What a beautiful venue for a celebration! Amber helped the bride and groom through all of the details. From the lodging, rehearsal, to the actual ceremony, her assistance in the planning and execution was invaluable. The staff was amazing and the cabins breathtaking. Great Experience!!

Beautiful, budget friendly and cozy! We had an outdoor October ceremony facing the lake (small guest list around 50) whom stood on the patio. We got a lot of compliments about the lodge, the views and the wedding in general. Planning was easy with Amber, she was a rock star and answered so many of my questions and helped make \"it work\" for us. We didn't want to start out with a lot of debt from our wedding, this was perfect fit for the \"up north\" vibes without the North Shore price tag. We got ready in one of the Villas which was PERFECT for the bridal party/groomsmen (6 on each side). Plenty of room for the photographer as well as the hair and makeup professional. Only down side was there not being an in house dance floor but we rented one from Aikin Rentals. Food was reasonably priced but could have been better.

The staff at Big Sandy was so friendly and helpful. They blocked everything as we requested and all of our guests had a great place to stay! All of our guests complimented on how nice the lodge was. We all stayed at the lodge Friday and Saturday of the wedding and had a blast. Will definitely be coming back! Also had our rehearsal dinner here and the food was wonderful. We love coming here!

We rented a private lodge for our wedding in McGregor but needed a place for a few of our guests to stay. Big Sandy was fantastic! Guests felt like they were on vacation and enjoyed the surroundings. We rented jet skis and had the bachelor party on their patio - lots of fun memories created there. We can't wait to go back and visit.

I loved this venue for my wedding. The outdoor scenery on the lake was absolutely gorgeous in photos. Unfortunately it rained for my day but they were able to implement plan B and C in less than an hour. The staff is excellent, food is amazing and the overall feel of the lodge is cozy and comforting. Easy venue for rustic northwoods wedding and it is easy to change to a more elegant wedding as well. Highly recommended venue.
