Rustic, Modern Event Space in Boone County
Boone County Distilling Company is a wedding venue located in Independence, KY, just 20 minutes away from Cincinnati. The distillery expanded to include an event center where locals and visitors alike can celebrate special occasions. As part of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour, the versatile space offers couples and their guests an authentic taste of the region. Offering an inviting atmosphere, Boone County Distilling Company consists of a number of unique, versatile event spaces. For celebrations with up to 150 people, to-be-weds are welcome to host in the WhiteHall Ballroom. Another indoor option, the Barrel Room, offers up to 20 guests a one-of-a-kind experience. Shaped like an actual bourbon barrel and stocked with the distillery’s finest spirits as well as options from our full bar F&W Bar, the space is sure to impress newlyweds and their loved ones. For outdoor celebrations, couples can create timeless memories with their nearest and dearest on the Veranda. This covered porch is framed by leafy landscaping and offers a relaxing, cozy ambiance for engagement parties, showers, and receptions with small guest lists. Each space can be adjusted to fit a number of different layout configurations, depending on your vision. More intimate, casual gatherings can enjoy bourbon along with a full line of spririts at the venue’s F&W Bar. Named after one of the venue’s early owners from 1833, it provides a sophistocatedly rustic, charming atmosphere where loved ones can create long-lasting memories together. When celebrating at Boone County Distilling Company you can avail of a number of helpful services and modern amenities. A devoted on-site event coordinator will be there to support you throughout the planning process, managing venue and vendor details. So that you can spend more time with guests, the attentive team will be there to set up and clean up your event space. Tables and chairs will be provided and can be arranged to your liking. We have 3 preferred catering teams that are welcome to utilize the on-site kitchen for a seamless dining experience on the big day. For the convenience of you and your guests, the venue features ample on-site parking.

Susan and her team were a true joy to work with. Susan was an excellent communicator the entire time we were planning our wedding and she was constantly going above and beyond to make sure our day felt special to us. The Boone County Distilling staff day of could not have been more attentive and amazing, they were constantly checking in on us, were so kind to us and all of our guests, just the best. We would highly recommend Boone County Distilling for your big day, it is the perfect venue!

Susan and her team were a true joy to work with. We fell in love with this venue from the start! We wanted a rustic vibe & also happen to be bourbon lovers. We loved that we were allowed to take some photos in their rick house & in the actual back of the distillery. We even set up a private tasting the night before at our rehearsal for our wedding party. It was so much fun! Our wedding party enjoyed it as well. We wanted something different than the usual typical boring rehearsal. We worked with Susan up until our wedding day. We worked with Megan on our actual wedding day. Both were great! The entire staff here seems to really care & love what they do. Our wedding was so beautiful. Our ceremony was outside on their patio. Despite being in an industrial area, you would never guess it. It felt so private. The landscaping is amazing; so perfect for a rustic wedding. Everything was as they promised. The entire process was seamless & very reasonably priced. We had awesome bartenders & used their barrel room to put our buffet in which is just a really cool room. It’s round with charred wood on the walls. Our buffet line moved quickly because of how they set it up; it was great. I could go on & on but suggest you see for yourself. You’ll be happy you did!

This is the perfect place to have your wedding! It's so beautiful & everyone is so nice. We could not have asked for a smoother wedding experience. Our guests loved the space so much that 2 of our friends are going to getting married here as well! We can't wait to get all of our wedding photos...we saw some shots taken in the building where they store the bourbon & they are amazing! Everything was so perfect. We had our ceremony outside on their patio & reception indoors. The entire staff has a passion for what they do & it shows. We seriously could not have asked for a better venue.

This is the perfect place to have your wedding! It's so beautiful & everyone is so nice. We could not have asked for a smoother wedding experience. Our guests loved the space so much that 2 of our friends are going to getting married here as well! After looking at several venues, we chose this one. So glad we did! Susan always took the time to answer our questions & often times gave us information before we even had to ask. We felt very relaxed throughout the entire process. She made everything so easy. We worked with Megan on our wedding day. She & the bar staff were incredible! The venue is so beautiful. We had an outdoor wedding in July. The patio landscaping was just SO pretty. All our guests raved about it! If you want the perfect place to have your wedding this is the place. Who doesn't want to have there wedding at a Distillery?! We had been eyeing this place for a couple years before we were even engaged while on a bourbon tour visit. We spoke to Susan at that point who took the time to go over some of the details with us and all of this even before we were able to give her a commitment of a time or day. The patio is a fantastic spot to have your ceremony and then being able to move right in for the reception was clutch. It's not far off the highway and which was great for the guest. The Barrel room is so beautiful and was great for having the buffet in. Being able to have some barrels around for décor was a nice touch! All of this and all for a reasonable and affordable price! Thanks Boone County for helping make our day so special!

We had our wedding here. As soon as we seen this place I knew this was the one. The rustic vibes the bourbon. Everything went beautifully and smooth. The backdrop was amazing. We were able to take pictures in the barrel room. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day.

We couldn’t have hoped last night’s wedding rehearsal dinner could have gone any better. It was so nice to hang out for a few hours and have family and friends chat, unwind and relax. It’s wonderful to see the so many people who love and support Michelle and Matthew as they begin married life. We are all now looking forward to the nuptials tomorrow and being thankful that the rain is here today and will be moving out before the wedding day.I must give a shout out to Boone County Distilling Company. We held our event here and from start to finish, this place and their staff could not have been more amazing. Susan Wells communicated with me on a regular basis to be sure that all our needs were met. Our event bartender, Nicole, was just incredible! She was classy, fun, personable and an excellent bartender. I can’t say enough good stuff about her!! All of their staff have a great attention to detail and really went above and beyond for our event. The decor, bar and event area (they even have an outside area and are dog and kid friendly) are just perfect. How did I not know about this hidden gem right here, minutes from my house? So get the word out, if you’re looking for a great place for and event or gathering or even to plan a tour, I can’t recommend Boone County Distilling Company enough. (No, I don’t work for them, it was just a really great experience)Secondly, I want to shout out to Lother’s Catering. First I must say that Lother’s Catering catered our wedding 32 years ago, I heard it was great, but I don’t even remember having time to eat at my own wedding. LOL! We chose Lother’s for this event and the food and service were impeccable! Beth was our service person and she was just the best and handled everything perfectly. Every guest raved about how good the food was, especially the Bourbon Chicken…. Just delicious! I know it sounds like a sales pitch. But so often we only share reviews to complain. We didn’t have one complaint last night, so I thought it was important to share this too! Thanks to everyone who made our event stress free and perfect.

The venue itself is beautiful. Tons of rustic and industrial accents that we were looking for. This was totally our vibe. However, I believe it was more suited for a rehearsal dinner or smaller wedding (fewer than 100 people.) Our current guest list was 150 people. Initially, my fiancé and I viewed the venue and absolutely fell in love with it. The owner, Susan, made it seem like the venue was going fast and we needed to put the deposit down to hold our spot. We are completely new at this since neither of us have been married before so we jumped at the chance and put half of the venue price down. $1,800+. We were ASSURED that the venue held 150 people. Once we received floor plans for the ceremony and reception, we realized that the space would not accommodate what we had envisioned, and our guests would pretty much be on top of each other. We ultimately decided to cancel. The contract said the cancellation policy amount was the entire deposit so obviously we never got that money back per what the contract stated. Weddings are expensive as it is so this didn't help our already dwindling budget. The owner, Susan, is NOT friendly at all. She treated us as less than because we didn't have the budget that I feel she wanted us to have. I would NEVER go here and work with her again. Before we cancelled we looked up the 5 options for caterers and none of them were in our budget by any means. When we asked for another option, she got very snobby with us and gave us one that \"might be within our budget.\" If you do end up choosing this venue, PLEASE work with Nicolette instead. (If she still works there.) She is a complete 180 from the owner and totally gets being on a budget. She was a sweetheart and took care of everything we needed and then some, but we just couldn't make it happen.

This place was absolutely wonderful and the staff was fantastic! We pick this venue in the middle of winter with a fall wedding date in mind. I worked with Susan and Nicolette for the wedding and they were both fantastic! Everything ran so smoothly, everything turned out beautiful, and I highly recommend this venue! Wedding planning is stressful so having Nicolette as a coordinator was so helpful! She listened to every concern I had, she arranged everything to be perfect for me, and she even went dumpster diving because I threw something away on accident. I am forever grateful to her for making my day feel special and for allowing my day to be all about my husband and I! The venue was also amazing and beautiful! We hardly had to decorate anything because the venue is wonderful on its own. The flowers were perfect and in bloom. The flowers also made for a wonderful backdrop for my pictures. There aren’t any rooms to get ready in but that wasn’t a big deal for us. We ended up bringing a trailer in for the guys to get ready in and the girls took a limo there. It worked out perfectly.
