The Breakers on the Ocean is an idyllic wedding venue located in Spring Lake, NJ. This romantic beachside setting provides couples and their loved ones with captivating scenery and a peaceful escape. The venue’s team of dedicated event staff welcomes you to host the wedding of your dreams at this oceanfront property. At The Breakers on the Ocean, you will be invited to gather at a number of event spaces for your ceremony and reception. For those looking to exchange vows to the backdrop of ocean waves and sand, the Ocean Terrace is a romantic space to host your service. From there, your guests will be lead to a sophisticated cocktail reception on the patio. An evening of dinner and dancing may commence in any of the property’s ballrooms. The charming hotel boasts both historic elegance and refined style at every corner. What’s more, you and your loved ones will be spoiled for choice when it comes to photo opportunities. From the boardwalk and pier to the covered pavilion, you can pose to your heart’s content. The team at The Breakers on the Ocean provides clients with a number of services to choose from. Their professional event staff will be on hand to ensure that every element of your day is carefully considered and expertly executed. The in-house event planner will work with you to bring your vision to life on your wedding day. All-inclusive packages can include catering and bartender services for the duration of your event. My daughter's wedding was at the Breakers. From the beginning of the year up to the wedding was so easy and stress-free every time we had a question Shannon and her staff would always answer with calmness and reassurance everything was going to be great . And it was we could not have changed anything to make the weekend any more special then it was. From the morning to the night the day went smoothly and beautiful. From the cocktail hour to dessert to the last dance we we're extremely pleased with the entire staff of The Breakers and thank them for our cherished memories that will never be forgotten.

If you're looking for a wedding venue that is truly magical, look no further than The Breakers on the Ocean. From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we knew it was the perfect place to celebrate our love. The owners of this boutique venue have created something that is absolutely stunning and intimate with beachfront charm and modern grace all within a picture perfect setting in Spring Lake.The entire staff are truly exceptional, from the front desk, to the restaurant (Anna & Pepe Chewy) for our many out of town guests, our Welcome Party hostess in the Regency Room (Sandy) and of course the entire wedding crew (Claudia, Sandy, Michelle and all of our servers). They all went above and beyond to make sure our pre-wedding festivities and wedding day were everything we ever dreamed of. We have to give a special shout out to Shannon DiBenedetto, the director of sales who was an absolute lifesaver. She helped us with every detail (beginning to end), from planning the ceremony, suggesting vendors, coordinating the Welcome Party, cocktail hour and reception, and choosing the perfect menu. She was always available to answer our questions and offer her valuable expertise. By the time of our wedding day, we felt like Shannon was a member of our family.Our guests are still talking about the amazing time they had, the delicious and plentiful food, the incredible views (we had a cotton candy sunset during our cocktail hour on the terrace!), and how wonderful the staff was.We are so grateful to everyone at The Breakers for making our fairy tale wedding come to life. It was truly magical from the beginning to the end. Most couples told us their wedding day flashed before their eyes. For us, we were totally immersed, living in every moment, all made possible by our new family at Breakers. Thank you.

Our wedding at The Breakers was beyond all of our expectations. Not only did myself and my husband think everything was PERFECT, our guests did too. Everyone raved about the amazing food, the delicious deserts, and how great the bartenders and severs were. Our coordinator, Shannon, was accommodating, easy to work with, gave wonderful suggestions and made everything top notch. Our maître d', Michelle, is simply phenomenal at her job. She made sure the entire day ran smoothly and she did so with such ease and professionalism. Our personal server, Claudia, was attentive, detail oriented and so very kind. The Breakers went above and beyond for us on our special day and we are so grateful we chose such an amazing place to have our wedding. We had the absolute most idyllic wedding day thanks to everyone at The Breakers.

We are so thankful for the experience that we were able to have at Breakers on the Ocean. We closely worked with Sandy during our time. She is supportive and truly helps make your vision come to life. All staff was kind and accommodating. We felt like family was taking care of us during the whole process.The food was amazing! We went \"jersey shore\" a bit with our \"sexy\" truffle fries and slides at cocktail hour to a classic pork roll egg and cheese for a late night snack. This truly was a hit with our guests! During our reception we did a buffet style so that we could keep the party flowing more easily. For our 140 people, there was plenty of room on the dance floor and everyone was taken care of. As we are getting our photos back from our photographer, we can't help by tear up when reliving our favorite day. We are so happy with our choice of having our wedding at Breakers on the Ocean.

My daughter’s wedding at the Breakers was simply beautiful and exceeded my expectations. The Breakers is a classic venue that let’s the elegance of Spring Lake and the Atlantic Ocean speak for themselves. The ballroom comfortably held our 165 guests for the ceremony. Everyone loved the cocktail hour on the porch. The service staff was wonderful all day. Shannon was a joy to work with for the many months between booking and the event. She was available in the days leading up to the wedding, and at our side the whole day of making adjustments on the fly – which is saying a lot considering the Breakers is a busy hotel in the beginning of it’s season. I’m really happy with the way the whole event went.

What made us decide on the this venue was experiencing the hotel in person, we met with Shannon almost a year ago and got a tour of the venue.Her professionalism and kindness was unmatched. We stayed the night in the beautiful rooms and had dinner at the restaurant and the food was absolutely amazing. We knew almost immediately this was where we wanted to get married. Fast forward a year and the big day finally arrives and because of Shannon and her team things ran so smoothly, everything was absolutely perfect. The cocktail hour on the porch with the beautiful ocean view was unmatched. We could not have asked for a more amazing day. Everyone was always super helpful and professional. Thank you so much to everyone at the Breakers for making our wedding day so special.

Where do I even begin! If you’re local to the Jersey shore, you know how iconic having your wedding at The Breakers is. Ever since I was a little girl it was my dream wedding venue. And somehow, it exceeded all of my childhood dreams and expectations. Shannon, our wedding day coordinator, was beyond amazing! She was so organized, remembered every detail between meetings, was so insightful, full of information, and was always available to answer all of my questions. Admittedly, I was a bit of a hyper-organized bride who wanted everything done way in advanced. Shannon was so accommodating to how my brain worked and never made me feel like I was bothering here with my tons of emails and calls! She made me feel so comfortable and stress free the entire process. I knew exactly what to expect and when. All of the staff at the Breakers were so professional, polite, and made myself and all of my guests feel like absolute royalty for my wedding weekend. No request was too small or too large for them to help with. Everyone was full of smiles and genuinely seemed happy to be a part of a strangers wedding day. I felt so special and individual. I never felt like I was “just another” wedding. Everyone really takes the time to know you and your wedding personally. The hotel itself is a beyond stunning and charming historic beachfront hotel. It’s almost like stepping back in time yet also a classic glamour feel. The food is incredible and my guests could not stop raving about how delicious everything was. We loved how their wedding packages were organized and explicit in exactly what was included in the price. You absolutely will not regret having your wedding here, it was truly the best day of our lives. It’s been a few months since our wedding and we still have people reaching out telling us how beautiful and perfect it was! We are so blessed to have had our wedding here!

We had mixed experience for our wedding at the Breakers. Everyone said the food was amazing and the wait staff and event team did a great job handling everything on the wedding day. Michelle and Claudia were our maitre'd and attendant respectively handled the day-of flawlessly. However, before the wedding, communication with the Breakers event staff was difficult. From setting up a tasting to signature drinks and day-of logistics we felt like we were burdening them by asking basic questions. It seems they expect a lot of details to be discussed on the last meeting the week of the wedding which was stressful for us. The most egregious complaint on their lack of organization was that Shannon our coordinator forgot that my dad had passed away four times (aka every time we met) literally up to right before I walked down the aisle. None of our other vendors had any trouble with remembering my father had passed, so it felt like a reflection on her level of care for our wedding as a whole. If you are ok with poor communication, we still felt that Breakers was a steal for great food, quality of their staff, and as a hotel for our out of town guests.

Our wedding at Breakers was everything we could’ve dreamed of!! We booked over a year in advance of our wedding, so trust me when I say that they made the experience as painless as it could be. Our original event planner had to leave unexpectedly, and Breakers handled the transition as smoothly as possible. JD was absolutely amazing for the short time we worked with him, helping us plan every last detail and advising us along the way. He was always available for my stupid questions via email. Breakers is an all-in-one venue, perfect for couples who can’t be bothered with some of the smaller details like centerpieces and linen colors. Breakers gave us three choices of centerpieces and two choices of tablecloth/napkin colors, leaving us to focus our energy elsewhere. We opted for a buffet wedding because we didn’t feel like getting our guests’ choices of dish beforehand. Even though we had a plethora of choices, Breakers still made a special dish for our one vegetarian guest at no additional cost, just to make sure she had something substantial to eat. They also helped us craft a signature cocktail for each of us, though I was told the bartenders complained that no one would order anything else at the bar! They also partner with a local cake shop, taking the stress out of that decision as well. Sandra and all of the wait staff, though we didn’t know them as long, were absolutely excellent. We didn’t want for anything the entire night. It was an absolutely perfect experience.

The venue’s beautiful ballroom was perfect for our indoor ceremony and our guests loved stepping out onto the veranda that overlooks the ocean during cocktail hour. Being able to get ready in our hotel rooms was so convenient and there was plenty of space for our wedding party and vendors. We loved getting to check in on Friday and not having to leave until Sunday. We held our rehearsal dinner, ceremony/reception, and next-day brunch all at the venue, so the whole weekend truly felt like a destination wedding. We booked The Breakers on the Ocean for our daughter’s wedding weekend and now that it’s behind us, we are happy to say it was 100% the right choice! We worked with Sandy on the planning, and we could not have asked for a better partner. From the rehearsal dinner to the wedding ceremony and reception, as well as the breakfast the next morning - everything was top notch and exactly what we had hoped for. Sandy, Sondra and Michelle and everyone on the staff were all instrumental in making our children’s vision into a reality. There was no detail overlooked - the food was delicious and the service was wonderful. We simply can’t say enough how very happy we were with the entire wedding weekend and we feel like we’ve made new friends along the way.

We booked The Breakers on the Ocean for our daughter’s wedding weekend and now that it’s behind us, we are happy to say it was 100% the right choice! We worked with Sandy on the planning, and we could not have asked for a better partner. From the rehearsal dinner to the wedding ceremony and reception, as well as the breakfast the next morning - everything was top notch and exactly what we had hoped for. Sandy, Sondra and Michelle and everyone on the staff were all instrumental in making our children’s vision into a reality. There was no detail overlooked - the food was delicious and the service was wonderful. We simply can’t say enough how very happy we were with the entire wedding weekend and we feel like we’ve made new friends along the way.

Breakers is the absolute perfect venue if you want a local Jersey shore venue! We live right in Belmar so we absolutely loved this location. They were also the most affordable beach front venue around the area which was what we wanted. So if you’re looking for beach without spending a fortune, this is it. Sandy Denison is the wedding coordinator and she was so great from day 1 when we walked in to get a tour and info. We instantly felt a great vibe and knew we could trust her. She made everything completely stress free throughout the process. Breakers went above and beyond on our wedding day. I literally didn’t have to worry about a thing! The food was 10/10!!! Everyone raves about it. The hotel rooms are beautiful. Cocktail hour on the ocean terrace with the view was stunning. The ballroom is a smaller ballroom but perfect for our 120 person wedding. We wanted a more intimate and boutique feel for our wedding and Breakers delivers that. All of the wait staff and front desk were also superior. Honestly I cannot say enough good things about Breakers. Highly recommend!

The Breakers was absolutely FANTASTIC from the moment we booked them for our wedding reception, throughout our COVID postponement, and until the day we were finally able to celebrate in October- a year after our original celebration. From the outset Shannon was a pleasure to work with and incredibly accommodating to all of our requests. The Breakers truly treats you like family and we couldn't have been happier that we stayed throughout the weekend and hosted our post-wedding brunch as well. As a COVID bride who had several other friends planning to get married during 2020-2021, I've heard so many horror stories of venues screwing over couples. Not the Breakers- they were the absolute best at communicating, rebooking us, and making everything seamless. The day of our wedding Michele was phenomenal as our maître d’ coordinating with our vendors and assisting myself and my husband throughout the day. The food was delicious and plentiful, our guests kept commenting on how good it was. The top shelf open bar was also one of our priorities when we were looking at venues- and the Breakers has it all without an extra charge for premium liquors. There is a reason why there are so many five-star reviews!! Don't hesitate to book this beautiful oceanside venue.

Let me start by saying Sandy and The Breakers team have been AMAZING to work with! We had the 2020 curveball thrown at us (like many others) which turned our original wedding plans upside down. The Breakers was willing to work with us through every step of the uncertainty as we approached our date and could not plan our big day as we had initially hoped. Due to the unprecedented circumstances and ever-changing guidelines, we made the difficult decision to drastically downsize our wedding and opted for an offsite event in the comfort of our yard. We had wanted to keep The Breakers as part of our day and had asked if they’d be willing to switch gears and provide offsite services— catering, staff, etc. for our event. They agreed to the challenge, as they don’t typically provide offsite services, and they made it happen!!! The timeline was tight (~5 weeks) to replan and ensure that we could still have The Breakers wedding we wanted, even if it looked much different than our original plan. The team was so involved throughout the planning process and truly gave it their all to make this work— and they absolutely knocked it out of the park!!! The day of went so smoothly thanks to the amazing team Sandy put together and we cannot thank them enough. The service was FANTASTIC, the food was delicious, they kept safety at the forefront of the event, the team remained on top of all details, left everything spotless, and our guests were totally blown away (as were we). Overall such an amazing experience. I am SO grateful to Sandy and the team for everything that went into this day! No one could believe that this was not a “typical” Breakers service offering.We are so so grateful and happy with our experience with The Breakers on our wedding day. My husband and I booked here because our original wedding coordinator was amazing and made us feel so comfortable. The day of our food tasting (two months after we put down the first deposit) a stranger introduced themselves and told us they were our new coordinator and our original coordinator was no longer employed at the venue. That was something that would have been nice to know ahead of time as we were completely caught off guard during our tasting. We also felt “lost” during our food tasting as we felt the venue didn’t explain how many items we could try, how many items we could pick for the reception, etc. We were hoping someone could sit with us an explain the various options however, we felt as we were just another number and felt as we were dismissed during the tasting.When had to push our wedding from May to August due to Covid 19 we spoke to several employees and finally the owner of The Breakers directly regarding room rates. We were unable to have our original hotel room rates acknowledged (as the price was doubled for the exact same rooms in August). We attempted to reach a compromise and even asked if we could be offered a percent off the price of the room vs. the May price however, we were told that was not an option and if we wanted comparable rates would have to push out wedding back to November (when the only date available was Thanksgiving weekend) or December. We decided on August as that was one of the first available date and we wanted to get married as soon as possible as we were still upset we had to push our date back from May due to Covid. During the entire planning process we felt that all the employees at The Breakers were either condescending when speaking to us or treated us like we were “just another wedding” and we felt they lack any of type of individualization or 1-1 connection. I will say, when we finally had enough and decided to go elsewhere we were fully refunded our money due of the government shutdown but that is because that was clearly written our contract.I do not recommend!

We stayed in a beautiful suite with an Ocean View for a relaxing night before the big day. The Breakers on the Ocean was a perfect venue for our wedding! From the beautiful ballroom to the delicious food to the amazing staff and the gorgeous ocean view, The Breakers made this an unforgettable experience. The Breakers on the Ocean in Spring Lake is the PERFECT wedding venue. We as the bride's family and all of our guests were given the utmost attention from everyone who works there!! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and happy to help in any way possible, including helping this mother of the bride bustle my daughter's wedding dress!!!The Breakers truly went out of their way to make sure every detail was perfect, from sending ice to the bridal suite while getting ready, replenishing the many tasty appetizers at the cocktail reception, serving up bountiful amount of delicious food at the wedding reception and giving every guest personalized attention throughout the entire evening. My daughter the bride, her husband the groom and so many of our family and friends remarked what a special wedding we were blessed to have at the Breakers!!We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would strongly recommend anyone considering a wedding to look no further and book this beautiful wedding venue. You could easily spend much more elsewhere and not get the unforgettable day we shared at the Breakers.

I wish there were more than 5 stars I could choose to rate the Breakers on the Ocean!! We had my daughter's spectacular wedding at the Breakers in November 2019 and it was perfect in everyway!! The Breakers gave us the most perfect wedding from start to finish & made all our hopes & dreams for a beautiful wedding come true!!! The venue is so gorgeous inside & out with panoramic views of the ocean as a backdrop to their stunning hotel...probably the best along the Jersey shore!! The pre-wedding plans were made so easy, pleasant & every detail was discussed. The day of the wedding was beyond my dreams for my daughter's wedding..the cocktail hour was held in the spacious main dining room , we then moved to the beautiful Crystal Room..the food was delicious, the wait staff was amazing & all our family & friends still rave about the entire event!! Most of us then stayed in the hotel after the wedding..the rooms were so lovely & again with amazing views from every room!! I highly recommend having any event you may be planning at the Breakers...the Scardino family, their wonderful staff & this gorgeous hotel will give you an event that will make your dreams come true, give you a day you will love & memories you will treasure forever!!! Thank you , Thank you to everyone at the Breakers for giving us the BEST WEDDING EVER!!!

I wish there were more than 5 stars I could choose to rate the Breakers on the Ocean!! We had my daughter's spectacular wedding at the Breakers in November 2019 and it was perfect in everyway!! The Breakers gave us the most perfect wedding from start to finish & made all our hopes & dreams for a beautiful wedding come true!!! My husband & I had a beautiful fall wedding at the Breakers on the Ocean. We were looking for local elegance and charm with great service and food! We found all of this at the Breakers. An important deciding factor for us was the ability to make our wedding day simple and less stressful by having everything we needed in one spot. The Breakers was the perfect choice for us because we were able to have our ceremony, reception and post-wedding brunch all at the same venue. Additionally, the Breakers is a hotel so we were able to accommodate a large majority of our guests onsite. We received so many compliments on not only on the venue itself but also its location. I do love the beach, but I did not consider myself a beach bride. The Breakers offers multiple options for both the ceremony as well as pictures. We got married inside the venue but had beautiful pictures taken on the beach and down the street in the gorgeous Divine Park. Being in such a great area with strong local affiliations we were even offered free trolley transportation from a local bar for an after party which was a total hit for those that were interested.The staff, specifically the event coordinators Eileen and Shannon, were always very accommodating. I felt they truly cared about our wants and needs. They were always very prompt with their response time, helpful with all of our questions and just very patient and kind overall. Molly at the hotel’s front desk was especially helpful and went above and beyond to be sure the hotel could accommodate my handicap brother appropriately. This meant so much to me! Many of our guests commented on how much they loved both the food and our cake! The bakery they are affiliated with, the Chocolate Carouse, was delicious. Our wedding was an all-around great experience, and we can’t thank the Breakers enough for helping to make our wedding day the best day of our lives.

We had a wonderful wedding reception at the Breakers. The cocktail hour on the back porch overlooking the beach was amazing. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather.The process along the way was relatively easy with Terri's support. We looked about a year in advance and The Breakers was our first venue we checked out. We wrote the deposit that night without even looking at other venues. The both the passed and tray appetizers were delicious as well as the meals. We got chicken française, pistachio crusted sea bass, and filet mignon as entrees. Everything was great. The staff was courteous and extremely accommodating and made the event stress-free. Sandra in particular was tasked with taking care of any needs my wife and I had. She was awesome. Everyone told us it was one of the best weddings ever. We heard afterwards we actually drank all the beer in the venue!I wouldn't have changed anything.

I cannot express the gratitude in my heart for the wonderful and professional handling of our wedding by all the staff at The Breakers. Everything was done with such care and a \"joyful smile\" on all faces. Besides being blessed by God with a perfect day I feel fortunate that all went \"as planned.\" Cosmo and his sons had a \"hands on\" approach but let their qualified staff take care of everything. My beautiful bride and I were treated so well by Shannon, Eileen, Michelle, Terri and Cesar. Let's start with the place. WOW! So pretty and classy. The colors of the hall matched our feeling of the ocean. The room was set up so nice...perfect. And the Cocktail Hour was in the wrap around deck.And the view of the Atlantic Ocean--what can I say...wonderful! The food: my guests raved about the food. The cocktail hour had so many delicacies like bacon wrapped scallops and filet mignon toast. And the main courses offered were very nice: prime rib, chicken francaise and poached salmon. All...to die for...my end cut prime rib was the best I've had. The manager of the wedding itself, Michelle, was super. Just cool, calm and collected. She must have handled anything that came up since we saw no \"issues.\" She guided us every step of the way. Our sales managers, Terri and Eileen, were precise and covered all bases. We followed their timetable and we had a very smooth day. They were professional and were always \"upbeat.\" Finally, the hotel manager, Cesar, was so helpful to us and our guests. Our rooms were outstanding with a great view of the ocean. I highly recommend The Breakers. Our day was perfect thanks to Cosmo, Anthony, Joey and their wonderful staff. Thank you all.

This place is beautiful! The views of the ocean are amazing. The hotel is quaint. We had our pre-wedding dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception here. The dining room view is awesome. We absolutely loved our day at the Breakers. Terri was the best coordinator who made the entire process smooth and easy and gave us a truly magical day. Dona, our Maitre d’, was also amazing at organizing the day of, making sure both my husband and myself and all the guests were happy and satisfied. The wait staff, especially Mary, took care of our every need- sometimes before we even knew we needed something!!!- and was attentive to our guests as well. The overnight stay- check in and out was easy and simple and we really enjoyed the hotel room- simple, comfortable, great view and very clean. I highly recommend this venue to all looking for a wonderful venue for the best day.

We absolutely loved our day at the Breakers. Terri was the best coordinator who made the entire process smooth and easy and gave us a truly magical day. Dona, our Maitre d’, was also amazing at organizing the day of, making sure both my husband and myself and all the guests were happy and satisfied. The wait staff, especially Mary, took care of our every need- sometimes before we even knew we needed something!!!- and was attentive to our guests as well. The overnight stay- check in and out was easy and simple and we really enjoyed the hotel room- simple, comfortable, great view and very clean. I highly recommend this venue to all looking for a wonderful venue for the best day.

We never planned on having our wedding at Breakers. As a matter of fact, we were only in the area because we had been looking at other venues. By chance, however, we stumbled across this perfect gem sitting nestled across the street from the ocean and decided to stop in ... just on a whim that they might let us look around.And thankfully we did!As soon as we walked through the doors, my wife and I were captivated by the coziness and elegance of the Breakers, accented by all the natural light beaming in through the windows. We checked with the front desk about taking a look around and they instead offered to sit us down with their Wedding Manager, Eileen Barnetti.Before we walked out of the building that day, Eileen had felt like a family member we've known our whole life. She literally stopped what she was doing (which was preparing for an on-site conference scheduled later that day) to sit down with us and show us the entire hotel and wedding ballroom. We fell in love with the Breakers immediately, but it was Eileen's sincerity and genuine affection that made the decision for us - we were booking here.As we continued to meet more of the Breakers staff, we cannot say enough nice things about their friendliness and patience. Eileen and her team were *always* available to answer questions (even on her days off) and made sure to accommodate any request we had - no matter how big, small, or silly. When our big day finally arrived, we were treated like royalty. Our maitre d, Michelle, was flexible and worked with us to make sure we had time to enjoy ourselves. She effortlessly managed all of our vendors and adjusted our schedule on-the-fly to accommodate us -- never once did she try rushing us or breaking the flow of the night to adhere to a predefined itinerary. She made it *our* night.We elected to go with a buffet style dinner after passed Hors d'oeuvres during our cocktail reception. The passed hors d'oeuvres were frequent, plentiful, and every plate had a variety of options to choose from. Nobody ever had to look hard to grab a snack. Our buffet was hot, delicious, and loaded with more options than we knew what to do with. Our guests commented at how generous the portions were and thanked us for the flexibility of eating when they were ready (not to take away from the dance floor).Even as our night winded down, the staff at the Breakers continued to make themselves available. They arranged transportation for nearly two dozen guests to a local bar for an \"after party\" and were quick to help others to the rooms. They were even so generous as to pack to-go container for my wife and I and deliver additional food to our room, just in case we didn't get a chance to eat during the wedding (which, of course, we didn't).The Breakers on the Ocean is a beautiful hotel/ballroom combination that offers everything you need for your wedding right in one place. But there are beautiful venues everywhere. What separates the Breakers from any other venue you'll look at is the people inside the building. Beautiful venue. The whole site and team was incredible to work with. They answered all our questions and met with us several times. My guest were blown away with their decor and overall atmosphere. Absolutely lovely venue for our wedding this past September 1st. Eileen (our wedding planner) was heart-warming and endearing from the very first day. We just adored her. On my wedding morning - She was upstairs in my room steaming my gown!!! Just an angel and gave such good guidance and support every step of the way - A true asset to the Breakers indeed. The Breakers is a beautiful venue - but it is showing its age. It could use a renovation to brighten its fading beauty. The wedding was beautiful. The service impeccable. The food excellent. All details big and small were executed perfectly....Except one detail: Our wedding suite, sadly, was switched without our knowledge to a small frumpy room due to Labor Day weekend demand? It was not the same caliber room that we were shown initially and guaranteed to be part of our wedding package. I was shocked upon arrival on the night before the wedding to be shown this dismal small room instead - but was shut down by the front desk as a \"no-can-do/sorry\"...That was very disappointing. To surprise the bride with a bait and switch at the last minute when all one wants to do is enjoy the moment. Boo. But the event was lovely - My guests are still raving about it and I am so grateful to the Breakers event staff for their dedication for making my wedding day so perfect!!!

The Breakers was amazing! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at this venue. The ceremony was on the beautiful wrap around porch overlooking the ocean. A great spot for photos!! The cocktail hour was also on the porch with ocean view. It was so elegant and picturesque!! We took photos on the beach as well. We had the seashell reception room with views of the ocean. It really was gorgeous! The food was delicious!!! Many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding they had attended. We were really surprised at the degree of attention given to us. Eileen, our sales representative/ wedding coordinator was absolutely amazing! She treated us like we were her own children. She really did everything as if it were for her own family. I can’t say enough about her. Even after the wedding, she contacted us to see how we were doing and how our out of state move went. We hope to remain in contact with her . She made the wedding process painless. Another thing I loved was that they assigned one staff member to be there solely for the bride and groom and their every need during the wedding. Our person even went as far as to come to the rescue and get pins to repair my dress bussle after someone stepped on my train!! She made us feel like royalty and took great care of us. The complimentary bride and groom hotel room was also great. We already plan on returning to the Breakers for our one year anniversary! You can’t go wrong with a wedding at The Breakers!!!

Shannon carefully stored everything overnight and ensure it was set up exactly how we had envisioned it the next day. Everything went exactly as planned and looked even better than I could have imagined. We love the jersey shore and this place was reasonable in price. We were able to add in a couple of things that we wanted for not too much extra. Terri was our planner and helped us anything that we needed in our year and a half engagement. She was fantastic and was prompt in answering emails! The hotel itself is beautiful and a great place for guests. Overall, the food and staff at The Breakers was everything and more than we expected and would not have changed anything! We highly recommend The Breakers!

It has always been a dream of mine to get married at the Breakers. Since I was young I would go to the beach across from the Breakers and watch all of the brides, they always seemed to have the best time. The day after we got engaged my husband and I booked the Breakers. Everyone was so incredibly wonderful to us and we could not be more excited to have our reception there. After we booked we had celebratory drinks on the porch over looking the ocean and we knew it was the perfect choice. Throughout the year Terri, Anthony and Joseph made sure we received everything we could ever dream of. The wedding day came and it was our dream come true! Everything was perfect. The food was insanely amazing, the wait staff was wonderful and so helpful and the Maitre D was simply the best! We had a Hoffmans truck come and the Maitre D made sure that my husband and I got ice cream even though we were unable to go out to the truck. We had a five piece band and 200 guests and we all fit perfectly and never had space issues. We were able to have cocktail hour on the porch overlooking the ocean, andmy husband and I took some night shots on the boardwalk. After the wedding we stayed in the honeymoon suite upstairs and that was also a dream. It was enormous and warm, and from our window we could see the ocean plus it had a big jacuzzi tub. It was the perfect spot for a romantic evening after our wedding. Since the wedding we have been back to the Breakers on numerous occasions for dinner, because the food is simply the best. My sisters and friends of mine have gotten married at a few different venues, and I have to say this was the most helpful and loving staff as well as the best location, food and everything all for the best price! Everyone still talks about our wedding, that it was the best they have ever been to. I cannot recommend the Breakers enough. It was simply put, a dream.

I'll start this review by saying...Breakers on the Ocean surpassed our expectations! Our wedding day went without any issues and they did an amazing job with our decor. It's in a phenomenal location, ran by superb staff and the food is absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a venue that will look stunning and treat you like you're all that matters then don't hesitate on booking with Breakers. Eileen was amazing and we absolutely adored her. She made us feel at ease with all the chaotic wedding planning and was always there to take our calls/emails. She connects with the bride, groom and their families. By the end of our wedding night, we felt as if Eileen was a part of our family. Our maitre d' was Donna and she was wonderful. She made sure our wedding day/night went without any issues and she did an amazing job at it. We also had our own personal server, Sandra. She was just as great as all the other staff members. During cocktail hour, she brought my wife and I a dish of each item being served at our cocktail hour to a private room where we and our bridal party were. She then asked the bridal party to join our cocktail hour so that we could have our first \"meal\" as husband and wife, alone. From that moment on, she took care of our drink/food needs the remainder of the night. Anytime our drinks were getting close to empty, she had a fresh one waiting for us at our table or hand delivered one to us on the dance floor. I never saw her, but she clearly was always watching after us. To put into perspective how this staff makes everything about you, my wife made a request that we do not want to be bothered during our dinner so that we could enjoy our meal. Sandra and Donna took the request to heart and made sure that no one would approach us and try talking/taking pictures etc while we were eating our dinner. One of our good friends came over to talk to us while we were eating and Sandra walked over and said, \"hello, how's your dinner?\" She politely talked our friend away from our sweet heart table. That is the type of service you will get at Breakers. We can't stress it enough, the staff is PHENOMENAL! The venue is BEAUTIFUL! The food is OUTSTANDING! If you're having second thoughts on Breakers, I assure you they will meet your needs, expectations and treat you like family. We had our ceremony and reception there. We wouldn't change a thing, everything went so perfectly. There is also a beautiful park, Divine Park, a couple blocks away to have pictures taken. I'll say it again, this venue is in a beautiful location. We loved the Breakers and we absolutely loved Eileen, Donna, Sandra, the bartenders, and all of the servers and other staff members that made our wedding night so special. We will be back to visit!

Our wedding at the Breakers was magical from beginning to end! The attention to detail by every staff member was top notch from dealing with Terri Thompson making sure every detail of our day was handled, to Molly making arrangements for rooms for all of our out of town guests, to our matre' d Donna who kept things moving smoothly on the day of the wedding. I truly felt like a princess on our fairytale day. We have already booked our room for an anniversary weekend next September!

I just had my wedding at the breakers and it was absolutely amazing! My guest were so impressed with the place ! The food was so delicious ! they even brought the leftovers from cocktail hour to our suite so we had something to snack on after the wedding! We upgraded our suite to a Tower suite OMG it was so beautiful i felt like a princess staying there! Terri Thompson, Michelle, and the entire Breaker's team did a fabulous job! we will definitely be staying at the hotel again in the future hopefully making it a yearly anniversary thing!

Eileen, Michelle and all the other staff at the Breakers went so far beyond our expectations with the planning and execution of our wedding Saturday afternoon that we were nearly speechless. There wasn't a detail ignored an we were pampered like royalty. We had a smaller wedding and were on a budget so I expected a glitch or disappointment but there were none. Everything was perfect. The cocktail hour was great and the food was cooked and served to perfection. The server that took care of my wife and I was so on top of her game I never put an empty drink on a table, she was there with a replacement before the last sip every time. I was amazed by this as she was always busy but was able to keep a constant eye on us. I never in my wildest dreams imagined we would be treated as well as we did at The Breakers. Our room was perfect the pool and the view were amazing. The atmosphere was relaxed and even though it was brutally hot no one missed a beat. Eileen recommended a bunch of vendors who we contacted and were given the same level of service from them as well. All of Eileen's and Michelle's recommendations and directions were those of experienced professionals who truly loved what they do. In the extreme heat we endured everyone there made sure we were hydrated and well fed. They noticed us sweating and getting flush during pictures and made sure we took a water break and cooled off without rushing us through any steps of the process. We had our 5 year old son with us and I can't imagine any more they could have done to make him feel as important as us, I never expected them to be so sweet to him. He actually asked if we could go back to visit them soon. If you are thinking about having a wedding here do it you won't regret it.

The Breakers is an excellent place to get married! We had a gorgeous day at a beautiful venue. Everyone says you don't eat on your wedding day; however, this is not true at the Breakers. We had the best personal waitress who made sure we tried each hors d'oeuvre, tasted each course at our reception and always had a fresh drink in our hand! The staff was excellent not only to us, but to our guests!! Our cake and pastries were delicious! Everything was perfect and I would highly recommend trusting the Breakers to host your wedding! Choosing The Breakers for our wedding venue was the best choice we made for our wedding! We visited 4 venues, all located at the shore, and after visiting The Breakers, we knew that was our spot. We met with Terri, and could immediately sense she was a pro and knew what she was doing, and we were so right. Throughout the entire process she was extremely responsive to our thousands of inquiries and was always so calming about everything. We just knew we were in good hands with her. I'm sure it helped that on June 4th it was the most perfect weather, but even without that we were blown away by our wedding. We met with Dona the day before who went over every detail of the wedding day. We had cocktail hour outside and they served the best hand passed apps and hot chaffing dishes as well. Everyone, even my wife and got to taste some of the dishes, raved about the food. We finished up our pictures on the beach and got a shot of us in front of The Breakers with everyone on the porch raising their glasses, so cool! Dona then directed everyone into the Ballroom for entrances. The Ballroom was beautiful and so clean. We had dinner then danced the night away. The entire staff at The Breakers, from waiters, housekeeping, front desk, management etc...were incredible and went above and beyond expectations. They are really a team. Whatever we needed was done. We were lucky to have about 32 rooms booked that night so we had an after party in the piano bar and even scheduled a breakfast in the Seashell room the following day. We had the best time at our wedding and really got to enjoy every moment of it because The Breakers have this down pat. I will 100% recommend The Breakers to anyone looking for wedding venues, with Terri and Dona, along with the rest of the staff, you will be in great hands. My wife and I plan to stay a weekend every year around our wedding to always remember our special day at The Breakers. Thank you to everyone at The Breakers!

Just Perfect? Three months is not much time to plan, but my partner and I figured we would be able to accomplish it. With the help of Shannon, Michele, Eileen, Terri, and the rest of The Breakers Staff we were able to have our perfect wedding ceremony.I did some quick research and found The Breakers online on a Friday and met with Shannon the following morning (definitely impressed by their quick response time). Their quick response time and very accommodating nature continued throughout the entire planning phase of our wedding. I met with her several times/exchanged numerous emails and phone calls over the course of 3 months and she was always so kind and helpful. I think one of Shannon's best attributes is her ability to anticipate what you are looking for, even before you know it. My partner and I had no idea of certain wedding etiquette and she was always there guiding us and letting us know what should/shouldn't be done. When Shannon was not available, her colleagues Eileen or Terri were always there to help me out, and I think it is the excellent teamwork among the staff that definitely shines through and is a quality unique to \"The Breakers\". During our wedding day, Michele was our Maitre D, and she was so organized and thoughful that I didn't have anything to worry about at all. I had several lists and she executed them to perfection. She kept the flow of things so well, that my guests were telling me how they have never seen food coming out so quickly during the cocktail hour and our reception (which was done buffet style). The servers were also very kind and attentive. In addition, I want to commend our bartenders, who kept the drinks coming and made it so that my guests never had to wait long for their drinks. I also received comments from my guests about how good the quality of the liquor was. Lastly, the food at \"The Breakers\" is some of the best I've had (not just for a wedding but among restaurants too, and we have traveled all over the world). STUNNING SPRING LAKE WEDDING SEPTEMBER 19, 2015\r\rMy mother-in-law suggested The Breakers on the Ocean for our wedding venue and I'm so glad she did! The planning part was almost too easy and definitely enjoyable. Shannon helped guide us through the entire process with ease, suggesting top-notch vendors along the way...from the officiant, hairdresser and bakery, to the DJ and florist. We found Kaylyn Ivy Photography ourselves, directly from her website, who was the perfect combination of artistry and skill! We were blessed with a gorgeous day full of sun with a warm breeze. We had the ceremony outside on The Terrace which overlooks the beach. Is there any backdrop more perfect than the BEACH? Spring Lake is a phenomenally gorgeous town itself...add in that it is at the ocean...well, it just doesn't get any better. The wedding party took a jaunt across the street for a photo shoot at the gazebo and made it back to The Terrace for the second half of the Cocktail Hour. (Didn't want to miss one of the best parts of the celebration.) The Reception was held just inside The Seashell Room which has huge windows, all with breathtaking views of the ocean! The Breakers' staff was kind and professional as they handled every detail with expertise. They knew just what to do and when to do it. We were able to just relax and enjoy our celebration all day long with our 50 guests. I would highly recommend The Breakers on The Ocean to anyone interested in having a fabulous wedding in a phenomenal beach town. If you need a venue for 68 Guests or less, I suggest The Seashell Room...especially for a daytime wedding. Spectacular views! Spectacular location!

Our maître' d Michelle was outstanding. She took care of Darryl and I throughout the night and made sure we kept on schedule. I have food allergies and she made sure I had exactly everything I needed. Also, our guests said the cocktail hour was amazing. We can't emphasize the outstanding customer service that was extended to us and our guests. The venue is spectacular because it's right across from the beach. We came back a few months after our wedding for breakfast and some of the staff who worked our wedding reception remembered us!! That made us feel great. One thing that's special about this venue is that we can come back to celebrate our wedding anniversary year after year!!

Eileen was my wedding coordinator and she gave amazing advice and great references for vendors. The staff on our day were amazing. I didn't have to walk to the bar once and not one server passed without offering food. I heard awesome tales of their great service from all of our guests. We stayed in the hotel the night of the wedding and all of our belongings were brought to our room by the time we got up there. Michele our maitre'd made sure the entire night stayed on track. I am very type-a and did not have to think or worry about a single detail the entire evening. \rAs for price, we got married on a Friday after labor day and this reduced our costs. The cake is included and made by a local bakery. The food is worth more than you pay per plate. Everyone raved over the meal and the cocktail hour. We are so pleased with how everything turned out. Meet the Breakers on the Ocean Team
Shannon DiBenedetto (Director of Sales) Shannon started her hospitality career with Hilton Hotels in Washington, D.C. after graduating from American University. Shannon planned two Inaugural Balls in addition to several staple Washington, D.C. events such as the Alfalfa Club Dinner & Gridiron Dinner before moving to Reno, Nevada and becoming a Casino Catering & Convention Services Sales Manager. Shannon then moved to Miami Beach where she switched careers and became a banker in Bal Harbour, Florida. Shannon then returned to her family in Spring Lake and her love of event planning and has been with The Breakers over 20 years.
