A central Indiana venue, Boondocks Barn & Lodge is located on Montgomery Creek Ranch in Knightstown, Indiana only 30 minutes east of Indianapolis. Conveniently located 1/2 mile off of I-70, it offers privacy and rustic beauty. The only Venue where you and your entourage can spend the entire weekend! Access our stunning bridal suites as early as 8 am on your wedding day or if you choose a Wedding Weekend, you will have access to the Lodge, Venue Space, and Suites on Friday beginning at 11 am. Stunning wildflower fields offer a dramatic backdrop for summer weddings and the beautiful woodline with fall colors capture your ceremony with amazing photography. For those who choose to have their ceremony inside the venue, our stone fireplace is a stunning backdrop as well.

Beautiful venue, unfortunately the owner of the venue is extremely unprofessional. The whole experience was horrendous. Changing things without notice or missing details/items, even though it was agreed upon. Restrooms are absolutely horrible. No warning about the millions of bugs. And so on and so on.Denise, also the owner of Montgomery Creek Ranch LLC, doesn’t take any responsibility for her actions and puts it on everyone else. Of course, for PR purposes she’ll leave a “sincere apology” reply to negative reviews for the public to see, but her replies where the public can’t see are belittling, blame shifting, and unprofessional.

Beautiful flower field, and nice lodge... but that's about the only nice things I have to say. If I could have my wedding done over again, I would have gotten married in my father-in-laws back yard.

The whole crew at Boonedocks made my wedding weekend effortless and relaxing. The staff was spot on. They run a great organization there! I couldn't have had such a perfect day without Holly, Denise, and Tatum. As I did a lot of DIY for the wedding they helped give me a lot of advise. I used some of their recommended vendors which is so great to do local small town people who care!

The whole crew at Boonedocks made my wedding weekend effortless and relaxing. The staff was spot on. They run a great organization there! I couldn't speak more highly of Boondocks Barn! From the gorgeous venue to the absolutely amazing staff, it is the best wedding venue for any bride. My husband and I got married at Boondocks on May 28th, 2023 and it was the most perfect day. I am fully confident it would not have gone near as smoothly without the staff working to make sure everything is taken care of and you get exactly what you need and want. Denise, tatum, holly, and pretty much everyone at the venue cares for you, is compassionate, and hard working. We are forever grateful for this place and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone! My husband and I got married at Boondocks June 17th 2023 and it was everything we’ve ever dreamed of, beautiful venue and so many beautiful spots to take photos, Tatum and Holly were on top of everything and always making sure we had everything we needed, Holly even sewed up a rip in my dress and had me back on the dance floor in no time. We also didn’t have to worry about clean up, they took care of everything for us! Could not have asked for a better experience 10/10!!

My husband and I got married at Boondocks June 17th 2023 and it was everything we’ve ever dreamed of, beautiful venue and so many beautiful spots to take photos, Tatum and Holly were on top of everything and always making sure we had everything we needed, Holly even sewed up a rip in my dress and had me back on the dance floor in no time. My husband and I were married out at Boondocks on April 29, 2023. We began searching for the perfect place to celebrate the beginning of new chapter in our lives about 10 months out from the time of year we were planning to get married. When we first arrived at farm both Denise and Tatum were kind, knowledgeable in the industry and professional. They took us throughout the property and we fell in love with it. Throughout the entire planning process they made themselves available for any questions I had and offered recommendations as well. They truly made the entire process virtually stress free. Fast forward to our wedding day. Getting married in Indiana in April leaves the possibility for changing weather but they ensured we kept things moving and we were able to obtain the majority of photos and other things we were hoping to have done. The staff that was present for the ceremony kept all areas clean and tidy. All staff seemed mote like additional guests at the wedding, mingling with family and making each person they came in contact with feel seen and welcome. I would recommend to anyone looking to book any event to do so at Boondocks. You will not regret it!Thank you all again for everything!The Petrey Family

Our daughter's wedding was on New Year's Eve 2022. Her dream was to have an outdoor, winter wedding (in central Indiana!) Denise, Tatum, and the other staff at the venue helped us make that dream come true, along with answered prayers for weather. Not only do you get the use of a beautiful barn venue, but the staff helps you plan the event and timeline, and then execute your plan. They are with you throughout the entire experience, and the event was fully staffed all day and evening. All vendors are instructed to see staff with questions as opposed to the parents or bride and groom. Parking, shuttling, keeping restrooms stocked, and trash emptied, were all handled by the staff, who are present for the duration of the event. The grounds are gorgeous, like a state park. There is a lodge that sleeps 20 with a huge farm kitchen, game room, and pool available for rent as well. A heating system was added this year to allow for cold weather events. The one downfall is that there is no running water at the event barn, which means no kitchen, making it a little harder on catering but doable. Restrooms are trailer (heated, flushing, sinks with water) at this time. It is a fantastic place for events for your cost considering all that is included. I can't say enough positive about the staff, especially Denise who worked very closely with us.

The venue itself is beautiful; however, for the price one pays for it, there is little to no effort put in by the venue owner - you are on your own. We were informed the day before we were to decorate for our wedding that he no longer had the wooden rounds he had promised we could use for our table centerpieces. We also only even saw the owner one time during the whole two days of our rental of his property. Who also failed to have the bathroom water or lights on for our rehearsal dinner. Overall, the owner proved himself to be a poor communicator and unreliable. That being said, our wedding was beautiful.

I married my husband, Eric, on August 3, 2013 at Boondocks Farms in Knightstown, IN. It was absolutely the most beautiful day of my life. I would recommend Boondocks Farms to everyone. \rThis is such a special day and to get married and know that everything is taken care of and everything is so beautiful, it truly was the best day of my life.\rI cannot thank Boondocks Farms enough for everything they did for me and for Eric. \rYou will not regret choosing Boondocks Farm as your venue. The scenery is beautiful no matter what time of year you choose to get married. The fall colors are amazing!
