Buffalo Ridge Resort & Spa is a magnificent wedding venue in Gary, SD. Established in 1900 as an educational facility for visually-impaired children, this beautiful, red-brick building and its surrounding property boast a rich history of rapid community development. In 2008, investor and entrepreneur Joe Kolbach acquired the estate, transforming it into South Dakota's number-one destination for happily ever afters. Resting on 37 acres of pristine pasture, Buffalo Ridge Resort & Spa accommodates gatherings of all capacities, from small, intimate get-togethers of 50 guests to kings-size celebrations of 300. Many outdoor event spaces are available, making the opportunities endless as you plan the wedding of your dreams. The Courtyard, a large, brick-laden patio with a roaring stone fireplace to pull it all together, is ideal for open-air ceremonies. If you're a little more outdoorsy, look no further than the Intimate Rustic Field, a woodland ceremony site shaded by majestic oaks. The South Lawn, a manicured yard with mature trees, fresh hydrangeas, daylilies, and a paved patio with sleek stone stairs, can host ceremonies, cocktail parties, and receptions. Beer, liquor, and other celebratory beverages can be purchased at the Rock Room Bar and Grill, which boasts a fine selection of smooth, hearty drinks. From chairs and tables to decorations, Buffalo Ridge Resort & Spa provides all the essentials for a meaningful, memorable celebration. You won't have to worry about catering, as the on-site restaurant has plenty of sweet, spicy, and savory dishes to pick from. The Herrick Hotel and Woodbury Hall, two luxury inns, are conveniently located on campus, giving out-of-town guests easy access to their rooms and suites.
