Camp Aramoni is a boutique campground and wedding venue awaiting your discovery just 90 minutes southwest of Chicago near the picturesque Starved Rock State Park. This historical site was once home to a brickyard that operated from 1870 to 1981. Bricks & Stones was originally used as a blacksmith shop at the brickyard, and it has since been renovated to include modern amenities while also preserving its original architecture. The boutique campground is located nearby and includes 11 safari-style tents with lavish beds, air conditioning, en-suite restrooms, hardwood floors and personal outdoor decks.
Bricks & Stones is the only wedding venue in the Midwest located on a former brickyard. Upon entering the building, guests are greeted by its rustic industrial charm and grand fireplace. The indoor space includes seating for up to 80 guests in addition to a full-service bar, caterer's kitchen, five private restrooms, WiFi and audiovisual equipment. The Bowers Suite is a private getting-ready space that includes garment racks, comfortable vintage seating, fogged windows for privacy and an en-suite restroom with a shower.
Bricks & Stones then effortlessly transitions into a large outdoor lawn with a covered pavilion. The space also includes a large deck overlooking the Vermilion River, two ponds and native Illinois wildflowers. The open lawn features three historical brick kilns and a fountain in addition to an outdoor kitchen equipped with a wood fired oven. An outdoor ceremony set up is included in the rental fee and on-site parking is available.
Camp Aramoni is also the first and only boutique campground in Illinois. Located along the Vermilion River, the campground offers lavish accommodations in a secluded natural landscape. The site includes 11 luxury tents with accommodations for up to 48 of your closest friends and family. Nightly rates include breakfast, dinner and nightly gourmet s'mores. In addition to chef curated meals and breathtaking views, the campground is enveloped in miles of private hiking trails waiting to be explored. You and your guests may choose to relax in your tent or enjoy on-site activities like yoga classes, guided hikes, picnics in the woods and nightly communal bonfires.
The tents combine exciting camping experiences with the best of hotel amenities. Designed and styled exclusively for Camp Aramoni in South Africa, each tent is equipped with electricity, heating, cooling and plumbing. Further amenities include lavish beds, an en-suite restroom, mini fridge, complimentary toiletries, casual indoor seating, your own personal bonfire pit and firewood bundles. Camp Aramoni also offers a honeymoon suite for you and your partner to stay in at a discounted rate.
If you're ready to transform your wedding day into a weekend-long celebration, a full weekend buyout of the entire campground and event space is also available.

Bricks & Stones at Camp Aramoni Reviews
Rachel Waring-Sparks(other)5 out of 5 Rating
If you are looking for a dreamy LGBTQ+ friendly wedding venue that will do everything in their power to make your wedding absolutely perfect (including having your dog involved!), look no further than Camp Aramoni. My wife and I had our wedding here in October 2023 and had a truly magical experience. Here are our top 3 reasons to rave about Camp Aramoni as a wedding/event venue (in no particular order).1) It is a beautifully restored historic venue surrounded by a natural prairie with plenty of spots for gorgeous photos, some of ours shared here.2) Andrea Mason, the event manager, is a true partner in your wedding planning. She is super responsive via email, gets as much information as possible about your vision for your wedding, meets with you multiple times before your wedding to ensure you’re on the same page, and will pull out all the stops the day of your wedding to make sure it’s the perfect day. The assistant event manager Gretchen and the rest of the staff is equally incredible - you will feel so cared for and celebrated by every person there.3) The food is AMAZING. As some other reviews have said, don’t even bother with external catering. Chef Carmen is outstanding and so talented - all of our guests raved about all the food. We had a number of dietary restrictions on our guest list and they were very accommodating, providing individual plated meals when necessary and clearly marking which dishes were dairy-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, etc. Finally, don’t skip the appetizers/grazing platters - almost three months later, our family members are still talking about the pretzel bites, meatballs, and grilled cheese shooters.Bonus reason #4 if you’ve read this far: stay in one of the tents on-site for your wedding weekend if you are able to! The staff at the campground are just as incredible as the staff at the event center, the tents are so dreamy, and you will feel like you are the guests of honor for the duration of your stay. We truly had the best weekend of our lives and are so grateful to have come across this venue and amazing team. Reviewed on 28-12-2023

From the first time I set foot in the property, I knew I had to get married at Bricks and Stones. From there is just got better and better. Having a venue that came with a coordinator was a game changer. Andrea is so fun and easy to work with and her attention to detail, no matter how big or small, was amazing! She can truly take your vision and turn it into a reality. Bricks and Stones is a one stop shop for your wedding weekend from the rehearsal and dinner being at the venue to the bridal suite packages to the catering for your dinner. All the staff were so friendly and amazing to work with that they truly provide a stress free wedding day atmosphere! I think the saddest part about the wedding being over is no more trips to visit the beautiful venue. You really cannot go wrong with choosing Bricks and Stones to host your wedding! The quality of service of this venue is unmatched. The staff is so wonderful we loved every single one of them. They made our wedding perfect from Friday when we arrived in a rain storm. Throughout wedding day they they kept everyone happy and we wanted for nothing. The food was exceptional. The grounds were stunningly beautiful and well maintained. The tents were immaculate! Probably one of the best parts of the weekend. Andrea the venue coordinator was so perfect, she really understands how to run a wedding and will keep you completely at ease on the most stressful day of your life. If I had to go back and change anything I wouldn’t, it was the perfect event, perfect weekend, perfect location. We are so happy with our choice of Camp Aramoni. Can’t thank them enough! We got married at Bricks & Stones in June of 2023. We also stayed in the campground along with a handful of our guests for 3 nights. From our very first email correspondence, we felt the venue was organized and really cared about fulfilling our vision for our big day. Once we had our venue tour with Andrea Mason (the venue coordinator) we knew our hearts were set on having our wedding there. Her organization, attention to detail, and the time she took to make sure she answered any of our questions was irreplaceable and in our minds we knew we couldn’t get married anywhere else if Andrea wasn’t our event coordinator. She checked in with us monthly from the time we booked the venue to the month of our wedding, always responded to our emails promptly, and made an effort to get to know us and our wedding view through her emails and in person meetings. She was so thorough and took as much time as we needed during our meetings, which reduced our stress and made us feel so at ease throughout the process from start to finish. Now for day of the wedding—Andrea set up our entire venue space after providing her with an inspiration photo. She also guided us in our decision to move the dancing from outdoors to indoors due to weather, helped us through our rehearsal the evening prior, helped everyone line up and told everyone when to start walking, and even placed the leftover dried orange slices from our table on our cake to decorate it after asking her to at the last minute. It turned out incredible! She truly went above and beyond our expectations to make our wedding dreams a reality!Getting ready in the Bowers Suite was amazing. We ordered fruit, pastries and finger sandwiches which went above and beyond our expectations as well. Everything was made in house and delicious! They also had a really great playlist playing for us to get ready to. The bartenders and other staff working our event were also 5/5 stars. They were kind, friendly, and attentive to all and the clean up of the event was seamless and fast. The shuttle driver was also amazing! All of this truly allowed us to have the best day of our lives at Bricks & Stones and Camp Aramoni. Future Brides and Grooms, do not hesitate to book this venue or at the very least go on a tour and see how wonderful it is for yourself. THANK YOU! Reviewed on 14-07-2023

Venue and events manager Andrea and general manager Stephanie showed me so much compassion and understanding. They were in frequent communication with me and made sure I was comfortable and happy with every step forward. I knew I was in the best of hands. The day of was handled with such grace and expertise. Andrea and Stephanie and their team handled everything down to setting up and packing up at the end. At one point I was frustrated with my DJ for not working with what I wanted, and they even called him for me and set up the perfect timeline. \"Above and beyond\" doesn't begin to cover the care, attention and detail they put into our special day. I also highly recommend staying on the luxury camp ground with your wedding party, I got to spend 2 nights with my favorite people celebrating with amazing food and drinks and service. 10/10 Reviewed on 26-11-2022

Stephanie Stover(other)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-10-2022 Camp Aramoni - when I arrived, despite having text them my arrival time - 3pm (per their request), and added that rehearsal is at 4pm and a swift turnover would be appreciated - as well as having called and spoken to Stephanie (a site manager) on my drive there - not a soul was to be found when I arrived for check in promptly at 3pm. I called while standing in the barn at the check in counter only to receive no answer. I then text them to say, I’m here. A few minutes later a woman came in and said they were attending a training session in the airstream outside. Tent - Bellflower: after walking 2 blocks (no joke) from the parking lot and once we got past the spider webs that covered the handrails - the inside was pretty nice. Nice furnishings and decor. The bed was very comfortable. However, there was no iron and when you walked around everything on the credenza rattled. Which was a bit annoying. The temperature inside the tent was difficult to regulate as well. Food - 2 meals are included in the price. Breakfast was not very good at all. Certainty not as “gourmet” as they advertise. What is stated on the menu - is quite different than what is served for breakfast. Dinner we did not bother with. There was nothing on the menu that we liked. Bricks & Stones - gorgeous venue! Very kind and flexible staff. Was not impressed with the cleanup of our property though. We had large taper and pillar candle holders in boxes with styrofoam placements for each. After setting up for the event, their staff thought it would be a good idea to throw the boxes away!! And when clean up time came around they just piled them all up on top of each other in various random boxes. Some were even mixed in with the brides hangers and personal effects from the Bauer suite. When returning in the morning to find our things this way, and unable to find the other boxes - we inquired with the owner. She was certain they would not have thrown the boxes away; however, we did land up finding the boxes in their dumpster and then repacked everything properly. Reviewed on 02-11-2022

Serenity Lenhausen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-06-2022 Our wedding on June 11th, 2022 was a day that I’ll never top! It was honestly better than I could have ever dreamed! Andrea was the most wonderful coordinator- especially with getting my wedding kind of thrown in her lap two months out! She was informative, organized, resourceful, very kind, and SUCH AN AMAZING person to have on my wedding team! The venue: The Camp Aramoni team set up everything for me day of, and kept my friends and family who were getting ready with me comfortable and happy-which means a lot to me! We had food delivered to the bowers suite for the ladies and to the barn for the gentlemen- which was delicious! Highly recommend the breakfast burritos- they’re the size of my face! The staff helped everything behind the scenes happen without me noticing so that I didn’t have to be concerned with the “extra stuff” (like getting my arch inside to put behind my sweetheart table after the ceremony and SO MUCH MORE). I could not recommend this venue and their staff more! The campground:We stayed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. Night one was our rehearsal, we finished with that, had dinner in the barn, and stayed in the flora and fauna tent. It was LUXURIOUS! Heat and air, a full bathroom, and falling asleep to the sound of the river was dreamy! Day two was WEDDING DAY!!! Day three we slept in! Muuuch needed! After that we went to brunch- the food was to die for (again)! Kyle enjoyed a yummy Bloody Mary, they had some delicious goodies! After that we went back to the tent and opened our cards and relaxed! Then we had a picnic scheduled- they had a golf cart take us to a secluded spot next to the river that was set up SO nicely and again such good food and snacks! Then we went for a hike on the trails before cleaning up and going to dinner. Kyle and I stayed up at the barn playing cards and connect four on the deck while drinking some cocktails made in their airstream bar for hours! That next morning we packed up, had breakfast, and checked out! Reviewed on 15-06-2022
