Camp Holiday Trails is a unique wedding venue located in Charlottesville, VA. A scenic campsite in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this 73-acre property is the perfect wedding location for lovers of the outdoors. Camp Holiday Trails is a year-round non-profit camp for children and teens with diverse medical needs. Since 1973, they have provided over 10,000 children with a fun camp adventure, allowing them to safely experience the outdoors with medical supervision. If you choose Camp Holiday Trails as your wedding venue, you’ll be supporting their mission to help children with medical needs thrive. Camp Holiday Trails offers a variety of spaces where you can hold your ceremony or reception. For your ceremony, you could choose the Campfire Circle. A picturesque grassy spot surrounded by cabins, it’s perfect for both exchanging vows and roasting s’mores. Other ceremony sites include the front pasture under large trees, by the waterfront with floating docks, or indoors in the Dining Hall. However, you’re welcome to choose any spot across the site’s 73 acres. The rustic Dining Hall can also host receptions, seating 175 guests and featuring wooden floors and a spacious wraparound deck. Alternatively, you could choose the Pavilion, which features overhead lighting, a front stage area, a dance floor, and a bar. When the celebrations are over, you and your guests can retire to the comfort of the cozy lodges and Blazer Cabin, which sleep 14 and feature all modern amenities. They’re also a convenient space for couples to get ready before the ceremony. To assist you with planning, the venue can provide you with a list of approved caterers and vendors. Camp Holiday Trails is such a special place with a wonderful mission. This was the perfect place for us to have our wedding. We had our ceremony at the fire pit and the reception in the pavilion. Tina was very professional and communicative throughout the process from signing the contract to the day of our wedding. The venue is so beautiful and will always hold a special place in our hearts.

We had our wedding reception at the Camp Holiday Trails pavilion and had a wonderful time. The space was able to fit a dance floor, bar, buffet, and 140 guests throughout the evening. The surrounding area is beautiful, especially the trees and view around the fire pit (which was a huge hit with the less dancing-inclined guests!). The dining hall was also great, as our caterer was able to use the massive camp kitchen for prep, and the freezer was essential for storing our ice cream! Tina was also a delight to work with – she was quick to respond to any questions and was very accommodating in helping us work in camp visits outside of camper sessions. Overall, we were very happy with our choice of wedding venue.

Tina LaRoche (Manager) Camp Holiday Trails engages kids with medical needs in awesome camp experiences. Over many decades, we have also hosted many joyful weddings who enjoy spending more time with their guests by renting camp for a day or a f2 to 3-day weekend.
