Brownstone Gardens is an outdoor garden wedding venue located in Oakley, California. Considered one of the hidden jewels of East Contra Costa County, couples will be shaded by the graceful Crepe Myrtle trees as they exchange their vows at the classically designed temple. Later, dance the night away under the twinkling lights threaded along the tree branches of the majestic Mulberry trees. Brownstone Gardens provides professional staff and event coordination services to make sure your special day is everything you dreamed it to be. Facilities and Capacity Couples can accommodate up to 300 guests at this garden venue. Tall mulberry, sycamore trees, green shrubbery and seasonal flowers will encase you at this magical location. You'll be delighted with a fragrant Rose Garden as you enter the property. Guests will enjoy a tranquil koi pond and waterfall in the Koi Garden. A 65 foot long stone aisle way ends at the classically designed temple-the most popular location for ceremonies. Blooming Crepe myrtle trees and rose covered trellis surround the Grand Courtyard. The Bridal Falls area features a 12-foot waterfall that adds the magical sound of falling water. The majestic Mulberry & Sycamore trees provide a lush green canopy overhead. The tree branches are threaded with twinkling lights that just add that final special touch The Koi Gardens Patio area is designed for the larger events with the overhead tent-like lights. The area is surrounded by seasonal flowers for an on-going colorful display.

Brownstone, where do I begin?Thank you for giving us the wedding of our absolute dreams, and a night that we will remember for the rest of our lives.My wife and I chose Brownstone to host our wedding early in 2020 after visiting the grounds and speaking with Barbara, Brownstone's manager. Even though it was quite out of the way, the venue itself was beautiful, and Barbara gave us confidence that she could take care of business.Then the pandemic hit--and our wedding was delayed for a year. But we stuck with Brownstone, and boy, are we glad we did.Prior to our wedding night, we had never seen Brownstone at night (only in photos)... but actually seeing it at night, it was absolutely magical, and more beautiful than we could have imagined.The night went flawlessly--from the ceremony in the courtyard, to the sunset shots, to dinner under the lights, to desserts and dancing at Bridal Falls. We had guests with kids, so we ordered the Kids Package, which included a bouncy castle, face painting, and pizza for the little ones, and they loved it. Barbara made sure everything was taken care of, and it absolutely was. Thank you Brownstone, and Barbara, for a magical night that we will remember forever.

This was the first venue we visited and nothing else came close to what they offered. We ended up going back and signing the contract within the week. Both Amanda and Barbara were fantastic to work with, the venue is gorgeous, and the vendors they recommended were perfect! I highly recommend this venue

This was the first venue we visited and nothing else came close to what they offered. We ended up going back and signing the contract within the week. Both Amanda and Barbara were fantastic to work with, the venue is gorgeous, and the vendors they recommended were perfect! I highly recommend this venue

Brownstone Gardens truly delivered the perfect place to celebrate one of the most important nights of our lives. From the spectacular staff and meticulously kept grounds, Brownstone was the perfect joining of venue and atmosphere that left our friends and family in the feeling of pure astonishment. Barbara and her staff were exceptional in keeping the reception moving and coordinating the logistics of having multiple vendors and a large guest count to manage. My wife and I were so confident in their work even leading up to the wedding that we never stressed about anything during our 5-hour celebration. And if not breaking a sweat during such a crucial moment in our life says anything, then I don't know what a higher recommendation is.Our coordinator, Barbara, was always communicative, fastidious of her work, and masterfully open to how we wanted our wedding to be fully imagined. She took our ideas, helped us out on what she has seen historically work, and executed them on our night without a hitch. Our table settings, wedding programs, dance floor, dueling pianos, bar, photo booth, ceremony seating, aisle décor, seating arrangement, buffet line, wedding cake, cupcake table, cocktail hour, theme colors, and lighting were just perfect. They took incredible care of us.Brownstone Gardens Estate itself is an oasis. It has a huge parking lot to accommodate a lot of guests. There’s a phone charging station. Having the extra bridal room was super useful when the bride and I had to change to our various outfit throughout the night. The living garden area where we had our ceremony is a fairytale setting. There was never a time when I looked away from my wife and I didn’t see one of our guests taking photos of the waterfalls or trees or lights, or at least incorporating focal points of Brownstone into their photos. We had our first look at the koi gardens which was also picturesque. The tree canopy in bridal falls is not only beautiful but keeps the temperature down. The day of our wedding the temperature was 95° at noon but under the canopy felt about 10° cooler, with that figure dropping rapidly as the night wore on. So, we planned our wedding to start later in the evening at 5pm to compensate. No big deal. By the time it was 8pm it was 70°. It still amazes me that given such a large complex and large group of people, the staff could easily move everyone from one part of the venue onto the next seamlessly.A lot of guests came up to us and complimented on how beautiful the wedding was. But honestly, when you have a place like Brownstone Gardens as the backdrop, they make it easy.

Coming from the service industry I had a high level of expectations for my wedding. I have managed and seen 100s of weddings. From the beginning Barbara was quick to respond to each of my emails. On the day of, her and her staff showed my guests a high level of hospitality that I could not be happier with. As I know, each event may not always go as planned and the unexpected may pop up. When those things happened they were quick to problem solve and make the best of the situation. I did not have to worry or feel like I was working!! Thank you for Anticipating my every need and making my wedding day so special!

Brownstone was the first venue we had visited and we completely fell in love with all the outdoors areas + gorgeous garden - it was exactly what we were looking for!! We had a pleasure of working with Barbara and she was so so amazing!!! So on top of everything and always so patient with my million and one questions - she really helped ease any anxiety leading up to the day! We still get teary eyed thinking about our wedding day and wish we go do it all over again every.single.weekend!! Our wedding day was absolutely a fairy tale and we are SO thankful to Brownstone!!

I honestly can say that choosing Brownstone Gardens for our wedding venue was the best choice we could have made. The garden setting is truly magical and unique. Barbara was our wedding planner and kept the day running incredibly smoothly. She will work with you to ensure you have the day of your dreams, with as little stress as possible. I would do it all over again in a heartbeat!!

This venue was absolutely perfect for my wedding. I cannot imagine and more beautiful place to get married at. Everyone at our wedding came up to us and told us how beautiful the venue was and wanted to know how we found it. They also made the wedding so effortless for us by coordinating with our venues (the majority of which were their preferred vendors) which made it so there was less I had to do in the days before the wedding. They were a pleasure to work with! Barbara is amazing and my wedding would not have been as perfect as it was without her. \rAfter we looked at this venue we could not have imagined getting married anywhere else.

Brownstone Gardens is a gorgeous hidden gem in the back country of Oakley, CA. When I saw this place, I know it wad the place I wanted to get married. I signed the contract ave never doubted it. They were incredibly helpful leading up to and on the day of the wedding. Barbara even had a spare garter on hand when I forgot my own! Wonderful experience, would definitely recommend them to everyone

LOVED having our wedding here! It was so beautiful and the staff was wonderful! Everyone had such a great time and said how gorgeous the place is! Because the venue is so beautiful, you don't have to do as much work to make your wedding look great. There were a couple of details that I noticed weren't out, so I had to make sure someone got their attention, and they fixed it right away. They are very helpful in recommending other vendors, and they're all so great!

LOVED having our wedding here! It was so beautiful and the staff was wonderful! Everyone had such a great time and said how gorgeous the place is! Because the venue is so beautiful, you don't have to do as much work to make your wedding look great. My husband and I just got married here and all I can say is wow! This was the one and only venue we looked at and we just fell in love with the intimate feeling and the gorgeous garden setting. Your site fee covers all the tables, chairs, basic linens, glassware, heaters if it's cold, tents if it rains and so much more. Amazing venue, great staff and an incredible place to host any event! When the sun goes down and the little white lights fill a canopy of trees over the reception area...it's simply magical.
