Our award winning Heritage Room is recognized year after year for making our couplesâ day the best it can be! We love making the planning process easy & stress free . We just added a vendor inclusive package (DJ, Cake, Florist & Officiate) with the best vendors at their best price to make your planning so easy. You can customize and use only the vendors that you need. You will fall in love with our Vaulted Ceiling Venue, Octagonal Cocktail Lounge, Covered Bridge, Sunset Pictures over Wheeler Pond, raved about food & the warm, caring, above and beyond service from our family! We host 1 event per day for up to 250 guests with onsite ceremonies in any weather. You have the choice of selecting items from our seasonal menu & traditional menu to create a customized menu that is reflective of you and your time of the year! We also offer cocktail wedding receptions for a less formal event.

My husband, Zach, and I got married here at Butternut at the end of October 2023. We couldnât be happier! The staff were amazing and very helpful at making the wedding planning process easier. We worked with Hope and Toni and they were both professional and easy to work with! The vendors Butternut recommends are top notch and we had a great experience with all of them - we used Mugfords for flowers, CZone for our DJ, and Tara Sullivan for Photography! We had peace of mind knowing that our vendors had experience at the venue. The grounds are beautiful and created a magical and unforgettable wedding day for us! The food was also delicious and everyone was pleased with how accommodating they are for dietary restrictions. We cannot recommend Butternut enough!

My husband, Zach, and I got married here at Butternut at the end of October 2023. We couldnât be happier! The staff were amazing and very helpful at making the wedding planning process easier. We worked with Hope and Toni and they were both professional and easy to work with! The vendors Butternut recommends are top notch and we had a great experience with all of them - we used Mugfords for flowers, CZone for our DJ, and Tara Sullivan for Photography! We had peace of mind knowing that our vendors had experience at the venue. The grounds are beautiful and created a magical and unforgettable wedding day for us! The food was also delicious and everyone was pleased with how accommodating they are for dietary restrictions. We cannot recommend Butternut enough!

My wife and I married at BFGC back in August 2023 and it was absolutely perfect! To start, everything that comes included with the packages at Butternut are top-notch! We used Mugfords for our flowers which were absolutely beautiful and everything my wife and I pictured. CZone Entertainment (specifically Charles!) absolutely rocked it and had people on the dance floor until the very end. The food was so good as well and the passed hors d'oeuvres were delicious. The included baker Diane Rockwell did an amazing job on the cake and the different layers that you can choose from were so good! Hope and Thalita were also amazing during this whole process. Right from the start of our tour of BFGC, Hope walked us through every amenity and perk with the venue, and from the start we knew that this was the venue we wanted. Thalita was amazing with all of her help and support months, weeks, and days leading up to our wedding. On our wedding day, she had everything set up perfectly and made sure that our special day went according to plan and that we were taken care of the whole night.With all of the things that are included with Butternut Farm, it is a no-brainer to have your wedding there! The venue, the golf course, and all of the picture opportunities at BFGC make it an absolute dream place. There is no other place that we could see us getting married at than Butternut Farm!!

She was so accommodating, professional, and genuinely wanted us to have the best day ever. She was timely in response to questions and made me feel reassured throughout the stresses of wedding planning. She was always available by email. She helped to guide us on the day of, managed our time efficiently, and set up our venue with all of our decor that truly brought our wedding visions to life! The venue is gorgeous, the food was phenomenal, and the environment was picturesque! Such a great value for what you pay for! My husband also received a 4 player pass to golf at their lovely course. We loved our wedding venue & would highly recommend visiting!!

Perfection!! Our wedding day was perfect beyond what we could have imagined. The staff were all so helpful and accommodating. The ceremony area and reception hall were beautiful and spacious. The food was amazing! Cannot recommend Butternut Farm enough. Would not change a single thing about our special day!

Butternut Farm GC is an excellent all-in-one venue that will assist to alleviate the stress of planning every little detail for any couple. Hope, Toni, and the entire Butternut staff have their model planned to last detail to ensure your wedding runs smoothly. Our main coordinator, Toni, was phenomenal! The day before and especially the day of the wedding, she was coordinating wedding party, guests, and her team to help make our wedding day as stress free as possible. The Butternut team did a fabulous job of not only handling a last minute reset of all the chairs and arbor due to a rainstorm but also took care of packing up all the deliverables at the end of the night for us. Additionally, the staff was incredibly friendly throughout the whole event. All our guests have told us how amazing the venue and staff were!

If you're getting married - get married at BFGC! This was the first place out of about 8 places my now husband and I toured and after each tour, we kept going back to Butternut. The all-inclusive package with the beautiful venue and wonderful team made it an absolute no-brainer. They made the planning process so smooth and even accommodated several adjustments that came up along the way. The day of Geraldina was a rockstar- she made sure everything could run as smoothly as possible and we appreciate her and Hope so much for that.

Canât thank Butternut Farms Golf Club for hosting our wedding. Would like to give a special shout out Thalita and Hope who truly made our day special and one we will never forget. From the moment we met Hope, toured the venue, and learned about their all inclusive package we were sold. Having the majority of our vendors made planing for the big day pretty much stress fee. When it finally came to the big day Thalita our wedding day coordinator was amazing, she was on top of everything, and made sure the timing, pace and flow of the day went accordingly. Which allowed us as the bride and groom to take it all in at times and truly enjoy the day. Canât thank the enough for giving us the wedding of our dreams. Highly recommend using Butternut as your wedding venue.

I cannot say enough good things about Hope & Thalita at Butternut Farm. All of the vendors in their inclusive package were fantastic to work with and made the process so easy as a busy student living out of state! They were extremely transparent and easy to work with throughout the process and always answered my (many!) emails in a timely and helpful fashion. The weather ended up being not so great on our special day, but Thalita and her team went absolutely above and beyond to make our day perfect. I would HIGHLY recommend them to other couples and already have to my engaged friends! :)

Our wedding on 11/5/22 at Butternut was nothing short of amazing!! Thalita and Hope were so helpful and they are there every step of the way! They also had great recommendations for vendors, we loved that some were included in our package :) The venue was beautiful especially the outdoor ceremony and the golf course. It really was a night to remember, all our guests are still raving about about the food, drinks and amazing time months later. We absolutely loved Butternut Farms for our wedding and would HIGHLY recommend them, especially if you are planning a wedding from out of state like we were. Their all inclusive package where they had EVERYTHING and all we had to do was hire an outside photographer and hair/makeup made wedding planning enjoyable. We loved their attention to detail, the staff is phenomenal (especially Hope and Thalita), and very reasonably priced/customizable.

Butternut was incredibly accommodating of our requests and were able to work with us to ensure all of our needs were met, including allowing our dog to come to the venue and be in a couple of pictures with us. After the wedding every guest we spoke to were very impressed with the outstanding service and the food that was served. We could not have picked a better venue or team to work with to celebrate our wedding!

It took months to find a place as special as Butternut. There are so many great choices for your wedding venue in eastern Massachusetts. We looked as far north as Gloucester and all the way down to Plymouth.Butternut had a lot of strengths over the other venues we visited. In no particular order we rated them highly on the following: 1) Reception and Ceremony are conveniently close for your guest. The Outdoor farmer porch cover and Indoor backup options are genius and beautiful. All handicap accessible with elevator access to reception upstairs. 2) Immaculate grounds for photographs. In Spring/Summer or Fall they have wonderful floral arrangements. 3) Ease of access for guest traveling to wedding. They are conveniently not sharing any parking with other businesses. Guest will have plenty of parking available ,which was a huge plus over places we looked at closer to Boston. We had no issues setting up a shuttle service to our hotel at Embassy Suites. It's a relief when you don't have to worry about guest hitting traffic! 4) Vendor's partner relationships - Over time Butternut has developed a well vetted vendor list and we loved each one. They all work together on delivering a most memorable experience for you and your loved ones. They are constantly reaching out and will keep you in the loop on all the key decisions during the planning process. One thing that stood out was how thoughtful the staff at Butternut was in 2020 when we ultimately moved our wedding date. They invited us up on our original date and surprised us with a cake and bouquet as a thank you. Thank you Butternut! We loved every moment!

We loved Butternut from the time we first walked in for our tour. The venue was absolutely beautiful and had so many options for where to spend your time during the celebration - rain or shine. We loved the octagonal room, the beautiful reception room, and the landscaping for photos. The covered porch is also a wonderful option in case it rains! We really appreciated the payment plan (and affordability!) for the wedding also - it made it possible to anticipate all of the costs in advance of the event, and we were able to pay everything a few days before the actual reception so that we didn't have any additional \"surprise\" costs. We also loved working with Thalita as a coordinator - she made the planning so easy and was a joy to be around on the day of when we were rushing off from photo op to dance to cake cutting to next photo op, etc. Finally, the food was delicious! We were worried because we didn't get to do a tasting (due to Covid restrictions), but every guest raved about how delicious the food was - which is pretty impressive when you are turning out 80 or so steaks at the same time!Thank you so much to Hope and her team for making our day beautiful, fun, and so easy to plan.

After touring the venue with Hope and hearing about the vendor inclusive package, choosing Butternut for our wedding was an easy decision. They made the whole process so seamless including navigating a postponement, continuous COVID guidelines changing, and a tropical storm on the wedding day! We did have to utilize the covered porch for our ceremony which is an added bonus to Butternut especially with the unpredictability of the weather on our day. It really put our minds at ease knowing we had an outdoor rain option and still had the same beautiful background. We chose the stuffed filet and stuffed chicken for our entrees and received so many wonderful reviews. They selected the most wonderful vendors to be a part of their inclusive package and we could not be happier we went with the package. Our guests had a wonderful time and we had our dream wedding!

She so friendly and made us feel welcome by telling us all about Butternut and answering all of our questions. After meeting her and seeing how beautiful the course was with the pond, the covered bridge and willow tree, we were sold! During the planning process, Erin was always responsive and extremely thoughtful with helping us plan all the details for the wedding day. She truly thought of everything and made up a great timeline for us to follow. On the day of the wedding, Erin's presence and attention to detail were exactly what we needed. She and her team set up all of the details in the room exactly how we imagined. She kept us on schedule and perfectly facilitated everything, starting with the ceremony all the way through the end of the reception. The servers and bartenders were attentive, the food was delicious and all of our guests had a great time! Looking at the photos beforehand, I fell in love with Butternut, but after walking around and talking with Hope we knew very quickly that this is where we wanted to get married. You both have made everything so easy for us, with emails and meetings that we have had, I was sure everything was going to be perfect with the help of you two- and it was! Since we first met you Erin, you have been on top of everything. You made our wedding day so perfect, everything was exactly how we wanted it! From our first meeting with Hope, we knew that Butternut Farms Golf Course was the venue for us. The packages that they offered were exactly what we needed and enabled us to pull off the wedding of our dreams without going over budget. The vendors included with the packages were of the highest quality, and the peace of mind that comes from having settled the vendor question so early in the process was very comforting.However, it was the people at Butternut that really sold us on this venue. Hope made us feel right at home from our first interaction. She was incredibly responsive with questions, keeping on top of small details, and made the whole process enjoyable. Lynn was a wonderful coordinator, and I donât think we could have been so successful with our reception if not for her help and support. She and Erin made sure that the ceremony was on-time, worked with our photographer to get all the pictures we wanted (including the covered bridge shot we really wanted), and orchestrated the reception so well that we even had time to eat our full meals! Both Lynn and Erin were always present, but they were never obtrusive. I donât know how we would have made our special day without their help. If you are getting married, there is no better place than Butternut Farms. I cannot recommend them enough and will continue to tell any friends or relatives currently engaged or planning on doing so in the future that they cannot go wrong with Butternut. They make everything connected to the venue simple, easy, and affordable, so you can enjoy your big day!

Our guests could not stop raving about the beauty, decor, and cozy feel of the property, as well as the outstanding food and highly attentive wait staff. We were so well taken care of and we truly felt special due to the many months of dedication and hard work of Hope, Erin, and the entire Butternut Farm staff. We would recommend Butternut in a heartbeat, and are so fortunate that they left such a lasting imprint on our lives.

Where do I even begin with this review? Butternut Farm will always have a special place in our hearts. We toured about four different venues for our wedding. When we stepped into Butternut we knew it was our venue. Hope is so friendly and does an amazing job helping you to imagine what your wedding will look like on their beautiful grounds. She was easy to talk to and always quick to respond to my emails. When my mom got really sick about a year before our wedding, Hope took time to take us on another tour so my mom would get a chance to see our venue. Butternut was set up for a wedding the day we toured and it was absolutely gorgeous. The ballroom is spacious and has PLENTY of room for dancing. The octagonal room is so unique and the perfect spot for cocktail hour (It was also the spot that our photographer was able to take one of our favorite pictures-- with every single person that was a part of our wedding). There is also a porch that overlooks the beautiful grounds. We knew we wanted an outdoor ceremony and Butternut delivers with a gorgeous backdrop. Weather is one of the things you can't control in your wedding planning process. BUT don't fear. Butternut's backup plans work just as well. In fact-- it was one of the biggest reasons we picked it. When the wedding planning process gets really real, Hope passes you off to Erin -- who is equally amazing. Together you plan your detailing meeting and you see your vision coming to life. Fast forward to the day of. Erin is right there helping everything to go off with out a hitch. I did not have ANY worries. Our guests raved about the food, it is some of the BEST wedding food you will ever have. We made sure we took our time to enjoy it as well. Our family and friends continue to tell us it was one of the best weddings they have been to, and we have the entire STAFF at Butternut Farm to thank for that.

Butternut was going to be our venue from the moment we initially saw it back in January. It was everything we envisioned; from having a water view, to having a covered bridge for pictures. The venue and staff were top notch! Erin and Hope were amazing at answering any questions that came up during the months leading up to our wedding. My only criticism is that while I can appreciate the timeline, Erin was a little forceful with my grandmother and my husbands father, who both suffer from Alzheimers. They were getting confused with all of the hustle and bustle and I think it would have better received to have taken a few more moments of gentle guidance to make them feel at ease with everything going on around them. Otherwise, I have nothing else negative to say. If I had choose again, I would still choose Butternut Farm as my venue.

Hope and Erin are a wonderful team and made it so easy to plan our wedding. Hope gives you a wonderful introduction to Butternut Farms which is truly a beautiful site! We loved that our guests could watch our bridal photos being taken as they had horsâ deurves in the octagon room. We especially loved that the place had lots of natural light! So many venues seemed to lack that when we were looking around. After touring with Hope once, we knew this was the place for our reception. Our event would be the only one of the day (so important to us!) and the venue itself is nestled in the woods with a beautiful pond and just felt so peaceful! The day of our wedding, Erin helped us so much in organizing our large wedding party of 18. And she did so much behind the scenes to work with our photographer, DJ, and several friends who helped organize our decor and flowers. She provided us with a helpful timeline and really helped us get through tricky tasks like seating arrangements. They are truly a wonderful team that I would recommend to all!

Butternut Farm Golf Club made our day absolutely INCREDIBLE (and stress free!) We had a beautiful sun filled ceremony on the first hole at the end of June and then a blast of a reception indoors directly after. We never left the dance-floor! It was truly more than we could have asked for. Erin and Hope at Butternut are unbelievably organized and have everything down to a science so we could relax and go with the flow from booking to planning to the actual day itself. Erin is the most hardworking person in the wedding industry I've ever witnessed in my life; and the sweetest! She knows this business inside and out. Her attention to detail and the timing of each item she schedules for you is nothing like I've seen before. If you're looking to dodge the stress of renting tables, chairs, tents, caterers, and all things that cause the stress of planning a wedding (that we personally did NOT want to deal with) then Butternut is the place for your big day! We just had to choose a photographer, a florist, a bakery for our cake, and a DJ, the rest was all Butternut. Their food and drinks were delicious, from cocktail hour to dinner everyone was satisfied and full. The staff was SO nice and had impeccable presence every step of the way as well. For such an important milestone, Butternut's venue and staff blew us away on our big day, one we will never forget.

In addition to the staff, they also offer an amazing wedding and reception venue. Out of the top six venues that I visited Butternut had the most to offer with their space. Butternut Farm has so many areas for people to enjoy eachothers company and still be involved with the festivities. We were so happy choosing Butternut farm for our Oct 28th wedding reception. Butternut farm was everything we could have imagined and more! From the start of planning, Erin and Hope were responsive, detail-oriented, and thoughtful. We had a perfect fall wedding with beautiful grounds and porches decorated with seasonal flowers and arrangements. The reception hall was gorgeous with the fireplace going throughout the evening. We have continuously heard from family and friends how impressed they were with the food and service. We cannot thank Butternut enough for being the absolute best wedding venue!

I'll start by saying I could not imagine enjoying our wedding half as much as we did if it had been anywhere else, and that besides choosing each other, choosing Butternut Farm was the best choice my husband and I made in wedding planning!My now-husband and I looked at probably 2 dozen venues before we decided where to have our wedding in the fall of 2017, but from the minute we walked into Butternut Farm Golf Club we both agreed it was perfect for us. From the first day we toured the venue, Hope made both us and our families feel welcomed, comfortable, and as though our wedding was as important in her mind as it was in ours! She was kind enough to show us around not once but twice, on two separate occasions, both to make sure both of our parents got to see our choice and to be sure we got to see the ceremony space and Heritage room set up for groups of different sizes and with different layouts. The space in the Heritage Room is gorgeous set up for both big and small groups, and allowed plenty of room for mingling, plus the grounds at Butternut are incredible from the pond to the green where they host ceremonies â I loved that the porches and outdoor spaces are decorated seasonally, which was one less detail I had to worry about! Butternut Farm is a family run venue, and through the whole process of planning your event they treat you like a part of their family.Closer to our wedding, Erin took over the detailing and coordination of our big day, and I canât say enough good things about how patient and organized she is, or about how she went above and beyond to address every detail of our event. She even went so far as to arrange for the Food & Beverage manager to bring in my dadâs favorite beer, which isnât normally on their menu. She patiently fielded dozens of questions from me, my husband and my mother, and as a completely Type-A bride I had to admire how organized she is. From the menu to the dĂŠcor to the timeline of the day, she seemed to anticipate everything I wanted, and helped me fill in the gaps of some details I hadnât even considered. By the time our day arrived, I knew beyond a doubt that every detail was taken care of and that the event was in excellent hands. I expected to be stressed with last minute issues but she handled everything like an expert before I was even aware what was happening. She even personally made sure my husband and I had fresh drinks in our hand and plates of appetizers while we mingled, and kept our dinner plates warm until we were done greeting guests. Our friends and family have been raving about our wedding for the last five months, from how amazing the food was to how professional and friendly the bartenders and wait staff were. Everyone felt taken care of, and there was nothing more we could have wanted for our guests on our big day!

My husband and I are so happy we had our reception at Butternut Farm golf club!! Hope & Erin were so kind, thorough, thoughtful and helpful during our several meetings and the countless emails we sent to them. Our reception was gorgeous in the heritage room! We were able to have a jazz band for our cocktail hour which our guests loved, a photo booth tucked behind the fireplace which added so much fun for us and our guests and ample space after dinner in the octagonal room for the platters of Greek desserts as well as three flavors of delicious cake we had. Erin made sure that everything went off without a hitch, kept everything organized and on time and made sure my husband and I wanted for nothing all evening. We are so thankful and appreciative for our wedding experience at Butternut and we have gorgeous photos we took on the grounds that we will treasure forever to remind us of the wonderful start of our life together.

I cannot even begin to express how amazing my wedding day was. From the first time we saw Butternut Farm on The Knot while looking for venues to getting in our bus after the wedding, everything was so easy! Hope and Faith were absolutely amazing to work with! We got lucky and had one of the most beautiful days in October ever, but besides the weather everything and I mean EVERYTHING was perfect and beautiful. I did not feel any need to worry or be anxious the day of because I knew everything was taken care of. The food... people still tell me how amazing the food was! I am SO happy my sister in law recommended Butternut Farm to us as a venue. We fell in love with Butternut during our first visit. The grounds and building are obviously beautiful, but the staff is what makes Butternut a step above the rest. Hope was fantastic and Denise was simply a rock star on my wedding day. She made sure that all of my wedding day requests were taken care of and every detail was perfect. She was always available via email or cell during the time leading up to our wedding to answer questions and help with the planning. Incredibly organized and thorough. One of my favorites memories from our wedding was after our church ceremony when Denise brought us upstairs to see the room before the guests came up. I broke down in tears seeing how she had totally captured my vision and everything looked even BETTER than I could have ever imagined. I already had complete confidence and peace of mind going into my wedding day because everyone at Butternut was just so professional and helpful throughout the entire planning process, and you could tell they were \"invested\" in their couples as people. The entire staff was friendly and efficient, too. Their recommended vendors did not disappoint either. My guests are still raving about the whole wedding experience at Butternut. If you decide to have your wedding at Butternut, you will not be disappointed. Couldn't have asked for more!! I will be forever grateful for our amazing wedding memories.

I don't even know where to begin! EVERYTHING about our 09/09/17 wedding at Butternut was absolutely amazing! Right from the first time we met with Hope, Rob and I knew we had to book our wedding here. Hope was so inviting and so friendly, she put all of our worries about planning a wedding at ease! She was incredibly responsive to any questions we had and always got back to us within minutes of sending emails. Once we booked our wedding and started the actual planning process, we started working with Erin who is equally amazing. She was also incredibly responsive to emails and put our minds at ease with any questions we had. This woman knows what she is doing! The venue is absolutely beautiful and very well maintained. The food is incredible - we had filet mignon and stuffed chicken for our meals at the wedding and both were so delicious. The filet was cooked perfectly which can be hard to do with a large crowd. So many guests came up and told me how delicious the hors d'oeuvres and all of the main meals were. The staff was super friendly. The bartenders were great. Erin kept everything on schedule the night of the wedding and was there for our every need. I can't recommend Butternut enough! There is no way I could have gotten married anywhere else!

I am speechless when thinking about how amazing the wedding night was at Butternut! From the beginning of all the planning Hope and Erin made the experience easy and enjoyable. I fell in love with the family business and the character of the venue. Leading up to the day, Erin and Hope were very responsive to all our questions. I loved that the morning of setting up, Erin was there to help out and give suggestions and also peace of mind that the day would go smoothly. And boy did it go smoothly. Erin checked on my in the bridal sweet and even arranged for me to see the beautiful room before all the guests. After the ceremony Erin and her wait staff treated us like royalty, from holding my bouquet to delivering drinks they went above and beyond. All the guests commented on how great the service was and how delicious the apps and entrees were! The entire night was amazing and would not have been possible if it was not for the people at Butternut Farm! Thank you so much!

We are so happy we chose Butternut Farm as our wedding venue! Everything was so beautiful and all of our guests loved the grounds and everything about the location. This is a really great venue for an outdoor wedding with so many photo spots. We got many compliments from our guests on the food (hors d'oeuvres especially!), the bartender Sarah, our day of wedding coordinator Carol, and just the whole place and the staff in general. Both Hope and Carol were excellent to work with throughout the whole planning process. Hope was very informative since day one when she showed us the venue and Carol was great at helping us out with every last minute detail up until the day before the wedding. They were both very responsive to emails and always sent back quick replies. We also felt very comfortable having Carol be in charge of the wedding day as she knew what she was doing and had everything under control, including taking care of the coordinating between all of our different vendors. Butternut Farm really made wedding planning a lot less stressful than it could have been and we highly recommend it!

We could not have asked for a better venue to host our Wedding Day!There are beautiful locations all over Massachusetts, but the value of what Butternut Farm brings to the table far exceeds anything we found.... and we scouted over 30 locations!From the moment we sat down with Hope and Erin (event planners), they made us feel so welcome. We even felt that they truly wanted to be part of our special day, which became even more evident when shortly after leaving our initial meeting, we received an email where Hope thanked us for coming and told us how much she would be honored to hose our wedding. Many of the tours we took were informative, but just factual and impersonal, talking about cost options, where you stand, where you eat, and generally what to expect. Hope and Erin took the time to hear about who we were, when we met, what we envisioned for our day... it was so much more meaningful from the very beginning. Butternut Farm was actually the first place we looked at... every other tour only made it more clear that BF was the only place for us. We married on a beautiful fall day in October, and everything was as perfect as we could have expected. I could go on and on about how wonderful the atmosphere, food, service, bartenders, golf course, and everything were... but you have to see for yourself! If you are thinking of getting married here, look no further. I promise you won't regret it!

We even felt that they truly wanted to be part of our special day, which became even more evident when shortly after leaving our initial meeting, we received an email where Hope thanked us for coming and told us how much she would be honored to hose our wedding. Many of the tours we took were informative, but just factual and impersonal, talking about cost options, where you stand, where you eat, and generally what to expect. Hope and Erin took the time to hear about who we were, when we met, what we envisioned for our day... it was so much more meaningful from the very beginning. Butternut Farm was actually the first place we looked at... every other tour only made it more clear that BF was the only place for us. We married on a beautiful fall day in October, and everything was as perfect as we could have expected. I could go on and on about how wonderful the atmosphere, food, service, bartenders, golf course, and everything were... but you have to see for yourself! If you are thinking of getting married here, look no further. I promise you won't regret it!

When Nicole and I looked for a wedding reception venue, we only had a few feelings of what we thought we wanted, not a detailed list. We visited hotels, golf clubs, rental halls and caterers. But it wasn't until we visited Butternut until we felt like we found the right place, the right people, and the right package to entrust our wedding celebration to. Hope and Erin made us feel like honored guests at our visit. There was never any pressure. It was clear what they offered and the combination of interior and exterior spaces, along with numerous customization options for everything from food to decor that were included made our choice that much easier. The main room is the ideal vaulted ceiling with beautiful lighting. The flow of the venue continues as a fireplace separates the space for perfect set up of a few fun activities (kids tables and photo booth). Beyond that the flow moves to the bar and the octagonal room with a second floor deck and view for all of our guests to watch formal pictures. The space was unmatched and met the needs of our guests perfectly by allowing people to spread out and enjoy the evening the way they wanted, while still being close enough to take in all we planned. As for the day itself, Erin and Hope worked with our vendors and took on all the responsibility. Nicole and I were able to step back, take in our wedding day, and take time with all our family and friends without worrying about any of the planned details. The staff made sure all of our little touches were set up and the presentation of the dining room, reception area, and activity corners were just as we hoped. Finally, the flexibility of the staff made our wedding day just what it needed to be. When we were a little early, we still got to see our space and our guests were accommodated in the lower bar and restaurant. When the time came, there was still plenty of food and drinks passed around including for our wedding party who was with us outside! Seriously cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff at Butternut Farm! They helped to make our wedding reception one of the best nights of our lives. From the very beginning, Hope and Erin made my husband and I feel so welcome and at ease throughout the planning process. They listen to our feedback, gave advice/insight based on their experience, but always made it clear that our wedding day was OUR day and they wanted to make our day as seamless, stress-free, and special as possible. It was easy to see that they both love what they do and really care about their clients. My guests raved about the venue and the food (the food is incredible) - but, more importantly to me, they talked about how wonderful and attentive the staff were to each of them. For example, I had a loved one who is confined to a wheelchair attending the reception. We had talked with Erin, who takes care of the logistics for the actual reception, about this when we put together our seating chart. I later learned that, during our reception, Erin continually checked in with her throughout the night to make sure she was comfortable and had everything she needed. For me, that extra care meant so much. As the event planner, Erin was extremely organized and super responsive, particularly with many jittery questions that I emailed in the days leading up to our wedding. She greeted us when we arrived and was on top of everything throughout the night without us even realizing it. I would highly recommend Butternut - we are so happy that we found them!

I got married in October 2016 at Butternut Farm Golf Club and I can't recommend this venue enough. Not only is it a gorgeous location, Hope and Erin are incredible and will do everything possible to make sure your wedding is truly a dream come true. I had planned an outdoor ceremony and unfortunately, it poured the day of my wedding and we had to move the ceremony inside. I was worried the day wouldn't be what I imagined, but it was so much better. Erin put my fears to rest and I had a blast. I received so many compliments from friends and family on how friendly every member of the staff was and how delicious the meals were. Our wedding day could not have been any better and that is in large part due to Hope, Erin and the entire Butternut staff.

Butternut Farm is simply outstanding at what they do! My husband and I could not have been happier with how our wedding day went, all thanks to the amazing staff at Butternut! From our first visit with Hope, we knew this was our venue. Hope was warm, friendly and informative during our tour. She answered all of our questions that day, and all of our emails during the planning process too! Erin was also incredible during the planning, and the day of! From giving us plenty of time to set up our handmade ceremony arbor the day before, to unexpected changes to the ceremony due to weather, to requests during the reception, she was on top of every little thing that was asked of her. She and the day-of staff went absolutely above and beyond my expectations, making sure the chairs under the porch were still dry prior to our rainy ceremony under the octagonal room, to friendly service during all aspects of cocktail hour and dinner. They also took care of every other vendor drop-off/set up that day - I hardly spoke to the cake delivery, florist or DJ because Erin had it all under control! I truly can't say enough about their professionalism and how welcome they made all of our friends and family feel! The food and drinks were also amazing!! Our guests loved the fall menu inspired items like pretzels with beer dip, and fall crostinis, and the dessert apple crisp. The filet mignon was also a favorite entree item! We loved the fact that there were no hidden fees or surprise charges - linens, table numbers, the champagne toast, cake cutting - all of that was included in the cost we were told about upfront. There's also no \"room rental fee\" like you find with other venues. We really appreciated the transparency and honesty we found at Butternut Farm. The decor everywhere is beautiful - don't feel like you need to do much of anything to \"dress it up\".. the grille/bar, octagonal room and dining room are all very well-kept and photograph beautifully!

I am so happy and grateful to the staff at Butternut for helping my wedding day run so smoothly! As someone who never put much thought into how many details went into a wedding, I was pretty much clueless at the initial stages of wedding planning. Our first meeting was with Hope, who kindly walked us through the venue. She was very friendly and genuinely excited about our big day! Both the inside cocktail and reception area and outside ceremony grounds were so beautiful and barely needed decorations! Since our wedding date was November 19th, we learned that the venue could be used no matter the weather as they had a ceremony area we could use inside as well. After deciding on Butternut for our venue, we worked with Erin who was the best coordinator we could have asked for! We met with her to go over a wedding detailing sheet and timeline which were so helpful to get me thinking of every detail and setting deadlines for final lists and decisions. The day of the wedding, we were so lucky to have an almost 60 degree day and have the ceremony outdoors! :) I basically just showed up. The staff set up the tables, Erin communicated with the vendors as flowers and cake were delivered and made sure everything was on schedule so I was able to enjoy my day! All of my family and friends loved the venue and the food! We will never forget what magical day it was!

The venue at Butternut Farm is amazing! The golf club itself is so gorgeous and quaint, in the beautiful town of Stow, MA. It's especially beautiful in the fall. It's not your average country club- it feels so much more personal. Butternut has three options for ceremony locations, so you can't go wrong if it rains. But the venue itself would be nothing without the amazing staff who run it. We went to look at Butternut and loved it. Hope greeted us immediately. She was so informative, kind, and personable. She answered literally every question we had before we had the chance to ask it. She let us put a hold on the venue for our date and would let us know if anyone else became interested before we officially booked it. She was so responsive, honest, and helpful throughout the entire planning process. We then met Erin, Hope's sister-in-law, who is the function manager. She is equally as kind, personable, responsive, etc. She was present throughout the wedding and was by our sides whenever we needed her. She went above and beyond her job description to help make sure the day went by smoothly! She made sure the timeline went correctly , and always gave us the choice if we wanted her to stick to it or not. For example- I did not want our pictures to take longer than 1 hour. She made sure to keep us and the photographer on track. She did things I've never seen another wedding planner do. She pinned the boutonnieres (probably when she realized no one knew what they were doing) , and she even made me a \"throw bouquet\" last minute during the wedding. I heard many comments saying how well organized the wedding was and how efficient Erin and the rest of the staff was.And the best part of Butternut and it's staff..They make getting married a breeze. I heard many comments saying how well organized the wedding was and how efficient Erin and the rest of the staff was.And the best part of Butternut and it's staff..They make getting married a breeze. They are exceptional, and experts in what they do. Our day was perfect, thanks to them!!

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Erin and Hope and the whole staff was just amazing to work with, this was the only venue we looked at and right off we knew we didn't have to look anywhere else. Our outside ceremony was beautiful and you could definitely tell that the whole staff was professionals and have done this several times before, they knew what they were doing. The food was fantastic, the drinks were delicious and the service was fantastic. I could talk on and on about how great this place is but I don't have that much room. I would DEFINITELY recommend this venue to any couple looking for the perfect place to have their wedding. Even if it rains (which it didn't on my wedding day THANK GOD!) they are extremely accommodating and the best part is they are 100% committed into making sure that your day is the best ever! They made it all about you and even if there is something you want that they can't do, they will do everything in their power to make sure to do it in some way! In our search for our wedding venue, the last place we expected to select for our special day was a country club but we are very glad that we chose Butternut Farm. They were the only place we visited that gave the option of \"reserving\" a specific date without any immediate obligations. Hope was great giving us a tour and informing us of all the choices we would have and how the wedding could be setup throughout the venue. The outside grounds, although covered with snow at the time, were beautiful on our wedding. The ceremony and reception space were tastefully decorated and only needed small touches to personalize the space. Butternut was very accommodating with the food selections and even granted our special request for a personal pizza for the bride. Erin was super helpful throughout the planning process. She answered all my emails in a timely manner and beyond helpful the day of the rehearsal and especially on our wedding day. All of the staff were great and very attentive. They say you don't get a chance to eat on your wedding day but the staff at Butternut made sure that we and our bridal party were well fed and adequately hydrated! We have heard so many good things from many guests about how great the wedding was and how nice the venue was too. If we had to do it all over again we wouldn't think of doing it anywhere else but Butternut Farm!!

We canât say enough about Hope, Erin, and Butternut Farm! We had spent what seemed like forever looking at wedding venues and by the time we had our meeting with Hope we were extremely frustrated and about to put the search on hold for a few months to re-evaluate. But everything changed when we got to Butternut. From the moment we got there we knew we wanted to have our wedding there! Hope was so sweet and inviting, and it was clear that she truly cared about us and our day, we werenât âjust another numberâ to her. The venue is BEAUTIFUL and it was obvious they take pride in what they do (a huge seller for us was that they do 1 wedding a day so we wouldnât feel rushed or like we were in anyone elseâs way). After signing a contract I expected the âwowâ to stop but it didnât. Both Hope and Erin (the day of coordinator) were more than helpful with all of our questions, and responded to our emails within hours. Erin exceeded our expectations by meeting with us (multiple) times before the wedding to get everything all squared away and seemed to be in 10 places at once the day of, making sure every little detail went off without a hitch, all our guests were taken care of, AND made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed (food, drink, you name it) literally at all times. Iâm honestly not sure how she did it! The food was to die for (our friends and family are still raving about it), and the whole experience from start to finish was both fun and easy. We truly had the best day of our lives, and the Butternut staff are the reason why! The beauty of the building and grounds speak for themselves but what makes this place so perfect is the amazing staff, if you are considering Butternut as your venue you can stop looking now!

My husband and I could not have been happier with our venue choice for our wedding. Butternut Farm Golf Club was the absolute perfect venue for us. From the moment we first arrived at Butternut Farm we were taken back by the sheer beauty. Prior to meeting with any staff we had a feeling that this place might just be the one. Upon meeting with Hope, this instinct was quickly solidified. In our minds there was no question, we wanted to get married at Butternut Farm. We are thrilled state that we continued to be pleased with our decision throughout the entire wedding planning process as well as the day of the wedding and these days that have followed. We cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience with the staff at Butternut Farm. From the moment we first met Hope and had our tour our minds were made up. Hope made the initial planning process so easy for us. She put us at ease and had us so excited about our decision. Hope explained to us that at our detailing meeting, three months prior to the wedding, we would meet with Erin, the function manager and she would take over. Hope sang Erinâs praises, which was very sweet. Once we met Erin we saw how everything Hope said about her was well deserved and absolutely true. Erin managed the details of the wedding flawlessly. She was the point person for every aspect of the wedding leading up to it and then on the day of the wedding she was by our sides to make sure everything ran according to plan. They are both so talented in their positions. When I would email either Hope or Erin with a question they would rapidly respond, often within an hour. The Butternut Farm staff runs as a well-oiled machine while still holding onto that family feel. This is a difficult balance to accomplish and the Butternut Farm staff does it so naturally.We have gotten so much feedback from family and friends about what a wonderful venue Butternut Farm is. We have had many people comment that it is the most beautiful venue for a wedding they have ever seen. And of course we have got to pay tribute to the amazing food. It was absolutely delicious! Many guests said it was the best food they had ever had at any event. I have particular dietary needs and the chef was very accommodating. They got me everything that I needed. My nephews have food allergies and the chef prepared the perfect meal for them, which they loved! Everybody enjoyed the food so much!Hope and Erin made us feel a part of the Butternut Farm family as we planned our wedding. Then the day of the wedding this feeling was even more intensified when Erin met me at the door and whisked me into the bridal suite. Erin was even wearing a coral colored shirt that coordinated with my bridesmaidâs dresses so beautifully. Colors had never been discussed but it shows how we were on the same wavelength. My husband and I both recommend Butternut Farm for a wedding venue to anybody who is looking for a wonderful place to have their wedding. If you are looking for a beautiful venue with amazing staff who put you at ease and you want delicious food at your wedding then Butternut Farm is the place. I made a comment to my husband and Erin during pictures that I will forever stand by, it sums it all up for us. âEverything about this venue is truly perfect!â My husband and I are eternally grateful to Erin, Hope, and all the staff at Butternut Farm for helping us make our wedding dreams a reality. Butternut Farm Golf Club was the ideal wedding location and my husband and I were extremely pleased by their service and care throughout the process and the day itself! During the initial meeting, Hope made us feel like we were part of their family and not just another wedding at the venue. She provided fabulous recommendations for local vendors who knew the venue and they trusted - this made SUCH a difference!! I loved that all the vendors knew Erin and Hope along with the ins and outs of Butternut. This made my life so much easier with the coordination. Butternut has beautiful grounds for photos and the reception room itself is so classic. My husband and all the guests thought the food was amazing (unfortunately my nerves wouldn't allow me to eat). We were able to create the wedding day of our dreams at Butternut. With our large guest count, band, buffet stations, and cigar station on the deck, we really pushed the limits to the reception room! Thankfully the dance floor held up all night long!! :)Erin was so critical for the rehearsal and coordination of the wedding date itself. Her attention to detail and timing results in a smoothly run wedding. We were so happy we had Erin walking us through everything at the rehearsal - it made the day of feel natural. One example of how Erin focuses on the details was her instructions to the bar. Butternut was the absolute perfect place to have our wedding! My husband, mom, and I visited Butternut for the first time in June 2015. It was one of seven venues we saw that week, but no other venue compared to Butternut. As soon as we stepped around back and saw the view of the golf course surrounded by beautiful trees and a pond, all three of us fell in love. We were even more convinced when we met Hope, who was so warm and inviting and made us feel like Butternut truly wanted us to have a special wedding. My husband and I loved that Butternut is a family-run business rather than a corporate hotel like some of the other venues we saw: we are family people, so it made sense for us to have a family host our wedding. Over the months of planning, both Hope and Erin answered all of our questions, often responding to my emails within two minutes! Our wedding day at Butternut was truly the best day of my husband's and my life. The scenery was stunning and we had Erin behind the scenes making sure everything was running smoothly. We held our ceremony outside, which was absolutely beautiful, and moved inside for the reception. The room fit our 180 guests comfortably and allowed for all of those guests to dance almost the entire night. Butternut allowed us to add an extra hour to our timeframe which allowed us to enjoy our special day all the more. Thank you to all of the staff at Butternut for truly making our wedding day more special than we could have ever imagined. Butternut Farm Golf Club was an amazing venue with even more amazing staff! My husband and I visited Butternut Farm and met with Hope, who was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and very easy to work with. She made the process of booking our wedding very easy and answered all of our questions very quickly. As we approached our wedding date we started working more closely with Carol, who was just as friendly and knowledgeable as Hope. Carol was on top of everything and made our wedding day as stress-free as possible. We could really tell that she cared about making our day special and our guests noticed as well. The grounds were absolutely beautiful, our ceremony was outside. All our guests keep talking about how pretty the venue was and how great the food was! The entire day flowed smoothly and Carol was on top of every second. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding!

I just had my wedding at Butternut Farm last Saturday and I can't say enough good things about it! From start to finish everything went so smoothly and without a hitch thanks to Erin and Hope. The ceremony space was absolutely beautiful and the food was to die for. I can quote a couple guests that said they could live off of the scallops wrapped in bacon for the rest of their lives. The venue and the grounds are absolutely beautiful but the staff are truly what sets this venue apart from the others. Butternut is a family owned and operated business and the pride and passion they have made us 1000% confident that they would do everything they could to make our day magical, which is really was. Hope Page (Sales) is one of the sweetest women I've ever met. She was so helpful as well as patient and accommodating during the entire process. She just put us at ease with everything so when it was time for her to turn things over to Erin Page (Coordinator), I was sad! Then Erin just BLEW ME AWAY. She and her staff were absolutely amazing and did everything they could to make our day absolutely perfect and we just can't say enough about them. We were married on May 21st and the weather allowed for us to hold our ceremony outside which was so, so beautiful. Our guests loved the hexagon room for cocktail hour and the gorgeous reception room and are still raving about how beautiful and seamless everything was. Choosing a venue can be extremely stressful...until you meet with the Page family at Butternut and all your worries are gone. I would HIGHLY recommend choosing Butternut as the place to start the rest of your lives together. We have nothing but great things to say about Butternut Farm Golf Club! The venue is beautiful and clean. The waitstaff were all polite and professional. According to my now husband, there was never a long line at the bar which meant the bar staff were quickly and efficiently getting drinks out to our guests. All our guests raved about the food and I even had a few guests tell me it was the best wedding food they have ever had! Having good food is a key factor to a successful wedding and Butternut Farm without a doubt pulled that off! But we could not have had such an amazing experience with this venue without the two women who made our wedding planning experience even better than we could have imagined, Hope & Erin. Hope was the person we worked with from the very beginning up until our detail meeting. She was super responsive to any and all questions we had about our big day. If I sent an email to her at 1pm she would have a response back to me usually within the hour. It was great to have someone that attentive and I truly felt that I was getting personalized attention even though I know she was also attending to other brides. Erin was a lifesaver! We worked with her starting at the detail meeting up through the big day. She made sure everything ran as smoothly as possible and kept the wedding timeline on schedule even when we ran into small mishaps. During cocktail hour/photos, she made sure I was getting food and always had a glass of Moscato in her hands for me which was really nice. She kept telling our vendors that it was her responsibility to make sure the bride was happy and everything was going as we had planned which was yet another sign of personalized attention that really stuck out and meant something to us. We looked at a lot of venues for our special day and I am so glad we went with Butternut Farm Golf Club as they truly helped us make our wedding the best day ever!

We have nothing but great things to say about Butternut Farm Golf Club! The venue is beautiful and clean. The waitstaff were all polite and professional. According to my now husband, there was never a long line at the bar which meant the bar staff were quickly and efficiently getting drinks out to our guests. All our guests raved about the food and I even had a few guests tell me it was the best wedding food they have ever had! Hope and Erin made our wedding day absolutely perfect!\rWe had looked at numerous venues online and several in-person, but we never had that âthis is the oneâ moment, until we visited Butternut Farm. Not only is the venue itself beautiful, but the grounds surrounding the venue are picturesque, especially for our autumn wedding. We really enjoyed our wedding pictures taken outside on the greenway, with the pond in the background and at the covered wooden bridge.\rFrom the moment we toured Butternut Farm and met with Hope, we knew we had found not only our venue, but people who truly cared about executing our wedding day perfectly and the way we wanted. Both were quick to respond to emails no matter what time and always super pleasant to deal with. They were upfront and transparent. Hope, Erin and the rest of the Butternut staff were instrumental in ensuring both our guests and my husband and I had an amazing day. No detail was too small for them to get just right, and we continue to receive rave reviews from our guests as to the attention to detail, how everything looked âjust rightâ and the high quality of the food. Erin made sure we were taken care of from the moment we stepped out of the limo as far as food and drinks, as well as keep the show running from introductions to reminding us to eat dinner to locating a social father for father/daughter danceď. \rHope and Erin were there to lend their guidance and suggestions to help make our day as stress free as possible, while also giving us creative leeway to make the day and the venue âoursâ.\rWe would highly recommend you to meet Hope and Erin and have the best day of your life celebrated at Butternut Farm.\r

Hope Page (Director of Marketing) I am so happy to be the Director of Sales and Marketing for my Family's business since we started hosting weddings seventeen years ago. I love that we work together as a family to care for our couples and make their day the best it can be. I have my MBA from Babson College and undergraduate degree from Boston College. I spent a number of years working in marketing and sales for large corporations - EMC and AT&T Capital. I really enjoy working with my family and in the wedding industry. The favorite part of my job is meeting so many amazing people at such a wonderful time of their lives.
