Burdoc Farms is the 700 acre Shepherd family farm located in the rolling hills of Western Kentucky. With over 2 wedding venues to chose from, whether you like a rustic barn venue or a modern industrial venue, you dream wedding will be realized at Burdoc Farms. The wedding business was started in 2012 with the conversion of the equipment barn, now known as The Chapel Barn. Then the rehabilitation of the The Tobacco Barn followed. The Shepherd family painstakingly rehabbed and recycled all materials in both barns to enhance and preserve the authenticity of the buildings. Keith Glen, the newest venue, was built in 2016. This venue has a glass wall, stone fireplace and wood features that add to its uniqueness. Keith Glen is a year round facility that sits in the woods, facing a pond.

Beautiful farm! Sarah is wonderful to work with. My daughter chose to have her reception in the tobacco barn and it is gorgeous!! My only complaints would be that it needed some TLC, a little upkeep, just little things, no major problems. Very accommodating, easy to work with, so friendly. Definately recommending to friends! It was a perfect, magical day!

Our wedding at the Keith Glenn venue on the farm was so beautiful! It was a perfect day made all the better by gorgeous trees, wildflowers, and the natural rustic beauty of the site. All the features were beautiful and the amenities inside were both practical and aesthetically pleasing. The staff was amazing! Everyone is friendly and attentive. The owner, Sara, was one of the main reasons we went with this venue. She is incredibly helpful, patient, and kind. Most of the compliments we received on our day was about how incredible the venue was. So grateful we were able to have our special day here!

Such a beautiful venue!! The view is breathtaking and a must see! We had our reception at the Tobacco Barn and I couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out! The most beautiful venue!!! On top of being so beautiful the staff and owner were sooo helpful!!! Need any measurements on anything , or questions on how to set up, Sara, the owner, answered absolutely every single question I had !!! (I probably texted her twice a week with a question and she never complained about all my questions I had !!!)Day of our wedding was a breeze , we set up night before so day of went so easy and after her staff immediately jumped in and started their cleaning process , answered any questions we had about what we needed to do that night ! The day of, we had a couple of items needing attention and Sarah had her team out there in less than 30min to fix them fully. My now husband told me we couldn't cancel the tour to the other venue we had lined up that day, but honestly my mind was made when we met Sara and saw the Keith Glen venue @ Burdoc Farms. I told Sara that we were SOLD and sealed the deal that afternoon!! Sara was immediately so welcoming and to the point with all that she had to offer. She felt like family and we knew we could trust her and her staff to make our wedding the best day of our lives. It was a lovely getaway for us, and our guests were absolutely blown by how darling everything turned out. Our signature drinks were delicious and Sara has so many recommendations for wonderful vendors, which we actually picked our caterer from.

This venue is absolutely breathtaking. My daughter’s wedding was everything she had hoped for and more at Burdoc Farms. Sara was always prompt at responding to my questions and eager to help with anything I threw at her - even taking measurements of her mantle at 10 pm. Upon arriving at Burdoc Farms, my daughter and her fiancé immediately fell in love with the Keith Glenn building, so we booked it. Fast forward to August of this year. Their wedding was absolutely perfect. The owner and staff were great to work with and were very accommodating. We visited many venues in Southern Illinois and Western Kentucky and knew the minute we were on this beautiful property that Burdoc Farms was the only choice for our daughter’s wedding. From our initial visit to the end of the celebration, Ms Sara and her staff were welcoming, helpful, encouraging and always professional. We had the difficult situation of postponement due to the pandemic. Ms Sara immediately offered options and made it possible to reschedule. The wedding planner was responsive to our questions and guided us step by step through the process. The Keith Glenn was the perfect venue accommodating the rehearsal dinner, bridal and groomsmen dressing room needs, guests and overall functional facility layout. We elected the all inclusive, which helped minimize the task of selecting experienced and reliable vendors. The camper for pictures was enjoyed by the guests. I highly recommend Burdoc Farms for any event and have absolutely no regrets or complaint. Special thanks to Jessica, Lt Dan, Alaina and Chef Teeka for helping us create beautiful memories for the couple, family and friends of the Green & Polivick Wedding September 4, 2021.

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful venue. The Keith Glen building was the perfect hybrid of indoors and outdoors, the wall of windows is absolutely stunning. Burdoc Farms is a wonderful venue! We got married in the Keith Glen barn, in front of the beautiful floor-to -ceiling window. The venue owner, Sara, was friendly and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed for our big day! She, along with our other wonderful vendors, were very accommodating, as we had to postpone our wedding by an entire year due to Covid-19 related complications. The Keith Glen site had everything we could have possibly needed, including a catering kitchen, a bar, and spacious and attractive getting ready rooms. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to (finally) have our wedding :)

Sara booked us in right away for a tour and was incredibly helpful. She provided us with booklets and checklist to keep us on track. Answered every silly question I had before the wedding and always calmed my stressing. I loved that I could do my ceremony, pictures, and reception all at the same location. The area is beautiful and you will get amazing pictures. We were also able to have our dog there as a ring bearer, something very important to us that other venues didn't allow. We had our wedding at Burdoc Farms this March and it was beyond amazing. I couldn't have dreamed a better venue and knew as soon as I saw pictures that it was the one. We opted for the micro wedding and chose to have our wedding at the Keith Glenn site, although all the options would have been equally perfect. Sarah met with us and we explained our vision and she took care of the rest. When I say, she took care of the rest, I literally mean everything. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Everything was setup and included in the package. The micro wedding comes with everything; venue, bridal suite, DJ, flowers, catering, every aspect of what you see in lavish weddings but you don’t have to spend hours meeting and planning and organizing because you tell Sarah what you want and it magically happens. Our night was seamless. Our 30 guests were blown away at the experience and my husband and I were able to focus just on us and our guests. It was truly the wedding of our dreams.

Both the tobacco barn and the keith glen are stunning inside. The large windows and balcony at Keith Glen make for a very memorable view. The draping, chandeliers and fireplace are all show stoppers. They really add elegence to the site. As a florist I love designing at Burdoc. The space is perfect for any design and theme!

Both Burdoc Farms and the owners that take care of it are exceptional. We had our wedding there in September 2019. We booked our date over a year in advance because Burdoc is just that awesome. My husband, my parents, and I met Sara (the owner) there for a tour and immediately we knew that was the perfect place for our wedding ceremony. All 4 of us were in agreement and we didn’t even look elsewhere for a different venue before making our decision. Maybe it was the breathtaking view out of the glass wall of windows of the pond, or maybe it was the assurance that the day would be everything we dreamed of and more, but regardless we all saw that Burdoc is where your wedding dreams become reality. Whether you are wanting an indoor or outdoor ceremony either one is sure to be picture perfect, and the potential to have it indoors in case of a weather “Plan B” makes it even more appealing. Personally I didn’t have a wedding planner, but Sara told me from day one if I needed anything at all (getting in touch with vendors for flowers etc., right down to day of emergencies) she would be available. The day of our wedding everything went so smoothly that I honestly could not have pictured any better day to become one. No doubt about it, the family ran farm was the chief reason that the day went over so well. As the bride that means so much to know that the facility is clean and beautiful, the guests are happy, and having the peace of mind of being able to leave for your honeymoon in style knowing that the clean up is handled. This place is absolutely GORGEOUS! Sarah was very friendly and worked with us on everything that we needed! She was quick to respond AND she offers AMAZING prices! She offers two venues which are both amazing and the getting ready rooms made for great photos and relaxation! I could not be happier with my experience at Burdoc! I would HIGHLY recommend this venue!

The staff that cleaned up was very professional and helpful as well. The venue was so gorgeous. Everything was very clean and put together. We could not have been happier!

The staff that cleaned up was very professional and helpful as well. The venue was so gorgeous. Everything was very clean and put together. We could not have been happier!

BEST VENUE EVER! The owner is very helpful and response; she's always willing to help you out and answer any and all questions and helps you with finding other vendors as well. My wedding was at the Keith Glen building and it is absolutely gorgeous. It is perfect for the bride looking for a rustic feeling without having your wedding in a barn. Classy and rustic at the same time. I cannot imagine my wedding at any other venue! Highly recommend!

My wife and I spent many nights researching venues for our wedding. We wanted a rustic spot with a nice view. One night our google search landed us on Burdoc Farms and we instantly knew we wanted to get married on that property. We chose to have our ceremony at the pond, and reception inside the Keith Glenn, the beauty of the stone fireplace, wood and steel accents and farmhouse tables were perfect. The staff was great, they were so helpful. If I had to do it all over again I know for sure I would pick Burdoc Farms again.

My husband and I were beyond pleased with our wedding venue!!! They have amazing prices, and the absolute sweetest staff who will make you feel like family!!! We have been told at least 100 times that we had the prettiest wedding anyone has ever seen!!! We give a lot of credit of those comments to our amazing venue!!! It is absolutely stunning in every way. We could not imagine our wedding being anymore beautiful, or having it elsewhere! We love Burdoc Farms, and recommend them 100 times over!!!!

This is the most beautiful wedding venue you will find! Sara is absolutely wonderful and amazing to work with. The complete experience was flawless and friendly. As a lesbian couple, we had so much trouble finding a venue but Sara made us feel incredibly welcomed and loved. We rented the Keith Glen Event Center and it's too beautiful for words. Huge windows, two rooms on site to get ready in, a beautiful pond, and the flexibility to have an indoor or outdoor ceremony. We loved this venue and would recommend it to anyone!

The venue was STUNNING. It required very minimal decor because there are so many special touches throughout, indoor and out. Sara (the owner) immediately made us feel comfortable upon our arrival to tour her facility. Hands down the best vendor experience in our entire wedding planning process. She was kind and professional, but also very friendly and down to earth. She had a packet of all the information you would ever need, not only for her venue but also for the wedding planning process in general! We are a same sex couple that met many closed doors, and were not optimistic about our initial visit. However, we found an ally in Sara and her gorgeous farm. I will be referring this venue to anyone willing to listen and would choose it over and over again.

Burdoc Farms was a hidden gem that we were absolutely so fortunate to find. On our way to look at another wedding venue that we were completely disappointed by, we found Burdoc on The Knot after googling more venues nearby. We quickly called up the owner listed on the site and Sara Shepherd invited us to come take a tour on the spot - with no appointment. She was immediately welcoming and so down to earth, we already knew that we had found something special. The venue was breathtaking. Surrounded by trees in the forest, sat an adorable pond with swans and geese. The ceremony site was placed perfectly next to the pond with benches that overlooked the forest and just the right amount of sunlight seeping through. The reception facility was breathtaking. It featured high arched ceilings, beautiful wooden tables (didn't even need table runners or cloths), all the furniture/props you could imagine, up lighting, a modern bar, a prep kitchen, perfectly sized bride/groom suites for getting ready, plenty of staffing/assistance on the big day - it was perfect. Sara was helpful with absolutely anything we needed from her too, and boy were we needy at times. We never once felt like we made the wrong choice to have our wedding at Burdoc. If you are looking for a beautiful place with great staff and a welcoming, supportive atmosphere, Burdoc is amazing (especially in the fall!).

We got married at the at the Keith Glenn venue is so beautiful, has heat and AC, has a lot of different things you can use for your wedding and the staff was amazing. sara was so great at answering all my questions that I would randomly think of and putting together the venue for our day. Burdoc Farms is a naturally gorgeous venue, great for a DIY wedding. We got married at Keith Glenn, a building with a rustic yet classy feel surrounded by picture perfect scenery. Sara is very responsive to messages and patiently answers any questions or issues you may have. Everything up to the day of was great; full access to the venue starting Friday afternoon for our Saturday wedding, cooperation with vendors, and flexible with requests. The day of the wedding there were some surprises that we did not remember discussing during the contract. The worse issue was the heat. The bridal room got warm quickly (we had to keep the door open to let air circulate). The large glass wall is beautiful, but so hot! Several guests left early, or retreated to the getting ready rooms to escape the heat. The air conditioning cannot keep up. The party got significantly better once the sun went down. So, if you choose the Keith Glenn option, I recommend: do be sure to go over all the rules (especially bar/drink limitations), clarify what is included and what isn’t (like trash fees), and have your event later in the day. Otherwise, it really was a great venue. Our pictures were absolutely gorgeous and everyone commented on how beautiful the place was.

During our initial meeting with Sara she was so nice and welcoming to us and truly made us feel like Burdoc Farms was the venue for us! In addition to the gorgeous reception barn and wedding chapel, the bridal cottage and man cave were the perfect spots to get ready the day of the wedding! We absolutely loved everything about Burdoc Farms and know we made the best decision ever in choosing them as our wedding venue! I highly, highly recommend Sara and all that Burdoc Farms offers!

We had a lovely visit with this place with a wonderful experiance. They let our sons feed their ducks and swans. They loved it and it truly made for a great experiance. We had our ceremony and reception here in July and it was wonderful. Their grounds are well kept and just gorgeous. We used the Keith Glynn building due to having young children and elderly family members attending. Any questions we had were answered and they did what they could to help in any way. The only issue we had was towards the end when we were picking up for the evening. My mom and a staff member had a conflict about the staff members not helping with the chairs. She made a comment about my mom not really doing anything which my mom has had shoulder issues from work injuries and was helping as much as she could. Then right before leaving my mom went in to get my dress and the worker made a snarky comment about not hurting herself because it might be too heavy. It was really uncalled for and inperfessional in our opinions but was nothing too major to make me think less of the owners and of the venue its self. I would really recommend this place to anyone.

Burdoc Farms made our dream wedding possible! There are so many great things the venue has to offer! My husband and I got married at the Tobacco and Chapel Barn, and it was everything we could have hoped for. The grounds are stunning and the facilities are exactly what we needed to make our day epic! Sara- the owner of Burdoc- was SO accommodating and helpful when we needed her, without being overbearing! She made the selection of the venue a breeze, then in the months leading up to the wedding checked in regularly with reminders and ideas for our big day that were very useful! During the wedding weekend she made sure we had everything we needed at the chapel barn and the reception barn- even coming down and personally cleaning up the mess left by the wedding before us. She is so sweet and exactly what I wanted in a wedding \"host.\"I would recommend Burdoc Farms to any bride looking to have an amazing, laid back, outdoor wedding (they have an awesome indoor venue, too!) Our wedding day was epic and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

It was absolutely amazing the owner and her daughter did everything to help us out, even checked on us throughout the night. I want to give this venue 5 stars but due to the events on my wedding day I can only give 2. I purchased the more expensive package to include the building with AC. I live an hour and a half away from the venue but specifically chose Burdoc because it was the largest rustic venue I could find with AC near my hometown. Don’t let it fool you. The Keith Glen building is HOT. We asked multiple times throughout the day for the owner to make it cooler but her rule is that it must not go below 75 degrees. 75 degrees in a building with people trying to dance and have fun is not comfortable. Everyone was coming up to me and my parents telling us they had to leave early because their children could not handle the heat in the building. I am a person that is always cold and I was MISERABLY HOT. To add to the rudeness of the owner of not wanting to make us comfortable, the large window that is absolutely beautiful is actually everything you DO NOT WANT. The sun sets of that side of the building and the windows are poorly insulated and tinted. The majority of my guests were wearing sunglasses just to sit and eat dinner. The sun beating in blinds you and creates horrible lighting for your photographer. I had to sit at the head table looking down the entire time because I was blinded to look up at people that would come say hello. Another factor to the two stars is that the owner LEAD A TOUR straight through the middle of my reception. My mom had 20 people ask her why there was random people walking through my wedding. The owner did not even ask me. I understand that she must conduct business but I recall that the day she had me set up for a tour I had to schedule before noon if a wedding was taking place and then she CANCELLED on me the day before because it was going to rain. Why did she not give me the respect of having the tour before my guests arrived?? One more small thing, the rooms to get ready in locked from the inside automatically when shut. So multiple times throughout the day we had to call the owner and sit and wait for her to come unlock the doors. They need to provide doorstops and the doors do not need to automatically shut and lock in a place where there are multiple people going in and out. SO INCONVENIENT. Overall, the place is beautiful on the outside but I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this place to anyone due to the heat, the owner, and the functionality.

I want to give this venue 5 stars but due to the events on my wedding day I can only give 2. I purchased the more expensive package to include the building with AC. I live an hour and a half away from the venue but specifically chose Burdoc because it was the largest rustic venue I could find with AC near my hometown. Don’t let it fool you. The Keith Glen building is HOT. We asked multiple times throughout the day for the owner to make it cooler but her rule is that it must not go below 75 degrees. 75 degrees in a building with people trying to dance and have fun is not comfortable. Everyone was coming up to me and my parents telling us they had to leave early because their children could not handle the heat in the building. I am a person that is always cold and I was MISERABLY HOT. To add to the rudeness of the owner of not wanting to make us comfortable, the large window that is absolutely beautiful is actually everything you DO NOT WANT. The sun sets of that side of the building and the windows are poorly insulated and tinted. The majority of my guests were wearing sunglasses just to sit and eat dinner. The sun beating in blinds you and creates horrible lighting for your photographer. I had to sit at the head table looking down the entire time because I was blinded to look up at people that would come say hello. We had our dream Wedding at Burdoc Farms on July 7th and it was absolutely amazing. The venue is gorgeous. There was an abundance of space so my guests did not feel crammed and the views were to die for. The staff went above and beyond to make my day perfect. The bartender even left and rented us a new tap for our keg, as our rented one was broken. Everyone was friendly and had a smile on their face all night. My favorite part about the venue, besides the view, was having the bridal suite to get ready in! My girls loved it. There was room for my 6 girl bridal party, two flower girls, my mom and grandma all to get ready in at once while having two photographers, a makeup artist and a videographer in to capture it all as well. Burdoc Farms was the very first and only venue I toured, and this decision was one of the easiest throughout the wedding process for two reasons. One, the location is absolutely beautiful. The land as well as the venues are gorgeous and can be decorated to work with any brides style. It is also secluded and provides privacy. And two, the staff is one to rave about. Sara (the owner) has thought of everything I can assure you. She never took more than 5 minutes to respond to my exceeding number of texts throughout the entire experience, and never made me feel silly or stupid for being picky. She also recommended some of the best vendors to me which made the planning process much easier for me. Being that we are a military family, we had to move our date around a little bit, and they were completely understanding about it, and made it so simple and stress free. Sara came to both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding to make sure everything was meeting our expectations (which they were of course!!) And the staff the day of was incredible as well! One of them even pushed one of our guest's cars out of the mud which was hilarious and unfortunate all at the same time, but she had a killer attitude about it all! They are also very lenient, but purposeful with their rules/guidelines. Neither our guests or we felt restricted in any way, and had an amazing time! If you are considering this venue, even if it is a bit of a drive for you (it was for us) you will not be disappointed!!

The location is well kept and had the perfect rustic charm we were looking for. I got married in the Keith Glenn building, which made for an outside wedding on the pad in front of the pond and inside reception in a heated barn ideal for a sunny day in November. They include many pieces of decor, depending on which barn you choose, that allowed us not to worry about too many extra rentals. We had our wedding at Burdoc Farms this past June, and I was pleasantly surprised with the way things went and the outcome. Mrs. Sara was so accommodating and the area was beautiful. I was a nervous wreck having never done anything like this before; planning a huge wedding and arranging everything, but they made it so easy. The decorations and props are yours to move around and you can customize her packages to suit your wedding. Her and the staff stayed nearby in case of any issue, but there were none! At one point, way before the ceremony, my little ring bearer even dropped the rings in the grass somewhere!! Once Sara was informed, her and the staff even stopped what they were doing and each one helped us look until the rings were finally found! Whew! We just felt very at home here, and I absolutely recommend any brides looking for a wedding venue way off from the road, with privacy, and an amazing staff to book here. Hands down, our wedding was excellent and I owe much of that to these friendly folks!
