had paid for the premium package weeks before. when I asked why, the response was well we had two weddings yesterday. I was not completely satisfied and would not book again for my next adult kid's wedding. Reviewed on 14-10-2021

Samantha Tso(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-06-2021 The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL, and our day of coordinator, Laticia, was AMAZING! However, the management is not great. We had multiple situations where management proved to be subpar. If you decide to book at this venue, please be aware of the follow information: Before the event: -They NEVER answered phone calls and emails sometimes took a week to get a response. I understand they are busy, but while trying to plan a wedding, this was unacceptable. -Our 30 day out meeting was only offered on Tuesday or Wednesday between 12 pm - 330 pm, which to me is unrealistic because majority of adults work a 9-5 which meant we would have to take off work to meet. We fought to get a later time, which we did (4 pm), but was a huge headache to even get that. -The venue changed the center pieces that they offered multiple times without notifying us, thus meaning we had to change our plans with our florist multiple times including a surprise change 30 days before the wedding. Night before the wedding:-Management emailed me (the bride) at 9:28 pm the night before the wedding saying that the guest count was off by 20 people, which obviously had me stressed out. I called immediately to get it settled, and of course no answer. This was extremely unprofessional, in my opinion, and should have been handled way before that time or management should have picked up the phone and called in that situation. Management called the next morning (the day of the wedding) at 9 am and it turned out that management was incorrect to begin with. Wedding Day: -The groom & groomsmen had to wait for the grooms suite because it was not ready on time. -A bridesmaid from the wedding before ours walked straight in to the bridal suite while we were getting ready. -The venue ran out of Tequila for our guests. As a wedding venue, how does that happen? -Also the venue includes a tea and coffee area at the wedding and they didn't have decaf coffee. Just another small thing that seems unprofessional for an event center. In the end, our wedding day was beautiful despite the challenges with management. If you decide to book at this venue, just be prepared to work a little harder than you should to ensure you get everything you want for your venue and that it is communicated properly. Also I would suggest Walters Wedding Estates does something about the management at this property before you have more unsatisfied brides. Reviewed on 19-07-2021

Carolyn Beckham(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-05-2021 Ashton Gardens is a truly beautiful setting for a magical wedding! The lush surroundings and wall to wall glass brings the outdoors inside and creates a uniquely elegant venue for a wedding. The incredible beauty of the setting was one of the most frequent comments we received by guests at our daughter’s (May 2021) wedding. Kristy, the Ashton Gardens manager, handled the many details of our daughter’s wedding wonderfully, working closely with our wedding coordinator (Jessica Hernandez/Lovebird Lane Events). Coming out of the pandemic, bookings at Ashton Gardens dramatically increased and I know that Kristy and her team were working extremely hard to meet the needs of many brides in juggling so many different events. On top of that, our booking at Ashton Gardens was last minute (8 weeks prior) due to cancellation of our daughter’s wedding at another area venue (due to winter storm damage). I am truly grateful for all of the overtime I am sure that Kristy must have been working and the special attention that she gave to our daughter’s wedding. The food was delicious and the staff did a great job in setting up for a rather large wedding within a very compressed time frame due to another morning wedding that took place prior to our evening event. We were so pleased to have our daughter’s wedding at such a beautiful setting, and thank Kristy and Peyton and their team for everything they did to make that possible! Reviewed on 24-05-2021

Chelsea Porter(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-12-2020 I gave this rating because I PRAY no one does business with this company. I have made sure to tell people and some people have been grateful I told them about it. Our wedding date was December 13,2020. My husband and I have put $10,000 all for them to THREATEN to take it away because of something that was out of our control (COVID). We can not help that Literally almost everyone got COVID right before our wedding. We still wanted to have our wedding there but just sometime in April through June of 2021. Our thought was most of everyone that wanted to be vaccinated would be and all of our people that were a part of our wedding would be over COVID. No, instead Carlos, said that we could move the event but would have to repay the $10,000. The only way we could move our date AND keep the money we have paid was if my husband or myself or one of our parents got COVID. My husband's mother ended up getting COVID so we got to reschedule to February of 2021. That was as far as we were allowed to move it out. Then, we had asked for a certain set up, all for the coordinator to come and MOVE things back in the way we DID NOT WANT. We also asked for our food in stages. First the Hors d'oeuvres, and salad, then the main course. They decided to bring everything out and our food was cold. This company is nothing but a money grab company and I will continue to help turn people away from this place. Ashton Gardens is a beautiful place. The chapel is stunning. I have loved Ashton Gardens until Walters Wedding Estates took over. It may be a beautiful venue but the stress and heartbreak is not worth it. This company is selfish and does not care about anything other than how they can get the most money even if it screws over the Bride and Groom and their family's. I do not recommend this venue or coordinators. Reviewed on 18-05-2021

Ashton Gardens really doesn’t even need extra decor because of how beautiful it is already. The acoustics in the chapel was perfect for our live music. We also loved the grand entrance stair well in the reception area. We couldn’t have felt more loved. We are so grateful for all the speedy responses to our questions and requests. Whether is was just looking at pictures or walking in for meetings, this venue never stopped being absolutely breath-taking. There is not one part of this venue that is less than perfection. The in-house catering is also PHENOMENAL! We were so excited after our menu tasting and that definitely reassured us in our decision to go with Ashton Gardens. The best part of our experience by far, however, was working with Peyton. She handled every single detail, to the point that I was sure she was reading our minds. She was incredibly reassuring even when I started to stress about some over-bearing family members or where things had ended up. She always knew the answers to our questions and was a step ahead every part of the way. Our wedding would not have been a success without her and we are forever grateful for her help and presence. Candace Snyder(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-01-2021 Beautiful venue… from the chapel with a beautiful stone façade & timeless wood doors with an interior of floor to ceiling glass “walls” and beautiful pews…to the elegant ballroom with crystal chandeliers and spiral staircase. Timeless elegance. Staffing… Jeffery (General Manager) was professional, helpful and very personable. Peyton (our assigned day-of wedding coordinator) was helpful, professional and had a very calm demeanor. Both Jeffrey & Peyton worked hard to organize & help the wedding day go smoothly, as well as beautifully. Other “stand-out” staff include Kristin (it was her first day and she helped contact the person to let us into the bridal suite), Matthew (helpful on the day of with “all of the things”), and Ruth (a lovely wait staff individual who was very helpful & gracious). Some “glitches” – From time of deposit to wedding day, we seemed to have been assigned to several different “day of” wedding coordinators. This may have been due to Ashton Gardens being bought out by Walters Weddings during this time or just due to “covid crazy” ~ but it made us a little nervous…making sure everyone knew what to do/when… Jeffery and Peyton straightened everything out and made us feel much better at our last planning meeting. Also, we had requested (several times and it was in our contract) to have a “sparkling grape juice”/non-alcoholic toast but were served champagne (alcohol) instead. Overall, we are very pleased with our choice of Ashton Gardens as a wedding venue. I hope it continues with its great customer-service focused staff and beautiful, well-kept surroundings and doesn’t go “commercial chain” in-flexibility. She made our day go FLAWLESSLY. There's not one thing I would change if I could. She wrangled our 22 person wedding party without breaking a sweat at the rehearsal, made sure the ceremony was perfect down to opening the doors at the exact right time for me to walk in, and catered to our every need. There was not a single thing that went wrong during our wedding and I don't take that for granted knowing how hard Peyton worked (even more so because of COVID!) Kaitlyn Kennedy(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-11-2020 Where do I even begin with Ashton Gardens? Words cannot express how beautiful this venue is… how do they do such a good job of making it feel like you are in an enchanted forest and not smack-dab in Texas?? Who knows. Ashton Gardens speaks for itself - I did little to no decorating because the venue and chapel are gorgeous on their own. Looks aside, Ashton Gardens absolutely went ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate my now husband and I during COVID. We booked the venue in October 2019 with the hopes of hosting 200 guests - come June 2020, it was apparent that would not be possible. Ashton Gardens did everything in their power to work with us during this trying time - we truly couldn't have asked for a better venue. I want to give a special shout out to Sarah - do yourself a favor and request her as your day-of coordinator now! She was undeniably the reason our wedding day went so smoothly. Frankly, we couldn't have done it without her. Another special shoutout to the Ashton Gardens staff the day of our wedding, they made sure we were able to enjoy the food and drink along with our guests. From what I hear, many couples forget to eat/drink the day of their wedding but the staff at Ashton Gardens made sure that we were fed and happy. For anyone concerned about COVID restrictions and dealing with a difficult venue, PLEASE know Ashton Gardens will not be that venue. Veronica Samuel(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-02-2020 I loved my wedding at Ashton Gardens. I recommend this venue to everyone. It is a breathtaking venue from the chapel to the reception hall. Even the bridal suite is thoughtful and beautiful. I also feel like it is such a great value. I know this is subjective depending on the couple and budget but we received so much for how much we paid. Also, the venue is naturally gorgeous so you can save on decor. Ashton Gardens is also very forthcoming about the cost of everything. You don’t have to sign anything or be committed to get solid numbers and information on the rental and food. Plus so much is included in the price which I love! It is one big food tasting with all the couples who are getting married that quarter. It is an opportunity to try out different service styles. The food was chosen by the coordinators so you may not be able to try the food you want at your wedding. I was not that impressed by the food at the tasting. The items that were good were way out of the budget so we ended up picking food we haven’t even been able to taste. I even told my guests to not get too excited about the food. When the wedding came, I was very surprised by how much better the food was! Everyone really enjoyed it! So it worked out. Venue tours are available during non office hours which I also appreciated. I am a working bride and was guilted by other venues for not wanting to take PTO just to take a tour of a venue I may not even book. Especially since planning meetings are during office hours I didn’t want to waste PTO. I also loved our coordinator Sarah. I did talk to a few before Sarah was officially assigned to us but everyone was very helpful! She made sure I was stress free and happy on the big day. It was such a perfect day and I’m so thankful I picked Ashton Gardens. Reviewed on 04-03-2020
Jennifer Weel(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-12-2019 I am rating 2 stars for the beautiful venue and the quality and taste of the food. However, I would be cautious when considering this venue for your wedding. I have learned a lot from this experience and had I known when we booked this venue what I know now I would have never picked Ashton Gardens to host the happiest day of my life. Communication, and organization were not the venue's strong points to say the least. During the nearly year-long planning process we saw numerous different managers and wedding planners who often contradicted each other. Something seems wrong when the turnover is obviously very high. We were provided with a long list of promises and selling points at the time of booking the venue, however those promises often came with uncommunicated stipulations or were just left unfulfilled. For example we were told that our bar package included 2 signature drinks. During the planning meetings we came up with personalized names for the drinks that we chose and Ashton Gardens was to provide the signage and serving of these on our wedding day. We were very excited about this. When we arrived at the venue there were no signature drink signs and when the coordinator was asked why her response was, \"We did not have time to make them.\" Not only did they not make the signs but the drinks were not available at any given point throughout the night. I understand that there were some behind the scenes issues with staffing that day, however a response such as that is unacceptable and unprofessional. I could list numerous other mishaps but the bottom line is there was a service problem at this venue that the coordinator never shared with us at the start of our event. A heads up would’ve been nice, as we could of adjusted things accordingly, instead of leaving us wondering where our server was, why there was such a timeline delay or why cake and appetizers were not served to all guests, etc.In the end there was compensation for the long list of services that were supposed to be provided but were not. My father was satisfied with this after the compensation but as the Bride I will never be able to relive this day again and I am left wishing that we had never picked this venue. My Mom left a review that was not positive but unfortunately accurate. The response by the venue was meant to devalue her review by personally attacking her, claiming she was not part of the planning process (she was at every meeting we had) and stating that she was not a point of contact on the contract (this is irrelevant). Even after all that has happened my husband and I have yet to receive a phone call or email simply apologizing for all that did and did not happen on our wedding day. Which I must retract somewhat as they reached out to me after I placed a review on Google. However, I will still stand by my original statement following with: A simple apology or acknowledgement goes a long way and instead we are left with written proof that unless we are the one's providing the financial support, our perspective does not hold any value. While we had a great wedding day, it was not the experience that we spent a lot of time and money planning, or what was promised in our written contract. For all the beauty that Ashton Gardens has to offer, the lack of service and professionalism was disappointing. I hope that Ashton Gardens will focus on delivering what is promised to future couples so they do not have to feel the regret that my husband I do. Reviewed on 06-02-2020
Christa Watson(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-11-2019 Beautiful venue, not a beautiful experience. If you are looking at this location for your wedding let me say the venue is gorgeous, breathtaking really. We got married Nov.9 th at 11am. The sunlight coming through was defused just enough at this time. Lighting is a bit dark for pictures, so make sure you hire a photographer that uses flash well. Our photographer was amazing! The reception hall is just as breathtaking, especially at 12pm the lighting was perfect. As perfect as this location venue was, the experience was not as magical. First what did I learn from this experience that can help you?1. If you do want a morning wedding like us, be prepared to feel rushed by the staff.Ashton Gardens is a wedding factory. As gorgeous as this venue is, it is understandable that they would be as booked as they want. This simply means if you have a morning wedding, there will most likely be a wedding after yours and you will need to have the entire bridal suit cleaned and all your things out before your wedding starts at 11am. You are not allowed into the bridal suit until 9am, so yes, it does feel rushed. If I could do it all over again I would have just gotten ready at the hotel, which sucks but it's just not enough time unless someone can clean up your things for you. We were not informed all of our things were meant to be out until 25 minutes before the wedding began. This leads me to the next point. 2. Hire someone to communicate with the staff at the venue the day of. Communication was not a strong point with the staff for our wedding. I was a do it all kind of bride. I planned everything to the minute. There were a lot of small details that needed to be done I was unaware of until minutes before on the wedding day. Such as bridal suit being cleared out. Other miscommunications were my guest were never told the buffet line was closing. We paid for the food, our guest should have been told but they were not so our food was quietly taken and thrown away. Again communication was not great on many levels. There was more, but I do not want to bash, just help you make informed decisions if you want to use this venue. So hire someone to get those details taken care of so you don't feel stressed. Also, so you know, we had 3 different wedding coordinators in the course of 5 months. We described our vision for the day of 3 different times because the coordinators did not stick around. That much turnover is very concerning for me. Be prepared for this. 3. Do not let anyone talk you into paying more, and stand up for yourself. This was a breaking point for me. The last meeting with our 3rd coordinator the week before the wedding was a very emotional one for me. I was pressured to up our numbers for our reception. I left the meeting in tears. The staff member and I did not see eye to eye. I did email and express my concerns. She was professional about it and apologized, but we never really recovered. We didn't feel special, just another wedding number to be pushed through. It was a very emotional stressful experience for me and my bridesmaids. Your experience can be different, just be prepared to stand up for yourself and don't let anyone push you around. With that said, it's your day, you have the right to stand up and make demands, heck you pay enough for it you should feel like a princess! In the end it was a beautiful wedding and now that emotions have settled I can appreciate the good things about the day. Reviewed on 11-01-2020
Carolyn Larsen(parent)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-12-2019 This venue is 5 star beautiful, but we had the most disappointing service I have ever had the misfortune to experience at a wedding, and it was my daughter’s! She and her husband are so disappointed. Each day we hear new stories from our guests about things that went wrong. The list of things that were paid for and not received is long: adequate number of bartenders (I think the people bartending were not real bartenders at all), ran out of basic mixers by dinner time, did not provide signature drinks as promised (they said they didn't have time to make the signs, venue was booked since January for a December wedding), adequate number of servers or staff to bus tables, bride and groom did not have their own server, no wine service during dinner, guests did not all get appetizers and/or cake, tables were not bussed in a timely fashion, This all caused a delay of the timeline so the dancing was pushed back so we got less than we paid for because of it. The on-site coordinator (Sara M.) was incompetent, rude and unprofessional. If you have already booked this venue and she is assigned to you I would demand a new coordinator. She lied to us about why there weren't enough bartenders, lied to our guests and said they ran out of food because the bride’s family didn’t want to pay for all the meals, lied to the staff and told them that more people showed up than were expected. The truth is we had 12 people not show up to the wedding so there is no reason for a shortage of food. She did not pass out glow sticks as requested and was confused about bridal party and parent introductions. Bathroom garbage cans were overflowing when the reception began and there were no tables set up on the dance floor during the cocktail hour as promised. Thank goodness our DJ was fantastic and we have very understanding friends and family because in spite of Ashton Gardens we had a great time. I would be very wary of booking this venue. My hope is that they will learn from this and go on to throw fabulous weddings, but for my daughter and her husband they will never get this day back and it was not the magical experienced they were promised and hoping for. No amount of restitution or apologies is enough because my daughter and her husband do not get to do this over. I recommend finding a different venue for any meaningful event. We certainly wish we had. Reviewed on 10-01-2020

It took some pressure off not needing to find caterers, bar tenders, rental companies, etc. The place is perfect for photos, both indoor and outdoor photos. Me and my husband didn't want to have a long engagement and we ended up planning our wedding in 3 months time. Ashton Gardens was step 1 in our planning process and the MOST IMPORTANT STEP. They take care of everything. So many little details we were concerned with before were completely removed from our to do list. They provided food, tables, chairs, linens, plates, cups, silverware, CENTER PIECES (!), staff to help set up all of your stations/serve you, tables for your stations, a cake stand, a cake cutter, and so much more. All the little small things you normally have to worry about with weddings were completely taken care of. And on top of that, the venue itself is GORGEOUS and included a wedding coordinator! I never even thought about a wedding coordinator when I first started to plan the wedding, but I'm so so SO thankful for our coordinator Katie. These bring in so much natural light, and make it feel like you are tucked back into the woods. The photos in this space are stunning. The staff is great, and very helpful. Probably the best thing about this venue is the fact that a day-of wedding coordinator is included. This was a life saver! Our coordinator was Joelle, and she did an amazing job of getting everything organized and kept it all running seamlessly. We did a donut tower for our wedding, instead of a cake, and Joelle volunteered to arrange all the donuts on the tiered stand for us so that we didn't have to worry about it. Molly Smith(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-03-2019 This was the first venue that we visited and we fell in love with it immediately. We visited a second venue and that actually settled it for us, it just didn't compare to the first venue, Ashton Gardens. I picked it because it reminded me of Thorncrowne Chapel in Arkansas--floor-to-ceiling glass windows, surrounded by trees, beautiful lighting. Ours was a morning springtime ceremony and even though it was overcast, the ceremony and reception were beautiful. We received so many compliments from guests about our choice of venue. Our ceremony was more affordable since it was a daytime wedding, but I think AG offers great packages overall. They include lots of things like linens that most venues charge extra for.The staff was very polite and professional. Our wedding coordinator, Joelle, was a tremendous help before and during the event. (And the price of a wedding coordinator is included with the venue!) She even made us a little to-go basket after the ceremony, with cake and champagne, which was so sweet. You do have to do your catering through the venue, but that's not so bad--our guests liked the food and it saves you the hassle of finding another outside vendor. Overall, a wonderful experience. We are so happy with our decision. Reviewed on 07-04-2019

Margie Dess(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-12-2018 This venue is stunning. We worked with Joelle and from the time we started working with her in April until the wedding on December 15, she has felt like family. She is professional, calm and so nice and easy to work with. She takes care of everything and makes it look so easy. The food was delicious and the wait staff was extremely accommodating. Everyone we came in contact with treated us like this was the only wedding they had every worked - so nice. We could have spent less on a venue but this venue just carries itself without spending thousand of dollars more on flowers and decorations - I don't think people realize how expensive a wedding can become until you start to plan it. We had no flowers - just candles in the beautiful chapel and it was just perfect. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Ashton Gardens and with Joelle in particular. Top notch all around. Rachel Leo(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-11-2018 Our wedding truly felt like a dream come true/fairy tale. We'll admit that when we were first checking out AG on their website, we were a little underwhelmed (hopefully they don't get offended by that). However, once we toured we knew that that was where we wanted to get married. No pictures online anywhere do this place justice. It's GORGEOUS! We had our hesitations about booking a venue with an in-house caterer, but we were SHOCKED by the value of the food for the price. We had shopped around at other venues with in-house catering, and none of them compared to what AG offered. The best part? It was delicious. If we didn't know better, we wouldn't have thought it was catered; the quality was that good.We also had Katie. She was incredibly sweet and handled everything we threw at her with grace. She is the best and made us feel like she genuinely wanted us to have the best wedding ever. She also was quick to jump in where needed- we couldn't have done it without her.Thank you, Ashton Gardens! Reviewed on 26-11-2018

It is a lovely venue where you can have both the ceremony and reception. The chapel has windows all around so you can see a lot of greenery, which makes a nice backdrop during the ceremony. We used the entire ballroom for the reception to accommodate our guest list and band, and it was perfect. There was plenty of seating and room to dance. There are a lot of amenities included like linens, silverware, plates, centerpiece options, and more, which was very helpful. The waitstaff is very professional and friendly. The food was pretty tasty - the mac & cheese bar is a must. The event staff, in particular the coordinators are easy to work with and very responsive to questions, concerns, and ideas. I can say with utmost certainty that everyone at this lovely venue cares about delivering the best day possible. Other pluses: *VERY spacious bridal suite that allowed more than enough room for myself, 6 bridesmaids, MOB, MOG, honorary bridesmaid, Man of Honor, videographer, and photographer to really let loose *ceremony space is breathtaking *reception food A+. And when I was heartbroken about only having one coconut crusted shrimp (they were passed during family pictures), I was given my own platter. THAT DID NOT GO UNNOTICED, UNSUNG HERO. *Joelle has just been my fairy god planner during this whole process and put up with so much with a smile. She is so genuine and sweet and detail oriented. Chelsea was our personal attendant and was always there right when we needed her. We were taking pictures in the chapel during cocktail hour and Chelsea brought us food and drinks! On the wedding day, she helped the night run so smoothly and made sure we had anything we needed. Multiple of guests came up to me and told me that this was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. We really felt like every person we encountered at Ashton Gardens truly cared about making our wedding perfect. They also all seemed like they truly enjoyed their job and had fun celebrating with us. This venue is so beautiful on it’s own that you don’t need a whole lot of decorations. One of the biggest perks was the staff sets everything up and cleans every thing up. This includes setting up the guestbook table, the reception tables, literally everything! This took so much stress off my family and myself. They got to enjoy the pre-wedding moments and didn’t have to stay all night cleaning up. They also worked very well with all of our vendors, which made wedding planning easier. You do have to use their in house caterer’s, however the food is delicious and they have a wide variety of foods to choose from. We got a lot of comments on the chicken fried steak and the fried mac and cheese! Another thing I really appreciated was the pre-wedding meetings you have with the coordinator. Tara Calabria(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-10-2016 the 1 star given is simply because this venue is rather attractive. However, that is where the positivity ends. You have to use their caterer and the food is not on par with price at all. The communication from the wedding planner we were assigned to was poor, it took over 3 weeks to get back to us regarding our wine selection which was about 2 weeks before the wedding date. We had to repeat and correct her numerous times on details that were important to us- we opted to make a few menu changes and style changes (linens, number of chairs per table, nothing absurd) yet she continually defaulted to “factory reset” or what they must do for every other wedding. The day of the wedding we had photos taken before the ceremony and there was still a couple in the chapel having their rehearsal, when we went outside to take photos the sprinklers were turned on and we actually had to ask our onlooking “planner” to turn them off as she just sat there. The walk down the aisle was a complete disappointment as there was no music until half way through, while the planner mouthed from the back “it’s not working”- Probably something you should check before that moment comes. Set up for the actual reception was by far the most frustrating, as we opted to have both ball rooms open, yet during set up we were told we had to keep the wall closed so they could use it to show/interview with potential new clients, but they would set up for us before reception time. This was completely unacceptable, because by this time I have zero faith that our “planner” is competent enough to follow OUR plan rather than what she normally does, and this was our day! We paid a great deal of money for this one day to be treated like we no longer mattered because our checks have already been written. The final straw however was when the director came down and told myself and my wedding party as we were setting up that we were “the worst party they’ve ever worked with”, no matter what- you never tell a bride who has trusted you to make her day special something like that on her wedding day! Overall, I suggest going with a venue that listens and that will value the fact that this is a day you will remember for the rest of your life even though it’s just another day at work for them. They do not have my recommendation. Reviewed on 16-02-2018

It’s easy to see how beautiful the venue is, but there is so much more that makes this place outstanding. First of all, the venue comes with a coordinator! My coordinator was Brooke, and she was FANTASTIC. She spent the time to make sure every single detail of my day was perfect. I️ emailed her countless times in months leading up to the wedding with questions, and she always worked quickly to answer each one. She is extremely organized and always very positive. After the ceremony she was on her hands and knees helping bustle my dress.... she was able to do It so much faster than we would have been able to! She kept us on time and more importantly she kept a smile on our faces because we knew she had everything under control. Ronda Lake(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-07-2017 The venue was spectacular and we received rave reviews from our guests about how pretty the chapel and reception area were for a wedding. At first I dismissed this venue in my search based on how stunning it was and assumed I could not afford it. However, we made a few adjustments by shifting the wedding to a noon Saturday wedding with lunch instead of dinner and stayed within the budget. My wedding coordinator Brooke did an outstanding job. She felt like family by the time we finished. I would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful backdrop for your big day. The food was great! Brooke helped guide us to a meal that was always perfect: Chicken parmigiana, mac and cheese and green beans. Our guests loved the food and the venue. We decided not to serve alcohol for a noon wedding and wanted to use the bar area rather than waste the space. Brooke suggested a candy bar for the area and again it was a hit with the guests. I would suggest that if you have any special dietary restrictions to make sure you put those in writing and provide them to your coordinator at the first and second planning meeting. Ours got \"lost in the details\" and we had guests that didn't get to eat and some that left the reception to get lunch and missed a good portion of the reception. Reviewed on 23-09-2017
