We could not have asked for a better venue for our wedding. The estate is absolutely gorgeous, and the staff was magnificent. Our event coordinator, Mary, was the initial reason why we decided to go with Bonnet Island Estate for our wedding. She is incredible. Her attention to detail, communication, and just general positivity made our wedding day what it was. We could not have done it without her. She also helped put in place the staff that made our wedding day seamless. Our day-of coordinator, matire-d, bridal attendants, and overnight management were all so thoughtful, and knew exactly what to do with any issues that arose, leading to a completely stress free and joyous day for both myself and my husband. Additionally, the catering through Merri-Makers was top notch. We received so much positive feedback on the food and service. If you are considering Bonnet Island for your wedding, look no further! I cannot say enough about how incredible the venue and staff were for our daughter's recent wedding. The Bonnet Island Estate team guided us through every aspect of our daughter's wedding from the day we hired them throughout every second of her actual wedding day and post wedding day, and they did so with patience, smiles, and ease. We felt so pampered and assured. We have gotten only wonderful feedback about how much our guests enjoyed the food, the service, and being at such a beatiful location. Our daughter glowed with happiness the entire weekend as we felt completely taken care of in everyway. We cannot thank them enough for the incredible wedding that will remain in our hearts and minds forever.

I could not thank everyone enough at Bonnet Island for making our day so perfect and special to us!! They were amazing through out the whole planning process and helped me figure out so many little details that I didn't eve think of! I was always able to contact them and Andrea would get back to me right away. You can really tell they love what they do there. Anything I needed they had and on my wedding day there were always there making sure everything was going exactly how I envisioned. Even the next morning, everything from the venue was packed up and ready to go by the front door. They took the best care of us and our guests! I was told so many times by my guests that it was the best venue they had ever been to!

They were amazing through out the whole planning process and helped me figure out so many little details that I didn't eve think of! THE BEST DAY EVER. The entire Bonnet Island Estate property, the staff, the food and ambiance exceeded our expectations. We couldn't have asked for a better experience overall. The entire day was catered to us, what we wanted and loved and it just came out so perfectly. The staff was so helpful and knowledgeable, they were kind and accommodating and helped us through planning and the actual day seamlessly and with great attention to detail. The food was delicious and they catered to my celiac (gluten free) needs without hesitation. Our guests continue to reach out to us about how much they enjoyed themselves and how impressed they were...that is so meaningful to us. We have people coming to celebrate our love and we want them to be happy too. I could sit here and write for hours but all I can say is, if you're trying to make a decision and want to have the most beautiful, glowing, happy memories, choose Bonnet. Get the rooms, stay overnight, make the most of it. Life is short and we wouldn't have done anything differently. Cheers!

The entire wedding day was pure bliss and I am so thankful for the great Merri-Makers staff that put on the wedding of my dreams! The ceremony was exquisite, the food was mouth-watering and the party quite literally did not stop until after midnight. We got so many compliments and great comments from our guests that the servers were professional and our cocktail hour had some of the most delicious foods etc. One family member Terry even commented about how it seemed like some of the staff in particular were so passionate about the job and were so happy to be there he even offered one of the servers Sean a job in PA because he was so fantastic and always had a smile on his face no matter what he was doing. Things like that when you hear it from a family member make it even more worthwhile because when you have a group of people trying to make your day special it shows, and I am so glad that Merri-Makers put on my dream wedding.When it was time to walk down the aisle with our friends and loved ones beside us you can really see the beauty of it all & I would not choose another venue to have done this then at Bonnet Island. From the planning stages with our wedding coordinators to the great staff on the day of, it truly felt like the day went by so fast and I am still just reliving all the great memories with the notes and pictures taken on the day of from family. I absolutely hope I can come back and attend a wedding here as a guest in the future because it will always hold a special place in mine and my husband's heart.

Where to begin!? Bonnet Island was the very first venue we seriously toured, and while we did our due diligence by looking elsewhere, we knew it was the place instantly. From the setting to the design details to the stellar staff, everything was perfect.Andrea and her team at Weddings of Distinction took such good care of us. When we had to postpone by a full year due to COVID, they were incredibly flexible and let us transfer to a new date we felt more comfortable with. They were helpful with vendor recommendations but were also happy to work with new faces.Though we brought in our own independent weekend coordinator to help us out, Andrea still inspired confidence that she could have handled the whole weekend herself with her eyes closed — you'd be in great hands with just the Weddings of Distinction team. The whole team, from the bridal attendants (yay Jordan and Kayla!) to the maître d' to the overnight manager, was so great. If there were any logistical hiccups day of, we were blissfully unaware.Everyone hopes for perfect weather on their wedding day, but I think where Bonnet shone brightest might have been how it faired even on a sub-optimal day with a weather contingency. We had high winds, cloudy skies, and a sprinkle of rain for our October wedding day, but guests could enjoy the open-air, yet covered Boathouse Chapel ceremony and Veranda cocktail hour while still taking in the gorgeous waterfront views. We ended up with about 165 guests and an 11-piece band, all of which fit very comfortably in the ballroom. I understand the occupancy can go higher, but this was perfect for us — we filled the space but didn't feel overly crowded.We loved the overnight accommodations (all 12 on-site guest suites are OUT OF THIS WORLD and such a value add) and the fact that we had the full run of the property for an on-site after party. After many hours of dancing in the ballroom, we set up late-night karaoke in the main floor of the house, which went until the wee hours of the morning. The Bonnet/Weddings of Distinction team really helped our unique vision come to life and encouraged us to be creative with the space! Our guests keep saying it was the most beautiful setting for a wedding, and they're 100% right. For that, we can't thank the team at Bonnet enough!

Our daughter had her vow renewal in August this year after it was postponed due to Covid. We absolutely loved Bonnet Island Estate.! This was her dream reception. The venue is gorgeous. Very bright and airy inside due to all the large windows throughout. The detached chapel is beautiful in it’s simplicity. All the summer flowers were in bloom which we wanted! Our wedding planner ,Gianna ,made us feel very much at ease during the planning process most especially during Covid. Our maitre D Joanne was at our beckoning call for anything during the cocktail hour and reception. The food was excellent! Best wedding reception food I’ve ever eaten. Thank you Bonnet Island and staff for making our daughters reception exceptional. Oh and all our guests were very complimentary of this venue.

We just had our wedding at BIE and it was SPECTACULAR from start to finish. Mary is the best of the best and helped us plan the entire event from the moment we took a tour of BIE almost a year ago. She guided us through the entire process and bent over backwards to accommodate every request we had. The property itself is gorgeous, the food was excellent and the staff/service was exceptional - especially the day of the wedding. I was shocked at how many people were dedicated to taking care of myself, my husband and our immediate families. Our guests cannot stop talking about what an amazing wedding it was - I would get married there again if I could!!

We just had our wedding at BIE and it was SPECTACULAR from start to finish. Mary is the best of the best and helped us plan the entire event from the moment we took a tour of BIE almost a year ago. She guided us through the entire process and bent over backwards to accommodate every request we had. The property itself is gorgeous, the food was excellent and the staff/service was exceptional - especially the day of the wedding. I was shocked at how many people were dedicated to taking care of myself, my husband and our immediate families. Our guests cannot stop talking about what an amazing wedding it was - I would get married there again if I could!!

Bonnet Island Estate is the most PERFECT wedding venue! We knew as soon as we pulled in for our tour that this was the place for us. We were grated by Mary from Merri Makers during our tour and from that day forward Mary became our right hand girl for everything from start to finish. The venue speaks for itself, it is beautiful winter, spring, summer, fall- it truly is stunning. We rented the entire estate so our bridal party had a gorgeous room to stay in (with a view of course) the night of our wedding. The day of salon was a brides dream and the groomsman suite was the ultimate pre-game room for the big day. Not only is the venue perfect, the service is unmatched! Between Mary, the maîtres d, the kitchen staff, all the way down to the girl who held my dress as I walked around for pictures- the best of the best. They were all so nice, helpful, and accommodating. The food was insane! The staff made sure we both were able to try everything our cocktail hour had to offer. Overall our day was a dream come true. We can't thank Mary, Merri Makers, Bonnet Island, and the entire staff enough. I'd give 10 stars if I could. Thank you for making our day perfect!

We’ve gotten so many compliments on how perfect the venue was, from the romantic boathouse ceremony , to the pretty cocktail hour outside under the lights, and finally the absolutely beautiful reception space with the view of the boathouse behind it. Absolutely stunning! The groomsmen and my husband enjoyed the grooms room before the wedding and myself and my lady’s had so much fun getting ready in the bridal room! We would rate BIE 6 stars out of 5! We can’t say enough positive things about this place. In the months leading up to our wedding, despite having hundreds of weddings to keep track of at any given time, Mary and her team made us feel like we were their only client. Their execution on the day of was perfect, and we continue to hear unsolicited comments from friends and family that genuinely thought it was the nicest wedding that they had ever been to. The food was incredible — not just the lukewarm banquet food that you typically get at a wedding. We also really appreciated the outside vendors that BIE referred us to (eg Neptune Liquors and Mike’s Affordable Transportation), which were great to deal with and very professional.The chapel and water backdrop is perfect for pictures The only minor point to be aware of was that we used the cocktail hour room for our after party (which was super convenient because no one had to travel between the reception and after party) and they weren’t able to dim the lights. I think they do this for liability purposes. So was a little brighter than we would have liked it. Not a dealbreaker but wouldn’t want anyone to be surprised.

She was available 24/7 for every question we had during the planning process (many) and was always really patient with us. Ellie was absolutely incredible the day of. She was there every time we needed anything and such a true professional. Our bridal attendants, Lauren and Alyssa, were also so helpful. They anticipated all of our needs throughout the day and really made us feel taken care of. Bonnet is perfect for anyone looking for a waterfront venue that is unique, without having to worry about a single detail. The food was also amazing. Our guests are still raving about our wedding and Bonnet gave us the wedding of a lifetime!

Could not have picked a better venue! As soon as I saw Bonnett I knew i wanted to get married there. First, I loved that it was on the water. I loved that you could be outside if the weather was nice, but the wedding would not be ruined if it did rain. Luckily, we had nice fall weather. I had 175 people, which was perfect for the space. I also loved that the ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, and after-party was all in the same venue. Transitions were so nice and guests did not have to worry about going to multiple places. Everything flowed so nicely. Also pretty awesome that we had rooms right upstairs! Which was great after a very long day and night. All rooms are beautiful. Everyone we worked with at Bonnett was amazing. Andrea we worked with mostly to plan the wedding and she was easy to work with. On the wedding day, the wedding attendants were so friendly, helpful, and very attentive. They made the day basically stress free. Food was AMAZING. Received so many compliments on the food and the overall venue. Couldn't have been happier with the way things turned out. Bonnett made it the perfect night.

It's hard to put all of the emotions from such a big day into words. I had my wedding at Bonnet Island Estate just 2 weeks ago and it was the absolute most perfect day ever! You never know what weather you will get down LBI but everyone we worked with made all the extra efforts to make sure Bonnet looked beautiful and picture perfect after an abnormally long and harsh winter. Mary and Ellie were wonderful to work with leading up to my big day and ESPECIALLY on the day of the wedding. They were so professional and on top of all the details I wanted apart of my big day. It really made for a smooth and stress free wedding day. One of the assistants, Lauren, was by my side the entire day helping with anything needed and an absolute DREAM all day dealing with 2 large parties and all the wedding day craziness. Lauren was the best!! My guests could not stop raving about the food and staying overnight at the estate with our bridal/groom party was one of the best parts of our evening. Bonnet Island is beautiful in itself. The Boathouse Chapel can be decorated to each bride's vision and there is so much charm down LBI. Bonnet will forever carry a special place in our hearts and we haven't stopped getting texts and calls about how wonderful of a time our guests had. I would HIGHLY recommend Bonnet for future weddings!

Dream wedding is an understatement. For years I told my family and friends that I would get married at Bonnet Island Estate, not ever thinking I would. My family and I knew the minute we walked in for the tour with Mary, from Merri-Makers, that this had to be our wedding venue. It was so beautiful by itself there wasn’t much left to do besides show up! Mary was definitely an added bonus. She was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. The day of the wedding went so smoothly. I was weary about a Friday wedding but being able to get into the estate by 10am made the day feel less rushed and allowed us to relax before the big event. Ellie and Colleen were AMAZING and were there for us every step of the way that day. Most importantly our wedding was a lot of fun. We felt like everything came together perfectly with the help of the staff. We have gotten so many compliments about the entire day. Everything from the beautiful venue, the delicious food, to the amazingly attentive staff. We cannot thank you enough for making our day one that not only we will remember but one that our guests will be talking about for years to come! We stopped by a few days after the big day to pick up a few things. As we left we were told to come back to visit anytime and come take anniversary and family pictures because we are now part of the Bonnet Island Family.

Dream wedding is an understatement. For years I told my family and friends that I would get married at Bonnet Island Estate, not ever thinking I would. My family and I knew the minute we walked in for the tour with Mary, from Merri-Makers, that this had to be our wedding venue. It was so beautiful by itself there wasn’t much left to do besides show up! Mary was definitely an added bonus. She was so helpful throughout the entire planning process. The day of the wedding went so smoothly. I was weary about a Friday wedding but being able to get into the estate by 10am made the day feel less rushed and allowed us to relax before the big event. Ellie and Colleen were AMAZING and were there for us every step of the way that day. Most importantly our wedding was a lot of fun. We felt like everything came together perfectly with the help of the staff. We have gotten so many compliments about the entire day. Everything from the beautiful venue, the delicious food, to the amazingly attentive staff. We cannot thank you enough for making our day one that not only we will remember but one that our guests will be talking about for years to come! We stopped by a few days after the big day to pick up a few things. As we left we were told to come back to visit anytime and come take anniversary and family pictures because we are now part of the Bonnet Island Family.

We had an absolutely fairytale wedding at Bonnet Island this past June! From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we knew we had to have our wedding there. The grounds and the estate speak for themselves - it is rustic and beachy, but elegant and formal at the same time. Not only is the place beautiful, but the staff is AMAZING! Mary and Ellie were so accommodating - they made sure all of our visions came to life and everything was perfect! The food is also to die for - many of of guests are foodies and can be very difficult to please, but we've received nothing but the highest compliments! We rented the rooms and had an after party at the estate, which I highly recommend to anyone considering having their wedding at BIE. The day went by so fast, so it was so nice to have the time to enjoy the estate all night long with family and friends and to have breakfast there the next day. We could not be happier with our choice to have the wedding at BIE and wish we could go back and do it all again! Thank you to Merri Makers to being so amazing and helping us create the wedding of our dreams! You guys are the absolute BEST!

Perfect wedding day. Pricey, but you get what you pay for. I didn't have to lift a finger or worry about a single thing - Andrea, Cody and Ellie had me covered. The grounds are gorgeous (even with a chilly spring) and did not need special lighting or extraordinary floral arrangements as it was beautiful in itself. This venue was absolutely stunning and worth every penny (lots of them!). We have received non-stop compliments on our venue and just how beautiful and perfect it was. From the beginning of the planning process through the morning after our wedding, the staff was organized, professional and often knew what I needed even before I had thought of it. Mary, Ellie and Jess are amazing and really made our day so special and stress free. \r\rYes, the venue is pricey, but if you can afford it, it is the prefect beach wedding setting and the staff is the best there is in the business. \r\rWe spent our wedding day truly enjoying the party we had planned rather then chasing around vendors, worrying about timetables and other details of the day. Mary, Ellie and Jess made our day so enjoyable. I can't recommend this place and the staff enough. Top notch service, wonderful food and an amazing setting!

We held our daughter's June 13th wedding at Bonnet Island. The staff at Bonnet took care of every detail from the ceremony in the Boathouse Chapel to the last seconds of the reception. They were so courteous and attentive. The new salon on the main floor allowed the bridal party to be comfortable and gave the hair stylists plenty of room to work. Our friends and family could not get over the quality and quantity of the food. We kept hearing, \"This is not wedding food. This is five-star restaurant food.\" The romantic ambiance made the day so special not only for my daughter and son-in-law but for all the guests. I am forever grateful to Bonnet Island for giving my family such an amazing experience that we will always cherish.

My husband and I got married this past April, 2015, at Bonnet Island Estate...I would highly recommend to anyone looking for delicious food, a beautiful venue with amazing water views, and an intimate quaint boathouse/chapel, which adds to the ambiance of your wedding...Merri Makers caterers do an excellent job! Mary R. was excellent to work with in the months leading to the wedding...we were invited down at any given time to look around, get ideas, ask questions...She was like having a best friend that I knew I could rely on for help! The food was incredible and delicious, from cocktail hour to dinner...They also give your guests fresh baked cookies and coffee upon their departure...We opted to book the 24 rooms as well...absolutely awesome to be able to check in, get ready there, have an after party, and then meet for breakfast in the morning! Special thanks also to Elle, Jessica, and the entire staff at Bonnet...everyone was so pleasant, and hospitable...We would highly recommend to anyone who wants a truly memorable wedding!!!

The chapel and estate are breathtakingly beautiful and make for great photos. I strongly recommend utilizing the overnight estate rooms to help ensure your party never ends. This allows to have a brunch at the estate the next day which is a nice finishing touch to the weekend. As for the staff and service - they were absolutely outstanding. Upon the grand opening of Bonnet Island Estate, I went on a tour with my family of it when I was about 12 years old. I remember being dazzled by it at the time... but never would I have imagined I would one day have my very own wedding here. It was the key to our \"fairy tale\" wedding we were looking for. It is a combination of rustic, elegance, and class. It is simply stunning, from the interior decorations, the ambiance, the outdoor grounds with flowers in every direction, and views of the Barnegat Bay and LBI. The staff is outstanding and were ALWAYS available to answer any and all of my questions throughout the wedding planning process. Always polite, prompt, and friendly. The service on the day of the wedding was outstanding as well. My husband and I felt like a king and queen :) Once you step foot inside to check out Bonnet Island Estate.... you will see for yourself what I am talking about. My husband and our families still can't believe we actually had our wedding reception there!!! It was the perfect start to our happily ever after.

I had my wedding at Bonnet and it was absolutely AMAZING. My guests could not stop talking about the food or the venue for weeks afterwards. I am so happy I was lucky enough to get married there. Everything at the venue is simply stunning and thought out perfectly. The staff was wonderful, I was sick the day of my wedding and they made sure to get me whatever I needed. Mary and Ellie were extra wonderful; Mary was always there throughout the planning to answer any and all questions that I had.\r\rI would HIGHLY recommend Bonnet, your wedding will be sure to stand out from the rest!! It is also a great value compared to other venues that are the same price and do not provide as many amenities as Bonnet.

I knew I wanted to get married at Bonnet Island Estate 10 years ago. I was working for a newspaper down in Manahawkin and I remember going to the media tour of the opening of the Estate. I remember walking into the boathouse chapel and saying to my coworker, \"This is where I am going to get married.\" Many years later, I did. During our wedding, a young girl named Meghan was assigned to follow me around to help me with anything I needed. She was with me most of the day. She was so great and friendly! And everyone I had dealt with at Bonnet from inquiring about dates to a follow-up email after the wedding was very helpful. Brides who are looking to book with Bonnet should check out the prices on their website, and remember that everything is booked separate, such as the caterer (you must use Merri-Makers), liquor, etc. But once you take a tour of the place, nothing else will compare. Take it from a girl who visited Bonnet 10 years ago and didn't look at any other reception sites when she finally got engaged.

The staff at BIE were all amazing to work with and so friendly. The site is so gorgeous, its hard to ask for / find a prettier location. I got married here in September 2013 and everything went flawlessly. The staff made sure everything was set up correctly and things happened on time, the food was amazing (MerriMakers), and I could not have asked more! It was a very memorable day that I will cherish forever!

Bonnet Island Estate is stunningly beautiful- the barn/chapel which was moved from VT, the gorgeous 3-tiered veranda for cocktail hour on the water, and the non-cheesy reception room with a vaulted tongue and groove wood ceiling- all make for quite a backdrop!!! This IS the place to have a destination wedding without being too far from home. Ellie, Ginny and Mary from Bonnet Island Estate made sure that the property was in tip-top shape, that Italian and Greek flags were flying, that the guest rooms and chapel were clean, and that all of the long dining tables were set perfectly, even with my very intricate seating plan and nearly 500 floating candles! There was no Friday evening wedding the weekend of our event, so even with a Church wedding 45 minutes away, my husband and I were able to get into Bonnet early and get ready at the property- super convenient and made for beautiful photo opportunities. The staff made sure that sandwiches and drinks were distributed during this getting ready time. Staff did a wonderful job of orchestrating all of the vendors starting the day before our wedding and making sure that traffic- including our 3 buses and special car- flowed smoothly on the big day. Bonnet assigned a waitress just for my husband and I, who was amazing and really helped us gain access to drinks and hors d’oeuvres amidst the excitement. There was only one small thing I would have changed. We had asked the staff to set up 150 mini champagne bottles (and a few bottles of non-alcoholic lemonade) around a flower arrangement on a table in the center of the chapel for when guests first arrived. Each champagne bottle was to be opened and outfitted with a gold straw. This was an expensive endeavor meant to create visual impact for the photographer and to be a special welcome from our family, who is in the wine & spirits business. Unfortunately, there was only a scattering of opened and unopened champagne bottles and lemonade bottles on the table when my friends arrived and two cases of the mini champagne bottles were never opened or used- which meant a third of our guests missed out. All in all, I would definitely have my wedding at Bonnet Island Estate again- the staff is warm and accommodating, guest rooms are luxurious and meticulously clean and everyone went out of their way to make our wedding a special day. We were lucky enough to have gorgeous spring weather, but even on the rainiest or coldest of days, Bonnet Island Estate would make you feel like a princess and would be a perfect wedding venue.

Bonnet assigned a waitress just for my husband and I, who was amazing and really helped us gain access to drinks and hors d’oeuvres amidst the excitement. There was only one small thing I would have changed. We had asked the staff to set up 150 mini champagne bottles (and a few bottles of non-alcoholic lemonade) around a flower arrangement on a table in the center of the chapel for when guests first arrived. Each champagne bottle was to be opened and outfitted with a gold straw. This was an expensive endeavor meant to create visual impact for the photographer and to be a special welcome from our family, who is in the wine & spirits business. Unfortunately, there was only a scattering of opened and unopened champagne bottles and lemonade bottles on the table when my friends arrived and two cases of the mini champagne bottles were never opened or used- which meant a third of our guests missed out. All in all, I would definitely have my wedding at Bonnet Island Estate again- the staff is warm and accommodating, guest rooms are luxurious and meticulously clean and everyone went out of their way to make our wedding a special day. We were lucky enough to have gorgeous spring weather, but even on the rainiest or coldest of days, Bonnet Island Estate would make you feel like a princess and would be a perfect wedding venue.

Loved BIE - was the PERFECT venue to have our wedding. The service was fantastic and Laura from Merri Makers was always available to meet with us or answer questions. We received many, many compliments from our guests that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I would highly recommend renting the estate for the night, it was so nice to get ready there and flow right into the after-party. The only issue we had was that we kept finding the door to the bridal room downstairs open... and sometimes guests in there as the estate lends itself to people \"exploring\" the different rooms. We had many valuables in the room - I would recommend that you ask for this room to be locked and for a key to the room. Everything else was top notch.

The Estate was a gorgeous place to have our wedding. We loved the view and the atmosphere. The staff was, for the most part, friendly, but could have been a little more helpful throughout the planning process. For the amount of money spent on having the Estate for your event, we felt that they should have been a little more involved throughout the entire process, not just on the day of. Otherwise, the staff took care of us pretty well.

Bonnet Island Estate was the ideal wedding location. The ceremony location in the boathouse chapel was perfect and romantic - a great indoor/outdoor feel. The reception room is the most beautiful wedding room I have ever seen! We loved the high ceilings and large picture windows. The rest of the estate and the suites made our wedding perfect! We would recommend this site to anyone!

Everything should also be written down - for example - my runner wasn't put down at the ceremony and my ring bearers didn't have their pillows. It was still amazing though.

I love that Bonnet Island is elegant and classy without being too 'frou frou'. It's the perfect backdrop to an elegant seaside wedding. It was also great having the whole venue to ourselves including the 12 beautiful state rooms that our VIP guests were able to slumber in. It's truly a beautiful magical place and I'm so I happy that I have the memory of being married at such a unique venue.;It is pricey but completely worth it.

It was an estate situated on the breathetaking bay with beautiful gardens. You and your guests were at liberty to walk around the grounds and enjoy the scenery. The sunset was the most beautiful I had ever saw.;In order to take full advantage of the venue the weather must be nice. Although the masion itself is exquisite, I don't believe you would get your moneysworth if you have a rainy wedding day.
