We recently hosted a baby shower in the Arts Garden in Dec 2024 and our guests were truly blown away at how gorgeous this space was. They mentioned that we really went all out when really a lot of the wow factor was already included! The bistro/market lighting was superb making the whole space well-lit for guests to enjoy, and the facilities included tables, white folding chairs and trash bins that were fully set up before our rental period began. We love that these spaces are rented out on an hourly basis with gave us a lot of flexibility from a budget standpoint. Rebecca from the venue was so kind to schedule our site walk through so quickly and really was there to help set us up for success as we approached the event date, permits and all! On the day of, we had a really stellar experience with Austin and team who checked in on our party. They were incredibly kind and helpful throughout the event to make sure we felt taken care of. Load in was a piece of cake for our vendors and breakdown was easily just as much of a breeze considering the layout. Thank you Rebecca and team at the Brea Community Center for giving us such a wonderful experience from start to end. We can't wait to return for more fun! Reviewed on 09-12-2023

We used the arts garden for the ceremony and the hall for the reception because it came with the patio. The space was great for what we needed! It’s a blank canvas so please keep in mind it will take a lot of outside vendors depending on what you want to achieve with the space. The center come with tables and chairs, the hall comes with pretty ugly black chairs so we rented others from a vendor. The outdoor chairs are the white resin chairs which are perfect. The rates are hourly and you will need extra hour for any type of set up that you will need. Overall we made the space what we envisioned and we were happy with it! People complimented the space and seemed comfortable there :) Reviewed on 06-11-2023

The Arts Garden at Brea Community Center is a wonderful venue. It was perfect for what we wanted - affordable and beautiful! We were a DIY couple with very minimal decorations - literally just table linens and a centerpiece - and leading up to the reception, I was self conscious/second guessing about how little decor we had. However, when I walked into the garden day of, that went away completely. We got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue was, especially when the lights illuminated the entire area as it got darker. The event space is also huge and we comfortably sat 136 guests at 15 round tables with ample space for our dancing area. A huge perk is that tables and chairs are included and that helped us immensely because we didn’t want to rent with outside vendors. You also get access to the Arts Garden Walkway and that was a great location for the bar and the lines that go with it. Lastly, Rebecca Hart, the Community Services Specialist, was amazing. We booked the venue only 8 months before and she answered all of our questions promptly and kindly. We truly were stress free because of her and her communication! Reviewed on 04-08-2023

Brea Community Center was the perfect venue for our wedding! We held the ceremony in the outdoor Arts Garden which gave the beautiful garden fairytale vibe we were looking for without us having to do much decorating. For our wedding of 120 we used the Patio Room (2/3 of the community hall) which was plenty of space for all our tables and an open dance space. Rebecca Hart was excellent to work with! She was very communicative and answered all our questions. We got so many comments from guests about how beautiful the venue was! Gabrielle Angela Mision(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-03-2023 This venue is perfect for big weddings! If you’re a DIY couple this is the venue for you. We booked the community hall for our reception. We had over 200 guests and it felt very spacious and not crowded. The dance floor was big enough without having everyone bump into each other. The layout was amazing but just be sure to get all your liability insurance taken care of in advanced, if alcohol is being served there will be security guards present and will need to be paid for at an additional price. Also if you want to use candles for your center pieces you have to go to the fridge department to get that approved. Overall, for it being a community center it is an extremely beautiful venue! I considered our wedding demands to be pretty high and she was so accomodating. We did a lot of homework and honestly looked at, at least 10 places. When my fiance (at the time) suggested a community center I was very hesistant due to the other centers we had seen and their quality.\rWhen we walked in, I was amazed at the facility considering it is a \"community center\". Very clean, spacious, and newer than any other location we went to. \rWe rented two third of the main hall with access to the patio and the kitchen. The patio is simple and elegant. We especially liked not being forced to use certain caterers and other vendors. As we were searching we found that hotels were very strictive as far as what we could do.\rConsidering the price of the location and the quality, it is no surprise that it rents very far in advance. I can't give this location a high enough rating (and I typically only rate items when I am upset) based off of the price, quality of the location, quality of the staff and the general ease of doing business. The community hall room itself has a very high ceiling, which looks nice, and a huge variety of lights so that you can adjust the lighting however you want for your reception. It also has two projection screens that come down from the ceiling if you want to show a slideshow or something. The person in charge of events for the Brea Community Center is named Nicole and she was completely awesome. She was really nice and super helpful.
