Candlelight Farms is a stunningly beautiful destination. If you choose a rustic, elegant, or glamorous wedding, you can find the perfect setting on our 640-acre estate. Candlelight Farms offers 3 venues to suit your wedding style and size. Our majestic antique airplane "Hangar" is a unique and beautiful space, located next to a private airport landing strip on our lower farm area. We also have a Helipad if you prefer your own private helicopter arrival. If you want to make a GRAND entrance to your wedding, this is it! The HANGER offers incredible panoramic mountain and lake views, nestled in rolling pastures and meadows. 100 yr old oak trees and birch clusters offer shade for your guests, and the "perfect spot" for your vows. The HANGER comes with a portable bar setup, farm tables and twinkling bubble lights. The interior doesn't need much decorating to complete your event theme, with ambiance already being provided inside and out, on the the surrounding 600 acres of our Farm. "The HANGER" is a one of a kind venue, and will provide memories of a lifetime for your special event. "The HANGER" holds 190 people comfortably. Pricing starts at $10,000. Our second venue is located on the upper portion of our farm, and offers a combination of 3 buildings for your event. "The Farm" package comprises of The Clubhouse, The Lower Barn, and use of our historic 1843 Inn. There are several gardens, courtyards, and panoramic views and knolls which overlook the entire 640 acres of our farm. "The CLUBHOUSE" has cozy rustic charm and can also be used for rehearsal dinners, dressing areas, or after parties. It offers a bar set up and small kitchen, rustic barn wood walls, twinkling bubble lights with cathedral ceilings, and a glorious fireplace with a sitting area. The views are mountains, meadows and gardens. Several grassy areas adjoining can be used for tent set ups, as well as your own personal fire pit with outdoor seating for after parties. The clubhouse will hold 35 people. "The BARN" has a warm and inviting atmosphere with wooden beams, stone walls and twinkling bubble lights. An expansive covered porch overlooks our beautiful 26-acre pond, mountains and 640 acre farm, and can host up to 90 guests for intimate receptions or cocktail hours. With a tent, up to 500 guests can easily be accommodated. Candlelight Farms "Farm Package" also includes use of our common rooms, parlor, and dining area in our Inn, for the bridal party with hair, makeup, mimosas and dressing for your big day! Rooms can be reserved by the bridal party if available. The INN offers 5 historic country style B & B accommodations, with all 5 rooms being unique and different. Pricing for our "Farm Package" starts at $8,500. The third option is the entire property can be rented for the day for $27,500. I don't even know what to say... Candlelight is a dream come true!! My wedding was magical, stunning, and stress free. Nancy and Carl own a gorgeous farm and the Hanger was exactly what I always pictured my wedding reception to look like. Nancy helped me throughout the process by giving me suggestions for vendors and always answered any questions I had. I am so sad my wedding is over but I am blessed and grateful for everything Nancy did to make it absolutely incredible.

I don't even know what to say... Candlelight is a dream come true!! My wedding was magical, stunning, and stress free. Nancy and Carl own a gorgeous farm and the Hanger was exactly what I always pictured my wedding reception to look like. Carl, Nancy, and Kathy were so great to work with! They helped answer all our questions and were so accommodating for our big day. The venue was beautiful and they helped make sure it encompassed our vision, which was amazing!

Nancy, Kathy, and Carl were nothing short of amazing! From the minute we booked the venue to our final goodbyes, they were so easy to work with. Kathy was always quick to respond. Nancy was warm and inviting. Carl was just so sweet! Overall the perfect venue for our dream wedding.

I feel very torn writing this review since there is no denying how breathtakingly beautiful this venue is. Every square inch of the property is picturesque. However, I was pretty disappointed with the staff's involvement, or lack thereof specifically at the Hangar. I was constantly told by the owner to not invest in a day of coordinator even if I was planning the wedding myself, as she ensured me she would be involved heavily the day of. This unfortunately was not the case. I had to constantly be on them reminding them of every detail and was pretty much left on my own. They were nowhere to be found after the ceremony on my wedding day and I just felt very unimportant. I got married on one of the biggest wedding weekends so I understand the demand but I did not feel valued at all as a client/bride. From renting everything from lighting, bathrooms, chairs, garbage cans, etc., I felt completely unprepared and not supported by the staff. I would recommend a day of coordinator if you choose to book this venue and a lot of patience and follow ups.

Nancy, Carl, Diane, Kathy and the whole team at Candlelight Farms really made the wedding. Nancy treated us like this was a family event for her. She helped us make it unique and fun, provided insight from her years of experience and was so encouraging (it was a 99% chance of rain, she told me you will get your outdoor ceremony and boy did she deliver). Our guests were blown away by the property and the views. Truly we added very little in the way of decor because the property is so stunning on its own, and the Pinterest shed had everything we needed. We did the exclusive wedding weekend and it was everything I hoped for. The ability to have everything in one property but different sites, our bridal party all got ready in one place which reduced stress, we had breakfast and snacks all day. It was really like having a family and friend reunion topped off with a a beautiful wedding

We got married at The Hangar this past weekend and it was the most magical day! Nancy and Carl are the kindest people you will ever meet and are so attentive to any questions you have. Nancy knows all the ins in outs of planning a wedding, and has the best vendors to recommend. They even have endless decor from past weddings that all brides and grooms are welcome to borrow for their day. The entire property is easily the most beautiful place in CT and we are so honored to have been married there. Candlelight Farms will forever hold a special place in our hearts!

We got married at The Hangar this past weekend and it was the most magical day! Nancy and Carl are the kindest people you will ever meet and are so attentive to any questions you have. Candlelight Farms Inn is even more stunning in person than the pictures online. When we visited last October we immediately fell in love with the entire farm. It's natural rustic charm is what we fell in love with first. Then the ability to customize the entire day made us feel super special and unique. Nancy was amazing to work with and is so thorough, professional, helpful, and warm! She helped orchestrate the perfect wedding day that we wish we could go back and experience over and over again! It was the easiest decision we made during the whole planning process!

Candlelight Farms was an amazing and elegant backdrop to the most perfect day I've lived. If there was one sure thing that I never had to worry about while planning my wedding, was that I could fully trust that our venue would be ON POINT. We booked over a year out and Nancy's support and integrity never wavered. She was always upfront and honest about the realities of wedding planning and I trusted her from the moment we met. Her and her family have extreme pride in their grounds and they should because they are stunning and immaculate any day you visit. Even with the surprising chilly weather on that September day, everyone was there to party and our hosts were there for anything that was needed. Please do yourself a favor and visit the grounds, I guarantee that any kind of outdoor party you can imagine, that place will exceed your expectations every time. I have so much gratitude to Nancy and her wonderful family for making myself, my husband, and our guests feel so immensely welcome. Thank you so very much Nancy <3 - Steph and Steve.

My husband and I got married at Candlelight Farms in September 2017 and it was the best day of our lives!! I could not recommend a better venue! We checked out a lot of places in the area, but what we loved about the farm (in addition to being absolutely beautiful) is how laid back it is. It is not a wedding factory where you will be rushed in and out. We did the Dreams Package and had our rehearsal dinner there Friday night and I stayed in the Inn with my mom and bridesmaids. Nancy and Diane made us a wonderful breakfast while we got our hair and makeup done - the whole morning was so relaxing! The Farm is so beautiful any time of year for the ceremony and reception. All of our guests are still talking about how much fun they had all weekend! It really is the best place in the area, especially if youâre hoping to host a wedding weekend event! Nancy and Carl are also great to work with. Nancy recommended amazing vendors and I would definitely suggest using the businesses she recommends. They all work together so well the day of to make sure everything goes according to plan (and if it doesnât they make sure the bride and groom donât notice!). We had an issue with our bathroom trailer that I rented (that I didnât know until the next day) and our caterer, Nancy, and Carl all worked together to make sure it was fixed in time. Nancy is very helpful in answering questions and giving suggestions (without being pushy) for how to decorate or coordinate your day. She was okay with us popping by throughout the year while we were planning to check things out and to look at the decorations. We couldnât have chosen a better place, I highly recommend going to check it out for yourself (the pictures donât do a justice)!! I canât wait to stay at the Inn in the future for an anniversary or two âș

This review took up a lot of time in my mind over the last several months leading up to my wedding this past September 16, 2017. I couldn't wait to get home from our honeymoon to write a review, worked on it from our plane and spent a lot of time in the following short couple weeks to make it as perfect as possible. From the time I was a young little girl, I DREAMED of having a rustic barn wedding. A beautiful landscape with lots of greenery and flowers. My husband and I only looked at a few venues that matched this description because of my expectations and my vision. When I drove up to Candlelight Farms, my mind went to my Pinterest page, my dreams. To make the beauty of the venue itself better, Nancy is a beautiful soul both inside and out. Carl and her, as well as all other workers who help them, work diligently together to keep the place beautiful, and ready for weddings. Birch trees in front of a beautiful landscape overlooking a small peeking eye view of the lake help to make the ceremony an even more memorable experience, made it even better than I could imagine. Any question, fear or concern I had (my husband seemed to be more calm), Nancy was emailing or calling me within mere minutes to calm my fears. The details ran smooth with Nancy, who gladly helped any way she could. Up until the big day, I felt comfortable emailing Nancy at any given point and she gladly helped. The day of, she went above and beyond to keep my nerves at bay, give me glimpses of what the decorations looked like, and she was there every step of the way. She also added special details completely on her own much to our surprise. Candlelight farms is the utmost most beautiful scenery, most welcoming family and most memorable place to hold any rustic wedding, or any wedding where a couple is looking to have a beautiful wedding with warm company to help plan. Nancy has become like a second mother to me, and still only a month later, I often think about how grateful I am that picking a wedding venue allowed for people like Carl and herself to be a part of mine and my husband's journey. I could go on for days talking about Candlelight Farms and the people who keep it running, but go take a look for yourself. I promise you won't look back or regret it.

I had a Sunday afternoon brunch themed wedding in June at Candlelight Farms and it was absolutely perfect. The property is stunningly beautiful, and Nancy will treat you like a friend from your first interaction with her. She is always on top of communication and is a wealth of information in the midst of the craziness of wedding planning. My experience with her and the venue was everything that I wanted for my wedding, and our guests still won't stop talking about what an amazing day it was.

I can't say enough good things about Nancy at Candlelight Farms Inn. The Inn was beautiful and Nancy was prepared for every and any situation. She was very responsive during planning and her and her staff helped the entire weekend with planning, food, and other general tasks. The grounds are expertly maintained and provide for a picturesque Connecticut wedding. I am so happy with my decision to spend our special day at Candlelight Farms Inn.I also opted for the weekend package and my guests and I really loved having the weekend to ourselves at the venue! Made it easier for my wedding party that was traveling and we had so much fun throughout the weekend.

I can't say enough good things about Nancy at Candlelight Farms Inn. The Inn was beautiful and Nancy was prepared for every and any situation. She was very responsive during planning and her and her staff helped the entire weekend with planning, food, and other general tasks. The grounds are expertly maintained and provide for a picturesque Connecticut wedding. I am so happy with my decision to spend our special day at Candlelight Farms Inn.I also opted for the weekend package and my guests and I really loved having the weekend to ourselves at the venue! Made it easier for my wedding party that was traveling and we had so much fun throughout the weekend.

My husband Jason and I just had our wedding at Candlelight Farms Inn on September 25, 2016. This day was everything I had envisioned it to be. The setting of the farm at this time of the year is breathtaking! Summer flowers still in bloom and fall leaves taking over the trees. It was the most spectacular setting for our special day. The weather was better than perfect ! The barn was decorated exactly the way I saw it in my mind. Pumpkins everywhere, bright colorful flowers, farmhouse tables and chairs, lights strung from the beams. It all took my breath away. I had said to Jason when we first got engaged, I want our wedding at Candlelight. I knew there was no where else I would want to exchange our vows and be joined by all our family and friends. Nancy and her staff did an amazing job and were there every time we needed them for something. I swear I feel like I got married on my own property as that is how they make you feel. If anyone is looking for that perfect country setting to have their wedding, this is the place for you. Your pictures will be filled with gorgeous scenery and barns, stables, cottages, you name it. Luckily we live so close that we can go up and visit from time to time just to relive that day in our minds all over again. My many thanks to Nancy, Carl and Chris for their hospitality, generosity, patience and friendship. This is my home away from home :) Love!!!!!

Candlelight Farms Inn was what I had always dreamed of when i thought of our wedding. It is massive amount of natural stunning space that can be customized to make your own. We had a rustic style wedding with tons of crafty DIY touches which were easily accommodated. Nancy was so easy going and amazing to work with, she truly cares about the couples she hosts and it is obvious in all that she does. We got married on 10/3/15 and it was an exceptionally cold day at 45 degrees during our ceremony... we still had it outside and i am SO glad we did because the scenery is breathtaking and worth all the shivering. In fact we were so in love with the farm that we had our rehearsal dinner in a small elegant barn on site and Nancy assisted to organize the actual rehearsal. We felt like we were \"home\" all weekend of our weekend, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I can't wait to go back for future celebrations. A true dream come true!

My husband and I had our wedding at Candelight Farms in July of this year (2015). While on our honeymoon, we constantly reflected on our wedding weekend as the best weekend of our lives! Candlelight Farms is, in our opinion, the most beautiful wedding venue on earth! The grounds are absolutely breathtaking- so beautiful, in fact, that decorations are hardly needed. The gardens, lake, and beautiful barns make for the perfect rustic, farm-feel wedding. I love to craft and DIY- another reason the farm was perfect! I had plenty of space to add little personal touches to make the venue feel like âus.â On the day of our wedding, our guests commented that the venue was the most stunning they had ever seen. Aside from the beauty of the farm, Nancy, the owner is WONDERFUL. Within 10 minutes of meeting her, I knew that I wanted to work with her. Her warm personality, timely communication, advice, experience, and love for what she does are just a few of the things that I came to love about her! Prior to our wedding, Nancy and I would e-mail on a consistent basis- I always felt like my questions were answered promptly and in detail. As the wedding drew closer, we decided to have our rehearsal dinner in one of the barn at the farm (why would we have it anywhere else?!). Nancy helped to organize and decorate for the dinner! She also helped to run the rehearsal which was so comforting. On the day of the wedding, Nancy helped wherever she was needed! She has a way of knowing what needs to be done without even having to ask. In closing, my husband and I have the warmest memories of Candlelight Farms and we look forward to having anniversary parties and other events there in the years to come!!!

She helped with all the details and was very accommodating to our needs and vision. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, classic, rustic New England wedding. I was married at Candlelight Farms on June 7, 2014 and it was absolutely the best day of my life!! Nancy and Carl played such a big role in making my wedding day the best day ever and I can't thank them enough. To start, the property is expansive and gorgeous. And the inn is beautifully rustic with modern amenities, My photographer had never been to the farm and he was like a kid in a candy shop wanting to take pictures in all different locations. Nancy was by my side throughout the day, making sure all the details were taken care of, right down to helping me take a deep breath before the walk down the aisle. And previous to my big day, she was always available to meet with me and discuss anything I had questions about. She has so many wonderful suggestions after having seen so many weddings, and has accumulated a lot of wedding craft supplies to help you save some time/cash. From day one she was a great source of support! Everyone at the wedding couldn't get over the beauty of the farm and I hope to return for another party some day!

If you are looking for an outdoor, tented wedding, with the most beautiful landscape and the kindest people, look no further! Candlelight Farms Inn is off the beaten path, but so worth the drive. This breathtaking property overlooks rolling CT hills, a pond, birch trees, horses, farm animals etc...Nancy and Carl are the owners of the property and two of the kindest people I have ever met. They are extremely accomodating and enthusiastic. The Inn is gorgeous, with old world equestrian charm. It was a dream come true and I can't wait to visit there again and again.
