Casey is a gem! Funny, helpful, and generous. We had our choice of a few different event spaces, each more beautiful than the last! We chose the Horse Barn because of its accessibility and proximity to facilities for our guests. Our guests loved getting to wander around the grounds before the event started. All of our pictures are stunning - the whole property is so beautiful. We had access to the cooler and freezer in the Horse Barn for our very DIY reception, which was key. The CSV staff was so helpful in making sure we had everything we needed in the space. I felt that we had ample time available to us for set up and break down for the wedding. It was great to have access to the space the day before the wedding so we didn’t have to worry about setting up on the wedding day. All of our friends pitched in to help us decorate, and it was an extra day of fun for us all. It was a great bonus that there is a cafe on site! We also appreciated the flexibility to pick up all our gear on the day after. The grounds are open to the public, and we even got a year long membership to the Village as part of our wedding package! Thank you so much to Canterbury Shaker Village, what a gift to be able to visit our wedding venue for years to come. I’m getting teary-eyes thinking about it!! Reviewed on 10-09-2023
Rachel Morrison(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-10-2022 We had an outdoor ceremony in the village and a brunch reception inside the Horse Barn for our wedding and it was perfect! Rae was so nice to work with throughout the process. She answered any questions we had and set up several meetings beforehand with us and our caterer so we could plan how to set up the barn, which was very helpful. The village itself is such a pretty place to have a wedding, and the Horse Barn was just what we wanted for a rustic feel. Reviewed on 03-11-2022

Caitlin J(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-06-2014 It is a beautiful location with exactly what I was looking for in my rustic wedding. However, the prices are a bit steep for what they provide; essentially, just a field and you have to bring everything else. Gorgeous location if your splurge is going to be the venue, though. Randi K Bakken(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-10-2010 This was a beautiful site for a wedding! They have options for an outdoor ceremony with sweeping views of the pond, gardens, or forests. We had our wedding in a replica barn, which was stunning and comfortable for our guests during a chilly evening. There are lovely historical buildings and fabulous backdrops. The on-site Greenwoods Restaurant allows for an easy transition from ceremony to reception. Reviewed on 03-11-2010
