Where should I even begin, the amazing team, the food, the crew Joni, Lauren, and Marco made our wedding the best day of our lives. It has been over a week and our guests are still talking about how beautiful, fun, and perfect our wedding was. Not to mention how impressed everyone was with the food. We had a plated dinner service of steak or chicken. The steak was perfectly cooked medium rare for every single person! We were shocked at how the kitchen was able to pull that off for over 100 guests. I know people will be talking about our wedding years from now and it is all because of Black Gold. The entire place is a picture perfect stage for a dream wedding. They even allowed our dog to be part of our bog day, which we were over the moon about. We had lots of decorations for the day and did not really plan it out or tell Joni/Lauren how we wanted things and they made everything look better than I had imagined. The reception room was more than what I had pictured. Everything was even better than I had could dream up! Perhaps we’ll have our baby shower or anniversary at Black Gold. We are truly grateful for our incredible wedding, thanks to Black Gold. Also, shoutout to Marco— anytime my husband and I were without a drink, he magically appeared at our service, this was pre-wedding, post ceremony, during photos and the reception. My husband and I both wish we could do it all over again.

Amazing wedding venue!We fell in love with the outdoor ceremony and the overall vibes of the place. Joni and Lauren worked very hard and diligently to make sure our day is one to never forget. Service by Marco was superb. His attention to detail throughout the whole process and his service to make sure the groom & bride were taken care of from start to finish made us feel right at home. We really really appreciate it!The guests all enjoyed the food very much. We offered the NY Steak and the pan-seared Salmon. Overall, the venue - amazing, service - top notch, food - delicious. I got married at Black Gold Golf Club on 4.22.23 and it was perfect! This was the first and only venue my husband and I visited. We wanted somewhere we could have both the ceremony and reception. The location was beautiful and the cost was very reasonable compared to other venues we contacted. Joni, Lauren, Marco and all the staff were great. Joni was our point of contact for the entire process and she made things go so smooth for us. Wedding planning is stressful, but when you have someone like Joni it gets a lot easier. THANK YOU JONI!! Everything about our day went smoothly. The food was delicious and all of our guests said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding. One of our favorite parts of the day was getting to ride around in the golf carts. My bridesmaids, flower girls and I were carted to the ceremony site and then my husband and I were carted up the hill to take photos. They treated us so well on our day and went above and beyond for us. Here are a few examples of how they did that. It was warm that day and Marco brought us water and lemonade multiple times. He even put a straw in a water bottle and would bring it to me in between pictures. He also bustled my dress when my maid of honor couldn't figure it out. He's a man of many talents! They also made sure we ate by bringing my husband and groomsmen wings and nachos and my bridesmaids a charcuterie board before the ceremony and then appetizers after the ceremony. These are just a few instances of what we experienced. I'm so happy we went with Black Gold Golf Club! They helped us have the perfect day!

This venue/golf club is truly amazing! From the spectacular views of Orange County to the people working there, everything about this place is really special! My husband and I recently had our wedding reception there and it was honestly one of the best decisions we've made when we were planning for our wedding. Joni is so great and easy to work with, that she (with the help of her wonderful staff) made us feel so comfortable and so welcomed every time we visited the golf club. The stresses of planning a wedding, especially the reception, can be a bit overwhelming but Joni was always so attentive along the way in making sure that they had everything covered, which gave us so much relief. And best of all, they worked so well with our own vendors that everything was so seamless! The venue itself did not disappoint! Cocktail hour, dinner, and a big enough room for dancing and good times were beyond exceptional! Our guests cannot stop talking about how beautiful the venue was, especially with nice views of the city and some parts of the golf course. We definitely made some core memories here and I believe that my husband and I will for sure be visiting this place more and catch up with Joni and her staff for years to come!

Our wedding took place just last weekend and I'm so glad that my husband and I chose Black Gold Golf Club as our wedding venue! The moment we entered the ceremony area we were in love with how beautiful the view was. The reception area was also glass on the side walls which made the view beautiful during sunset. Joni was our event manager that walked us through the venue and coordinated with us to plan our wedding from beginning to end. You can tell she is truly passionate about her work and experienced as well. She helped me tweak all last minute changes and made sure that everything was perfect on my wedding day. I would definitely recommend this golf course as a wedding venue!

We are an older couple who are completely clueless about planning a wedding,, but Joni was amazing and helped us have the wedding of our dreams. The venue is absolutely beautiful with an amazing view and the food is over the top! One of my guests said that the food was a 12 out of 10! Joni also recommended an amazing, DJ, Steve Brudick. Other guests commented that it was classy from beginning to end. Others commented to that it was the most fun they ever had at a wedding. A huge shout out to Joni, Lauren and Marco for treating us so special!

First of all an AMAZING shoutout to Joni and Marco!Joni was our coordinator along with Lauren and both of them were FANTASTIC with planning up to the day and the day of. There's always the usual little things that come up with weddings and Joni was there every step of the way and helped take alot of the stress off my back. Marco was I believe the head of staff the day of and he took care of things that I didn't even know till after! He made sure my husband and I always had our favorite drinks and we had everything we needed. The staff is all very sweet and made this wedding a great experience!

Even during the planning phase, we were happily surprised. Joni, the wedding coordinator was a true pleasure to work with. She was very attentive to our needs; she gave suggestions when we asked for it. Black Gold has has plethora of decorating options, which made planning our dream reception possible. She allowed us to come by multiple times before the reception, which allowed us to finalize our vision for the wedding reception.Our favorite meeting was when we had the chance to taste the delicious food provided by their executive chef. It was of great help to be able to have our decorations given to Black Gold the day before and have them set them up perfectly. Joni did an amazing job coordinating with all of our vendors. She even went out of her way to print out something of ours at the last minute.The day of wedding was filled with more joy. We were greeted by Joni and her assistant Marco with food and water. Marco was very attentive to our needs throughout the day; he was always asking if we needed beverages or food. Thank you Marco. Joni did a wonderful job coordinating with the our photographer with best views of us on the beautiful golf course. We appreciated all extra effort that she put in. Marco was very attentive to our needs throughout the day; he was always asking if we needed beverages or food. My husband and I held our wedding at Black Gold Golf course on 11/20/21. As a wedding that was planned during COVID, we had been in contact with Joni for almost a year and a half prior. She was always so responsive and professional in her planning skills. While our engagement was on the longer side, we never felt like we were left in the dark and she always would remind us of the planning timeline and the next things we would have to do.On the day of our wedding when we arrived for our reception (we had our ceremony at a separate location), Joni and Marco were ready and made the perfect dynamic duo. While Marco helped ensure the cocktail hour went smoothly for our guests, Joni had the golf cart ready to drive my husband, photographer, and videographer to all the beautiful locations in this golf course. The photos don't do this place justice! There are so many picturesque spots - whether the waterfall, the top of the hill overlooking the entire golf course and clubhouse, or even the dainty white picket fence. We had a blast hopping in and out of the golf cart to take photos.After our photo session, the reception was flawlessly executed. As an avid planner, I had planned everything from the grand entrances, speeches, etc. down to the minute and the execution was on point! Furthermore, the appetizer and dinner service were phenomenal! Our guests commented that normally wedding food is pretty mediocre and unmemorable but that they would remember how amazing our food tasted (beef wellington + ahi tuna hor deourves were to die for!), and the chicken was cooked to perfection.Whenever things go smoothly, it's always so easy to take things for granted. However, as we reflect on our wedding, it truly was the joint effort of Joni, Marco, the rest of the BG staff and our vendors that our wedding was the perfect evening for us. We love you guys!

We booked an appointment for a venue tour and it was easy enough. The venue was beautiful, but the associate who took us on the tour really seemed disinterested in helping us with our questions and the pricing was pretty expensive for what we would be getting. The walkway for the bride isn't the greatest and there would be some stairs to climb, so I don't think that would've looked great for pictures. So we decided to look for another venue.

Liz was amazing throughout this process and her team on the day of the wedding. She worked with me and was so flexible and provide great guidance! The price for our wedding was very affordable which is the first reason why I picked this venue, the view was amazing (was very quite and no noise from streets or hear people playing golf), and the food was to die for!! After the wedding all of my family and friends came up to me and told me how amazing the food was! There were no bad dishes or anything over or under cooked. If I had to get married again I would choose Black Gold again. From start to finish everything was amazing!!! We had no problems with any of the vendors getting or coming to the venue and Liz was a great coordinator with everyone. 10/10!!

I am honestly disappointed with this venue. Everything leading up to our wedding day was nice. Cara and Liz were both very sweet and made things easy for us. However, the day of our wedding did not go as smoothly. The day of, Liz was not very pleasant and seemed to be in a bad mood, which is not something you want to be dealing with on the day of your wedding. As far as the food, we took the time to go in for a tasting 4 months before the wedding and selected meals we liked best, including a specialty vegetarian for me. On our wedding, the meal that was provided to our guests was NOT what we had ordered. I understand going in for a tasting, they want to present it the best, and having to prepare that same meal for many people is difficult, but when you are spending thousands of dollars, you should get what you ask for. The meal was not presented well and was not what we asked for. And my vegetarian meal was no longer a specialty meal, but appeared to be some re-heated, bland ravioli. We also had golfers eating our appetizers which is extremely disappointing. When we brought up these issues with the manager, we felt it wasn't handled properly. Your wedding day comes only once and we are upset that we had several issues at this venue. On the plus side, the venue is gorgeous. The wait staff was very sweet, especially Marco, who goes WAY above and beyond, to help with anything you need. This is not a bad venue, there just needs to be some major improvements and unfortunately, that's not something that will help us fix the problems we experienced on our wedding day.

Katie and Gina were amazing! We had such a magical day and everything went smoothly thanks to them! The venue is gorgeous, Katie took us to all the best spots to get the most beautiful pictures, the food was delicious- a ton of our guests said they loved the food and had more than 1 plate (We got the buffet).. The bar service was excellent and the bartender made sure i had a drink whenever i wanted one! Gina helped set everything up and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. They met with us numerous times to make sure i was completely happy with EVERY LITTLE THING! Katie is so personable, i felt like i had an extra bridesmaid! She was awesome. They are a great team and as a whole, we couldn't be happier that we chose Black Gold as our venue! Thank you!!

We got married at Black Gold this past September. Gina and Katie were wonderful to work with. Both are very experienced, professional, and courteous. They really helped to make the whole experience smooth and fun. We almost forgot the rings walking down the aisle, but Katie was quick to adjust and made the right decisions to make it seamless. Our guests really enjoyed the beautiful setting of the golf course. We loved the intimate ceremony site and the ballroom surrounded with windows. The tasting and the food that night was also delicious. We toured a lot of venues in OC, but this was definitely our favorite and after all was said and done, I know we made the right choice.

We had our wedding back on a hot Sunday morning in mid July. We coordinated our wedding within about three months. After multiple visits to other venues, Black Gold Golf Club was the clear cut winner. Gina and her crew were very helpful and accommodating to our needs. Even with the changes we made just days before the wedding. We asked for a tent days before to shade our guests and it was up and ready to go. There were just some minor gliches that were remedied but nothing to sweat over. They even had a wedding party of 200 people the night before and were ready for our party of 60 the next day. One of which was a tournament that placed an exotic car where we were going to take pictures. No problem they moved the car. We never tasted the buffet food prior to the wedding. All of the guests loved the food, the omelet bar, and the desserts (No cake - our decision). We were visiting tables when the meal started and when we got back to our seats poof their staff made sure we had a large plateful. The venue has great site lines and great spots for pictures. The staff was great and very accommodating. The bridal room was kept cold which was great on the hot day. We were able to use golf carts to help shuttle our older guests. I did not get a chance to play golf but my son's did. If you choose this site, I do not think you would be disappointed. The price was very reasonable. Don't be afraid to ask any question or for help along the planning way. Well done Black Gold!!

I will start the review by saying that we chose to host our wedding at Black Gold primarily because of the professionalism of Liz who is mentioned in prior reviews. She was so easy to work with, flexible and communicated in a timely manner. Additionally, the venue is a beautiful site.However, Liz left the venue for another opportunity a month before our wedding and while I would not say things went completely downhill after that but there was a definite noticeable detriment. There were a few things that did not get communicated downstream once Liz left or perhaps some of the policies changed. Overall, expectations that encompass the positive reviews previously posted were not met.A few day of issues:- Absolutely no day of coordination provided by the venue despite paying a fee for this in the contract. Any type of management oversight was non existent after a certain time as well. - The kitchen was behind in prep and serving the food thus impacting the schedule the rest of the night. No additional time was compensated. - The 3 hour bar seemed to end a little early on most guests watch.- Lack of water during the ceremony on a very hot day. No one clearly monitoring this on the staff.- Cake was not served to all guests - Reception room could sparingly provide space for 200+ people. - The staff made comments such as 'you get what you paid for' to our family. This is where some level of management oversight would have helped.Advice:- Hire your own coordinator!- Guests should be 150 people or less for the venue - Make sure all expectations are clearly stated and communicated in writing.Pros:- Food received a lot of compliments- Compliments to most of the staff who were not rude or did not make obscure comments.- Venue and scenery is still very nice- Compliments to Jim for trying to provide some order at the very end of the night.Lastly, I would like to apologize for taking out some verbal frustration on the staff that evening. I understand that they are not responsible for some of the downfalls. A complimentary drink could have gone a long way to calm down the groom! One of the upsells that was communicated prior to booking was that the bride and groom would drink for free through the night which proved to be untrue.

I just got married here on 3/19/2016, and it was my DREAM wedding. Everything went perfectly without a hitch and I'm already having wedding withdrawals.. :)\r\rWhen I first went to check out the venue a year ago, I met with Elizabeth and she gave me a tour of the venue. I instantly loved the ceremony area, and I also instantly loved Elizabeth! She was warm, kind, and very passionate about her venue and her role.\r\rEvery other potential wedding venue I had checked out up until that point (and believe me, I checked out a lot of places!) made me feel like I was being nickle and dimed for everything...but Elizabeth made me feel completely opposite. She made me feel taken care of instantly and was willing to work with me and my budget to make me happy. It was a very easy decision for me to have my wedding here, thanks to her!!\r\rThroughout the entire wedding planning process, Elizabeth was AWESOME. She was on top of it! She always happily answered any question I had, and got back to me immediately - sometimes even on her days off - and she definitely did not have to do that. I never felt like I was bothering her (even though sometimes I'm sure I was with the million questions that I had over the months). She allowed my vendors to contact her directly which made things so much easier on me as well. She always took the time to explain all the different options and uses I can have with the venue so I always knew exactly what was open to me.\r\rThe venue itself is a great hidden gem. The layout is also perfect. The ceremony area has a beautiful arch of green leaves - and a bunch of white flowers bloomed right before my wedding all around it! The entire ceremony area (flowers or without flowers) is so beautiful that you really don't need to do much with it. I had some aisle flowers and two alter flowers in urns - and it was more than enough. The outside terrace that we used for cocktail hour wraps around the reception room and also connects to the bar. It overlooks the golf course and lake. It is a very green, scenic and beautiful. \r\rThe food.. THE FOOD~~!!!! We received SO many compliments on the food. We chose to serve it buffet style and we had tuna on wonton appetizer, 2 different kinds of salads, scalloped potatoes, wild rice, chicken moldavian, and tri tip - and everything was out of this world and cooked to perfection. Not sure how they did that for 200+ people - but everyone was very impressed and went back for seconds and thirds. Even the dinner rolls were SO good... it had everyone raving about them.\r\rThe entire day went PERFECTLY, and Elizabeth really held it all together for us. She went above and beyond her call of duty for us and we truly could not have been happier. She even surprised me with gold table covers for our cake table, sweet heart table, and guestbook table the morning of our wedding day! It was absolutely stunning and something that we did not even expect. I know even all of my vendors loved her such as the DJ, photobooth, emCee, lighting, etc.. because they all told me so! \r\rElizabeth is a professional, and her passion for her work shines through in the results. She cares about your day and makes you really feel it too. THANK YOU, for making our wedding so perfect and special!

Worth every penny! Black Gold was my first choice for my wedding venue. I visited 8 other venues and felt so welcomed by the staff that no other venue compared. It was a bit out of price range but the catering manger Liz Malher worked with us to get right where we needed to be to make our dreams come true. The property is gorgeous. The ceremony law was my favorite. The staff was very accommodating and made us feel so special. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such an amazing wedding.

The food was so tasty and one of the many things everyone is still talking about. The coordination was a success due to the on site coordinator Liz Mahler. She was on top of everything all night as well as the year planning process. My family is so pleased with the turnout and we look back at our pictures with such excitement. Wow, was my wedding the best day of my life. This venue has so much to offer. I am not sure if there was even one thing I didn't like. The food and service were above and beyond. I got to work with Liz Mahler the planner at Black Gold who is an angel for putting up with me and helping me create a fabulous wedding. I will never forget this day nor will my guests and family. I am so happy I choose Black Gold as a wedding venue. The course is so pretty and there is an area without a view. Liz is the best to work with and her staff is trained better than any other staff I have seen. You will not be disappointed.

BEST VENUE EVER! This place is breathtaking! I don't know a better location for an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. There are one of a kind views and the outdoor patio area is to die for. The food was outstanding and the wedding planner Liz was an absolute joy to work with. My hectic schedule and crazy in laws were a lot to handle and Liz took care of every little detail whether it was her duty to or not. I am so grateful to the Black Gold staff and Liz for making my wedding the best ever!

We booked our wedding with Black Gold over a year in advance for the ceremony only. My husband golfs and I wanted a beautiful venue so we decided to book here. We didn’t have the reception at Black Gold though because we had too many guests to fit into the reception area. Megan was our contact person from the beginning. She took her time with responding to questions throughout the year leading up to the wedding which was pretty frustrating for a bride. Later it turns out a bunch of her emails got returned to me and there was something wrong with the email address. I was trying to confirm a rehearsal date and time but unfortunately they couldn’t do that too far in advance in the case of another event etc. This made it very difficult to plan a rehearsal dinner when you didn’t know when the rehearsal would be. Megan was nice but she wasn’t the most helpful person and did not go out of her way to help you with any concerns you had. \rLuckily, our day of coordinator was Kathy and I met her about a week or so before my wedding. She was very nice and very detail oriented which for a bride like me is a huge relief. We discussed all the details that was going to happen at the rehearsal and the wedding day. \rPeople always say every wedding day doesn’t go perfectly and my wedding day definitely fell into that category. The groom ended up showing up at Black Gold when my bridesmaids and I were supposed to be taking pictures outside and this stressed me out like no other because I did not want the groom to see me in my dress. Kathy made sure he walked straight pass my bridal suite and was inside the bar area facing a direction that was not looking outside while we did our pictures. About 40 minutes before the ceremony, we realized my veil was not there and still at the hotel in Costa Mesa. Kathy found someone in our family to leave right away to go back and get the veil. She also got me a shot to calm down and some cheese and crackers since I haven’t eaten. She also brought us champagne in the bridal suite. It was stressful because the ceremony was now late and we only had the venue until 3PM. It was now 1 something and we still had ceremony and pictures to do. Luckily the veil came and the ceremony finally started. During the ceremony, I realized I lost my engagement ring and it was not on my finger. Right after, I walked down the aisle I told Kathy about it and her face dropped. She immediately rounded up some staff to go look for it. Luckily it was found. Because the ceremony started late we didn’t have that much time for photos and were pretty rushed. Kathy drove us around the golf course and made sure we got pictures at some really pretty spots. Did I mention I got married in August and it was about 95 degrees that day? Everyone was running around sweating like crazy but thank you so much Kathy for all your hard work that day through all the chaos. Our wedding was beautiful despite all the chaos and we are glad we had our wedding ceremony there. \r

My husband and I just got married at Black Gold Golf course 1 week ago! It's a great place to get hitched :) The golf course is absolutely beautiful and when the reception hall is filled up with Chivari chairs, it's elegant and gorgeous!\r\rThe food was really good too! When we came in for the tasting we were very impressed with the food, but thought that there was no way that the chef could make 160 dinners taste as good when he had to cook in bulk for the wedding day. To our surprise however, everything tasted even better then at our tasting! The other surprising thing is that we actually had time to eat during the reception because Callie and Megan, our coordinators, did an amazing job helping us organize our time line and keeping us on track the whole night. So our evening was quite relaxed and enjoyable!\r\rWe got so many compliments on the food, atmosphere and location for our wedding reception. And the best part is that Black Gold totally worked with our budget and was absolutely on the up and up the whole time we were working out the details of our contract. Also, whenever details were updated, like guest count and bar tabs, Callie and Megan quickly sent over an updated order form so that I was always aware of the total cost of the event. It was so seamless and organized! That definitely relieved a lot of the stress around planning the wedding. \r\rCallie and Megan were also really generous by letting us borrow so many things for the day of the wedding: cake cutting set, table numbers and holders, projectors, easels for our engagement photos...We interviewed a bunch of other venues before selecting Black Gold and are very aware of how many venues charge extra for these items. So I never felt like I was getting nickel and dimed when I was working with Black Gold.\r\rCallie and Megan were also so flexible even down to the wire. We loved the outdoor cocktail space that Black Gold has available but were afraid the heat would make all our guests wilt! But the Black Gold team was so creative that they found a solution for us and we were able to rent large umbrellas which looked gorgeous and helped to keep everyone cool. \r\rWe loved getting married at Black Gold!

We started off a little shakey, the wedding coordinator was changed on me 3 times but when we ended up with Kathy we were soooo happy. She truly takes her job to the next level. I even had to call her on her day off which I felt awful about, but she graciously took my call and fixed the problem in minutes. The day of went fabulously even when we were behind. The staff adjusted seamlessly and none of the guests knew any difference. I would highly recommend using black gold and especially Kathy for any event. Oh and the food is amazing! So great!

What Black Gold did for me and my husband I will never forget, you all are apart of our past memories and will surely be apart of our future memories! I was very happy and my guests are still talking to me about how beautiful the scenery was and how great the food was. I would highly recommend getting married at Black Gold Golf Course.

Everyone here was great. The location was fantastic and so convenient. The coordinator went way above and beyond. Everyone said they loved the location. The views over looking the county at sunset was gorgeous. I know God had a hand in it, but the coloring was amazing. The service was top notch too. They exceeded every expectation. The food was fantastic, I loved every bite. The cake and coordinator were included which was a bonus in cutting the cost.

I absolutely LOVED this venue. Everything was beautiful, and everything I wanted. Gorgeous outside ceremony site, great indoor reception, it was awesome. \rThe service the day of was not good. Things that said would be done weren't. Our coordinator was amazing the whole engagement process, until the day of the wedding, when we needed her the most. \rThe Bridal Room (which can also be a conference room) had a huge table in the middle, which we were told that would be taken out the day of, and it was a HUGE inconvenience, very much so in the way. There was supposed to be a hard white runner down the isle, and there wasn't. So myself along with our whole wedding party had to walk down on the grass (ladies in heels) and now my yellow wedding shoes have stained black on the bottom form them sinking in. The shed doors were supposed to be shut down so golf carts had no access, but they were wide open with people coming in and out. Our coordinator said she would be with me the whole entire time, but when it came time for me and my husband to take our pictures, she was nowhere to be found. And we needed her to drive the golf cart so we could go to certain areas. So we had to wait, which just wasted time. She left the reception early, which resulted in nobody telling the best man to pull the car around for the grand exit, she didn't gather all our belongings like she said she would, i wasn't happy. None of these things were huge deal breakers to where it ruined my wedding day, at all. But when we're paying as much money as we did, I expect when we get told things will happen, they should happen. If it wasn't for the service on my big day, they would be getting 5 stars.

GORGEOUS venue. They have packages that include more than you can imagine (food, drink, linens, rentals, wait-staff, chocolate fountain, etc.) including a day-of coordinator. I had Madelon and she worked with me throughout the entire process. SUCH a sweetheart! The only bummer is they do not allow sparklers. I had numerous people (young and old) tell my family and I that the food was the best food they've ever had at a wedding.

I had Madelon and she worked with me throughout the entire process. SUCH a sweetheart! The only bummer is they do not allow sparklers. I had numerous people (young and old) tell my family and I that the food was the best food they've ever had at a wedding.

Everything at Black Gold Golf Club was amazing. The ceremony site is beautiful, the reception room is fantastic, the food was delicious, and the entire evening went off without a hitch. Our wedding coordinator did an extraordinary job keeping the families and other vendors on track before, during, and after the wedding. I want to thank Julie and Madelon and the entire staff for such a wonderful experience.

I loved the location of this venue and I know that my pictures will turn out amazing. The food was TO DIE FOR! I was blown away by the quality of buffet food, everyone was complimenting it throughout the nice. The reason I didn't give this venue five stars was because I felt the service wasn't what they promised. Our consultant hadn't been at that location for that long and wasn't the one we booked the site with. She was the sweetest person I have ever met, but I think she got overwhelmed. Things were forgotten about and fell through the cracks. I felt rushed through some of my picture taking and reception. She even forgot to have us sign our marriage license. :( Our DJ was never contacted by her, when she told us she would call and touch base with him. I would recommend this site to other brides, but I would recommend telling the site EXACTLY what you are looking for and what you need from them, and get everything in writing.

I cant count the many praises I have for the service and staff at Black Gold.\rFrom the inital walk thru until the wedding day, they were wonderful. Most brides pick their venue based on look and feel of the location, and hope that the service is there too.\rI can say that Black Gold's service is impeccable. Every memebr of the staff that I worked with was truly amazing. From being on their knees cleaning dirt off my dress to making sure I sat down to eat during the ceremony to making sure the bridal party's champaigne glasses were always full...etc etc I could go on and on.\rThere was never the, \"no we can't do that...\" What the bride wants is what the bride gets!\rI received SO many compliments from guests on how wonderful the food was too! And I agreed, the dinner and appetizers were AMAZING!\rBlack Gold was hands down the easiest part of the planning. They took care of everything perfectly. I didnt need to stress at all!

My husband & I got married at Black Gold Golf Club in Aug. 2010. After much discussion as to the location of our wedding, we decided to check this place out. After all, we had nothing to lose since our discussions went from having a destination wedding, to a winery, to an Armenian hall and now a golf club. I wasn't sure what to expect, although driving up to the place.....a really good vibe came over me. I remember it was a Sunday afternoon and it looked like the restaurant area was just finishing up their Sunday brunch. We walked around and a nice woman (I believe her name was Kathy) approached us and asked if we needed some assistance. We informed her that we were interested in getting some information on having a wedding at this location. She toured us around and as we walked out to the golf area we see the beautiful lake and the 18th green water fall. It was truly majestic. We then walked over to the ceremony site. We reached the top of the stairs and saw the whole layout....it was love at first sight. The alter opened to a view of the rolling hills and the natural beauty of the earth....it was definitely divine! Kathy informed us that Julie Spencer (the coordinator) is the person to get in contact with in regards to pricing and any other information we may need. You can bet that the next day, we left a message and the rest is history. Our first meeting with Julie was fantastic! From the day we decided to have our wedding at Black Gold, it has been a fabulous experience. Julie suggested great vendors and got back to us in a timely manner any time we had questions. The staff has been great to work with too. Always provided us with great customer service. Since our wedding, we have had family & friends compliment on how much they enjoyed Black Gold and our wedding was just simply BEAUTIFUL!!!
