So, SO happy that we booked our wedding at the Baroness. Nick & Kenneth went above and beyond to ensure the day was flawlessly executed, and they were among the kindest people we had the pleasure of collaborating with leading up to and on the day of our event. We've been getting non-stop compliments about how lovely the ceremony and reception were: from the food to the beautiful courtyard where we danced for hours. The location is ideal, the staff is attentive and kind, and the space itself is picture-perfect NOLA. My only regret is that it didn't last longer! Reviewed on 27-05-2023
Christopher Tatoris(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-10-2022 Upon our search for a wedding venue, we found the Baroness. Turned out to be what we were looking for. After meeting Nick and Kenneth, we decided to seal the deal and move forward. Kenneth was very helpful and in my opinion, should have been in charge of the entire event. He understood how important a wedding can be. The Design, food/drink, music and dancing. Now, Nick was in charge of the special day. We rarely spoke with him directly but everything was passed on to him on what we wanted. When we first met them, we had discussed the layout of the event. We were going to get a dj but decided against it because of the price for only 3 hours or reception time. We were told specifically by Nick, that we can play music directy from our phone for the reception. We would be able to play music in the courtyard as well as inside. So those that wanted to \"get down\" could boogie outside and those of the \"mingle-n-chill sort, could stay inside for easy listening. We had prepared playlists for the entire evening. This included arrival music, the union, isle music, first dance and the boggie/chill music. The day of; we arrive and found out a slew of things that could not be achieved and that could have been avoided. No flower pedals tossed at the ceremony. No biggie, we got bubble guns for back up. The speaker in the courtyard were broken!? Not working!?So as my bride walked down our isle, the songs we had for this lovely moment could not be played. So festivities begin...or not? Apparantly we needed to download some app in order for the music to play. Did so but not working. Nick couldnt remember the password for ANYTHING! This is his place! Godayum! What is starting to happen? He seemed preoccupied with I dont know what(probably hiding because of the shit happenings). We had to do our first dance with Nick holding his phone for the music to play. I am beginning to feel my BP rise! Long story short, I spent most of the evening trying to get music to play from different bt speakers guests brought for the trip.(including one of the bartenders) So I hide our misfortune with positivity, trying to make the best of the night. Not making a scene, or wasting time complaining about the situation. There were quite a few other details that seemed to be brushed over as well. I felt like Nick did what he wanted and gave us a \"oh well, take it or leave it vibe.\" Good thing our second line stole the show! When having friends and fam. come in from out of state, you want to try and make the best of they're visit as well. All of this could have been avoided if we were told of broken sound system, our show lights were missing parts, didnt know how to set the cake stand etc. I would have gladly came up with solutions the day before. Nope! It was all thrown in at one time. Made us feel like we paid him for showing up, fucking up and having an \"oh well, what ya gonna do attitude\". Anyway, I dont complain about much. I almost never write reviews unless its a positive one.I probably wouldn't have wrote this letter if we would have recieved an appology! I guess I can be thankful for him sending back our decorations that we purchased for our big day and didnt get to use. I would not recommend the Baroness. EVER!].....unless Kenneth was in charge of the ENTIRE operation. Reviewed on 01-01-2023
