Situated in Stanardsville, VA, Barn at Edgewood is a countryside wedding venue. Nestled amidst 170 acres of picturesque farmland including rolling fields, spectacular mountain views, woodland and lake views, a beautiful barn awaits you and your guests. The barn oozes rustic elegance and overlooks the lakefront, with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains adding to the serene and scenic atmosphere. Barn at Edgewood is home to stunning grounds, with plenty of choices when it comes to hosting your outdoor ceremony. Before and after you say “I do”, guests can gather on the 1,200-square-foot veranda, which offers vistas of the lake and mountains. The elegant barn is transformed for evening receptions, its white exterior providing a lovely backdrop for photo ops beforehand. Inside, you will find a 2,500-square-foot event space for all your dining and entertainment needs. This space is characterized by traditional wooden accents, a stone fireplace, and romantic string lights. There is space for approximately 150 loved ones depending on the type of reception you wish to host. Despite its traditional aesthetic, the barn comes equipped with modern comforts such as air control during both warm and cold months as well as complimentary WiFi. Restrooms are located inside the barn, along with two plush and private preparation suites upstairs for you and your wedding party. Hosting only one wedding each weekend, the dedicated team at Barn at Edgewood wishes to make your big day seamless and stress-free. They recommend a number of trusted vendors for all your catering, wedding planning, decor, and entertainment needs. The Barn at Edgewood is a five star venue. It is elegant yet rustic. Beautiful and functional. The suites upstairs are very comfortable and clean with all the amenities we needed. The catering kitchen space was spacious and accommodating. The view in October was picturesque. The pond and changing leaves set the perfect backdrop for the wedding. Scott and Julie are very professional and responsive. We couldn’t be happier about choosing their venue. Highly recommend.

We couldn't have asked for a better experience working with Julie and Scott. They went above and beyond for us, which ultimately led to a perfect wedding day. We reserved B&E far in advance and got to meet with Scott and Julie several times throughout the planning process. They were incredibly generous with their time and answered all of our questions. On the day of our wedding, their staff was immensely helpful in making sure everything ran smoothly and everything was in place in a timely manner. The space is perfect for a wedding anywhere between 100-150 people. We had around 125 people with a 7-piece band, and it worked out great! Their property is absolutely beautiful and we'd recommend this venue to anyone. Thank you Scott and Julie for all that you did for us!! -Tim & Steph

The Winslows at the Barn at Edgewood were such a kind and helpful couple to work with! They made every effort to make our wedding the best day ever! We were lucky enough to have our wedding at the Barn at Edgewood on April 22. The trees and grass and sky were stunning. Inside the Barn, our reception was a dance party and, outside the Barn, other guests were enjoying the tranquil setting and fire pit. We found ourselves happily floating between the two different vibes all night. What's more, our gracious hosts were so accommodating. We thought we would have to go with the rain plan of having the ceremony inside the Barn, but when the pouring rain magically let up for us, without a whole lot of time to spare, they pivoted for us and moved the set-up outdoors. We had First Look under the beautiful oak tree on the hill, and then the ceremony by the pond just outside the Barn. My husband and I stayed in the apartments above the Barn for three nights (Thurs-Sunday). We just loved staying in such a tranquil setting leading up to our wedding and loved \"hosting\" our guests on Saturday for the wedding. We wanted a somewhat intimate event - our reception totaled 104 guests - and it was an easy fit at the Barn (with some room to spare for a couple more eight-tops). If you want a tranquil and beautiful setting, and flexible hosts, look no further!

We had our ceremony up on the hill with the mountains as our backdrop and had the reception of about 120 people very comfortably down at the barn. In addition to how beautiful the venue is, Julie, Scott, and Ethan were just an absolute pleasure to work with. They are incredibly nice and very knowledgeable about various vendors and were more than helpful in helping us navigate the many different components of wedding planning. They only host one wedding per weekend, so they are dedicated to help make your wedding the best it can be! You are also able to rent the rooms upstairs a few days before the wedding if you wish, which was very convenient. Because of the breath-taking views and immense hospitality of Julie and Scott, I highly, highly recommend renting the Barn at Edgewood as your wedding venue!

We loved our experience at The Barn at Edgewood. Scott and Julie are great to work with! They were open to our ideas of how we wanted the day to look and are great communicators. I highly recommend staying overnight with your bridesmaids the night before. It's so wonderful to wake up and not have to drive anywhere. You can stay right there on the property in the bridal suites that are also Airbnb rentals. Would recommend to any bride looking for mountain barn theme that looks more like a cottage than the usual barn.We LOVED it! :)

We had a wonderful experience with Julie and Scott! They were always quick to answer an email, provide assistance, and even let us set up for our Sat. reception the day before! We love that we were the only wedding booked for the weekend so that friends and family could stay in their lofts and we knew our decorations would be safe overnight! The barn itself is beautiful and the view for the ceremony sites is amazing! You can tell they care about the couples that choose to get married at their venue!

The Barn at Edgewood was the perfect venue for my daughters October 15th wedding. Not only was the weather just perfect, but the perfection of the venue, the colorful Fall setting, and the on-site hospitality from Scott and Julie made our experience a 10+. Scott went out of his way to add the extra details to make our vision come to life. Our continued love of this venue was the guests loved that they had the option to mingle on the veranda, inside and outside and with the weather being in our favor, the evening was perfect with the barn doors open on both sides, which gave it more of an airy feeling. The apartments above the venue were so convenient and just brought the whole wedding weekend together.

If you have your wedding here, you will not regret it! Not only is this a gorgeous venue (regardless of the weather), but Scott and Julie are some of the best people you could possibly work with. We originally toured the venue because the outdoor scenery caught our eye, but when we arrived it was a drizzly day. No joke, the property was still so beautiful and after five minutes chatting with Scott & Julie, we knew we’d be taken care of there. My husband and I (along with our wedding party) stayed at the two suites above the barn and I cannot imagine a more perfect day. I was able to bring all of the DIY supplies to the venue the day before the wedding and literally wake up the next day, go out onto the deck, and look out at the beautiful setting. It was that peaceful moment before the chaos of a big event that set my heart at ease. I’m so blown away by their hospitality and detail-orientedness. They had back-up plans all in place and were incredibly responsive to any of my questions or concerns. Barn at Edgewood was our first wedding decision and probably our best. You can’t really go wrong when you work with kind and hardworking people! My husband and I were quite sad to leave the property the next day, vowing to come back and visit, even if it was just to say hi to Scott & Julie!

You get mountain views, pond views, and a beautiful property to enjoy. Julie and Scott, the owners, are amazing! They are very responsive and accommodating, and are there to help with any questions you have about the venue and your wedding day planning. There are 2 amazing suites above the venue as well. My husband and I stayed at one of them from Thursday- Monday and we got ready in each of them the day of the wedding. The suites have everything you need and were super nice with amazing views! I 100% recommend to have your wedding here!

Scott and Julie are wonderful to work with, not only during the planning stages of the wedding, but also during the event. I cannot say enough good things about Barn at Edgewood. It was actually the first venue my husband and I looked at and I instantly fell in love. I remember telling my husband how it felt magical there, but I thought there was no way we'd pick the first place we'd seen. Each venue we looked at after just couldn't compare. The views are incredible and the property is so well maintained, but what struck me most is how warm and welcoming Scott and Julie were. Their excitement to be a part of your day is so special and we appreciate them so much. Our wedding day turned out cool and rainy - not the weather we were expecting - and they did everything they could to ensure that we still had the most beautiful and wonderful day.

I honestly don't know where to begin. Our experience with Barn at Edgewood was incredible. From the moment we toured the property, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. We pretty quickly booked them for our date. Over the next year, Julie quickly communicated with us, especially as things changed in regard to COVID. She was always just an email or phone call away. Closer to our wedding day, she, Scott, and McKenna met with us to finalize some of the details for the big day. They were all so friendly, flexible, and accommodating. On our wedding day, they were available for whatever we needed, set up our ceremony site, and even stayed to help breakdown. The apartments above the barn were a wonderful addition to their gorgeous venue, as they gave the entire bridal party the convenience of getting ready on site and with plenty of space. The property itself is absolutely stunning, with multiple sites available for a ceremony (and the barn is suitable for a ceremony too, if you'd prefer to be indoors or if weather is bad). Scott and Julie are a picture of hospitality and treat you like family. We had an amazing experience and would recommend Barn at Edgewood to any couple looking for the perfect venue for their wedding.

The Barn at Edgewood is perfect. Scott, Julie, and Alec were the ABSOLUTE BEST managers for helping to maintain the integrity of a wedding while still maintaining social distance for COVID-19. Scott even cut a branch off of the tree the night before the wedding to make sure that it was exactly how we wanted! There were so many changes to our wedding plans, moving the date, moving the time, changing the ceremony site to be also as the Barn, and none of it phased Scott or Julie at all! They truly are the best in the business. The suites upstairs are breath-taking and the perfect place to get ready before the ceremony. I was touched by how much effort they put into making my vision come true for my wedding.

The Barn at Edgewood is perfect. Scott, Julie, and Alec were the ABSOLUTE BEST managers for helping to maintain the integrity of a wedding while still maintaining social distance for COVID-19. The Barn at Edgewood is such a beautiful venue with a picturesque pond and the most spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Julie and Scott were so wonderful to work with, especially when we decided to postpone our big reception until next year and to just have a small, simple wedding at the Barn with our immediate families on our original date. Their flexibility and kindness was above and beyond!

The Barn at Edgewood is such a beautiful venue with a picturesque pond and the most spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Julie and Scott were so wonderful to work with, especially when we decided to postpone our big reception until next year and to just have a small, simple wedding at the Barn with our immediate families on our original date. Their flexibility and kindness was above and beyond!

Scott and Julie Winslow at the Barn at Edgewood are the picture of hospitality, warmth, and professionalism. From the very start they were accommodating, quick to respond, and unendingly kind as we planned our big day. Even when our wedding underwent some major unforeseen changes due to COVID-19, the Winslows personally saw to it that we still had our absolute dream day on their breathtaking property amidst the state’s guidelines. The backdrop of the mountains under the oak tree will forever be a treasure in my & my husband’s love story. Our wedding day and planning process was unendingly enhanced by Julie + Scott, we recommend the Barn at Edgewood over and over!

Seriously, I wish I could give the barn a million stars. My fiancé and I looked at several other venues before landing on The Barn. There were SO many benefits, including the views, the indoor space, the outdoor space, the bridal/groom suites and the amazing owners. The Barn is located on a beautiful plot of land with mountain views, beautiful woods, and a pond, and a dreamy garden... SO MANY OPTIONS for pictures and ceremony spaces. A huge factor in deciding our venue was the bridal/groom suites. After all, half of your day is spent there getting ready. The suites were an absolute dream. My bridesmaids and I actually spent the night at the barn before the wedding so we could just wake up, shower, and our hair and makeup girls arrived shortly after which made everything stress free. The true seller was Scott and Julie. Scott and Julie made planning our wedding and the day of completely perfect. They had everything figured out and were very flexible with us when we had ideas/visions. They were extremely responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and happy. I later found out that Scott had assisted a family member with a disability down to our ceremony site, something I hadn't even considered when planning, without hesitation. They were in constant communication with us, even answering silly questions for me at all hours of the day and night. We would not have changed a single thing about our day and are hoping to stay at the barn for an anniversary coming up to relive everything. You may consider renting portable bathrooms if you're guest count is on the higher end. We did not and this was not an issue during the majority of the night for us, but certainly during busy times like right before and after dinner there was a bit of a line.

I cannot rate this venue high enough. Scott and Julie are incredible people who you can tell get genuinely excited about every wedding they host there. They have made our experience so smooth and easy with how accommodating they are. The Barn is so beautiful, clean and elegant. The apartment spaces above that are provided for the bridal parties to get ready in are so spacious, and the grounds around the barn are extremely well kept. To top it off, the mountain view’s are STUNNING! I want to renew my vows here every year I loved it so much!

I cannot rate this venue high enough. Scott and Julie are incredible people who you can tell get genuinely excited about every wedding they host there. We had the most amazing wedding at The Barn at Edgewood. We had just our ceremony there and due to the heat we had it inside the barn with the doors up! It was literally perfect. The views of the mountains was gorgeous. Everyone we worked with was so accommodating and worked to make our dream wedding a reality! We had the most amazing wedding at The Barn at Edgewood. We had just our ceremony there and due to the heat we had it inside the barn with the doors up! It was literally perfect. Our wedding at the Barn at Edgewood was absolutely perfect. The venue was beautiful, we were given several different options on how we could set up our ceremony and reception, and the managers were extremely helpful in making sure our wedding day went exactly as planned. We loved being surrounded by beautiful mountains, water, and woods the entire evening. If we could do it all again, we would 100% choose to get married at the Barn at Edgewood.

We used the Barn at Edgewood for our June 1, 2019 wedding. From the moment we met the team we fell in love with this family run venue. They were so accommodating to my vision and were so helpful throughout. It’s also one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been. I would recommend Barn at Edgewood for any bride looking for a beautiful location that you can make your own! ❤️

This venue is everything I dreamed it'd be when we toured it, the mountain views are stunning, and the owners could not be nicer. They built this barn and turned it into a wedding & events space when their daughter wanted to get married here so you know it's a quality venue. It's perfect for an indoor/outdoor reception venue that gives guests the freedom to meander onto the veranda out back or enjoy the cooler/warmer (depending on the season) indoors of the barn. It's more upscale though than most \"barn weddings\" I've seen, with hard flooring, no grass or hay, and doors that raise up on either side to give you panoramic green, grassy views as you dine. The only downside is there isn't a great rain plan alternative on location if you can't hold the ceremony outdoors, but we did notice a church just down the road which could make for a solid wedding plan. Sadly, we were not able to select this location for our wedding because the Charlottesville area was a bit too far for us out-of-towners, but I cannot speak more highly of the owners, their professionalism and attention to detail (right down to the quality of paper they sent us home with... details matter!) and their beautiful venue space.

I am so glad that we decided to have our wedding on Edgewood Farm. Not only are there views that take your breath away, the interior of the main barn is so elegant that the idea of an indoor rain plan was almost exciting! Fortunately we had stunning weather for our October wedding, which turned out to be better for everyone involved.\r\rEveryone at Edgewood was incredibly thoughtful and helped make our day memorable and enjoyable!
