AOA is a beautiful place to host a wedding reception. The venue itself is amazing. So many different areas to take wonderful photos from the main lobby, to the ballroom, to the lake, to their garden area. The ballroom also has a balcony overlooking the lake and adds such a good scenic spot to enjoy while enjoying drinks with loved ones. Monica was kind and helpful throughout the planning process and corresponded via email countless times and also met with us in person a number of times to ensure we had all our questions answered. She was pleasant to work with and responsive. She even did small things like get us boba drinks because we love them so much. There was a sudden weather change during our wedding day and she helped us manage the crisis well when having to relocate our cocktail hour from outdoors to indoors. The staff swiftly moved our decor and vendors indoors before the guests arrived and our guests still had an amazing time not even aware of the last minute location change. AOA's quick action and professionalism really helped made our wedding day everything we imagined and more. Reviewed on 06-09-2023

It was also very convenient for our out of town guests, who stayed at the hotel for the weekend (everyone had wonderful things to say about their stay). From the first time we toured the venue to the last second of our reception, we felt like VIPs. Cassie was energetic, sweet, and knowledgeable during our tour so we booked it! After that we were in the amazing hands of Monica. She answered all of our questions quickly, provided suggestions when asked, and was determined to make sure the vision of our reception came true. We purchased one of the wedding packages where the cake was included (all amazing options, but we ultimately went with Susie Cakes) as well as a wedding month of coordinator (we went with Erikaâs Elegance, probably the best decision EVER). I have so many great things to say about both Susie Cakes and Erikaâs Elegance that I will be writing them a review too to share everything. The food was absolutely amazing and we still get guests from our wedding saying how they had the most fun at our wedding and the food was phenomenal, best food theyâve ever had at a wedding. The food on the day of our wedding was delicious. We received so many compliments from our guests. The venue also provides you with three cake vendors to choose from as part of our contract. We chose SusieCakes and also received high praises from our guests on the cake. Sara and team arranged the cake delivery from SusieCakes, which went very smoothly! The ceremony site and reception were decorated perfectly, all our color and style choices were exactly what we requested. The Avenue of the Arts waiters and bartenders were extremely nice, always offering us drinks and routinely checked in to see if we needed anything. We had a number of guests who traveled from out of town for our wedding. Our guests loved the hotel rooms, especially the fancy wooden floors. We also loved our honeymoon suite! We had some guests extend their stay and enjoy photos outside by the lake and by the pool as itâs the perfect backdrop for photos. We also had our brunch at the Symphony Room inside Avenue of the Arts the next day. The food was extremely delicious, and all of our style/flower requests were also followed. The staff was also polite and accommodating. We would definitely recommend Avenue of the Arts to anyone getting married! Reviewed on 12-06-2019

I had a particular vision that required what I worried would be an unreasonable level of attention to detail. Avenue of the Arts exceeded my expectations every step of the way and pulled off a flawless experience for me and my guests. This venue is perfect if you are looking for an all-inclusive, beautiful venue that can accommodate your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one convenient location. I chose to host my ceremony indoors rather than outside by the lake, and Avenue of the Arts was more than willing to accommodate this request. The hotel is beautiful both inside and out.. so many places for photos. Our ceremony was supposed to be outdoor by their lake. However, our wedding day, it poured! Luckily they had a back up plan, and was able to move us to a room inside the hotel. Their Symphony room was beautiful and looks great on photos! After the ceremony, there were a lot of places indoor that we could do photos with our bridal party and family. I was so glad because that was my biggest concern since we could not go outside. Avenue of the Arts has an amazing and caring team. Sara Cargill was our coordinator and she is fantastic at her job. Eunje Kim(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-12-2018 I don't really like to write reviews, but I just had to for Avenue of the Arts in Costa Mesa. First of all, big applause to Sara for making my wedding happen in less than 3 months. Everyone thought I was crazy about having a wedding right after I got engaged, but all I wanted was a winter themed wedding. Sara was the only one that believed in me and assured me that she can make this happen. She went above and beyond and made sure every little detail was checked off the list. She worked with my vision and tried to accommodate me as much as possible from start to finish. On the day of the wedding, everything was a blur (waking up early, getting ready, making sure all bridal parties are ready to go, pictures with photographers, etc. trust me, it's just goes by so quick!). As I walked into the ceremony, everything was just so beautiful. I wanted a winter, but cozy ceremony. There were heat lamps for the guests all around and blankets for them. Decorations were on point and I have provided sparklers for everyone, which everyone sparked up as my husband and I finally said our \"I do's\" and walked out. It was just magical. Food was amazing from cocktail hour as well as the dinner meal. I had people raging about the food! Usually, food at weddings tend to be on the mediocre side, but not at Avenue of the Arts. It was so delicious! Reception was beautiful and more than I have dreamed of from the flower vases, the plating, chairs, and draping. I had so much fun, maybe a little too much fun. The hotel staffs were continuously checking up on me and made sure all my needs were fulfilled. Trust me, you will love working with this venue! Mandy Ding(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-11-2017 Let me start off by saying that it took me far too long to write a review for all wedding related items. Our process with AotA started with me spotting the venue on The Knot & then thinking we probably wouldn't be able to have it there. In my need to see EVERY option for the wedding, I booked us an appointment. We were originally helped out by Dy (no longer at AotA) in January/February 2017. She met us, gave us a wonderful run down and tour of the area, and said she can work with us best she can. We were already blown away by how perfect the venue was for the size of our wedding, the convenience of this location, and everything there was to offer for a wedding ceremony and reception AND a hotel for the guests to stay, all in one easily accessible location! In April, I was called one day by Sara (Cargill), who was friendly and cheerful to let us know that Dy was no longer with AotA (oh no!!!) and that she would be taking care of us. Originally, I started to fret, but after meeting Sara and talking to her multiple times, my then fiance and I were very confident and happy that things would go smoothly (and they did).Sara worked with us with all our emails, questions, phone calls, and meetings to get us settled in with our tasting, the BEO, and the overall run down! She is patient when you change your mind, but also very easy to work with. Her friendly demeanor made this stressful and fun time of our life wonderful. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Sara! The venue was also a great location. It is close to South Coast Plaza and John Wayne Airport. There are shuttles available to and from the airport, which was a highlighting point for us to select the location. Most of our guests, probably 85% or more and including our immediate family (parents and siblings) were traveling from northern California or outside of the state. The sheer convenience factor on our guests made this location a prime candidate in us choosing to get married here. The only downside was the construction behind the wedding site, which was scheduled to be completed last year, as we were originally told, but was not completed until this year. It is beautiful now and we could barely see it in any photos and fortunately it did not detract from the beauty of our wedding ceremony location. The cocktail and reception were also wonderful. We had Edgar and Jorgue taking care of us (bride & groom) to make sure everything went smoothly after Sara handed us off to them. A HUGE shout out to the both of them for ensuring that we were taken care of on the very stressful, but happy day. The catering team was on point! The rest of the staff was wonderfully accommodating even after the wedding. Apparently our guests had the hotel reopen the kitchen for a really late meal of eggs & tomatoes fairly late into the night. One of the funniest stories I heard about our wedding night! Thank you for doing this AotA!Lastly, we have guests to this day, almost 1 year later, telling us that our wedding was the best one they've been to, and they have been to a lot, especially my husband's side of the family. Lots of weddings and large weddings, so it was definitely a huge compliment hearing that ours was at the top of their favorites! You will not regret having your wedding here! I would do it again here or plan another party here in a future date (thinking about it for my 30th birthday!). I am in love with AotA!Thank you again Avenue of the Arts for the PERFECT wedding. :) Reviewed on 25-09-2018

Sara, our coordinator was very helpful and excellent at communicating with us! She listened to all of our requests and made it happen. The banquets staff were beyond exceptional! Chris and Rogelio took care of our every need, leading up to and the day of our wedding. Their staff did an amazing job setting up, serving us and our guests, and never leaving anyone asking for more. We keep saying we want to do it all over again because we loved it so much. We had our wedding in October of 2017 at this venue. The venue itself is gorgeous and has some very pretty photo opportunities. We had our ceremony outside by the lake and it was a beautiful romantic setting. At the time of the wedding my only complaints were walking out to the ceremony area through damp grass and dirt making it hard to get out to the walkway and it made everyoneâs shoes dirty. The other thing was I had a little over 100 guests and there wasnât enough seating and the seating was also pretty cramped. Hopefully theyâve resolved these issues Since then. My other gripe was with the wedding planner, I wonât name her because Iâm not in the business of ruining anyoneâs career. Maybe she had a bad day or her staff cut out on her last minute but I was upset and disappointed in what I was promised versus what I got from her. She was asking me about things she should have been handling DAYS before the wedding, we had no one with us in the suite before the wedding, barely had any contact with us on the day of and was trying to send my photographer downstairs to fetch people for pictures and also didnât instruct her staff to do the sign in book correctly. She also threw away our wedding cake and then told me she thought I told her to do that...unbelievable. For the most part she laid out everything that I asked for in the reception area so Iâll give her that but it didnât help that her attitude sucked when I complained about only SOME of those things. The women that you will work with at the venue are wonderful and also very professional and tried to resolve anything I spoke to them about. The venue aside from those couple of ceremony things, was elegant, clean and the staff was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely get married at avenue of the arts again if I had a choice...Iâd just choose another one of their wedding planner vendors. Reviewed on 10-09-2018

We just had our ceremony and reception here on 7/7 and I could not have asked for a better venue! The hotel is very stylish and almost everything is purple which I absolutely love since it is my favorite color! Weddings here are a bit pricey, but honestly you get what you pay for. They have two separate ceremony sites you can choose from and both are absolutely beautiful. One is a little nested garden area for a more intimate feel and the other is out by the lake. I had my ceremony by the lake and the building next door was doing construction leading up to my wedding, but Sara was very very good at keeping me informed on changes in the construction time line and everything. They have a very fancy menu to choose from. A lot of my guests told us they would expect our dinner at a 5 star restaurant not a wedding. Their package includes an hour of hosted bar for the cocktail hour and appetizers so your guests have a little treat while you do your post ceremony photos. It also includes wine service with dinner, coffee service after dinner and your wedding cake! The staff treats you like royalty the night of your wedding and Sara is oh so delightful to work with! Ruby DeGuzman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-04-2018 Once we picked a date we immediately started looking for venue locations. We kept in mind that 90% of our guests will be from they Bay Area or out-of-state. We wanted it to be convenient for everyone to stay at the hotel where the reception would be. The first couple of hotels we looked into were not able to accommodate the time frame that we needed. Avenue of the Arts was our last inquiry close to church where our ceremony was held at. Once we entered the hotel, we were so amazed how unique and classy it looked. We met Sara Cargill, the catering events catering manager, who greeted us with a bright smile. She was super friendly and sweet. She showed us the outside area by the lake where the cocktail hour would be & the grand ballroom which is located upstairs. The ballroom, I believe was recently remodeled and the layout of the room could fit about 300 people. I only had about 150 people so it was a good amount of space in between tables but it still looked full. It has big windows that allowed natural lighting to shine in the room so it doesnât look dark like most hotel venues. The chandeliers were so elegant and gave the room the perfect look. I didnât want to get our hopes up so I asked Sara if they could accommodate an earlier time. Her response was, âwe can start the reception whatever time works for youâ. My husband and I looked at each other and we didnât have to say anything. We knew that this was the one. After our meeting with Sara, we wanted to go home and talk to my mom about it. I showed her all the details, pictures and wedding packages and my mom said, â go for it!â We booker Avenue of the arts a week after our visit and have no regrets! All of our family and friends who needed a place to stay booked a room at the hotel and they made sure majority of them were on the same floor as my bridal suite so it would be convenient for everyone. Sara and her team were on top of it that day. I just remember seeing Sara coordinating with all the vendors and making sure everything ran smoothly! She even brought us champagne and hors dâoeuvres during our photo-op during cocktail hours. (Thank you for feeding or hungry bellies!) all of our guests gave us positive feedback saying how amazing the food was and how the buffet was set up and the buffet, the open bar that lasted all night and the service & the dessert table! The dessert table was a big hit because we included a donut wall and I wish I added more donuts since I just ordered about 6 dozen with a few dozen of mini dessert cups. I personally thought that no one would care for it but I was clearly wrong. The donut wall was attacked and cleared out within 10 mini. We were pretty bummed we didnât get to try it since we heard the donuts were amazing! It was fresh and fluffy, not too sweet & pretty cute to eat! That day was perfect from beginning to end and we wish we could do it all over again! Thank you Sara for being so patient with us during our planning and answering all our Questions/concerns promptly. You made the planning so easy for us since I didnât have a wedding coordinator. Vu Nguyen(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-07-2018 We had our wedding reception at the Avenue of the Arts in May and it was spectacular. Typically Vietnamese weddings are held at large Chinese/Vietnamese banquet areas or restaurants. We wanted to stay away from that and turn up the prestige a notch. The staff was attentive and very helpful through the months, weeks, and even days leading up to the event. The catering manager in particular was absolutely of top of everything. At one point I saw him personally reviewing the food and decor on the table to make sure it looked great. The ballroom was recently renovated and provided a beautiful blank canvas for our wedding team to add the flourish of flowers, decorations, and lighting. I have to admit we were initially apprehensive about setting our wedding reception at a hotel far away from the traditional Westminster/Bolsa area but it turned out to be wonderful. Fasi Shariff(wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-07-2018 Avenue of Arts is truly an amazing venue to host any event. My sister recently got married at the Avenue of Arts hotel and we were all pleasantly surprised at the professionalism, the attention to every detail and the courtesy that was extended to us during the days leading to the event and at the main event itself. We worked with Sara who was very helpful and stayed throughout our event, paying attention to every little detail ensuring that all our needs were met and that everything went smoothly. She was very professional, responsive and diligent and even went out of her way to welcome all the guests. Terri, the director of catering even helped with directing the cars and assisted guests coming in with their bags. Sara and Terri were just wonderful to work with; polite, kind, and professional , they really went the extra mile to make it a memorable evening for our family. The venue itself was beautiful, intimate and very accommodating and all our guests were impressed with the ambiance, decor, the table decor and place settings . The bridal suite was roomy, spotless and had a beautiful view as well. I would certainly, one hundred percent, recommend this venue to friends and family and cannot wait to have another event at this amazing venue. If you are looking to host a flawless, 5- star quality and successful event I would highly recommend you call Sara at the Avenue of Arts Hotel and I can assure you that you will be in excellent hands. Brittany our coordinator at the hotel was an absolute joy to work with. She helped with everything from the menu, decor, placement of items, ideas to decorate, the timeline of the wedding reception and even with helping me find a way to hang up my dress so it wouldn't get wrinkled! She was always quick to answer any questions or concerns I had and she always found a way to accommodate mine and my bridal party's needs. She made me (a very organized but stressed bride) feel very relaxed and comfortable. Nina (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-10-2015 After looking at over 100 wedding venues throughout Los Angeles and Orange County, we chose the Wyndham Avenue of the Arts in December 2014 for our wedding in October 2015. We were looking to have a traditional Indian/Hindu wedding with about 200 guests. This venue met all my criteria, including having an outdoor wedding ceremony site!\r\rWe had an amazing wedding with the Wyndham team and couldn't have been happier with how the day turned out! We initially worked with Lisa-Marie who helped us through all of our original questions and set up. We then worked with Terri and Brittany the months before the wedding on all of the final details. The staff was very friendly and the service was wonderful! \r\rGiven that Indian weddings have so many different pieces, the Wyndham did an amazing job at making sure all of the details were worked out ahead of time and were very knowledgable and receptive to all of the customs.\r\rOne of the best things about this venue is that they included a month of wedding planner as part of the package. We had Eric from Expressionary events as our coordinator and he was phenomenal! (Read my review on him too!)\r\rThe hotel is very beautiful so you can't go wrong! The theme of the hotel is purple and the decor is very chic and modern. We and all of our guests loved the lakeside ceremony area, which made for great pictures.\r\rBottom line: We are so happy we chose the Wyndham! We had around 180. The outside ceremony spot by the lake is beautiful and very private. The coctail hour also outside near the restaurant patio is perfect. The reception floor is also very private since it's designated only for the wedding. All of our guests thought the venue was beautiful and really enjoyed the wedding.
