Buss Farms is a working cattle farm and wedding venue situated in Pataskala, OH, just seven miles east of New Albany. This 50-acre farm features a historic barn from the late 1800s, a renovated farmhouse built in 1902, rolling meadows, wildflowers, and a picturesque pond. With a range of scenic sites for both indoor and outdoor events, it's the perfect setting for weddings of all kinds. Buss Farms is owned and operated by the Buss family. Founded on faith and family, the operation was begun with the intention of caring for the land and providing healthy food. For this reason, their cattle are raised on a pure grass diet, free from harmful chemicals. The family began hosting weddings on the farm because they wanted to share their beautiful land with couples, giving them a tranquil and scenic setting for their milestone celebrations. Surrounded by nothing but cornfields, Buss Farms offers you peace and privacy for your special day. However, it's still located close enough to the city that several hotels are just a few miles away, giving you the best of both worlds. Exchange vows in a romantic outdoor ceremony in one of the farm's many idyllic locations, surrounded by pine trees and native Ohio wildflowers. Afterward, enjoy a rustic-themed reception in the welcoming ambiance of the historic barn. With its exposed wooden beams and warm lighting, it's the perfect setting for an authentic countryside celebration. Really pretty venue but rude owners. The gentleman was very particular about parking. He wanted you to park in the grass but only in the grass he said was okay. He also yelled at guests for not moving their cars fast enough out of the gravel at the end of the night and said “Can you just got already? For God’s sake.” When we were trying to get the bride loaded into our car. It was nice that you could bring your own beer but the owners need to work on their hospitality skills.

When I proposed to my wife I wanted her to have her dream wedding. We looked at multiple venues, and the moment we saw Buss Farms we knew it was the perfect place. After walking the farm with Matt and Stephanie it only added to our excitement. Planning went smoothly, communication was easy, nothing seemed to give us any trouble. On the day of our wedding, Matt escorted our guests that were not able to walk very well to their seats with the gator. The guest house provided ample room to get the bridal party ready while the gents hung out shooting pool. Lastly but most importantly, the barn turned into what seemed to be a wonderland of floral arrangements and drapery that shimmered with the perfect lighting. Coupled with the cocktail bar and fire pit there was nothing left to do but have fun. Of course it’s a great venue, but with the care and time that Matt and Stephanie take you’re assured nothing short of a perfect day! You may even gain a pair of friends, because after our time with them, that’s what they have become!

Words can’t even begin to describe how wonderful this venue and the owners are. Matt and Stephanie are simply just the most beautiful people and are doing what they are called to do. Every step of this process working with them has been a dream. They are the kindest and most helpful humans and made our wedding an absolute dream. The barn itself is spectacular. I could not recommend this venue enough and highly encourage for the hospitality alone, the views are just an added bonus!

We knew when we booked with Buss Farms that our wedding would be amazing but words can't even describe what a perfect day it turned out to be. Stephanie and Matt, the owners, are seriously some of the best people you'll ever meet. They want your day to be everything you want - they don't have any crazy rules like most venues we reached out to, & on top of that, they do anything they can to help your day run smoothly. I couldn't have imagined having my wedding anywhere else. Book with them, I promise you won't be disappointed!!

My wife and I are wedding photographers and had the pleasure of photographing at Buss Farms. What a wonderful venue just right outside of Columbus, Ohio. The service you receive from the venue is not like at other venues. Stephanie and Matt truly go beyond for all of their couples. I would highly recommend you have your reception at Buss Farms!

If you haven’t booked Buss Farms for your wedding you’re truly missing out. The property is absolutely breathtaking and the barn is limitless for whatever you want your wedding to look like. Matt & Stephanie go above and beyond to make sure everything is absolutely perfect for your special day. I’ll never stop talking about my experience working with them and our gorgeous wedding we had on their amazing property!

Matt & Stephanie (Owner) Hi there!We are Matt & Stephanie Buss, the owners of Buss Farms. We started our cattle farm for our children. To feed them quality foods and to teach them how to care for animals and the Earth. Ever since we planned our own farm wedding in 2017, we. have dreamed of opening a wedding venue! So when our cattle farming operation led us to purchasing a beautiful former dairy farm in Pataskala, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to pursue our wedding venue dream! We can't wait to be a part of your love story!
