Welcome to Bryn Du Mansion and Fieldhouse
At Bryn Du the 52 acre estates surrounding areas are filled with many different types of locations for your event. Our expansive patios, beautiful mansion and spacious Fieldhouse offer a variety of options depending on what you have in mind for your big day. Our Carriage House is used for showers and rehearsal dinners. Brides can get ready in the Mansion bridal suite. Here, you can choose your own caterer and bring your own alcohol products allowing you to tailor your event to your mood and tastes. While we provide this wonderful location, we also work with your caterer and other vendors to make your day as special as possible. Our staff is here to make your day worry free, flexibility and a stress free day is what we strive for. The Estate is yours for the day; no 4 hour windows here!

We just recently had our wedding reception at the Bryn Du Field House on 12/31/2021. We started working with Bruce & Athena in 2019 when planning the first scheduled wedding. Due to Covid, we rescheduled our wedding three times; each of which Bruce & Athena were there to make the transition for us as smooth as possible. To think what their business must have been going through during the past few years, to have them there for us with a smile on their faces and willing to do whatever they needed to satisfy us, is something we will hold close to our hearts forever. Their passion to have each event be exactly what their client wants is something that is so obvious in any interaction. They were beyond accommodating any time we wanted to stop by and see the venue, had any questions or needed our vendors' questions answered. I would work with them and have our reception at Bryn Du a hundred times over. They are organized and have an itinerary for all tasks needed completed; they provide a recommended vendor list and they are there for any assistance during the day of the event. They are such a pleasure to be around and I will miss the constant interaction with them. It is rare to work with people for one event and be left with the feeling of, I hope to know them forever; but that is how they made us feel. If you are deciding between venues for your event, we recommend going with Bryn Du. Not only was our event beautiful with compliments galore, it was such a peaceful process that every person planning an event deserves to have which was made possible by the people of Bryn Du.

Bruce and Athena were amazing! We got married on the Terrace and had the reception in the Fieldhouse. We also rented the carriage house for the bridal party to get ready in and it was a perfect day! We had an incredible wedding day (and planning) experience with Bruce, Athena, and the team at Bryn Du. My wife and opted to go for the Mansion space, and use tents outside if the weather turned out (it did). The space is beautiful, huge outdoor options with perfect gardens alongside very classic structures in the Mansion. You cannot go wrong.We appreciate all the consultation, advice, and past experience the team drew on for our big day.The space is huge, another wedding was going on at the field house on the same day and we did not even notice it. I could go on for days about how amazing Bruce and Athena are. We had our wedding at Bryn Du this past July and couldn't have imagined picking a better venue. Bruce and Athena are so helpful and always had an answer for my never ending emails full of questions. Someone is on site for the event until it's over in case anything happens or you need anything. It was a nice peace of mind to have and everything went so smooth and so perfectly. We really liked being able to pick our own vendors and bring in our own alcohol, it really helped keep costs low and in budget. We used the garden space for our ceremony and the back yard for our tent reception and back porch for our bar/cocktail hour area. I couldn't have imagined a more beautiful day and am so grateful for Bryn Du and the staff for making our wedding perfect.

Bruce and Athena were wonderful to work with, before and after we booked the venue. They made everything very clear and I always knew what was going on. One of them was on site during the wedding day in case something went wrong, but they did not hover. I highly recommend booking Bryn Du Mansion. It is a great price with a lot of flexibility with how you want you wedding to be. There is no required caterer, photographer, or anything. They do give a list of recommended vendors who have worked there before, but you are not required to use them. We got married in May at the Mansion. This is a really lovely venue with great perks. You can provide your own alcohol, which cuts costs. Bruce is a really kind director and he helped me often and quickly. The mansion fits small weddings—ours was about 80. We wanted to use the front portico as the dance area so it would be more open, but sadly it rained. We had also booked the beautiful garden for the ceremony but couldn’t use it because of the rain. Sadly, no refund for that. But Bryn Du was really ideal for us and we were quite happy with our choice! It is beautiful!

We got married towards the end of March in the fieldhouse. I visited a few other places before selecting Bryn Du. I knew the moment I walked into the fieldhouse that it would give me the princess wedding I had always dreamed of. Everyone that attended the wedding couldn't stop talking about how amazing the wedding was. If you decide to get married at Bryn Du use Pat to do the light decorating. It costs a little but worth every penny. Bryn Du made my wedding perfect!

The Bryn Du Mansion was a wonderful venue and really made our wedding the most special day of our lives. The flexibility of the spaces (we used the front porch for the ceremony, the Mansion for a cocktail hour, and the fieldhouse for the reception) really allowed us to decorate in just the perfect way. The fieldhouse was so versatile and looked gorgeous for the big day. We were able to bring our own vendors, which allowed us to work around and find best matches to our tastes. Bruce and Athena have so many connections in the Granville/Columbus area, that finding those perfect vendors were a cinch! They were also so helpful and communicative beforehand, answering any questions and providing recommendations, but also day of, helping to guide our guests to each part of the day's events. The Bryn Du Mansion was amazing and we would recommend it to anyone thinking of getting married in the Columbus area!

The flexibility of the spaces (we used the front porch for the ceremony, the Mansion for a cocktail hour, and the fieldhouse for the reception) really allowed us to decorate in just the perfect way. The fieldhouse was so versatile and looked gorgeous for the big day. We were able to bring our own vendors, which allowed us to work around and find best matches to our tastes. Bruce and Athena have so many connections in the Granville/Columbus area, that finding those perfect vendors were a cinch! They were also so helpful and communicative beforehand, answering any questions and providing recommendations, but also day of, helping to guide our guests to each part of the day's events. The Bryn Du Mansion was amazing and we would recommend it to anyone thinking of getting married in the Columbus area!

Bryn Du is a beautiful venue & all of our guests raved about the scenery and how perfect it was! The only thing keeping me from giving Bryn Du a five star rating is their communication. There were times when items weren't communicated clearly with us leading up to our big day. When certain buildings would be unlocked, when we needed to have everything out of the buildings and certain spaces, etc. Otherwise, the staff is extremely helpful and was always willing to lend a helping hand! It is a little odd that the venue doesn't have its own tables, chairs, etc. considering how many events they hold and the rental cost of the property. We were responsible for finding all of our own rentals. However, they do have a list of preferred vendors on their website, which made research easier. The grounds are well-kept, with the exception of a few flower beds that seemed neglected due to the large amount of grass area that I'm sure is the main point of attention. I would recommend Bryn Du to any couple looking for a venue in central Ohio. I would just suggest really nailing down expectations for communication as you sign your contract.

We got married outside the mansion overlooking the 40+ acres, had our cocktail hour in the mansion itself, then had the reception in the fieldhouse. We loved that everything was at one location and no one had to travel. Bruce and Athena were very responsive with emails and phone calls and always accommodated to our questions or if we wanted to stop by! Another plus is you get to hire your own vendors and bring your own alcohol (definitely saved us a lot of money) and it really was our vision.

I can't say enough about how amazing our experience was at Bryn Du. My husband and I were married there on 05/19/2018, and everyone commented on how amazing our venue was. They have options to rent out either the Fieldhouse or the mansion, and we actually ended up doing both. It really opened up a ton of possibilities for our day, and we were able to transition guests smoothly around the grounds, and they were consistently surprised with discovering the new areas. This was actually the only venue we toured! It is so beautiful, it has that old-world charm, but is wonderfully kept up and has all modern amenities. The venue is super affordable, which is a huge plus! Even the drive up to the mansion is breath-taking. You will feel like you have stepped back in time. I cannot speak highly enough of Bruce and Athena. They were so, so accommodating to Jake and I. We truly felt welcomed by them, and knew they were invested in us having a great day. Whenever we came to the mansion we were greeted as old friends. They took my Type-A planning in stride, and help to organize and plan alongside myself and our vendors, which I know helped so much towards the success of the day. Planning and having our wedding at Bryn Du was actually FUN! Schedule a visit! You won't regret it, I promise! (Pro Tip-their list of preferred vendors is awesome, definitely review it!)

Bruce and Athena were both so easy to work with. I had fallen in love with this venue the first day I drove past it. I loved that they had a bridal suite upstairs for me to get ready in. We used the entire first floor of the Mansion and were even able to come in the day before to set up! Many of my nieces and nephews loved running around the grounds during our reception. We loved their suggestion to put up photos of our families on the giant mantelpieces, it felt very homey. Even though they usually have two weddings at the same time (Mansion and Fieldhouse), no one had problems finding our wedding and I never felt like we were ignored or neglected the day of. This is a great historical treasure of the area and I am glad we were able to support it and the wonderful programs they put on by having our wedding at Bryn Du!

You are able to choose your own vendors but they also have excellent suggestions if you need them. We used the garden for the ceremony, the mansion for the cocktail hour and the field house for the reception. You can tailor your wedding to make it the wedding of your dreams and they were very accommodating and flexible. Many of my friends said it was the most beautiful wedding they had every been too. I would highly recommend having a wedding there. It is a stunning venue.

We had our wedding in the field house at the mansion and it was wonderful. It's such a beautiful venue! The ceremony was supposed to be held on the terrace, cocktail hour on the balcony, and reception inside the actual field house. It ended up raining on the day of our wedding so we had to move everything inside but it worked out anyway. We were able to use the stairs inside to walk in for the ceremony and it ended up being a nice touch. The outdoor grounds are beautiful and don't need much decorating, inside the Fieldhouse will need quit a bit of decorating though. But if your like me that's perfect because I wanted to put my own touch on everything! We were able to come in on Friday at any time and get things ready so that was nice. Bruce and Athena are great to work with and such nice people! They are very accommodating, easy to get ahold of, and just genuine people. I would definitely recommend any area of the mansions grounds and I am so happy we had our wedding there!

We used the Fieldhouse patio for our ceremony, the terrace for our cocktail hour, and the fieldhouse for the reception. Everything flowed seamlessly. The grounds are beautiful and Bruce and Athena were beyond friendly and accommodating. We planned from out of state and they were so helpful between calls and emails we got everything done. There was another wedding at the mansion the same day as ours but we did not even notice, they are far enough away from each other. Upstairs in the fieldhouse has a bar and bathrooms and downstairs is huge with bathrooms a small kitchen and plenty of event space. We had about 160 people and plenty of dance floor space but I believe it can fit almost double that. The big thing for us was being able to bring in our own alcohol, we more than made up for the cost of the venue with the amount we saved on alcohol. Overall we had a perfect day!

So far we have only toured this venue, but we had a fantastic experience when we were there. The venue is quiet, clean and beautiful with a TON of different combinations of options for ceremony and reception venues.

I still remember looking up the Bryn Du on the knot and visiting their website thinking, \"this is very interesting and may be perfect\". I liked the character of the mansion, so we scheduled for an appointment to see it. It was nice that the website is up front with all their fees and amenities.. it's definitely a blank slate, but that's what made it perfect for us.\r\rThe Bryn du was our first pick with all the sites unseen, even though it was further away than we would have liked. But when we drove past the gates, up to the parking lot... everything looked beautiful. My family is Chinese, and as a family business we did Chinese antiques and crafts, so the details in the mansion, how well it is kept, the large columns and swings on the front portico; everything was perfect. When we drove home my then fiance asked, \"do we even need to see other places?\" I replied with full confidence, \"no honey, I think we've found it.\"\r\rBruce and Athena were both very helpful, and have great advice and suggestions... Sure, throughout the process of planning and trying to coordinate everything from Columbus, it proved to be tricky and patience testing.. but everything worked out beautifully in the end. \r\rI wouldn't do anything different. It was picture perfect; with the big Chinese lanterns, many other Chinese wedding festivities details... loved every bit of it. Thank you Bruce and Athena for such a great, magical place that will forever hold an important place in our hearts.

My husband and I just recently got married at Bryn Du in the Mansion with just shy of 100 guests. We got so many compliments on the venue, which is set in Granville, OH on a beautiful and HUGE lot with tons of mature trees and other historical buildings. The mansion captured that classy yet approachable vibe that we were looking for.\r\rWorking with Bruce and Athena (and Quincy!) was wonderful. They are so flexible, unlike many other venues in the area. We got married on a Saturday and we were able to get into the mansion to start setting up on Friday morning, hold our rehearsal there Friday evening, and then we had the mansion all day on Saturday. The flexibility in when we could be in the venue was a major stress relief. \r\rWe ended up working with a caterer and rental company that were listed as preferred vendors for Bryn Du (which I highly recommend since they were SO knowledgeable about the venue and working with Bruce that I ended up having very little to figure out!), but they are very flexible to letting you pick your vendors.\r\rAs far as price, Bryn Du is very affordable and they offer a lot of great amenities. They provide chairs and tables (though you can work with a 3rd party vendor, like I did, to order additional tables and different chairs), they have a kitchen on site, are handicap accessible, have a HUGE parking lot, and are very easy to get to.\r\rFrom the beautiful mansion, the expansive land, the great cost, and extreme ease of planning, it was perfect.

My daughters wedding this past weekend was at the Bryn Du Mansion. It was a gorgeous setting. I rented the entire facility and could not be happier. Gave us many options for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Athena and Bruce were on hand all weekend and very helpful. If you are looking for a unique special location this is it!! We had our guests stay at Cherry Valley Lodge, which worked out beautifully. \rI highly recommend Bryn Du Mansion!!

My daughters wedding this past weekend was at the Bryn Du Mansion. It was a gorgeous setting. I rented the entire facility and could not be happier. Gave us many options for the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. Athena and Bruce were on hand all weekend and very helpful. If you are looking for a unique special location this is it!! This venue was perfect for our June wedding!!! Bruce and Athena were so great and easy to work with! We were able to choose any cater, dj, ect for this venue which let us personalize everything and work in our budget!! Great opts for pictures!!! Would highly recommend Bryn Du Mansion as we thoroughly enjoyed our Big Day!!!

We had our ceremony and reception at the Bryn Du Mansion in September. We had the ceremony on the front patio and the reception in a tent out back. The Bryn Du is basically a blank slate, you can bring in any vendors and pretty much have free reign over how to use the space. It was a lot of work to plan but I wanted to be able to be creative and make the decisions and it all turned our beautifully. Bruce and Athena are very laid back and we were able to set up on Friday because there was no one using the house that day which helped a lot. We also used the little bridal room upstairs which was a nice place to wait and finish getting ready before the ceremony. I think it is an extra $100 and we paid $1800 for use of the house (with a local Granville discount because my husband's mom lives there). They let you bring in your own alcohol which is a big bonus as well. We had another wedding ceremony outdoor at the Field House location (they have up to two weddings a day) running at the exact same time but you couldn't hear anything from the other event and the staff made sure guests went to the right spot. It was the perfect place for us because we wanted something a bit non traditional and outdoor so if you are willing to put in a little extra work and would like something unique and romantic I would highly recommend the Bryn Du!

Bryn du Mansion was an excellent choice for a vender. My ceremony was downtown Columbus, so it was a drive for my guest. It was a tough choice, but I am so glad I choose this location for my reception! It was so beautiful. Bruce was excellent to work with and my guests were so impressed by the mansion and the grounds.

Upon visiting Bryn Du, we instantly fell in love with the charming atmosphere and the lush outdoor space. We got married on the patio and held our reception inside the field house. Bryn Du is a venue that allowed us to be creative, bring in our own vendors, and also required a true DIY mindset to bring our vision to life. Bruce was amazing - extremely helpful and kind throughout the entire process from our initial booking to clean-up the next day. It was a magical day, set at a magical space.

This place is amazing! My wedding here was everything I wanted & more. This place rents you the facility under a few circumstances, this allows you to bring in your own alcohol & hire your own caterer. This saved us a lot of money in the long run. It is more hands on since you are required to set up & clean up, but it saved us money.

I really loved having my wedding at the Bryn Du Mansion. Everyone else loved it too! The only thing I'd see differently would be the fact that they didn't set up their own tables.

The venue is beautiful, comfortable, and great for DIY Brides. We were able to come on Friday and set up tables and centerpieces, which made Saturday easier. I was able to enjoy the time with my sisters instead of worrying about the reception. I was also able to come on Sunday to make sure the caterers had done a good job cleaning up. I got many compliments on my choice of venue. Bruce was friendly and very easy to work with.

The Bryn Du Mansion Estate in Granville, Ohio is more then beautiful but, don’t forget to check out their Field House. The Field House has a beautiful stone out door patio and terrace. The weather didn’t allow us to have the ceremony outdoors as we had planned but the Field House had more then enough room for us to move the ceremony indoors with reception seating as our back up plan.\rBruce was more then flexible to work with… he even allowed us to have our rehearsal dinner at the field house the night before the wedding. Please take into consideration that you will need to rent tables, chairs, linens, china, find a caterer, etc when using this location…. But, think of it as a blank canvas that you get to paint. You are not locked into a caterer that you may not like and if you are resourceful you can plan a beautiful wedding within any budget!

Like the other review noted you are only renting the building and surronding area, but it so beautiful. I was married last July and the view from the top area looking down on the grounds was so surreal. We had cocktail hour on the terrace. The atmosphere was just perfect. You can truly do alot with this building.\r\rThe man in charge was so easy to get ahold of worked with us on everything we needed.

Like the other review noted you are only renting the building and surronding area, but it so beautiful. I was married last July and the view from the top area looking down on the grounds was so surreal. We had cocktail hour on the terrace. The atmosphere was just perfect.
