Absolutely beautiful and staff was wonderful to work with. The venue is so naturally beautiful that we hardly needed decorations. Knew when we did our initial walk through and could visualize everything that it was going to be our perfect venue! Reviewed on 28-09-2023

David Reams(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-09-2017 We both loved this venue. We used it as our ceremony site and the reception. The setting was lovely and we didn't hardly need to decorate at all. The venue was able to accommodate all of our requests as well. They have a great staff that will help you plan your wedding from every step. Our tables were arranged exactly how we wanted them, and we had a flawless wedding. The price is very reasonable, and since it is a city park, there are no restrictions on vendors, which is great. We were able to bring whoever we wanted for our catering and what not. Jessica G(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-09-2017 Benham's Grove was perfect for our small, Thursday evening wedding this past September! As mentioned in other reviews, minimal decorating was needed due to all the natural flowers and scenery already there. We chose to only rent the Gerber House due to our small guest list (about 65 people). We had plenty of space. The gazebo was a great ceremony backdrop. Randall was amazing, too! He always answered my questions in a timely manner and made planning rather stress-free. Would definitely recommend! Reviewed on 06-10-2017
Amy Cook(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-09-2017 We are so happy that we chose Benhams grove as our venue to get married and also host our reception. The property is so beautiful already, you don't need to decorate much at all. There's also so many little nooks and crannies of the property for awesome photos but also to spread out the reception. The only complaint was the cost of the whole property was X amount, but you had to pay that same amount, so double, to get the large tent that is up all year anyways. It seemed confusing to rent \" whole property\" but not automatically get to use the rent which was on the property. We chose not to use it and it still worked out perfect. Reviewed on 19-09-2017

Michelle Clashman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-09-2016 We just used this venue for our wedding last weekend, September 24th, and it was absolutely beautiful. We had compliments all day long from our guests on how beautiful the place was, and even had a few who inquired about renting it as well! I will say that the bugs are AWFUL. Unfortunately, my guests, as well as my husband and I are absolutely covered in mosquito bites afterwards, and there were even some photos where I had visible bites in my arms or back. I do recommended trying to find something to help with the mosquitos on the grounds [they only spray the buikdibgs]. The staff were very attentive to us and overall incredible. Randy made me feel completely at ease prior to the day when we were going over set up, and Kim, who assisted us the day of, checked in us consistently throughout the day and did a great job of maintaining the house, restrooms, etc. We did end up having to get another hour [which was a gift from our bridal party] because the six hours was simply not long enough for the day, nor long enough for us to clean up as well. Looking back, I am completely happy about choosing Benham's for our Wedding, and would do it all over again. Reviewed on 04-10-2016

Kim Member(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-09-2015 I just got married on September 12th at Benham's Grove. This place is owned by the city so there are a few stipulations but nothing outrageous you have to deal with. Randy, the main guy is good to work with but he sometimes tries to push what he thinks on you. Stay firm. He said it would be dumb to put my cake outside. I wanted my cake outside and it was perfectly fine. He is not there the day of, I had a different girl who did absolutely nothing. I was told she would grab trash once it's full, keep bathrooms stocked, things like that. Nothing. My aunt had to do all of that. We did get our deposit back which was a plus. There were also some flower pots at the gazebo where our ceremony that I asked to be moved the day before and they were not so my cousin had to move all of them. Not huge deals but we were told it would be done so that makes it frustrating. Using the inside is cheaper but we had 200 guests so we had to rent the tent for extra. A slight rip off but still cheaper than a lot of venues. You only get the place for 6 hours unless you pay $300 for another hour. I was not able to get ready in the bridal suite (didn't get in until 5 my ceremony was at 5:30) so I got ready at a nearby hotel. The place itself is cozy and so unique. Ample places for pictures. Great bridal and groom suites that we got to hang out in for about a half hour. 3 bathrooms available which was good. You are open to use any vendor which is was what we were looking for. Enough parking, easy to get to, beautiful place. Overall I would recommend this place but there were a few hiccups that could have made the experience perfect. Reviewed on 26-09-2015
Katie Sullivan(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-07-2014 The location is beautiful and perfect for pictures. The only downfall is that you are only given 6 hours inside (this includes setup and cleanup)and 2 hours outside of the house and barn. Each additional hour costs $300. Also, If you have too many people or it rains, you have to pay extra to use the tent that permanently sits on the property. Both drawbacks aside, I loved the location. It is a stunning location and very cozy. I wouldn't have picked anywhere else to have my wedding and reception! Reviewed on 29-07-2014

Julie Wittman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-09-2011 Our wedding was held at Benham’s Grove in Centerville. It’s a beautiful 1900 century farm house that’s used as a gathering place and very popular for weddings. We started looking in October the year before our wedding and by that time, every Saturday was already booked for the following year, so we selected a Friday evening. \rBenham’s has a lovely gazebo and we had our hearts set on an outdoor fall ceremony. Unfortunately, Mother Nature did not cooperate and the wind, cold, and rain, pushed us inside. Luckily we had a backup plan with a tent rental. Rental of the house at Benham’s includes the Gazebo and while the house does have a decent sized covered patio for a smaller group, we were very lucky to have rented the tent on top of that. It was perfect to accommodate our 90 guests, the DJ, buffet, cake, and bar all in one place. I feel that if you have more than 70 people at Benham’s, you need the tent. They have a brick plaza for the tent to be placed on and brick walkways to the tent from both the gazebo and the house. The plaza will accommodate a 40x80 tent. \rThe staff at Benham’s that we dealt with were all wonderful – Margo, Sally, and our day of coordinator – Randy. I felt really bad for Randy because of the weather and last minute changes leading up to the ceremony. Originally the wedding was going to be outside at the gazebo. Because of the changing weather we moved it to the tent, back outside, and back to the tent. No one told Randy that it was going back in the tent, so he was still outside cleaning off chairs – bless his heart. I felt really bad about that. \rOverall, Benham’s did a great job accommodating our wedding and reception and I highly recommend them as long as you have a backup plan for bigger groups – rent the tent.
