Excellent Wedding Venue! My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our experience at Burl Oaks Golf Club. Especially due to the venue manager Steph. Steph went above and beyond not only responding to any and all questions we had, but also did an amazing job giving us pointers. He was instrumental in keeping us both calm and organized. We never got the feeling we'd gotten at so many other venues that we were being nickel and dimed. Burl Oaks was very up front about their pricing, and it was very reasonable. The food was excellent, chef did an amazing job and our guests were raving. This venue is beautiful and the members were very welcoming. The staff did a great job to ensure that we and our guests had an excellent experience from the moment we arrived to the moment we left.

Excellent Wedding Venue! My husband and I couldn't have been happier with our experience at Burl Oaks Golf Club. Especially due to the venue manager Steph. Burl Oaks is truly a hidden gem! If you have a small to medium sized wedding, it can't be beat. The views of the golf course and its rolling hills are truly the best you could ever hope to find in the Twin Cities area, and it's tucked away, not on any sort of main road. Even better, the people there, led by Steph, are super-friendly, flexible and easy to work with and really help to make your day go off seamlessly. Finally, you really get great value for your $$$ compared to other wedding venues. Thanks to Burl Oaks to helping pull off a perfect wedding reception!

Highly recommend Burl Oaks for your wedding! The banquet manager Steph is great to work with. His team is very professional and made our day perfect. The location is absolutely beautiful - our photographer had no issue finding stunning spots for photos. Plus it was very affordable! Definitely a hidden gem!

Burl Oaks is a hidden gem wedding venue! It’s gorgeous and affordable. The wedding coordinator, Steph Hamilton, and his team go above and beyond to make sure your day goes seamlessly. Steph was also very flexible with us while we were making changes to our wedding due to COVID. Don’t look anywhere else for a wedding!

I had my wedding at Burl Oaks Golf Club 9/7/19 and it was a perfect venue. First, Steph, the event coordinator is the BEST. He was very friendly and easy to work with. He made my now husband and I very comfortable throughout the planning process. Also he was fairly flexible with our requests for the big day, which I appreciated. He was available by phone, text and email so when I thought of a question he responded within a day and was always happy to chat. Second, Burl Oaks is a more affordable venue. Per plate it was at least $5 dollars cheaper compared to other venues I toured. They didn't charge us for a keg we never opened (most places will). Also ceremony and reception fees are lower than most places. Chair rental is needed for the ceremony but it is easy since you go through the venue.Third, despite it being a more budget friendly option it does not sacrifice quality!! The food was great. My guests told me it was the best wedding food they have ever add. We served the walleye and chicken piccata, both were great! Served with salad and bread sticks-also so good! The Golf course views are so pretty. And the layout of the club is great. There is a restaurant/bar area, a outdoor deck with lot of seating and fireplaces and the ballroom. It is all connected in a circle so guests could flow to these different areas throughout the night. Okay so now for my recommendations...I think 120 guests is about perfect for the size of the venue. The ballroom is not huge. We fit 120 guests, the dance floor, the DJ, table for water, and table for appetizers and it was full.Stay at the AmericINN in Long Lake. It's a 10 minute drive from the venue and a good hotel. Get ready there. The venue has locker rooms for getting ready. I opted to get ready at the hotel.Costco wedding cake!! I spent $60 dollars for 3 sheet cakes. Burl Oaks stored them in their fridge the day before and cut and served them during the reception. Also Costco for greenery over the arch (for the ceremony) $100 dollars. My florist said no one could compete with that price. Overall, I am so happy we went with Burl Oaks Golf Club. It is a gorgeous venue and it didn't break the bank which was important to us as we paid for our wedding mostly ourselves. I would recommend this venue again and again!!

Steph and Abby were amazing to work with at Burl Oaks Golf Club! They were so helpful and accommodating as we planned our June 2017 wedding. We opted to have our ceremony outside and our reception in the ballroom of the clubhouse. The golf course is beautiful and the ballroom is gorgeous. My husband and I fell in love with Burl Oaks as soon as we toured it. Throughout the last year of planning, anytime we've had questions or concerns, Steph or Abby were just a phone call/email/text away and while I didn't really ever feel the need to call or text (we didn't have any major problems with anything), it was so reassuring that if something urgent had come up, we'd be able to get a hold of them. Everything went so very smoothly for set-up and on our wedding day. Abby was able to have the ballroom ready for us Friday evening much earlier than we anticipated. And she provided several reassuring words for me the evening before when wedding stress started to take its toll. On our wedding day, everything looked beautiful! All the other vendors had no issues dropping off flowers, cake, and setting up the ceiling draping. The food was wonderful (one of my aunts said the chicken dish was the best chicken she's ever had at a wedding!) and the service/staff were wonderful. Choosing to have our wedding and reception at Burl Oaks was hands down the best decision we made. If anyone is planning on a smaller wedding (150 guests or fewer) you have got to check out Burl Oaks!

Grooms Dinner was here (5.25.17), delicious food, good service, beautiful place for a party. Can't say too much since we didn't actually plan it, but very glad we had it there. Servers continuously made sure everyone was happy, and we had good weather so the course was absolutely gorgeous. Highly suggested.

I had my wedding at the Burl Oaks Golf Club on March 5, 2017. It was absolutely the most wonderful experience of my life. Abby, the events coordinator, was an absolute dream! Abby worked with us through the entire process, giving us suggestions for everything we didn't know about. She is so knowledgeable about everything we could have possibly needed. When we would come to her with a crazy idea we had, instead of telling us all the reasons why it couldn't happen, she talked about the different ways we could accomplish it! In the time leading up to the wedding, Abby was constantly checking in with us making sure we had everything we needed for our special day. When the wedding day came, everything was perfect. Everything was set up exactly how Abby and I had discussed. We had a brunch themed wedding and the food was absolutely delicious! The waitstaff and bartenders were exceptional. They anticipated the needs we were having but were never in the way. The weather was gorgeous! Abby suggested opening a door to the deck area so guests could be outside and inside. It was one of the best decisions we made for the night. Our guests were able to enjoy the first 72-degree spring day we were having in Minnesota with the beautiful views of the golf course in the background. The whole reception went off without a hitch! Our wedding day was perfect. My husband and I stopped looking at other venues options the second we found Burl Oaks. If you are looking for a place to have your wedding or event, stop. You've found it! I would highly recommend Burl Oaks to all my friends and family!

The venue was perfect for an outdoor wedding. We also had cocktail hour out on their deck. The staff and wedding coordinator did everything in their power to make sure everything was perfect.

Stephen Hamilton (Manager) I have helped over 150 couples get married in my career. There is truly no question that I have not been asked or heard so I am an open book when it comes to helping you and your fiance plan your perfect day. I take pride in making every wedding and event incredibly individualized. From surprise weddings, to shot-skis, and brunch in between I truly want your wedding to be unique to you as a couple.
