Featuring cathedral ceilings, large timber trusses, a 2-story stone fireplace, dance floor and an upper level dining room with balcony, this 16,000 sq. foot reception lodge can seat up to 200 of your guests, plus the head table. Think of all the fun you could have celebrating this time with your family and your closest friends. It can happen right here in our Mackenzie Lodge. Our 39-room hotel is located just a stoneâs throw from the Blackmer Lodge. Caberfae Peaks Ski Resort has always been one of our favorites for skiing/snowboarding. When we found out they hosted weddings we booked ours right away. The staff took great care of us all day and night. Not to mention leading up to the wedding day, I was able to easily contact one of Caberfae's wedding coordinators, Missy, any time I had a questions. Missy was very thorough at explaining all the details of the wedding events at Caberfae. The day of the wedding was incredibly carefree. Missy moved us right along through our evening with perfect timing, and also took care of our guests in guiding them through the night as we moved onto different stages of the evening. Again, it was just a perfect, carefree day. I will always be filled with gratitude looking back at our wedding weekend. The quality Caberfae staff, our wedding coordinator Missy, and the beautiful venue cannot be matched!

Our wedding at Caberfae Peaks was a dream come true. The venue is located in the heart of Northern Michigan surrounded by a national forest, and is truly breathtaking. My husband and I chose Caberfae because we wanted a wedding that was unique and far from the typical banquet hall experience. We wanted that northern Michigan vibe, and the lodge feel of the venue was exactly what we envisioned. Also, the fact that it's a ski and golf resort means we can return to the place where we got married, which just makes it that much more special. The staff was incredibly friendly and ensured all our guests felt well taken care of. The food was exceptional, and the overall experience made it a day we and our guests will cherish forever. Our wedding day coordinator, Jessica, is an absolute rockstar, and she actually played a huge part of why we chose Caberfae for our special day. Jessica is who we met with when we came to Caberfae for the first time to tour the venue. Her warmth and kindness immediately made us feel welcomed and we just felt that instant connection that Caberfae was the right place. Leading up to the wedding, Jessica was incredibly responsive and helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was on track. On the actual wedding day, Jessica was on top of everything, actually a couple steps ahead! From the rehearsal to the post-wedding cleanup and even the morning-after breakfast, Jessica was there every step of the way. She coordinated every detail perfectly, and her team worked seamlessly to create the most magical day of our lives. Throughout the entire process, neither my husband nor I ever felt overwhelmed, thanks to Jessica's expertise and guidance, she was truly there for us during it all. Her attention to detail, ensuring everything was set up beautifully, directing guests, and regularly checking in with us made us feel cared for and at ease. Caberfae was amazing from start to finish. Catering is on site which is amazing. Missy gave us all the info to start and was super helpful. Jessica, the on site coordinator was so helpful, kind and patient!! with is. The hotel is across the parking lot so you can just walk there after dinner. Initially sent a booklet to my home with details very quickly upon inquiring about the spaces! Was happy with the eagerness, saying please reply if you would like to schedule a tour! Sadly that was the only communication they gave me. I reached out two more times trying to get in touch with someone to let me come tour the venue with no reply. I booked elsewhere because of their lack of communication.

We were married at Caberfae in June of 2022 and from the beginning we were met with honesty about the prices and received stellar communication from the wonderful staff. Especially from Jessica, our wedding coordinator. Any problems that arose were dealt with and to be honest neither my husband or I ever felt like anything was over our heads. She was there every step from rehearsal to clean up after the wedding to the next morning's breakfast. Anyone would be lucky to have her help with their wedding and for Caberfae to be their choice of venue.

We went on a venue tour and met with one of the wedding coordinators, Missy. Missy was so friendly and helpful and definitely played a role in us choosing Caberfae as our venue. She worked with us the whole planning process and was present the day of. Everything was perfect. We especially liked having everything in one spot: rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and hotel. We had the best day ever and would highly recommend Caberfae. Very reasonably priced and friendly staff.

We had to postpone a year due to COVID, as well as planned from out of state, but Missy made everything SO easy. We loved that everything was in one place: rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception and hotel - we had the hotel booked out all weekend which really made the experience even better. We booked Caberfae sight unseen and couldnât be happier with how everything turned out. Seriously, just book your wedding now!

We got married in 7/17/21 here and it was the best day ever. The team there knows exactly what to do and everything runs so smoothly. Missy, our wedding coordinator has done multiple weddings with in our family here and each one has been flawlessly. From start to finish it was the most perfect day. The venue is stunning. You pay for your plate, and bar and do not pay a venue fee, which is very nice. They provide catering and a bar tender and they work with an outside vendor for decorating and flowers and she was perfect. Our dj that we got was also very familiar with how the resort worked and their process. The only hiccup we kept running into was lodging, it was complicated for us. But that was such a minor detail. I would recommend Caberfae Peaks in a heart beat.

Whenever we visited Caberfae leading up to the wedding, everyone was so kind and excited for our wedding. You simply will not find a better all-inclusive venue than Caberfae. It is definitely a cool place to get married but we had quite a few issues throughout the wedding. First, they did not set out enough chairs for the ceremony so we had to delay it about 15 minutes while they found more. They drove a golf cart full of chairs into the ceremony site and then proceeded to knock part of the fence down. During the reception, 2 wedding crashers showed up in their golf attire. When asked to leave the guy refused. Kendra, the lady who was supposed to stick around throughout the wedding in case we ran into an issue was nowhere to be found. We decided to go talk to the front desk for help, and they said they know one of the kids, and that he is a really good kid. That was it... My father in law tried to make the guy leave and it turned into chaos as the guy said he wouldnât leave until he finished his beer. He was then forced out and it nearly turned into a fight as he was escorted outside. He was screaming and getting into the face of multiple people walking him out. The cops came and the guy ran down one of the streets near the venue. At this point, a few of our guests ended up leaving our reception. Kendra was still nowhere to be found... The last thing isnât much of a deal compared to the wedding crashed situation, but was still annoying. We wanted to offer pizza and fries at the end of the night for the few guests that stayed the whole time. We were told that they could only have fries and pizza if we paid for every guest on the list. Didnât make much sense to me. Due to the lack of eateries in the area, guests ended up eating sandwiches out of the hotel vending machine :/ We still had a good time but unfortunately you canât think back to our wedding day without thinking about everything that went wrong.

My husband and I got married at Caberfae Peaks in October 2019. Jessica, our coordinator, was nothing short of amazing. We are from 2 hours away, so planning was not exactly the easiest, but Caberfae staff made it a breeze. The day of, everything went so smoothly. While we were away taking photos, the guests were taken care of and moved around. The food was the best wedding food I have ever had, and over 50 of my guests have personally made comments to me about how that was the best food they have ever had. If you are considering getting married here, do it!

We looked into SO many wedding venues across the state of Michigan, and Caberfae beats them all, and can I mention is the most affordable as well. With Caberfae's affordable pricing, we were able to stay within our budget and invite roughly 200 guests. This venue can accommodate large weddings and can also be arranged for more intimate smaller wedding parties as well. I have been in 7 weddings myself, and have had the pleasure of attending a large amount of weddings as well, and I truly have never experienced a more organized staff. We had the pleasure of having Missy as our wedding coordinator and she made our whole process stress free! Missy was so dedicated, thoughtful and genuine throughout our whole planning experience. She was always available to answer any questions we had throughout the planning process and help us brainstorm different options to come up with the best solution. She is truly the best! The whole staff at Caberfae is dedicated, professional, and will make sure your day runs smoothly from start to finish. Another perk of this venue is that they have a resort on property to accommodate guests to stay at! We would do it all over again if we could, and we love that we got married at a venue we can return to and enjoy as well! I cannot say enough positive things about this venue and their amazing team. They are truly the best of the best

The whole staff at Caberfae is dedicated, professional, and will make sure your day runs smoothly from start to finish. Another perk of this venue is that they have a resort on property to accommodate guests to stay at! We would do it all over again if we could, and we love that we got married at a venue we can return to and enjoy as well! I cannot say enough positive things about this venue and their amazing team. They are truly the best of the best

I had an incident where my chairs were not delivered by another vendor on time and Missy Smithwick, our wedding coordinator, said to not worry. She had her team get chairs out for us right away. The timeline of the wedding was perfect as well. Missy and staff were so organized that we did not have to worry about a thing. The venue was gorgeous. We received numerous compliments on our choice of venue. Not only that, but having the hotel right across the way from the reception made for an amazing time. I cannot recommend Caberfae enough. I originally dreaded bringing my now husband to tour wedding venues. We are both very laid back, and didn't have any type of \"vision\" in mind in regards to our perfect wedding venue. From the first moment I reached out to this venue, I was completely \"wowed\" by how friendly and responsive their staff was. From there on, I was never disappointed! Missy was assigned to us as our wedding coordinator. She was spectacular! She was organized, very experienced, and genuinely seemed to love her job working with brides and grooms! It was so nice that this venue had an onsite hotel where our family and friends could stay the day of rehearsal dinner, and the night of the wedding. It was so fun to extend the festivities with our loved ones at the hotel! We received countless compliments on how beautiful the venue was, as well as amazing feedback on how great the staff was at Caberfae. Everything ran seamlessly!Want to work with a venue that supplies it all? Then Caberfae is the right place for you! The food was great! The bar pricing was phenomenal. I would say that it was a combination of its \"up north\" appeal, the phenomenal pricing (which was far below many resorts in the area) and our coordinator Missy that helped us in making this huge decision. Looking back on our wedding day now nearly two months later, everything went exactly as I could have imagined it. The day was flawless, the food was tasty, the bar was stocked and the service impeccable. Many of our guests mentioned that our wedding was the most seamless and smoothly ran wedding they had ever attended, not to mention how convenient it was to have everything all in one place. Book Caberfae for your wedding! I promise you won't regret it!

I couldnât recommend Caberfae more! Every email I sent (there were A LOT), I got a reply within 24 hours! Sometimes within the hour! We had a big wedding and rented out all of the hotel, and the entire staff was INCREDIBLE. Literally EVERY need we had, they jumped to accommodate! Not to mention, Caberfae was STUNNING. Weâve been married over six months and I am STILL getting comments from guests that it was the most beautiful venue theyâve seen. (And I agree!) The food was DELICIOUS and so easy to choose! We opted for the cheesecake as well as a dessert bar, and we did buffet style for dinner. The buffet was SO FAST. Honestly. We had over 200 people and, I kid you not, everyone had their food within 20 minutes of us starting! One of my favorite things was also how affordable everything was! There were so many venue thatâll charge you just for the space and breathing their air! With Caberfae, everything is included! We didnât have to find any outside food, and any other vendors that we needed they had EXCELLENT recommendations for! For everything that they are, they could definitely ask for more. Caberfae Peaks was AMAZING to work with! From their professional team, to all their local vendors recommended, they made my wedding experience easy and less stressful. If I could describe Caberfae weddings in one phrase, it would be \"One Stop Shopping.\" Caberfae thinks of EVERYTHING you may need, and makes it happen! They cater their own food, which is delicious, and then invite all their local vendors from the area to their taste testing to meet with you. This is the best idea ever, I spent half a day at Caberfae tasting yummy food and found all my vendors needed for my wedding. From photography, videography, DJ's, photo booths, decorators, florist, and much more, they make planning your wedding hassle free. All of their outside wedding vendors are awesome to work with as well. Only downsides to Caberfae is their limited amount of hotel rooms on site. I had to stay off site at Evergreen Resort in Cadillac about 25 minutes away. The resort there was very nice though and had plenty of rooms to accommodate a 150 guest party from out of town. Second thing to think about is that there is not a cake baker in Cadillac... I had to bring my cake in from Grand Rapids, where I'm from. Other than those two things, the wedding was worth every penny at Caberfae. I would highly recommend going there for your wedding!

My husband and I were so happy with our daughterâs wedding at Caberfae Peaks! The entire weekend certainly exceeded our expectations, from the Rehearsal Dinner to the Sunday morning brunch. We thought so, and many of our guests commented, what a great wedding weekend it was. We think the venue and incredible staff at Caberfae Peaks, certainly were a large part of the reason for this! We didnât realize this until the weekend began, but being able to stay on property and have the rehearsal dinner, as well as the reception on site, certainly added to the great experience. Our guests were able to mingle together before and after all of the official activities ended. The Caberfae poolside area was a perfect area to accommodate the informal activities and provided a relaxing atmosphere for this. We canât say enough about the food too! It was very good and also exceeded our expectations. The rehearsal dinner, the reception, the Sunday brunch all were delicious. The items that stood out were the Walleye, beef brisket, green beans and the Sunday morning waffles with the fresh fruit and variety of toppings.Specifically, we wanted to mention some of the staff that stood out during the weekend. The night manager, Marvin, was so patient and kind to us as we enjoyed socializing in the pool area on both Friday and Saturday nights. And when the frantic bride could not locate her wedding day jewelry the night before, he kindly unlocked the reception hall and helped us locate the bag, while searching by flashlight! Also, the supervisor, Jessica, helping to clean up after the reception, was very accommodating as we were gathering our personal decorations. Then, at Sunday morningâs brunch, she was there again and was so nice and helpful as we were moving the wedding gifts out of the brunch area.Lastly, but certainly not least, working with Missy was an absolutely wonderful experience! She was so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire weekend. It was easy to see she enjoys her role at Caberfae Peaks, with the enthusiasm she showed for our wedding, even though she sees so many weddings there. We appreciated how much she reached out to us throughout the weekend to ensure things were going OK, or if anything was needed. She has a great attention to detail which helped make the entire event a wonderful experience for all, especially the bride and groom!

We didnât realize this until the weekend began, but being able to stay on property and have the rehearsal dinner, as well as the reception on site, certainly added to the great experience. Our guests were able to mingle together before and after all of the official activities ended. The Caberfae poolside area was a perfect area to accommodate the informal activities and provided a relaxing atmosphere for this. We canât say enough about the food too! It was very good and also exceeded our expectations. The rehearsal dinner, the reception, the Sunday brunch all were delicious. The items that stood out were the Walleye, beef brisket, green beans and the Sunday morning waffles with the fresh fruit and variety of toppings.Specifically, we wanted to mention some of the staff that stood out during the weekend. The night manager, Marvin, was so patient and kind to us as we enjoyed socializing in the pool area on both Friday and Saturday nights. And when the frantic bride could not locate her wedding day jewelry the night before, he kindly unlocked the reception hall and helped us locate the bag, while searching by flashlight! Also, the supervisor, Jessica, helping to clean up after the reception, was very accommodating as we were gathering our personal decorations. Then, at Sunday morningâs brunch, she was there again and was so nice and helpful as we were moving the wedding gifts out of the brunch area.Lastly, but certainly not least, working with Missy was an absolutely wonderful experience! She was so knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire weekend. It was easy to see she enjoys her role at Caberfae Peaks, with the enthusiasm she showed for our wedding, even though she sees so many weddings there. We appreciated how much she reached out to us throughout the weekend to ensure things were going OK, or if anything was needed. She has a great attention to detail which helped make the entire event a wonderful experience for all, especially the bride and groom!

She was a lifesaver during the whole process. So many guests complimented us on the food and how beautiful the venue is. You can really tell that Missy and the entire event staff enjoys hosting weddings, and want your day to be absolutely perfect! Their all inclusive pricing is also super reasonable, especially compared to similar venues in the area. I would recommend Caberfae a million times over! (They also have a super awesome vendor list!)

WOW! I truly cannot say enough wonderful things about Missy and the entire staff at Caberfae. They are the embodiment of teamwork, and worked to ensure that my husband and I had the most perfect day possible, and that our guests were happy and comfortable. There were some small snags during dinner on the big day, but I had no idea about them until after the reception was over because Missy handled them flawlessly and quickly! The planning process with Caberfae is so seamless - their preferred vendors are all incredible to work with. You have flexibility with being able to bring in other DJs or cake bakers, but why do that when someone has already taken the liberty of hand-selecting the best in the region?! I also want to add that the hotel staff at MacKenzie are AMAZING. We blocked out over half the hotel the night before, and the whole thing the night of the wedding. They did everything in their power to accommodate all of our guests and their needs - it honestly felt like they wanted us to have the perfect day as much as we did! A few other things to point out that are exceptional at Caberfae are the ceremony site - we held ours outdoors and the view and location are superb! It's so easy for guests to get to and from the hotel, ceremony, and reception, that it made no sense to go anywhere else for the ceremony. We also had several handicapped guests that were accommodated comfortably and without hesitation from Missy and her team. I honestly cannot imagine a more perfect wedding for my husband and I than the one we had at Caberfae. THANK YOU!!

The ceremony, the reception, the rehearsal dinner, a morning after breakfast, and even a lodge for your guests to stay at! Their recommended vendors are all absolutely perfect! We used them all and had no disappointments! And let's not forget that this amazing venue is SO AFFORDABLE! We had such a hard time finding a place that was remotely in our budget and a place that we liked. By some miracle we found Caberfae and it was the most perfect place for us! If you are thinking about having your wedding at Caberfae Peaks, all I can say is DO IT! I have never met a more friendly and accommodating staff. From the first time I walked into Caberfae I knew it had the vibe I wanted and after meeting Missy I knew I had nothing to worry about. They took care of so many things I would have never thought of and made sure our day ran smoothly. Some of the highlights: 1. They get people their food FAST. I can't believe how fast the buffet line went. 2. They are so smart about when to feed people and how much. We did appetizers and late night pizza and it always felt like the perfect timing. 3. They will do everything they can to make it the way you want. I emailed Missy two days before the wedding asking if we could have dressing on the side for all the salads (the seasonal salad is amazing), even though it was super, super short notice, they made it happen. 4. They have awesome recommended vendors. If you have your wedding at Caberfae USE TIE THE KNOT BOUQUETS - Melissa is seriously amazing and she will not only do your flowers, but she will also decorate the entire place for you. She made my wedding vision come to life and made it 100 times better. We also used Eagle Entertainment for the DJ, and Josh does an incredible job. He kept everyone on the dance floor all night. 5. Overall, they are just the sweetest people I have ever met. The wedding industry is tough to be in - and they without fail were so nice and friendly. From Missy all the way down to the servers. Everyone always had a smile and was willing to help with anything. You can tell those people really enjoy what they do - and it's so nice to be surrounded my happy people on the happiest day of your life! \r\rSO, your take away? Get married at Caberfae Peaks. This is a beautiful resort that knows how to do weddings! The staff is all incredibly helpful and the food is wonderful! The natural surroundings make for great pictures if you choose to have the ceremony outside, and the beautiful lodge makes it almost unnecessary to bring in other decorations. Caberfae made our wedding day so much easier than it could have been (especially with Missy and Jessica keeping things running smoothly on the big day) and I would recommend it to anyone!

Honestly I can't say enough positive things about Caberfae. It was such a gorgeous venue and the price was amazing. I wanted my dream wedding but couldn't afford everything I'd wanted, until I found Caberfae that is. \r\rI had RSVP'd for around 100 people and we payed around 2,000 dollars for everything. That included ceremony and reception location, food (buffet style), semi-open bar, and hor dourves. They had so many options to choose from too, so if you wanted to have a sit down dinner or a cash bar that could be available. Even with a low cost, the quality was amazing. No one could stop talking about how great the food was, or how gorgeous the venue was.\r\rNot even thinking about cost, the service in general was amazing. Missy was basically in charge of everything and it all went off without a hitch. I'm far from a control freak bride, so it was nice to have someone to keep me on track. \r\rDefinitely would recommend Caberfae to anyone in the area! Check it out!

Great setting for a semi-formal affair. Cocktail hour was separate from dinner, which helped break up the evening. The dinner area was on a second floor loft with a balcony overlooking the dance floor.;Dance floor was surrounded by three walls, so people couldn't stand around and watch all the dancing as well as hoped. However, there is a balcony from the second floor, where dinner takes place, that can be used to view the dancing.
