I recently had the pleasure of planning my wedding reception at Ashton Gardens West Houston, and I must say it was a truly wonderful experience. We chose this venue for its beautiful chapel, large reception space to fit our guest count, and its all inclusive package offered. Overall, the planning process was a good experience. Madison was great and very accommodating during the whole planning process. Brooke was our day-of coordinator and was very pleasant to work with as well. I'm giving 3 stars because the quality of the food was lacking-- I had many family members tell me that the salmon and steak were both overcooked and very tough and they could not eat it. The venue only does open-houses at certain times of the year and only serve some of the menu as part of taste test, and so we weren't able to try the food we selected for our wedding. The DJ (hired as part of package) also played songs that were on our no-play list. There were also a lot of different people involved in different parts of the process. The person who we first met to discuss the venue and packages was different from the initial venue rep and then we were assigned a different person to help with the planning and then we had a different day-of coordinator who was assigned to us about a month prior to the wedding. Everyone was pleasant to work with and there weren't any big issues that arose but there was no consistency and we were caught off-guard by the constant switching of hands. Ultimately, the wedding went well, and my only feedback is that I wish the food quality was better for how much the package cost as that contributes to guest experience the most.

I loved having my wedding here. My planner, Nicole, was awesome and always had quick responses. Every cost and item were well explained so there were no surprises. I do wish we had the venue for an hour earlier and an hour later. No one was ready to leave. Kenneth, our DJ, was the best! My complaints would be that it was too hot in the chapel and reception area, even after we brought it up with staff. The day of coordinator was not knowledgeable of the venue (AC system, if certain rooms would lock for valuables, etc.) and uncertain of the day of timeline. She had outdated info. And left the night early. While there was another coordinator there for us, she never introduced me to her. Otherwise, it really was a great day!

Ashton Gardens West is a dreamy venue. Pictures doesn't do this place justice. We had our wedding 3/26/23 at 3:00 P.M in the afternoon with some overcast and pictures came out perfectly within the chapel. Overall my experience working with the staff and Sheila (our day of coordinator) was great. Day of we had some hiccups with the seating chart (with not enough seats per table), however they were quick to fix. We had a plated meal and dinner was served hot. Everyone spoke of how lovely an event it was and I couldn't be more sure of the venue I chosen.

Over $7,000 for unlimited open bar and they ran out of alcohol. Is that fair?As others have warned, yes the venue is nice, but there are significant issues with management. They were responsive when money was due but after our event was over they have ignored MULTIPLE text messages, emails, & phone calls. We would have been happy to try to resolve this by other means, but be prepared to be ignored after your event is over.We upgraded to the premium bar package because our favorite liquor was listed. It cost us over $7,000. Only a third of our guests drink, but the bar still ran out of our preferred liquor. It was our wedding day and we couldn't get the drink of our choice. Additionally, their payment website is not very advanced & one of our payments went through twice (ahead of schedule). We were told not to worry about it & since we overpaid the additional would be refunded after the wedding or deducted from any vendor fees. Well we were charged the vendor fees after the wedding & no word on the over payment. Another issue we had was that during the wedding our cake cutting was not clearly announced so our guests were unaware & the cake was not served - it was placed on a back table on one side of the venue so many guests did not get cake & there was SO MUCH CAKE LEFT OVER. All paid for & thrown in the trash.We realized many of these wedding vendors/sites just try to be nice up front & get your business but they know you're not coming back any time soon so once they get your money they really don't care. Truly disappointing.

Having our wedding at Ashton Gardens West Houston was the very best! Laura did an incredible job helping plan our special day. She was always available to answer our questions, above and beyond the planning and the detail meetings. I loved having a venue that included catering, stationary, DJ services, and planning services all in one package. It made the whole process so easy. Our food was incredible and was complimented by all our guests! Even the guests who requested special dietary plates said the food was great, and appreciated the extra effort that went into providing for their needs. There were no surprises or hidden fees and the deposit was promptly refunded the next day. On top of all this, the venue was beautiful!!! Highly recommend!

The venue itself is gorgeous. We fell in love with the chapel instantly. The reception space is so grand & beautiful. The food, when cooked properly is delicious. The servers and bartenders that worked the night of our wedding were wonderful. They were all very kind and attentive. That’s about all the good we have to say about this place. To begin, you will speak to 2 different people about your wedding. In our experience, there was a severe lack of communication between the initial person and our “planning representative”. In our first tour, we were told many things about what we could do as far as customizations and prices. We were also told the planning rep would be reaching out within one week. Almost 3 weeks went by before we actually heard from them. This was also true of the DJ services provided through the venue. Once we were passed on to the planning rep, everything changed. We were told “I’m not sure why they would tell you that, we aren’t allowed to do that”. So we made adjustments and moved on. However, this lack of communication continued between us and the planning rep. I was supposed to have a meeting with the planning rep and when the day and time came around they never called me. Apparently they had an emergency come up but didn’t have the decency to let me know. I demanded to speak to management, which by the way is almost impossible to reach. Our planning rep said they had spoken to management and things would be better. They were not. We had to involve another manager a week or two later to be in the email chain because the rep was still not responding to us. At this point we were extremely frustrated and upset with the way things had been happening. It was also brought to my attention the planning rep the person who has been planning everything with us, would not be at the wedding. 3 weeks before the wedding we would meet with a day of coordinator (DOC) in a “final details meeting”. It’s now the wedding day and the DOC and an assistant walk into the bridal suite and are completely flustered and disorganized. It felt like the DOC had no idea what was going on even though we had already gone through everything and I had given her a binder with every detail. At one point, they had come into the suite with some problems that needed to be fixed and I couldn’t go out there and fix them because that was her job after all. The assistant looked at me and said “don’t worry, we will figure it out”. I understand weddings are stressful, but it is your job to make sure things go smoothly and the bride is not more stressed than she already is. I had mentioned earlier the lack of communication between us and the DJ as well because there was. However, there was an app we had to fill out with every detail about dances, bouquet tosses, and toasts. They were aware of the times in which to initiate those events. We had to remind the DJ about the toasts and in the end, forgot to announce the bouquet toss. My husband and I were completely baffled at how they would forget to do something like that when they had us list it in their app! We had selected a steak and chicken duo for our dinner and had let them know before hand how to cook the steak. Almost every single steak was served raw. We were in shock. This place is gorgeous, however, in our experience it’s almost not worth everything we went through with the planning staff, the food, and the DJ. I hope they improve their communication and become more organized in the future.

I have mixed feelings about this review but wanted to give others warning. The venue itself is beautiful and fit my daughter's theme perfectly. The staff was very responsive throughout the process and answered questions we had leading up to the day of the wedding. The food was amazing which I was not really expecting after a tasting at an open house but I was pleasantly surprised. We had enough guests for two bars (confirmed multiple times) and opted for the signature drinks (our package included it). On the day of the wedding, they were definitely not prepared at the bar. I don't know what happened because I never got a straight answer. I don't think they had enough staff, or did not realize that two bars were agreed upon, or both. There were only two people working the bar, and one of them did not know how to make mixed drinks. They did not batch the signature drinks as promised so when people ordered those, it was taking longer than it should. The bar line during the cocktail hour was way too long and guests were not served in a timely manner. I paid way too much for the bar package including the extended hours to have this happen. Make sure you have in the contract the number of bars for the number of guests and how many bartenders will staff the event.

Unfortunately, our experience was not like the rest of the stunning reviews, which was what initially motivated us to go with Ashton Gardens. It seems the primary staff had changed and/or were undergoing some internal restructuring because communication was difficult, not reassuring, disengaged, and (dare I say) curt. That's the last thing an out-of-state bride needs... Overall, I did not feel like I was working with individuals who were service/hospitality-oriented... :( My only bright miracle of the wedding day was meeting and working with sweet Emily!

Ashton gardens was the best decision we made to have our wedding! The venue itself is extremely lovely and everything I wanted in a venue! The staff was awesome and were very attentive to us . I don't think we could have pulled off a smooth wedding without them and of course the food was amazing!

We had the most memorable wedding at this venue. Everything was perfect and couldn't have gone more smoothly. Keeton was wonderful to work with prior to the wedding she was very responsive to all our questions. Day of the wedding she was on top of it and very calm. I was scrambling being nervous and she had a calmness that everything was taken care of. It was such a great feeling to let go knowing that and I could enjoy our wedding day. DJ Alexander was so helpful with the song list prior too and had everyone out on the dance floor. His energy and ability to read the crowd was so good. We really enjoyed seeing everyone out there having a good time. The catering was delicious! We did not go to any tastings since the timing was so quick for us but they did not disappoint. We had plated dinner and the food was perfect temperature. They served us first and made sure we ate which is unheard of at weddings. Most Bride and Groom I hear don't get a chance to eat. Also, the bar was well stocked. We paid the extra hour and cut it off an hour before everyone left. It was the perfect amount of time. Thank you Keeton for all you did and Ashton Gardens for an over the top beautiful venue. It really was the best day we will remember forever. Can't thank you enough.

I just got married at this venue in July 2022. It truly is a beautiful venue and all my guest complimented how stunning the ceremony space is. The reception area and dance floor is HUGE. The best part was that they had packages where it included food, drinks, linens, photo booth, wedding invites. A lot of the cost and planning was taken care through the venue which was really nice. The food was okay. They don’t have tastings and to try the food you must go to their open house which was a downside, however, the guests said the food was decent. Make sure to ask lots of questions because there are things they don’t allow (ex- outside late night bites, confetti poppers, etc). Overall we had a pretty good experience!

REEM was a pleasure to work with. In the beginning of planning for the event, I was a little frustrated with one of the staff members as we were charged WAY before our final headcount was submitted. I gave an estimate of expected guests and was charged for the max estimate, which was 25 people higher than we had. We had 2 meetings scheduled, one of which was forgotten about and Reem saved the day with a phone call to apologize and answer any questions we had. REEM was the one who made sure our dollars were stretched by keeping the bar open until the end of the evening and throwing in some extra appetizers and a late night snack. Upon arrival the day of, the floor was a little dirty and my father ended up sweeping the remnants from the event the evening prior. Elizabeth was our day-of coordinator and was a pleasure to work with, making sure we had enough water, beer and wine when getting ready and overall keeping the wedding day on schedule. I highly recommend getting married at Ashton Gardens North and allowing the venue to plan the day of your dreams. The event space is simply stunning.

It is against my nature to write reviews - good and bad. I believe in face to face communication. I believe in building people up and not tearing them down. Unfortunately, my communication with this venue has been less than helpful, and I believe future brides must have facts before they drop their life-savings. My first caution to any bride considering this venue is go read all reviews. They are answered from a narcissistic, never say \"sorry,\" gaslight the reviewer standpoint. I imagine this one will be no different. This venue has built a culture of lying and casting blame on anyone but themselves. To their detriment, they do not believe in personal accountability.I have coordinated many weddings. The last place I expect problems is with the venue. I've never had to cover up so many mistakes, lies and problems so my bride could enjoy in peace.Recently, I was the bride's coordinator for a wedding at Ashton Gardens West. The venue is beautiful, and I had high hopes for the day going as planned. Early on, as I was decorating, the on-staff coordinator was having a heated disagreement with one of the staff ten yards away- completely unacceptable. Several times, we overheard staff complaining that they had worked too much and didn't want to do our Thursday wedding. The bridal and groom's suite were atrociously hot. The bride was literally sweating as her make up was being put on. They ran out of food at the reception, even before everyone had been through the line once. I realize we had a few unexpected extra people (10 ish - most were children), but there was not even a little extra, apparently. The staff had no problem communicating with our DJ about their needs until it came to \"last call\". I am quite certain that they had run through all the allotted alcohol they wanted to use at that time and didn't want to announce it, but just shut it down. I'm sure there are a plethora of excuses and honestly I wouldn't be writing this if it had only been one or two things. As a result of the lack of warning, we had a guest thrown out for asking questions (once again, I get it but this was avoidable - no one communicated with me that the bar was going to be shut down.) The bride had given them my email address twice for clarification and schedules, but they never bothered to email me. Staff knew it was a problem because they tried to stop the bride to explain themselves. They lied to me blaming the bride instead of working to fix problems. I think my biggest pet peeve of all is when you lie to save your butt. I can work through just about anything if I have facts and truth. At the end , the staff got in an argument justifying their actions instead of dealing privately. It was completely unprofessional. Guests left an hour early after the guest was kicked out, because no one wanted to stay. The staff started setting up for the next day before we left or our time was up. We felt forced out.This venue has a culture of lying, bickering, backstabbing, rushing people for their own gain and discounting what other people have to say. I literally caught the coordinators in several lies. They play people off each other to save face. They mow over people instead of actually caring about their client, and it will catch up to them. I don't have time to write this review. I gain nothing from this review. I hope they are able to install a culture that listens and honors people, but until then, I absolutely cannot recommend them.

The venue is beautiful, and I had high hopes for the day going as planned. Early on, as I was decorating, the on-staff coordinator was having a heated disagreement with one of the staff ten yards away- completely unacceptable. Several times, we overheard staff complaining that they had worked too much and didn't want to do our Thursday wedding. The bridal and groom's suite were atrociously hot. The bride was literally sweating as her make up was being put on. They ran out of food at the reception, even before everyone had been through the line once. I realize we had a few unexpected extra people (10 ish - most were children), but there was not even a little extra, apparently. The staff had no problem communicating with our DJ about their needs until it came to \"last call\". I am quite certain that they had run through all the allotted alcohol they wanted to use at that time and didn't want to announce it, but just shut it down. I'm sure there are a plethora of excuses and honestly I wouldn't be writing this if it had only been one or two things. As a result of the lack of warning, we had a guest thrown out for asking questions (once again, I get it but this was avoidable - no one communicated with me that the bar was going to be shut down.) The bride had given them my email address twice for clarification and schedules, but they never bothered to email me. Staff knew it was a problem because they tried to stop the bride to explain themselves. They lied to me blaming the bride instead of working to fix problems. I think my biggest pet peeve of all is when you lie to save your butt. I can work through just about anything if I have facts and truth. At the end , the staff got in an argument justifying their actions instead of dealing privately. It was completely unprofessional. Guests left an hour early after the guest was kicked out, because no one wanted to stay. The staff started setting up for the next day before we left or our time was up. We felt forced out.This venue has a culture of lying, bickering, backstabbing, rushing people for their own gain and discounting what other people have to say. I literally caught the coordinators in several lies. They play people off each other to save face. They mow over people instead of actually caring about their client, and it will catch up to them. I don't have time to write this review. I gain nothing from this review. I hope they are able to install a culture that listens and honors people, but until then, I absolutely cannot recommend them.

Ashton Gardens was the perfect venue for our perfect day. You truly cannot beat the backdrop in the chapel with all of the windows to the greenery outside. There is no doubt that all of your pictures will turn out to be stunning! The reception hall is a great size, especially the dance floor. The food and bar options were incredible, and everything gets served in a timely manor. Our day-of coordinators for our small ceremony and our postponed reception a year later were amazing! They take the time to check in on the bride and groom throughout the evening to make sure we are all good and keep us updated with the schedule and little changes that get made. Everyone is so friendly and easy to work with, making all of that planning seem less challenging! Definitely go to the food tasting if you decide to book, they have raffles for different items you can add to your packages, and my husband and I won a free photo booth at our reception!! It was definitely a hit with our guests. Overall, if I could use Ashton Gardens again, I would! Do not hesitate to have your ceremony & reception here!!

The wall-to-wall windows in the chapel made for a beautiful ceremony, and the ballroom is classic, elegant, and full of space for tons of guests. From the tour to the planning meetings to the day-of, they are on top of everything and do everything they can to honor every idea and request you have. The day was stress-free because they set everything up, ensured the couple had everything they needed, and kept everyone on schedule. As a very Type-A bride, I appreciated the high level of detail and thoughtfulness they had throughout the entire wedding process. Also, all of the servers and bartenders were super friendly and attentive.The food at our wedding was something that was most important to us, and it was absolutely delicious! After the large group tasting (which I've heard is changing), we were a little worried about the quality of some of the options we tasted, but on the day of, every single thing that was served was SO GOOD. My guests raved about the Chicken Forrestier, and I have never had such amazing chicken quesadillas (and I love a good quesadilla).My guests also LOVED the photobooth that is offered as an upgrade option. There was a line all night, and I've had several friends ask which company I used, so they can book it for their upcoming weddings. Plus, you get a digital copy of every photo that's taken that evening. In summary, our experience was nothing short of perfect, and I am so glad we booked with Ashton Gardens Houston West. Come for the beautiful scenery, but book for great food, top-notch planning and coordinating, and wonderful people who will make your day a memorable experience.

Ashton Gardens West Houston was the perfect place for my daughter’s wedding!! The chapel was absolutely beautiful, set with a wall of windows looking at trees and had huge wooden doors for your entrance. After the ceremony, all our guests could walk over to the reception area for drinks and hor d ‘oeuvres. The ballroom was huge with beautiful chandeliers and walls of glass. The chef prepared food that was well received. and delicious!! The staff was very professional and behind the scenes. The ballroom had a huge dance floor and lots of areas to have a photo booth, hedge wall or whatever your vision is. We want to personally say “thank you” to our day of coordinator, Shelby B. She made suggestions and helped keep our rehearsal/ wedding flowing. She was behind the scenes but available, if needed. We had Nina personally take care of the bride and groom’s needs. She was very attentive too! At the end of the night, Shelby helped gather our things and said if we left anything behind, she’d contact us. We were so happy with the wedding venue and staff and how wonderful everything was!!! I would definitely recommend Ashton Gardens West Houston!

Ashton Gardens West was the very first wedding venue that I viewed. I fell in love with the Chapel and the fact that the banquet room had windows gave it more of an open feeling compared to most banquet halls. And who wouldn’t fall in love with the gorgeous chandeliers! But boy do I regret my decision! The ultimate disrespect was Brittney doing the moment of silence in memory of my recently deceased father before I even entered the Chapel despite it clearly being stated on my Order of Ceremony to be done AFTER I walked down the aisle. I was so upset with my Pastor because I thought he’d forgotten. It wasn’t until I viewed a video of the ceremony that I realized that Brittney did it before I entered. On the video, Brittney walked down my rose petal layered aisle and walked up to the Pastor and whispered to him to do the moment of silence. So tacky! The second most disrespectful thing the venue did was put us out! We paid up to 10:30pm, BEFORE 10:30pm the last song was played, and the off-duty jerk of an officer began being rude and telling people they had to leave. He even shined his flashlight on people. My mother who is elderly and walks with a limp and my Aunt who is wheelchair bound were rushed also in an extremely rude manner. My Maid of Honor asked Brittney if they do this to everyone. I hope it wasn’t because we were Black. I more-so think it’s because they run weddings like an assembly line. No wedding was after ours. After working with Scarlett for nearly a year, I was told two weeks before my wedding that she'd given her two weeks notice and the Sales Director, Brittney Smith, would now be my Day of Coordinator. Thank God I hired my own Day of Coordinator; Kouture Elite Planning saved my wedding day!!!The venue is very strict and used to basic cookie cutter weddings. If you want individuality then likely this isn’t the venue for you. I had to get “approval” from the Operations Manager to utilize acrylic heart shaped place cards opposed to the old school paper ones. Why would something like this need approval if it’s serving the same purpose? I found the venues stringent rules hard to work with. I was discouraged to have a runner in the Chapel as it was a “tripping hazard”. The venue provided what they considered to be a snack. It was horrible! It was 4 of us and they provided like 3 slices of cheese and a few pieces of fruit. We didn’t touch it. I was told that I couldn’t use a bubble machine for our first dance because it would make the dance floor slippery. My Maid of Honor’s mother owns her own bakery in Washington D.C. The venue made her jump through so many hoops to get “approved” as an outside vendor. Plus, I read one of the reviews and it mentioned the Bride felt the wedding was “rushed”. Despite me discussing upfront with both Scarlett and Brittney about I didn’t want to feel “rushed” on my big day that’s exactly what took place. The venue provided a sparklers sendoff. The venue required guests to lineup in the parking lot which made for unattractive exit pictures. I was told the venue does it this way to prevent smoke from the sparklers entering the building. Ridiculous! I was so disappointed at our rehearsal. I was 15 minutes late. We ran through the rehearsal quickly and my elderly mother asked if we could run through it again and because we had reached 1-hour time limit Brittney denied us the opportunity. My outside Day of Coordinator tried to convince her, and she wouldn’t accommodate us.

I was just married at Ashton Gardens on 6-27-20 and the entire planning process with this team was seamless, fun, easy, and minimal stress! The venue is absolutely gorgeous, elegant, extremely clean, and has so many spots for beautiful photos inside and out. The food was DELICIOUS and guests could not stop talking about it! My wedding coordinator, Shelby, made sure everything was exactly as I wanted while planning, and kept us all on task on the day of which made us less stressed. Brittney also helped us with planning and made it fun and personalized and also recommended a few things for us which we had not previously thought to do. Our bartender, Rich, was loved by all, and our personal server, Nina, was so attentive for us the entire evening. My girls and I loved getting ready in the beautiful bridal suite which has the perfect area for getting hair and make up done. The guys also loved the groom's suite which has a television and a foosball table to keep them busy while waiting. The entire team worked hard to have the entire venue disinfected, spotless, and all employees were wearing masks and gloves. My guests and I agreed that we felt safer and cleaner at Ashton Gardens than we do going to a grocery store! We got married at Ashton Gardens West and it was absolutely perfect! The venue is beautiful and was actually the first and only venue we toured and we knew it was the place we wanted to be married. The staff there are amazing and know exactly what they are doing! Our wedding coordinator was Reem and she was INCREDIBLE! She made our wedding run so smoothly. We got married at Ashton Gardens West and it was absolutely perfect! The venue is beautiful and was actually the first and only venue we toured and we knew it was the place we wanted to be married. The staff there are amazing and know exactly what they are doing! Our wedding coordinator was Reem and she was INCREDIBLE! She made our wedding run so smoothly. Ashton Gardens Houston West - the most amazing venue and staff! My coordinator Reem went above and beyond making my life easy planning my wedding. She is so detail oriented and responsive. Brittney with sales was also great to work with. Ashton Gardens is great because you can do everything there through them - ceremony, reception, catering, bar and decorations. I did some upgrades with them including a photobooth, gobo with our names on the wall and a candlelight ceremony.The venue itself is beautiful and doesn't require much decorating. The food is amazing too. The guests loved the plated dinner, especially the passed appetizers during cocktail hour. They worked with me to create a custom bar package that fit my budget.I used recommended vendors for floral, cake and photography - and was very happy.You get what you pay for plus so much more with Ashton Gardens.

Ashton Gardens Houston West (their Clay Road location) was just amazing to work with! Scarlett was our coordinator and she did a fabulous job. But truly, every staff member we communicated with was wonderful - Brittany and Reem were delightful as well! Being a mom while planning a wedding made our meetings slightly scattered and Scarlett did a fabulous job of tracking my ideas even through the distractions of my one year old chiming in. Every detail of the day was completely on point with what we discussed in our planning meetings and she was truly our super star! She also did an AWESOME job working with our photographer to tag team keeping everything moving gracefully through the evening. The food was incredible - our guests are still talking about how great it was! And, the bridal and groom suites were perfect and spacious for us and our large troop to get ready in! Plus - they were so accommodating in allowing our nanny to watch our three littlest guests in the bridal suite during the reception! We loved every moment of planning our wedding with Ashton Gardens and our day was perfect for us!!

I tend to prefer very modern styles and was originally looking for that in a venue. When we found Ashton Gardens at first I was a little worried that it was too classic/traditional for my taste and a little too much of a generic wedding venue. I must say that I was a little worried how everything would turn out with my style. I can honestly say that my worries were for nothing. The venue was beautiful, and looked magical in the evening light. The food ended up being GREAT, despite a tasting that was a little lacking. (I’ve had multiple guests contact me about the food we served saying it was some of the best wedding food they’d ever had.) I did cover up some details that I didn’t love (tablecloths for the pedestal tables, etc.) but honestly the look and feel of the space are so nice on the day of. I can say that everything is an upcharge, from the photo booth to any alcohol in the getting ready suites, but that’s to be expected from any wedding venue these days. Our coordinator (Katie) was really great. She answered my countless emails within 30 minutes every time and was so great on the day of. She really did help everything run smoothly and was indispensable during the whole process. Overall, I would recommend Ashton Gardens!

This review that I am writing is later than I had desired it to be because of the hectic new wedding planning I've had to plan in a matter of three months due to Ashton Gardens. My wedding planning with Ashton gardens began with an inquiry that did not get a response until a week later, and the response only came after emailing the staff about my inquiry. Nonetheless, my fiance and I went with Ashton gardens but we should have taken their behaviour as a warning. Throughout my wedding planning with Brittney Smith, whenever I requested anything, I was met with an unaccommodating, dry, denial; about absolutely anything. This worried me, because I felt like their behavior was a reflection of the service on the wedding day. I was afraid that they would make my day more difficult given how they were unaccommodating in the planning. I worried about their service in regards to food, setup, and hospitality with the guests. I made it clear to Brittney with this exact message just four, four months before the wedding, \"Brittney, I am having an issue in which we believe your unaccomodation to make the bride and groom happy throughout this planning process will be a reflection on Ashton Garden's service and standards on the wedding day. I do plan on making a review after the wedding about how difficult it has been to get any sort of accommodation from the venue.\"The response I received was completely uncalled for, extraordinarily unprofessional, and disrespectful. My email was then forwarded without my permission and my fiance received a call with the threat of cancelling the wedding, just four months before the wedding, and conveyed the message that they would no longer want to work with me and would only work through a different member of my family, a wedding planner, or my fiance. To this, I called Brittney and let her know that I would like to speak to her manager, Shara, she provided me the number and I left her a message. Minutes after my message, my fiance, not me, gets a call the they have terminated our contract. Completely unprofessional, they would not speak to me. There was no attempt from higher staff to discuss the matter or to understand, and nothing had been said to warrant this reaction. I had to terminate contracts with furniture vendors, charger plates, makeup artists, etc. I was left with a little less than four months, four months, to find a new venue, and change everything that I had set with Ashton Gardens to a new venue. I had to notify all my guests of this change, and order and send new invitations. They know the preparation that goes into a wedding, and yet they terminated with me for nothing. I pray that anyone looking to use this venue know how disrespectful, unprofessional, unaccomdodating end extremely not understanding they are. Please take notice that they have the right to terminate three, a merely three months before your wedding date for no reason and you could be left planning a new wedding in a matter of months.

My wedding was in July this year. I wish I could relive this day over and over. Ashton Gardens staff is incredible, and their venue is gorgeous. Having day of coordination from their staff made my life (and my family's life) SO much easier. They have great style, and you can be sure to trust them as they are helping florists and vendors set up. Everyone kept saying how calm I was on my wedding day, and that's all because of the wonderful Ashton Garden staff!

My wedding was in July this year. I wish I could relive this day over and over. Ashton Gardens staff is incredible, and their venue is gorgeous. Having day of coordination from their staff made my life (and my family's life) SO much easier. They have great style, and you can be sure to trust them as they are helping florists and vendors set up. Everyone kept saying how calm I was on my wedding day, and that's all because of the wonderful Ashton Garden staff!

My husband and I got married here July 2017. We cannot say enough about how professional everyone is who works here. We didn't have to worry about a thing the day of our wedding. They literally took care of everything! The service was amazing and we received so many compliments on how beautiful the chapel is!

This review is simply to help others in the important decision of choosing your venue for your wedding day. Let me start with saying I do not regret using Ashton Gardens. My wedding was wonderful and picturesque. ! However, one bride to another, I am going to air out the headaches that occurred along the way, and after the wedding. 1) Please be aware and simply ask if and when you will be able to use the bridal suite on the day of your wedding. I was told I would not have access to Ashton Gardens until 4:30 pm (with a 6:00 pm wedding) because of guests touring the facility. Honestly, their main focus was getting more business, not making my day as special as possible. 2) They do respond to emails in a somewhat timely manner (it may take up to 5 days). However, it can take multiple emails to get a simple answer about one thing. 3) If and when something goes wrong, do not expect an apology, or for Ashton Gardens to accept any responsibility. My menu was drastically changed without my knowledge. We were missing the vegetables and potatoes. When my mother emailed to inquire about the missing food we were told that these sides were actually not included in the meal we selected- a mistake our wedding coordinator made. Once they realized this mistake, they corrected the menu; however, they did not notify me. A simple phone call would have sufficed. Honestly, I think they hoped I wouldn't notice during my final wedding meeting, and I didn't. It all the pre-wedding madness it's bound to happen. However, why would I think my wedding coordinator would change my menu without checking with me? Their response to the missing food: “we’ll you signed off on it so… not our problem.” Very unprofessional. I would like to make a note that we were refunded for the price of the missing sides. Please know that this was only done after reaching as high up as possible on the employment ladder of Ashton Gardens to complain. They seemed more interested in defending each other than hearing constructive feedback from a recent customer. Had it been up to the Director of Sales and Planning no compensation, or even an apology would have been offered for the mistake. 4) I had to constantly double check my BEO and all billing. During our process we went through multiple drafts in which different details and pricing were not correct. For example, we saw we were being charged $8 per cocktail instead of $7 per cocktail. Had we not caught this slip, we would have spend hundreds of extra dollars. These critiques are not to say that Ashton Gardens is not an amazing facility to have your wedding. My wedding was beautiful and my reception even more so. I truly do appreciate my coordinator who made the actual day go very smoothly. However things such as bridal suite access, my wedding food, and billing, are not small problems to encounter. It’s also not so much that these problems occurred, but the attitude behind the staff when they were addressed. Good luck to all those brides out there!

My sister fell in love with Ashton Gardens when she visited the venue. Everything was beyond beautiful from the chapel to the ballroom. All the guests complimented on how beautiful and elegant the place was. We didn't use the chapel but I loved that we still had access to it to take pictures. The wedding coordinator was Ashley and she was AMAZING. She is the absolute sweetest person to work with and she constantly cared for my sister and her now husband. She helped with all of the little hiccups that I overlooked and accommodated to anything we wanted that wasn't on the plan. The bride and groom had the best night because of Ashton Gardens. Thank you so much for everything!

We had our wedding at Ashton Gardens West and it was absolutely beautiful! The large windows with trees lining the outside in the chapel gave it a perfect inside/outside feel. The entire Ashton Gardens staff and beautiful coordinators, Morgan and Ashley, were amazing to work with and they made our day stress free.The only negative feedback we had from our day was that...we should have booked the venue for a longer time! We got married at the Ashton Gardens West Houston location, and it's the perfect venue if you love greenery and natural lighting without having a wedding outside! We used the chapel (which OMG is the most beautiful chapel ever) and the ballroom, which made it easy for our guests to transition from one to the other without needing to drive. There was no doubt in my mind that this venue was beautiful, however, there were a few things I would have changed. First, I would have extended the time of our wedding. Our wedding was 5 hours and 30 min long, which was from 5:00 pm - 10:30 pm (including ceremony AND reception). All the vendors kept telling me that there was ample amount of time for a wedding of 200 guests, but I wish I followed my gut and extended our time. If we wanted more time, it would have cost us $300 extra for every 30 min! Since I have a large family, picture taking took up more time than expected.Secondly, we had the Sterling Buffet where your guests go up and serve themselves,. Some guests informed me that they couldn't go back for seconds because the food was already taken away. In our contract, it says that food is served for 1 hour, but I had a lot of guests inform me afterwards that they were still hungry and some didn’t even get to eat! It’s expected that guests will wonder, go to the bar, go to the Photo Booth, take pictures around the venue and etc. So giving my guests 1 hour to eat didn't work. In all, when planning a wedding, you don't really know what will work and will not work. Time was definitely a factor. I wish our wedding planner had asked us if we wanted to extend our time the day of the wedding. It’s impossible to know if you want to extend it beforehand. Upon signing the contract we only paid for an additional 30 minutes, but if our wedding planner would have asked us the day of our wedding, we would have paid the extra money to extend with all vendors. Other than that, we had a beautiful wedding within budget and everyone had fun.

Ashton Gardens is the perfect wedding venue for every bride and groom! They did an amazing job helping me get all the final details together and made my wedding day go so smoothly. My wedding planner was Ashley and SHE IS THE BEST EVER! She took such great care of my husband and I throughout the wedding planning process, the wedding day, and always made us feel so calm and happy. The only down side is that there is not a good location to take outdoor pictures except in front of their signature doors. Their food was also SOOO good! Ashton Gardens knows how to throw a fun wedding with so much class! Loved it!

My husband and I got married here at the West Location and it was amazing, The entire process was smooth our wedding planner was Brittney and she was amazing!! She handled any and all questions we had and was always responsive, the venue itself was great the chapel and reception was beautiful. We got the sterling buffet package and it was delicious and everyone loved the food, Also, everyone said the drinks were great and not weak so I was happy about that. However, the only complaint is that people were bringing there glasses to the dance floors because for some reason drinks were being picked up from the table regardless if they were full or not. I did not get a chance to witness this but if it was true that would be the only thing to watch out for. Other than that the night and process was great.

DO NOT USE THIS VENUE!\rThe chapel was a dream. So beautiful and small that it filled up beautifully. That's where it ends... The food is sub par. You could point in any direction and find way better food at a restaurant. The Staff are prissy and a bucket of 6 beer cost $172.oo Really??!!The hall stunk as soon as the reception started(which was only 100 people AND we rented both sides so that we would be the only ones there!) The $41 per person open bar RAN OUT of liquor. (my family and friends didnt drink much either). The venue lost the majority of my stuff (sleeves to my dress, cards with money went missing, boxes from decorations, I ended up having to pay the florist for \"lost\" vases.) My top layer of cake was cut up and served. Even though I specifically asked the venue and baker to leave instructions to save it for me! and what was saved was butchered! The grounds were awful- the pillars are NOT REAL so don't even think of doing a picture leaning against them. I couldn't do any pictures in the grass as everything was overwatered and it hadn't rained for several day before the wedding. None of the special food allergies were accommodated- oh sure they say they understand. But then they serve you a salad with cheese in it when you are allergic to DAIRY! and say that it wont happen again... It was too late. I ate the salad that I didn't know had cheese on it!! I could go on and on... Even the DJ they recommended was awful. Please take my advise.. for this amount of money find someplace that knows what they are doing. Ashton Gardens West clearly does not.

I got married in August at Ashton Gardens and I was beyond happy with my experience. I worked with Shara in the beginning for contract details and Bethany was my coordinator for my wedding. Both of these ladies (and the entire staff) went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we wanted. They did an incredible job with everything and everyone raved about what a perfect day it was! \r\rThe venue was beautiful and you can tell they are proud of what they do. The grounds are well kept and everything was so clean and nice for us. I could just live in their chapel, its so beautiful!\r\rThe Ashton Garden team will make sure everything runs smoothly for you from your rehearsal to the timeline of your wedding day so you can just sit back and enjoy your wedding day. And not to mention the delicious food! You MUST get the mac n cheese bar! I had a brunch wedding on a Sunday and they just made it feel perfect, everyone loved the food! We had both the ceremony and the reception at the new Clay Road Ashton Gardens. I worked with Megan McFarland. She was an absolute blessing to work with. She responded to every call and request right away, and was very upfront and informative about the details and worked hard to accommodate all of our needs. She ran the wedding like a pro, and even unpacked many of the decorations to help me get the reception ready. She always had a smile on her face, and managed all the wedding jitters and anxiety with complete calm! Those are the things this Mom appreciates most about a wedding coordinator! \r\rThe facility is beautiful - amazing chapel, and it really is perfect as it is. The reception room is easy to decorate as it is neutral and goes with about anything - however, it doesn't require much to make it your own. The food was plentiful and very tasty. They made my daughter's wedding day a perfect day! All of the comments that we heard from our guests were how beautiful the venue was and how much they enjoyed the meal. I have no complaints - start to finish!

She responded to every call and request right away, and was very upfront and informative about the details and worked hard to accommodate all of our needs. She ran the wedding like a pro, and even unpacked many of the decorations to help me get the reception ready. She always had a smile on her face, and managed all the wedding jitters and anxiety with complete calm! Those are the things this Mom appreciates most about a wedding coordinator! \r\rThe facility is beautiful - amazing chapel, and it really is perfect as it is. The reception room is easy to decorate as it is neutral and goes with about anything - however, it doesn't require much to make it your own. The food was plentiful and very tasty. They made my daughter's wedding day a perfect day! All of the comments that we heard from our guests were how beautiful the venue was and how much they enjoyed the meal. I have no complaints - start to finish!
