I'm so surprised there are not more reviews on this venue. My husband and I recently had our wedding reception here, and it was PERFECT! The venue is a beautiful historic building. It's in downtown Austin and close to several hotels, which makes it super easy for out-of-town guests. This venue also provides almost everything you need! They provide the food (which was delicious) and bar service as well tables, chairs, linens, etc. It made the planning process so much easier. Kristin is the wedding coordinator at The Austin Club, and she did such a great job in helping us plan our event! She was super responsive and very accommodating. All of our guests had a great time! You need to check this place out!

Julie and team are fantastic to work with and executed a flawless wedding! Julie went above and beyond to ensure our photographer got the photos of the room dressed up which was so important to me!The Austin Club ballroom is absolutely stunning from top to bottom! The food was so delicious and the guests had the best time! I cannot say enough good things about Julie and the Austin Club staff!

The Austin Club was the perfect reception venue! It was so beautiful and the chandeliers are to die for. We have received so many compliments from friends and family on how incredible the Austin Club was and how delicious the food tasted. It was so easy and wonderful to work with Lillian throughout the wedding planning process. And while we were excited to see how our room would look, we were floored when we saw how gorgeous our reception was when we entered the ballroom. It was beautiful and exactly what we had dreamt! We cannot begin to express our appreciation for all of Lillian's help. As we begin our life together as husband and wife, we look forward to coming back to the Austin Club for more special occasions in the future.

The Austin Club was not only an elegant and gorgeous venue to host our ceremony and reception, but the service from planning to execution was impeccable. Lillian and her staff were invaluable to us through the entire affair, the food was amazing, the attention to detail flawless and several guests commented that our wedding was the best they had ever attended. All the services we needed were catered to from full set up/break down of the room, private bridal rooms for prep, private dining are for my husband and I to relax for a short time, to the exquisite take home picnic basket. I highly recommend the Austin Club to anyone planning a wedding in Austin, they are truly the best in town!

Words can not express how grateful I am to Lilian and the Austin Club. My wedding was everything I wanted and more! It was absolutely beautiful! The chandeliers gave my wedding such an elegant touch and the food! OMG. The food was delicious! All of my guests were raving at how delicious everything was people kept running back to get seconds (we had a buffet). I would recommend this place in a heartbeat to any bride that envisions an elegant wedding with such an amazing atmosphere. It is definitely a bit pricey, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Incredible service, delicious food, and such a beautiful place.

We cannot thank Austin Club enough for such a special event!!! Lillian and all the staff at the club went above and beyond from initial meetings to our tasting and most importantly the amazing wedding reception night!!! It was gorgeous from top to bottom and some of the best service I've had in my life. If you're thinking of using a downtown location with impeccable service, great food with a great value, and Austin history - the Austin club is your venue!!! We searched dozens of venues and nothing compared the the Austin club. Our guests still rave about the food!! It's true! Even our videographer that eats wedding food ALL the time said it was extremely good - he was impressed! Happy wedding planning!! Enjoy every moment and partner with Lillian at the Austin Club. It will be a night you'll never forget.

The moment we walked into the Austin Club's ballroom, we knew this was our dream wedding venue!! The ballroom is breathtaking...literally! (my jaw actually dropped when we walked in). We saw a few more venues before we booked, but nothing compared. We had great experiences working with the staff and with Lillian, and our wedding turned out more gorgeous than I could have ever imagined! It was PERFECT!The Austin Club was AMAZING- everything I wanted in a wedding venue. The feel of the Austin Club is romantic, elegant, and classy....together with the huge mahogany bar, lighting, and chandeliers made for a magical evening! The value for what you get is on point with many options available. The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and they cater to you and your guests-they really made me, my husband and our guests feel special. Lillian was fast and responsive to e-mails/questions and very helpful throughout the planning process. The food is delicious, too!! Multiple wedding guests commented on how good the food was, especially the bacon wrapped quail! The layout was perfect- any layout you choose includes a good size dance floor. They also have complimentary parking that can accommodate even a large guest count- which is hard to find downtown.Our wedding night was truly magical and the ballroom was absolutely gorgeous! I had wedding guests come up to me, my parents and my mother-in-law and tell us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. My husband told me afterwards that we should get married here every year :)

The Austin Club was the perfect venue for our wedding! Their service - from start to finish - is top-notch. They are so easy to work with through the planning process, and keep everything stress-free. Then the night of the wedding - the room is gorgeous, service is perfect, food is delicious, which all made for a perfect night for us and all of our friends and family.

My wedding reception at the Austin Club was absolutely beautiful. The Austin Club was a perfect venue for the reception. The ballroom was spectacular. The chandeliers and lighting took us to another era. The service was great, the food was magnificent and the ballroom was breathe taking. Lillian, the catering manager, was great to work with. She made sure every detail was taken care of. The wedding was the first Saturday in December and the Austin Club was fully decorated for Christmas. It was a perfect evening. My guest had nothing but favorable comments.

Our daughter's reception was simply PERFECT! The Austin Club has an amazing, helpful, and professional staff. They left no detail to chance. Everything was thought out from the floor plan to the send off. The food was outstanding! Many of our guests have called us to share how much they enjoyed the food and the whole experience. \rLillian, Catering general manager, was invaluable and almost served as a wedding planner for the reception. We appreciated her help and advice tremendously!\rI recommend The Austin Club to anyone desiring to experience the best of elegant and tasteful Austin!

At first we chose the Austin Club because of the historical significance to Austin and sentimental value for my family. However, the service, staff, hospitality, attention to detail, food quality and options, and overall ambience of the place was truly spectacular! It was an overwhelming beautiful and magical place for our wedding reception. Lillian was wonderful to work with and accommodated all of our needs and provided some additional ideas that we hadn't thought of and were just perfect. \r\rA huge thank you to the Austin Club for an unforgettable evening!

The best venue and staff anywhere. Lillian was absolutely wonderful. She is great to work with and very accomodating. The staff is outstanding. They staff is professional and very helpful. The food is unbelievable. We received lots of compliments on the dinner. Perfect place for a wedding.

My husband and I just had our wedding reception at The Austin Club and could not have been more pleased. The setting is beautiful and elegant, the food is great, and Lillian (the venue coordinator) is wonderful to work with. I live out of state so was coordinating everything from afar (and with a short engagement!) and Lillian was totally accommodating and let me wait on making important decisions until after I finished my school year which was a huge stress relief. The ballroom is absolutely gorgeous - I got a ton of compliments on it including one person who said it reminded of her of when she used to live in Paris! The staff was very friendly and helped the reception move along seamlessly. They are both low-key/easy to work with but also pay attention to details so that I could just relax and have a wonderful time that evening. The location was perfect since I'd always had in my mind to do a downtown Austin wedding - all the guests could stay at hotels nearby and many went out downtown after the wedding. I can't say enough good things about how wonderful everyone was to work with at The Austin Club but most importantly, they all helped it be a wonderful evening that all of our guests enjoyed!

We couldn't have been happier or more impressed with the Austin Club as our choice of venue. It's gorgeous, vintage, southern styled, and the service and management were also top notch. They went over and above all expectations. I'm so grateful to Lillian for making my day the best day it could have been, and the best day of our lives. If you want memories that you will want to remember forever, book here. The value for the $ is also amazing. Tons of food for one great overall price. They took care of everything and me feel like the only girl in the world. What a magical day. Thanks again to Lillian and her outstanding staff. Nothing could have been better.

My fiance and I looked at dozens of venues in Austin and when we saw the Austin Club we knew it was the one. From the gorgeous mahogany bar to the chandeliers and glass pre-war french doors, the Austin Club was everything we hoped it would be. When the DJ announced us and we walked through the ballroom doors, I couldn't believe this was my wedding!!! The icing on the cake was Lillian -- The Austin Club wedding coordinator. Lillian was truly amazing. Lillian and her staff were there for my every need and cared as much as I did that everything was perfect. My fiance was also thrilled and absolutely loved Lillian. And by the way...the food is EVERYTHING the reviews claim it to be --remarkable! (Our guests were still talking about the food the next day). We also thought that the price was very reasonable for everything that was provided. Lillian and the staff at the Austin Club made things easy and treated us like royalty the entire night. We couldn't have been happier with our choice!! (also, the Austin Club is as incredible in photographs as it is in person!!)

I had my wedding ceremony and reception at the Austin Club in Sept 2012. The venue is beautiful and surprisingly well-priced given the location, quality of food, and available options.\r\rTo anyone looking to have both a ceremony AND reception there, do note that it is required to have a wedding coordinator for the day-of to assist with the \"flip\" of the space. At first I was a little put off by this, but after it was all said and done I completely understand why that's required, and also appreciated having a coordinator for the day-of. If you book at the Austin Club for your wedding you will work with Lillian, who is totally on top of things, but also rather particular. For the bride that is organized, punctual, and a little Type A, then you will get along with Lillian just fine. I enjoyed working with her very much, and appreciated her meticulousness as she is devoted to making your day beautiful and stress-free--which mine was. I was worried about the short amount of time in between the ceremony and reception with which the staff would be \"flipping\" the space, but true to her word, Lillian and team had it done in less than 45 minutes.\r\rThe food was delicious, and there were so many wonderful choices it was hard to narrow down the menu. \r\rThe location is perfect if you want a sophisticated urban setting. We knew our guests would be taking in Austin's night life afterwards to this allowed us perfect access to downtown. Could not have been happier with the venue and received numerous compliments from guests. It also looks great in our wedding photos.

I can't even begin to explain how beautiful The Austin Club is!!! We made the best decision to have our wedding reception here. Lillian is absolutely amazing to work with! Our family and friends can not stop talking about the service they received at our reception along with the ambiance! If you have not booked a wedding reception spot, please contact Lillian to set up an appointment and make sure you bring your checkbook ;)!!!

I cannot speak highly enough of the Austin Club and their staff. Number one on our list for our wedding was food. We are both big foodies and decided that was most important to us. I must give my hubs credit for this find, as he was the one to do a search and discover it online. We went for dinner and before the main course even arrived I said to him, \"get me a contract.\" :) But what's even better is the service. I am HUGE on customer service. It can really make or break an experience and EVERY person we've every interacted with (including those not involved in our wedding at all) has always been spectacular. They are all friendly and truly make you feel that you matter. As for the location itself, it is really a gem. It's not modern by any means, but the details of the building are outstanding. Several of my guests commented on how elegant the venue itself was, and I believe it made it that much easier for our decor. We had to do minimal decor and let the building speak for itself. Overall I couldn't be happier with Lillian and the Austin Club. Oh, and as for Lillian herself she is great at timely communication and is super sweet (both a huge plus for me!) There are few things I would give 5 stars to throughout our wedding planning process, but the Austin Club is without question deserving of this rating. Thanks to all!!

What can I say about Lillian and the Austin Club family? Top notch people plus a one-of-a-kind facility equals one amazing wedding experience. I knew that I wanted to book the Austin Club for my reception based solely on what I had seen online, but seeing the facility in person and meeting the lovely Lillian put me over the edge. Walking up the staircase and seeing the ballroom for the first time is a magical experience. From the gorgeous chandeliers to the rich mahogany bar, the ballroom is breathtaking. \r\rLillian and her staff took such good care of me and made my wedding planning experience smooth sailing. This was quite a feat since I planned my wedding during my final year of law school and while studying for the bar. Lillian has excellent taste which only comes from years of experience in the wedding industry. She knows her facility up and down and provides excellent advice on what works and what does not. My wedding would not have been a success without her!\r\rOh my goodness, the FOOD! I had been told the food at the Austin Club was amazing, but I was still blown away. The menu options are so tantalizing that it took my husband and I weeks to narrow down the menu to 4 hot and 4 cold appetizers. Unlike other weddings I have been to where the bride and groom served appetizers, these sumptuous snacks were extremely filling. We had pulled-pork sliders, kobe beef sliders, crab cakes, delicious salmon on a wonton crisps, prosciutto wrapped asparagus, caprese skewers, an heirloom tomato bruschetta, and bacon-wrapped chicken jalapeno bites (a la George's crazy wings for the Baylor fans out there). Plus, Lillian made sure that my husband and I actually got to enjoy our food. Before we joined the rest of the party upstairs, we had our own private dinner.\r\rAnother thing I loved about the Austin Club was its size. Since we were getting married in August, it was important to find a venue that could accommodate a large number of people inside. Some other venues could hold large numbers, but the party would be broken up into several rooms. We had about 200 guests attend our wedding, and everyone could enjoy it in while in the same room. Which reminds me - the Austin Club just got gorgeous new gold chiavari chairs! We were actually the first wedding that got to use them! They looked amazing with our silver, gray, and yellow accents.\r\rFor the crafty brides (or brides with crafty mothers like me), the Austin Club is very accommodating of the personal touches you want to add to your reception. We dropped off our stuff the day before and then set up the morning of the wedding. \r\rIn all, the Austin Club is the perfect venue for the bride that wants a classic and timeless wedding. I wanted my wedding venue to be beautiful on its own, without the need of added decorations. There is not a more beautiful ballroom in Austin. Also, its downtown location is fun for guests after the bride and groom have left. Austin Club really knows how to take care of their guests with top notch service. Not only is this a gorgeous tucked away nugget in downtown Austin, but the space is absolutely stunning, the building has history dating back to the 1800s and the staff is phenomenal! Lillian really knows how to take care of each of her brides and I would recommend this wonderful place to anyone!

I had my reception at The Austin Club and there is not one thing that I would change about my reception. I can't say enough good things about The Austin Club. It was absolutely beautiful and the staff were more than accommodating. Lillian was amazing. She was always there to answer questions and did everything in her power to make our reception exactly want we wanted. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone. The Austin Club is gorgeous and I recommend going and seeing the ballroom all set up for a wedding because it will make you want to have your reception there!

Lillian at the Austin Club was amazing! She made my day come together and she added special touches to make the already gorgeous ballroom even more stunning! The staff was courteous and so attentive! Everything from the food to drink to service was absolutely perfect! I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants to have a classy, elegant reception! You won't be disappointed!

I cannot say enough good things about the Austin Club! Lillian, the wedding coordinator at the club was amazing! She is so sweet and made planning our reception so easy and stress free. Every detail was covered by the amazing staff and it helped to make our wedding perfect! As waiters greeted our guests with drinks upon arrival, my husband and I dined on our menu selections and sipped champagne in a private room. Our change of clothes were perfectly laid out when it came time to leave and we were presented with a goody bag including cake and a bottle of champagne! The club even provided bubbles for our guests to blow as we departed! The ball room was absolutely beautiful and the staff was extremely friendly to us and all of our guests. The food was also amazing! We got so many compliments on how good everything tasted and how much everyone enjoyed themselves. If you want the wedding of your dreams, go with the Austin Club!

I chose the Austin Club for the location, beauty and service. I was an out of town bride and working with Lillian Beckwith was so easy and made sure I had everything I wanted to make my wedding day special. We loved the food, the service by everyone at the club and the amazing ball room. My husband and I had a wonderful well organized, gorgeous, fun wedding. Without Lillian and the other staff this would not have been so easy and possible. After our wedding we got so many comments from our guests on how great everything was. I would recommend this location to any bride!

The Austin Club is a hidden gem! The Medallion Ballroom was the perfect size for us and the chandeliers are stunning. All of our guests raved about the food and the beautiful oak bar. We were treated very well by the wait staff during our private dinner before entering the reception. We were very happy with this venue!

From Lillian's personal attention, to the staff that had every detail taken care of, I can not say more about how wonderful the Austin Club is. The food is so unbelievable, that a month after the wedding, I'm still getting compliments on the menu. Everything was absolutely perfect!

The Austin Club proved to be the PERFECT winter wedding site in downtown Austin. It seems a bit pricey, but in the end, was worth every penny. It's nearly a one-stop-shop; I didn't have to rent linens, tables, or chairs, or bring in extra lighting. Because my wedding was in December, the Club was decorated tastefully for Christmas. It was less decorating for me, and looked lovely. The waitstaff was also included in our package and very professional. The food was FANTASTIC. No mediocre wedding food found here, folks; only the best. Guests continue to rave about how delicious everything was! If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

From the Mahogany bar to the chandeliers this place is so beautiful! I recently had my reception there and they really know how to make your event special. First of all when you come in they whisk you away to a private room where you get some alone time to soak up the fact that you are married… then they allow you to sample all of your menu choices that your guests are enjoying…a little champagne or drink of your choice then it’s off to the reception to be introduced! Lillian the coordinator for the Austin Club works her magic in the place. She is sweet and a pure delight to interact with. On top of that the coordination with the vendors was flawless and the outcome was an elegant evening. Many of my friends and family have told me that it was truly one of the most elegant weddings they had ever attended! If you are a princess or a queen you have to have your reception at the Austin Club! Oh, and the food and staff are great too!

I loved the ambiance of The Austin Club. Huge chandeliers elegant dining room and a mahogany bar - it was the perfect setting for our reception. The Director of Catering Lillian Beckwith was phenomenal and a joy to work with.
