Best Place at Pabst is a historic wedding venue located in downtown Milwaukee, WI. This charming establishment boasts German architectural influences that reflect the heritage of the area’s earliest immigrants. Its renowned walls celebrate Milwaukee’s brewing tradition while offering a one-of-a-kind venue for couples tying the knot. Pabst Brewing Company was founded by Jacob Best Sr. in 1844. As the first brewing company established in Milwaukee, Best was committed to creating a quality beverage by developing a distinct brewing process. He opened his factory in the heart of the city, which was later overseen by his son, Phillip, and Phillip’s son-in-law, Frederick Pabst. The business quickly became the United States’ largest brewing company, a title which it held until 1946. The Pabst Brewery in Milwaukee closed in 1996 and in 2001, it was purchased by Jim Haertel. Haertel reopened the historic property to share the unique charm of the building with others. The simple yet elegant venue retains its old-fashioned quality and celebrates its founders’ legacy. Best Place at Pabst features indoor and outdoor event spaces that you can use for your ceremony and reception. Whether you are hosting an intimate gathering or a large celebration, this venue can accommodate you and up to 300 guests. Its Great Hall is the largest function room and features a bar, hardwood flooring, and beautiful stained-glass windows. The slightly smaller Blue Ribbon Hall boasts murals painted by the Chicago artist Edgar Miller in the early 20th century. The Best Place at the Pabst truly was the best place to have our wedding! Because we had a lot of out-of-town guests, we opted to combine our ceremony and reception location in the Great Hall. We knew from the first tour we wanted to get married here - it gives the perfect historic, old Milwaukee feel with beautiful hardwood and windows throughout (so decor was minimal!). Sarah was very helpful in answering all our questions and helping to make sure that the day ran smoothly. They were also very accommodating with our additions of hours and a small stage for the ceremony. All of our guests loved being in such a beautiful, classic Milwaukee venue, and many commented on how special and unique it was. The bartenders were also awesome, and it was wonderful to have such a customizable bar package. We highly recommend The Best Place at Pabst for a totally awesome Milwaukee wedding.

My son & daughter in law had their wedding and reception at Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery this weekend! Everything was beautiful! The Speakeasy was fabulous for cocktail hour. The Great Hall was beautiful. The wedding guest loved the venue, the beautiful stain glass windows, and the historic building. The staff was the very best!

This venue was spectacular and everything we hoped and dreamed. Based on the pictures on the knot I was hesitant but seeing the venue in person, the pictures don’t do it justice. Very elegant venue and doesn’t require much dressing up (we had extremely simple centerpieces to not take away from the beauty of the venue). Worked with Sarah as our event coordinator and she was awesome, so organized, and very thoughtful/considerate and helped us a ton. The entire staff was great. Highly recommend!!

This venue was absolutely amazing. We had our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception in the Blue Ribbon Hall and were so happy with the style of the venue, the warmth and intimacy of the space, and the historic aspect as well. We did not get to use the courtyard since it was November, but it was still nice to have that space available to us. Sarah G. was great to work with throughout the process and she made sure everything went well the day of the wedding. We would highly recommend this venue!

Best Place was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding of two craft beer lovers on 6/24/22. From the very beginning, Sarah and the entire staff were welcoming, excited for our event, and super helpful. Sarah answered all of my emails quickly and with great detail. We picked Blue Ribbon Hall at Best Place beause of the stunning wood dinner space and beautiful brick courtyard for the ceremony and dancing. The stained glass everywhere is another great touch and we loved how our entire event would be in once space. The inner space was great for dinner and the outdoor space was plenty of room for dancing, the DJ and a photobooth - all under the pretty string lights and the stars. I also appreciated that they had a good rain contingency plan. The location is also top notch - it is steps away from hotels so that we did not have to worry about transportation and almost directly underneath the lighted Pabst sign where we took more pictures. This venue is a beautiful part of Milwaukee history. I will never forget seeing my husband to be in front of the stain glass in a courtyard filled with friends and family - it was more than my dream day!

The Best Place was literally the best place for our wedding on 10/2/21. Everything was beautiful - the ceremony in the outdoor courtyard, reception in blue ribbon hall, and all the history the venue has. The staff was incredibly helpful and professional, especially the coordinator Sarah. A little slow to respond sometimes but ALWAYS got back to us with thoroughly answering our questions. When it started to rain, the staff did everything to make sure things were perfect. We loved how reasonable this venue was and the customizable bar packages. We were able to have our dream wedding within our budget. The only downside I can think of for this amazing venue was the later ceremony/start time. We weren't contracted to start until 5pm and unable to start setup until 2pm. To alleviate the stress of set up, I designated some family to do it and gave them detailed instructions with pictures on how to do it. It ended up working really well. Thank you SO much to everyone at the Best Place for hosting our event and helping us create our whimsical, ethereal, cottage core vibe wedding.

Everything was beautiful - the ceremony in the outdoor courtyard, reception in blue ribbon hall, and all the history the venue has. From a complimentary coffe for our meetings to helping our actual wedding day run smoothly in every single aspect. When she said I didn't have to worry about I thing, (of course I did until I got there) I realized she was absolutely right! I didn't have a single concern.Anytime we walked in for a meeting or even just to drop off things for the wedding, all of the staff members we friendly and helpful.The bartenders were so friendly and very welcoming to all of our guests. We also got married on game 7 of the Bucks playoff game, Scott promptly got the projector hooked up for all of us to watch the Bucks move on in the playoffs!!

We had the absolute best time at the Best Place for our wedding. We had to postpone our wedding last year due to Covid and Sarah was so helpful and reassuring even when we had to postpone for a second time. All of our guests were mesmerized by the beauty and history of everything the buildings offer. We knew when we first walked in to do the tour that it was the place we would be getting married.

We got marred on New Years Eve at the Best Place in the Great Hall. It was the PERFECT venue! Our guests loved the Speakeasy downstairs for cocktail hour. The Bridal Suite was also very convenient and large enough to fit me and my 11 stand ups plus more. We also had an ice bar at our wedding that they were very flexible on and worked with us. Sarah was great to work with and we would highly recommend this venue to anybody! Plus the venue is gorgeous so you do not need a ton of decorations!

Best Place was THE best place to have our best day ever! Sarah was so helpful from the beginning answering any questions in a timely manner and on the day of she helped to make everything run smoothly. Our bartenders were amazing and kept everyone with drinks in hand all night even though the bar never slowed down! The venue is truly beautiful--we got married in the courtyard and danced the night away out there too--if you're thinking about dancing outside here, DO IT, you won't regret it! SO beautiful! Our dinner was in Blue Ribbon Hall which has a cool historical vibe that didn't need much decorating at all. The entire experience was perfect and everyone kept telling us how much they loved the venue! I would highly recommend Best Place to anyone and we cannot wait for our next excuse to visit.

What can I say that hasn't already been said, Best Place is literally THE BEST. When my fiance and I got engaged our heads were spinning with all the venue options having recently relocated to CA from TN, having met in Chicago and having family in WI and in the UK - where to begin? I found Best Place on the Knot and just fell in love and hoped the Great Hall would be everything it looked to be through online reviews. I took my fiance to Best Place for a brewery tour right after we got engaged and when we walked into the Hall we just knew it was our venue. We had both our ceremony and reception in the Great Hall on a Sunday in fall, the room was flipped in for dinner without a hitch. While we had fun decorating for fall, honestly, Best Place is so inviting you don't need to dress it up much. We had guests from all walks of life and young and old raved about the space. Sarah was our venue coordinator and she was incredibly responsive. I know Best Place is in high demand for those in WI and outside the state so she must be juggling a lot of events but you really wouldn't know it. We always felt cared for and never like we were just the next couple to run through there. Thank you for making our day so darn magical. I've traveled the world and I truly couldn't envision a better space for our nuptials. Can't wait to come back over the holidays for a pint!

What can I say that hasn't already been said, Best Place is literally THE BEST. When my fiance and I got engaged our heads were spinning with all the venue options having recently relocated to CA from TN, having met in Chicago and having family in WI and in the UK - where to begin? I found Best Place on the Knot and just fell in love and hoped the Great Hall would be everything it looked to be through online reviews. I took my fiance to Best Place for a brewery tour right after we got engaged and when we walked into the Hall we just knew it was our venue. At first, her calmness shocked me because she just kept postponing all the things I wanted to accomplish now to later dates. It's not until now that I understand why she wanted us to wait. Kimberly will always welcome you to her home away from home with three things: a huge smile, a big hug, and a glass of beer (or drink- depending on the level of breakdown you are experiencing at the time you meet with her).The blue ribbon room at the best place is a magical place. It has so much character to it that it doesn't need much to bring out the beauty of it. The courtyard and the bar attached to those two are included in the price. Great price, great building, lots of history, great pictures setting, great atmosphere, awesome architecture are the few elements that are combined to make you choose this venue among others. (Tables and chairs are included in the price!!!) A huge thing too is their bar packages is great: tons of beer and wine, and great spirit selection. Everything about the best place and their staff was perfect. If you want to have a great magical night, trust your wedding to the people of the best place. Kimberly will take good care of you. The Pabst is amazing, the venue is beautiful and doesn't need any fancy decorations. It's perfect for a rustic historical feel. Having a few different spaces made it great for the guests to mingle, dance and just have a good time. Kim Dorfner is AMAZING and provides anything that you need!

We just got married at the Best Place 2 days ago and my heart is still pumping at full speed thinking about how amazing it was!!! The Best Place at the Pabst is hands down THE BEST place to get married in Milwaukee for 3 reasons: 1) It's beautiful!!! 2) The staff is phenomenal!!! and 3) The venue coordinator, Kimberly, is an ABSOLUTE DREAM!!!! Honestly, words can't do justice to how happy we were with how everything turned out and we have Kimberly and her team at the Best Place to thank!! From the second we expressed interest in renting the space for our wedding to the final moments of our reception, Kimberly was the most responsive and supportive venue coordinator possible. She answered every question I had within 24 hours and was so flexible, calm, and encouraging throughout the entire process. WE LOVE YOU KIMBERLY!!! :) We rented out the entire space for our Saturday evening wedding and all night we had guests coming up to us telling us how amazing it was. Ceremony in the Great Hall, cocktails in the courtyard, and then back in to the great hall for the reception, and everything was coordinated PERFECTLY!!!! Thank you so so so much to everyone at the Best Place who made our day so unforgettable, for both us and our guests!! We are forever in your debt and can't wait to come back for a visit!! 100% THE BEST PLACE to have your wedding. Nick and I were impressed from the first time we saw the space about 1 1/2 before our wedding. The price was right and very nice chairs and tables were included. At the time of the first showing the speakeasy was under construction and the final product was unbelievable! The vaults downstairs were great for taking pictures and my guests really enjoyed it! Kim was fantastic through the whole process. Anytime we visited the venue, Kim made sure we had fun and had a drink in our hands! About half way through planning, we lost our ceremony site and she didn't miss a beat. She made sure we had a place to unite. The days leading up to the wedding were less stressful because Kim made sure we had everything we needed. She helped to make sure my dress looked perfect before walking down the aisle with my dad. Kim checked in on Nick and I during the reception and stayed until we needed her to. The bar tenders were fantastic and even helped us pack up our centerpieces at the end of the reception. We loved the great selection of beers and ciders available on tap. I would recommend this venue to anyone who will listen!

100% THE BEST PLACE to have your wedding. Nick and I were impressed from the first time we saw the space about 1 1/2 before our wedding. The price was right and very nice chairs and tables were included. At the time of the first showing the speakeasy was under construction and the final product was unbelievable! We went to The Best Place about 6 months before our wedding after having just lost our previous venue due to building changes. We were worried about the vendors we’d already booked working with our new venue as well as keeping the same old Milwaukee industrial feel. Kimberly met us and was very understanding of our situation. To our surprise and delight all our currently booked vendors commonly work with the Best Place. She made sure to talk to all our vendors before the day to make sure everyone was on the same page. We were also able to have both our ceremony and reception at the same location with a cocktail hour in their newly renovated speak-easy downstairs. A major plus for us was the large amount of beers and a cider available on tap for our wedding! Kimberly was very responsive to emails and calls. She was also there day of to handle little things, including making sure the train of my dress was straightened right before I walked down the aisle. The bar tenders were very helpful with suggestion to add to the fun of our grand march. They also kept an eye on our gift table and alerted us to any suspicious behavior or people. They also helped us pack up our decorations at the end of the night and assisted with the room flip between our ceremony and reception. The Best Place team was great to work with and really made our wedding day worry free and exactly what we wanted.

We had our reception at Blue Ribbon Hall and had the BEST time. The venue is absolutely beautiful and has so much history attached to it. It was perfect for us, as we wanted something a little different than the traditional banquet hall. We had 88 people at the wedding, and Blue Ribbon Hall was the perfect size. We also had access to the Visitor's Lounge during cocktail hour and the courtyard, which served as a cool place to take a breather throughout the night. The bar was also open throughout the duration of the reception and the alcohol was VERY reasonably priced. They had a variety of craft beers and ciders to choose from which our guests really liked. The bartenders also did a fabulous job. All of our guests LOVED the venue. Kimberly was so flexible and easy to work with. We enjoyed our wedding more than I think most people usually do.

I could not have asked for anything better for my special day. It was an incredible day and the staff at the Best Place (especially Kimberly) were AMAZING. Best Place was the 3rd and final venue that my husband and I toured when looking for a place to host our wedding. We also explored The Hamilton and the Iron Horse Hotel. Out of all the venues, Best Place was the only one that we walked into and felt a connection. I stepped into the courtyard and could picture myself getting married. It's a very diverse venue with multiple rooms suited for different wedding activities. \r\rI also loved the look and aesthetic of the space. The great room has a beautiful wooden barrel ceiling that's capped off with a hand-painted fresco of the beer brewing process. Also, the stained glass windows everywhere are awesome - they're covered with little pictures of gnomes drinking beer! \r\rIf you're looking for a unique venue in the Milwaukee area that doesn't just feel like another wedding venue, I strongly recommend Best Place. Kimberly, their event coordinator, and the rest of the staff at Best Place were a pleasure to work with. Our wedding day would've been unforgettable regardless, but they made it all the better and at a truly reasonable price. \r\rHaving an event at Best Place directly supports the restoration of Milwaukee landmark. You can't go wrong!

I loved the Best Place. First off, the casual and warm personalities of the owners and staff - hit home. They carried that through the whole process. The space is unique, rustic and very Milwaukee. It was cozy for 165 but not too tight. Everyone loved how it all looked. Only needed linens and centerpieces - the lighting and existing decorations were already great. \rThey allowed me to add my favorite caterer which saved us a lot of money. \rWish I had an excuse to use the space again....will just have to visit them for Pabst tours. :)

With a beautiful, unique, historic backdrop and laid-back caring staff, the Best Place at the Historic Pabst Brewery was everything we could have hoped for on our special day. We had our reception here. While the venue is on the smaller side, it was perfect for our intimate wedding (100 people). The 2 courtyards were also a wonderful addition with the awesome weather we had. The staff was willing to do anything to make our party great. The owners were wonderful and very helpful. The event coordinator, Kim Dorfner, made us feel very special and that we had nothing to worry about. Would recommend to anyone!

The event coordinator, Kim, and the staff at Best Place were very friendly and accomodating. Kim met with us several times and worked with our budget. It was made sure that everything ran smoothly on the day of. Kim made suggestions of tenting companies and catering. Best Place looked absolutely amazing, magical and beautiful on the night of the wedding. It almost felt like a fairy tale. The bar staff made the guests VERY happy.\r\rThe only complaint was that the wedding the next day got our tent, rented tables/chairs and heat lamps for free and we were told that when that happens there is a possibility to split the cost. We did not know that there was a wedding the next day, otherwise we would have inquired more about possibly spliting the cost.
