We had our wedding at the Marriott Long Wharf October 7 2023 and everything was absolutely perfect from start to finish. Meg Garruto is a true gem and was a dream to work with! We were actually booked at another venue and after some issues we decided we needed to find another venue and actually booked Long Wharf site unseen. Our original venue not working our was the biggest blessing in disguise. The attention to details and the accessibility to answer any questions we had was above and beyond. There was absolutely no stress in wedding planning thanks to Meg and her team. We also were so impressed with the food! From the cocktail hour to late night snacks everything was perfect. Our guests have been raving about the service and the food for the past week! The location of the hotel and the views are worth booking for alone. If you are looking to book a Boston area hotel for your wedding I would seriously consider booking long wharf before it’s too late! We are already looking into visiting for our one year anniversary (and we are not locals!) because we love the hotel so much! Reviewed on 15-10-2023
Sarah Grace(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-08-2022 The Marriott Long Wharf was the PERFECT location for our August 2022 wedding. From our initial conversations with them all the way through the wedding, the events staff were incredibly professional and made us feel so special throughout. We had an extended engagement due to the pandemic, and worked with multiple event planners, but each one was wonderful to work with, and each handoff was handled impeccably. In the final stretch leading up to the wedding, we worked with Alex Garabed (Director Of Event Planning), who was highly communicative, flexible with specific and last-minute requests, and coordinated all of our details and vendors wonderfully. She went above and beyond, leaving champagne and strawberries in our hotel suite at the end of the evening, and ensuring that our floral centerpieces were saved to decorate the brunch space the next morning. On our wedding day, the service was perfect, the cocktail hour incredible (we highly recommend checking out the Harbor View Terrace), and the reception was amazing. Our guests really enjoyed the uniqueness of the venue and that they had the option of spending time indoors on the dance floor or outdoors enjoying the fire pits and harbor views throughout the reception. The food - from the tasting to the wedding day - was also absolutely delicious. The wedding suite overlooked the harbor and made us feel so special. From the beautiful venue, to the downtown Boston location near public transportation and many attractions, the comfortable accommodations, and the incredible service we and our guests experienced all weekend, we couldn’t be happier with our choice. Molly Naeger(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 04-06-2022 Would give them 10 stars if I could!! From the initial inquiry to the tasting to the communication to the event itself, everything was spectacular. The venue itself is breathtaking with beautiful guest accommodations to grand lobby to view over the Boston Harbor. Our event manager was so thoughtful and kind and very quick to respond to emails; overall amazing to work with. She made us feel like our wedding was her #1 priority at all times. The food was mouthwatering...our guests said it was not only the best wedding meal they've ever had, but one of the best meals overall they've ever had. Our out-of-town guests loved how it was close to everything and had the quintessential Boston feel. If you're looking for a venue in the heart of Boston, this is it!! Reviewed on 22-06-2022
Natasha Pereira(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-09-2021 Amazing service and breathtaking location. Like many couples, our wedding was postponed as a result of COVID. We had an awful experience with our first venue – the Lakeview Pavilion – and decided we would not be going back. In searching for a new venue, we looked into the Boston Marriott Long Wharf and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was to our liking and that we felt valued and special during this important milestone. For example, during the tasting we tried various entrees and were not limited to only 2 choices. The chef and sous chef also came out at each round to tell us about the dishes and hear our feedback. Also, the manager of the hotel came to ensure we were doing well. We felt like celebrities. This outstanding experience was in large part due to our amazing wedding coordinator Carolina Bermudez. She is exceptional. She was always available to answer our many questions and responded promptly with solutions, suggestions, and positivity. She was a valuable brainstorming partner and provided honest opinions on how to make our day what we had envisioned. She managed the event itself without a hitch, making sure everything was flowing smoothly and that we always had everything we needed. She was like superwoman always anticipating what would be needed next. In addition to her superior skills in coordinating the event, Carolina brought a kindness and joy that made it so wonderful to work with her. She loves what she does and is invested in the couples she works with. We could not have asked for a better partner in planning this wedding. We loved it, our guests loved it and it was perfect. The only reason that we did not get married here was because of traveling family. Fell in love with the Marriott. I have stayed there a number of times and fully caught it's beauty when I saw the rooms. The staff was all so accommodating and communicative. They stuck with us through the whole process and were a pleasure to work with. My fiance and I definitely had to grieve when we made the decision to get married closer to home! The only note I would say is that you don't get as much bang for your buck as you do at other venues, but that is not uncommon for the Boston area - especially waterfront views. I would recommend offering an appetizer with both your packages at the reception. That would have helped us reel in our moms LOL! Reviewed on 07-01-2020

Jami Johnsen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-04-2016 Despite an initial wish to use a less \"traditional\" venue, I could not be happier with my choice to get married at the Marriott Long Wharf. When I first saw the Harbor View ballroom I fell in love. The semicircular shape that meant every table was a good table and everyone was just steps from the dance floor. The floor to ceiling windows overlooking the harbor. The private deck. We also picked the Palm Garden room for our ceremony. That ceiling! The staff was amazing. Christen was our initial coordinator and then Alyssa took over. Both were super responsive to emails and questions and made me feel totally at ease. The wedding weekend itself was perfect. The bridal suite was the nicest hotel room I have ever seen (and made our honeymoon hotel suite look a little sad). There was wine and cheese waiting in our parents rooms. On the day of the wedding, they surprised me with a mimosa bar in my room for the bridesmaids and me. The event ran flawlessly. If there were any hiccups, they were handled quietly by Alyssa and her team and nothing made it to me. The waitstaff practically stalked me and my husband to make sure that we ate and always had our drink of choice. I mentioned that I liked tacos and they literally followed me around cocktail hour with the taco tray. The food was amazing. Multiple comments about it being the best wedding food ever. Cannot recommend this venue highly enough. One small caveat: they say the HarborView fits 146. I suspect it would feel a little crowded. We had 93 and it was perfect. Groups up to 125ish should be fine. Reviewed on 09-05-2016

The accomondations exceeded our expectations and made our guests feel beyond welcome. They took my vision and truly made it a reality which was more than I could have ever hoped for. The food and service was amazing and delicious for that matter. We never worried about anything and every request we had was taken care of. If we ever did it again we would for sure be going back. Alexandra Barrasso(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-07-2015 We couldn't have picked a better venue for our wedding this past summer. Every single member of the Boston Marriott Long Wharf team went above and beyond and could not have been easier, or more pleasant, to work with. We worked with Mary Kate in the beginning, then had Shannon and Elizabeth on our team for the rest of the planning stages through execution. All 3 of these ladies were outstanding and really helped make our day run smoothly. You can rest assured that your day will be perfect if these ladies are on your team.\r\rAs for the venue itself, the location, service, and overall experience is incredible. Our room was overlooking the harbor; the outdoor terrace is perfect for cocktail hour, or some fresh air during the evening. The room itself is stunning and really lends itself to an upscale, but still fun atmosphere for a wedding. We scoped out many venues that seemed to be dark and dreary, but this could never be the case in such a grand room - it was truly spectacular. If we were to pick a downside, it would be that the room only held 146 people, exactly. We had a difficult time paring down our guest list, so we would have wished for a few more seats. Other than that, there are no complaints whatsoever.\r\rThe value you get at the Marriott is also a reason to check this place out. We looked at a few waterfront venues in Boston and beyond. After comparing them all, we found the Marriott to be quite reasonable and that, paired with the service and quality you receive, absolutely made it the best choice for us overall. We still have people raving to us about the waitstaff and bartenders - they could not have been any more accommodating and pleasant.\r\rLast thing we wanted to point out was the food. It was, hands down, the best meal we have ever had at a wedding. Although we might be seen as a bit biased, we are trying to be as objective as possible. The food was hot, on time, and absolutely delicious. We truly felt that every single penny was well spent here and are so glad we made the Marriott our #1 choice.\r\rOur only hope for the future is that we can someday be wedding guests at the Marriott Long Wharf to experience an event like that all over again. We could not have asked for anything more and would recommend the Marriott to anyone and everyone looking for a sophisticated, modern, and reliable venue at an incredible value. Our wedding at the Marriott Long Wharf was a dream from start to finish. The staff was attentive, responsive, and fun to work with, from the first contact with sales (Mary Kate Sibley is phenomenal!) all the way through the event planning process (Sara Costello and Carolyn Sans took great care of us). We were planning a wedding while living out of the area, and the staff made it a breeze, worked with our schedule, and helped us to find the few additional vendors we needed. I never worried about any of the details, and they promptly responded to every question I had. By the way, the food was fabulous, and many of our guests said it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. The hotel location allowed all of our guests to explore Boston; it's convenient to walk around Faneuil Hall, the North End, the Greenway, and more. We took pictures outside with the harbor as a scenic backdrop. I can't say enough positive things about our experience, and the overall price was incredibly reasonable given the great location and service. We made memories to last a lifetime here! Our Hindu/Christian wedding was orchestrated by the Director of Event Planning, Joseph Souza. We had many unique requests and all details were executed flawlessly. Joe and the amazing staff at the MLW were able to help us express the blending of cultures through our ceremony and food. Chef Dunton prepared a scrumptious meal with Indian components and main dishes. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the food. The reception space will speak for itself. Kristen Klug(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 31-08-2013 Choosing a wedding venue was a difficult decision for us. When we started really looking into planning our wedding, we had major sticker shock at just how expensive everything was going to be. We finally decided to suck it up and go with the Marriott Long Wharf because of its incredible location (90% of our guests were from out of town). We have ZERO regrets. Our wedding was absolutely perfect!\r\rOur reception was in the Harbor View Ballroom, which has 180 degree views of the Boston Harbor, and a beautiful terrace that hosted our cocktail hour. The food tasting was phenomenal, everything we tried was fantastic. It was difficult to settle on only 3 entrees, but one of the best decisions we made was to offer our guests the filet – so many people came up to us to tell us it was the best food they’d ever had at a wedding! \r\rMary Kate was our Wedding Coordinator and I probably had 100 email conversations with her over the past year - she was incredibly prompt at responding to every single one of my questions, and on the day of the wedding she did an amazing job at making sure everything ran smoothly. She is great at what she does, and she’s a big reason our wedding went off without a hitch. There was a whole team of people on-site during our reception, and the service was impeccable. \r\rI would highly recommend the Marriott Long Wharf to any couple looking for a Boston venue with amazing food and fantastic service, as long as you have a hefty budget for your wedding. That was the one and only downfall. Even the guest rooms seemed expensive, but compared to what the hotel can charge on a Saturday night in the summer because of its location (@ $700), they were extremely generous with the wedding room block rate that they offered our guests.\r\rMany thanks to the entire event staff!\rKristen & Eric Reviewed on 05-09-2013
