Affordable Outdoor Wedding Weekends
Bear Creek Retreat is a wedding venue located ten minutes from downtown Austin in Manchaca, TX, nestled on ten acres of lush landscaping in the Hill Country. Weddings at Bear Creek Retreat include the facilities for three days and two nights. This will allow you to prepare for your wedding and host your family and friends for a celebratory weekend. A deposit and signed contract are required to book a date. Outdoor Wedding includes rental of main house and grounds for three days, two nights. Cottage rental (two-night minimum) is separate and can be discussed when booking. You can check our calendar for available dates.

Perfect location for our DYI wedding! The main house is as comfy as home and is so big! The grounds are just beautiful and the owner and manager are lovely people and so easy to communicate with! 5 stars, without question!

If you are looking for a venue with the most Amazing owner, then look no further! Caroline and her assistant Alison are beyond Great and anytime I had a question I could go directly to Caroline herself and would receive an immediate response. Every guest complimented my Husband and I on how beautiful of a venue and location we picked. We rented the cottage and the main house for all 2 nights and 3 days and for the price, it’s unbeatable! After the wedding my husband and I stayed in the cottage and since I had family from out of state there was no need to rent hotels. Rooms are spacious, and beds are very comfortable. Thank you so much Caroline you made this DIY wedding and process very easy for me.

I am so grateful we found Bear Creek Retreat! The property is stunning a true TX hill country gem! We rented the house and cottage for our wedding weekend as we had a lot of DIY elements to our day and did not want to be rushed and we stayed the night and following day on site. The cottage was perfect for the grooms quarters wedding day and my husband and I stayed there after the wedding while our bridal party slept in the main house. Carolyn the owner is so kind and easy to work with as well! We got to create our dream wedding on the property and on our budget! It was perfect in every way.

My easy going personality allows you to have full control and creative freedom for the wedding of your dreams. My three decades of designing landscapes in Austin is artfully illustrated throughout the grounds at this lovely outdoor wedding venue.
