We absolutely loved our wedding at The Boulders. It was a destination wedding and we hosted 2 events for our guests leading up to the wedding. The staff at The Boulders were so very accommodating and kind. HUGE shoutout to Lucas (and the staff that worked with him) and each of the 3 dinners we hosted. Lucas was absolutely amazing in making sure everything went smoothly and on time. He made sure all of our guests (including the kids) were comfortable and had everything they needed. The grounds at The Boulders do not disappoint. We are so happy with the way our wedding pictures came out with the wonderful views around the resort. Our wedding ceremony was held at Promise Rock and reception in the Sonoran Ballroom. Our welcome dinner and rehearsal dinner we in the Boulderview room. Only word of caution….. some of our wedding photos from the tee box above Promise Rock have a parking lot and construction equipment in the background in our sunset shots. Our photographer missed this but luckily we had plenty of other shots to pick from.

We could NOT have had a better experience. Of course the venue was absolutely stunning, but what really made our wedding perfect was Conference Services Manager, Erin Donovan. She was, by far, the MVP of the entire coordination process- To say she is professional, prompt, efficient, responsive, kind and amazing at her job is an understatement. She was an absolute blessing to work with (my whole family is now obsessed with her) and truly made sure we had everything we wanted and needed, going well above and beyond any expectations. This whole experience was an honest 10/10, and I HIGHLY recommend The Boulders as a venue to anyone looking to plan a beautiful and memorable event. Just make sure to ask for Erin! ;)

We had our dream wedding at Boulders last month! Erin Donovan was our on-site contact and she is a gem!! Boulders is very lucky to have her and she was so incredible at helping us plan every detail, getting back to us so quickly, and hopping on calls as needed since we were planning our wedding from out of state. The entire team made us and our guests feel so welcome and executed our vision perfectly (+ we received lots of compliments on the food during dinner!). They were so prepared and I felt completely at ease the entire time. This is a stunning venue....our photos turned out beautifully with all of the desert backdrops, and Erin will actually take you around to certain locations for photos with your photographer after the ceremony. We had 85 guests at Promise Rock and then at Boulderview Room/Terrace for our reception and loved every second of it.

We had just our ceremony at the Boulders Resort Spa and it was better than I could have ever imagined. Harold, the director of catering & conference services was our go to guy for everything & he couldn’t have made this day run more smoothly for my husband & I! The landscape really sells itself at Boulders but Harold made planning & executing the actual wedding so stress-free. After the ceremony he took us and our photographer to different spots in the resort on a golf cart to get the most AMAZING pictures. We also had our rehearsal lunch at The Grill Restaurant at The Boulders Resort. The food was absolutely amazing & it was very affordable! Ahmad was in charge of the lunch, everything was set up perfect & he was able to accommodate for a couple food allergies as well. Thank you Boulders!

If you are looking for a classy, yet desert feel for your wedding, The Boulders are for you! 95% of our guests were from out of town and the resort had such incredible service the whole weekend from check in, to the pool, and even providing golf cart transportation throughout the resort. The event team was also outstanding and catered to our every need. It felt so good to sit back and enjoy our wedding day knowing that everything was taken care of.

The Boulders Resort and Spa made our wedding dreams come true! After having to cancel a big 200 person wedding due to the covid pandemic, we came across The Boulders online. We downgraded to a 30 person wedding, with our ceremony at Promise Rock and our reception in the Organic Garden. It was the most beautiful setting for both, from the large boulder rocks, to the amazing cacti and desert scenery. Erin was absolutely amazing and made all the planning a breeze. She was so great to work with and was such a huge part of our day going so perfectly! The food was delicious for dinner as well as the yummy wedding cake. We got so many compliments from our guests all night long on how great everything was. I would highly recommend having your wedding at The Boulders, especially if you’re looking for that perfect Arizona desert wedding!

We got married in 2020 during the height of covid, and our original venue had to reschedule our wedding. It was important to us to keep our wedding date and still have an extremely small ceremony (less than 30 guests). Luckily, we found Boulders and they helped us pull off the wedding of our dreams in TWO WEEKS! Everyone we worked with was amazing, especially Erin! She was helpful, professional, super timely with answering emails, and just all-around amazing. Our wedding day was above and beyond our highest expectations and we have Boulders to thank. We wish we could do it again!

This review is so long overdue and I could never write enough good things about my experience with the Boulders. This venue literally saved my wedding. Our wedding was postponed due to COVID and only 7 days before our new, rescheduled date, the original venue essentially said it couldn’t happen. The Boulders swooped in, on a one week notice, and completely 100% pulled off our dream wedding. They took all of the stress of the crazy situation off of my shoulders and assured me that they would take care of everything. They took all of our ideas and plans and simply made it happen. Instead of asking us to review & choose from their menu, they literally took the menu we had planned and made it. There was nothing that they couldn’t make happen.Aside from their incredible work to pull together our wedding, The Boulders itself is breathtaking. I can’t imagine a more beautiful backdrop than Promise Rock, and the sunset from the ballroom deck had all of our guests talking. Our pictures are breathtaking and the grounds are so versatile. The food was so delicious that we made room for seconds and people are still talking about it 4 months later.Greater than everything I’ve already written, are the people at the Boulders. Let me assure you, every single person on staff here will make each of your guests feel welcomed and well taken care of. For example, I had a young cousin from out of state who arrived around 3am after her flight before the big day. She was met at the gate by name and cheerfully greeted “we’ve been expecting you!” I still have chills thinking about our wedding day and there is no doubt in my mind that the reason our big day was a such a success is due to their hard work and heart. Thank you to the Boulders, and an especially huge shout out to Erin and Harold.

We got married at the Boulders on March 17th 2017. Our ceremony was at Promise Rock and the reception was at the Duck Pond (I promise I will add photos to this review in the near future). My husband knew about the Boulders and I agreed to have our wedding their sight unseen, based on his glowing review. Everything was ABSOLUTELY PERFECT. We have zero complaints and wish we could relive the day over and over again. The weather was absolutely perfect and both venues were stunning. Neither of us lived in the state so for us it was a destination wedding. There were 48 guests (but of course they can hold much more than that). We still get feedback from our guests saying it was the best wedding they have ever been to (which feels great, haha). Because it’s a very expensive time of year to visit Arizona, we wanted to make sure our guests were taken care of with food and alcohol. The food was GREAT (and who ever leaves a wedding saying that!?) and we opted for an open bar. The Boulders staff made everything so simple and wonderful, which is a huge plus for a bride, especially an out of state bride. We used their recommendations for photographers and hair and makeup, so they knew the venue well already. The Boulders is so beautiful, especially this time of year, so you can go as basic as you want with decorations or glam it up- just depends on what you want and your budget. The ONLY decorations I had- and I mean ONLY – were the centerpieces, which I made the night before. My sister in law brought mason jars she already had, I bought twine, and we went to Ralph’s and bought Baby’s Breath flowers for $4 a bunch. We put the flowers in a jar, tied a twine bow on and that was that! People kept second guessing my decision but the day of, they truly were the perfect complement to the desert, golf course and pond. So that’s how simple you can go! We were also fortunate enough to rent a house for our stay, which was massive and just unreal. My husband and I stayed there (except the night of our wedding and I stayed with a gf on the property the night before, hehe), along with my maid of honor and her husband and the ring bearer, my husband’s best man and one of his other best friends. If you can do this, I would highly recommend it. It just added to the convenience, experience and memories. Anyone else who could stay there LOVED it- having the pools and spa and gym and golf carts and walking trails to their disposal was incredible; it was like a vacation for everyone and that’s truly what we wanted. Again…everyone is STILL raving. Everything went off without a hitch thanks to the wedding coordinators and all other staff. HIGHLY recommend a wedding here!

My husband and I were married at The Boulders in October 2017. About 4 years ago we spent a long weekend and fell in love with the resort, little did we know that it would be the venue for our very intimate dream wedding reception. From the day we contacted Erin she made the process of wedding planning stress free and enjoyable. From the breath taking views to the amazing staff we could not be happier with our experience with The Boulders. We will definitely be visiting soon! I highly recommend considering The Boulders for your wedding reception, they will not disappoint.

My son and daughter were married here in October 2017. The wedding was at Promise Rock and the reception at the Latilla ballroom.While we had a rough start in the early planning stages in the fourth quarter of 2016 and first quarter of 2017 due to staff turnover, once Corissa McDermott took over as our wedding planner and Erin Donovan as our room coordinator, everything was FANTASTIC.They were both very responsive to my questions and in most cases able to give me what I asked for. The wedding rehearsal and day of set up was handled easily. The coordination of wedding day activities from early morning through the evening reception was beautifully done. Corrissa was very patient and calm dealing with our large wedding party.I had very good reviews from our guests about the dinner entrees served at the reception and they made a special dinner tor the gluten free groom.As an event planner of 20 years I know how things should done and I think The Boulders Resort did a five star event for us.

My experience working with the Boulders resort for my wedding has been terrible. The reason we chose to book here is because we felt we would receive 5 star service which has been far from the case. The turnover of employees at this property is ridiculous so one person tells you something and then the next time you hear something else from a new person. it is no wonder the information is inconsistent. There is no getting ready area for the bridal party or groomsmen so you are forced to purchase an area for them to get ready or they must get ready in their rooms however not all of our party is staying at the resort so we were not able to do that. They gave us a wedding block quoted price and then my family found you could book online for the same price. I informed them of this and immediately their prices were updated higher. then they tried to deny the room block price they offered and I had to find the email where they sent this to me to PROVE to them they had quoted me a price they quoted. then they seemed annoyed at me that they had to give me this price. we were only allowed 2 entrée tastings and when we did not like one of the entrees we were told we were not able to schedule another tasting to try another. we are serving 250-400 people at our wedding for $175 a person. I am not sure why another food tasting would have been a problem but apparently it was too much for this resort. We have been given constant contradictory information from multiple parties involved. they do not have one person who coordinates which forces you to speak with each department separately and when the people working in those departments are constantly changing it is very hard for anyone to know what is going on with your wedding. I agree with the other review on here that if you want a 5 star resort for your wedding book at a resort that will provide you with the 5 star service you deserve on your wedding day. I would NEVER recommend this venue and It depresses me that now that we have guests booked at the resort and near the area already for the wedding we are stuck with this venue. I am extremely disappointed in the service at this venue. They have ZERO appreciation for their customers. we specifically reserved double rooms in our block and they did not honor that. the whole experience has been ridiculous. I do hope they clean up their act because the property is gorgeous.

My husband and I were married at The Boulder's in Nov 2015 and it was nothing less than perfect! Ellen, our coordinator there, helped us through every step from picking the perfect area of the resort for the ceremony (Promise Rock) and reception area (Clubhouse banquet room/patio) to the little details like napkin colors and shuttling guests from one area to the next. The summer before the hotel was going through renovations and they were very clear about what was been done, when it would be complete and what locations would be available for the wedding and reception. The meal was even better than the food tasting and the cake was included (nice to not have to worry about another vendor). They were also easy to work with on some minor menu adjustments. We received early check-in and late check out. By the time the wedding day came, I had no worries at all and as noted earlier, the day was perfect! I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

Before you book The Boulders for your wedding, I hope you'll consider my brief story as a bride: I booked a stay at the hotel on May 1 for my wedding night in September 2016. I called in August to request an early check-in so I could get ready at the resort. Turned out they had NO record of my reservation. What’s more, they wouldn’t honor the price I paid in May, told me I was out of luck on the cost ($300), and said they couldn’t do anything for me. They rebooked me for $70 more than the original cost (forget about the early check-in, they said, too). The third party that I made the reservation with went out of business, so I’m now left trying to get the money back through American Express. Absolutely no offer of help from The Boulders. So before you book at The Boulders, you might want to know they are very far from the premiere property they claim to be. They don’t care a bit about their customers, clearly – even on your wedding night. You're better off choosing a true five-star property like Four Seasons or The Ritz-Carlton. Such a disappointment from a place I truly expected more from.
